See, the flashbacks to Nobara, a character who Gege really obviously didn't decide the status of, leaving her, for real life years, in a functionally dead state but without the chance for the story to ever deal with that death in any way because maybe she'll come back sometime... make me think that maybe he just isn't good at writing character deaths
Ok lets address the elephant in the room. Why is no one talking about Satoru? why is no one mentioning Satoru. why is no one grieving Satoru? why is everyone acting like Satoru does not exist?
its so jarring that no one and especially his students not acknowledging him at all.
so its either 1- Gege does not give a fuck and want to quickly end his manga 2- Satoru is alive and being healed by Shoko and will have his major comeback.

the core idea i'm working with concerning the jjk finale discourse is that people are mad about the wrong things.
I have had serious problems with the writing in jjk since at least shibuya, and I even found criticism in the hidden inventory arc and the sister school exchange arc (though the main problem there is that it was boring pre-disaster curses and the characters suck).
Similar to Game of Thrones, some people were criticizing the broken writing choices as far back as seasons 3 and 4 while most people were glazing the series until the cracks in the foundation caused the entire story to crumble right at the end, leaving most of the fanbase confused how it "suddenly" got so bad.
The commonly held sentiment is that JJK fell off after Shibuya. I disagree. I think it fell off during Shibuya where the entire worldbuilding, power system, and plot broke irreparably.
HOWEVER where JJK never fell off was in character writing, relationship writing, and the overall themes of the story which were all consistent, had strong throughlines, were well integrated into the action (another strength), and were in my opinion, the core appeal of the the entire project.
And yet, most of what I hear people complaining about is either a) missing or dissatisfying character moments and a lack of satisfying exploration of the themes, or b) contradictory outrage over plot and worldbuilding elements not lining up as if these issues haven't been there from the start.
I know a lot of people don't operate this way, but when there are fundamental problems with the storytelling, but there are other parts of the story that I find incredibly meaningful and impactful, I find it really easy to glaze over those problems and even justify and rewrite them in my head so they make more sense. When good character writing shows up in JJK, I stop caring that the plot sucks.
The finale chapters of JJK had amazing character writing, delivered on the main themes of the story, and made literally all the broken plot elements, lack of focus, and shoddy worldbuilding secondary concerns for me. They don't break the important parts of the story, I don't care that they aren't wrapped up because I didn't like them in the first place, and their lack of exploration just cedes more ground to fan creation allowing the story to thrive for years into the future.
If you were reading JJK for the complicated plot, complex scheming, or intricate worldbuilding, I can see why you're upset, but you made a mistake a long time ago because that stuff has sucked for ages. But I know most of you fuckers on this website were reading for good characters, impactful themes about love, and yaoi bait, so why are you mad????? I really don't get it.
Who cares that the shittily written American Military subplot didn't come back? The fucking basis of the power system doesn't make any sense and isn't well thought out, so how was it ever going to deliver on the solution/potential for cursed energy? You're mad that the random New Shadow School subplot was randomly thrown in at the end, I've been mad since that random fucking grasshopper showed up in the fucking subway!
And some of you are literally admitting YOU DIDN'T EVEN READ THE TRANSLATED CHAPTERS so how would you KNOW if the story themes and character writing had been delivered on? based on summaries? that is the absolute worst delivery system for a story, you have to know this. you're getting mad at machine translations of out of context pages like WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT.
In conclusion, most of you are mad at the wrong things and none of what I wrote up there is really about what the things you should be mad about are, because they don't matter. The point of a story is to mean something and JJK did. It was always good at what it was good at, and I wish people were engaging more with the story in it's own domain instead of being mad it wasn't exactly what they wanted it to be. The finale delivered on everything that made me care about this story. It made me love it even more, and I'm never going to regret spending so much time on this series. Everything else is just criticism for fun.

something I wanted to know is why in jujutsu kaisen the deaths are so superficial death in jujutsu is very different than in other animes The deaths also don't have as much impact, which is quite notable. I think there were only two deaths that had an impact outside of Toji and Geto, both of which caused problems in the jujutsu world.
That's an interesting question because my first thought was "Many of the deaths have an impact on the strory" and "there are more deaths in JJK than in other shonen manga, so their impact can't be too much without the narrative getting cluttered".
Seemingly contratictory thoughts, so I have opened an episode list to go through with all the deaths. First JJK 0:
Geto (villain): his death led Kenjaku to acquire Cursed Spirit Manipulation as a new CT -> he gets possession of Tengen and is now able to do the merger with humanity. Huge Impact.
Grandpa Itadori (side character): his death is an inciting incident mostly but his last words repeat in Yuji's head constantly and up until Shibuya he tried to live his like how his grandpa told him to. This one doesn't get a counter because he's basically Yuji's backstory and character motivation.
Junpei (side character): he is the first death that affected Yuji mentally. To the plot he was unimportant though. Moderate Impact.
Eso and Kechizu (side villains): Yuji already felt bad about killing them but that guilt grew later when he realized that they were brothers. In terms of plot, their death leads to a huge chain of events: in Shibuya Choso seeks out Yuji for revenge -> Yuji loses, gets force fed Sukuna's fingers -> Sukuna emerges, kills Jogo -> to save Megumi Sukuna kills 3000 people.
Choso could've fought against Yuji anyway but in terms of plot as it is written, Eso's and Kechizu's death directly lead to all of the above (having Jogo dealt with and Megumi saved isn't bad though). Moderate Impact.
Amanai Riko (side character): Tengen ascends because of her death and is now in Kenjaku's clutches. Huge Impact.
Toji (main villain): Toji's death is tricky because his impact comes from being alive and taking certain actions. So what did his death contribute to the plot?
Megumi grew up under Gojo and not the Zenin clan. Megumi had deep seated insecurities because he felt abondened by his parents. Toji's resurrection led to the death of a Disaster Curse and Megumi surviving against Jogo. Megumi being attacked by Haruta led to him summoning Mahoraga -> Sukuna kills 3000 people to save him.
We see that some narratives intersect to create the story. But for Toji I'd say that him being alive was more impactfult than his death so: Moderate Impact.
Death of Hanami, Dagon, Jogo (villains): Low Impact.
Death of Mahito (main villain): Kenjaku extracted Idle Transformation out of Mahito to transform Tengen's Barriers into the Culling Game. This wouldn't have happened if Yuji and Todo hadn't defeated him prior. Huge Impact.
3000 people/Nanami/Nobara (side chars/main chara/important side chara): the consequtive deaths of all of them led to Yuji basically becoming suicidal. His "cog" mentality emerged and he planned on dying so Angel would free Gojo. We don't know how he did in the time skip but he's probably still like that at least to some extent if not even more so. Huge Impact.
Naobito (side character): Megumi became clan head because of his death but that didn't go anywhere for Megumi. But because of this the clan elders decided to kill Megumi, Maki and Mai. Huge Impact.
Mai (side character): Maki became fully realized because Mai died and took their shared cursed energy with her. Now the world has another God of Destruction, Maki is in possession of a sword that can cut souls and the Zenin doesn't exist anymore. Huge Impact.
Reggie (minor villain): Megumi was ruthless against him. It's more that Megumi's desire to save Tsumiki at all costs had an impact on him that led to Reggies death. Still, Reggie cursed Megumi at the end and later Megumi became possessed. Moderate Impact.
Yuki (side character): What did Yuki's death achieve? Choso chose to be human I guess. Low Impact.
Tsumiki's death (side character): Last part in Sukuna's 3-step plan to subjugate Megumi. He had to kill her because the first two steps weren't enough but Megumi was passive during her killing. Moderate to Huge Impact.
Gojo (main character): Huge Impact.
Hope I didn't forget deaths (other than from minor characters)
I wouldn't say that deaths in JJK are superficial, just that the narrative and the characters meet death more readily than characters in other manga. In AoT the deaths are shocking and like a punch but that's part of the horror aspect of the manga: the people don't want to die.
In JJK the horror aspect leans more to (reluctantly) accepting a gruesome death. That's why we have moments like Gojo simply taking the death of Nanami in without having an emotional outburst. Emotional control is itself soemthing that is taught to sorcerers so the JJK characters are as a baseline a bit more stoic than characters in Naruto or One Piece.
In terms of Impact, most of the deaths do have it. It's just woven into the story or the impact is more internal than external.

Hi queen 💚
Thoughts on today chapter?? (I know you normally wait until the official translation but Gojo is free and so are you🫶)
Darling! What can I say beside how happy I am that he is back hehe jjk went downhill and won’t be saved in what is left for the end, that is little, but at least we can see how it will end. Won’t be like those manga that are left inconclusive at least.
In my opinion, it’s impossible to sustain quality when the creative process is pressed by a weekly schedule. Gege did take some weeks off and even a month when was sick, but that is not nearly enough. Working conditions have destroyed jjk and you can see how from shibuya until now looks like it was written by a different person. Of course jjk had some issues from the very beginning, I’m referring now to plot development and the holes in it.
I believe jjk will have a regular ending, I mean, Satoru will win. The plot about the erasure of course energy will be solved with the complete erasing of this, as the result of taking control of the potential of culling game, the research of Yuki and probably the sacrifice of Satoru. I have always had this idea that he will die sacrificing himself to contain a major danger rather than be killed in a regular fight. Megumi will find his way out of Sukuna with his shadow technique.
I don’t believe that Gege will answer the hundreds of questions we have regarding the plot, like what happened to Jin and Kaori Itadori for example, the reason why hakari beated a higher up, or the intentions of Tengen. Don’t expect much information to be revealed or side-plot to be fulfilled. Don’t even expect the meating of Satoru and the students and all the explanation of what happened because Gege is rush to finish (i hope be mistaken)
ok this....
Tumblr media
Satoru last words to Suguru will be revealed and that is how the circle with be completed, because jjk is about satosugu

One thing I dislike about the discussion of female characters within jjk is that… people praise it too much?
Of course, the bar is low within Shonen, but even then I still think the series gets a bit too much praise for it’s “good” female writing.
For example, Nobara. She honestly have as much depth and narrative importance as Sakura in Naruto. Nobara is just more liked because she can apparently kick-ass and has a bad attitude.
Maki. She started out promising. She started out as someone who can’t cooperate with her classmates in jjk 0. But then during the actual series that seems to be revolved. However, with the introduction of Mai, her twin, we are then introduced with a very compelling and nuanced take on twins and subversive of the “good” victim vs “bad” victim trope. And then the Zenin Massacre Arc happened. Which not only killed off Mai who had huge potential, but basically destroyed Maki’s arc by giving her a power up without Maki actually needing to change or reflect on herself. And also… the terrible stereotype of twins within that arc too.
Yuki. Once again, she had promised. She is a Special Grade One sorcerers, but with a very interesting and twisted mind. She’s basically like a mad scientist, where she want to see if a world without curse energy is possible. And she’ll see certain things play out even if it means certain people will die, hence why she didn’t intervene during the Shibuya arc until the end. And well, we all know what happened to her in the end.
The rest have too little screentime, or not really important to the narrative at the moment. I’m honestly tired of hearing how “jjk have good female characters” when it really doesn’t. And they darn to go as far as said that the female are better written than Bleach and AOT??? I’m sorry, is it because all the female are “strong, determined, and ass-kicking”?
I’m sorry for this, I just wanted to get this off my chest since the fandom seems to praise this aspect of jjk when I believe it’s not deserved. However, that can be me. What’s your personal opinions?
I think it's pretty clear I agree with you haha. I don't have a lot to say that I haven't said already, but yeah. JJK's female characters are not even towards the good end of low-bar shonen expectations.
While there are things to critique about AoT's handling of female characters and Bleach too, I think it's wrong to say they, on the whole, have poorly written female characters. They have some badly done ones that are done poorly in a specifically gendered, offensive way (Historia). But they also have really great female characters who are, in some ways, I'd argue better written than many of the male characters within their tier of importance (Gabi, Mikasa, Sasha).
If you were to say, gather the female characters on the whole, AoT definitely has much better written ones on the whole than JJK does, as JJK has just has one relevant female character atm (Maki) and her arc is a mess. (Even if Nobara returns, I don't see how her relevance and arc can be salvaged.) To be fair, though, I guess it depends what aspects are most important to each fan, since the offensive aspect of, say, Historia's arc might conjure stronger feelings than the apathy of JJK's treatment of women.

jjk ending has given me many things to ponder mostly itafushi
i think the ending is okay, maybe a couple hiccups to how we got here. i was really uncertain in these past few chapters but overall i think if gege had the whole final arc written out in a more concise way then people would be more agreeable to this ending
cuz it felt like most of this finale was padding until gege could find out how to write themself out of the corner they were stuck in.
more spoilery stuff below the cut but it's all still pretty vague
just expanding on the padding thing: all the different sorcerers brought in to fight sukuna felt weird. like i get he couldn't just drop all those characters, he needed to have them still be around but throwing sukuna one slice of meat after another until yuji finally opened his domain was soooooooo annoying to me lmao
especially since i, like many others, thought higuruma's domain could actually do something and then it just didn't??? cuz gege is the ultimate suku meat rider
the way the battle went too didn't make tons of sense, like in a series like jjk where the character actions in fights are so full of believability. like in the exchange event where they just ran away from hanami or all the 2 v 1's and jumpings against curses. it doesn't track for NOW to be the time that people aren't all attacking the one opponent. i can excuse it for gojo and kashimo, but other than them i was hoping more people would team together to attack sukuna at once since it feels like ganging up on curses was kind of a charming recurrence in jjk.
also kenjaku's death was SO BAD dawg i can't believe that shit. sorry to yuuta my eyebag king loooove him <3 but omg no fucking WAY that's how kenjaku dies like he was so built up! i was expecting him to be a bigger bad than sukuna. i don't mind yuuta being the one to do it so we could get him copying the technique or whatevs but just UGH not a sneak attack bro that's ridiculous
choso fake out death followed by choso really dying was lame as hell also. just kill him off don't give us false hope gege boooo gege boo
megumi laughing out loud about his dad's death is so funny but i need to know if he knows it was the guy from shibuya.
but yes like i said overall i like the ending i just think how we got here could've been thought out or arranged better, but also! gege had i think 3 one shots before jjk so??? how am i going to judge a mangaka struggling to end a series pretty excellently handled before now
gojo being the only one of the main four dying makes sense. i feel like from the second gege said "either one dies and three live or three die and one lives" we all should've known gojo was a confirmed kill no matter WHAT (i'm just happy we didn't get nobara and megumi as deaths also, poor sweetie yuuji doesn't need that)
naked. high. thinking about satosugu..

♡ ˙ ˖ ✧ — warning: female reader, jjk spoilers, post shibuya arc, written with black reader in mind, mentions of pregnancy, mentions of kids, reader is seven months pregnant, established relationship (reader is married to nanami kento), tooth-rotting fluff, mentions of reader being a doctor for the kyoto school, nanami nickname for his daughter is tater tot pls its cute (say its cute now!), reader also has reverse curse technique similar to like shoko, i said tooth rotting fluff but it's low-key a lil angst at the end, this is just so cute and fluffy cause this is endgame for nanami, he's somewhere with his wife and mini me living life (scars and all)
♡ ˙ ˖ ✧ — i saw how good babymaking did and decided why not give you guys more of that couple. i did mention that i will possibly turn it into a full fic and decided to do it in the canon verse and a what if nanami survived shibuya. yes, the fanart of him with his eye patch made me do it. so this cute little fluff is set after shibuya. i know fluff usually flops sometimes on here..but idc this is self-indulgent.

YOUR BODY LEANED AGAINST THE COUNTER AS YOU DROVE YOUR SPOON INTO THE TUB OF ICE CREAM AGAIN. The sweet taste hitting your tongue caused you to moan out in sweet relief finally indulging in your late-night cravings. With being seven months pregnant, your cravings seemed to increase just as much as the size of your swollen belly. The discomfort of sleeping sometimes always leads you to scavenge through the fridge or the pantry for a snack while watching some tv show on Netflix until you fell asleep on the couch with whatever snack you were munching on in your hand.
However, this night was different. As you wiggle yourself out of your husband's grasp to sneak out, you were met with your daughter Yu leaving her room to use the bathroom. She never wiped the sleep from her eyes so quickly, wondering if you had to use the bathroom like her. When you told her no, her curious mind only led to more questions.
So here you two were sharing a tub of cookies and crème ice cream bought specifically for you from the local ice cream parlor. It was complete silence from the two of you in fear that you’ll wake the man upstairs when you two were supposed to be doing the same thing. Yu was the one that broke the silence as she was prompt on the counter scooping up ice cream.
“Mommy, what will my brother's name be?” Yu asked. Her bold brown eyes that she stole from her father looked up from the ice cream to look at you.
“I have a suggestion that Uncle Gojo gave me, but whatever your father and I choose—just know his name will be just as beautiful as yours,” You smiled at her.
Yu was your sunshine in the morning. The day you found out you were pregnant with her, you were panicking. You remember explicitly sitting in the doctor’s office completely astonished by the words of the doctor telling you how far along you were. You were afraid, that raising a child in a world full of curses was tricky. But it was your lovely husband Nanami Kento that assured you that everything would be okay. The two of you just had to take baby steps.
Which you did. You didn’t push yourself so hard as the main doctor at the scorcher school in Kyoto. Especially given the many eyes that examined you under a microscope to make sure you were okay. From Utahime dropping off food because when you weren’t pregnant, you sometimes were so indulged in your work—you forgot to eat. But now that you had a little human growing inside you, she doubled down on this task. You couldn’t ignore the random pops up from the students. You were completely onto them coming into your office asking about random bruises on their bodies—when they just wanted to make sure you were okay.
Nanami didn’t accept as many missions as he used to and always was home on time to greet you with a kiss and on some days even cook dinner after his long day at work. As months went on and your belly grew, you were so excited to meet your little girl. Deciding to name her after Nanami’s late friend Yu Haibara was a huge step because it forced Nanami to think about his friend. Plus, you wanted to have a natural birth in the comfort of your own home—but that was put on hold when you went into labor early—soon giving birth to a premature Yu that only weighed three pounds.
You had Nanami by your side twenty-four-seven during the process of Yu getting bigger. It wasn’t a hard journey, but you guys got through it. The kangaroo care that had your eyes clouding with tears seeing Nanami hold his daughter previously on his broad chest. You were sure even the nurses were swooning at the moment. The journey to the NICU unit and seeing your small beautiful baby girl sleeping peacefully. Obviously, the deadly postpartum depression you endured in the hospital waiting for improvements on Yu. It led you down an overthinking rabbit hole as you only blame yourself that you went into labor. Perhaps you went into maternity leave a little too late or maybe you picked up something a little too heavy for you. It was a dark time for you, but it was Nanami who assured you everything was okay.
You were grateful for your family now. With Yu turning six pretty soon and then on top of that you were bloated with another child—the Nanami’s were growing in numbers. You were excited to meet your new child and you couldn’t wait for Yu to meet her newest sibling. She couldn’t stop talking about it.
From babbling on about how she had to protect her little brother to sometimes even sleeping in the baby’s nicely decorated room.
“Do you have any suggestions?” You asked your daughter while scooping some ice cream.
“No, not at the moment. I just can’t wait to meet him though.” Yu said with a smile.
“Me either.” You said with a smile. “Let’s hope he’s not as grouchy in the morning as your father.” You snickered and Yu let out a cute giggle before eating ice cream once again.
As you and your daughter continue to chow down the rest of the ice cream before it became a melted mess, you could hear someone clear their throat to get both your attention. You glanced up seeing Nanami leaning against the door frame of the kitchen staring at the both of you. You still had your spoon in your mouth while your daughter had ice cream stains on her face.
“It’s two in the morning,” He firmly said as he looked between his two favorite girls. “Care to explain why you two are up so late eating ice cream?” His eyebrows raised waiting for a response.
Yu’s eyes looked at you waiting for you to come up with a response, but you were looking at her expecting her to give her father a response. She was the daddy’s little girl after all, if Nanami could—he would let her get away with so many things.
“I can explain, just some late-night cravings for the little guy.” You rubbed at your swollen belly smiling at your husband.
“And what’s your excuse young lady?” Nanam’s index finger pointed at his daughter who started thinking.
“I was following mommy.” Yu shrugged before he’s smiling at him and dug into the ice cream once again.
Nanami chuckles as he’s stepping forward and collecting each of your spoons out of your hand. “Both of you, to bed now.”
At the same time, both you and your daughter kissed your teeth. You slowly put the lid back onto the ice cream, “But it’s almost finished, we might as well finish it.” You whined as you stepped forward.
Nanami’s back was faced towards you as he cleaned off the spoons you used. You wrapped your arms around his waist, your belly poking him in the back as you were pouting, “Please.” You said with a high-pitched voice.
You could feel Nanami’s grasp upon your hands to untwine himself out of your grasp and now he’s facing you. His brown hues stared down at you before speaking once more, “She has school tomorrow and you have a doctor’s appointment. I want both of you to not be tired in the morning.” He leaned down to place a quick peck on your lips. “Okay?”
“If I say okay, could we stop at that food vendor that sells that delicious taiyaki?” You asked.
“Will this make you two go back upstairs to bed?” He asked. His eyes traveled to his daughter who was wiping the ice cream from her face with a paper towel, but she was frantically nodding at his question.
“You two just love to swindle me for sweets,” Nanami chuckles.
“It will make Yu, myself, and Yoshino happy.” You smiled before you’re laying your head on his chest and snaked your arms around his waist once more.
“Yoshino?” Nanami questioned.
“Yeah, it’s a name Satoru suggested before you know what happened. I mean, it’s mainly used for girls—but it means luck. So, I like it.” You said with a smile.
“I like it too,” Nanami answered.
“Me three!” Yu said through a yawn and Nanami took it upon himself to finally wiggle out of your grasp for one last time to collect his daughter to pick her up.
“Ready to go back to bed tater tot?” He asked, calling her by that adorable nickname because it was one of her favorite foods.
She tiredly giggles before placing her head on her father’s shoulder and nodding at his question. You couldn’t help but smile at the view as you followed the duo out of the kitchen and back upstairs after turning off the lights.
Even after the events that transpired after Shibuya, you were happy that you had your family. With your home that was filled with sunshine and happiness, around your happiness was the world of sorcerers and curses—which was crumbling down day by day since Satoru was sealed.

To me JJK became like one of those overhyped shonens with alot of promise at the beginning but as time passes the passion just dies out and it's painfully clear that Gege wants to be done with it, he even said something like that himself. Doesn't matter how devoted the fanbase might be, if you're writing something you're not passionate about then the audience can't really help there. It has to come from both sides.
Anyways, I don't regret dropping out of it at all. Besides that, how is life treating you? ♥️
Hello my dear ♥ life is a little of a bitch with me but i'm thriving :)
sorry for not answering earlier, i always want to take time to answer you properly
I believe it is related to conditions of work for mangakas and the demand to drop a new chapter every week. In my opinion it is not consistent with the creative process that a good story needs. It seems to me like Gege always wanted to tell a story that was a coherent piece with its end, not a story that can keep ongoing for indeterminate time as long as their author has ideas. However, this story needs time to plan it and if the author is rushed to drop a chapter every week like taking bread out of the oven it is impossible for them to do corrections and to set pieces together. Gege has an idea of what is about the culling game and the next arc until the end, but devil is on the details, and it seems like they are exhausted right now and can’t make the battles of this arc to make sense in the overall story.
The most clear sign of this is how characters are taking turns to appear in the culling game when these events are supposed to happen simultaneously. JJK didn’t have this problem during the Shibuya arc when Gege knew how to let readers keep an eye on every character involved and knew when to make transitions between them to increase tension. However, in the culling game Gege seems like dropping ideas as it comes to them. without enough time to re-elaborate and make it work in the major narrative. Characters appear one at the time and the story only moves to someone else when the mini arc is done, this is the reason why the culling game feels like it is forever when many fights happen on the same day.
Another big problem is how the new characters introduced (most of them) seem pointless, like filling because the protagonist needs to fight someone. And all of them (except for Higuruma) seem like easily interchangeable between each other because their mindset isn't shaping the fights like Mahito personality did with his. These fights left nothing to the story and this is the biggest problem, because in the past arc every fight made huge contributions to the story. For example, in every fight with the special grade curses we could learn about them, their view, their purpose, those fights have consequences for the protagonist even if they failed to kill them. But now, what contributions does Charles Bernard have to the story? What impact had it had on Hakari? The fact that sorcerers from the past and sorcerers who were given curse techniques by Kenjaku keep showing up and nobody asks them the right question or the narrative does nothing to let us know how that was possible is ridiculous.
And all this is only getting worse. While Hajime had an impact on Panda and let us know about him, he was only fun to watch in relationship with Hakari. Even if he wasn’t pointless like others, Hakari and Panda could have faced another strong fighter and the result was the same because there is nothing of Hajime compromise here, like in the past happened with the special curses. Their goals, mindset and wishes were compromised and determined the way that the fight occurred. A good example is Higuruma vs Yuuji, which was the last well written fight.
Why is it only getting worse because we have Naoya coming back and i can’t explain what is the point of that (besides the fanservice). He was a great character in the way he portrayed how patriarchy works in jujutsu world and how he represented all of that as a opponent to Maki and what she represents. But that fight is over and Maki already went through that. Even if he drops bombs like “lets ask Mai” is only salt to the wounds because doesn’t really introduce nothing new to the problematic. The point of him letting Maki team up with Noritoshi? I can’t say for sure because now we have these two guys who are like a joke interrupting the fight.
One last time, Hajime vs Hakari had great aesthetic moments, but the fight against Naoya worm is so messed up that it is hard to follow it. I can’t pick one single panel and said wow this looks awesome.
we can only save jjk by giving gege a one year hiatus to put things together and have rest
