Episode eighteen: Goodbye to Yesterday (scene 22)

Monday 12:35, Bar de Tapas La Venda, Spanish St. Alfred enters in the bar, and he sees all his friends sitting in their respective stools. He smiles. MIKI: Look who decided to become a regular client, huh? ALFRED: Just got some spare time. I already got back to recording. Alfred sits by Sergey's side. MIKOLAS: And what about your block? ALFRED: It's gone. Miki sighs relieved. MIKI: Cool, because I didn't know how to tell you that  I couldn't contact with Michela. ALFRED: It's okay, Miki! You did what you could and I thank you. MIKI: But I know how important this is for you. SERGEY: Man, I have to thank you again for taking care of Polina. ALFRED: No problem, man. She was who let my block go. SERGEY: Really? ALFRED: Yes... She seemed so afraid and she felt so lonely... Kinda reminded me of when I got here. MIKOLAS: Yeah, when you told us you weren't Amaia's guitarrist? ALFRED: Pretending I was someone who I was not. SERGEY: That day you almost catch your kitchen on fire. Alfred laughs. MIKOLAS: And do you remember the cruise when Sergey...? SERGEY: (interrupts) Stop bringing that topic up whenever you can! MIKI: Oh, good times. Sweet, sweet memories. Who could go back... ALFRED: Uh,not me. I prefer making new memories. MIKOLAS: Is this one of those speeches in which you express how mach you value our friendship and bla bla bla? ALFRED: Yeah, kinda. But I can skip it. SERGEY: Skip it and get to the drinking! Alfred laughs. ALFRED: You'll never change, won't you?

Una noche interminable!!!!

La primera noche nunca terminará... Después de tomar algunos cócteles en un elegante bar, conocimos a algunas personas y, tras algunas bebidas, nos invitaron a la terraza de su edificio para ver los fuegos artificiales de la primera noche, a la 1 de la madrugada.

Después de disfrutar de los extensos fuegos artificiales, decidimos salir a bailar y divertirnos.

Esto fue tomado en uno de los barrios más populares, Ruzafa, alrededor de las 2 de la madrugada!!!

De regreso al apartamento, tuve que detenerme a comprar más churros. No eran los mejores. Quiero decir, Valencia no es realmente famosa por sus churros. Estaban bien....

Alfred has released a new music video and I feel obligated to share it here with you guys because I love him, I love the song, and now I love the music video. Also he’s from OT, Eurovision, and a song of him is in Skam España, so he basically caters all of my needs.

Also, this particular song, “Londres” (”London”) was one of the many he composed during OT, and a lot of people, myself included, knew the lyrics and loved it before even OT ended. Here’s a video of him in the Academy singing a rough version of it:

Episode Eighteen: Goodbye to Yesterday (Scene 20)

Saturday 18:13, Lukas Meijer Church and Convent, Polish Square. Polina opens the door of the Church slowly. She enters on it and Alfred follows her from behind. She approaches to the Christ on the front of the church. She looks at it, as if she wanted to talk to him. ALFRED: Do you want me to leave you alone? Polina turns around and shakes her head. POLINA: Please, stay. Suddenly, another door opens and Polina notices some nuns coming out. They notice her too. DOMINIKA: I remember you! Your name was... POLINA: Polina. DOMINIKA: Polina! Exactly. Tell us, what are you doing here? Polina's eyes start watering again. Alfred and the nuns approach to her. PATRYCJA: (softly) Hey, what's wrong? POLINA: I can't move on. I try but I can't. DOMINIKA: Move on from what, honey? Polina's weeping intensifies. POLINA: Her death. TULIA: Whose death? Alfred steps in. ALFRED: I think she's refering to Sergey's sister. Is it correct? Polina nods while she cries. JOANNA: Here, sweetheart. Take a seat. Polina obeys. JOANNA: Death is a natural thing on life. Whatever happened, it was not your fault. PATRYCJA: God got you. Listen. You can do this. POLINA: I didn't even get to say goodbye. She... She didn't know that I loved her. TULIA: Love is not only expressed with words, Polina. I'm sure she knows wherever she is right now. POLINA: (agitated) No! You don't understand! I loved her! I loved her because I like girls! Alfred sits by her side and he puts a hand on her thigh. ALFRED: Can I tell you something? She nods. ALFRED: Before coming here a year and something ago, I broke up with my girlfriend. I know that it isn't the same as losing someone, but it hurted like so. And I came here, to start over. And with the support of my friends I moved on. They made me believe what I'm worth. They stayed by my side when no one else was. They pushed me foward when I was about to drop my music and my sonwriting. And you know what now? I'm going to release my first album. Just thanks to them. Polina looks at him confused. ALFRED: What I want to say is that you have an amazing crowd of people willing to take you out, to spend time with you and to listen to your cries. And slowly, almost unnoticeable, you will start feeling better and better. Until you move on. He looks at the Christ on the church. ALFRED: There will be days in which you will be feeling down and there will be days in which you will want to die. But eventually everything will be alright. I swear. Alfred tends his hand to her. ALFRED: And if you can't take your first step, we will do for you. Okay? Polina hesitates, but she eventually takes it. POLINA: Okay.
