a sentimental rant about my time on dn tumblr bc its been well over a decade since ive been on this site and when i used to shitpost on here about it daily
there is smth very strange about being a part of peak death note tumblr back in the 2010s. like so many inside jokes that idk how many of you out there remember still (ex. lightbun) and not knowing if i might be a part of someone’s fond memories of those times back then too like some of you were for me. its very interesting and cool!! the fact that stupid edits of mine have made it onto heritage blogs now and i still get notifs on things i did a decade ago is hilarious
i still love death note and the fact that i got to meet the english voice actors in 22’ was a fever dream and even just over the weekend i still bought a l/light keychain from a convention. some fandoms just stick with you forever! i miss a few friends made back then, but i just hope theyre doing well now 🫶
im 27 now but i got involved in the fandom here when i was just 15. i made so many friends on here and had fun skype calls/livestreams/etc and it really did give me fond memories to look back on as a full grown adult. i moved out back in 21’, im getting married this year, and im into bg3 very much at the moment, but seeing dn fans still active warms a place in my heart and i dont think it will ever go away. im more active on twitter now and its so funny seeing all these new dn fan groups/circles on there and posting similar stuff i did 10+ yrs ago; some things never change and its a lot of fun to see scrolling by as an outsider.
point is death note really means a ton to me and its so awesome i still have this blog. also did you know yagami spelled backwards is -
PS: the fucking iconic youtube poop my title is from on my blog and has been that way for YEARS has now been privated on youtube im actually going to gnaw my fingers off?????

(I know that some people on Tumblr aren't autistic nor neruodivergent, so I'll explain why I added to the blog post. This simply reminded me of an experience I had in high school with the same themes, it not me trying to play the "Main Character")
Context: I had an IEP within the high-school, but I also went to "normal classes" (I wasn't in the Sepical ED). So I hung out in Sepical ED office quite a bit, or teacher's would give me a past for me to take lap around the school building. If I needed to regulate myself.
Every now, the Marine or Navy Recruiter would join me on my walk. Cause I reminded them of themselves, and Im a miltarybrat. Also had the cop on school grounds sometimes gave me shit about not being in class. 100% wouldn't put it past them for bias, cause I always wore my battle jacket. Which said on some of the patches, ' Bombing for peace, is like fucking for virginity', 'protect trans youth', & an anti-88 (Meaning anti-nazi or anit Hilter propaganda). Some other patches were quotes from the protests of the Vetinam war and the fall of the berlin wall(it was important moment in my german family heritage as some of them were there breaking the wall down), so that also got the Recuiters attention, cause to them, it was like looking at colorized photo from the past. Seeing this openly Queer and trans punk(subcultre) with those patches.
Well, while I was taking German 2, I would normally wear earphones, it's an accommodations in my IEP, cause being autistic, I have a higher sensitivity to sounds, being able to hear every conversation in the quiet room as if it was right next to me. As well could hear conversations in the classrooms above and below ours.
Unluckily, we had a test in German 2, so I couldn't wear them (problems with people cheating that affected students with IEPs). I overheard, heard two of my classmates, making Nazi "jokes", not ones you'd hear in a COD lobby, but ones if you overheard would make any school counselor be concerned.
They were laughing and impersonating Hilter's qoutes, and as well as talking about how easy it would be to gas a room or bathroom with the Jewish students. Even, trashing some students by name for being jewish.
To tell you my blood was boiling was an understatement. The range was so comusing that it felt some was not my own. It was primal even, with ringing in my ears.
When bell rung, I followed those two students out of the building, as everyone was going to the main building for classes.
And grapped the one that made most of the planning, (the other guy made short responses, as if he wasn't sure the other was joking or not), and slammed his head into the nearest car in the parking lot.
I checked out mentally, I checked back in only when the Marine recruiter was pulling me back in a half back hug, half body lock. Yelling, 'He's not worth it, calm down kid'. And the kid was half conscious with his head and part of the car bloody, with a small dent in the car's frame. And a cop with a broken nose checking on the kid on the ground.
Some more context I got later on was from the Marine recruiter and the German 2 teacher. The German 2 teacher heard me screaming at the kid in German (using my family's German accent), can't remember all that what I said, but summarizing was: 'You people are the reason we had to hide our friends in our homes'. And when the cop came up trying to break up the fright, I said 'and you let it happen cause you only follow orders without morals' after breaking the cops nose with a punch.
The Marine Recruiter filled me in on the details, only after my visit with the principal, where he was present, (kinda like my lawyer). Explaining what had all happened. While pointing if the kid was being serious, I pretty much just stopped the kid from endangering the school, and if the kid was saying those plans as a joke, then that fight possibly made him learn a lesson that a year in ISS wouldn't of. As it was a harder truth of the ideology the kid was interacting with.
The kid definitely had to move schools after that, cause even with how big (+3,000 students) the school was. Almost everyone knew what happened.
The Marine had a couple of chats with me every now and then about controlling my anger. Not in a way that signed what I did was wrong, but more of helped me to keep it contained and identify how much I need to let out in every situation. To keep a level head, even when experiencing huge emotions. As well as suggested ways to let that anger out in healthy ways. Such as boxing or working out. Basically, 'When you let anger control you, you'll miss the message you or the other person had to give. When that happens, you've already lost cause you can not protect the ones you were protecting'.
Cut to 2023, while I was smoking outside my work after a night shift, a women approached me, I stayed sitting down on the curve as to allow her to keep the power over the situation. Cause' it's almost 1 in the morning, and not even the traffic is awake. If she's approaching a man that's sittings down on the crub at the back of a restaurant that's closed, she's already anxious enough.
She asked if I was [name I use to go by in highschool] and said yes, politely updating her on my new name. She told me she was the mom of the kid, I beat the shit out of. I honestly didn't know if this was gonna be a talk or I was about to be shot after my 14hr shift. But, I let her continue cause it seemed like she had a lot to get off her shoulders.
She asked me if she could bump a cig of me, and I agreed lighting it for her. She said for awhile she was angry that her baby boy got so hurt from what I did. I replied with, 'Any good Mother would, it's only natural'. She continued with, 'Thank you, but after awhile, I realized that I wasn't after that.' She explained, her son had been obsessed with WW2 snice he was little, thinking it was just 'boys being boys'. She didn't realize it had gotten that bad, and when the school called explaining what happened. She was angry, but while taking care of her son, she understood that her anger wasn't only towards me, but to herself. Sitting down on the milk crate near me, she said, she wanted to talk me for opening her eyes about her son. But, she couldn't find a way to contact me. I didn't see a point getting defensive on how she did find where I work, I was quite present in the town. Picking up trash where I could during walks, and staying to chat to employees when it was slow while getting my order made, as well as conversing with people on the busses. And "adopting" the highschoolers at my local coffee shop and workplace. So commented on the frist half, 'with people we love, we often put rose tinted glasses over our eyes. That fliter out their flaws and bad behavior'.
She talked more about how well her son was doing now, and how proud she was over him with his self growth. Until she finished her cig, and left in her car.

hello hi , it is g , ur friendly local neighbourhood hindu indian ( as in south asian  ) ! so a few people requested that i just make a guide-esque sorta thing on hindu  indian characters ! im not really good at guides , so instead , these are just little things i’ve noticed or picked up on that could really potentially strengthen the next indian character u ( pretty please ! ) pick up !
disclaimer : i am writing this from my perspective and it is NOT definitive , nor do i speak on behalf of all hindu indians  ! i am a 23-year-old bisexual cis female hindu indian , with one older gay brother, and a Train Wreck middle brother . my mother is from new delhi , and my father is from nairobi but has indian heritage ( not sure which part of india bc he’s an Engima ) . i have extended family in india and have visited india about 10-15 times throughout my entire life .
so firstly , im so glad u all are here and want to write more hindu indian characters ! please please do so !  i hope this helps , encourages u , and isnt too confusing !!
psa : i need everyone to know that this is a very basic ‘ guide ‘ and theres a lot it DOESNT touch on or address bc i didnt want to get too Extensive and Detailed and have people Turn off and not Read it . this is just written in the terms of hopefully helping build  character / be relevant to characters a bit better that ive employed into writing my OWN hindu indian character creations !  but if u have any other questions pls reach out to me or any other indians in the rpc and im sure we’ll try our best to assist u !
FCS:
one thing i’d really like to say is that its great to see fcs like dev patel  , deepika padukone and avan jogia picked up every now and then in rps , but there’s actually a LOT of other indian fcs you could be and should be using ! the main reason people don’t seem to know them is because they’re not ‘ hollywood ‘ stars per se ( it was a super big deal when pr*yanka broke out of bollywood and into bollywood but we don’t talk about her on this Blog ) . they’re usually bollywood stars and i don’t really see bollywood discussed that much in the rpc !
if you’re after MORE indian fcs , i have a tag of indian females here , and indian males here . the fcs on my blogs are also not ALL that exist . there are plenty of other blogs out there that post indian fcs , such as sonamhelps &  bollymusings !!! there’s also some really great faceclaim directories out there that include a LOT of indians with resources !
unfortunately , i do not know of any trans indians or nonbinary indians but that doesn’t mean they don’t exist . indian cultures and beliefs are still quite Old School and not super progressive . india only just had it’s first wlw mainstream bollywood film released last year . lgbtqia+ issues are NOT really spoken about in india or within indian families at ALL , and if they are - they’re usually dismissed or reacted to Very Very Badly . ( again this isnt definitive and im sure and hopeful that some indians have had GREAT coming out stories and been accepted by their families but this has not been a common thing ive seen or witnessed from my cousins my age , indian friends , myself and my brother who are lgbtqia +  )
FOOD :
we do eat with our hands and we eat like PROS with our hands . we can shovel it so easily and quickly . i don’t know how to describe it but you use the first three fingers of your hand to place the Food there , and then use your thumb to kinda scoop it off and into your mouth . this is NOT unhygienic because indians wash their hands very regularly and most of the time we aren’t actually touching our mouths to our hands !
indian food is MADE to be eaten with your hands for the most part . it is literally NOT practical to eat food with a knife and fork . here’s a really great article explaining things more in depth re: indian food and using our hands !
cows are seen as Very holy beings in hindu indian culture , and for that reason - there isn’t a lot of beef being eaten or consumed. sure , some indians DO eat beef but i don’t think its super common, but in my personal experience as a non-beef-eater this results in A LOT of me asking ‘ oh ,  sorry what sauce does that pasta come with ? ‘ ‘ oh those are beef sausages ? sorry i can’t eat them ‘ etc etc . beef is in a LOT of things , and this makes me very very careful and almost pedantic about what i do eat and ask about , food wise  !
indian food is seen as stinky by a majority of white people . it has a very very strong smell as im sure u know , and opening ur lunch box as a little kid to a Curry or Dal ur mum has made u ? one way street to being bullied . i also remember a time a real estate agent continuously told my dad nobody was interested in buying our house bc it smelled too much like curry,  despite my mum not having cooked curry in Weeks ( just say what u Really mean ,  bitch ! )
indian curry exists but so does dal / daal . this is curry-like dish that is usually made out of lentils . so if ur going to talk about indian food and u know curries and samosas . . pls also bring up dals . and sabji ! ( sabji is usually just boiled vegetables plopped together . a lot of potato usually )
desserts are what we call Indian Sweets  . this is stuff that is usually very VERY sugary and a bit of an accustomed taste . theyre very colourful and LOOK beautiful but even i , for one , can not eat many indian sweets bc they are a Lot of Sweet and Sugar    . examples of indian sweets that u can google  : gulab jamun , burfi , rasgulla , jalebi etc . here’s a great link for more !
give me spiced food or give me death . literally . . put some cumin in . . put some garam masala . . put some chillies . . flavour ur Food for my Indian Taste Buds
FAMILY :
if you are the oldest son of an Indian Family . . congratulations . you are now the Head of the family and must carry every weight and burden alone . it is extremely isolating and taxing on you ( my dad is the oldest indian son , and also - so is my eldest brother , obvs ) . there is a LOT that is expected of you to do . you are expected to quite literally run the family and be the ‘ man of the house ‘ by yourself .
if you are a daughter . . . even BIGGER congratulations ! you are basically a maid to every male or guest who EVER comes over to your house . you must be a Hostess , you must be in the kitchen cooking , serving snacks, bringing tea , and then washing up and basically waiting on Hand and Foot . you will not be included into a lot of dialogue or engaged in a lot of conversation and TRUST ME ! THAT WILL GRIND UR GOD DAMN GEARS IN THE 21ST CENTURY !
if you are a boys’ boy ( aka straight and Sporty ) , then congrats ! you get it the easiest : you are the favourite of every social event . the uncles and cousins love talking to you and dude-ing it up with you , and the aunts fawn over you and think you’re the Best Thing since sliced bread . sit back , put your feet up , and expect to be treated like a God. you can do absolutely no wrong . ( my middle brother is this to a T and listen . . he’s been in and out of jail for physical violence and ab*se for over 5 years . and family still FROTH over him . my teeth are gritted to dust thinking of this again )
indian aunties are lethal . they gossip like teenage girls . they will find out everything . they will bitch behind your back . they can NOT be trusted .
everyone is ur uncle or aunt, sister or brother . literally everyone . ur cousin ? no. thats ur sister . ur dads friend ? no , thats ur uncle . you will call them as such . EVERYONE is family .
family is in general a VERY BIG THING in indian culture , too . ‘ what will it Look like to everyone else if we don’t all arrive together ? ‘ my dad usually asks dskjdfjn . it’s all about Looking Right and Standing As A United Front  . that being said , indian family has undying and unwavering loyalty for one another , they just show it in a very Weird way .
FASHION:
female hindu indian formal  clothes are usually really embroidered to hell and back and this makes them very scratchy , uncomfortable, and HEAVY . you aren’t running anywhere anytime soon in a full blown lehenga or saree
most ‘ modern ‘ hindu indian women do not wear full Indian Clothes all the time . some do , but usually it’s a lot of wearing a kurti tunic with jeans , or just normal everyday clothing . again , this is going to be different based on which parts of india your character is from , though !
usually , older women and married women  wear traditiona hindul indian clothing quite often . i know my mum wore a sari AT HOME everyday when i was growing up, until i was like 13 and took her shopping with me to get something Else to wear .
bindi’s just stick right onto ur forehead but they do fall off a lot , especially when ur wearing makeup or sweating . again , you don’t need to wear a bindi everyday , unless thats ur preference . i usually only wear them for festivals . ( festivals means indian celebrations , not like . . coachella  ((which u should not be wearing a bindi to , if ur not indian fyi )) )
male formal clothes are usually just literally anything Formal and buttoned up for the most part , and u can get away with that , or you can wear a really nice kurta
indians wear white at funerals , not black  ( not sure if this should go in the fashion section but this entire thing is being organised into a Mess by now anyways ) . you CAN wear black to a funeral of course , but its common to wear white !
DATING ( tw’s for islamaphobia ):
modern day indian / desi fuck boys exist and my god they are Something Else . hasan minhaj did a really good piece about this and explaining them to a T ( starts at 1:43 )
( THIS IS THE POINT THAT WILL MENTION ISLAMAPHOBIA AND HOMOPHOBIA ! ) basically according to Older  indians , ,  ur dating options  in 2020 go like this ( if ur a cis female like me ) : hindu indian men are god tier , white men are Not Okay But I Guess So Bc We Have To Accept They’re Everywhere , females / being lgbtqia+ is not Taken Seriously , and muslims are literally not even close to being an option or Accepted  . again this isn’t definitive but based on a lot of  indian media i’ve consumed and seen how they portray muslims in general as well as Dating Options , as well as talking to other indians  , both who are older / traditional and hold these ideals , whereas Younger gens generally do NOT hold these ideals  / actively are Against these backwards ideals.   i remember when i was in year 6 and had my first boyfriend . . he was a muslim and my dad FLIPPED the FUCK out  . it’s not even that i was dating someone / young / his only daughter . . it was mainly because i was dating a muslim . again , this is a very OLD SCHOOL and traditional way of thinking and it is NOT CORRECT .  pls don’t take this as a note to be islamaphobic if u write an indian character bc . . thats literally the opposite of what im trying to tell u here .
yeah arranged marriages are definitely still a thing for us , even now in 2020
YES if u are an unmarried / single indian ( ESPECIALLY if ur a woman ) about to enter ur 30s . . ur in DANGER and u are the black sheep and theres probably something Wrong With You bc why are u still single ?
TRADITIONS / BELIEFS / SUPERSTITIONS :
idk if its just me and my family but we are SUPER superstitious . if you say anything like ‘ he hasnt gotten sick in years !’ immediately , everyone knocks on wood or their head . if you were planning on leaving the house and sneeze ? thats bad luck , stand and wait for five minutes then u can leave . we have a strong belief in drishti , or  alternatively : The Evil Eye  , and making sure we don’t invite it into our lives . a lot of our prayers are about warding drishti away .
the evil eye is kinda Complicated but basically its an ill-wishing upon an unsuspecting person . if somebody is jealous of you or angered by you , they may wish upon you or cast upon you the Evil eye ( or even just glare at u whilst ur not looking and thats Big Bad ) .
a lot of older indians , like older people in general i guess , are not super progressive or Open . this isnt ALWAYS the case but older indians can be very very stubborn in their beliefs in what is Right and Wrong , Normal and Not Normal
theres a LOT of hindu indian festivals and events ! tbh too many for me to even keep up with . but without fail at least once a year ill say to ONE of my friends ‘ oh sorry i cant make it . i have an indian Thing on that day ‘ and its usually about a festival , so pls be aware that there are a LOT of indian festivals and if ur writing an indian character , its perfectly understandable and Relatable for them to say they can’t make it to a party or hang out with their friends that night , for that very reason !
the main / most popular ( ? ) festivities  that i personally do celebrate every year without fail are :
diwali ( the festival of lights , celebrating goddess lakshmi roaming the earth . in my household this is usually turning on literally every single light and lighting candles and fireworks / sparklers and saying some prayers , and eating a formal dinner all together !  )
holi ( the festival of colours . celebrating victory and love . again personally for me , this was usually celebrated at the temple with all of us Kids running around throwing paint on each other ! )
rakhi / raksha bandhan ( a day of sisters celebrating their brothers . you tie a rakhi which is usually a bracelet / holy string around your brothers wrist , feed them some food , pray for their wellbeing and in return they gift you something . in my case, i usually get money from them ) .
navratri  / durga puja ( 9 nights and 10 days of celebrations but tbh u don’t have to do all the days . or i mean . . i don’t . i fast one day from morning to night and then i slide on over to boogie and dance dandiya which is literally the MOST FUN dance ever bc its based off some Historical Fight and u go faster and faster and keep going until ur absolutely SPENT bc u dont wanna lose ur place in the circle )
there are SO MANY HINDU INDIAN GODS too . and so many prayers to all of them and to just general Life Wellness . chances are that ur character will know at least ONE aarti / gazal / prayer off by heart and have sung it at least 30 times in a monotone voice . the ones i know off by heart bc ive had to sing them 3000 times ? om jai jagdish hare , & the gayatri mantra
GENERAL LIL THINGS I DIDN’T KNOW HOW TO CATEGORISE ( tw’s for skin whitening , colorism and classism ) :
( THIS IS THE POINT THAT NEEDS A TW FOR SKIN WHITENING AND COLORISM  ) lets hold indians accountable right now : we advertise SKIN LIGHTENING CREAM  . i think they finally stopped that earlier this year / due to BLM ( i’m not entirely sure / could be wrong ) , but thats literally how bad it is , that we would openly advertise and encourage people to literally bleach their skin rather than look darker .
( THIS IS THE POINT THAT NEEDS A TW FOR COLORISM AND CLASSISM ) colorism is a BIG thing in india and usually linked to class . generally speaking , the people who are Darker Skinned are usually people who work outside / labourers or homeless even , and are therefore seen as lower class / bottom class . the lighter skin you have , the more privileged and advantaged you are bc ur seen as working a Good job out of the sun and having a home . it’s incredibly classist as well as just generally Fucked Up . why am i telling u this ? mainly so u understand the importance of using a dark skinned indian fc vs a light skinned indian fc which i know is hard , bc a lot of darker skinned indians arent in hollywood / have resources , but its still something to Think About .
i have a long Ethnic name . literally my first name is 10+ letters , which i know doesnt seem that long Necessarily but its also a Super Ethnic name with e’s and and j and n . it Flows and Sounds very clearly different from a christian name . it is VERY important to me that my name be said Correctly because i’ve spent so much time having it said incorrectly or Westernised . i also know a lot of indians my age who ( like me ) have had to dramatically shorten their REAL first name ( which is usually also pretty long . not always , but it is Common ) , to fit their name into white people’s mouths better . please put some thought into ur indian characters name !
not all indians speak hindi ! hindi is one of MANY dialects within india . there is also tamil , urdu  , bengali , punjabi , telugu and SO many more , so pls research which part of india ur character / their family  is from bc hindi won’t always be the default language for them !
not every indian is hindu ! of course ur character doesnt have to be religious at all , bc if im being honest IM barely religious but my FAMILY is and this is smth u should think abt bc religion is a pretty big thing for indians . so even if ur character isnt hindu , they were probably raised with SOME religious beliefs . have a think about which religions they would have been brought up with ! there’s a very large percentage of practicing muslims , sikhs and buddhists too ! and even christianity !
WRITING WISE / CREATING AN INDIAN CHARACTER WISE :
the first step should be to consume indian media ! listen to indian music . watch bollywood movies ! theres SO MANY  out there on everyone’s netflix . if u want some recs , let me know and i can try my best to find smth for u ! if u want smth thats Hollywood-indian . . . Hasan Minhaj is great to watch , especially his episodes on indian culture / politics , and Never Have I Ever on netflix was rlly good / relatable for me personally as an indian growing up in a western society !
i would really really love to see more indian rep in general , but i’d also like to discuss the Stereotypes that ive seen indians portrayed as in mainstream hollywood media :
indian women as soft spoken and subservient beings who are abused by their husbands and have no say in anything
heterosexuality within indian relationships and indian dating
indian men as sleazy
indians in general not being seen as Sexy or Sexual beings with any sex drive at all
Stumbling , Stuttering , Nerdy awkward messes of men who don’t know how to interact with anybody they find sexually appealing
an indian character that everybody ( usually white ) finds Uncomfortable and Weird and is seen as usually the Butt of the joke .
i think those mentioned above could be helpful in how to plan your next indian character and think about how to SUBVERT a trope theyre often portrayed as , or create an indian thats not stereotypical !
so what and who SHOULD you write ?
an indian character who is proudly and openly gay , or bi
a trans or nonbinary indian ( PLEASE ! )
an indian character with really super accepting parents and family
an aromantic indian
an indian who is focused on their career first and not their dating life
a fuckboy / fuckgirl ( honestly . . i’d love to see it )
a indian character who is a party animal
an outspoken indian female who takes no shit and is strong in every sense of the word
a confident , smooth talking indian businessman who is Sexy and Lusted After ( not in a gross christian grey way but just . i’d love to see indian characters seen as Sexy . not in a fetishy way , either , but just because it’d be a nice change in pace ! )
a character who IS traditional / religious but also very progressive and forward thinking in their beliefs
honestly just any character that isnt whats mentioned above

hi!!! I’m a puertorriqueño/nicaragüense enby looking into resources for learning bruja stuff, any good place you know to start?
I’ve gotten a couple of asks about this lately, and i’m so happy to know there are more latinos finding their way to the practice, tumblr’s brujeria tag often gives the impression that theres so little of us out there reclaiming our practices but getting asks like these brings me a lot of faith that thats not true :) first and foremost:
GETTING INTO BRUJERIA IS HARD.
it really is. baby brujos like us know that better than anyone- getting started, is often the hardest part of doing anything, and its no different with brujeria. it can feel so overwhelming and feeling lost is natural. from my experience, although i am still a newbie ive been able to find a lot of information out there, here are the best places to find info, sorted by priority:
FAMILY! a little self explanatory, but brujeria at its best is truly is an inherited, familial practice. If you can, before delving into internet resources, definitely connect w your family if you’re able to and ask them for guidance and about their experiences!
Your family is always the best resource over anything you can find online; theres so much misinformation out there or information not relevant to your region and if someone in your family already has established practices, always trust them first
Do some thinking back to all your cultural traditions, quirks, stories, and superstitions that you’ve  learned from your family across time and never thought too much about- and rediscover them under a new light
KEEP IN MIND: brujeria is NOT a singular , concrete practice w concrete rules in itself, the term blankets a lot of traditions across latam, the caribbean, mexico, but imo its always best to stick with brujeria related to your heritage and where your connection is.
this can be hard for people (like me!) with huge family taboos toward brujeria that make it unsafe to ask around about, and/or limitations in family connections (also like me unfortunately). I personally can really only get the tidbits and stories that my family accidentally slips out when I occasionally see them. i try to write them down as much as possible, but the info i can get is limited... and thats where the following comes in.
ONLINE COMMUNITIES. i.e, youtube, tumblr, instagram brujx communities. notice I haven’t said “internet” in general- the reason why i trust community based social media more than random individual websites you find on google is because, in the case of brujeria and honestly any non-european craft, you’re often gonna find a LOT of white people writing blogs, books, etc about their “spiritual experiences” in latam countries and wrongly/incorrectly taking ATR or indigenous traditions (like with smudging). I know, with social media, although those same white people are also on insta and tumblr, it’s a LOT easier to see the face behind the accounts and differentiate who to trust, who’s legit and has real experience to share, rather than a nameless, faceless, website that is actually some colonizer sharing colonized ideas who thinks theyre on a spiritual journey taking traditions all willy nilly. And the fact that in social media, its much easier to find a lot of good brujas at once bc they tend to follow each other lmao.what ive personally done to find information tho is essentially SCOUR tumblrs, insta accs, and watching tons of youtube videos for posts, accounts, videos, etc, and narrowing down good info from there through , namely:
CHECKING WHO YOUR SOURCE IS!!!
ASKING YOURSELF FROM WHAT EXPERIENCE THEYRE SPEAKING FROM
ALWAYS TAKING EVERYTHING WITH A GRAIN OF SALT
AND STICKING TO INFO FROM CULTURES OPEN AND RELEVANT TO ME.
again, brujería is different depending on where your family is from in latam, and if you have an established connection to indigenous and/or black roots, so it’s useful to use keywords relating to that when searching (like if ur black, you can look into ATRs(african traditional religions) which tend to mix deeply with brujeria, if ur indigenous, finding other people from your tribe is great, and if youre not pursuing your already learned traditions you can think about connecting to them more deeply(altho indigenous traditions are their own thing, sometimes they do mix with brujeria too), and apart from familial roots, if ur catholic/christian and/or want to explore it, saint work/catholic brujeria might be a good fit for you!)
tumblr: there are a couple of fantastic brujxs on this site with great blogs and resources who have sadly left the site, but i still go through their posts heavily for spells, rituals, scraps of info! etting started w brujería is hard bc there’s really not that much info out there right now, but i compile as many good brujeria posts i find on my acc.
@brujeria-n-bongs great for catholic brujeria, now at @Upliftherbs on instagram
@brujeria-lost @barberwitch @reina-morada @highbrujita
@naomi121406 is by far the most active and informative tumblr resource ive found, shes an afro-indigenous diaguita curandera from argentina so shes also really helpful if ATRs are in your path!
Im not black myself and dont follow ATRs so i don’t really know many good blogs for afrolatine brujxs out there but if anyone would like to tag some in the replies thatd be awesome!
instagram: Ive found that instagram #brujeria tags has a pretty healthy active stream of posts. You’re gonna have to sift through a lot of them to get to the good stuff though- imo a lot of hispanics use the brujería tag not to mean “latine brujería” but just the spanish word for witchcraft, so a lot of white hispanics will put wicca/neo witchcraft in the tag. imo that’s really not something i’m personally interested in bc it’s not true to brujeria’s traditional nature, is very white/eruropean , and that wicca shit basically just got here. its a relatively a recent thing😭 so i try to stick to bruja accounts that aren’t influenced by that.
youtube: The youtube brujería tag is hit or miss? and again, contains a lot of wicca. But there are some good practitioners on there like The Mexican Witch! You just gonna look around, and dont be afraid to click on videos by really really small youtubers; they often are the ones with the most informative and legit things to say!
Everyone’s path as a bruja/o/x (sjdf trying to be inclusive w gendered language is difficult) is different but here are some topics i think are great to look into as a beginner!
ancestors: start at the bottom and figure out who they are, where theyre from, and set up an altar. it’ll help you a lot with figuring out your identity and path as a bruja later on.
setting up a grimoire
divination: tarot is actually what got me into brujeria at first! tarot isnt strictly traditional and is european in itself but its a wonderful tool for connecting to dieties, saints, etc as well as super fun and helps a lot with introspection
ritual abrecaminos, aka road opening spells!
amarres (love spells... proceed with caution)
limpias, mal de ojo
saint work: even if you’re not catholic (im ex catholic), a growing number of us (especially lgbt latines like @/upliftherbs on instagram) are starting to take back and decolonize our view of saints like La Virgen Maria and removing her from the rigid european/colonized interpretation thats been forced into us
candle spells in general (i fucking love candles tbh, cheap, easy, fun, and WORKS)
spiritual colognes, how to cleanse
finally, here are some helpful posts yall should definitely read and think about moving forward!
about using tumblr as a resource
about looking into brujeria as a part-white part latine
bruja psa + about reclaiming lost indiginety
honestly naomi’s entire brujeria tag is great and super informative for beginners and basically holds answers for almost anything at this point
hope this post helps yall out!
Tumblr media
EDIT: oh lord now that this is posted the outline format i tried to use is all kinds of fucked up please dont mind the odd numbering lmfao tumbr hates organized formats

Vienna and cultural trauma
WOW so cool to sign into tumblr and see 99+ notifications, and think “oh a post got some attention,” but it’s actually just general attention!
My astro blog is ready for some action! Or maybe ppl are just bored bc of the quarantine. Either way, it would be cool to write.
I want to write about VIENNA.
I just took a course about somatic healing of trauma and it gave me a good overview of how trauma recovery works. Chapter 1 of trauma recovery is gathering resources. Chapter 2 is dipping or oscillating back into the memory, whether it’s a clear memory or just something held hidden in your body, with your new resources, and allowing circles to complete. Chapter 3 is being bigger bigger brighter in the world !!! (It’s a nice course, it’s on somatopia.com, it costs $40 if you have that to throw around, it’s like 2 hours of videos of a nice man talking in a soothing voice in intelligent language about healing from trauma)
Now I’m thinking about cultural trauma and Vienna. I have long felt that helping to heal the Hitler wound of Vienna is one of my soul’s major dharmic thrusts. So I googled “healing cultural trauma” and most resources out there talk about the trauma of the victim culture. That kind of trauma is totally different, because it recommends amplifying the traditions and greatnesses of the culture, and when you’re a cultural perpetrator of violence, amplifying the greatness of your culture is a trigger because cultural superiority is what lead your culture to be violent. But there are still a lot of resources with a lot of valuable information. I’ve only skimmed a couple things so far and it seems like one thing people emphasize in cultural healing is human connectedness.
The internet is a little hard to navigate on this topic, but I found an NYT editorial called “I loved my grandmother but she was a Nazi.” The author’s sweet grandma was literally a Nazi but she was a nice person who didn’t hate Jews. When the author talked to her about it, she would deflect. “He said a lot of things, I didn’t listen to them all” and “I was caught up in my own life” etc. The author says, that’s bullshit, there’s something she’s avoiding, and I can’t understand what it is or why she’s doing it, and I’m hesitant to say this because it might seem like I’m trying to forgive Naziism but I’m really just trying to understand who I look at when I look at my grandmother. It’s the most direct address of the West’s Nazi wound that I’ve found in my two and a half minutes of searching on google and I think it’s on the nose.
In the readmore are my more concrete thoughts on potential resources for Western/German/Viennese healing, and thoughts about what working through phase 2 would look like for a perpetrator culture.
Resources
On this reddit post:
https://www.reddit.com/r/history/comments/5nfqwp/my_grandmother_grew_up_in_nazi_germany/
there are some resources. First of all, 1. there are people from diverse backgrounds respective to WWII, coming together and talking as equals in the same kind of “room.” The descendants of the persecuted and the persecutors are together and they are not enemies. The knowledge, and SOMATIC FEELING EXPERIENCE, of that, can be  a resource. I am typing over this brusquely and that’s Mercury magic for you and you should know that I just burst into sobs. That in just a couple of generations, the grandsons and daughters of enemies can be together and not hate each other and even love each other is an immense resource and can be leaned into at any point. There is a vast well of cultural relief available here. My tears are thankful, grateful tears, tears of relief. I am thinking of the parks in vienna that are holocaust memorial parks. I am thinking of that horrible statue out in front of the Albertina that is a memorial to cultural violence but at the same time, also represents the trapped soul of the Perpetrator culture, since we are all One. In the same way that a piece of music which opens with a terrifying chord represents both the terror experienced by the terrorized, and the menace of the terrorizer, AND THE FEELINGS IN THE terrorizer that caused them to generate this chord... off on a tangent, and I’m not sobbing anymore! That was crazy. I have a tendency to lock my feelings up, but being alone in this house and in this quarantine, I can open up locked wells of feeling like that.
That resource is IMMENSE, and it’s RIGHT in front of our faces all the time. I took a class on 20th century germany in undergrad, and the professor was a young guy with a Nazi grandfather, well I’m not sure if he was a Nazi but he was a German soldier, and he remarked on it. And I think at the time I thought “how lovely” but if you sit with that feeling, it’s deep as hell. And if you sit with it from the perspective of a penitent perpetrator, it’s REALLY FUCKING DEEP.
So that’s available. Im gonna post this real quick as a way of saving the draft but I have more ideas.
Okay. Continuing,
Resource 2 also from reddit post
The top respondent says his German POW uncle had a British GF. That’s similar to the first resource, but more immediate. I’m sure there are lots of stories like that. Intercultural experience that nullifies certain tensions
Resource 3 also from reddit post
The stories of people who did do the right thing... maybe. I dont know. I’ll get off this post soon but it’s interesting. Idk if this counts as a resource, it’s kind of a tangent, but the more I learn about karma and trans-life inheritance of it, the more it seems true that it really is better to die living in line with your beliefs than to live safely. Like the person in Pweuy’s post. That father died but his karma was pristine as far as this was concerned and perpetrator trauma did not cling to him.
ok jesus this is an interesting post... the girl skipping over the river of blood as it trickled out of the asylum... the hitler youth boy befriending a lamb and the nazis slaughtering it in front of him... the russian soldier who guarded the german girl because she reminded him of her daughter...
Okay. Before I go on, I want to clarify that I am not specifically talking about people who held Nazi beliefs in their core. There is a special type of perpetrator injury that is specific to that kind of thing, true villains and terrorists. I’m talking more about “ordinary Germans” who didn’t think very hard and got swept along, moderate supporters to moderate resisters. As a culture, they were moved by the tides into Naziism. They have culpability, but not the exact same kind of culpability as perpetrator people. The culture moved to perpetrate these crimes, and they were a part of that culture. That’s the specific kind of wound I’m interested in healing. There is a poster on that page whose grandma really loved Hitler...
Ok! I spent a lot of my energy in that page, now its 10PM and I still have veggies to prepare. I need energy for this next thing I was going to talk about.
Resource 4 - this one specific coffee shop
I’m putting *s in its name because I like this blog anonymous. P*****n is a coffee shop in Vienna that is the only happy place I went. There were places that were ok... and fine... maybe pleasant... but this place was American levels of happy. Waiters danced around and were actually relaxed and happy. P*****n’s theme is intergenerational communication. It hires grandmothers to work behind the counter, and make pies, and you’re supposed to buy a slice of their pie and talk to them a bit. And then the waiters are young, and they communicate with the Omas. And the Omas are maybe not old enough to have been Nazis but their parents were.
They also include a bit in all their menus about intergenerational dialogue and wondering what more they can do and how they can be more of a space for it.
I had MANY genuinely pleasant little experiences there... and I think that little space that some person with a vision made, is a blossoming flowerpot with lots of healing energy where true dialogue could happen. So that could be a resource too. The happiness of that place. In fact, these conversations could happen there.
But I wouldn’t want to break the space. The course I just took talked about titration, which is just accessing a TINY part of the traumatic memory, so you don’t get overwhelmed. This is a very icy fucked up conversation for a lot of people. My Viennese friend told me to talk more quietly about it than I was. Actually I did talk about it there with some people! The German girl was surprised that I thought Vienna had a wound. So was the Irish girl actually. For other people it’s really evident. My Viennese friend. D**n. Rf: “it’s ALL I feel when I am there.” ME. God that conversation was sooo gentle and sweet and light. The Irish girl was wondering if she should move to Vienna or stay in Barcelona, and the three of us talked about Vienna nd it was SOOOOO LOVELY, holy BALLS.
But even if we don’t hold conversations there exactly, that could be a really good place for conversation to start. I could reach out to the people who run the shop to ask them about it. And then maybe conversations could happen in other places (don’t want to spoil the sweetness of the shop).
Resource 5 - personal as I investigate maybe not really a resource - but yes maybe it is a resource: Grounded, comfortable people who are Viennese, and who understand the goals and also understand the sensitivities of Viennese people more than I do;
Resource 6 - people who are experts at cultural healing in victim cultures
Resource 7 - fostering dialogue between those two parties, also me.
Again I’m really playing fast and loose with the idea of resources. Maybe. We’re starting to move into phase 2, also, because with this dialogue, I want to open up some scripts for how to TITRATE sensitively.
phase 2
For instance, notice that I didn’t say something like “Remembering Vienna’s amazing heritage of incredible music that has the power to redeem and heal equal to and more accessibly than religions.” I think it’s true that Viennese music is a major healing resource (BEETHOVENSCHUBERTMOZARSKLTBSLJRTHBLEWSKJNS:OFDFD), but since it is bound up in Viennese identity, that notion is complex. Also, it’s not only that Viennese identity is nasty because it’s nazi and therefore that gives Schubert etc a dark tint, but also, the grand things that Vienna has contributed to western culture are now a part of Vienna’s current wound of degradation, cheapification, and humiliation by TOURISM. although I will say that I think Resource 8 should be MY OWN deep internalization of the healing power of Viennese music. Posting again to save...
...not only does that music help me be healed, but it also helps me understand healing process in the specific language of the culture i’m interested in
okay.  Phase 2.
A picture of what I think sorta needs to happen
I think Omas that say “It was just a lot of talk, we ignored it” and “I was busy in my life”... I think what needs to happen for a perp culture is for them to actually own their part in the villainy, to claim it and stand in it and feel the pain, and say “I’m SORRY, this was HORRIBLE, I AM SORRY.” THIS WILL ALLOW THEM TO BECOME NEW!!!!!!!
That’s a v different healing process from like native american healing etc.
I really think somatic approach is a better road in than cognitive because, god, imagine cognizing all of this HORRIBLE SIN bit by bit knowing your culture perpetrated it and not having anyone to blame it on. Jesus.
How might the process of getting there look?
This is vague especially now that I don’t have that burst of energy. Conversations...
Here’s a question. After resource gathering.
“Knowing that bells rang for Hitler in Vienna, how does it feel to be Viennese?” IN YOUR BODY?
Damn THAT’S GOOD! THAT’S THE FUNDAMENTAL QUESTION. How does it feel to be Viennese? The goal is for it to feel OK.
Um, speaking specifically about Wiener trauma and their welcoming of Hitler, a few years ago, I read this in some guidebook, Vienna’s government acknowledged that they welcomed Hitler and that they were wrong, and investigating that is important for my mission. It’s cool because 1. it’s a Big Ol Step and 2. it lays groundwork for all of this.
Step 3 is really beautiful to think about. In the course I took, it’s where the instructor got out of his soothing calm neutral demeanor and started speaking passionately and bursting with smiles.
In addition to being able to be more firmly grounded in their own individual and cultural identities...
Okay, so, I’m drawn to this because I’m drawn to it, punkt. That’s all. But also, and I think I’m really late on the uptake here, I think I was due in Vienna many years ago, I think that whatever work I do in Vienna is helpful for the echoes of Naziism in today’s world, such as Trumpism (which does not...exactly... have the same kinds of premises but uses a lot of the same kinds of mecahnisms) and actual brazen nationalism, white supremicism, and far right movements. Hitler is a LOUD and REVERBERANT figure in our history for this kind of energy, and if we can do healing surrounding him, re-discovering resilience in the moderates, helping them go through the emotional journey they need to go through, they will be a beautiful resonant horn call from the past, a solid core of NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that will strengthen the culture of the entire FUCKING world.
Music will be a part of it.
I have always loved Vienna, and I can’t really analyze it. I love it like a girlfriend. I know she’s problematic. And she can be really really horrible.
The wound is deep. The horribleness, the life negating quality not only of the FUCKING WRETCHED SHOP CLERKS, but also of the WAY -- THINGS -- HAPPEN, of the overall weird ass SPIRIT in Vienna, is... God DAMN WHY do I like that city so much? It’s bizarre. It’s very pervasive. I don’t enjoy experiencing it, I don’t think it’s attractive, I don’t like it. I love Vienna THROUGH that wound. I REALLY LOVE Vienna. That’s one of the clearest things that I know in my heart. I love Vienna... and that’s the whole story. It’s one of the easiest things for me to say.
Lots of people love a city. We do it for reasons. I think our hearts are drawn where they are drawn because we are attracted to healing the specific karmas of places. The karma of my hometown is mainly racial, with native american underneath. The coffee shop that is equivalent to P*****n serves often as a place of racial conversation and healing. It is actually pretty amazing. And once there was a white supremacist with a gun there and he stood up on a table and let people see his gun. He didn’t yell or anything. But that vital thing happened there in that coffee shop.
Excuse me I also love coffee shops and Vienna is the land of coffee shops.
Okay. I love Vienna! I literally love Vienna, with my heart. I love Vienna.
One last thing. I’m saving then editing...
The postscript: A major resource, and it kinda sidesteps some things, is language. It will be much better if German is spoken in these conversations. When I went to Vienna last, I didn’t prepare my German because when I went to Vienna first, everyone spoke English and it was simply easier to speak English all the time, so I figured I wouldn’t try to give the illusion and disappoint. But lo... the native people really, really resent it if you don’t even try to speak German. They actually seem to experience it as an injury. It is wild, if you’re not expecting it.
ALL OVER VIENNA I saw the Graffiti stamp/brand, “Tourism is terrorism.”
When I was in the airport and the cute customs dudes asked me the purpose of my visit, I said “TOURISM” and they laughed. That was fun. But it was a lie. I was a pilgrim. I... know I was a tourist, technically. But I felt such hatred for the tourists standing like apes in front of the Schubert statue in the Stadtpark. Their wretched selfie smiles plastered on top of the emptiness of their experience. My purpose in Vienna had nothing in common with theirs. And I claim that I didn’t do a lot of the tourist things - not many museums or concerts or whatever.
One of my more pleasant memories was going into a used book shop and asking about a book in the window, a German-language edition of the tao te ching from 1923 (a very strange time). I asked in English. The clerk was confused and asked if I spoke German, and I answered in German that I spoke some German, but was learning, and knew the TTC very well, and that it’s simply usually easier to speak in English. I might have used imperfect German, but I felt dignified and natural doing it.
Ok, not only the German language, but the quiet Viennese demeanor of Scorpiness. Scorpscorpscorpscorp. Quiet, observant, emotional, and responsive to gentle tenderness and consideration, and traumatized by brashness.
Both the spoken language, and the language of the demeanor, I think are somatic approaches that sidestep cognitive...things and make the culture feel unconsciously accepted and open.
On my first trip I learned howwwwww AMERICAN I was, and then on my second trip I opened myself up to my inner Wiener and was quiet and scorpy, and I felt warmth emerge from the people and city in response. It felt really right, and it felt like i was honoring...her, and it felt um sort of romantic. ha

celticwarriormoon replied to your post:hey lmao im too much of a smallpeen to come off...
You know, as much as I love McHanzo, I can’t help but agree with all your points. I’m in the same boat when it comes to depictions of characters of a certain race in my fics, except it’s worse for me because I have next to zero experience with both Japanese AND American people and customs. I have never been to either country, and unfortunately do not know many people from them irl either. Makes it hard when I’m writing/drawing to get my portrayal of McHanzo exactly right But I’ve always disagreed with those who believe that you should only like/draw/write about/ship characters of a certain race if you are of that race. I understand the need for positive representation and debunking of stereotypes. But you’re not automatically entitled to “own” those characters just because they’re the same nationality as you. Others can enjoy them too. I could easily tell others to stop enjoying Moira content because she belongs to people from my country and my country only. But that isn’t true. I think as long as people are aware of the problems that exist with representation, that they should be free to enjoy characters of whatever race they want. BTW, ludwigplayingthetrombone are like the least “offensive” McHanzo artist I can think of. It’s bizarre to me that this person directed their asks at them, not at the people who genuinely do fetishize McHanzo
I mean, I’ve had a longer-than-an-hour exposure to one (1) American in my entire life outside the Internet (I hosted an American dude who wanted to apply to a school in Finland for like two days), and have never stepped one foot upon the continent either, but American culture is easier to depict solely because of how widespread it is in media. Exposure to it is almost impossible to avoid, and entirely so if you live, say, in Europe. The worst shit I’ve gotten for my depiction of Americans is that I use British English to do so, which is apparently the worst offense and you should never use any other variation of English than the Official American English if you write about Americans, or if the United States exists in your story in some shape or form. :P Anyway, yeah, writing USA is infinitely easier than writing Japan solely because one of these things has infiltrated everything in the media I’ve consumed since the day I was born and the other thing just exists relatively quietly in its own plot of land somewhere over yonder way.
The writing advice of “only write what you know” is legitimately one of the worst, most garbage pieces of “advice” ever given to mankind by anyone, ever. Writing is all about learning, about finding new perspectives; the same goes with reading. You don’t only “read what you know” - that makes no fucking sense. Every story is an adventure, a journey into the unknown. As it fucking should be. If you only write what you know your stories will never evolve, and neither will you as a writer. You will stagnate and your imagination and your human potential will wither. Human beings were not made to sit idly inside their four walls, never looking out the window to see what else is out there - we’re all dreamers, and writing is dreaming. And the thing about fiction and media in general is, exactly, that it belongs to everyone. You have to be careful when you’re treading over someone else’s land, their experiences, their culture and their heritage, but at the same time, without the freedom to create and consume these works of fiction, we don’t have stories anymore. It’s a balance between respect and risk; you will always make mistakes along the way, but just as you need to listen and learn from them, others have to accept that as a human being, you will be imperfect. Especially when it comes to learning.
There’s also a very important thing in here about how powerful fiction is in its ability to teach: when you write about a foreign culture, you set yourself within that picture. If you put the smallest effort into portraying that culture, you will inevitably learn about it, and its customs and its people will become closer to you - you’ll form a personal relationship to them, which makes you more open to them, and has the potential to spark a thirst for learning more. Telling people not to touch characters, stories and subjects that “belong” to other cultures is telling people not to cross those lines, to separate and segregate, and this is how fear and prejudice breeds. Racism, especially unintentional and subconscious racism, draws its strength from ignorance and humanity’s instinctive distrust of the unknown, particularly when it comes to outside groups of other human beings. In this case, allowing people the opportunity to connect safely via stories, via fiction, and form sometimes very deep personal relationships to characters that are written to represent a group of real people, is crucial in teaching them acceptance and openmindedness.
So, yeah. There’s that.
Also @ fandom: if Overwatch ever gets a Finnish character, you have my explicit permission to fuck up when it comes to portraying my culture, as long as you gave half a fuck about trying while going at it. And as long as I can angrily vaguepost about it on my blog, that is.

ugh i had to read what he said
P much just going to compile the nonsense being said into one post since I’m now magically unblocked. It’s long.
i cant @ him so if anyone’s wondering it’s about this garbage can of a post
http://altimux.tumblr.com/post/161225497413/apologies-for-this-not-being-under-a-readmore-im
I dont belong in this fandom i have nothing to lose. Besides im fucking sick of the problematic shit going unchecked in this fandom.
You constantly insist that you don’t belong or aren’t in the fandom...but you never really leave........I think the only thing stopping you is your sick need to be creepy and keep tabs on ppl you don’t like.
I have more to say about it than either of you. All you are going on about is hearsay. I’m a motherfucking witness. So sit down and shut your asses up.
This sounds like the cheap knockoff generic brand version of the navy seal copypasta.
You’re about as much of a witness as I was, as you joined the chat after the stuff you’re talking about happened.
You know why im getting involved? This shit has happened before with at least 4 other people and im fucking tired of it.
You’re getting involved because that’s all you know how to do. It’s like you’re only function on this website, man.
You like to weasel your way into situations that result in fallout that you’re not capable of handling. You start shit with people, they get mad, and you backpedal and claim you’re a boohoo sad victim bc people /understandably/ get pissed at you.
You do vindictive, manipulative, impulsive stuff then claim to be morally superior because people react in a way that isn’t nice or “civil”.
You exacerbate everything, stalk people’s blogs looking for any minor slip up or personal post  that you can vague them for because they’re manipulative or something or make a lazy callout post about them, you misinform relentlessly, you’re just relentless in general about being a drama-inducing nuisance.
Maybe if you didn’t leave shitstorms in your wake every single time your ugly fursona finds its way into my activity feed, you wouldn’t feel so unwelcome.
Being accused of something that the person didnt do, and getting bullied out of the fandom. And even if they did, who are they apologizing to? Most of the people in toonblr that were in the chat fucking left.
Well you did say that they joked about incest, clearly not something to joke about and is very apologize-worthy to ppl that had to see something so ugly.
The only people you can get ANY info from are people who hate Pong to begin with. Of course theyd be like “hey yeah theyre into fambly” because it opens them up to being punished.
Ok but why are you talking about this and not them. What does this have to do with you.
Oh wait, it’s because you’re so horrendously consumed by bringing down anyone vaguely affiliated with the drama you started ages ago because that’s all you seem to talk about when it comes to this fandom. You post zero content that isn’t vagues. Right. Moving on.
They could’ve made a post themselves talking about the unfortunate stuff they did in the past, and how it was something they’d like to pretend didn’t happen. If ppl didn’t trust them after, fine. No one should be forced to be ok with it.
But like, at least it would’ve been something.
Just hopping back in but being like “the tag is bad not me” is not the way to go about it, my dude. It’s almost like they’re learning from you.
I hate to get into kinkshaming culture but smth cut and dry. If y'alls wanna joke abt kinks (vore me daddy, etc) without being into them you know damn well its not fair to suddenly say “no even joking about it isnt ok youre disgusting” and then treating the person like they get off to it. Yes there are “kinks” that are illegal and arent ok to even jole about but of all things, fambly doesnt even hold a candle to it. Sure its not morally ok, but this attack on Pong isnt justified.
what the fuck. what the fuck. what the fuck.
did u just equate vore to being in the same realm of bad as incest?????
i just...oh man. oh man you’re digging your own grave here dude.
just do me a favor and never become a lawyer. please.
On top of that this shit was TWO YEARS AGO. How the everloving fuck do you hold someone accountable of blogging something so old ot would take eons to dig it up. People change in two years. Things they used to approve of they may be against in two years. To punish them continuously for something you heard about is VERY toxic.
You’d know a lot about toxic behavior and never letting things go wouldn’t you?
More on that down below. wink wonk.
I intervened because all that i can see happening is you get your apology and turn them into an example of what happens to toonblrs that are problematic at any point in their life.
No you intervened because you’re self-righteous and are consumed by the need to validate your obsession with someone.
Did they see the post I made themselves? Or were you on one of your nightly “lets see whomst I can make vages about today” runs and happened to see that post and took it upon yourself to relay it to them?
You were looking for an outlet to try and find ways in which I could be seen as problematic because I associate myself with that someone and that (in your mind) would validate how bad they are bc they hang out with bad and naughty toonblrs like me. Or the reverse of that.
But you’re reaching, as usual.
How much do they have to say “they dont approve of fambly” for you to believe them? That they have to apologize to people who only heard about it through others? Would you keep pushing them to bend over backwards? Or no matter what they do you’ll always see them as “a bad influence”
Just call it incest, dude. Keep the weird kink name shit out of this lol
And if they said “Hey guys I don’t approve of incest, also I’m back and a good person jsyk” I would’ve believed them.
I don’t see that as bending over backwards.
But then you had to go and do......all this.
And if Pong were to ignore you,
That shit is manipulative. Thats why i intervened. The only people that have the right to request an apology are people who were in the chat. Or is someone using you as a puppet? ;)
I can request an apology if I damn well please.
And no I’m not a puppet like...calm down dude. There’s no insidious plot made by the toonblr elite to get you and your 4 fellow former toonblr trash boys that are the only ppl that like your toonblr-related vagues.
In any case its you guys who should apologize to them. Theyre just trying to exist in the space like you are. Not only do you have no right to bring up old shit, you dont have the right to request an apology when all the information you have recieved is distorted by the biases of the people around you. Fuck off, @broom-service and @minglermail
I’m not apologizing for anything lmao
and keep Pom out of this. They don’t deserve to deal with ur nonsense dude.
Sincerely, the “king of not letting things go”, the former mun of toon-sirshade two years ago, and current mun of @toon-cream.
Omg !!! Secret identity revealed!!! It’s almost like I worded my responses safely knowing that you, a garbageboy stinkman, would post them publicly.
Like you, I have nothing to lose from this. I’m not the type that’s going to like....write a sincere apology and delete because shade “This Is None Of My Business But Now I Guess It Is” stinkman posted a private conversation that I went out of my way to make civil and bland as possible.
PS: vague culture is cowardly bullshit. Either talk to them or call them out.
You’ve built your identity on vagues, dude.
AT LEAST DELETE THEM BEFORE U MAKE SUCH A STATEMENT, MY GOODNESS.
Tumblr media
thats a vague u took from a reblog blog owned by a person that is extremely uncomfortable with your stalking.
but yknow you just keep creeping on them anyway. relentlessly.
Tumblr media
another. still stalking.
and my personal favorite one you made about me
Tumblr media
remember when u said i was racist for making a character out of my own culture that u know nothing about?? im not gonna assume your race like you did to me but hoo boy this is a very white tumblery thing to do.
like sit the fuck down yourself dude.
God this is what made me loathe you, man. I could’ve looked past all the shit you started before but like????? You knew NOTHING about the character bc I hadn’t posted her story, NOTHING about me and my heritage, yet you just go and try to find any reason to make me seem like a shitty person.
you were planning on making a callout post as if that would’ve made me look like the bad guy, but as usual, everything you have to say has no substance and you only do things to get a reaction out of people.
and you acted so tough like ur callout was going to make me delete or something omg
jesus fucking christ i was trying to be civil but this makes my blood boil.
There are other characters people have made with strong ties to a cultural identity, and their creators haven’t gotten shit for it.
I know you targeted that character because I’m the one that made it, not because you care about racist caricatures.
It’s not a racist caricature. I based her on pictures of my fucking grandma’s outfits that she wore when she took trips to Mexico to visit her grandma. I’ve worn those dresses and those braids myself. You have no fucking clue how much that shit means to me. You’re just a sick, sad person hunting through a blog dedicated to technicolor animals just to make me look bad.
No amount of “misinformation” that’s been spread about Pong or whatever will compare to how much you’ve spread about other people or the paranoia (not even using that term lightly) you induce by your constant stalking and harassment -- however indirect it may be. Maybe you should apologize for calling me racist, rather than asking for an apology for someone else out of a misplaced and false sense of justice.
I really think you need to take a step back and try self-awareness for once.
