This time my standout tracks were Run Run Run, which I’ve never paid quite so much attention to before, coming as it does, between the rough and ready gems of Venus in Furs and All Tomorrow’s Parties. And European Son, probably because I thought of it when listening to Can’s Ege Bamyasi album and the possible influence (or one-upmanship?) on the latter album. . With such great songs as #imwaitingfortheman #femmefatale #venusinfurs #heroin #alltomorrowsparties love how this controversial album was banned from many a record store for its content - I actually have the real cover that peels to a flesh colored banana - thanks Andy! - everyone pretty much hated this record when it came out - I loved it! However it was the 70’s when I discovered the record . I was a big fan of Warhol and loved Andy’s Work as my Mom turned me onto him and later in life we met in NYC at the great club #area - this album is a love letter to the seedy side of 60’s NYC nothing but love for The Velvet Underground, was lucky enough to see the reunion in New York City Enjoy!
