Between his drunk, abusive father, his dead mother, and the foster families he’s had to endure since, a college such as this always seemed so impossible, let alone finding someone willing to put up with the baggage of his past. But on arrival, he quickly finds himself tightly entangled with his French roommate’s friend; and finds that maybe, even after it all, there’s someone that he can hold onto.

Or the one where Alex has a complicated past, John Laurens could be a complicated future, and college makes a mess of even the best of people.

This fic is dedicated to both my partner, @a-hamwrotetheother51 and my mutual + friend, @jittyjames. Thank you both for your support in this fandom and out of it; love you dearly, and hope you like this fic!

this is such a great question! ok, let's think about it. so i decided to pair them up (one ith + one (or two) hamilton character(s) with similar vibes i may also drop some quotes to prove my point) and here's how i see it:

usnavi/alexander (it's all about the legacy they left with me, it's destiny/what is a legacy? it's planting seeds in a garden you never get to see + both the caribbean immigrants + both orphans + both can't shut up sometimes i could write a whole essay about it actually): 90s (i don't have any explanation for this one, i just want to see it cause it's a vibe)

vanessa/angelica (if i'm in the mood, it will not be with some dude who is whistling cause he has nothing to say/i'm looking for a mind at work + so this is what it feels like to match wits with someone at your level you see what i did here, right?): DARK ACADEMIA (oh i love this one, i could even make them a moodboard lol)

I always want to be that girl that shines with her super knowledge but I rarely got the chance as we never really discussed the topics I was into 😔 I made a presentation about Alexander Hamilton once, though, and rarely even used wikipedia because I got all my knowledge from the musical :333

Colonial Trade Market - July 2019

So, I decided to participate in the Hamilton Colonial Trade Market in July 2019. A special thanks to @latehamiltontrash for organizing this whole event! It’s a brilliant idea, and I hope this will become a regular event!

Now, when I signed up to participate in this art trade, I was so excited that I temporarily forgot that I can’t art.😅 So, my apologies to my partner if the art I created isn’t good. I tried my best, and hopefully it’s enough!

Anyways, the next portion of this post is for my Colonial Trade Market partner, @eightnoodle. After talking to you, I learned that you specifically like the ship Jamilton. My original plan was to write a Jamilton fanfic, but I just couldn’t find the inspiration to do so. Instead, I decided to create two moodboards, one for Jefferson and one for Hamilton. I hope that will suffice, and enjoy I guess!
