anon, I am very happy to make this request, I recently finished watching Hazbin Hotel. I have to say I fell in love with Charlie and Lucifer's father/daughter relationship. So I have approached it this way, Optimus and GN!reader!human know each other from one of the NEST raids at the beginning of the second movie. Let's say you were 8 or 9 years old, no Reader hadn't seen it from age of extinction to the last knight. Reader had 22 years (more or less)

Summary: You had created a proposal for an alliance of humans and cybertronians but not many agreed. You didn't have much means until you had no choice but to call your father. Based in 'More than anything' of hazbin hotel

Y/N was so close to being able to make a dream come true, peace between the two species…. It could be done, it was done once it could be done again. Those days when Y/N missed meeting with the Cybertronians but despite having saved the world. Earth and Cybertron would be side by side.

There was quite a bit of disagreement about forming an alliance again, there was a lot of chaos and destruction in Optimus' absence when he went to find the creators. Trusts had fallen but at least a few could help Y/N…. Cade, Shane, Tessa… Some former allies returned Simmons and Lennox. Diplomacy was in the doldrums… Cogman gave you some advice.

-Miss Y/N you must not give up, you are close to being able to have an audience with your leaders.

-But the proposal is no good to them… They need more proof - said Y/N preparing more photos and documents.

Cade was watching more documents while he sighed - Y/N, I think it's about time you ask for help to… him

Y/N folded its arms, it sighed, it hadn't seen its father for a while, he was busy with the reconstruction of Cybertron. He hadn't had time to talk to you, nor had you had time to talk to him. You didn't want to bother him, since you wanted to accomplish this on your own.

If Optimus Prime denied this alliance then there would be no hope and TRF or a group like Cementery Wind would be back again. -That was a good development, Miss Y/N," said Cogman as Y/N leaned her head on the table.

Y/N showed the facilities showing all the collaboration… The energon supply, food, the electrical system with energon created between Cade and Brains. The houses although of enormous size adapted to the different sizes of the autobots and humans. Which seemed curious once you got to look at it.

-We want all this to have more zones… The alliance would not only help humans, it would also help cybertronians who need to stay on Earth," Y/N said as he sat in a sitting area with Optimus and Cade.

-We have considered all possible measures with the Autobots….

-Have you considered the remaining Decepticons? Several of them are in Human Security cells, plus we can't ignore the fact that Megatron is still at large… There are Autobots who after the treatment of the humans over the years do not want to agree to this deal - Optimus said seriously.

The Battle of Chicago was the decline of the alliance leading to runaway situations of all… Of the loss of many autobots among them… Ratchet and human casualties with that of… Sam. Y/N hadn't commented much on the subject with him or Bumblebee who keeps remembering his friend with brother.

-But we can't fall into those mistakes, we can do better," Y/N said as Optimus frowned while Y/N folded his arms.

Cade was seeing that the situation was getting too complicated for them to talk to each other. Besides, it was something more serious that they needed to talk to each other, so he walked away, leaving them some space and taking Cogman with him who was watching in the distance.

-I'm sorry, Y/N, but this idea is not going to work," Optimus said, standing up and dropping his commanding tone.

Y/n saw what he was doing closing in again, creating a wall as he had done before.

-I can't abandon them… If we don't make that deal the chases will come up again," said Y/N as Optimus turned his back on him.

-I made a mistake in creating that alliance…. - Optimus said as he left.

-Meaning finding me was a mistake? - said Y/N making Optimus stop in his tracks - You remember that moment…. My family died because of a Decepticon… I had no one else. And you decided to take care of me, even though we are not of the same blood.

Optimus turned around and knelt down in front of Y/N looking her in the eyes.

-I couldn't just leave you there, you were such a pure and sensitive soul…. I tried, little one… I don't want them to destroy you like they did me. You're the only thing that makes me stay…. - Optimus said with a broken voice as Y/N touched his cheek.

-Dad… I always admired how you did things, being strong yet kind enough to both humans and autobots and even the Decepticons. You were my source of inspiration for this alliance. When you left to search for the creators I tried my best to find a way to help…. I thought I would never see you again, unless your legacy lived on among us," Y/N said as tears welled up in his eyes.

Optimus went to wipe her tears with his digit - Y/N… I… my little one - said Optimus as he lifted her up and brought her closer to her chassis - I have had a hard time, the brainwashing made me think several things among them what would happen if I fell again and hurt you… I could not forgive myself. You are the best thing that has ever happened in my long life, I can't lose that innocence of yours…. Though you have become a warrior.

Y/N I look at the optics - We'll make it work this time, you won't lose me so quickly…. You see I'm not alone. I just need your support is all I ask - Y/N said as Optimus squeezed him closer.

-I missed you in my arms and your little smile," said Optimus smiling.

Y/N saw a sincere smile, something it haven't seen in a long time in its presence -…. Thank you for adopting me that day…

-Thank you for changing my life that day," Optimus said as he held you in his arms for a while longer.

Y/N stayed closer to him despite all the difficulties they had, Optimus will continue to be a part of her life as she is in his.

While not too far from where they were….

Most bots and humans with tissues in hand watching and hearing what they were talking about thanks Cogman.

-Just beautiful, they have opened their hearts," said Cogman as Izzy grabbed a handkerchief.

-You know that if they both find out they're going to kill us, right? said Hound as Cade nodded.

-Yes, we'd better not say a word, otherwise we don't want anger from both of them," said Cade with a smile, looking at the picture and remembering his daughter.

It didn't matter if she was human or cybertronian, this was the proof of a coexistence of cybertronians and humans.

when you dislike the MC of a good series AKA Who Will Die in The Wicked Powers

damn, being petty enough to flip off the MC x canon ship in my (favorite) fandom is really kicking me in the ass--

yeah, basically I can't touch half the TSC stuff on Tumblr bc I'm so anti-Clace...(meanwhile I love literally every other character that's been in every Shadowhunter series)...& they're probably gonna have a wedding + kids in the next books (assuming Jace isn't killed)...

The Wicked Powers is most definitely gonna have the Princes of Hell as the main villains. I feel like Luke, Gwyn, or Izzy will die, since the younger Shadowhunters are supposed to be central & well...look at the couples who will be alive/extant by TWP:

Jace already died once. Clary had dreams about dying, but those were shown to be visions of Thule. Based on canon events, I think they're Clare's favorite ship. SAFE.

Magnus almost gave himself to Asmodeus in CoHF. Alec almost-ish died saving Magnus in The Eldest Curses. Also, Alec almost died thanks to that poison demon in TMI (the one Magnus saved him from). Malec might end up forced to rule some region of Hell (reason unknown but I think it'll have to do with them beating/destroying Asmodeus). I feel like past events foreshadow Magnus dealing with the unfortunate sides of being a warlock. But he won't die--the "killing your gays" trope might actually save he & Alec.

Simon nearly died when the vampires attacked him (when he was a mundane), then when Valentine bled him pre-Daylighter (then Jace's blood saved him). He "sacrificed" himself to Asmodeus CoHF, in the form of his vampire immortality + memories (which he basically got back later on). Izzy...she's been through a lot psychologically & about as much as I think most Shadowhunters would physically. She lost Max & her dad. But she's a badass (I'm not faulting her for it, either). So I don't think she's safe.

Julian & Emma both lost their parents in horrible ways. Their whole series was about the parabatai curse (which, to me, was conveniently not mentioned in chronologically earlier series...probably because it wasn't invented til TDA was written, lol). They're kinda written to be the leaders of Livvy's Watch. SAFE.

Kit has his whole faerie power reveal shit to explore & he + Ty are some of the major characters in TWP. I'm pretty sure they'll spend the series healing their relationship. SAFE.

Kieran/Cristina/Mark will survive because 1) Kieran as the Unseelie King is an important Shadowhunter ally, 2) they're poly rep in YA, which is rare, and 3) killing one of them off would leave the others to mourn in such a weird way. SAFE.

I love Dru Blackthorn. She's one of the main of TWP, so I think she'll survive, plus tbh I don't think any more Blackthorns will be killed. Ash will probably end up as the Seelie King or as Clace's adopted son, to "redeem" Sebastian in a narrative sense. Jaime's sort of a main for TWP as one of Dru's love interests. SAFE.

Diana & Gwyn aren't main characters (though I like their romance). Diana also is the ONLY transgender person in all the books (unless I missed something). I don't think she'll be killed off. Gwyn might be just because I see the Wild Hunt as an important group in TWP & he might die protecting Diana (narratively, this shows strengthened faerie-Shadowhunter relations, despite the Wild Hunt being unaffiliated with either Court).

Luke & Jocelyn deserve to be endgame, but I could see Luke being killed off as one of those "MC's loved one is killed so the MC goes & avenges them" type of things. I love Luke & Jocelyn as characters, though.

Tessa & Jem deserve to be endgame, arguably, more than any couple. They were the mains in their series, then Jem survived but was sort-of-"lost" when he became a Silent Brother. Then he miraculously became a (mortal) Shadowhunter again when he was burned by heavenly fire, he just left the Clave behind to hang with Tessa (good choice!). Tessa has a baby & she's gonna suffer enough when she outlives Jem. SAFE?

HI okay confusing canon divergence time- I'm kin with both Doll and AbsoluteSolver. In the same timeline. I consider them the same kintype but honestly that's just because I personally consider each timeline as a kintype rather than each person (as I have another 'type that's weird like this.)

As stated earlier, I was very canon divergent. I didn't die during ep 7 and I'm pretty sure I was with the rest of the group (if at all) while exploring Cabin Fever.

The major difference in my canon from media is that the Crucifix Patch on Yeva changed her copy of the Solver so that it was a different "strain" of it (kind of like how organic viruses evolve into different variations). I have no idea how it works in canon, but 'offspring' drones are basically copies of one parent with a few variables / extra lines of code from the other, which is how I have her strain of AbsoluteSolver.

So... me and Solver weren't really that separate? Like yeah it was its own program, but it did 'leak' into my code a lot. Anyways, because Solver was an exact copy of Yeva's and Yeva's was a copy of Cyn's, which was a copy of the original, I had access to a LOT of memories that weren't mine. I have Cyn's up to the point where the virus was put into Yeva, then Yeva up to my 'birth' (creation?).

Yeva's/my "strain" of the Solver was a lot more passive and didn't really have the capacity to be angry (which I guess played into the passivity). It did still destroy mirrors and took too much power (main reason why I had to keep killing people for oil) but it wouldn't try to possess me unless I was dying and it was trying to put me back together.

Anyways, I don't remember much about what I did in relation to the main cast, although I did follow through (tried to anyways) with my plan to become allies with Tessa and then worked with Uzi and N. I remember Uzi's Solver fucking hating me & my Solver lmao.

Here's a few more differences I remember (and I don't know where to fit anywhere here):

I was nonbinary and used any pronouns, primarily they/them

Solver would sometimes manifest itself as a security camera on a wire coming out of the side of my neck (and sometimes as a tail). It had a red eye.

I think Tessa wanted/tried to kill me but either I or N stopped her. I don't remember why exactly

I was unable to speak any language other than Russian because of a piece of my code called "langLock" being set to true. I may have tried to change it at some point but I don't really remember. Yes this means my Solver also spoke Russian

Serial Designation N (Split Drones)

Backstorie:

N was created as a worker drone. He worked for a rich family that lived in a manor, there N met a lot of drones, like J, V and Cyn. N developed a good relationship with everyone, even falling in love with both V and Cyn, wich got him in a lot of trouble, but he always did his job perfectly. When the reblions started, N understood why the drones were rebelling, but decided not to join, because of V and Cyn. After some time the Disassembly Drones iniciative had begun and they dicided to take N, V and J to update, Cyn disapeared at the time.

While he was being updated, Tessa messed a bit with his code, wich resulted in his programing glitching and splitting his personality. N was updated to a Strength Focused Disassembly Drone. He was always seen as a weird one between the disassembly, and his record did not help, since N was too scared and useless for the missions while "NX", as his second personality was nicknamed, was too unstable. Because of this traits he wasn't choosen to be updated for the Second Generation. He was choosen to be part of J's team with V, he accepted and reunited with them after a long time. At first he was surprised by their attitude change, but soon accustomed to it, falling in love with V again.

Personality:

As a worker, N was a kind drone, that helped everyone, but didn't take shit from anyone, wich caused him to be a bit impulsive, causing some unescessery trouble, but always trying to help. He was serious during work, never taking his atenttion off his work unless V or Cyn are arround.

As a Disassembly Drone, N had his mind split into 2. The first one, know as N, is kind, always wanting to help others, even if it cost his safety, but at the same time he's scared of everything, always excusing himself for things he didn't even do. He is also very sensitive to sudden loud noises. N is very insecure, since he believes that he was the mistake and NX is the original, so he tries to prove his worth, but fails most times.

NX is very eggressive, even acting like an animal in battles. He doesn't care about anyone other than himself and he doesn't feel anything other than happiness, when he's killing, and boredom, when he's not killing. NX always wants to be in power, so if he feels threatened, he will attack it, even if it's an ally.

Appearence:

Worker N has white messy hair and a normal worker body with white eyes. He wears a grey beanie in the head, a black suit with black pants and black shoes. He has 1,50 meters.

Serial Designation N has a beefy body, big chest and arms, his legs are still beefy, but less than his upper body. N still has white messy hair with a grey beanie, bigger than his old one, in his head and yellow eyes. He wears a white T-Shirt with a black open coat. He has a bulky tail with a yellow liquid in a tube with a stinger.

NX has only one difference from N, visualy, and that is his eyes, since NX only has an X shape for his eyes.

Absolute Zero for the Mega Drones X AU ( Yes that's what I am calling it) honestly this was a match made in Robot Hell, I mean Absolute Solver, Absolute Zero.

Backstory below the Cut. Spoilers of course for both murder drones and pretty much all mega man content containing Zero

Numerical designation-0 was JCJenson's frist attempt at military Drones, as such they built in many Weapons such as a plasma sword and even putting in a mysterious new material that they found that seems to be able to automatically repair broken systems.

Another system was placed inside Zero, a program that would reprogram his entire personality back to normal should he ever stray so he would never end up hurting innocent pepole with his weapons.

However this quickly Backfired causing him to be much more violent and crazy instead often killing not just the assigned enemy but aslo any thing else that moved including his allies . The government ordered that 0 be destroyed or they would forcible shut down the JCJenson company.

JCJenson having no choice destroyed 0 however they ended up disposing of him improperly, and due to 0's resilant programing he came back to life and slowly priced himself back together and slowly mutated the strange material from which he was created giving birth to Absolute Solver in the process. While still auto repairing from the Immense damages he spread the program to other sloppy disposed of drones like Cyn and you know what happens from there.

0 once fully rebuilt was sent by Cyn to Copper 9 to speed up the proces of spreading the Absolute Solver. Once there he was attacked by a Worker Drone built by Tessa form a discarded Military drone for the purpose of killing infected drones, Sigma. It was a tough battle but in the end 0was defeated however the highly advanced mutated form of absolute solver that came from 0 was capable of spreading to Sigma.

Meanwhile 0's discarded body was found by a Worker Drone called SDX who fixed him up and rebooted his system. Upon reboot the Absolute Solver was set to False but he had no memory of who he before.

He became quick pals with X helping him to protect the Workers from disassemble drones and was given a new name, Zero but spelled out this time!

Meanwhile Absolute solver lay in wait in order to take its original body back, it's only a matter of time before that variable is set to true and Zero's true form can be revealed, Absolute Zero.

So that's it! it was surprisingly easy to put Zero's backstory into murder drones lore, just replace the maverick virus with Absolute solver. I like thinking due to its similarities to the murder drones, Absolute Zero is his Awakened form in this AU.

Confessions of a Recovering Genre-Phobic 1/20/24

Hey Whores, I had to take my computer into the shop this week. (In turns out that it was the drivers after all), so my week has been a bit down and odd. Theres other reasons but I'm still sorting out my feels. Late January is being kidna a sad boy hour for me but it is what it is. So without further ado the music.

and yeah I can here the influence they remind me of the Buzzcocks and The moldy Peaches and punk music in general and that ultimately becomes a bad thing for me.

Its a lot like my feelings towards the original blair witch that what I can only imagine was innovative sound in the mid-70s has now become genrelized. Statis quo for the further generations of punk musicians.

Ramones features a lot of minimilist lyrics and repatition and gritty mixing and sound and it doesn't really work for me. Perhaps, (and feel free to say so), it is just my tin ears unable to distinguish the nuance but I had a hard time distinguishing songs, and the lack of clarity in both the vocals and instrumentals while absolutly giving a punk sound didn't do much to distinguish themselves from my foggy recolations of other 70s punk acts. Hopefully I can come back to this album in a copy years and fall in love but for now It left me feeling wanting.

The opening song is a straight banger that has been on my playlists for years and the rest of the songs continue the energy with a slightly more slow-down indie rock marathon. The lyrics are involved and meloncholic and overall this just speaks to me.

Kevin Abstract is a queer rapper from texas who used to be part of the Boy Band Bronkhampton.

As I am shit at describing music I'm just steal this description from an interview. "According to Kevin, he wanted “to make, like, a Sunny Day Real Estate, Nirvana, Modest Mouse type of record. But I wanted it to hit like a rap album.”

and yeah thats a really good way of describing it. The music has that kind of shoegaze etherial sound as Abstract raps about childhood trauma, queerness, and other such pleasantrys.

I'll be honest I didn't get a lot out of this album but I'll have to give it another listen one of these days.

My God (2023) - Tessa Violet

I'm sorry I wasn't expecting the girl-next door to wake up and decide to serve CUNT. Hunny. Diva, Icon, Slay.

Somewhat conceptionlized, (I'm talking out of my ass), as a rise from the ashes of more moody indie styling My God takes on a more diva styling with her Bad Bitch, My God, YES MOM, and BREAKDOWN. Which features a more Allie X style pop production and empowered lyrics. The faggot in me has no choice but to stan and the Straggot in me wants her to step on me so goddamn bad.

The rest of the songs on the album take on a more softer indie styling. 'Kitchen Song' is a standout as a near sappy romance song whilst other tracks deal with her more famalier themes of heartbreak.

I really liked this new direction and while the overall album didn't hit as hard for me as her earlier albums.

You Light Up My Life: Inspirational Songs (1997) - Leann Rimes

YLUML:IS is the second studio album by Leann Rimes and features you guessed the titular song which is the only thing I know by her.

I can say after listening to this album that I still don't know any other songs by this women.

Rimes has a beautiful voice and likes to focus on these kind of sentimental torch songs. The type of pastoral vaguly religious fair that would be big with like our mom or something.

It's nice enough but I think I agree with the original critics when they say that this doesn't seem like a strong second album. Hell this literally ends with her singing both Amazing Grace and the National Anthem. This is a album you would release at the end of your career. A bunch of classics as a way of polishing off your ourve. Not your second album which in my mind is where you really sink in and elevate your style. Odd choices. I'm noticing that I'm not a big fan of the classic albums that I've added to the list and thats dissapointed.

Music Monday (10/28/19)

We’ve got so much to cover from the last two weeks and no time to waste!

New Releases

I’m doing this rapid fire style. Ready... Set...

Allie X came back mere weeks after her last single with “Rings a Bell!” It’s got a similar eerie atmosphere to “Fresh Laundry.” The production is sharp as ever, complete with echoing percussion, a groovy bassline, and, what else? Bells!

Grace is back! I can’t possibly explain how excited this makes me. She’s got a new name, SAYGRACE, and a new track, “Boys Ain’t Shit” that signals a shift towards a sleeker, more modern-leaning sound, but her voice is still as cashmere-warm and smoky as ever. 

Matt Berninger of The National and Phoebe Bridgers came together for “Walking on a String.” Phoebe’s clear, high vocals and Matt’s lower tones compliment each other very well, and they absolutely shine together over the minimalist yet lovely instrumental. 

L Devine brought us another fun single with “Peachy Keen.” She once again blends hip-hop and pop elements. However, she spices it up this time by introducing a slick vocoder into the mix. Her vocals slither over the beat in a Grimes-reminiscent way, balancing anxiety and enjoyability in a way that compliments the lyrics really well. 

The new Conan Gray song “Maniac” is such a sugary blast of fun! The Halloween-themed music video is super cute too, and it’s got Jessica Barden from The End of The F***ing World in it. 

We got a new 1975 single with “Frail State of Mind!” I truly have no clue how on Earth this new album is going to sound. First we got Grenta Thurnberg reading a slam poem, then “People,” which was a wonderfully rambunctious dive into pop punk, and now we’ve got this, which is like the chillaxed love child of “Sincerity Is Scary” and “TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME.”

NEW KESHA MUSIC! NEW KESHA ALBUM ON THE WAY! This debut single “Raising Hell” with Big Freedia is a ton of fun, stuffed with self-assurance and confidence in Kesha’s delivery. I’m not fully into the EDM-style drop, but everything else about this slaps, from the horns to Big Freedia’s ad-libs to the lyrics. 

Yes, I’m still obsessing over Pang by Caroline Polachek, both the album and the song Pang. To quote Queen Polachek’s Twitter: “Panging is a verb; a secret twisting between your lungs that resists all logic. If you know, you know.” Well, that. That’s all you need to know. 

You Burned Me by Donna Missal is here, and holy moly are her vocals spectacular on this track. They have this sense of restraint, like she’s ever-so-slightly holding something back, and it works really well. The instrumental is great too, with soothing chimes, guitars, and light horns. I never expected anything less from my queen. 

Zella Day is back! This truly has been a blessed week for music! Her new song “You Sexy Thing,” (a cover of the 1975 release from Hot Chocolate,) is quite a change in sound for her, veering towards a sensual vintage feel. The melodies on this are great, it sounds like a modern take on a forgotten ballad from the 1940s. 

God there’s so much more. Here are all the albums that dropped this week that y’all should check out. I don’t want to make this post too long by going into each of them in depth: Cheap Queen by King Princess, Cry by Cigarettes After Sex, Bad Ideas by Tessa Violet, Dream Girl by Anna of the North, Pony by Rex Orange County, Deadbeats EP by Willa, and new skin by VÉRITÉ. 

Other Favorites

Numb by Baker Grace: I found this song while making my peachy keen playlist, and it stuck out to me immediately. Sometimes you just need a big, flashy, silly pop song to bust a move to, and this song fills that slot perfectly. I don’t even know if Baker Grace is all that distinctive as a vocalist, (she fills a similar niche to the likes of Maggie Lindemann, Sasha Sloan, and Bea Miller,) but boy did she snag a good hook for this. I haven’t been able to stop replaying this song all week.
