For the first time I decided to add vegetation to an architecture illustration — mainly because the intricacy of Alexandra Road estate can't be really revealed in a 'flat' view and the result felt quite harsh. IKEA in singapore🇸🇬 "Alexandra" . 2Stores in Singapore, you can take free Shuttle buss!!🚌 . イケア シンガポール！ 国内2店舗あります。私が訪れたAlexandra店と、Tampines Retail Park店。 どちらも最寄りの3駅から無料のシャトルバスが出ています！これは有り難い！ですが.....小型バス(しかも"IKEA"て書いてない！！)で小さい紙に"IKEA"て書いてあるので、とっても見つけ辛いです。バスを利用する際は要注意。 バス時刻表に載ってるバスの画像を目に焼き付けておくのが無難👀 . バスは行列！地元の人が多いようで、帰りはタクシーを利用する人が多数でお店の入り口はタクシーと、タクシー待ちのお客様でごった返していました。(SALE時だったから余計かも。) . 内装は、同じIKEAです。 疲れたからか商品のソファでぐっすり寝てたり、商品のおもちゃで遊びまくってたりするのは日本とは違う....と感じました。 家具でいうと、ドアノブとか電気(照明)とか、DIYのコーナーが大きい、と感じました、地元の人は自分達でインテリアを楽しんでるのか.....。 確かに、ここまで言語も民族も宗教も文化も違えばインテリアにおいても違いを楽しむという思考になるのかも。 . . フードに関しては、、日本とは少し違う商品が。 ソフトクリームがなんと豆乳！スナックとかチョコレートの種類が豊富！！お酒もスウェーデンのビールやリンゴ酒もあり、安くはないけど北欧感を楽しめます！ . 1番羨ましいのは #finland の #Fazer チョコレートが買える事🇫🇮！日本にも入れてくれないかな。。 . シンガポールでもIKEAはやっぱりIKEA🇸🇪✨そして、人気でした。海外行ってIKEAを比べるならレストランとビストロ、フードマーケットがおススメです🌭 (2018.12現在) . . #IKEA #lkeaAlexandra #ikeasingapore #travel #trip #Scandinavia #Alexandraroad #singapore #sg Ikea @ Alexandra IKEA @Alexandra road

I've been desperate to visit brutalism lovers' paradise Rowley Way on the Alexandra Road Estate for a few years now. @kimnicolephotography and I finally visited to get snap happy, and I was glad we won't the only people there with cameras. Designed by Neave Brown in 1968 and complete by '78, this Grade II listed council estate is a wonderful example of how to design high density housing that people actually want to live in. Every property has its own outdoor space, and the rear of the building acts as a sound barrier for the trains that run parallel to the flats.
