36. Their favorite season
Mina, Jack, Arthur, Renfield, Van Helsing
Ooh love this question, anon! Spoilers under the cut (though I tried to keep it implied). Spoiler-free ask on different prompts with Jonathan here.
Mina:
Initial impressions: Fall. She feels like someone would love the fall colors, bundling up and — in a modern setting — spooky season! I can totally picture her being a stereotypical fall girlie (I say this with all the love, fall is my personal favorite season).
Final thoughts: Spring. I think she would love seeing the beauty of nature at full bloom and appreciate seeing animals, especially baby ones, coming out of hibernation. Plus, spring is the perfect time to take long strolls with Jonathan and her friends! We know she’d love to travel with him to different places and, while summer is an ideal time to do this too, I just think she’d love to go during this time of year when the landscape would be vibrant and colorful. There’s something indescribably special about spring for her!
Renfield:
First impressions & Final Thoughts: Summer. This one seemed pretty cut and dry (though feel free to give your thoughts if you think he’d have a different favorite season!!). Summer is when all of his favorite things that give him good life are up and about! Bugs are super easy to attract in the summer, as opposed to the other seasons. Beyond that, I also think he likes the feeling on the sun on his face — it’s more prominent in the summer and gives him a taste of freedom and the outside world he can’t feel otherwise… :(
Arthur:
Initial impressions: Summer. This is likely the time of year when he went traveling with the suitor squad and when Lucy accepted his proposal, so it would stand to reason it’s also his favorite time of year! With wide-open skies and the weather at a good temperature, this time of year probably makes him feel like a man in his element.
Final thoughts: Fall. I think he’s drawn to the leaves changing color and the wind in his face. I imagine he also likes the feel of bundling up and being able to hold loved ones close. I imagine after the events of the book, fall would be very hard for him to enjoy — considering the most horrific events of the book (especially the worst possible thing to him personally) takes place during the fall. However, I think he would come to enjoy it again eventually. Mainly because he’d have the Crew of Light to help him enjoy it. Plus, who else but him is going to show baby Quincey the leaves changing color?? I mean, the others could, but he’s the one who appreciates it the most!
Jack:
Initial impressions: He doesn’t have a favorite season! Seasons are things to be observed for science, not to be enjoyed.
Final thoughts: The initial impression is actually what I imagine he would say if you asked him at the beginning of Dracula but post-canon, I think he would appreciate winter the most. He would come to like sitting around a fireplace with loved ones, enjoying blankets upon blankets heaped on top of him to keep him warm (he gets cold easily). Also, while he’s improved emotionally, I think he would still like the quiet reflection he’s able to get in the winter months when he can stare off into the snow or the fireplace, thinking philosophical thoughts instead of depressing thoughts now. Of course, during Christmas, his extended family (aka the Crew of Light) would have *none* of that! Christmas is a boisterous affair…and Jack wouldn’t have it any other way. :)
Van Helsing:
Initial impressions: Winter. I’m not sure why, but I initially got winter vibes from him, and I could see it. I could definitely see Christmas being his favorite holiday, while also rattling off traditions of other winter holidays. Plus, it’s a time to be with family and he would certainly enjoy that!
Final thoughts: I think winter would be too hard for him to fully enjoy after the loss of his family (namely, Christmas). So, I think his favorite season would be spring. Like Mina (and we all know how much he loves being like Madam Mina), he enjoys seeing new life blooming after a harsh winter and serving as a constant reminder of good rebirth. I also think he would enjoy Easter for a similar reason. Fun fact: Easter egg hunts were a thing in the 1800s in England (introduced by Germans — source: this article), so I definitely think Van Helsing insisted upon hosting Easter egg hunts, especially after Quincey Harker was born. <3

Incel Tomura
I couldn’t think of a good title for this, so... I just went with something real blunt. Anyway, this was inspired by a friend and how she actually met her IRL boyfriend.
PAIRING: Incel!Shigaraki x egirl!reader
TW: face sitting, degradation, mommy kink, reader basically bullying Tomura (he deserves it)
3.2k~
AS ALWAYS MY FICS ARE STRICTLY 18+
Tumblr media
“TCH!”
Tomura scoffed at the screen of his laptop. The Discord server he helped admin had gone to shit since he let that idiot Dabi loosen the requirements to join. It was one thing when Toga joined. He knew she was a decent gamer. But you? With those stereotypical cat-ear headsets, perfectly done make-up and short skirts? Please… He saw right through you. Just another fake ~uwu~ e-girl trying to pretend they knew what they were talking about.
It didn’t end with you being annoyingly informed in the gaming chat, either. You were always in the anime and manga chats, too… Suggesting different ones that there’s no way you actually enjoyed.
But the WORST part of you being in the server? Spamming the picture chat with selfies and outfit pics. No, it wasn’t against the guidelines and yes, you got lots of compliments (of course, you were clearly hot), but it made Tomura livid. Where there used to be pics of half-built PCs and screenshots of character upgrades, now there were endless pictures meant to tease and bait the guys in the server.
Today’s picture is what sent him completely over the edge. Your hair was put up in two messy space buns, signature pink cat-eared headset perched on your head. Your black, mesh top was straining against your tight, hot pink bra, barely hiding your cleavage and your slender neck was adorned with a chunky, black collar with a large, silver ring hanging from the front. The icing on the cake, though… the thing that broke him, was the face you were making. Eyes crossed, little pink tongue lolling past your perfect hot-pink lips, it was an obvious ahegao face. The caption read:
“New collar! Thank you for da gift @XxXknifey_wifeyXxX”
Followed by a bunch of annoying ass emojis.
Tomura shifted in his gaming chair, his growing bulge making his sweats tight. He gritted his teeth and opened his DMs…
******
You snickered as you opened your text chat with Dabi. Poor Tomura… He had no clue his friend was an old high school buddy of yours and sent screenshots every single time he bitched about your presence on the server. At first, it was just a couple of snide comments, but you quickly decided to turn it into a game. You’d add more emojis than you normally would, flirt shamelessly with Toga in the chat, and be very vocal with your opinions. Then it progressed with more and more selfies, pics showing off your new skirts, and pics of your pink, girly gaming setup. Today you pushed it with the ahegao face, you’ll admit. It was pretty out of character for you, but you couldn’t wait to hear about Tomura’s reaction from Dabi.
It was everything you hoped it would be:
Decay_666_
So can we give those bitches their own chat or what? Seriously, I’m sick of seeing their shit everywhere. Did you see her ahegao face selfie? This server was supposed to be for ACTUAL gamers, not fake e-girl sluts spamming the chat with their bullshit…
Cremation_Daddy
Lol, damn dude, calm down… we can make a separate chat. You’re the only one on the server complaining. Y/N really fucking you up that bad?
Decay_666_
Oh, fuck off… she’s just being an attention whore and it’s getting on my nerves.
Cremation_Daddy
Yeah, whatever you say. Prolly jerkin it to that selfie right now
You didn’t know why, but you kinda had a crush on the skinny loser. Knowing how worked up he’d get over the smallest things you did thrilled you. You wanted to know just how badly you affected him and today was the day you’d find out.
*****
Tomura heard a ping from his monitor alerting him to a new DM. expecting it to be Dabi giving him more shit, he scowled and clicked over to his Discord tab. When he saw that it was you DMing him, it was like someone had poured a bucket of ice water over his head. He could barely type he was so nervous.
Y/N
Hey :)
Decay_666_
Hi
Y/N
How did you like my new collar?
Tomura panicked. Had Dabi said something? There’s no way he’d do that. How did he even respond to that? He decided to feign ignorance.
Decay_666_
What collar?
Y/N
*image*
He audibly gasped. You sent him the selfie you’d posted in the chat earlier. Somehow, it was even hotter than the first time he’d seen it. Probably because you had sent it to him. You wanted to make sure he saw it. The thought alone made him painfully hard. He typed out a shaky response:
Decay_666_
Yeah… you look really pretty :)
He grimaced. He couldn’t think of anything clever when he was put on the spot like that. Plus, how long had it been since he’d spoken to a girl one on one? Much less a hot one? Never. That’s when.
Y/N
Aww, you’re so sweet :) wanna see it in person?
Now Tomura was wondering if he’d died and gone to heaven. Did she want to meet up? Wearing that fucking collar? There’s no way… He stared at the screen for a good ten minutes before another ping brought him back to reality.
Y/N
I’m free now if you are. Plus, there’s a new episode of *insert favorite anime* out and I didn’t wanna watch it alone.
Decay_666_
Yeah. Sure.
His response was almost uninterested but inside he was panicking. When was the last time he showered? How much time did he have to get ready? Did he even have any clean clothes? He leaped from his chair and ran to the bathroom to brush his teeth. Another ping rang out and he raced to check his DMs to see that you’d sent your address. To his surprise, you only lived a short walk from him. Another jolt of excitement shot through his spine as he quickly responded.
Decay_666_
Be over in 30 :)
He turned on the shower then started picking through his pile of clothes finding the ones that smelled the least offensive. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d been this nervous and excited at the same time.
*****
Tomura shifted from one foot to the other, nervously scratching at the side of his neck. He caught himself before the skin there broke and he ended up having to deal with a bloody neck on top of already being a nervous wreck. He’d only been standing outside your apartment for a minute or two, but it felt like an eternity. He kept checking his phone to distract himself. Just as he was starting to question if this had been a good idea, the door flung open.
His eyes widened and his mouth turned into a thin line. You answered the door in a fucking towel. He began opening and closing his mouth like a fish that had been plucked from the water. You giggled innocently like it was perfectly normal to answer the door nearly naked.
“You’re here a little earlier than I expected! I just got out of the shower. Come on in,” you moved to the side to give him room to walk through the door into your small apartment. You were sure to not move completely out of the way so he’d have to almost brush against your chest. You could feel him stiffen and hold his breath as he passed by.
This was going to be so much fun…
*****
Tomura’s dick had been painfully hard the moment he’d seen you in that towel. Luckily, when you’d gone into your bedroom to get dressed, he was able to position it in his waistband so he wouldn’t be pitching a tent in front of you. The thought of you noticing him popping a boner just by looking at you in a towel was mortifying.
However, what you decided to change into didn’t help his situation. Your baby pink terry cloth shorts would have shown the curve of your ass had it not been for the little row of ruffles around the bottom. Your tank top, the same baby pink color as your shorts, was pulled tight across your chest (holy shit, were you not wearing a bra?!). A fleeting glance at your chest proved to Tomura that you definitely were not wearing a bra.
“You can come on back,” you beckoned from the doorway of your bedroom, “I thought we’d be more comfortable in here…”
He gulped and rubbed his sweaty palms on his jeans before nodding and rising to walk towards you. Your room was foreign to him. Decorated with all shades of pink and purple, soft, plush bedding, and a soft pink glow emanated from the LED strip lights that lined the walls. Tomura stood awkwardly, looking around for a chair to sit in when you flopped onto your bed and began pulling up the streaming app on your tv.
You looked up at him sweetly and patted the spot on the plush comforter next to you. “Come sit, Tomu! You don’t have to stand way over there. I don’t stink, ya know,” the wink you gave him made his knees buckle.
“Umm,” he chuckled nervously, “No, of course not. You, uhh… you smell…”
No, you were way too close. This was bad. There’s no way he would be able to string together a coherent thought, much less hold an actual conversation with you. You pout and lean in even closer to him.
“Tomuuuuu!” fuck, he hated that he loved that stupid nickname, “You think I smell?!”
“What?! N-no, not at all. I was trying to say that-”
Before he could finish his sentence, you tilted your head to the side offering up your neck for him to smell and he swears his eyes crossed as he tried to absorb what was happening.
“I even wore my new perfume! Go on, smell. Tell me what you think,” you smirk looking out of the corner of your eye.
Fuck.
You were teasing him, he knew you were, but his dick was so hard that he was completely at your mercy. He leaned in to take a tentative sniff and his eyes wandered lower. His breath hitched when he noticed the outline of your hardened nipples peeking through the thin material of your tank top. Before he knew what was happening, you turned your face forward and put your mouth next to his ear.
“Are you looking down my shirt, you pervert?” you purred. Tomura made some sort of incoherent noise and pulled away.
You laughed and pushed his shoulder playfully, “Geeze, I’m just kidding! You’re wound so tight.” you pause making a thoughtful face.
“Oh, I know how to help! Come on, over here,” you pulled him between your spread thighs and proceeded to rub his shoulders, working out all of the knots in his lean back.
After a few seconds, Tomura began to relax into your touch, slumping slightly and letting out a tiny sigh. He was deathly still the entire time you massaged him. He was terrified if he moved too much that his raging boner would free itself from his waistband. When your hands left his shoulders, he started to move away just to be pulled back into your lap. His head landed in your cleavage as your hands trailed down his chest.
“Hmm, so tense, Tomu,” you whispered into the crown of his hair, “Is my massage not working?”
He wanted to yell that of course he was tensed up. That his dick is the hardest it’s ever been in his life and if he doesn’t hold as still as possible, he’s scared he might start humping the air like a pathetic dog. Before he can answer, your hand trails down to the waistband of his jeans, and he freezes. The tips of your fingers brush across his leaking tip and Tomura lets out a low, needy moan before he can stop himself.
“Just what I thought,” you purred as you began to trail your fingers up and down the hard bulge in his jeans, “Pathetic. Look at you, so fucking hard for me. And all I did was rub your shoulders.” He wanted to defend himself, but all he could do was whine as his eyes rolled in the back of his head while you continued touching him through his jeans.
“And to think, I never thought you’d want anything to do with some fake bimbo like me. Because I only game and watch anime for attention, right?” you squeeze his cock through his jeans, causing him to yelp. “Well? What do you have to say for yourself, incel? Wanna tell me why your dick is this hard for me if I’m so annoying to you?”
The realization that Dabi had told you everything flitted through the back of his mind, but he didn’t have room in his brain right then to be mad at him. He had to do whatever he needed to do to keep you touching him.
“I, ahh... I’m s-sorry,” he stuttered pathetically. The front of his jeans was wet from your teasing and the denim was rubbing him raw through his thin boxers, “D-didn’t, fuck, didn’t mean it like… ahh, l-like th-that.”
You loved how easily you could wreck him. You pet his hair back from his sweaty brow as you cooed at him lovingly.
“You know,” you removed your hand from the front of his jeans and he whined from the lack of friction, “You really hurt my feelings, baby. I thought you were so cool and the whole time, behind my back, you said just mean things about me.”
He sat up and turned to face you. His pathetic, needy gaze shot straight to your core. The power you held made you drunk and you desperately wanted more.
“No, no no no…” he grabbed your hands and you realized how clammy they were, “I’m-I’m so sorry. Please! Please…”
“Hmm,” you studied him for a moment, “Well… There might be a way you could make me feel a little better.” you tucked a strand of hair behind his ear, “You were so mean to me.”
“Anything! Please! I-I’ll do anything for you!” desperation started creeping in, thinking you’d leave him hanging with no relief. Little did he know, you had no intention of letting him go any time soon. Your plush lips curled into a devious smile. A soft hand reached up cupping his jaw.
“What a good boy, Tomu,” a tremor passed through his body. You reached over to your nightstand and pulled out the collar you’d taken the selfie in.
“You know,” the collar danced between your painted nails, “This also came with a leash. I was thinking,” your lust-filled eyes meet his, “If you wanted to be a good boy for me… You’d let me see how pretty it looks around your neck.”
Tomura hesitated, his eyes rapidly moving between your eyes and the collar you held. After a moment of consideration, he nodded. You giggled and clapped your hands together excitedly leaping off the bed. You returned with a short, chain-link leash.
“Now,” you leaned in and fastened the collar around his neck. Your bodies were centimeters apart and Tomura thought he might pass out, “When you’re wearing your collar, you don’t call me Y/N,” you nudge his ear with your nose and whisper, “You call me ‘Mommy.’ Do you understand?” you feel him nod against your face.
“That’s not how good boys answer their Mommy. When you answer me, you say, ‘Yes Mommy’ or ‘No Mommy.’ Is that clear?”
“Y-yes… Mommy.”
“Mmm, what a good boy,” you placed a soft kiss on his neck and he let out the most delicious whimper. You hooked a finger through the ring on the front of the collar, “You’re gonna go sit in Mommy’s gaming chair and let her use you as a toy. Okay?”
Tomura’s head was spinning and he almost couldn’t answer until you jerked him by his collar, “Y-yes, Mommy. Please, please make me your toy.”
You stood and dragged him over to your chair and made him sit, “What a polite boy you are! Saying ‘please’ without being asked. If you keep that up, you just might get a reward,” his belt buckle rattled as you worked his jeans down his narrow hips.
A ragged breath escaped his chapped lips as you removed your tiny shorts revealing a black, lace thong. You straddled his lap, your dripping slit hovering a centimeter over the angry, leaking head of his cock. His hands shook as you placed them on your hips and slowly moved your thong to the side. Descending an inch at a time, only teasing his tip, was causing him to come undone underneath you.
“You’re already so close and I’ve only put the tip in. You better be a good boy and not come until I tell you to or you’re going to be punished,” you pushed another couple of inches inside and he nearly wept.
“I-I’m trying, M-mommy! I wanna be a good boy!”
“Mmm, I know, baby. You’re doing so,” another inch, “So…” and another, “Well.” you were fully seated on his cock now. Tomura knew he wouldn’t last. Your velvet walls were sucking him down harder than anything ever had before. It made his fleshlight feel like it was made of sandpaper. You had ruined him for anything else.
With a few rolls of your hips and some high, airy moans, he was about to bust. “Mommy! Mommy, please! I-I’m g-gonna…”
“Tomu,” your voice was authoritative now, “If you come in Mommy’s pussy, I’m going to make you clean it out with your tongue then I’m going to sit on your face until I come as many times as I want.” your hand wrapped around his throat and you started bouncing on his cock. Your filthy words and aggressive motions catapulted him into an orgasm.
“You bad, BAD boy,” a smack to his cheek broke off his moans, “You disobeyed me! Did you do that on purpose?” your hand around his neck flexes, “Are you just a dirty incel that wants Mommy to get mean with you? Answer, Tomu!”
“Yes, Mommy!”
“Tell Mommy what you are…”
“I-I’m a-a… dirty incel.”
“And what do you want?”
“W-want… want Mommy to b-be mean to me…”
You lift him by the collar and attach the leash. He’s thrown onto the bed and you waste no time hovering your dripping slit over his face.
“Now,” you jerk the leash, “Clean up your mess.”
Tomura knew he should be disgusted right now, but his dick was getting harder by the second. With each lick inside your sloppy hole, he shamelessly moaned against your skin. The vibrations were going straight to your clit, causing you to ride his face harder. This went on until you’d almost reached your peak.
“Oh, baby,” you’re making Mommy feel so, so good, “I-I’m gonna…”
Tomura grabbed your ass and moved you back and forth on his face as he sucked your clit into his mouth. Your orgasm hit hard and fast. You lifted your body giving him a moment to breathe before sitting back down, earning a startled mumble from him.
“Don’t think that’s all,” you laughed and humped his face, making his eyes roll into the back of his head, “Be a good boy and mommy might even let you come…”
Tomura only nodded as he began to eat you again like he was starved. Maybe all the stuff you posted in the Discord server wasn’t so annoying anymore...

got any cool coach oleander hcs?
Yeah! I’ve got a few-
Well for starters——I personally believe that Oleander as a little kid was a “slight bit more feminine” than most boys his age- Not like stereotypically “feminine” but like——“Girly” in a sense that meanwhile as some of his school friends were out playing baseball or socceror playing in the mud—-Lil Olly would stay behind, usually sticking out back behind the school or in his “meadow” picking flowers and playing with animals ( bunnies, hint, hint, ). And though these school boy friends wouldn’t “necessarily” bully him for it—-his dad wasn’t too keen about it- Considering that he appears to be more “old school” compared to other known dads in this series——Only wanting for his son to be as “manly” as him…..
Then this other one I have—Deals a bit more onto how he delved further into a state of “insanity..?”
So basically- Years had passed since he had left home, and failed many times to get into the military, when he had received the sudden news of his fathers death——his father, I see, had died of AIDS ( I know it’s specific- but trust me, for his time it does make a bit of sense??? ) Anyway—-Though Oleander had not really liked his father—-he still had at least one fond memory with him——to the point where though he was gone, and he sorta hated him——one side of him still did regret not being “enough” and wished his father was still alive in a sense so he could still attempt to prove himself to him——but alas…..not.
And one last one for the headcannons——I personally like, or not like cause it’s sad—-but, to believe that since we only see his father in his memory vaults and no sign at all of his mother—or even a mother like figure in his life—-I assume he was conceived via one night stand- between Butcher and some random woman from a club of some kind—-The reason that lil Oleander ended up with his father though- was because of the fact that his mother just probably didn’t want him at all- or it could’ve been that she just wasn’t capable of taking care of a baby at this time in her life—-And so, she searched for Butcher, or maybe he even knew about it??? And gave him their son, being Oleander—-From there on out—-Oleander was raised by his single father in a, “slightly better” living condition——-
So yeah! That’s about it!
( Yeesh—-Those we’re pretty sad but that’s all I could think about him for the moment sooo——yeah——)
Thank you for asking!

The Marriage Project (3)
Anddddd I’m back with this bby. Sorry I’ve been slowing down some of my content. Last Friday I had to deal with family health matters on top of schoolwork and a sorority function I had to be at. Anyways.
High school AU. Tom Holland. Yeah.
Story Masterlist
Warnings: mild language
Rating: Between T and M
Word Count: 2351
% approximately the 3rd week of September %
You’d had two away volleyball games that week and Tom had an away football game, so by Saturday you were exhausted. Your Friday game hadn’t been too far, but the football team had traveled a decent distance, so you figured they’d gotten home late.
You still showed up at Tom’s on time, though, as planned the day before.
Nikki opened the door at your arrival.
“Oh, hey, y/n! Come on in!”
You returned her greeting and entered, looking around expectantly.
“If you’re looking for Tom, he’s not up yet. They got home pretty late last night.”
“I figured that would be the case.”
You noticed that on the dining room table were a few grocery bags.
“Oh, do you need help with those? I can wait on Tom,” you offered.
“No don’t worry about those bags, but if you’re looking to do something, I was about to make some apple pies for a get together tomorrow. I’d love your help.”
You agreed and followed her into the kitchen. After peeling and chopping apples for a few minutes, someone else walked into the kitchen.
“Well who’s this? I don’t remember having a daughter,” Tom’s dad said. You turned to look at him and smile, then continued cutting fruit.
“Oh Dominic you know y/n. She’s the one Tom’s always talking about, competing and whatnot. They’re doing that marriage project together.”
Your face heated up so you continued to look down at the apple.
He talks about me? Like how much he hates me or what?
“Yes of course, how could I forget? You’re one of the best soccer players I’ve seen! Good to see you again,” he said.
“Nice seeing you, too, Mr. Holland.”
“Please, call me Dom. Now how come you’re down here and not with Tom?”
“I was waiting for him to get up. Plus, Nikki promised me a slice,” you grinned.
“Well I’d definitely call that a fair trade. Nikki’s pies are the best in the world,” he turned to his wife, “I’ll be back in a bit. I’m meeting with the publisher today.”
“Good luck, honey. I’m sure you’ll be great,” Nikki encouraged, giving her husband a quick peck.
“Thanks, dear. Once again, it was nice seeing you, y/n. Feel free to come make desserts here any time,” he joked and you just laughed and waved.
A few minutes after he’d left, Nikki spoke up again.
“You know, y/n. I’m glad you and Tom were paired up for this project. I’ve really liked having you around the past few weeks, and it seems like Tom has learned a lot from you. I mean, He even went out and bought some pads and tampons and things for his bathroom this week.”
Now your face really burned.
“He did?”
“Yeah. He said he’d better be safe than sorry. I’m glad you two look out for each other like that, even if you are rivals. By the way, I made sure he didn’t get the cardboard ones,” she added. With that, you fell into rhythmic silence.
Not long after, you heard footsteps coming down the stairs. From the hall, Tom’s voice called out.
“Mom? It’s almost 2. Have you heard anything from-” he walked through the kitchen door. “Oh. You’re here. What are you doing?”
You grabbed a towel to wipe off your hands as you turned to face him.
“I got here at 1 but felt bad about you getting home late so I’ve just been helping your mom make pie. She promised me a slice.”
“You’re really gonna give her some mom? She doesn’t even deserve to see how they’re made!”
“Oh Tom I swear. Y/n is a nice girl, just get over yourself. But, if you two want to go get to work I think I’ve got it handled from here. I’ll bring you both some when the first one’s done.”
You grabbed your bag and headed up behind Tom and got to work quickly. Eventually you took a break when Nikki brought up pie and ice cream as promised with a couple waters.
You ate in silence, Tom leaned against his bed and you against the wall across from him, when something she had said earlier popped into your head.
“Hey, Tom?”
“Yeah princess?” he replied, not looking up. You rolled your eyes and continued.
“Your mom said something earlier that I wanted to ask about.”
“If she told you anything incriminating it’s not true.”
“Suuuureeee. Anyways, she said you, uh, stocked up your cabinet in the bathroom. That’s really cool of you.”
“Yeah, well, can’t have you bleeding everywhere now can we? But, em. Yeah. The fact that you were so panicked over something that seems so trivial spoke pretty loud. I thought it’s better to just stay safe.”
You sat in silence for a little bit, just eating.
“Mind if I ask you something?” he said.
“Shoot.”
“What does it feel like? You know? They don’t mention that stuff in health articles.”
You contemplated for a little bit before answering.
“Well… like I said before, it’s different for everyone, but I’ll try my best. Cramps are kinda like being scratched and punched from the inside all at once. Freebleeding just feels like… wet and sticky. I find it disgusting so I wear mostly tampons.”
“Interesting. Thanks, princess.”
Once finishing off your snack, you got back to work. By the time you were done, it was almost 4.
“See you Monday, y/n”
“Yep. Oh, by the way, I have a small volleyball tournament next weekend so I can’t do Saturday. Is Sunday okay or do you wanna get together another day?”
“Can you do Thursday? We just have morning workouts that day.”
“Yeah I have practice last period so I’ll just shower and meet you in the parking lot? We can go to my place.”
“Can’t. I have to take the boys home.”
“If you want, you can take them home and I’ll pick you up. It’ll give me time to shower and change and then we can just carpool.”
“I don’t know. Sure you even know how to drive?”
“I’ll have you know I passed that test with flying colors sophomore year.”
Eventually he agreed and with that you were back out the door, giving one final thanks to Nikki.
%
By Wednesday you and Tom had finished your little quilt and Mrs. Flynn loved it.
You and Tom obviously didn’t play when it came to grades, even if it was home economics.
Thursday, you were leaving your last class before practice and reminded Tom you were picking him up that afternoon, to which his friends looked at him funny and kinda messed with him.
“Yeah, yeah, whatever.”
When you pulled up into his driveway after school, he plopped into the passenger's seat and held out a foil-wrapped object in his left hand.
“What is that?” you asked.
“My mom wanted you to have it. She made bread.”
“Oh. Well thanks. I’ll have to thank her for it next time I see her. You can just set it in the back seat for now.”
You drove back to your place, pulling into the garage and leading Tom through the door. Your parents were still at work, so you told Tom you’d just work in the living room.
“I don’t want them to say anything weird about us being home alone in my room,” you explained.
You sat on the floor quietly typing when you remembered something.
“Hey, how did you do on the calc test?”
“95. You?”
“Damn. 94. I’ll make a comeback next time,” you joked, earning an eye roll.
After a half hour, your mom came home.
“Hey honey, how was your day? Did you beat Tom in whatever you were competing with him in today?” she asked, part joking since she knew of your rivalry well.
“It was fine, and mom. We have a guest, remember?” you said through gritted teeth.
She looked over the couch, where she found Tom waving at her awkwardly.
“Oh. Hi there. I forgot you were coming over today. So sorry about that.”
“No worries, Mrs. y/l/n. I beat her by a point today so it evens out,” he joked. You were annoyed at his banter with your mom and cut it off.
“Okay, well, Tom. Let’s go finish this in my room now that my mom’s home,” you said, getting everything and carrying it to the bedroom.
You tossed your bag and papers on the floor and quickly picked up some random things laying around, such as a pair of volleyball shoes and stray athletic socks. You especially rushed to snatch a rogue lace bra.
From the corner of your eye, you could see Tom standing still, looking around the room like you had the first time at his house.
Your walls were light grey but covered in your paintings and other art. One shelf mounted to a wall held all of your ribbons and trophies from sports, quiz bowl, and art fairs. Your bedspread was baby pink and sheets light yellow, and the same pink was strewn around the room in the form of desk accents and other blankets. You had a large plush cat resting near your pillows.
“Wow. So you’re like… a real girl. Huh.” he stated flatly. You stood up from tossing everything into your closet.
“What the hell is that supposed to mean?”
“Well, like, you’re all tough and smart and sporty but you have pink everywhere and a stuffed animal on your bed.”
“You do realize women are complex creatures right? Considering we’re human and all?”
“Yeah, of course. I guess I’ve just never seen this side of you. I shouldn’t have worded it that way. Sorry.”
It surprised you to hear Tom apologize over something so small. Usually he would stand his ground, wave you off, or just move on.
“It’s fine. I just hate when people stereotype, you know? Like I can love science, art, sports, pink, sweatpants, and skirts all at the same time. And I do. And I’m not trying to sound like the ‘I’m not like other girls’ girl, because I am a girl, but I’m more than just one side or the other.”
“So why do you hide the ‘typically girly’ stuff? I’ve never seen you at school wearing a pink dress and makeup. I mean even at dances you always wear dark colors and at parties I don’t think I’ve ever seen you in something other than jeans or shorts.”
You shrugged as you made your way onto the floor next to your computer, Tom following suit.
“I guess I try to stick to one aesthetic. I mean, it already seems to shock the administration that I’m good at and enjoy doing two sports, art, and honors stuff. I don’t think they could handle another layer of me,” you chuckled. “Isn’t there anything you hide?”
He thought about it for a few seconds, leaning his head against the wall.
“Well, I guess you know this now, but I like Spider-Man.”
“Yeah, but it’s considered normal for guys to like comic book characters. When I tell people I like Spider-Man, they just assume I have a crush on the actor. Come on, there has to be something you don’t show off at school.”
“Okay fine. I’ve got a couple. One, I actually like to cook. A lot. It almost kills me to be partnered up with the guys sometimes because they’re so clueless in the kitchen. And two, I love dance. I did it for a bit as a kid but got embarrassed and decided to go the normal sports route. I still go to the Nutcracker every year, though.”
You found yourself smiling at his honesty.
“Really? You know my mom put me in little kid ballet classes for a while, but I was really disruptive in class because I had too much energy, so I got into other sports instead. Has the football team never done a ballet class? I know some schools make them.”
“One summer. Maybe two years ago? We were doing a team building thing and they made us take one. I couldn’t make myself pretend to be bad so I just let everyone believe I was a natural talent,” he laughed, causing you to do the same. “You should’ve seen those guys. That’s probably one of my best football memories.”
You both sit in comfortable silence for a while. You couldn’t remember a time that you both were open to each other without the slightest bit of tension.
After a few more moments, you both got back to work.
%
You didn’t realize that it was past 5 o’clock until your mother was at your doorway telling you dinner was ready.
“Feel free to stay. We’d love to have you for dinner, Tom,” she offered, then went back to the kitchen.
“Do you mind? I can just walk home if not.”
“Just stay, man. What’s one dinner? I’d feel at least somewhat bad to make you walk all the way home. We’re done for the week anyways, so I’ll just drive you after we eat.”
You led him to the kitchen, where your mom had cooked some ravioli and tossed a salad. You built your plates and thanked your mom, then sat at the dining room table.
You ate in awkward silence since your parents were in the living room. Your dad had greeted you and Tom when he came home from work, not really realizing who Tom was.
Once your plates were practically cleaned, you cleared the table and took Tom home.
“Thanks again for dinner and driving me. Good luck this weekend.”
Who is this guy and where did he take Tom? He never wishes me luck.
“Yeah no problem. Thank your mom for the bread. And good luck on your game tomorrow, too. I hear it’s gonna be a tough one.”
”They just haven’t met me yet,” he joked, then got out of the car and headed to the door. He tossed one last wave back as you pulled away.

.:Asks Referring to Previous non-Miraculous Posts:.

Hi! I saw you mention that you have Asperger’s syndrome in an earlier post. I’m just wondering, how did you find out? I’ve always thought I was neurodivergent (adhd and maybe asperger’s), but I’m not quite sure how to go about finding out, and my parents never had me screened as a kid. Feel free to ignore if this is too personal!
(the post this anon is referring to)
It’s not too personal, don’t worry!
Though, I would really say that it’s something to look up more than for someone to tell you. I know that’s not a satisfying answer but I think it’s different depending on where you live and what specialists you have near you.

Remarried Empress Anon Again, thank you for answering my asks and for reading Remarried Empress! I honestly didn’t expect much to come of it but the fact you read the comic and saw what I was talking and came to your own conclusions was amazing! I’m sorry if I’m bothering you by bombarding you with asks, and will try to stop doing so. Heck, this doesn’t have to be answered! Just know you are a fun creator and thank you for making my day a little better with your amazing responses!
You weren’t bothering me at all! I’m glad I brightened your day!

I don't know how big the trend of "Magical Girls are made to suffer" is, but after watching Madoka Magica I did notice a few Magical Girl shows where the creators obviously went "Hey, this anime where the Magical Girls suffer and it's all angsty made Shaft a lot of money, let's do our own", and "subversive=money". (Even though many have pointed out that MM isn't actually subversive, since older MG shows have dealt with dark themes plenty of times.)
Yeah, it’s probably one of those inevitable things. People immediately jump on wherever the money’s going.
Madoka Magica probably got so much attention specifically because of the episode three shock value.and all the twisted imagery, plus things like Kyubey with bullet holes all over him made it seem like, “WHOA, DARK.”

Remember when I told you about the teenage-bashing in the Star Vs. Fandom? Well, rewatching the show, I'm beginning to think that most of the time, when people in a certain fandom have these opinions, more often than not, the show backs it up for whatever reason. Like, there's one scene where Eclipsa is put on trial and is asked if she's ever eaten any babies(which is just a rumor), and she says no but that she has eaten a few teenagers but, psychologically, they always deserved it.
And in another episode, Star says that teenagers are great at causing problems, which I at first laughed off as a joke, but then in another, Tom and Star were talking about how they broke up, and Star said "Of course we broke up! That's what people do! That's what teenagers do! Teenagers are dumb!" And Tom was just like "Yeah, I know, I know"; there are a lot more examples but I don't care to revisit them. I'm just saying that the teen-hating in the fandom would have to have come from somewhere.
omg I don’t remember that stuff at all; I guess it just blew right past me when I was initially watching it.
I don’t understand the trend of being like, “teenagers are dumb and that’s what they do,” and then either over-punishing or not punishing at all. Are we supposed to believe that all teenagers are just going to “be teenagers” and so we shouldn’t do anything, or that they’re all idiots who don’t understand their own feelings but we should also punish them for it?
I don’t get it.

I'm the "tomboys in anime" anon, and yes, I totally agree! It especially irks me(as a girly girl who has a lot to say) when the shortcut to making a girl tomboyish is simply by making her loud/tough/like gaming or machinery, or when a female character is told she isn't enough of a girl because she's like that, but otherwise doesn't look or even act all that "boyish". Even TV Tropes does it, as if the second a girl shows any proactivity or is tough she's a "tomboy".
It really annoys me and almost makes me want to erase the term "tomboy" altogether since it leads to an idea of "I'm not like other girls, I'm better 'cause I do boy stuff"(which I know not every tomboy thinks, but some do). The only reason I don't is because I very proudly embrace the term "girly girl" and terms are meaningless without an opposite(not that you can't like both girly and tomboyish things). So I think the key to fixing this problem is that we shouldn't label people unless they want to be labeled that way.
And I know fictional characters can't speak for themselves, so just to figure out if a female character is a tomboy, I just say that if her only "tomboyish" traits are "proactive" qualities or liking something that's for guys, just don't call them a tomboy because it looks ridiculous and acts like women are inherently passive and weak, so for a girl not to be like that is acting like a man.
I would love to see a tomboy character who likes those things but is actually shy/a wallflower. That avoids the stereotype of "aggressive, hard-hitting tomboy, weak-willed, shallow girly girl" and challenges audiences expectations that "but but but she's a tomboy so she should be loud and strong because strength is for MEN". I also hate when tomboy characters are given no curves because the writers know they're doing something wrong, tomboys can have natural curves too. It's like they think tomboys just don't want to be girls. So, yeah. So over the "tomboy in-name-only" stereotype.
"it makes me feel weird saying that when I’m all for girl power shows with an all female cast, but in this show’s logic, it’s a different ball game". Oh, phew! That's good. Because, like I said before, I'm working on my own magical girl show in which most of the female characters are(black) girls and only girls can use magic in this world, and someone I know keeps telling me that it's not fair that the guys don't get to have magic, so it's good to know that there's someone out there who doesn't think it's "sexist" that magical girls tend to only let girls have powers(unless it's for fanservice or like in Madoka Magica because ick). Because guys get to be in the forefront all too often, so why is it so bad when girls get to be in the spotlight? I know I can't change everyone's opinions but it's good to know someone gets it.
(the post this anon is referring to)
Honestly, I feel like the fact that there’s a label at all is the issue, like you suggested? It might just be a “we have to get ride of the label ‘tomboy’ and ‘girly girl’ altogether” thing, because it’s not like we do the same thing with guys?
Oh wait, we do; guys who do “girly” things are called “sissies.”
I hate this planet. :P
Point being, having to say “tomboy” inherently implies something, which might be a problem all on its own, y’know?
(the below ask is incomplete but the asker clarified after I asked them, so clarification is below:)
Anonymous said:
I just thought back to our little "tomboys in anime" argument and about how you can't really think of any tomboys. So I looked up "tomboys in anime" on Google and clicked on the first link, and literally the first character on the list was a girl with...a flower in her hair and a bikini. The reason she was a "tomboy" according to the list? Was because she is "aggressive" and "competitive". In fact, most of the examples on the list were "she's tough/a good fighter/challenges male supremacy".
(part of this ask is missing and clarified below)
girly girls, while the girly girls always have to be the weak and shy ones(not that shy=weak but you get the idea). But while I may not know most of the characters on the list, and some of them DID look pretty tomboyish, I'm very bothered by the idea that it's their strength and ambition and excellent fighting skills that are branded as masculine. And you know what? I'd actually be offended if someone called me a tomboy, especially if it was based of these reasonings. Because it sounds like they think being a tomboy is the only way to be strong and vice versa. Like I should take it as a compliment that I need to be separated from my femininity in order to be respected. Like, if you're a tomboy, cool! But it shouldn't be used for just any girl who isn't a weak-willed crybaby doormat. I actually don't know why people seem to think being a tomboy or "masculine" for a girl is some sort of badge of honor to wear with pride for rejecting your femininity and being "cooler" than other girls.
the clarification:
Anonymous said:
The missing part was talking about the various tropes having to do with contrasting masculinity/femininity, either in two different characters, with one being masculine and one being feminine(ex. Tomboy and Girly Girl, Sensitive Guy and Manly Man, Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy, Masculine-Feminine Gay Couple), or one character who has traits of both(ex. Girly Girl With a Tomboy Streak, Tomboy With a Girly Streak, Real Men Wear Pink), and how TV Tropes always talks about them as if the "girly" character(or girly side of the character) is weaker or inferior(like how for Tomboy and Girly Girl they might say that the former is tough, competitive, and can fight, while the latter is vain, a priss, and a Damsel in Distress.
Or for Tomboy With a Girly Streak, they might say that the tomboy dresses in a masculine way with their "girly" streak being that they're a doormat or dream of being a housewife. Not that it's wrong to be a housewife.).
To be fair, they don't always do this: For the pages on Magical Girl they talk about how those shows can appeal to multiple demographics, and almost all the quotes on them, they talk about how they're empowered through their femininity and are just as much legitimate threats to their opponents as other heroes. Still, they fall in this trap even then, as on the LoliRock Awesome page, they say "You gotta admit, for a Magical Girl show, LoliRock does have its awesome moments", which ignores that Magical Girl is SUPPOSED to have awesome moments, it's literally an action subgenre! Just because it's frilly and pink and girly doesn't mean it doesn't--or shouldn't--still have badass fight scenes. Just look at PreCure. Shonen should take notes from those shows. But no, whoever wrote that clearly dismissed it as just frivolous and was SURPRISED that the fight scenes were good, just because it's girly!
It’s 2021 and people are still struggling with this concept that girliness isn’t bad and it’s not embarrassing to watch such a show.because GIRLS.
It’s so tiring. I watched Dragonball Z, Inuyasha, and played Pokemon; got a few looks about it at times but people ultimately were like, “okay I guess” (I did get bullied for the Pokemon one but that was more for the “it’s for babies” kind of deal, not a “you can’t like that because you’re a girl,” thing). I can’t really relate to the world of girls who get looked down upon for being “girly” but that doesn’t mean I don’t understand that it must be awful for them.
Don’t even get me started on “Tomboy Lesbian,” I will scream about it and it won’t be happy screaming.

I saw that u are in the mood for playlist matchups. Well i am a kyotani stan rn. I love the opposites attract trope which is why i love Kyo. Im very talkative and playful ish. I listen to most genres but I usually like jrock or alternative rnb. But yeah i would love a music matchup! Oh yeah if ur down, i would like to make u one too? If ur okay w it lol.
HI GIRLY ( @bold-yet-wholesome ) ok im being 100% when i say i havent really fully paid like attention to kyotani yknow? like i don’t ignore him but i’ve never done that mental character analysis so i studied up a little bit for this one LOL
when you two first met you kind of had the vibe he and oikawa had LMAOOO. like you were all up disrespecting his “edgy demeanor”. you would not have it. like ok bitch be gloomy and broody all you want but imma make ur ugly ass laugh😒🙄
he’s not really the stereotypical ‘brash on the outside to hide the stuff on the inside’ kinda guy in my opinion. he is honestly an asshole. like straight up just does not care because he doesn’t think he needs to but that doesn’t mean he never cares about people. and you’re one of them. ofc he can be easy going, because no one is ever really just angry, he just comes off blunt. his diligence often comes off as arrogance, and you help him keep it in check a lot of the time.
opposites definitely attract in this vibe no doubt no DOUBT. he does care about you like for sure, he’s just not really the hi baby🥺🥺 kinda guy
damn i went on for a long time oKAY heres the playlist i tried to pick songs i think he would listen to whether it was ironic or unironic, and i think this would b a playlist that neither of you really made, they were just songs that reoccurred in your life:D i’m gonna link the playlist and then list the songs incase you don’t have spotify!
1. dead man walking- brent faiyaz
2. stacys mom- fountains of wayne
3. smoke you out- teddy hyde
4. achilles come down- gang of youths
5. pinky + white- frank ocean
6. little pistol- mother mother
7. touch off- UVERworld
8. meadows in japan- serena isioma
9. MAD DOG- NCT 127
10. clint eastwood- gorillaz
11. take a slice- glass animals
12. sensitive- serena isioma
13. dear maria, count me in- all time low
14. i really love you- gibbz
15. HIT EM WHERE IT HURTS- pawpaw rod
if you want to know the reason i put those songs pls message me!! i’d be happy to tell u!! the answers on this one might not be that deep tho:/ BUT, i hope you like it! it’s mostly got that nice flowy rnb feel but it’s stuff i think you and kyotani could definitely listen to together:)) thank you for participating <3

Okay, so here's the story: I'll be doing movie reviews on my top 10 favorite movies and promoting them and why I think they need more love. "One Stormy Night/Arashi No Yoru Ni" is a big one and will change your life, that's how inspirational and powerful it is of a movie... and it's for family audience as well. However, I'm watching the English dub, which is technically a fandub. It's more well done, and I can't watch a movie with subtitles. The voices though... amazing! Even my grandma liked it the first time she watched it.
One stormy night has everything: The strong female character we all crave for (Mei's mother) who sacrifices herself for her baby, the overprotective grandmother (Mei's grandma), the goofy sidekick who is full of himself (Tapper) and the cute girly sidekick who kind of enjoys attention (Mina), a bad*** villain (Giro), the villain's slightly more lovable sidekick who speaks with British accent (Barry), the two screwups who can't do anything right (Zack and Beach) and our two underdogs who are different from the rest of their groups (Mei and Gabu). Mei is a sheep/goat (it's an English dub idk what he is exactly) who is not the stereotype of how a sheep should be. Mei is fearless, carefree, and outgoing. Gabu is also different from his pack. Gabu's sensitive, goofy, and not tough like the other wolves. Just by the descriptions of the characters, I think you canmake out which one suits you and which one you can relate to. If you have questions, FEEL FREE TO ASK ME!
The other movies I will be doing reviews of;
1.Barnyard/Back at the Barnyard (Nickelodeon)
2.Sheep and Wolves (WizArt)
3.Wolfwalkers (Cartoon Salloon)
4.Rock Dog (Mandoo Pictures)
5.Duck Duck Goose (Netflix and Origin Pictures)
6.Chicken Run (DreamWorks, Aardman, and Pathé)
7. Storks (Warner Bros)
8. Rio and Rio 2 (BlueSky and 20th century fox)
and finally at 9. One Stormy Night/Arashi No Yoru Ni (TBS and Studio Chizu)
and at Halloween I'll do a stream on Discord where I'll watch 4 Halloween-themed kids/family movies in a row
I plan for next year at Easter time. I'll start watching more movies with sheep but things happened that changed my life forever and now next year will start. Next year at Father's day, I'll be reviewing Duck Duck Goose so that means you got to wait a LOOOONG time for the One Stormy Night review. Those of you who watched One stormy night, let me know you're favorite character in the comments. I don't know if you know me already but you'll know I LOVE Gabu! ^u^ Gabu is one of my favorite anime characters of all time. I think he's so cute and funny. I love the movie's character designs, especially for him. His voice in the dubbed version is also really good too. Tustin Macafee did a great job on every character he voiced! I fell in love with Gabu!
Now I know the dubbed version is TECHINCALLY A FANDUB but I don't care. It's not fully a fandub, since they got permission from the companies that made One Stormy Night/Arashi No Yoru Ni, and had the funding to dub it over. It's not like a normal fandub. I can't watch a movie with subtitles, too distracting. If you're an easily distracted person like me, I recommend the dubbed version, and even if you're not I still recommend it. I was so shocked that one man could voice like 20 characters! If you know who Tustin Gilmer Macafee is, let him know what an amazing job he did and why isn't he voicing characters in movies/cartoons and stuff?
Another thing; One Stormy Night is mostly a family movie. I wouldn't consider it a kids movie, but I will say it's for family audiences. There's a difference between "kids movie" and "family movie". I would rate One Stormy Night as PG. Although, it does have some intensity in some scenes, I think mostly kids can handle it. It moves slow. I wouldn't put it on for a group of 2-5 year olds, though. Also, if you have a disability such as autism and are easily upset I don't think there's a lot that might upset someone like that, but I'd still be cautious. There's some violence, no real blood though. There is a LITTLE WEE BIT of blood.... but not a lot. I think it's mostly a cute movie though. It's only that first scene that's a little touchy. There are also a few minor swear words, not real bad swear words but they say "Hell" the wrong way and use the word "Bastard". I'm sure there's Disney movies that used those words, too, it's not like real bad swear words. It's not like street swear words like the F word and stuff. I recommend this movie to everyone in the world because of how powerful the message is but I know in reality that everyone in the world can not watch everything. My cousin is 9 and she is very sensitive and innocent, I think the movie is fine if you cut out the first scene and told her what happened. However, most 9 year olds I think could handle everything in the movie and I think more parents should let their children who are old enough to watch it. It's long and slow moving, not really the best thing for a group of preschoolers, though. I wouldn't have the newborn baby watch it either, they don't know what the heck is going on.
If you're looking for another option, and you have a bunch of little kids, the show is an option. They made a terrible adaptation, yet it's also amazing. I love the show but I hate the fact that they made Mei and girl and changed their designs... and the worst betrayal... Barry doesn't speak with British accent! 0_0 This can't be I can't listen to him and think that's Barry that's not Barry! (Just kidding, but the voices for the other characters in the show are very unfitting) I believe the show for One Stormy Night was meant for preschoolers, and even though it's a Japanese show, it reminds me a lot of western kids shows made for that age group. The animation reminds me a lot of Miss Spider Sunny Patch Friends and the voice acting is spot on! Jack Merluzzi makes a great Gabu. I don't love him like Tustin's Gabu, but Jack does a good job and makes Gaby always sound enthusiastic. The names are also different from the show, too! Baru=Barry, Mii=Mina, Tappy=Tapper
If you have questions, tell me in the comments

Hey muffin, quite a curious query for ya. What are your favorite girls for each category? Like Fire, Water, Grass, etc.
I went with MR originals for this one! So no PMMM girls or spinoffs.
Flame: I’ll have to go with Tsuruno on this, but even more specifically Uwasa Tsuruno. UwaTsu’s magical girl story, especially the third episode, hit me kind of hard. It was so surreal but also kind of relatable from, uh, the time I had a mental breakdown myself. The strength of Tsuruno’s character is that she feels very much like a character who who displays everything on the surface but... she’s not. She wants things to go right so badly, she’ll sacrifice herself on an altar to it. I have a soft spot for characters who try to be what everyone needs while chipping away at themselves on the inside, and I’m glad she got a whole arc devoted to that. I wish the game played with it more sometimes.
Also, I like her gameplay. She’s a pretty solid fire unit tbh-- and to make sure, I don’t mean she’s the best fire unit out there, but that she can fill many different roles. She might be magia type, but you can play her as a blast girl if needed. Her magia animation is also really cool; I get goosebumps when I see the flames fan out from her in a circle.
Aqua: Um... Maybe Meiyui? TBH none of the aqua girls are really my favorites. I have a bunch of them I like for sure, but not really a favorite? Well, Sunao (JP) seems interesting to me, even though I don’t know too much about her just yet. She kind of has a Sailor Neptune vibe to her with the whole salt looks like sugar thing, and I can vibe with that.
Forest: Mito is too precious for this world and I love her. I love how the game makes her innocent without making her naive. I think her power is one of my favorites in the entire game, nay, in any single story ever written by man-- COMMUNICATION. “See You Tomorrow” is prob one of my favorite events storywise, and it’s def one of the events I can most easily see being made into a spinoff manga. But back to it, Mito is very intelligent and I love that she tried her power out on Kyubey when she could. I also really love that her intelligence links to her emotional intelligence... Just solid.
Dark: Hmmm. I think Emiri? You know, I REALLY didn’t think I’d like her at first. Her design looked stereotypical, and then I saw the her memoria which was just like... shoes, and all I could think was “oh lord here we go.” But nah! Emiri is more than that. In fact, she kind of reminds me of Mito but in a different way. Emiri is super perceptive and cares about others-- but somehow, she does this while still having a focus on herself. She’s very confident and I love that she’s this super femme-fashion girl but she’s still super supportive of others. I also really like her animations. She’s the kind of character I wish I had as a friend when I was a baby muffin (a mini muffin as it were).
Light: Man, there are so many good characters in light. I really love Kokoro and Shizuku; they’re both great characters. Buuut I have to go with my girl Masara. She comes across as the “unfulfilled” aspect of depression to me, and I enjoy seeing her interact with others. I also really like her gameplay and wish she was uncapped. Her disks are kind of eh, but it also makes her feel like a one-hit powerhouse. I mean, she has higher attack stats than some 5* do!
Void: I’m including this category because why not, even though there are so few void girls out there-- but I love Yozuru! She REALLY reminds me of Sailor Uranus/Haruka Tenoh from Sailor Moon, more in design than personality, but I also love her wish and backstory. I wish there were more androgynous or butch girls in this game that didn’t have the caveat of “oh but they’re actually super girly inside.”

Since you’re down for matchups, I’d like to request one ! (A3!) I’m a 22 year old Virgo. I love music, makeup, coffee and sims. I love trying new restaurants/cafes with my friends when I’m able to. I’m VERY much an introvert. I’m very girly and feminine. I have long brown hair and brown eyes. I’m only 5’ and overall petite. My favorite artists right now are Ariana and Melanie. I LOVE PASTELS. Ummm I think that’s it, thanks !! 🤍💜🤍💜
your taste is immaculate, i’ve never had anything better in my life- but oui! sorry for the delay but here it is!

I Ship You with Omi!
- Okay so,,, this one actually took a lot of time in my head;;
- My two main contestants were Omi and Kazunari;;
- The relationships with each one would be so different but like I was sold for Omi the more I thought about it.
- Not that a relationship with Kazu wouldn’t work but… come on Omi would yeet himself off a window of you so much asked him like you’re his type to a T man.
- You two have being introverts in common and there’s something about your love for trying out new restaurants seems like an activity Omi would probably love to indulge with you~
- Be prepared for him to complain if you say you like a restaurant too much though,,, but he’ll do his best to try and learn the recipes for you!
- Since Omi is also an introvert he wouldn’t mind your nature, if anything he’d enjoy being able to stay home with you and be able to accompany you in simple activities and a calmer lifestyle (a privilege he can’t normally partake in when he’s at the dorm).
- Now my favorite part is the height difference; at first he never really paid much mind to the fact you were so much shorter than him until you attempted to borrow one of his shirts.
- He really tries to understand you’re not also a 6’2 godzilla.
- He fails sometimes though;;
- Kind of finds your difference in styles nice, he’s got the stereotypical ranch-Kyle style going and the fact you’re girly and feminine makes him soft.
- He calls you doll or dolly because you remind him of dolls.
- He finds Ariana and Melaine’s music very cool and fitting of you, he will begin to sing their stuff while cooking.
- Omi would really like Melanie’s stuff (he finds her voice soothing baby doesn’t get all the lyrics until you show him the translations and he’s doing his ”O-O?”), he keeps it a secret from the guys especially Itaru and Banri, but would 100% watch K-12 with you if you asked him.
- Loves sewing you little trinkets or knitting you scarfs in your favorite colors to make sure they fit your outfits and stuff.
- Loves knitting lace and felt animals for you and making you stuff you will have to stop him because you’re room is filled with so much stuff Omi makes you it’s so sweet it’ll make you puke please stop-
- Overall… please marry Omi and adopt Muku and me thanks.

how I figured out I was trans
TW for self harm mention (not graphic)
————————
I haven’t known I was trans for my whole life.
When I was little, I liked dressing up in dresses and wearing heels, playing princess and house, looking after baby dolls and so many other stereotypical “girly things”.
I found out I was LGBT when I was in seventh grade. Around that time, I had started to become interested in the LGBT community on tumblr, and I knew I wasn’t straight. I liked girls and boys (and aliens). So, I figured I was a pansexual cis girl. But being cis didn’t feel right. I didn’t feel like an actual girl, and I never related to other girls with their experiences. I figured I was just gender fluid, right? I’m a girl because I like to wear makeup and dresses, but I’m also a boy because I can’t relate to girls.
Then I got an app called Paper 53.
I’ve always been a creative person. I draw, paint, song, dance, act; you name it, I do it. So I drew on paper 53. They came out with a social media platform called “Mix” where you could share and “remix” other people’s art by altering it. We were close knit, us og mixers. I started going by the name Jake on mix. It felt right. I felt I wasn’t hiding who I was to my friends! They all thought I was a boy, and it felt okay! That was the first step in my discovery of myself as a trans man.
Another thing that made me realize I wasn’t remotely a girl was fandom, surprisingly. I was a fan of a ton of shows and anime’s, and I blogged about them constantly. I had so many favorite characters, but they all had one thing in common: they were all male. Weird, I thought, you would think that being born a girl would let me sympathize with characters of my same sex, but it didn’t. I liked male characters because they reminded me of myself. I started going by the label demiboy. I told my friends, and they called me jake, and used they/them pronouns when we were outside of school. Then came my last year of middle school.
People were relentless. They asked me why my name was different on Instagram or on Snapchat. Why did I want to be a boy? Everyone seemed weirded out by me being open and out, so I inverted. The only place I had was with my friends and mix. I was weird, creepy, gross. My peers laughed at me and ostracized me and my friends. Turns out, all my friends were basically LGBT, so we were in solidarity to each other. I also hated my body. I only wore leggings and an oversized sweatshirt. I cut my hair short and stopped playing with makeup. But I was still a girl I’m my peers eyes.
I didn’t want to give up the feminine side of me. I LIKED wearing cute dresses, I LIKED putting on makeup and jewelry. I just wasn’t a girl! I didn’t understand, why couldn’t I have just been born a boy!
I wore a dress to my middle school graduation.
Then, we had a graduation party. I didn’t want to get in the pool because I didn’t want to change in front of anyone and have people look at my feminine body. I eventually gave in though, donning an unflattering one peice that compressed my chest. Then the worst thing possible happened. “Come on! Jump in the water, jake!”
Someone had outed me. It was a boy who I was only acquaintances with. Everyone stared at me. I felt like a freak. I just jumped in so they would stop staring. I was furious. My carefully kept secret was exposed to the whole class. I got out and changed back into my clothes, trying not to cry from anger. The one thing that made me feel better was my best friend chewing out that guy.
Freshman year was supposed to be a new start. It wasn’t. I was trans and in hiding. My only joy was theatre, wich was full of the most wonderfully supportive people I’ve ever known. I loved them all. Sorry if this gets rambley, I’m a bit emotional now. I still hid from them though, wich I regretted. I regret that every single day.
Honestly, high school was a blur until senior year. Mix, my safe haven where I could be who I wanted, was shut down. I lost contact with my internet family. I spiraled. Theatre was taken over by the teacher who hated my guts. It became work rather than my passion. I was failing. I was crumbling. My only hope was college, and how was I going to get there now that I was digging myself a hole made of missing assignments and failed tests? Eventually, I cracked. I started self harming. I just wanted the pain that was inside to be outside, I wanted to purge and get rid of it. I was caught one day and I was sent to the hospital for a wellness check. They suggested I go to a thing called a “partial program”. It’s basically group therapy with other teens who are in similar situations. I loved it there. Mid way through my stay I came out as trans, and they all accepted me. I finally was out. So much pressure was off my shoulders and I could be who I wanted to be. They all called me jake. They used he/him pronouns. I was finally happy. I came out to my parents, who supported me! They still don’t quite get it, but they’re trying and I appreciate that so much.
Now I’m much happier, I’m 3+ months clean, I’ve been out at my college and I may possibly start t this year! Im an open, feminine, gay trans man! I’m so excited for the journey ahead of me and just know that all you bbs who are having a hard time, just know it gets better. It will get better and I promise you that! I wear dresses again, i wear makeup for fun, and I do all the things I was afraid to do while closeted!! Again, I promise it will get better. Anyway, I’ve got to go now because I’m crying so hard I can’t see my screen, bye!

When was the last time you did something for the first time? >> I bought something on credit for the first time last week. It wasn’t my credit, lmao (I have none), but still.
Which do you prefer: Valentine's Day or Easter? >> I’m not too interested in either. But both have the potential for fun plushies to buy, so there’s that.
Do you wait until the last minute to decorate, or do you decorate early? >> I don’t decorate for either of those holidays, if that’s what we’re still talking about.
What color bottoms are you wearing right now? >> Black.
Do you love life?! >> The punctuation choice gives this question an interesting flavour, lmao. I mean, I don’t necessarily love life or hate life. It’s kind of just... a default state, I don’t have any special feelings about it unless I’m depressed or something. It’s not like I know what the alternative is like, or have anything to compare life to.
What's your favorite Starbucks drink? >> I don’t drink anything from Starbucks if I can help it.
What were you wearing in the last good selfie you took? >> ---
What's on your wish list right now? >> My wish list is pretty clear now, thankfully. I wouldn’t say no to a new computer chair, though. Or a new dresser, now that that’s the only thing in my room that doesn’t match.
What do you use to sweeten your tea? >> Honey, if anything.
Which dollar store do you like best? >> ---
Have you ever owned an expensive eyeshadow palette? >> Nope. Well, actually, Sparrow bought me one that I don’t know the price of, so maybe it was an expensive one.
What's one challenge you want to complete for youtube? >> ---
If you make youtube videos, do you have a posting schedule? >> I don’t make youtube videos.
When was the last time you stepped outside of your comfort zone? >> There’s been no way to do that lately -- my comfort zone is the solitude of my room, and we’re under physical distancing rules...
How would you rate your self-esteem? low, healthy, or high? >> My overall conception of myself is probably always going to be skewed, because I got them Issues(tm). But I am trying to be more compassionate and less persecutory towards myself.
Do you own a tripod for your camera? >> I don’t own a camera, period.
Would you rather go to London, Paris, or Tokyo? >> I don’t know. I guess any of them would be fine.
Were you a bigger fan of Lindsay Lohan or Hilary Duff? >> ---
Which Olsen twin was your favorite: Mary-Kate or Ashley, and why? >> ---
Do you make Halloween costumes out of clothes from your closet? >> I’ve never made a Halloween costume.
Do you enjoy putting outfits together? >> That’s not something I really do, all my clothes are kind of just... variations on the same theme. There’s nothing to really “put together”.
Would you rather it rain or snow? >> Rain, please.
What does your umbrella look like? >> We have several umbrellas in this apartment, but the one I use most is a big black-and-red one.
What color are your nails painted? >> They’re not.
Are your nails always painted? >> Obviously not.
What's one thing you've had a toxic reaction to? >> I don’t know what a toxic reaction is.
Do you wear headbands? >> No.
Do you own a boho bandeau? >> No.
Which do you prefer: cropped tops or tunic tops? >> Tunic tops, I guess, just by virtue of the fact that I would not wear a crop top.
What's a style or trend that you think is ridiculous? >> ---
Which youtuber do you want to be more like? >> I don’t want to be like a youtuber.
Do you wear jeggings or leggings more? >> No.
^Same questions, but jeggings or skinny jeans? >> I don’t really like any of these garments, okay.
Do you like stuffed animals? >> I sure do.
What was your favorite class in high school? >> ---
Have you ever gotten straight A's in a class? If so, which classes? >> ---
Were there any subjects that you got a perfect SAT score in? If so, what? >> ---
What's the best coffee shop in your town, in your opinion? >> I have no idea.
Are you happy today? If so, what made you happy today? >> I’m not sad or angry or anxious or irritable, but I’m also not particularly joyful, so... you know. Neutral is my baseline state.
When was the last time you woke up to a beautiful sunrise? >> I don’t remember, especially considering I can’t see the sunrise from my room.
Is your bed right by a window? >> Yeah, the foot of it is.
Do you spent more time in your bedroom or your living room? >> Bedroom. I really only spend time in the living room when I’m gaming or watching Sparrow game (or watching a video or movie or whatever with her).
Which holiday is your favorite to decorate for? >> I don’t really enjoy decorating for holidays, although I enjoy the decorations themselves. It’s just a tedious process to me.
Do you decorate for holidays? >> Nah, Sparrow does it. She seems to actually enjoy it.
What craft project do you want to do next? >> ---
Do you name stuffed animals still? >> Of course.
Do you still own your favorite Barbie? What was your favorite Barbie? >> ---
Favorite Bratz doll? >> ---
Favorite American Girl doll? >> ---
Favorite Disney princess? >> My favourite Disney princess is Moana.
Favorite cartoon character? >> ---
Are you rebellious? >> I’m a contrary sort by nature, so yeah, I guess so.
What's the most rebellious thing you've ever done? >> *shrug* Existed? Pfft.
What's your favorite thing about yourself? >> I don’t have a favourite thing about myself.
Have you ever celebrated Valentine's Day when you were single? >> I don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day regardless. I just don’t mind using V-Day events as excuses to go out and do stuff, or taking advantage of the many plushies for sale.
What's your dream date? >> ---
If you were dating a guy right now, where would you want him to take you? >> ---
Is there a guy you regret letting slip away? >> No.
Are you a guy or a girl? >> No.

Do you have any family members that you've never met? >> Of course.

Do you like your name how it's spelled? >> Yes.
Would you change your name if given the chance? >> I already did...
Did you ever want to be famous? >> Not in any serious capacity. I’ve daydreamed about being in rock bands when I was a teenager, but that wasn’t like... serious.
Would you ever want to be famous now? >> Fuck no.
Who are the cutest babies you see on facebook? >> ---
What would your name had been if you were born the opposite gender? >> This question assumes a lot of things, like the idea that one’s parent(s) or guardian(s) had pre-chosen a name for each sex, and that they’d made you aware of the other choice after you were born.

What is your first and middle name? >> Mordred Shadow.
What year were you born? >> 1987.
How old does that make you? >> 32, for a few more days.

Note
everyones doing these and I want your thoughts. who are the 5sos babies and what are they like
okay so years ago I had a little universe of 5SOS and their kids and most of this is from then:
The Hemmings Children:
Bethany Jane: Oldest child, very shy and reserved, wants to be a nuclear engineer when she grows up or maybe a princess (until she’s older, then she decides to major in medical lab sciences), definitely in love with Teddy Irwin
Holly Anne: very outgoing, loves extracurricular activities and is part of too many to count (cheerleading, dance team, chess club, book club, key club, drama club, band choir and orchestra), definite daddy’s girl, wants to go into music therapy
Caden James:, always wants to hang out with “gramps” and read the newspaper, very into academics (he took 6 AP classes his freshman year of high school, though he doesn't like to brag), also on the lacrosse team
Spencer Robert: only 7.5 months younger than Caden (Luke couldn’t wait the 6 weeks and his wife needed an emergency c-section after a car accident), still very small from being premature, Caden’s best friend, 100% a momma’s boy, everyone thinks he and Caden are twins so they just say yes
The Irwin Children:
Theodore “Teddy” Fletcher: Oldest child, adores Bethany Hemmings, wants to be a botanist (eventually opens his own flower shop with Bethany after they’re married), doesn't take school seriously because he’s got dyslexia and none of his teachers have been very nice, goes on study dates with Bethany because she understands how to help
Presley Annabelle: Paisley’s twin, daddy’s girl, wants to be just like her dad and even starts a band with Paisley and Camilla Hood, likes to skip school to go to concerts (Ashton likes to go with her and they both agree not to tell mum)
Paisley Grace: Presley’s twin, incredibly sweet and gentle, has the hugest crush on Spenny Hemmings but is too shy to say anything, wants to be a neonatal nurse
The Hood Children:
Camilla Koa: Oldest child, loud and outgoing, never shuts up, has a new crush every day, prom queen, most popular girl in school, bestest friends with Bethany Hemmings though they run in different social circles at school, wants to be a sound engineer on her dad’s tour, plays bass in her band with Presley and Paisley Irwin
Carolina Joy: Complete copy of Calum, exactly the same mannerisms, same smile and laugh
Cameron Fletcher: Calum’s favorite bisexual (though he may be just a little biased), uncle Mike is her favorite uncle, loves to play video games, makes the best homemade pizza, wants to be a video game engineer and make her own games, learns how to code at a young age
Carter Mae: stereotypical girly girl, always has her hair and makeup done perfectly, always has flashy colors and designs on her nails, spends hours at the mall with Gwen Clifford, definitely has a crush on Preston Clifford though she can't tell Gwen that
Caelen David: the only Hood boy, adores his Auntie Mali and only ever wants to hear Mali sing, wants to be a singer but has very bad stage fright, likes to watch Camilla practice with her band
The Clifford Children:
Preston Anthony: exact opposite of Michael, sucks at all video games and hates playing them, loves to eat healthy foods and do yoga, not a dog person, very neat, loves being at school and learning new things, best friends with Caden and Spencer Hemmings
Guinevere “Gwen” Evangeline: best friends with Carter Hood, loves all things spooky, has a pet tarantula named Tantor that Michael refuses to look at, is always begging Michael for a pet snake, wants to be a zoologist or a veterinarian, adores animals, always brings home random animals and tries to see how long until Michael notices and makes her put them back in their natural habitats

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANN!!
It's a national holiday, YEAAAH! Time to yell about my baby girl and why I adore her!! This is gonna be looooong so get comfortable.
I fell in love with her character almost as soon as I saw her; and then stayed in love as I got to know her. One thing I have always loved about Ann is the way she subverts many, if not all, of the stereotypes surrounding her. For example, she appears to be a ditzy cheerleader type, but in reality she's very emotionally intelligent, speaks two languages fluently and her ability to read people is second to none on the team. Heck, she was the first party member who saw Akira for who he really was because she was familiar with being an outcast and looked past the fabricated personality the school conjured up; and she was able to figure out Yusuke's paintings from the emotions put into them. Ann also doesn't give a damn about her weight and eats whatever she wants despite being a model, regardless of scolding she may get (looking at you, Ryuji. Smh. Let the girl eat!!). Too many times in anime or video games the female characters seem to be like "I'm on a diet" or "I'm watching my weight", but Ann's out here eating entire cakes in one sitting (and according to the artbook, she doesn't even know how much she weighs. she literally forgot) and it's really refreshing seeing a character like that. Being a Scorpio Ann even subverts the stereotypes of her star sign since Scorpios are usually dubbed as rather negative but she's bubbly and rather amiable most of the time! It's really uplifting seeing her in the mornings at the train station and she chirps "Good morning! ♫" Also, while she does like girly things Ann also enjoys video games and cartoons!
Ann's honestly the heart of the Phantom Thieves, she's the emotional cheerleader (she was the one who rallied everybody into action when Mona was gone and Akira in confinement), the comforting big sister figure (she and Ryuji and Yusuke were the most encouraging and understanding of Futaba during her healing and Ann was the one who got Futaba to come out of her closet), and the moral compass. Her Awakening is also one of the strongest and I get chills from it every single time I watch it, there's a lot of raw emotions. And regardless of whether you date her or not, Ann's almost inarguably your best female friend. She's there for you from the beginning, and stays with you till the very end. And of course she's not without faults (she's short tempered and sarcastic, poor in most subjects except English, a bad artist, and a bad actor) but that just makes her more human. Her loneliness makes her very human as well, being an outcast and only having one friend to rely on before she meets you; and I think a lot of people can relate to that. And because she herself was lonely, Ann expresses the desire to get emotionally stronger and help others do the same; and that's beautiful. She's also surprisingly forgiving, refusing to hate Mika despite the other model being absolutely awful to her and this sparks Mika to want to be a fair rival to Ann even though she doesn't like her. Some people may take Ann's forgiveness for weakness but honestly to forgive someone who's wronged you takes a lot of strength. However, she does have her limits and Ann will not take any foolishness from anybody; regardless of status. Ann's got a lot of fire-
I really like her romance route too, because she falls in love with you for you, just as you are. Ann wasn't looking for a relationship but she just… falls for you because you were there for her as a friend when she needed you; and it's gradual. It's really pure, and she's very openly affectionate with you, telling you she loves you multiple times during her route (it's so cute guys I could cry). Oh yes, and Ann also kisses you on-screen (it fades to black before you get to see everything but yeah….. she smooches you, y'all; it's adorable)! She also wants to get married and is surprisingly calm talking about your future together, I love how she's not embarrassed about it just "yes of course i want to get married absolutely we shall be wed in the summertime, and have 3 children" (okay that's not EXACTLY what she says, but you get my point). Hands down my favorite romance of the party members.
In conclusion, Ann's kind, bubbly, spunky and sassy, and I love her with all my heart. Happy birthday to a lovely lady.

Tumblr makes the spacing kinda weird by the end, idk why but I hope it gets better for everyone else who wants to take this haha.
ONE - HI THERE! It’s an intro!
What do most people call you? Robyn. In what month is your birthday? April. What country were you born in? The beautiful but politically miserable Philippines. Do you have siblings? How many, if you do? I do; I have two. I’m the eldest, but they aren’t that far off from me. Who do you live with? I’m still studying so I’m living with family for now – mom and dad, a sister and a brother, and a dog. I really want to move out in the next couple of years though.
Are you in a relationship? Yes. Do you go to school? As I said, yes. I’m in university but I’m supposed to graduate next year. What mood are you in right now? Well, I wrapped up my internship last week and my entire weekend was booked with stuff I did, so now I’m just super glad to be home and bum around after all that hectic-ness. I just had 8 hours of sleep and am feeling pretty well-rested right now. What does your shirt look like? I’m wearing a big-ass gray Knicks sweater that’s like 3 sizes bigger for me. What’s your zodiac sign? Taurus.
TWO - Your Appearance
If you could have plastic surgery on any one body part, what would it be?Boobs. They’re so abnormally small that I’m tired of having to waste what would have been completely bomb outfits just because of my chest.
Are you satisfied with your hair? It could have less baby hair, honestly. But I’m fine with it for the most part.
Do you have a hitchhikers or a straight thumb? It’s a straight thumb. My left pinky is quite crooked though.
What colour are your eyes? Dark brown.
Do you have any tan lines? No, I haven’t gone to the beach in a while.
How old do people usually think you are? I just asked this question to Gabie last week and she said that I look 15.
What about your appearance do you get complimented on the most? Face and my overall figure.
Are you comfortable with your weight? Sure, but it’s always worrisome when I get to the lower 90s.
Do you have any piercings or tattoos? Where? Yeah, just the basic earlobes piercings that my parents got for me when I was a couple of months old.
How tall are you? I am 5′1″ and a half. I’m shorter than 5′2″, that’s for sure.
THREE - True or False
I love winter. Neither true or false as I have never experienced snow. I think I’d love it though.
I have eaten meat in the past five days. True. Filipinos eat meat a lot.
I have painted a room in a house. False. My mom is so controlling over adult things like that so she hired people to do it to all our rooms.
I can whistle. True. I learned pretty early.
My keyboard is black. True-ish? The buttons are black, but the spaces between them are silver.
I have never bought something off an infomercial. True. My mom would be so furious because it would be her money anyway.
I own a snuggie / would like to own a snuggie. False.
I bite my pens / pencils. False. I do bite my straws though.
I wear glasses / contacts. True.
My nails are painted right now. False.
FOUR - Childhood Memories!
What was your all time favourite movie as a kid? THE GAME PLAN, without a shadow of a doubt. Watched that shit everyday through third and fourth grade. My runner-up would be High School Musical.
Do you still have your first pair of shoes somewhere? Doubt it. My mom isn’t big on memories like me.
Did you have anything you always dragged around the house, like a blanket?Nope. I did use my parents’ blanket as a cape some days, and other days it would be a gown train and I’d pretend I was the Queen, but I wouldn’t drag it because it would get dirty.
What toy did you play with the most? I was always into grownup stuff so I always got kitchen appliances, dollhouses, etc. I once had toys that mimicked a pizza restaurant and it had a pizza roller and it was super fun for me haha. Once I got a pretend cash register though it was game over for all these bitches.
Did you ever bring your favourite toys in the bathtub? We didn’t have a bathtub, but yeah we would bring in our toys when we would shower.
Did you used to take baths with siblings/cousins? ^ Ooh, barely missed it. Yes, we did.
Are you still friends with your best friends from long ago? A handful are still my best friends. I keep in touch with most of my batchmates from my high school because we’re all close and we’re family and there was generally very little drama – and if there was, it was easy to let go.
Do your parents ever tell you stories about how cute/silly you were? They have several stories, but I was mostly a quiet kid who didn’t like getting in trouble.
Did you go to the park often? What was a typical outfit for the 5-year-old you?Blouses with a girly pattern, denim jeans, and Nike rubber shoes. The top always has to be tucked in.
FIVE - FAVOURITES
Actor/Actress: Kate Winslet
Singer/Band/Both: Beyonce / Paramore
Chocolate: Reese’s
Toothpaste: ??? Whatever we have at home I guess?
Picture of yourself: Nah man, not doing that here.
Pair of sunglasses: I don’t have a favorite.
Vegetable: Broccoli!
Sandwich: Monte Cristo
Aspect of nature: Waterfalls
Word to say: “Literally”
SIX - Love Life ;)
Who was the first person to ever ask you out? No one’s ever asked me out before. Although I think that dude from one of my classes in sophomore year intended to…but I dunno. We were paired up together for this class and he wanted to spend time with me in a coffee shop after our work was done; I didn’t feel comfortable just being by myself so I told him in advance that I was gonna be bringing Gabie…never heard from him ever again :/
What does your ideal date consist of? Dinner somewhere nice (Italian or Japanese) should be enough for me.
What’s one thing your partner must be able to accept about you? I get sad and I’ll need loooooooong stretches of time alone some days.
Does your ideal person have any special talents? She can paint and draw. She doesn’t really share these with other people but she does with me.
Do your parents like the person you’re with? (Or the last person) My parents liked Mike and were convinced something was happening between us lmao. They don’t know about my relationship with Gabie yet.
Do you like pet names? Yes when it’s just the two of us. Publicly, I control myself, cos I know it annoys me when other people are too showy/vocal. Like I don’t call Gab pet names when we’re out with friends; and when we’re out at the mall or whatever, I’m not very physical other than holding her hand.
What is your age range? Same age. I can’t imagine dating someone younger or older, but then again this is because I haven’t had any other experience.
What is one attribute that your ideal partner must have? Sincerity.
When was the last time someone seriously said “I love you.” to you? This morning.
Have you ever been in more than one relationship at a time? No.
SEVEN - The wonderful world of the Internet!
What is your most used website? Probably Twitter. It’s the first thing I check everyday.
Do you play any online games? Other than playing on Y8 when I was younger, no.
Which chat program do you use most often? Messenger.
Facebook vs Myspace- which is better? I haven’t used Myspace in a hot minute, so I’ll go with Facebook.
Is there someone you met online that you’d like to meet in person? Yes, I’m still waiting to meet Aliyah. Girl is in BGC every single day but I can’t seem to grab lunch or dinner with her!
Have you ever sold something on Ebay or Craigslist? No.
Have you ever gone on Chatroulette? Or Omegle video? Yeah, when I was like 12 and curious about the Internet haha.
Are there any videos of yourself on Youtube? I don’t think so.
Mac or PC? Mac.
Have you ever Googled your name? I’ve Googled my username before, but not my name.
EIGHT - This or That?
Twilight or Harry Potter?
French fries or potato wedges?
Liquid ortape white out?
Digital or film camera?
Nail clippersor nail scissors?
Rock, paper, or scissors?
Beard or mustache?
Knee high or ankle socks?
Hockey or basketball?
Mr Clean or sponge and ‘the other leading cleaning product’?
NINE - Be cool, stay in school!
What subject are/were you best at? It’s always history, or social studies in general.
How old will you be when you graduate high school / how old were you? I was 18 when I graduated.
Isn’t there that point in the year when you stop caring so much? Yep, it’s usually when you’re a senior.
Do/did you have any really cool teachers? In UP? Absolutely. There’s a lot of shitty profs, but the cool ones are way too hardcore.
Who is/was your most strict teacher? Sir Ruel in my old school. Old man was and is such a fucking loser. Once had a comment about my breasts and I never forgot about it. Also kicked me and a bunch of other kids out of his class in fifth grade because we didn’t have crayons. He actually got booted by the school for a year because a parent complained about him, but he came back after.
Where do/did you sit at lunch? In high school, the cafeteria was too crowded so my friend group would hang out in our classroom, since most of us were classmates. Right now, lunch just depends on my schedule and where I happen to be by noon.
What do/did you do at recess? Catch up on homework I skipped the night before.
There’s always that one kid who no one really knows, right? LOL, yes.
Is/was your cafeterias food actually any good? It used to be good. Then they kind of hired this company to start making the meals starting junior year and the food was never as good again.
Do/did you have a stereotypical school, with all those cliques and such? You can say that. We had popular party kids, smart but still cool kids, soccer players, the basketball players who all turned out gay, kids who kinda just hovered in the middle, and those who were kinda brushed to the side were the theatre and anime kids.
TEN - Randomly Platypus.
Do you like your toothbrush really wet when you’re brushing your teeth? Not really wet. I just make sure I’ve put it under the running water before applying the toothpaste.
What song are you currently obsessed with? Not into anything at the moment.
What was the stupidest dare you’ve ever done? I hate dares, so I don’t do them haha.
Do you enjoy playing with tape? No?
What’s one word/phrase you say too much? LITERALLY. Which is a problem because most of the time, the things I associate the word with aren’t literal.
When was the last time you went trick-or-treating? 2017.
What did you last use a knife for? Haha, my orgmates were cooking up lunch and I volunteered to chop up the onions. Fun fact: First time to use a knife, ever.
When you open a pack of gum, why is everyone your best friend? Because gum is always a good idea.
What has been on your mind way too much? Completing my requirements for internship so I can submit them as early as possible.
Did you actually enjoy my survey? Sure. Categories are always fun.

Cute
As an asian woman, I have been called cute my whole life. When I was a kid, I resented the attention I got when I wore dresses, or when my mom put my hair in pigtails. Adults would pinch my cheeks and call me pretty. It was patronizing and made me feel like a stupid doll. It felt like they were laughing at me, making fun of me. If I got angry about it, they would laugh some more. Didn’t they know I was smart, and good at sports? My brother never got teased for being cute. As a kid I figured out that to be cute, or to look girly, was to be made fun of, to be eye candy, to lose power.
So I began to dress “like a boy.” I wore blue, and refused to wear dresses. When the boys threw sand at the girls at recess,  I chased them and tripped them.
I wore my soccer clothes all the time. I wore baggy baby blue cargo pants and navy plaid button ups. You would never catch me wearing pink.
In university, I was the only asian person in my group of white friends. I liked it that way because I worshipped white people and had internalized racism. In the Radical Choir, I made two new friends who also had big smiles and pretty voices. We became a trio called The Tra La Las. We three were all cute, but also badass. We were going to reclaim power in being cute. One of our warmups was “Don’t call me sweetheart if you don’t want to get punched in the face.” We thought it was funny to say “Tra La Las ain’t nothing to fuck with.” We described our sound as political doo-wop sugar folk. We wore vintage, pastel, flouncy dresses And sang about gender stereotypes. At some point I realized even being in the Tra La Las had its limitations. We had built a style and brand But I wasn’t only a cutie pie folk singer.
I had gone the other way from being a tomboy, Which was also a part of me.
Skip skip to now Where I’ve come into my own gender Hard femme. Girly tomboy Whatever words you like. I am back to loving being cute. I feel solid in my self and power. I know what I like and I know who I am. I know there’s nothing wrong with enjoying pastels, or pigtails, or fuzzy sweaters or stuffed animals. It becomes a problem when the patriarchy turns that gaze into some sick twisted infantalization power trip.
That doesn’t need to influence me, who is truly a trickster, bright-eyed elf at heart. Who wants to surround herself with pretty, soft, colourful things Because they make me feel comfort and joy.
One play reviewer called my show An iron fist in a slowly-removed velvet glove. How hard femme. Fitting.
