You're right about who killed Mamika. It was me. She said she wabted to save me. As a result, I made her pay for her arrogance with her blood. Even when her intestines were spilled out on the ground, she kept saying the same thing. What a foolish girl.

So 5 months ago I wrote this post and I thought it might be appropriate to drop my final thoughts on Re:Creators now that it’s over.

Sadly I pretty much half-dropped it and just tuned in to the jp stream a few times or listened to spoilers from a friend. The pacing and overall skeleton of the story were pretty bad and the quality of writing dropped quickly after the initial few episodes.

I'd still follow it weekly if the characters I like weren’t shafted and got too little screentime, on top of that Altair was an incredibly weak villain and many of the character’s actions felt dragged out or pointless. Conclusion: They should have rethought the goals they want to achieve in the story and devoted it more time and planning because this feels very unfinished.

But now onto the good things!

Suruga was amazing and her scene with Blitz was probably the best moment in the anime, even though Blitz is one of my favorite creations and I wish he had it better.

Seems like Suruga won't soften up, but at least he should get a few happy moments. Handsome middle aged men deserve more fans, he should have stayed in this world and peacefully lived with his daughter.

Rui was my favorite and I have to appreciate the newest BD cover art, it's amazing and I love the Gunbuster pose. Really, he had so much potential, I would have never expected his mix of tropes to work so incredibly well.

Alice and Mamika are getting a crossover! The poster already looks incredible and had the most fun interactions because their worlds were completely opposite.

Yuuya and Sho were fun characters as well and I liked some of the jokes with Hikayu and her creator. Magane was fun as well, although her ending and part in the story is another thing that feels unfinished, but at least she kept things interesting.

It’s a shame to see these characters go to waste, but maybe somebody will feel inspired by them. I would have really loved to watch Monomagia or Code:Babylon.
