Please note that what has been shot down is literally a flying object that has not been identified; it is probably not an alien spacecraft (although the CNN story does not specifically deny it).  Officials have, however, said that it doesn’t resemble the Chinese spy balloon from last week.  It was shot down into the ocean off Alaska, and the military is working on recovering it, presumably so that they can figure out what it was.  Officials further stated that it appeared to be smaller than the Chinese spy balloon, and they believe it was unmanned. 

 (Unless, of course, the aliens are very tiny.)  

So if your bingo card says “alien invasion” or “space war,” do not mark off the square at this time.  Currently, this event qualifies only for the “UFO” square.
