i think after a certain extent of suffering whatever bad karma you’ve accumulated from the bad you have done will all go away. as you’ve paid the price by way of being cut down so much you become a doormat that people walk on or use to scrape the dirt off their shoes. perhaps you can grow back to where you used to be but with that comes the fact you may end up hurting someone and be punished for it by bring cut down again. it’s a cycle that only ends when you end, and maybe with all of your moral debt taken care of. all the good you’ve done may led you to heaven.

but death isn’t a goal you should aspire towards. living the best that you can is. you may be chopped down but that doesn’t mean you can’t grow back, you’ll always be able to. it is just your choice to grow.

yo i’m watching the first episode of sonic the hedgehog (1993) and why is it so dystopian?

Okay so like the main premise of the series mainly in the early 90s, and what started the series, was actually environmentalism about protecting animals! In SatAM (called that by fans to not confuse with other stuff called that in the franchise) he's fighting with the Freedom Fighters to reclaim their home from Eggman who stole it from the Acorn Kingdom.

As a small summary: Egg bitch stole Sonic's home when he was 7 and now he's pissed cus mobians (animal aligory for the show) are being used as a source to make machines.

Sadly this whole entire storyline and all original characters tied to it got abandoned in 2017 when SEGA stopped working with Archie. If you do like the story, then reading Archie might be a good idea but just know it is a comic from the 1990s and early 2000s written and drawn almost exclusively by white men, so best girl Sally Acorn is done dirty MULTIPLE times ;o;

Another character done dirty (/hj) was best villain ever Eggman, but to be fair this was before he got his gayness or sometimes (sometimes) caring for other but in the most selfish ways possible.

Motw long game spitballing: my motw players dni

Okay so the bbeg for my MOTW game is a guy trying to 1:Bring back the old gods (eldritch),

2: use their power to break into the Somewhen Else,

3: break out of the Somewhen Else.

The thing about Somewhen is that it is the physical space where imagination is born. All stories exist in the space (shown as a sprawling pinetree) so if a character is aware of the Somewhen Else they are somewhat aware of the fourth wall. So if the BBEG of this MOTW game were to succeed,, well he'd come into the real world. Which I'm not quite sure how to play that if that happens lol. Maybe invite a freind to join the server and dont say anything.

I guess overall it's an aligory for the life outside of ourselves art (specifically storytelling) takes. Any author will be able to tell you their characters have done surprising things to them. And I think the same will go for anyone who plays RPGs. Also the existential question of pre determination, and if it does exist would that even matter? It would only matter if you were aware of it, and that would have been a part of the plan from the start.

Tldr: the big bad of my MOTW game is trying to become a real boy. But as he exists in my mind and is controlled by me hhhh my brain hurts

Sometimes I believe that the story of Fenrir is also an aligory for depression. Being chained down unable to roam freely due to something that to other people seems easy to overcome but to you is the strongest of chains and is much more than it seems.
