roro do you remember that interview where ellen and jim told stories of how back in the day jack and quinn always did their own things together so theyd had to remind them to let luke join in too

what would that dynamic be like with stella in the mix :00 because i feel like she and lukey def grew up besties -> also luke is a princess tea party enjoyer because of it

luke and stella were always mistaken as twins from how close they were, always at each others side and the fact that ellen loved matching them didn’t help. quinn and jack were attached to the hip, just as luke and stella were.

but sometimes luke wants some boy time, doing things with his brothers, so he’d ask if he can join only to be waved off, saying that he can’t play with them. So luke would sigh and walk away, feeling a little discouraged. He’d make his way to his sister’s room, opening her door to see her sitting on the ground, dressed up in a dress and crown, surrounded by her tons of plushies and her tea set.

stella could never say no to luke so she’s quickly invite him to join her, and luke would eventually confess to his feelings being hurt by jack and quinn when they had ‘gossip time’

and whenever quinn and jack would eventually get bored of whatever they would be doing they would go through the house, searching for there younger siblings to play with. Stella would great them with a glare telling them that they could play with them, she’d grab luke’s hand and dramatically close her door in their face. Or she would only let them play with them after they apologized to luke for being mean.

stella and luke would have a lot of inside jokes. and whenever quinn and jack do join them for their tea party’s, luke and stella enjoy bossing them around. There would be a strong bond of trust, they know jay they always have each others back no matter what. So there was a lot of older siblings vs little siblings!!

Your description of Catcher in the Rye is so heartfelt and made me emotional. I love that you never come from a place of snobbery, but instead from a genuine place of disappointment at the general discourse short-shrifting thought-provoking art. I’m just as tired of everyone simplifying and over-politicising stories, but I guess it’s in itself symptomatic of the times we live in. Confusion all around making people strip the complexity off behemoth topics such as love, grief, jealousy, nihilism, human nature etc.

And I agree, it's these times we live in. I'm always reading about how nowadays college students struggle to read entire books 🥴 and I mean good, prestigious colleges (allegedly haha), and about students literacy crisis and social media and its cognitive implications... It's just so bleak! Obviously there's a lot more to it but I think, at least for the last couple of generations, it's because of that damn phone 😔 it really is!

Sua vida não poderia ser melhor, tem pais legais, um irmão não tão legal assim mas ele a gente ignora, amigas leais e divertidas e estuda em uma faculdade prestigiada. Sem falar da sua vida acadêmica, a aluna número um de qualquer classe. Você era a garotinha perfeita, a prodígio que nunca iria errar uma única vez na sua vida, certo?

Errado.

Vamos começar essa história pelo real começo de tudo, na sua adolescência. O verão tinha se iniciado, junto dele as festas na piscina e saídas para o cinema a noite também. Mas você sempre foi o tipo caseira, culpava a mãe por não te deixar sair tanto sendo que você nem gostava de sair de casa. Aos sábados você preferia ficar em casa e ler um gibi que estava enrolando desde a estação passada, seu irmão mais velho, Seunghan, até tentava te levar para sair mas recusava todas as vezes porquê sabia que iria ver a cara daquele garoto. Song Eunseok era o seu pior pesadelo naquela época, seu maior inimigo nas notas da escola, nos esportes e até mesmo nos jogos de videogame que Seunghan tinha em casa. Nem se lembra a causa da rivalidade de vocês mas você o odiava muito. Era o jeito dele que menos gostava, de como ele flertava com Deus e o mundo e como ele era relaxado com tudo, tanto que ele nem ligava para a inimizade que você criou na sua cabeça.

Aquele verão foi o estopim para essa rivalidade. Com todos aqueles "rolês" que seu irmão tentava te convencer a ir, acabou que você realmente foi em um. Uma noite no karaokê com alguns amigos dele. Foi apresentada como a irmãzinha do Hong e então a noite se seguiu. Cantou algumas músicas, tentou fazer dupla com Seunghan, que não deu muito certo, ele sempre estava errando o tom. Quando finalmente se sentou quietinha no sofá dali parou um pouco para analisar a sala minúscula. Duas pessoas estavam se pegando ali, o que te deu um pouco de nojo e desviou o olhar, mas depois de exatamente quatro segundos você percebeu quem tava praticamente engolindo a garota ali. Song Eunseok estava pegando alguém na sua frente?! Que horror! Foi o primeiro erro que cometeu em toda a sua vida, ter saído de casa aquela noite.

Depois desse dia, ou melhor noite, você jurou que não queria ver aquele garoto na sua frente. Evitava ele nos corredores da escola quando voltaram das férias de verão, ignorava ele quando ele estava na sua casa e também não queria nenhum contato com o grupo de amigos do irmão, não queria esbarrar naquela garota. Meio que virou sua missão de vida nunca mais ver o Song.

Algumas semanas depois do ocorrido você então parou um pouco para pensar, por que você estava fazendo aquilo? Por que se afastava dele? Se odiavam ou… Ah não! Foi aí que você percebeu que tinha uma quedinha pelo amigo do seu irmão. E gostar dele foi o — segundo — maior erro da sua vida.

Os anos se passaram, Eunseok se formou primeiro, mas você no conseguia parar de pensar nele. Em como o estilo desleixado dele o deixava mais atraente, como a voz dele era gostosa de ouvir e até mesmo o fato dele gostar de burrito ser adorável. Oh céus! Estava apaixonada por um cara que jurava odiar. Até pensou que os sentimentos não iriam continuar sendo os mesmos, ainda mais depois de tantos anos sem vê-lo. Não tinham mais rolês para seu irmão te arrastar e ele estar lá, não existia mais a noite de videogames na sua casa com ele sempre ganhando. Vocês cresceram e deixaram essas coisas para lá, então por que ficou tão abalada quando viu o garoto que odiava e ao mesmo tempo amava no seu trabalho? Maldito verão, maldita adolescência e seus sentimentos confusos!

– Bom, esse é Song Eunseok. Ele vai trabalhar no seu setor a partir de hoje, então espero que se dêem bem! – Seu chefe fala assim que termina a tuor pela empresa e deixa ele na sua sala. Era a responsável por apresentar o setor para ele.

– Uau, _____! Não sabia que estava trabalhando aqui. Você está… linda, como sempre. – Não sabia se agradecia ou enfiava a cara no chão. Não, aqui é um lugar profissional, sem tempo para ladainhas da adolescência! – Bom, Eunseok, é bom te ver de novo! Faz tempo… Bom, bem vindo a empresa, vem comigo, eu vou te apresentar ao pessoal.

Tempo vem, tempo vai, conversa mais um pouco com ele e se atualiza sobre a parte da vida dele que você não estava presente para ver, descobre que toda a rivalidade pelo posto de número um da escola realmente fez ele se esforçar bastante, ele parecia tão diferente, tão… maduro. Então ele te faz uma pergunta tão simples, mas a sua eu de alguns anos atrás estaria pulando de felicidade e chorando de tristeza ao mesmo tempo:

– Quer sair para tomar um café? Esses dias tá bem frio, né?!

Seria isso um… encontro?

Se você fosse, seria um erro? É uma ideia ruim sair com seu crush do ensino médio? É estranho sair com o melhor amigo do seu irmão depois de anos sem se verem?

Hello hi greetings uhhhhhh— i can’t believe you send me an ask. like, i’m in love with your art. your AM design is hot cool. your feelings must be good then because how you wrote am was sort of actually in character. the reason i say sort of is because in canon he doesn’t love anyone (obviously). especially freaks like me who wouldn’t mind taking him out on a date before he turns us into blobs. but who cares about canon? not me ;)

what i especially loved was in a situation where AM was in love with reader, but was too stubborn and prideful to admit it, he wouldn’t—couldn’t be able to physically torture them. he would look for an alternative so the other five humans wouldn’t get too suspicious. so he only inflicts mental and emotional pain onto reader.

stella would have been a rookie the same year as him, and they would have course already been close friends from the years of knowing each other

stella would be max’s teammate!! and would have a great friendship with him and lando. Now that they are both f1 drivers they definitely would spend a lot more time together, often traveling together. I feel like it would be a situation where they would keep their relationship a secret for as long as they can, not wanting to deal with the media etc.
