A Jily Fic Coming Oct. 2024 - Rated M - Subscribe for Notification

Lily and James Potters’ love was fiery, filled with passion, tragedy, and love. It was not a fast ignition of a flame that proceeded to burn bright. No, it was a flame that was lit on the Hogwarts Express before anyone had joined the compartment. It burned brighter as their years progressed, and it was lit ablaze in their seventh year. It burned vividly until the day they died. Their love was described by many as a light that shined during the darkest parts of the war. This is their story.

With the warm reception I received after posting Mistle-Wow, I have decided to start posting my long Jily fic earlier than expected.

This is a long fic, canon-compliant, and centered around Jily.

The first chapter will detail James Potter's early years before Hogwarts. The next chapters will be for Sirius, Remus, Peter, Severus, and Lily. After that, we will get into the first ride of the Hogwarts Express, and continue on until Jily's death.

When I say long, I do mean it. I have plans for almost every month of their life once they start Hogwarts. Which means we are looking at over 120 chapters.

I plan on updating once a month at first, however, I aim to move into more frequent updates after the new year.

I hope you are excited, the first chapter is ~15k words.

I came back to fandom in June of 2024 - so I have been here for about six months 🥳

In that time, I went from a fanfic reader-only to a writer with almost 100k words under my belt! I am sometimes in awe of myself - and that people have liked what I write!

My fics for the year are all Jily - it's only fair as they were the ship that got me into fanfiction in the first place.

A Light In The Shadows - My long Jily canon-compliant fic. Right now I am posting Part One: The First Eleven Years. This covers the beginning of the Marauders, Severus, and Lily's life. Part One will be done end of Jan and Part Two: Magical Mistory Tour will come out on March 1st, 2025.

Mistel-Wow - My first every fic! James and Lily are working on some homework in the library and get caught under some mistletoe during their 5th year. It's cute and fun! This is a snapshot that will be part of ALITS.

How To Ask A Witch To Hogsmeade - Written for the Jily mascarade, this was an idea I had about how dating practices might have changed from when James' dad was young... You get some young third-year Jily here.

An Early Christmas Surprise - What if Sirius and the boys overheard a conversation they were not supposed to? And it's something about pregnancy! This was a fun idea that was sparked from a conversation with friends!

I have also written some Metas this year. One on the Science Behind Werewolf Virius. The other two are favorites of mine about how James Potter Knew More about Muggles and that Lily Evans Liked Flying.

Next year I will keep on working on ALITS and have joined two gift exchanges!
