Yelling abt Killian and Liam's parents yet again (not complaining about Alice, she's a queen and I love her)
We saw NEITHER of them in the underworld. And I get the whole "Alice was a good person so she moved on" NO THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS
The afterlife in ouat doesn't revolve around good and evil, it revolves around unfinished business, and *points to Killian and Liam* THAT'S UNFINISHED BUSINESS
So unless someone chucked her in the soul river, she should be there and after TWO HUNDRED YEARS Liam would have found her and would have taken Killian to her
ALSO Brennan has SO MUCH unfinished business oh my god. A small list for u
Liam 1
Killian
His sons
The children he abandoned
HIS FUCKING SONS
HIS FUCKING CRIMES
Liam 2 (he files under sons but I wanted to give him a special mention)
Emma needs to beat his ass
So unless someone chucked HIM in the soul river HE SHOULD'VE BEEN THERE AND THERE SHOULD'VE BEEN A LIL SIDEPLOT WITH HIM but he doesn't get to be happy in this side plot just so u know
Also I needed this interaction between Killian and Liam
Killian: By the way I....sort of killed father
Liam, patting him on the back: NICE great job
Liam got pissy ay MENTIONS of Brennan he would not be upset that Killian murdered him. Also Liam murdered that whole ship full of people back in the day after LITERALLY making a deal with the devil he doesn't get to have negative opinions on these things
So yes give me Brennan and Alice in the underworld and if I can't have Liam come back to Storybrooke I want him to move on with Alice so he's not all alone in the afterlife thank you for coming to my ted talk

Mother Dearest
Part Three
Pairing: FP Jones x Female!Reader
Warnings: talk of the past
Words: 1k
Summery: Jughead's Mom tells him some good advice
Previous | Next
The ride to Betty’s house was filed with chatter. Betty was constantly asking questions about Jug from when he was younger and you willingly supplied the blackmail about your son with a grin on your face. His face was set in an amused grimace as you told Betty and JB the stories.
But it all came to a halt as you pulled up in front of Betty’s house. Jug got out with Betty and walked her to the door, both talking about something or other. You watched with a small grin on your lips as you watched them, making you remember when Fp did the same to you when you were teens.
Flashback A younger you sat in Pop’s diner in a booth while a younger Fp sat across from you. You were both smiling and laughing at some of the stories he was telling about something embarrassing that happened to Fred. Your grin never fell from your face as you and Fp sat in the diner for hours before you started to notice the sky started to darken. “I outta get you home, Ms. L/N.” Fp said as he took his wallet out and put some bills down to cover the meal you two had. You grabbed your leather jacket as he did the same. He stood from the booth and held out his hand as you moved to do the same and you grabbed it as he helped you stand. You both turned to the door as he put his arm around your shoulder and started to make your way out. “Did you enjoy yourself?” Fp asked as he held the door open. You walked out and stepped down the stairs that was in front of the door and out your jacket on. You looked at him and raised your eyebrow. “When do I not, babe?” You asked rhetorically. He chuckled as you moved to his bike that he took you out on. He insisted to use just his even though you had your own. You thought he just wanted to feel your body pressed against his as you cruised down the roads. Which you were right. He loved the feeling of you pressed against him. Not even in a sexual way, he just loved the contact with you. Flashback End
The memory faded from your mind as you noticed the bitch from hell had opened the door while Jug and Betty were standing there. You narrowed your eyes at the woman that almost ruined your relationship with Fp in senior year. You two used to be best friends, until you found out that she tried to say that she was pregnant with Fp’s baby. Which you never believed for a minute as the story she told you was a lie.
She had told you that Fp came onto her at a party one weekend and you caught her in a lie because that weekend you and him had spent on the campgrounds on the water. Turns out she was trying to get him to herself. Which ended up backfiring in her face when Fp proposed to you at graduation.
Over 20 years later and here you both were, with kids and lives totally opposite of what you had dreamed when you were kids.
You were knocked out of your thoughts as Jug opened the door and jumped in and almost slammed the door as he sat there, breathing hard threw his nose. You looked over and saw Alice glaring at you with ice shards threw the window that faced the streets. You grinned sarcastically at her as you looked back at Jughead.
You watched him for a second. “What’s up, buttercup?” You asked as you put the truck in drive and pulled out onto the road.
“Nothing.” He mumbled as he crossed his arms and turned to look out the window to watch the scenery pass by.
“Hmmm…” You hummed. You didn’t say anything because you knew sooner or later he was going to say something. This is how you always got him to talk. He just couldn’t keep anything from you.
He heaved a big sigh as he uncrossed his arms and slapped his hands on his thighs. “It’s just…” He paused as he tried to put his thoughts into words. “It’s just the fact that Mrs. Cooper is always talking bad about you and Dad… It irks me so much with what she says about you and Dad.” He ranted as he started to wipe the palms of his hands on his pants. It’s always been a tick of his when he get aggravated.
“Jughead, honey. You can’t stop other people from thinking about us like that.” You started off as you watched the road. “You know who we are, right?” You asked him.
He sighed. “Yes.” He nodded.
“Then that is all you need to know. If you want to know certain things about us, just ask. Me and your dad has always tried to be open with you and Jellybean since you were old enough to speak and understand things.” You said to him as you pulled up to the trailer. You put the truck in park turned to him as Jellybean got out and made her way to the door with her key. Only after looking between you and Jug for a second. “People like Alice and Hal Cooper have been looking down on me and your dad since high school, baby. We learned to push it away because what they thought didn’t and shouldn’t effect us in any way. It didn’t effect the fact that me and your dad love each other so much. Nor did it effect how we wanted to live our lives.”
You looked at Jughead and he kept his head down while he messed with a hole in his jeans. Although you did see a tug at his lips from this angle.
You laughed softly as you grabbed the back of his head and pulled him to you and bumped heads with affection making him laugh. “Now, let’s go in. Don’t want to worry your dad anymore than we have.” You said as you both looked over and saw Fp standing in the doorway of the trailer with his hands in his pockets.

Significant WAG AA Scores under the 2022-24 Code of Points
This is not a complete list, it's a rough attempt to show where people stand. I have only included domestic meets if I have no other choice to reflect that gymnast but you should take them with a huge heaping of salt. I included a number of juniors who are Paris eligible.

I know I’ve said this sort of thing before, but was thinking again today of how much Nish Kumar is both objectively a very good comedian, and for my subjective tastes, the perfect comedian. He covers all my interests. He does the satirical stuff with the (mostly) older generation and the newer panel shows with the younger (well, comparatively younger) TV comedians. Equally at home on The Bugle or on Taskmaster, on The News Quiz or on Hypothetical.
I’ve heard people say that Nish’s appearance on Taskmaster was funny, because at that time he was known as the smart political comedian from The Mash Report, and this showed a very different side to him. I watched Taskmaster before I watched The Mash Report, but I did already know who Nish Kumar was by then, because I’d been listening to The News Quiz for years. So the Taskmaster version of Nish Kumar didn’t surprise me because he was less competent than the Mash Report version – it surprised me because he was much sillier, and less competent, than the News Quiz version.
Incidentally, I’d never actually seen Nish Kumar before I watched Taskmaster in March 2020, I’d only heard his voice on the radio. When I was watched Taskmaster, I was shocked to learn he’s only a few years older than me – I’d pictured him as being 15 or 20 years my senior, as I pictured most people on Radio Four whose faces I’d never seen.
Anyway. The point is that Nish Kumar is everything I like, across the board. Hangs out with the Josh Widdicombe/Ed Gamble/Rose Matafeo/James Acaster crowd, and this makes for good chemistry on panel shows and things. But also does a lot to carry on the legacy of the Chocolate Milk Gang, and has cited Andy Zaltzman, John Oliver, Daniel Kitson, and David O’Doherty as people he looks up to in comedy. And, you know, sometimes as adoptive fathers.
(This isn’t the point of this post, but the picture from which that was cut is awesome and I’ll take any excuse to post it:
I’m 90% sure it’s the 2003 Melbourne Comedy Festival. Also, the last time I posted this I said it had Dave Gorman, Glenn Wool, Lee Mack, Jason Byrne, Adam Hills, Daniel Kitson, David O’Doherty, and Noel Fielding, but I’ve only just noticed Danny Bhoy and Dan Antopolski in the back as well. Anyway, I digress. Back to Nish Kumar.)
He gets on The Bugle and takes on niche aspects of political systems with Andy Zaltzman and Alice Fraser. Then he fails to kick a basketball on Taskmaster. Then he releases two comedy albums that are some of the smartest political comedy from the post-Brexit era. Then he goes on Question Team and makes me fall over laughing with his round about takeaway prices. Then he’s on The Mash Report pissing people off in the way that most political comedy TV shows don’t, because most political comedy TV shows are not nearly as incisive as that one (also because of racism). Then he’s being bad at numbers with Roisin Conaty on Catsdown. Then he’s doing brilliant stand-up that blends the personal with the political aspects of racism and other larger issues. Then he’s on The Last Leg doing impressions of Josh Widdicombe’s accent. He hosted The News Quiz for a few weeks after Miles Jupp left, auditioning for the job against Angela Barnes and Andy Zaltzman. When they gave it to Andy instead of him, on the next Bugle episode he went out of his way to tell the audience that Andy won’t brag about it himself but they should know how big a deal it is and how much Andy Zaltzman deserves the position.
He’s hyping up Andy Zaltzman and messing around with James Acaster and performing with Daniel Kitson and drinking whiskey wrong with Mark Watson and knocking over Rosie Jones and writing newspapers with Josh Widdicombe and picking fights with Piers Morgan to defend John Oliver’s honour. He’s all the great things, and specifically he’s all the things I like best. He’s just the best one.
And, in case I haven’t emphasized it enough, the things he does with everyone else aside, his own material is fantastic. When the filmed version of Your Power Your Control finally gets released, I will not let anyone I know get away with not watching it. I already took my best friend to see it live in Montreal, and he... did not much like it. Not his sort of humour; I guess he’s just not into complex and intelligent ruminations on the personal in the political with anger and conviction and, yes Daily Mail writers, also lots of great jokes. Actually, the thing that’s really not my best friend’s type of humour is “British” (his words, not mine). You can see why I made this blog; if I didn’t get to get rid of all these thoughts online, I wouldn’t have any friends left. But I’m going to make everyone watch Nish Kumar anyway.

“Oh, Merlin, tell me, does THE KING OF CUPS get what he deserves?” He is in THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX & OPEN to finding out.
— he walks through the world as ;
name → dougal mckinnon pronouns → him/he identification → cis male year of birth → september 1951 - september 1952 face claim → kendrick sampson blood status → pure-blood sexual orientation → up to applicant occupation → senior researcher for the department of magical law enforcement at the ministry of magic future information → married to annabeth pebworth
— he is best described as ;
A LION'S BREATH roaring in the blazing sun, they are the STRENGTH of an OLD OAK yet the waring weight held in its years. The SURE STEP of a WISE MAN, he is the CONSTANCE of day break PROUD and PROTECTIVE in it’s overwhelming MIGHT, yet the quiver of BURDENED RESPONSIBILITY forced into the light of day by UNYIELDED DEVOTION at its amber dawn.
— his story starts with ;
tw: death
Raised on scottish bravery and the freedom of the skies, Dougal is as daring as any Mckinnon that came before him. With his mother a socialite from Paris, she took great care to ensure her children knew etique, language and politics. While their father - who worked for the Dragon Research and Restraint Bureau within the Ministry - bolstered courage, with flying lessons and dragon eggs, even for a child of the wizarding world Dougal’s youth was vibrant. The thrills of adventure set him alight. Screaming into the sunset as Hebridean Black dragons dominated the skies, they soared through Scottish valleys and dove into locks exploring the creatures that lurked in their depths. For eight years he grew an only child. Books towered the tables in his room, with wizarding punk posters overlapping pinned anecdotes of muggle folktales; he thrived under the encouragement of his parents' love and the stubborn companionship of his fellow islanders. The eldest of four, with an eight years difference between him and the youngest, he took on an over protective role of MARLENE [sister], NATHAIR [brother] and COINNEACH [brother] often when he didn't need to. He loved them all with pride, fulfilling his big brother duties with compassion as his temperament made them squeal with delight.
Adamant in his valiance, he longed to be a hero fighting for the voiceless. Following in the footsteps of the fabled heroes he admired; Dougal daydreamed of taking down villains like Robin Hood, bolstering with ROBERT MCGONAGALL [best friend] by his side. Sword fighting like knights, they charted maps of hidden caves, and taught his siblings to fly. Until his brother knocked an unsuspecting young girl off her feet. ANNABETH PEBWORTH [best friend/fiance] was poised with a quick witted remark and disregard of his help. Maddening even from a young age, they were similar in more ways than one. Competitive as they bustled for first place, for a man so used to being right, she had an alarming ability to disarm him. He loved her from the start. While it took time for her love to grow, his affection for her was one thing he couldn’t shake; even as they joined Hogwarts together. Filled with lion hearted pride, Gryffindor boosted his morale as he wrangled with the best of them; FRANK LONGBOTTOM [best friend], ALICE YEN [close friend], HESTIA JONES [friend], IAIN WOOD [best friend] and AMOS DIGGORY [friend]. Eating rogue plants Frank discovered in Herbology to challenging Iain to fly around the Whomping Willow; without the need to be the protector, Dougal thrived with the reckless hearts of youth and merlin did he bask in their glory.
A chaser for the quidditch team, a Prefect and Slug Club member; achieving greatness was his aim even if his quaking black and white morals left him in detention from dueling whichever pure blood asshole decided to throw a sneering comment that week. Graduating with honors, while his years were spent fixating on the history of the ministry of magic, Annabeth brought entertainment to life. Tightly wound with the pressures of success, she pulled him out of books animatedly recounting 50s horror movies or singing - out of tune - to The Rolling Stones. With his long-eared owl flying notes between them; barely a day passed where they didn’t exchange a glance or a taunting jab from across the room. Until, everything fell apart. Ravaged home land, fire fury scorched the Highlands as dragons cried for their young against wix in search of loot. Dougal and Annabeth dove into action without a moment's thought. Fighting to protect their home alongside CATRIONA MCCORMACK [friend] and the McFusty clan; sparks flew as duels ensued. Paranoid for Annabeth’s safety, he let his guard down for a second when a scream pierced through the cliffs as ISLA PEBWORTH [acquaintance] got caught between a spell and a dragon and vanished. Eggs captured, the raiders fled leaving nothing but devastation in their wake.
Grieving the loss of her sibling, all he could do was offer Annabeth patience, a shoulder and time. While she blamed herself for their death, Dougal only blamed himself. He’d been weak and he vowed then it wouldn’t be something he possessed. Valuing order and respect he saw The Ministry of Magic as a force of undeniable change. Situating himself within law and order offered Dougal the opportunity to make a lasting impact. Over the next ten years, he established himself as a key member within the Ministry. Years spent hunched over theseus by candlelight, he grew as noble as a knight and as wise as a king. Researching past prosecutions, he found patterns. Just like the maps he’d once made, he plotted tactics, pinned research and devoted time to unraveling cases as if they were the fables he once loved. While others such as RODOLPHUS LESTRANGE [co-worker] saw cases as games of victory; Dougal saw the people. Compassionate with a selfless drive, his dedication to actively helping others was his shining quality. And one that didn’t go unnoticed by his best friend's sister, MINERVA MCGONAGALL [acquaintance]. She spoke of The Order of the Phoenix, an underground establishment fighting against blood-purity. He’d signed his name before she’d even finished her sentence.
But rationality in the establishment wasn't the reality he'd hoped for. Instead of decisive action, he was met with passive evations of truth. With an increasing number of cases letting justice slip, at every turn Wizengamot fell to the whims of the elite as they favored their peers over law. With one being the ruler of that domain; JAE MULCIBER [rival]. In all his arrogance he reigned over prosecution as if he were Merlin’s gift. Sharp arguments combined with his devilish intellect left his smirk even the more bittersweet and Dougal desperately wanting to punch it off his face. For a time NAMARI NGUYEN [best friend/co-worker] agreed, until she fell for that grin. A blunt and direct witch, Dougal appreciated her sarcastic dry humor even if he didn’t approve of her bed fellow. Liberators, having joined The Order together, while his research skills and rational thinking were his assets; her ability to formulate plans and cut through illusions was hers. While in work they became recognised for taking down villains, outside they bartered on wizard chess and battled over their opposing quidditch teams with rolls of their eyes from their peers. Akin with Robert and Annabeth, Namari fit like a puzzle in their trio, until the news of Namari’s death hit The Daily Prophet.
Labeled a closed case by The Ministry, with wounds matching that of BOOKER BAGNOLD [person of interest], her death was labeled another murder by the infamous SILAS CRUMP [person of interest]. Convinced the tale was fabricated by BARTEMIUS CROUCH SR [boss/rival] to keep the peace, with the help of The Order, Dougal is set on finding the truth no matter the cost. Seeking Namari’s autopsy from KEIRA GREY [friend] and coming up with no answers, with stolen photographs and CELIA ABBOTT [acquaintance] offering her expertise in wounds inflicted by creatures; he is hoping to begin to unravel the mystery behind her death. With LACHESIS MALFOY [rival], EDRICK SELWYN [rival] and Jae recorded as the last to see her alive; he is holding them as suspects and keeping an eye out for clues about the night of her disappearance. With late nights at the junk shop offering distractions from home conflicts with Nathair’s traditionalist ideas against his engagement to Annabeth, Dougal is trying to focus his mind on what he can control. But is he delusional from guilt, or was that really the lingering white hue of Namari he saw in the corner of his eye down Knockturn Alley?
— he is a LEVEL 8 WIZARD & readied for war ;

A taste of home
So, I missed Bughead Appreciation week ( @bugheadcentral ) but here is the start to my first ever Bughead fic - its a coffee shop au. Hope you enjoy!
Betty Cooper has always loved the idea of having a coffee shop, so instead of heading off to college like all of her classmates, she used her tuition money to open a café. With summer just around the corner, all of her college workers are headed home and she is in desperate need of a new employee. Jughead Jones has left home for the first time and is struggling to finish his book. On his own, he is in need of an easy job to help him stay on his feet while he sorts out the mess that is his manuscript.
Betty can't help but get wrapped up in the enigma of who Jughead is, all the while dealing with her own darkness that she thought she had dealt with years ago.
Chapter One
“Wait, what?” Betty snapped her attention to the conversation happening in front of her. “You’re not going to be here this summer?”
“I know I said that I would help out at the shop, but it’s the summer before my senior year and I want to have some fun!” Polly bounced as she talked.
“You’re acting like this is your senior year of high school all over again…you’re going to be graduating with your bachelors soon, getting a real job…you can’t just go gallivanting off acting like a teenager!” Betty threw her hands out in frustration.
“I would say you sound like mom right now, but she seems happy for me.” Polly gestured across the table.
“I am happy for you.” Alice smiled. “Betty, your sister is intitled to a little fun after all of the hard work she has put in.”
Betty huffed and crossed her arms. What was she going to do now? All of her regular help was heading home for the summer and Polly had been her only backup.
“Betty, be happy for me – I found someone who really cares for me.” Polly leaned across the table, placing her hand on Betty’s arm.
“I am happy for you,” she sighed in resignation and grabbed Polly’s hand, squeezing it. “I can tell Jason really makes you happy.”
“He does!” She smiled brightly. Betty tried to smile back at her, but her concern took over and she knew it came off as more of a grimace. “What?”
“Its just…” her eyebrows pinched in concern, “Poll, are you sure you want to go back to Riverdale?”
“I’ll be fine, Betty.” Polly rolled her eyes and turned her attention to her mom, making plans for the trip.
Betty ignored them both and started working around in her head how she was going to run a coffee shop with only two employees, one of which was only available part time.
That night at dinner with Archie and Veronica, she shared her frustrations and concerns. The café had been open for less than two years; she knew they were still making their impression on the city and was worried how something like this was going to affect that.
“Don’t worry Betty! I know the perfect person to help you out!” Archie beamed at her.
--
Betty stood behind the counter and clicked her tongue as she looked at the man who was sitting in a booth, waiting to be interviewed. He had a flannel tied around his waist and wore a leather jacket, with his hair messily tucked into a beanie.
She raised an eyebrow after staring at him a moment longer and turned to Archie. “Why would someone like him want to work at a coffee shop?”
Archie smirked and shook his head. “Listen, I’ve known Jughead – ”
“Jughead?” she asked skeptically.
“I’ve known him for a long time…he’s just looking for something to help him get by for a few months. He’s a good guy and the hard biker exterior is not an honest reflection.” He picked up his mostly cold coffee and threw back the rest. “I’ve got to get going.” He stood up and slid his jacket on. “Just, give him a chance, will you?”
Betty sighed and looked at him, slightly exasperated, before finally nodding. “Yeah, yeah.”
“Thanks!” Archie grinned as he picked up his guitar case and walked over to the man. “Jug – dinner?”
“Yeah, seven o’clock, right?” Jug reached out his hand and Archie slapped.
Archie nodded, “See ya then!” And then he was out the door and the man, Jughead, was looking at her.
She sighed and straightened her apron before walking around the counter.
“Betty Cooper, I presume,” he said, giving her a very self-assured smile.
“Jughead?” she asked, sitting down in the booth across from him.
“Last name’s Jones.” He held his hand out to her.
She looked at his hand and slowly reached up to shake it. “Jughead your legal first name?”
“I never reveal my secret identity on a first date.” He winked.
Betty scoffed, “This is far from a date.”
“You never know.” His smile turned into a very self-satisfied grin.
She shook her head, smiling, and relaxed back into the booth. “So, any experience working in a café?”
“Does spending a lot of time in coffee shops drinking a ton of caffeine count?” he asked with sarcastic wondering.
She bit the inside of her cheek to keep from smiling again, annoyed that his sarcastic charm was working on her so quickly.
“Sorry,” he chuckled quietly before sighing. “Uhh, no. I’ve never worked at a café before, but I am a quick study and a hard worker.”
She nodded. “Are you currently working?”
“Not at the moment.” He shifted in his seat.
“Where did you work last?”
“I’ve done some odd jobs here or there…” He shifted in his seat again, this time seeming uncomfortable. “Uhh, Archie didn’t tell you much about me, did he?”
She squinted at him. “What do you mean?”
Jughead shook his head. “Nothing…listen, I’m gonna be honest, I don’t sound great on paper, but I promise that in real life, I’m worth the chance.”
Betty leaned forward and crossed her arms on the table. “Alright, Jones,” she said after a moment as she stood up, “show me what you got.”
--
Betty was pleasantly surprised to see just how quickly Jughead caught on. Sure, he needed to be shown the basics, such as where the coffee grounds were and which blender you had to hold the lid down on if you didn’t want the drink to go everywhere, but after watching her make a drink once he was able to reproduce it quickly. He was also ridiculously good with the customers.
“Have a good day.” He waved to a smiling older couple as they left.
Betty leaned on the counter next to him, “I have never seen either of them smile before.”
“Some people just have the magic touch.” He smirked at her and started cleaning the counter.
Smiling to herself she straightened up and watched him clean a moment longer. “Well,” she said as she put her hands on her hips, “I guess if I want you to keep showing up to work, I should probably make sure you get paid.” Jug looked at her, an eyebrow raised. “The jobs yours if you want it.” She held out her hand.
“Sold!” He grinned and shook her hand tightly.
She giggled quietly and shook her head. “Katy will help you get all the paperwork filled out.”
--
The first week of the university’s summer break was slow. There were no classes for students to rush to, no exams to stay up late studying for, and no term papers that required hours of work. When this happened the year before, Betty had been nervous. They opened just as classes were starting and business came steadily but as soon as summer break was upon them, the customers dropped off. But by the next week, the locals seemed to have emerged from their hiding places during the semester and they were back up and running as usual.
This year she took the time to do inventory, make minor repairs that had only been slightly inconvenient (but left for much longer could have been disastrous), and get to know Jughead Jones. She realized Archie had been right when he said that the biker cliché was not a reflection of who Jug really was. He always seemed to be filling the quiet space that had developed at the lack of college students and she quickly realized that he was funny, sarcastic, and kind.
As business started to pick back up, Betty also got to see a different side of Jug, the serious, pensive, and sometimes incredibly self-deprecating side that would appear when the café was full, and he thought no one was looking. It made her wonder if the space that he filled when it was quiet was fueled by something deeper than wanting to make her laugh.
He told her about his dad and his drinking problem when Jug was younger but that he had turned his act around and got sober to keep their family together. He had shared with her that despite his dad’s change his mom ended up leaving anyways. He explained that she had tried to take his sister, Jellybean, with her but that his dad took her to court and got full custody of them both, which was for the best as his mom ran off and started running drugs. He told her about the South Side Serpents and how as king, his dad had turned them around, setting them straight and making sure they weren’t dealing in anything “too illegal”.
“Wait a minute!” she interrupted by grabbing his forearm. “South Side Serpents…as in Riverdale’s Serpents?”
“You know of any other Serpents?” he asked, raising an eyebrow, a smug look on his face.
She stared at him a moment longer, realization finally dawning on her.
“Oh my gosh! You’re Forsythe!” She tossed her hands up in triumph, wondering why he had always seemed familiar to her.
“I was wondering how long it was going to take you to put all the pieces together!” he laughed.
“Wait!” She cocked her head and put her hands on her hips, “Did you tell Archie not to say anything?”
“Possibly.” He smirked. “I figured you would eventually get there.”
He told her about his novel that he was working on and that he had spent the time since graduating high school working on it. He had taken a few English and Writing courses over the last two years, but none of them seemed to make much of a difference for him. He explained that he had been working on this book since he was a freshman and had started sending it to publishers at his dad’s urging, but they all told him the same thing: “This is fantastic! But the ending is just missing something…you fix that ending and you’ve got yourself a deal!” But for the last six months, he hadn’t been able to come up with anything new.
“Which is how I ended up here.” He gestured around the coffee shop. “I helped my dad run the serpents when I graduated, and we did a lot of good around Riverdale. He appreciated the help and supported me with my writing the whole time…but after my last rejection letter” he leaned on the counter, looking slightly ashamed, “I uhh, I started sleeping a lot and staying at home all the time. He told me I needed a change of pace, just to see if anything shakes loose.” He threw his voice, imitating his father. “When I told Arch he said I could stay with him over the summer.”
“Can I read it?” she asked hopefully, a strong desire to consume his written words blooming in her chest.
“Uhh, no.” He shook his head and straightened up, grabbing a rag to go wipe down the booths.
“And why not?” She followed him. “A different perspective could help.”
“The only other people to have read my book so far have told me that the ending is trash…I think I will pass on the judgement from my boss, thanks,” he snarked. “Besides, I’ve been pouring my heart out over here, telling you my life story with no reciprocation.”
She looked at him for a moment thinking. Most people who knew the story behind her life usually ended up putting distance between them and her, running away, afraid of what she might do. But then again, Jug had lived in Riverdale, there was no way he didn’t already know her family’s past. So, she told him.
She shared that up till she was 8 years old, she thought her family was perfectly normal. That her parents were perfectly normal, that her sister was perfectly normal, that she was perfectly normal. That was until her mom found her dad with a dead body stuffed in the trunk of their car. Her mom had taken her and Polly to see a movie, but her sister ended up getting sick not even five minutes into the previews and they had to go home. She told him that she remembered the look of pure terror on her father’s face when they pulled into the garage and that he had become furious with them for being home early and ushered them inside quickly.
She recounted her experience of her father’s arrest and how scared she and Polly had been. It wasn’t until the next day that her mother sat them down and explained what he had been doing. Over the next few months as the investigation went on, it was revealed that he had killed four other people as well. Once that news broke, her mother had packed them up quickly and left Riverdale.
“I was at Archie’s house that day, when you guys left.” He looked up at her. “I remember thinking that it wasn’t fair that you guys had to leave just because of what your dad had done.
Betty shrugged. “Moving wasn’t all that bad.” She smiled remembering the years after the move. “The three of us got really close actually…I always wonder how things between us would have changed had dad still been in our lives.”
“I don’t want to think what could have happened to you had he been there.” His voice was low and his eyes dark, sparking something inside of her that she tried to ignore.
“Yea,” she turned away, “maybe you’re right.”
She was surprised to find herself so easily telling him about her father’s death and how it had affected her. She had been 15 when he was stabbed by another inmate, and it had hit her hard…so hard that her mother ended up taking her to therapy after finding scars from her nails on her palms.
“JB and I went to therapy for a short time after my parents split…I liked it.” He gave her an understanding smile and for the first time Betty was actually glad she had shared this with someone.

College AU
Alice Kirkland is a senior English major who just needs one more general education elective to graduate. Unfortunately that Gen Ed is physics, the subject she despises the most out of anything. Amelia Jones is a senior Physics major who has agreed to TA for the freshman physics class in hopes of getting a good recommendation letter from her advisor, but one student in the class might just cause her even more trouble than it's worth.

Okay okay but hear me out… what if Killian’s and Liam’s mother was a selkie? Does that headcanon exist? Because I can’t be the only one that is in love with this concept. Because, think about it. First of all, Brennan Jones is exactly the kind of guy that would steal a selkie’s seal skin and lie about it and manipulate her, because she was beautiful and he felt entitled to “have her”. And maybe the selkie heritage is why the brothers Jones have wanderlust and a longing for the sea in their veins. I have so many headcanons about her already but they’re maybe a bit too tragic… anyway, this is a manifesto of my selkie mama Jones propaganda
#selkie mama jones#fuck brennan jones#as usual#killian jones#liam jones#brennan jones#the jones family headcanons#killian jones headcanons#mama jones headcanons#i didn’t watch season 7 so i don’t know if we learn more about her than that apparently her name was alice#and that she used to sing lullabies#but i have my own version of her that i really care about#alice jones senior#selkie

Any headcanons you'd like to share about Killian and Liam 1's mother?
YES!!
Okay, this one isn't mine but @happy-emma's, Alice being a selkie lives rent free in my head
It's never said how she died but the general headcanon accepted by the fandom is that she was sick and that makes sense BUT I am a cruel fiend. I think Brennan poisoned her.
She and Brennan definitely were an unloving marriage, especially after the boys were born (Brennan is a dick, Alice thinks that children are humans and should be treated as such, fued ensues)
I like to think she taught Liam to read (she would've taught Killian, but he was little when she passed)
She definitely went on walks with the boys, especially along the beach (assuming they lived near a beach, which is my personal headcanon)
She had curly hair like Liam and I will fight someone on that.
That really all I've got on Mama Jones but thank you for the ask!!
