I feel lost with religion. Alhamdulilah I’m able to pray 5x and wake up for tahajjud but I feel like I’m not doing enough. I’m seeking more knowledge about Islam and end up feeling so overwhelmed by it. I can’t read Arabic so reading the Quran is difficult so I’m reading it in English. Despite this I still feel like I’m not a good enough Muslim how do I fix this 😢

Don’t lose hope in the mercy of Allah swt. Alhumdulillah Wallahi you are far better than those who don’t pray their 5 daily prayers let alone wake up for tahajjud. This is what shaytan makes us do by making us feel bad for not doing enough and not make us appreciate what we’ve been doing despite struggling. Allah swt sees all and knows your struggles . Take it slow and steady , remember you’ve your whole life time to gain knowledge about Islam and learning Arabic and aslong as you don’t let go , that’s all it matters. Whenever you get those thoughts of not feeling like a good enough Muslim, shut them down by busying yourself with dhikr or making dua and asking Allah swt for forgiveness. You’re doing your best and be rest assured your struggle won’t go down in vain , bi idnillah ☝🏽😅

As we close one year we end with Alhumdulillah...

As we enter a new year we start with Bismillah.

What better way to end one year in Sajda @11:59pm & continue past midnite in sajda, beginning a new year in worship of the Al-Mighty.

In the beauty of the night, let's be in prostration speaking to our Beloved, reminding ourself that Time is from Him only & that we are from Him & to Him we return.

We have a lot to thank God for and can never do justice. I also personally thank you all from bottom of my heart.

We can ask for specific x, y, z

but better still lets speak with God & thru the intercession of the Ahlulbayt a.s to say-

"O God, You know our position & what is best for us- please grant us what pleases You & forgive us for our sins & protect us from evil whispering, envy & eyes iA"

All we know is that God is the Best of Planners.

Lets start every act in 2023 with Bismillah iA.

Every Sura starts with Bismillah except Sura Tawba (s9) however Sura 27 has two Bismillahs (at the start and as above in v30).

Imam Ali a.s said "any important job which is done without ALLAH's rememberance is tarnished and useless"

A dua beginning with Bismillah will not be rejected.

Lets start any act iA with this new habit of saying "in the name of God" (BISMILLAH) and face qiblah as much as possible.

We wish you all a successful happy healthy 2023 and beyond iA with imaan and opportunity to serve God and Ahlulbayt a.s and perform Umrah and Ziyarat and trek Kilimanjaro iA :)

Here's my happiness 🥹 alhumdulillah!! I used to think of this how would i manage having a cat, my mom never allowed me to take any cat inside our home but finally by the grace of Allah swt. I've adopted a kitten❤️. Omg my heart is sooo sooo sooo filled with hundreds of emotions and idk how to express this feeling. All i can say is that my life feels quite complete now!! All because of my Allah paak who gave me one of his most lovable creature and now I'm greatful to be mum of one 🥺😶‍🌫️(still counting)

life is different.

it's taken on so much more meaning than i ever thought possible.

in my most depressed of times, i used to genuinely believe that if i just wasn't (in existence) or if i died tomorrow....not really much would change. i mean i was never so depressed or upset that i truly believed my parents wouldn't miss me - i always thought them and my sister would probably be the extent of it. and alhumdulillah for even that.

but there's a new meaning with being the primary caretaker for another living life. whether it's a plant or animal or...in my case, my beautiful little 4 yo son.

to me, he is the coolest.

and i'm not blindsided to his naughty or silly or straight up bad behaviours. i promise.

and i'm not smothering him, or at least i hope to god i'm not.

but...urgh how can i say this without making it feel like the only reason i want to be better, to have a better life anymore, the only reason i feel motivated for much is for the sake of this little human being.

there was a life before esa....and i loved it. and i love it still. i was still whole then and i'm still whole now, but somehow more whole? sorry no, not more whole.

more focused on my purpose.

more focused on my goals.

i have all that other stuff too in life, my friends, my family, all that good stuff.

but it's secondary to my kid.

and....oh god, am i becoming one of those people who is first and foremost a parent before anything else? but i mean...isn't that kind of the job!?

i'm komal - senior analyst, human, wife, daughter, but most importantly, i'm komal - mama. at least while esa still believes i am everything there is (like i did at a time for my own parents). at least while he still believes i can protect him, i am his safety net. at least until that time where he starts to see my flaws and my oddities and starts to judge me like a human. until then, i want to be the best esa's mama that i can be.

i want to stand in his corner and cheer him on. i want my presence, my comfort, my warmth to be what he looks for when he comes home from daycare. i want to give him what a mother wants to give her child - confidence to go and live in the world.

i want him to one day go out and find his person, make his family, and be their source of comfort and care and their safety net because he experienced it himself. and he understands the value of the safety net. and he understands i did right by him (please dear god, let me do right by him).

I hope you have the biggest smile on your face this morning, I wanted to ask for a small favour - in tahajjud or whenever you pray to remember me, I was in talks of getting married to someone I really love, his family got involved and so did my parents suddenly overnight after I told few people finally life changed and my parents woke up saying they want me to finish my degree (I’m 26 doing med) and don’t finish till I’m 30, I don’t want to be speaking to him till I’m 30, I want to make this halal. and ky parents were like that’s our decision and it really is hurting me since life changed overnight for no reason and they’ve only met him couple of times none of the times to speak about how he feels about me but more to do with how he is as a person, if they knew how much he loved me they would give me away in a. Second as he is genuinely the best man alhumdulillah , I would be so grateful since me and him are both really going through it to remember us, who knows who our lord will listen to💓

May Allah make it easy for both you and him inshaAllah, will keep you in my prayers.

Can his parents not try to reason with yours and assure your parents you will still finish your degree. Or can you maybe get a nikkah done then have the walima at a later date when you move in with him? That way it will still be halal and you don’t have to stop talking to him.

i personally am an lgbt / queer muslim revert . i took my shahada in ramadan 2019 alhumdulillah ! i do not consider myself as a part of any sect and am continuously exploring what specific beliefs are right for me / what i believe to be true . i lean towards quranism and follow a generally sunni way of practicing .

i also used to be a hellenic wiccan / pagan . despite no longer following that path , i still feel strong ties to apollo specifically and will post things associated with him as well :] .

my relationship with religion and Allah is complex but it is something that ever fascinates me , so feel free to join me on this journey .
