If the Valeyard had beaten the Sixth Doctor during their battle in the Matrix, he would have messed with time so dramatically that it would become catastrophically damaged. Eventually, he would have left hiding away in his TARDIS, afraid that any action he took would make things worse. The TARDIS would have confined him inside, immobilized with force fields. The TARDIS would only still be alive due to the symbiotic nuclei connecting her to her pilot, and the Valeyard would only be alive because of his connection to his TARDIS. my crackpot dragon age hc is that alistair uses the surname ‘fitz’ which just means ‘son of’. not bc maric or eamon gave it to him to be cruel, but some boys from the chantry used it for him to be mean. using it to be cruel bc they hear rumors he was given up by arl eamon, esp when eamon attempted to visit and alistair refused to see him.

like they were right and wrong, hes a bastard but not eamons bastard. the name sticks with him until hes a warden and while he doesnt care for it, its sort of his. he can choose to reframe it for himself and apply it to another person, if he wanted

alistair theirin and fitzchivalry farseer parallels bc now my brain is on it and i love fitz soso much

alistair theirin is bastard to a king who never acknowledges him. a king with a lot of heroism behind his name that would make it very embarrassing for him to admit he has a bastard. 

fitz bastard to a prince who was quite literally named to reference the virtue of chivalry. known to be devoted to his eccentric wife (maric and rowan??) 

dogs! alistair slept in the kennels at arl eamon’s estate. fitz was given as an apprentice to the stablemaster and slept in the stables. ferelden is veryvery devoted to their mabari, fitz has the wit and is especially connected to dogs and while sleeping in the stables starts to share minds with one

alistair is forced to acknowledge his position in the line of succession and possibly becomes king after a life dedicated to a secretive order

fitz is also forced to acknowledge his position in line of succession (although not by becoming king, but he does technically sire dutiful which omg also has parallels to alistair doing the dark ritual) after a life dedicated to secrecy and assassination 

eamon and burrich are another parallel. although burrich is also kind of a loghain figure. former confidante of prince chivalry now fathering his bastard.

edit: eamon i guess is actually more similar to verity than burrich and burrich is more like duncan

alistair believes his mother to be a serving girl and fitz believes something similar but the truth of who their mother is is more complicated.

Which Companion would Win in a Fight Masterpost

The Doctor has had many companions of various fighting skills, now its time for us to decide who among them could beat the rest in our new tournament ‘Who Would Win in a Fight?’

The rules of combat are:

Nobody can choose to bow out, just because the character would choose not to fight, doesn’t mean they can, they must fight to the best of their skill level

No weapons unless equal weapons, by which I mean, the only time weapons are allowed is if both the competitors regularly carry that weapon, for example Jamie and Leela carry knives, if they were to fight they could use those weapons, however if Leela went against someone who is usually weaponless, she would not be allowed her knife, the fight would be hand to hand combat. Alternatively if Leela were against Sara Kingdom (who carries a gun), as the weapons are different this would also be hand to hand combat. I will point out what weapons are allowed in any match, if I forget or do not mention it for any reason, assume it's a fist fight.

Imortality is off, any immortal characters can be defeated (this only matters for Jack, but without this rule the tournament cannot function)
