Later, when Alex is more eloquent, he'll say that Jack is golden.

Or, no. More like Jack takes golden light and weaves it into something new, some gleaming…well, something. The point is that later on Alex will have the words, but right now he doesn't.

Right now, he just has the picture, but what a beautiful picture it is.

Jack is still asleep. Alex doesn't fault him, since it's Saturday and he's only just woken up himself, even though the clock has informed him it's half past noon and the sun is already high in the sky. Alex could move. He could get up, pull on some sweats, and shuffle into the kitchen to make some mid-afternoon coffee and brunch (breakfast eaten at lunchtime). Sure. He could.

But God, Jack is so gorgeous.

It's been a little while since Alex has had the opportunity just to watch Jack sleep. He watches Jack whenever he can, watches him shouting at the Orioles on TV (because honestly they could not possibly have chosen a less competent team to back), watches him pore over documents Alex still doesn't quite understand the nature of, watches him when he drives Alex home, windows down, breeze ruffling through his clothes and hair, singing terribly along with whatever early 2000s pop punk song happens to come on shuffle. It's so easy to watch him because there's always something to see; Jack is motion manifested, always on, always shifting like ripples in water, never quite the same on a second glance. 

But now, though. Now is special. Moments like these are special, because for once Jack is still, and what a stunning still photograph he makes. Long eyelashes over sharp cheekbones, dark hair contrasted against the white pillowcase, the blanket falling just low enough that his left shoulder is exposed, ink from the tattoo sprawling over tan skin. Alex could drink it in for the rest of his life, and he doubts he'd ever grow tired.

It must be a few minutes, but Alex is happy not to keep track. Eventually Jack stirs, and his eyelids twitch before he opens his eyes, slowly. When his gaze meets Alex's, he smiles, lazily.

"G'morning," he says huskily. The sleep hasn't cleared from his voice. Alex hopes it never does. 

"Morning," he answers.

"Time?"

"Don't ask." 

Jack breathes a tired laugh at that. "How long you been up?"

Alex feels a smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "Ten minutes, maybe."

"And you've been just sitting here watching me sleep?" Jack's eyes flutter shut as he smiles. "Creep."

Alex can't help it; he reaches out, fingertips landing on Jack's face, thumb tracing underneath his eye. "You're so beautiful," he murmurs. Jack exhales quietly, happily. "I love waking up with you." Wish I could do it every day, he means.

They haven't discussed it, but maybe it's time they do.

"You're not so bad yourself," Jack says warmly in return, but he doesn't open his eyes. 

Alex drags the pad of his thumb down Jack's jaw, then brushes over his cheek with the plane of his index finger, taking his time to trace the outline of the most beautiful face he's had the good fortune of falling in love with. Jack doesn't move, and his halfway smile doesn't waver as Alex smoothes his thumb over Jack's lips. "My Jack," he says softly. In the sanctuary of this morning, from the golden boy at the end of Alex's fingertips to the promise of sunshine and coffee when they finally get up, it's easy to add, "I love you."

At this Jack's smile does grow, and he finally opens his eyes. Alex can't even imagine what he sees. A man too far gone for his own good, probably. 

"Wait, say it again," he says. "I didn't get to look at you before."

It's so profoundly Jack that Alex has to swallow back a laugh. "I love you," he repeats, and the words taste like glitter and sunlight and Jack's smile is gold, pure gold.

"I love you too," he says, the most beautiful four-four measure Alex has ever heard, like Jack has somehow figured out a way to twist stardust into language; the shortest love song ever written, just for Alex's ears.

Alex smiles, and he knows he's not half as radiant as Jack when he does, but it's not like he could stop himself. To be in love with Jack is a privilege all by itself; for Jack to be in love with him, Alex thinks he must have been some kind of Odyssean hero in a past life.

"We should get up," Jack finally says, and Alex realizes he's lapsed into silence again, drinking in the sight of Jack once more. "At some point."

"Nah," Alex says. He threads his fingers through Jack's hair and shifts closer, until Jack rolls onto his back and Alex can lean over him, arms braced against the pillow. "I disagree."

"Oh, well, in that case," Jack says dryly, but he hasn't stopped smiling since his eyes opened to meet Alex's.

"We should stay here forever," Alex suggests. He ducks down and presses a kiss to Jack's cheek, and Jack giggles. "We should stay here," and he drops another kiss on Jack's other cheek, "and never go anywhere," his temple, "or see anyone," his nose, "or do anything else forever," and he starts trailing kisses down the line of Jack's jaw.

"We'll both be fired," Jack says pragmatically.

Alex shakes his head. "Don't care. We'll become hermits. I'm pretty sure hermits get a monthly check from, like, Hermits United."

"I think you watch too much Doctor Who."

Somehow this startles a laugh out of Alex, and he pulls away for a moment to look Jack in the face. "But you got the reference, so who's the real geek?"

When Jack laughs this time, Alex feels it vibrate against his lips where he's leaving soft kisses down the line of Jack's throat. "Oh, God. This is my worst nightmare. You've made me a Doctor Who fan." Then, "If anyone was going to corrupt me, of course it would be you."

Alex pulls back again, smiling in the gleaming light of Jack's fond look. "I hardly think Doctor Who is how I'm going to corrupt you. Didn't I just suggest we both get sacked and hole up in your apartment?"

"That's true." Jack skims a hand up Alex's chest and curls his fingers around Alex's neck. "I kinda liked that idea, though. Tell me more."

Alex hums. "Well, I can promise you it will involve a lot of this," and he dips down to kiss Jack on the lips, slowly, intently, savoring every second, committing the taste to memory in case anyone ever asks him what sunlight tastes like. 

Jack smiles against Alex's mouth, so Alex moves back just a breath. "I'm convinced," Jack mumbles. His fingernails scratch lightly at the back of Alex's neck, at the ends of his hair. "I'm in. Let's do it."

Alex chuckles and lowers himself down, kissing Jack again with absolutely no intention of stopping, and Jack lets him, and after a moment Alex thinks of something to say that requires breaking the kiss, so he does.

"Move in with me?" he asks.

Jack hums. "You should move in with me," he says. "All your shit is here anyway, and I live closer to your school."

"Sounds like you've thought about it."

"I have," says Jack. "A lot. I've been thinking about it for a long time."

Something about that makes Alex's heart skip a beat. "I'd love to move in with you," he says, a little breathless. "God, I fucking love you."

Jack gazes at Alex, deep, earnest brown eyes as sincere as they'd been the first day they'd met. "Alright, gig's up," he says. "I already said you can move in. You can stop the bribe now."

Alex laughs and hides his face in Jack's neck, barely moving his lips to brush a kiss over his collarbone. "No way, babe. I have weeks of not saying it to make up for."

"Weeks, huh?"

"Yeah, weeks."

"Oh, well. That's alright then." Jack's arms are tight around Alex's neck. "I love you. I'd love you more if you made coffee."

"This love can't be conditional," Alex protests. 

"It's not conditional! I'm just saying if you made coffee I'd love you even more."

"Choosing to believe you already love me the maximum amount," Alex says airily, "but I will make you coffee anyway, because I'm that nice."

Jack sighs contentedly. "You know, I always think I love you the maximum amount," he says reflectively, "but then every day I fall more in love with you. So I'm starting to think there might not be a limit."

Alex's heart skips another beat. That might become a problem if it continues. "Holy fuck, that's romantic," he says, because it is, and then, fervently, "Me too, by the way."

He feels Jack giggle. "Well, I woke up and the first thing you did was call me beautiful. I'm just trying to keep up at this point."

Alex wonders how he ever existed without Jack, and he sends up a silent prayer to whoever's listening that he never has to again. He shifts, rolling onto his side and pulling Jack with him, because his arms are getting kind of tired, and affords Jack a grin. "I meant it," he promises. "You are. So gorgeous. I wish I could just look at you forever."

"But then how would you watch Doctor Who?"

Alex laughs. "Good point. I take it back. I wish I could look at you forever except for forty-five minutes twice a week."

"That's more like it." Jack moves to cup Alex's face in his hand, and his smile is so soft, so quiet, something only for Alex to see. "I don't think I mentioned, but you're also beautiful, Alex. You're just." He sweeps his thumb over Alex's cheek. "I wish I knew more words, or more languages, or something, so I could figure out how to say what I'm trying to say."

And Alex thinks maybe he understands, because if it's anything like what Alex has been trying to say then he knows already there are no words for it in any language. It's not something that gets said; it's a feeling, or maybe a moment, and it's in the room right now, settling like a blanket over them both. "I know," he whispers, letting his eyes close, letting Jack lean in and kiss him gently, leisurely, like they have all the time in the world, and maybe they do.

(Sometime later, Alex will find his best approximations for what they're both grasping at right now. It'll start with I remember when I woke up the morning you first told me you loved me, my first thought was, "Wow, this man is golden," and it'll end with I do.)

Alright so this will contain spoilers for chapters 7 to chapter 21. Also this is unedited and I ramble so good luck reading this lol.

So I wanted to add something to MC. So it was in the other post that we were thinking that MC had photographic memory, but when we panicking THEY WILL NOT REMEMBER ANYTHING. I say this but I’m going to like say that the only time this was not the case when they were in the labyrinth and had to remember how to summon Asmo.

Speaking of Asmo. I said before his was the longest to get but after the end of that night MC would tell him that they were still uncomfortable and to wait for them. Which is were Solomon comes in. The three of them hang out together a lot and that will help MC relax around Asmo more. I give it like a week and half maybe more maybe less. I like to think there are grace periods between the shinanagines. Then when they go back it doesn’t really change? Whether or not Solomon and MC live together is debatable but you bet they all hang out together as much as possible.

SPEAKING OF. Ok have i mention that MC and Solo are like siblings? Like I imagine during the ball when Luci is threatening you, Solomon just steps in like “Hello I am the brother your scaring the baby which is my job.” Then turning around and going “Yeah so lie ignore what he said I’m giving you part of my power to cause shinanagines.” And MC is just screaming internally because they don’t want to but given how these past months went it will actually happen.

I would love to switch topics and bring up something small I mentioned before. MC is the type to not be able to sleep and during one of these nights they probably passed Lucifer’s door to see that the light was still on. So they go the the kitchen, text him if he wants tea, coffee or a snack. Usually its just coffee but MC would take it to him and they exist in the same room until MC feels like they can sleep.

Anyway, we also talked about Satan knowing through his search on the internet about MC’s job, and how he’ll just casually weave it into a conversation leaving MC just confused. He would probably see MC on the same spectrum to him. While he collects knowledge for power MC collects knowledge to feel safe.

During the video game part of his arc, is when they really sit down and actually interact the most. MC giving him the full explanation on why they do the show and the things they learn through their research. They literally spend a whole in game day talking about demonology the others are just in the background like wtf?

YO THE MURDER ON THE TRAIN THOUGH?

BEFORE THAT MC WALKING THROUGH LONDON ONE OF THE BROTHER I THINK ASKED IF THEY WERE HAPPY TO BE BACK AND THIS MC IS JUST LIKE “Oh yeah definitely! Last time i was in London me and Solomon tried to solve a famous murder case! Oh then there was that haunted tavern- *gasp* WAIT ARE WE NEAR COLCHESTER CASTLE?” Their London videos are one of their favorites because i like to think MC is a history nerd sometimes.

Anyway the murder on the train. As Mammon, Luci and Satan are talking about doing things the ��Demon way’ MC is just like. “Guys I’m and investigator leave this to me!” “Your a paranormal investigator. Let us handle this.” Luci would say but MC just points to Grisella. “THERE IS A LITERAL GHOST AND YALL ARE DEMONS LET ME HANDLE THIS.”

That scene has been in my head for weeks I’m sorry.

Then the horror game prank? Oh hell nah. MC is TERRIFIED. I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t cry or something. Like yeah they live with demons lol but the fact that magic exists still hasn’t settled in and now that its actively effecting the people they grew to love they are freaking out.

This is getting a lot longer then I had anticipated so I’ll wrap things up and add to these ideas later. If anyone wants me to elaborate on something let me know.

So coming towards the end of the events when Belphie is out and everything. At first I see MC being very wary about getting close to him. But then they see his brothers acting awkward and avoiding him. MC would feel bad, but they cant bring themselves to automatically hang out with him. So what they do is start by just being near him. Not necessarily talking but just being in the same room or near by. Getting used to his presence. Then slowly building up interactions to get to what we see in the game before the belated welcome party/birthday party.

When its time to leave Solomon would probably also stick behind to wait for MC to go home. Each of the brothers would most likely say the same thing as they do in the game but add in something about their job. Like “if you piss any demons off make sure to call one of us.” Or something.

I already talked about how their show would slowly turn into more of a informational show.

SO THE RETURN. Solomon would 100% drag MC to a portal to hell with a handheld camera. He vlogs saying that they are going to go back to hell for a while to there wont be any videos. THEN PUTS THE CAMERA ON THE FLOOR WHILE MC IS JUST LKE “WHAT? EXCUSE ME? I DIDNT SIGN UP FOR THIS!” And disappear on camera.

Solomon before hand had one of their editors (who is likely a demon he has a pact with) upload that and their fans just FREAK OUT. Like I imagine magic messes with human tech so the camera just fizz out and they hear the spell and like that they are both gone.

God this is turning into a full fanfic idea... I should probably write it at this point with how detailed its becoming. ;;;;;

Hi lovers, im typing this from the death pits of my bed as I just woke up from the littest and bestest night of my life with Niall at the Flicker World Tour in Singapore. I’ll try to recall as much as I can about the whole experience from the soundcheck, M&G and the concert.

Soundcheck:

I was right smack in the middle and second row for soundcheck. We were all seated and anxiously waiting for Niall to come out so we were all just casually talking and all of a sudden with no warning whatsoever he just came out along with the band. It really took me by surprise (no pun intended lmao) like this bitch just came out of nowhere and made me tear up shshfdhfjfv. He then said his greetings to Singapore and then started playing On The Loose, You & Me and Fire Away which sounded really amazing everyone were singing and jamming/swaying to the songs. After the songs ended, everyone was screaming and he started covering his ears and had this freaked out look on his face lmao this boy is so dramatic I swear to god we weren’t really that loud ajnjdsncjs. He then started to tell us to calm down and asked us if we watch High School Musical and started to lead the Sharpay breathing exercise lmao.

After everyone quieten down, he started talking about how good it was to be back in Singapore and how hot Singapore is (like literally it’s 31-32 degrees Celsius outside and really humid, the moment I step outside im drenched in sweat idk how I survived in this weather for the past 20 years it’s summer everyday). He even said he played golf at 8am earlier and he felt like he’s having a heatstroke and was drenched in sweat just by standing there and was like “nah I can’t do this can I” HAHAHA. He went like “Jesus how did you all survive in this weather but obviously all of you have climatized to it” and pointed behind him where there were all sorts of drinks from plain water to sweet drinks and how he had to drinks gallons of water to keep himself hydrated. And THEN a fan in front of me told him she was thirsty and HE GAVE HIS BOTTLED WATER TO HER. I think she got freaked out and was just standing still with the bottle in hand and they had a staring contest and Niall said I just gave you me water bottle so you better drink it but she was still hesitant to drink it and then he added “that better not be on E-Bay by 6pm”. Everyone around me started chanting “chug chug chug” and I joined in hahaha and then she started drinking from the bottle.

He then asked us if we were ready for Q&A and everyone lost the plot and screamed their heads off and he covered his ears again until a girl told everyone to shut up and then he pointed to her and said “that’s my girl right there” and that girl just lost the plot and shaking and screaming and everyone started screaming again it was hilarious lmfao. One of his crew then came out with a few coloured post-it notes in hand where we wrote our questions for Niall. One of the questions was if he’d rather win the grammys or the masters tournament, which was a really good qn im honestly curious. He started talking bout how the theatre looks like it’s in the grammys and added “Not that I know how it feels to be there”. But really though, this man deserves a Grammy someone give it to him pls he deserves it so much. Cant even remember if he even answered the qn bc he was talking about nice the theatre is and how he would always research on the venues he’ll be playing. Another qn was something about his guitars. He said that he’s got an old Gibson with him and that he’d play for us later and added that it needs careful attention bc on the road it will always need some sort of repairing and fixing. He then quipped that one of his crew who’s a guitar technician has made guitars from scratch and everyone started applauding and cheering for him even though he was backstage. He started talking about Jake like how you can spend just 2 hours listening to him talking about guitars and 2 hours is not enough hahaha. Another qn was something like how he’s gonna spend his time after the tour. He said that he’ll be chilling for a while and then focus on making his new album but not to expect it very soon as he’s trying to make the right sound for his new album. A fan then quipped that he can take his own time and this boy just cocked his hips out with his hands on his hips and said “oh yeah I’ll take my sweet ass time” jjsbjfidnsjcsdn. Another qn was something like if he remembers any faces during the concerts. He said that he generally remembers the ones in the first few rows and those that have attended a few of his shows. He then added how ridiculous for some fans to come to him and asked him if he remembers them from 2014 dcjdbcjd.  He answered a few more qns which was a blur I cant remember sorry!!! It went by so fast though like 30-35 mins?? Honestly the soundcheck was a blast, he’s so cheeky and sarcastic and sassy and he engaged and interacted with everyone which was so captivating and charming about him im so heart eyes for him.

Meet & Greet:

Right after the soundcheck was m&g which got my heart beating so fast and anxious about. Thank god I was the last few people to go which gives me time to calm down and realign my train of thoughts. When it was my turn to go, I took a peek behind the board and he was right there but he was busy passing a letter to one of the crew a fan gave to him who went before me. I just went straight in and patiently waited beside him and gawking at him because he was just so beautiful and calming to look at fjvdjvjbjdn. Idk why but at that point of time I didn’t feel nervous at all but not until he turned towards me and I had a fucking mental breakdown bc his eyes were so blue it’s so pretty and his face was so smooth and shaved. I was too busy looking into his eyes that I didn’t realise that he smiled at me and pulled me into a hug and asked “how are you you good?” I replied with “yeah Im really good how are you” but I didn’t hear his reply bc I was too busy burying my face into his shoulder and breathing deep into his shirt to smell him ahhhssdfjs. YALL HE SMELLS SO FRESH AND IT REMINDS ME OF A SCENTED CANDLE THAT JUST CALMS YOU DOWN AND MAKES YOUR BODY WARM UP (or was that just me lmfaoooo). The scent isn’t strong at all like I literally had to take a good sniff from his shirt to be able to smell it!!!! While that his arms were around my waist and shoulder and his grip felt SO FIRM AROUND ME. He then pulled away and pulled me into a side hug and we took a picture and I realised that I didn’t wrap my other arm across his front and I quickly did and THEN he fucking put his other arm that was free on my arm that I just wrapped across his front and without even realising I was brushing my hand across his hairy arms ANJCNSJDNC IT’S SO SOFT AND HAIRY YALL UGHHHH. The photographer then took another shot before we pulled away and I turned back to him and started reaching out for the bracelet I made for him and a letter I wrote for him and passed it to him. I told him that I made him this bracelet that was matching with mine that I had on my wrist which has some chakra beads and his initials on it (mine with my initials of course). He was like “aw that’s really nice thank you” and saw the front of my postcard letter (which I managed to squeeze a good 2 pages of what I wanted to say to him) which said “Greetings from the World” and he read it out and thanked me again for the gift. I was about to leave when I asked him for another hug and we went straight for the hug and I started breathing into his shirt again lmao. When we pulled away, I told him he looks so different now that he shaved and I asked him why did he shave bc I love his beard and his sarcastic ass just scoffed and said “oh I shaved it by accident”. My dumbass of course shot him a confused look and said “what do you mean by accident???”  before I left and said hi to mark and he smiled back and said hi :’) I just pray hard that my m&g photo will turn out nice!!!

Concert:

Well we all know the concert was lit I had a blast and I was so proud to be part of the paper houses fan project when he performed Paper Houses. The crowd was really beautiful even Niall was in awe and smiling the whole time and said “that’s beautiful” im sobbing. I cant emphasize the number of times Niall was talking about the warm weather in Singapore too hahaha. Cant help but to feel really touched when he said that he completely understands how expensive concert tickets can be and for picking his show to attend to out of the many tours going on even though he’s said it many times in previous shows. The only thing that he didn’t do during the concert was introducing the band to us which I was really looking forward to but it’s okay it was the best concert experience I ever had!! We stan a legend and talented man :’)
