and also i have no clue why this post is this long, im just rambling and yapping out of my head.

okay, so dolls.

billy and mary are the twin pair of dolls among the dolls siblings

they have exist for a while, like, in the 1800s perhaps, or earlier than 1500s because we got no clue when the dolls is actually made in the rozen maiden series 😔

they only given the name of William, later nicknamed to billy, and Mary stays as Mary, their father, the creator of the dolls, will be the wizard cuz he fits in that roll.

the other dolls is given the name of Frederick (later shorten to freddy), Darla, Pedro and Eugene.

they are dolls, but they are alive, because of one thing: father (/wizard). wanting to be the chosen one — a human; aka alice in rozen maiden; aka i have no idea the substitute name in this post.

CC and Marilyn are a couple, in 1940s, who happens to be archaeologists, found two strange letter in their two cases. and out of curiosity, they accepted the letter despite it being strange.

the letter stated: wind up or dont wind up

the couple thought it was weird and circled wind up.

immediately two wooden boxes appeared, they are big, like suitcases. so curious again, they opened it.

in the boxes, they found small humanoid things, dolls, and they look like twins pair of dolls. so Marilyn holds Mary, found the doll’s skin is very human-like. while CC found this wind up doll key and understood somewhat, that these dolls is a moveable dolls.

so he set the key, twirls it on billy and mary, the couple waited and slowly, the dolls move. but the movement is strange, it’s like a child learning how to walk but was more ‘dolly’ and ‘robotic’.

then the dolls opened their eyes on their own, getting use to the movement, becoming more ‘alive’. (WHICH THEY ARE, BECAUSE OF ROSA MYSTICA IN CANON ROZEN MAIDEN BEING THEIR SOUL)

the couple of course, shocked, wondering how the dolls works. and decided just to take the dolls as their ‘children’, aka take care of them. faking the dolls as their children because it’s insane to be seen with ‘alive dolls’. and the dolls passed as a literal 5 (or younger) years old.

the dolls introduced themselves as Billy and Mary, with the last name ‘Batson’. they are the third and fourth doll.

later, CC and Marilyn finds it strange that the dolls will disappear to somewhere in a while, like middle of the night-ish. so all on that adventurous spirit, they followed the dolls and found out there’s a mirror connecting to the other dolls’ worlds.

and they found mary and billy fighting another doll, Darla. In their powered up form that CC and Marilyn never know before, until this night of course.

Darla is definitely young, youngest of all when CC and Marilyn found out, she was made as the last doll, the ‘sixth’ doll. but they are not so much different because of the base build for dolls. but actions speaks louder amirite? Darla lost, expected to be killed by her rosa mystica taken away by either billy or mary.

billy and mary didnt want to, since living for 1 week (i guess?) with CC and Marilyn has made them somewhat better than they were before. less spoiled and less arrogant of a doll. but also how they missed the other siblings, they don’t want to lose the siblings because of these death battle and only one can remain. so they spared Darla, taken her in with CC’s and Marilyn’s permission.

sooner joined by Freddy, who has this talent for music typa doll, he is very weird though, but he is in fact the oldest one, aka the first finished doll to be made. then later on joined by pedro, who is probably the strongest of the dolls, the fifth doll, he suddenly appeared by flying with his case. crashed in, did a small fight and gone. but he do visit frequently with peace.

Then eugene, the smart one, the second doll, who didn’t really care much, currently just roaming around and sometimes do a small stay with CC and Marilyn with other dolls.

but, where’s the fun when Black Adam didn’t appeared? So black adam, the secret, imposter, seventh, but also is the ‘zero-th’ doll, appeared to claims all of the dolls rosa mystica to be the chosen one. be human.

he was the first doll to be made, but never finished, until someone else other than father (wizard) finished him and gave him the chance to be human. filled with rage, he took that chance and made a rampage, but he has to manipulate the situation first, using his powers to made it hard for the other dolls.

this is where the other villains from captain marvel appeared, sivana, mr mind, sabbac, ibac, etc etc. and it has going on for decades now, there has been multiple times where the dolls has to go back to their hibernation (box).

in which meanings, CC and Marilyn has died, either due to black adam, or just natural causes.

the time is now twenty-something (20??) the billy box is suddenly opened, no mary in sight, billy is confused. shazamed (using his doll power) and find mary. but in the way he helped a weird ass costumed team (soz), the Justice League.

JL was thankful for this strange man who appeared out of nowhere and helped them fought the enemy. asked him to join the team, billy was hesitant at first, because of his doll sister. but of course is a little afraid of black adam finding him and get him before he can even find mary.

but he accepted. and shenanigans issues.

also sivana and mortal enemy of captain marvel will appeared during this time rather than before JL thingy

I like a lot of things,but mostly whimsical, folksy aesthetics,forests and plants, and glowy flowers and things like wisp motifs (there's no limit actually).My favourite colours are,as you might have guessed, the multitude of shades of red, deep maroons and browns. I love fantasy,and folk tales and Celtic things in general have been my passion for a long,long time ,though I also love things inspired by Alice in Wonderland .

As far as music goes...I sang soprano at a choir for a larger part of my teenage,and choral music is very close to my heart. My favourite genres of music are Celtic, especially Irish traditional, new age, classical/neo classical, sea shanties,and whatever Yuki Kajiura and Mili have going on.

Now...art! When not doing fanart,I like drawing fantasy illustrations, and one day I'd like to illustrate books but that's a pipe dream. I'm self taught,and use mostly watercolour and ink. I also love sculpting. It started with trying to sculpt figures and while that's still what I do most,I sculpt other things too,and in general it has to be the favourite of my scores of hobbies . I also do bookbinding...and music box strips ...and doll customs...yeah there's no rhyme or reason to what I do and don't actually.

          A crow had left an weird scroll on his hands, two choices written in it. To wind or to Not wind. There was no sense in any of it, but for his affinity by crows; remind of his late partner..he paid attention. Circling the first option with his finger, without thinking much about as it disappeared in smoke. As any other contract scroll.           By the morning, the first thing his eyes catch was the luxury suitcase set besides him. “....... I’m not too stupid to open a trap like that, nee.? ” Of course, there’s no one anymore to hear him, talking was just a manner to pass time and fill the void.           He opened it anyway, as if something attracted him to.  “A little boy?” No, just a doll as the joints could be seen. A well made—incredible fancy one. Even if the clothes were weird, it was incredible adorable with the frills and little hat. Did Sasori left him it? Was the only possible explanation.. even if didn’t seem reasonable.  Maybe out of boredom or curiosity, lifting the doll and turning on the key on their back to see what would happen.

Ask a Lolita: Mixing Fandom and Fashion

It is not uncommon for someone to discover Lolita through something related to their fandoms, be it reading a manga with a character who wears Lolita or attending a convention where there are Lolitas present. A question that commonly comes up in the Lolita community is one of whether or not it is acceptable to combine Lolita fashion with fan fashion. The answer to this question is yes, of course it is acceptable to bring your fandom into your fashion, but the trick to this can sometimes be doing so tastefully so that you are getting your fandom or character inspiration but not losing the Lolita aesthetic.

A big source of confusion when it comes to combining Lolita with fan fashion is knowing where the line between fan fashion and cosplay has to be drawn. As we all know, Lolita is not cosplay, and many Lolitas may actually become angry if you suggest that it is because we work so hard to make it known as a fashion and not a costume. Trying to find a good middle ground can become a source of frustration, especially when it comes to creating coordinates that are based on specific characters from a fandom. While the wearer may have gone into it saying that they were making a coordinate inspired by this character, to an outsider it may come off as a “Lolita cosplay” version of the character. Sometimes this can’t be helped because the people who usually say things like this are also people who don’t recognize that Lolita is a serious fashion and believe it to be a costume. However, even taking those people out of the equation it is important that the wearers themselves remember how difficult it can be to draw inspiration from a character and put it into a fashionable coord while still staying true to the charm and elegance of Lolita. Especially when it comes to characters from cartoons, anime, and comics who may wear bright, eccentric outfits, it can be difficult to translate that into Lolita without it coming off as a costume, but it can make for a fun challenge!

A popular form of fan fashion found online is the concept of Disney bounding, wearing fashionable outfits that are inspired by Disney characters. Looking at these outfits it is clear that they are not direct costumes of the characters but what is also clear is the inspiration behind them. Similar ideas can be used when creating Lolita coordinates based on specific characters. A good way to start is by drawing from the character’s color scheme for the main pieces of your coordinate. Let’s say you wanted to create a coordinate inspired by Captain America. The main color he wears is blue so perhaps you would want to start with a blue dress. His costume also includes red and white so you could bring those colors in through accents on the dress and through accessories. To really get a sense of the character you could also bring in accessories that are directly related to the character, perhaps Captain America’s shield. You could also consider looking at specific elements of the character’s outfit if they’re things that could easily work into Lolita. For example, Captain America wears red boots so you could wear red Lolita boots.

For years Lolita brands have been collaborating with different companies to produce clothing relating to characters and various fandoms. Disney is a very popular company for brands to collaborate with because they produce cute characters who are easy to work into cute fashion and Disney is very popular in Japan. In 2016 Angelic Pretty collaborated with Disney Store Japan for a line based on Marie from The Aristocats called Kiss Me Cat. Other brand collaborations over the years have included Gloomy Bear, Kuroshitsuji, Rozen Maiden, Gosick, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and of course the ever popular Alice in Wonderland. Many indie brands have also taken to using fandoms as inspiration for designs, whether they’re directly in collaboration or not. In 2015 FanPlusFriend had a particularly popular Doctor Who inspired design which featured a TARDIS border print and in 2016, TaoBao brand Westeros Armoire released a dress with embroidery based on Supernatural.

Fashion is a form of self expression and a way to show the world who you are and what you’re passionate about. While Lolita is a particular form of fashion that has a set of guidelines that define what it is, it is no exception to the notion of being a means of expressing oneself. It is important to stay true to the Lolita aesthetic in order for your coordinate to be considered Lolita but, with a little creativity, the possibilities for fun and unique new coords are endless.

Yep, it's me again with more gender posting. I probably should tag all these something. But yeah, I'm finding that if I don't post about things I find myself repeating the same thoughts as if trying to compose the next post instead of thinking of new thoughts, so I guess I need to actually write these posts. This whole "write it or keep thinking it" thing isn't new, but hadn't come up in a while until this personal arc.

First, a hopefully amusing anecdote. A couple weeks ago I was looking at some clothing and remarked to someone the next day, "The things I don't know about women's fashion can be accurately summarized by just saying 'women's fashion'." Specifically, I had to do a search to see whether it was reasonable to wear a skirt and a T-shirt together. This led to the remarks "I'm... not convinced I actually see people in public. Mobile hitboxes and colors, maybe." There's maybe less exaggeration in that statement than one might think.

I've mentioned to a couple people by now that if I did want a feminine name, I think Alice sounds nice, although I'd probably think more if I was gonna actually change names. One person thought it would suit me, which was cool to hear. Wonder what xe meant by that, exactly. While it is a "normal" name, it's also several different references (eg Touhou, Alice in Wonderland, Rozen Maiden), which is neat.

I haven't come up with a gender neutral name for that possibility yet. I feel like it's harder to think of neutral names at all. While someone did mention "Clyceer" kinda is gender neutral because it doesn't have any associations besides me, it also... doesn't exactly sound like a real person name. Plus I've noticed from being in chat on Twitch that the pronunciation I use for it isn't obvious. I've also used "Red" in a couple games as a gender neutral name, like in Undertale where I wasn't sure if the protagonist was supposed to be any particular gender. Since, like, with "Red" am I referencing Pokemon or Transistor? We'll never know. That... also doesn't sound like a real person name though. Maybe a nickname. Besides, if I was any color I'd rather be Green (but is it Green like Pokemon or Green like Gunstar Super Heroes?)

I ended up clicking through https://turn-me-into-a-girl.com/ last Saturday morning. At the end I felt something nice that I can't confidently identify but, well, it probably wasn't a very cis feeling. Unfortunately, revisiting the next day didn't bring about the same feeling, or at least not nearly as noticeably, so further analysis on that may be impossible. There are a lot of useful questions to consider there that I didn't really stop and ponder so still reasons to go back, though. I also didn't really look at the twitter posts in too much detail, and I bet some of them have interesting threads to read if I click through.

I don't know if I've mentioned my gender spectrum estimates to anyone, but 1-3 weeks ago I'd have said "20% masculine with up to 40% error in either direction", while now I'd guess more like "nonbinary with up to 50% error". So I'm less confident in general, but moving away from the masculine side. The confidence interval is a total guess that's just based on feelings, of course, but well, isn't this whole thing based on feelings?

Currently, the strategy I've decided on for experimentation seems to be moving the easier to move identities first. -I'm still mostly presenting masculine in the real world and I'm still identifying as such. I feel like if I were going to transition, I'd have to figure out something for my face or else it would feel too dissonant to me. Maybe makeup is viable? I assumed I wouldn't like it because of experience with paint and oils, but I can't say I've tried, and there are different types. Might be good at some point to at least confirm whether the obstacle is mental or physical. -Anywhere I'm Clyceer or CS has been shifted one level more towards nonbinary by flipping the order of pronouns in the about/description sections to say they/them first and he/him second. My youtube and twitch are important to me and I don't want to make hasty changes. Plus I haven't mentioned anything to my #1 fan who has also been a friend since high school. -Meanwhile in places with lower commitment I'll try being feminine outright. I changed the name on my Splashtag in Splatoon 3 to Alice, and it wouldn't take 2 guesses to figure out which protagonist I'll be in the next Pokemon if I get it.

While I'm sure eventually I'll have to resolve the identities, it does seem useful for the questioning phase to do it like this. Or I guess if I am that genderfluid it could be convenient to leave things like that. But... I don't think things are gonna be that convenient.

Anyway, happy National Coming Out Day... in which I still haven't said anything to my housemate. I did start openly wearing the women's pajamas a few days ago but if they've noticed anything unusual about them they've refrained from mentioning the observation. I mean, it's still essentially a shirt and pants so it's not that odd.

Alina Gray - FFXIV Cosplay

I wound up thinking a lot about Magia Record this past week, since the game just ended its seven years of service. So, when my FFXIV FC held a fashion contest with the theme "painter," I knew exactly what I had to do for my entry!

Here's to Alina Gray: unsettling artist, megalomaniacal villain, and beloved senpai. A prodigy who ran from her fame while seeing beauty in the strangest places, which she then pursued it with her whole heart. Wait, no, Alina, put that back I didn't mean your literal heart -

Anyway, may our memories of her decay with grace and beauty, and perhaps, in time, go on to inspire other wonderful, thought-provoking weirdos! 💚

This time I prepared so I could get to the procrastinating right with the first post! Yay! Let’s get this show on the road.

Alice to Zouroku

So get this, a pretty girl with psychic superweapon powers escapes from a lab she’s been in her whole life and now has to adapt to the real world with the help of a guy she stumbles upon, all while being chased by her superweapon former friends. But in a shocking twist, this is actually better than Elfen Lied! Not being written by someone as brutally incompetent as Lynn Okamoto is a start, but the real change here is that our heroine is less murder machine and more genuinely cute, and more importantly the guy she ends up with is not a harem ringleader dorklord, but a grumpy elderly florist. Yeah, we’re skipping the recent trend of dadfeel anime and diving headfirst into granddad feels (I don’t know if aging otaku are quite old enough to fully self-insert yet, but the same principle applies). It’s a low hanging fruit, but that’s what makes it work; a deliberate, contemplative pace and delightfully whimsical music by TO-MAS also help. So far, so good, were it not for the fact that this is only one aspect of the show. Of course a show like this would have an action half as well, and that one’s pretty garbage. Not only is it directed with zero impact or excitement, it also relies on horrible CG a lot - I really don’t want to be reminded of Hand Shakers this quickly again, thank you very much. Plus, it runs with a Alice in Wonderland metaphor, which is baby’s first literary reference and doesn’t bode well about the intellectual ambitions of the project. So we have one half that’s admittedly effective, but also very predictable and which desperately needs to go somewhere to pay off. The other half just plain sucks and has little chance to improve. I think I’ll give this one a few more chances to sort out its priorities, but it’s definitely not a sure thing.

Busou Shoujo Machiavellianism

A cocky guy walks into a school full of pretty girls with weapons who have managed to sissify all the dudes by forcing them to crossdress. He then proceeds to troll them with his rugged charm. You know, it’s really not that easy to offend me but damn this show is trying. Apart from bottom-tier harem crap setup, this show also looks like ass and is tremendously boring; a few well done action cuts do not in fact excuse “fights” that mostly consist of exposition about special attacks, or terminally uninspired direction. Macchiavellism is the worst of shounen fightmens crossed with the worst of harem LNs, plus some of the worst jokes bad anime comedy can come up with. It’s not even audacious enough in its badness to boggle the mind; I could watch this if I was interested in adding another 1/10 to my MAL, but that’s about all I can appreciate about it.

Frame Arms Girl

Speaking of unholy combinations, here’s Gundam Build Fighters x Rozen Maiden x Strike Witches: A girl stumbles into a sentient mecha musume model kit that spends its time explaining the technical details of model building to her and attracts other model kits that want to fight. It’s an ad for model kits, what do you expect. There’s no characters, the plot is utterly uninteresting, the action’s bad, it looks subpar to bad, and the only high point is how brazenly it reads to you from the manual.

Gin no Guardian

Here’s your latest Chinese webcomic adaptation from your friends at Haoliners Animation League (Shanghai) Inc., whose output has been asymptotically approaching the quality level of a bad Japanese cartoon for years now: Closer than ever, but still not quite there. Maybe they should stop picking bad webcomics with incomprehensible nonsense plots as source material, just sayin’. So this is about a dude who beats up CG zombies in the spirit world but the actual story is how he got there? Or something? It manages to look barely alright and even has some visually striking design work, but its half-length run time prevents it from forming any semblance of coherence and I’m not about to ask for further clarification.

Oushitsu Kyoushi Haine

In a vaguely 18th century Germanic kingdom, a grown ass man with the body of a ten year old and a snarky disposition is hired to become the tutor of an instaharem of fabulous princes. I really don’t get who this is for; obviously the harem is straight out of a PSP otome dating sim, but it’s lacking the obvious self-insert dimwitted main girl, and no, it isn’t gay romance either. Even though it’s a comedy, that aspect does not seem to be played for outright parody. The source material is running in GFantasy, a shounen title (but not one as specifically elementary schooler-focused as Jump, it also carries fujo favorites such as Black Butler). Dubious provenance aside, Haine is moderately funny if nothing else, mainly due to the deadpan reactions of the main character to these ridiculous dreamboats. It just also drags more than a little, with long conversations that aren’t very entertaining all the time. It’s watchable compared to a lot of the stuff out this season, but I remain unconvinced.

Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records

After Macchiavellism already obliterated the battle harem bingo, here’s our next winner. The setup’s more or less the same and in some respects it’s even more formulaic (the school is actually a magic school for magic people, princesses, duels, &c), but Akashic Record is not quite as odious simply by focusing on being a comedy first and foremost and pulling that off at least on a technical level - it has good visual execution and comedic timing. The question is just how much credit you want to give it for that when the jokes themselves still suck, and that’s of course ignoring the entire setup being Light Novel as all fuck. Kinda seems familiar actually, because this is not entirely unlike to what KonoSuba did to the isekai genre, and people keep trying to tell me that that was totally great. Well, go watch this one then, motherfuckers.

Sagrada Reset

But there’s always the other kind of light novel, the one where high schoolers talk about life, people and the world. Think Bakemonogatari or OreGairu. Sagrada Reset wants a slice of that pie and starts by stealing the magical realism conceit from classic™ visual novel Wind ~A Breath of Heart~: There’s a remote town in Japan where everyone has superpowers, but if they leave the town they instantly forget about it. Oops, i guess I just spoiled Wind’s midgame, but I have to since Sagrada Reset puts this stuff right upfront because it has to discuss technicalities (at length) to make its plot work. Yeah, that’s how I like my magical realism, thoroughly explained and conceived by people who should write wikis, not fiction. There’s a girl who can reset time, but only once per arbitrary period of time and also including herself, which means she only finds out she already did it once it doesn’t work again. So that’s pretty useless, except there’s a guy whose superpower is having his memory unaffected by this. They have to work together to solve... some problems, I suppose. This whole idea seems to have potential in a JoJo subplot sort of way, but it’s completely sunk by the way the thing is written, since apparently the writer has never met a human being in his life. It’s entirely made of these pseudo-deep highschool stoner philosophy conversations presented in a lifeless inflection by people who stand around like robots on battery saver mode. This seems to be intentional (at least the term “robot” is thrown around a couple of times, which is certainly ominous), but it also makes for an excruciating and interminable watching experience.

Sakura Quest

Since Sakura Quest was announced, I have been gleefully throwing water on the hype of people who expected this to be the next Shirobako. After all, how likely is it for lightning to strike twice, especially considering Mizushima is not in the director’s seat? Surely it was all just wishful thinking, I want a S2 of Shirobako as much as everyone but I just don’t trust anime. Well consider me fucking told, since apparently among the parties wishing for more Shirobako is P.A. Works, and unlike the anitwitterati they can make it happen. The actual brand name seems to be reserved for a Mizushima project, but I would have no trouble believing that Sakura Quest is a spinoff about Aoi’s sister in the boonies; Shirobako Sunshine, if you will. The initial setup is mirrored here; Yoshino is not a young professional starting her dream job, but a young professional unable to score a dream job (or any job) so she settles for a random one she’s very skeptical of, but will undoubtedly learn to love. Apart from that, well, it’s Shirobako: The positive tone, the large cast of likeable oddballs, the relatable writing about post-highschool problems, and it even looks completely identical. I’ll still be realistic about it: Shirobako isn’t great for what its ideas were, but for how thoroughly it delivered in the long run, and this is by no means guaranteed to also happen with Sakura Reset Quest. For an episode 1 though, it’s like a dream come true, and P.A. are setting themselves up for seasonal double domination with this and Uchouten Kazoku S2.

Souryo to Majiwaru Shikiyoku no Yoru ni

Enough gushing, here’s 5 minutes of porn. Okay, it’s josei porn so there may still be gushing involved if you know what I mean, nyuk nyuk. Er, sorry about that. Sooooo there’s a sexually frustrated woman who meets her school crush who’s now a priest, and then they fuck. With a staff made up mostly of (non-josei, but hey) hentai OVA veterans, there is really only one way this could go. I appreciate the brazenness as usual, but I really don’t know how much steamy harlequin romance tailored to TV broadcast standards I want to watch.

Tsugumomo

I’ve seen some warnings about Tsugumomo based on its source material which is a manga with 1. a very high level of art quality and 2. content that has been described as “makes To-Love Ru Darkness look family friendly”. This may explain why it has not been licensed. It doesn’t explain why this first episode is fairly tame though; sure, it’s very much an ecchi comedy, but you get those from time to time and Tsugumomo is not any more raunchy than what I’m used to seeing (and it accomplishes this even without obvious BD-advert censoring). That incidentally also removes any reason to watch it: The plot is as basic “guy gets magical girlfriend for purposes of fights and/or walking in on her naked in the bath” from 15 years ago as they come, and it’s suspiciously well animated, but not well enough for that to be a selling point. Maybe it will get real skeevy eventually, I won’t be around to find out.

Warau Salesman NEW

Warau Salesman starts strong with ultra cool, Saul Bass-inspired opening credits, but that’s about all it has to offer. It’s based on a “black comedy” manga from the 60s by one of the Doraemon authors, and oh boy can you tell. Not only are the character designs 60s-tastic (so at least the Osomatsu-san fujos can schlick to something while they wait for the S2 of that), but so are the sensibilities: The titular salesman goes around tempting frustrated office workers with doing something moderately irresponsible, such as drinking in your lunch break or spending above your means, and then ruins their life when they actually do it. It’s like Twilight Zone written by your HR department. In the 60s. This stuff would have been outdated even in 1989, when it was animated for the first time – hence the “NEW”. I don’t know, it just seems mean-spirited, obvious and pointless, and most importantly I put the “black comedy” in quotes because in addition to not being very black, it’s not funny in any way, and unlike regular anime comedy I can’t even see what’s supposed to be funny.

Eorzea Collection account go!

And now I have an Eorzea Collection account for Alice’s glams! (and maybe Fordola’s one day?) :D

First up on there is the second outfit I did for my FC’s costume contest - a cosplay of Remilia Scarlet from Touhou Project.

I’ve been a Touhou fan for… goodness, I don’t know how many years at this point… and you can definitely tell how it’s influenced my sense of style. I might do more cosplays from that series in the future, and of course I’ll be uploading all of Alice’s Rozen Maiden glams to EC eventually too!

(I do find it funny that my main and my alt are like… polar opposite ends of the lesbian fashion spectrum haha. Alice for my love of hyperfemme gothic lolita stuff, Fordola for exploring a more butch/masc look… meanwhile IRL fashion I still find super intimidating no matter which direction. Yay for MMOs being a fun and low stakes playground to experiment in. :3)

Hello! I’m Alice,* and I’ve been playing FFXIV for about two and a half years now. I just finished Dawntrail, and it’s the first time I’ve ever been fully caught up on the MSQ!

Since my main blog (thewhitefluffyhat) mostly focuses on other fandoms, I decided to make this side blog to collect my various FFXIV projects and thoughts. These will mostly come in two flavors, associated with my main and my alt!

Main: Alice Rozen

This is my main, Alice Rozen! I do have some lore for her - the basic idea is that she’s the theoretical character of the same name if the broad strokes of Rozen Maiden happened in Eorzea by way of that spooky Gridanian goldsmith - but the primary thing I do with her is glam and cosplay.

In particular, all her job role glams are themed after the Rozen Maiden dolls, and one of my first priorities will be to do some updated photoshoots of them with the new graphics for Eorzea Collection.

(*I realize the distinction between Alice-the-player and Alice-the-character is a bit confusing but ‘thewhitefluffyhat’ is a mouthful so everyone in my FC just called me by Alice’s name and it stuck. Ah well, it's not like I RP in-character as Alice very often...)

Alt: Fordola Lupis

In addition to Alice, I also have an NPC cosplay alt of Fordola! Who exists because I finished Stormblood on my main, realized there probably wouldn’t be much Fordola in the next expansion, and then played the game again from the beginning just so I could drag this dumbass kicking and screaming through Shadowbringers.

Anyway I’m very much a yuri fan, so while I do love Arenvald, most of the Fordola stuff I’ll be posting is Fordola/Lyse.

Eventually, I really want to do a series of mini-fanfic posts telling the story of what happened so differently in Stormblood that Fordola ends up in the role of the Warrior of Light… once I get more experience with posing, that is!
