i like the alpha alessia and omega leah pairing do you have any more hcs like pregnant!leah or them as parents? Or leah in heat? Nesting? Just anything!!!!!
Alpha Alessia x Omega Leah General HCs -
Alessia Coming to Arsenal -
Obviously they knew eachother from England camps
Obviously the attraction was there
But it wasnât until lessis first week at arsenal that things really happened.
Leah was all needy and needed something someone
But everyone who usually helped her just seemed so blah
Then lessi was training particularly hard and sweated of her scent patch and WOAH
Leahâs eyes snapped to her so so so fucking fast and she was just dragging her away
Getting Together -
Sex. Thats how they got together.
Sex that happened in the back seat of alessiaâs car
Hot, needy, messy, intense sex
Just lessi clapping leahs cheeks in doggy
They are just lucky that lessi had a nee pack of condoms in that car.
General Relationship Fluff -
Soft soft soft babys
So loving with eachother.
Lessi cooks and leah sits on the counter, not ti eat the cut offs because shes so picky but just to get kisses
Lessi caters to leahâs 4 year old pallet without complaint
Leah just looks so cute chomping on her potato smileys
Alessia does anything leah needs
Without her asking
Like she sees it, she does it.
She drives leah around, Leahs her passenger princess
Without complaint.
Morning with them are always difficult
Neither wants to get up so they are cuddling and kissing while they lay there
Eventually one of them pulls the other up and into the shower.
Lessi is always putting leah on her lap and nuzzling into her
Always sharing clothes.
Leah never admits it but when alessia was away for a while when leah did her acl and was recovering. she was in lessis old man u or unc gear
Just pouting her little pout missing her gf
So many sessions of playfull rough housing.
Heats & Ruts -
They are synced up
If ones in heat the other is in rut and vice versa
They are both so needy during this time
Noone can contact them they are just pound mf town
Rough sex or soft sex it doesnt matter they are going for hourrrrrs
So much oral and so many cream pies
Leahâs Nesting -
Leah nesting for the first time at Alessiaâs was cute
They were planning a movie night and lessi nipped down to put in the potato smileys and start the pasta and came back to her room looking different
A pile of cussions and hoodies and pillows in the corner on a make shift mattress and a pouty leah saying âwrongâ
Leah was just so cute right there lessi almost died.
The next day they got propper nesting supplies and did it right.
Alessiaâs Denning -
She didnt originally have a den at leahâs
She didnt really need it
Leah wanted her to have one though
She wanted to make sure lessi was comfortable with her properly
She just bought a loud of stuff and set up her den in the living room
They fuck in it alot
Then they fuck in leahs nest
Pregnant!Leah -
When she found out she was pregnant she was purring like crazy
Just running to alessia and telling her the news.
Alessia cried.
She was always just as happy
The two were clinging to each other rumbling and purring all day.
Pregnant Leah always rubs at her bump when she looks at lessi like shes saying âthats ur mamaâ
The pup ALWAYS kicks when lessi is playing or an arsenal game is on
Shes always talking to the bump about them being england and arsenals next big player.
Ofc lessi sooooo does the lifting the bump thing.
Lessi would do the cooking a dish based on the babys size trend but leah wouldnât eat it so instead she lets leah know the size as she kisses the bump
Ofc leahs sex drive is high too but lessis so so so scared to hurt them that she just eats her out.
Pup Stuff -
Mama lessi and mummy leah are such doting loving parents to their son.
Just always at there kids events
When the pup is young they spend afternoons at the training ground and often take naps in the nest there
That pup is raised as an arsenal supporter
Lessi failed the rock paper scissors so their next pup, a daughter, is man united through and through.
Much to her mama and auntie mary n ellas love.
Their son is a perfect mix of them, with leahs smile and now with lessis laugh and lessis eyes
Their daughter though is a mini lessi completely.
The last pregnancy was so tough on leah tho that lessi got a vasectomy
They plan to adopt tho

âThe waiter seems very interested,â Leah whispers from beside Alessia at one of the tables Arsenal teammates took over for the evening.
Alessia twirls the straw in her nearly-empty glass and shrugs.
âWell, Iâm not.â
Leah raises an eyebrow.
âHavenât you been single for months?â
âSo? I never miss having a man around. Theyâre more trouble than theyâre worth.â
Leah chuckles as the waiter comes back with their next rounds and, sure enough, winks at Alessia as he slides her glass over.
âYouâre not required to keep him around for more than the night. Something tells me he wouldnât mind.â
Alessia swallows her new drink in only a few gulps, instantly regretting the way it burns.
âI donât enjoy sex that much. Honestly, Iâve never understood the hype.â
Leah nearly chokes on her cocktail.
âYouâre serious?â Leah realizes after observing Alessia closely for more than a minute, demeanor never faltering.
âCompletely.â
Leah does a glance around the bar, scanning over various people who appear to be alone.
âIâll be right back.â
Alessia slides over so Leah can retreat, assuming sheâs headed to the bathroom. She checks her phone absentmindedly, only half listening to some argument a few teammates are passionately engaging in at the table behind her. It isnât until Leah returns with you that she becomes aware of where sheâd actually gone.
âHi?â Alessia greets questioningly as you take the seat directly in front of her.
âHi there,â you return the greeting with a smile. âIâm y/n.â
âAlessia,â she offers back softly.
âLeah said it may be possible to convince you into joining me for a dance or two?â
Alessia looks between you and Leah, the latter of whom gives an encouraging nod.
âSure. Iâll meet you out there in a moment. Leah and I need to speak privately real quick.â
You accept the request, leaping up to head toward the back room where thereâs a jukebox and a makeshift dance floor.
âI know what youâre doing, and it isnât going to work. Iâm not gay.â
Alessia says the second sentence much quieter, paranoid about who could overhear.
âDancing with y/n doesnât have to redefine your identity. Neither would sex, for that matter. All Iâve done is show you thereâs opportunity. Take it or leave it.â
Leah stands to join a different table, leaving Alessia to make her choice.
You smile when Alessia joins you, not hesitating to place the footballerâs hands on your waist before reaching for her shoulders. Thereâs a slower paced song playing, starting you off with perhaps a more intimate arrangement than Alessia was prepared to accept.
âYouâre gorgeous,â you lean up and whisper into Alessiaâs ear. âIâm surprised youâre not seeing anyone.â
Alessia can only blink at first, caught off guard by your forwardness.
âItâs complicated,â Alessia mumbles, not wanting to be rude by not responding, but unsure what else to say.
âWeâll keep tonight simple then, baby. We dance for a while, I buy your next drink, and let the evening take us where it will.â
Your confidence is sexy. The thought crosses Alessiaâs mind before she knows what to do with it. It turns out she doesnât need to decide anything, as the song changes to something quicker paced, and itâs not long before youâre grinding into her like youâre the only two people in the room who exist. Alessia runs with the feeling, blocking everything else out and focusing on the moment and you, bringing the both of you into your own world.
Alessia hates being wrong. But it only takes one orgasm from having your talented mouth between her legs to realize she absolutely was mistaken about sex. Only one of her boyfriends had offered to go down on her before, and it had been awkward, sloppy, and unfulfilling. The complete opposite of the high sheâs coming down from now. When you take your time trailing kisses up her body, then kiss her so she can taste herself on her lips, sheâs genuinely worried she might pass out.
âYou okay, baby?â You check in, noting that Alessia stopped returning effort into your kisses.
âMore than,â Alessia replies, eyes looking up and locking with yours. âHowâd you learn that?â
Alessia is embarrassed as soon as she processes what sheâs asked, but you continue looking down at her endearingly.
âMy ex and I were together for a long time. She was adventurous and we taught each other a lot. Her loss now, your gain,â you add with a smirk.
Alessia feels around the button on your pants and tugs on the zipper, trying to wrap her head around how sheâs going to reciprocate.
âAllow me,â you offer as you finish undressing yourself then crawl back over Alessia.
âAll ready for you, baby,â you tell Alessia as you reach for the nervous womanâs hand and direct two of her fingers inside of you.
Alessia doesnât feel like she does much of the work, between you grinding down on her fingers and teasing your own clit, but thereâs something about being a part of another womanâs release that brings her pride anyway.
âYouâre a natural, Alessia,â you reassure her after coming down and relaxing into her side.
âHuh?â
âI hope you wonât be angry with her, but Leah told me youâve not been with a woman before.â
âThatâs fine. Itâs the truth.â
You brush a strand of hair behind Alessiaâs ear and stroke her cheek.
âThanks for letting me have the honor of being your first.â
Alessia grins.
âIt was really my pleasure.â
âHow did you know?â Alessia asks Leah out of the blue when theyâre both headed to the car park at the same time after training the next week.
âAbout which way you were going to turn? Easy. Thatâs your preferred direction most of the time. Odds favored me,â Leah explains, referring to their last drill.
âNo, about y/n, and umâŚhow great the sex would be?â
Leah lets out a good laugh.
âIt wasnât a 100% guarantee, obviously, but now you have your answer.â
âWhat answer?â
âWhether sex was the problem or if men were.â
âOh.â
âSo?â
âIâm still collecting data.â
âAre you seeing y/n again?â Leah asks while pulling open her car door.
âI do have her number. However, I have someone else in mind.â
âWho is it then? You canât leave me hanging,â Leah insists as she slides into her car but leaves the door ajar until she can turn on the engine to roll her window down.
âWhat are you doing tomorrow at 7?â Alessia asks before she can lose her nerve.
âDonât you mean âwhoâ am I doing?â Leah challenges with a sly grin.
âI was going to feed you dinner first,â Alessia replies with a pout.
âYou know as well as anyone Iâm not fussed about food.â
âYouâre impossible,â Alessia accuses as she leans down toward the now-open car window. âHow has anyone ever taken you on a date?â
âIs that what you want?â
âPretty sure. Yeah.â
âThen Iâll be there.â

the christmas eve dash II l.williamson

second of my yearly christmas fics and part of the mila universe! the christmas eve dash II l.williamson
"lee? baby can you come here for a sec please!" you called out to your wife, hearing her footsteps change direction and head toward where you were holed up away in your shared home office.
"whats up babe? i'm just about to go pick up the gremlin." leah jingled her keys as she leaned in the doorway with a curious frown, mila at her weekly karate practice.
"christmas checklist!" you tapped your pen against the wad of paper in front of you as leah swallowed the dry witted comment lingering on the tip of her tongue.
"hit me with it." the blonde nodded encouragingly instead, moving into the room as you rattled off the last few remaining tasks on your list, forever having been the organisational mind between you and leah.
"-then you need to go pick up that spa voucher for your mum, i'll get the gift hampers for my cousins. we need to get some chocolate stockings for my nephews, the jersey your brother wanted is ready to be collected from JD-" you read off, leah humming to acknowledge each thing.
"-then we'll do mila's santa sack on christmas eve once she's asleep, or i'll do it." you paused to shoot your wife a pointed look as she winced, having had one whisky too many last year and falling into the christmas tree at three in the morning while the two of you were busy putting out your daughters presents.
"i said i was sorry! she didn't wake up, did she?" leah defended as you clicked your tongue. "didn't she?" you reminded, leah wincing again as she thought back to the two of you falling over yourselves to hide when little footsteps had come thundering down the hall.
"you are so lucky i can think fast dopey." you warned, having managed to commando crawl your way to your room and intercept your daughter from behind as if you'd been asleep there the whole time.
you'd rambled out an excuse about santa being able to turn invisible so he can hide from the police as the four year old questioned over and over why she couldn't go and say hi or open her presents now.
"-and then you got mila the barbie deluxe dream house. have you wrapped it yet? i couldn't find it in the closet with everything else for her." you spun around on your chair and quirked an eyebrow, leah freezing for a second.
"i got the what?" the blonde asked cluelessly as your eyes narrowed, hands moving to grip the arms of your chair as you exhaled slowly. "you got the barbie deluxe dream house with the swing sets, the slide, the elevator and the pool." you started, pushing to stand up.
"aka the only thing our daughter has been talking about for the last three weeks and the only thing she's asked santa for for christmas, leah." you spoke calmly but your wife could immediately pick up on the sharp scent of malice hidden behind your words.
now she needed to think fast.
"oh! that dreamhouse, the bright pink one with the little slide yeah yeah yeah." leah scoffed, smacking her palm against her forehead. "i got it ages ago babe, forgot all about it! you can tick it off your little list." the blonde grinned confidently with a wave of her hand.
"you did?" "well you asked me to, didn't you?" "well where is it?" "its uhh..." leah trailed off, wracking her brain for an answer, your foot tapping impatiently as you stared her down, arms crossed and hip jutted out to the side.
"it's at lia's! it was too big to hide and you know what mila's like." leah chuckled and you hummed. "mm nosy? wonder where she gets that from." you teased, relaxing a little more and leaning in to peck her lips a few times appreciatively.
"well thats a relief, it's sold out country wide. good luck to anyone who was planning on some last minute shopping, that stupid chunk of plastic would be impossible to find!" you chuckled, returning to your seat and your list as leah hid the panic building rapidly in her body.
"but what our little angel wants, she gets." you made a point to tick it off your list with a deep exhale. "mm and i wonder where she gets that from, princess." your wife teased, ducking down and stealing a kiss before you could argue with her.
"well i'm off! might take her for a kick around if she's got loose energy to burn off. bye babe!" leah sung out, practically already halfway out the front door before you could even look up, jumping in shock hearing it slam close after her.
alone in her car leah slumped into her seat, staring blankly ahead and running her hands down her face with a frustrated groan, moving to grab the steering wheel.
"shit!"
~
"-then we learned this one that went HIYA AYA HIYA!" your daughter chanted, punching and kicking at thin air as leah clicked the buckles of her car seat in, just ducking out of the way as little arms and fists began swinging.
"thats really great bubba when we get home you can show me everything, just give me a second to call aunty beth yeah?" leah flashed the girl a smile who shrugged, busying herself practicing her karate as leah shut the door.
"come on come on come on." leah chanted as she clicked call, tapping her foot impatiently as the dial tone rang and rang, right as she was about to hang up and move to her next option finally it clicked through.
"well well miss leah catherine, to what do i owe the ple-" leah didn't even let the poor girl finish before she was jumping in.
"imayhaveforgottentogettheonlypresentmilawantedandifidontgetitbothmydaughterandmywifearegoingtokillmeonchristmasandiamsoabsoloutelyutterlyfucked!" leah rambled out in one breath, beth going silent for a moment.
"come again? in english this time please if you would be so kind." "i may have forgotten to get the only present mila wanted and if i don't get it both my daughter and my wife are going to kill me on christmas and i am so absolutely utterly fucked." leah exhaled shakily, wiggling her fingers at mila through the window who knocked and pulled a face.
"so you've clearly called me to make funeral arrangements then? well i was thinking instead of a euology i could-" "beth come on man! i'm serious here, i need help."
"well that's quite the understatement. but right, whats the plan then captain?"
~
"-baby are you sure you don't need anything?" you asked softly, knelt down by the bed and pushing a few loose hairs out of your wifes face. "nah just some rest babe, i'm so sorry i can't make it." leah croaked out as your lips curled downward into a frown.
"don't be sorry lee, i'm sorry you're feeling so miserable on christmas eve, of course today of all days your migraines come back. " you pressed a gentle kiss to her temple, nails scratching gently at her scalp as your wife sighed.
"get some sleep, i love you." you pecked her lips sweetly before you pushed to stand, hearing little foosteps come thundering down the hall as you did.
"woah! we have speed limits in this household little miss ferrari." you scooped her up before she could launch herself up and onto the bed like you knew she'd planned. "little miss aston martin!" mila frowned and poked at your chest, your wifes little cheeky smile up at you in response having your eyes rolling.
"say bye to mummy but be gentle please mils she's not feeling well. remember?" you set her back down as your daughter nodded. "one for you, one for me and one for your sore head." mila pressed three kisses to leahs cheek who smiled, stretching a hand out to pinch the five year olds cheek fondly.
"thank you bubba, you'll give nanna an extra big kiss for me yeah?" leah warned as mila nodded dutifully, squealing as leahs fingers dug into her side and she grabbed onto your leg hiding behind it.
"get some sleep baby." you chuckled, ducking down to peck her lips again, hearing some enthusiastic gagging sound behind you. "yuck!" your daughter retched as your eyes rolled again. "hey bubba?" leah called out, mila peeking out from where she'd hidden her face behind her hands.
"leah!" you laughed as your wife pulled you in for a sloppy kiss, mila falling to the floor dramatically and covering her face again, pretending to throw up everywhere as you gently smacked your wifes shoulder and she winked.
"come on trouble, lets go let you loose on that poor nursing home."
leah waited patiently in bed until she'd heard the front door shut, and then heard the car engine start, then till she heard it back out of the driveway, and then another five minutes just to be sure.
the two sharp honks in the driveway was all she needed, leaping out of bed already dressed and ready to go, grabbing a beanie and some sunglasses on the way and wrestling on her shoes as she hopped to the front door.
"stop honking you idiot my neighbours!" leah hissed as she hurried down the front steps, beth honking her hello and rolling her eyes at the way the blonde yanked the beanie down her head as if it would disguise her somewhat when she'd come flying out of her own house.
"good mornin to you 007! where we goin first then?" "tommys toy world, and step on it!"
~
"leah man how many more places are we going to be laughed out of? get the kid a samari sword and call it a day, she's into her karate now ain't she?" beth groaned, leah huffing impatiently and taking her hand, yanking her down the travelator mumbling apologies so everyone she pushed past on the way.
"i can't beth! i said i bought it months ago and-" "-and you'll be in the doghouse until next christmas. yeah yeah yeah, need i remind you got yourself into this mess leah? i told you ya memorys bad!" "yes beth i am well aware whose fault this is, which is why i need to get myself out of this mess! for the sake of my child and my marriage!" leah huffed, only letting go of the younger girls hand the moment they stepped into the toy store.
"sorry." beth apologised quickly to an older gentlemen who leah had nearly bowled over in her haste, the man grumbling about basic manners going missing this time of year as he walked off.
this store the ninth one they'd trekked to already this morning beth was well aware of the drill, rolling her eyes and trudging after leah who wasted no time sprinting off to wherever the barbies and accessories were kept.
she grabbed some toys for myle along the way, stopping for a second too long to admire a lego set before a hand grabbed the back of her jumper and violently yanked her away.
"don't you manhandle me williamson!" beth scoffed smacking her friends hands away but hurrying after her none the less. "oh for fuck sakes come on there's gotta be one fucking dream house left in london!" leah swore, eyes scanning the aisle which was assaulting bright pink and made beth wince at the sight.
"so sorry." beth apologised again but this time to to the horrified looking mother dragging away her toddler whose ears were firmly covered, beth sending a weak wave the girls way before she dissapeared.
"can i help you?" a worker appeared seemingly out of nowhere, concern ingrained into his features as leah grunted and grumbled to herself, riffling through the shelves as beth hurried to put back what she took off.
"god i bloody hope so mate." leah groaned, dragging her hands down her face with a stressed exhale as the worker chuckled. "last minute shopping huh?" the man chuckled as beth snickered. "you have no idea." earning her an elbow and a glare from leah.
"what are you after? we did just get a last minute pallet that hasn't been unloaded yet so i can check if its out back, we're about to restock the shelves since we're open until nine tonight for people like yourself." the man smiled kindly as leah perked up and beth snickered again in amusement, her shopping done weeks ago.
"barbie dreamhouse." leah hurried out, the man nodding and punching something into the little black box in his hand. "we have the malibu playhouse, the 60th anniversary edition, kens mojo dojo casa house-" the man read out as leah shook her head.
"no no, the deluxe dreamhouse. with the swingsets and the slide and the pool and-" leah couldn't even finish before it happened, the same response she'd gotten at every single store so far today and then some.
"that? you're looking on christmas eve for that? do you know how many have been sold country wide in the last week let alone the last month? its the toy of the year! not to mention sales have skyrocketed since-" the man laughed as leahs face fell, then very quickly distorted into a scowl.
"yeah brilliant. do you have it or not?" leah interrupted, crossing her arms as the man gave her an incredulous look. "of course not! its been sold out for weeks UK wide, you don't read the news?" the man laughed in disbelief, though his question fell on deaf ears as leah turned heel and stormed off again.
as much as beth tried the stony faced blonde didn't say another word until they were both back in the car. "fuck!" leah swore, smacking her hands against the dashboard and making her friend jump.
"oi! respect the vehicle. its not her fault you left all of this to the last minute!" beth warned, sticking her key in the ignition as leah ignored her and pulled out her phone, exhaling with a small amount of relief as she checked your location and could see you still weren't home.
"right. where to next?" beth sighed deeply, leah slumping back in her seat. "that was the last one." the blonde responded bluntly, beth wincing and whistling quietly under her breath.
"call it a day and head home then? i'll drive slow so you can practice your grovelling and begging for forgiveness." beth shrugged, grinning as leah shot her a dry unimpressed look.
"no, not home." "leah then where-" "it's time to pull out the big guns." "call your wife, explain what happened and take her anger on the chin?"
at that leah scrunched up her face with disgust. "god no." leah shook her head, leaning forward and punching in the address as beth watched on curiously, a puff of amused air leaving her lips as she recognized it right away.
"i've got no choice beth. i've gotta call in the godmother."
~
"-so you lied." alessia cocked an eyebrow, sipping at her tea as leah exhaled heavily. "not lied but-" she fell quiet at the fiercely withering look sent her way by the younger blonde across from her.
"okay yes. i forgot and i lied and i am so so so unbelievably screwed less." leah whined, her own cup of tea left empty on the coffee table as the defender slumped down into the couch burying her face in her hands.
"yes, yes you are." alessia agreed with a nod, leah peeking out with narrowed eyes. "i came here for advice! not for you to agree with me for once." leah mumbed moodily as the striker smiled, sculling her last mouthful of tea with a hum.
"i have a feeling things are about to look up for you lee." was all the girl said, squeezing her knee as she stood, grabbed their empty mugs and headed back to the kitchen.
"how!" leah called after her with confusion, attention grabbed by the sounds of a key in the door, eyes widening at the familiar little thump of feet which followed.
"aunty lessi!" mila squealed, ignoring your shouts after her to take her shoes, coat and scarf off as the five year old came barreling into the kitchen. "hello little marshmallow." alessia grinned, scooping up the small girl and kissing over her face making her giggle.
"i'm puffy!" mila smacked her coat covered chest as you arrived and rolled your eyes with a smile, alessia sitting your daughter down on the counter and helping her to shrug off her many layers as she babbled on and on and on about their day.
"shit! shit shit shit shit." leah whispered in a panic, crouching down and trying to peek over the top of the couch as her mind scrambled to try and think of an escape plan, groaning quietly as she realised that came to a screaming halt when she didn't have a car, beth dropping her off and leaving.
"hi babe." leah sprang up like she'd sat on an electrical wire, coming thumping back to the ground with a grunt, staring up horrified at your scarily calm smile which looked down at her.
"um i can explain! it is not what it looks like." leah tried, running a hand through her hair and stumbling over herself to think of a valid excuse. "save it leah, i knew you'd be here eventually. granted maybe not just yet, you hit the stores faster than i thought!" you shrugged honestly, rounding the couch as leahs mouth formed an o and she pulled herself to stand.
"sorry. pause, rewind, repeat. come again?" leah asked slowly, sure she'd heard wrong as you chuckled. "please. leah baby we've been together for years, you think i can't tell when you're lying? faking sick? my love you are a terrible actor." you laughed with a shake of your head.
"forgive me, i'm a little lost here." was all your wife managed to get out, the two of you glancing over your shoulder at a thump and the sound of laughter, alessia stood with mila sat on her shoulders, making the girl with a pit of a stomach a sandwich.
"hi mummy, mama and i missed you!" mila noticed, waving furiously at leah from the other room who cautiously raised a hand and waved back, alessia sending her a wink and recapturing mila's attention as you clicked your fingers to gain hers.
"come with me williamson." you patted her chest with a wink, nodding for her to follow you as you took off down the hall, leah following you slowly, feeling a little as though she was walking to her own funeral.
the older girl hung in the doorway, watching as you rummaged through the wardrobe in alessia's spare bedroom, which judging by the arsenal sheets and toys strung about anywhere was basically your daughters room, mila loving her 'big girl' sleepovers with her aunties, alessia most of all being her godmother and your closest friend.
"close the door please." you spoke with your back still to her, leah hesitantly stepping inside and doing so. "sit on the bed." you asked next, leah still highly suspicious but also quite scared to say no wasting no time following your instructions.
"eyes closed."
"if you're going to kill me i'd rather see it coming darling." leah sighed making you snort out in laughter, shooting her a look over your shoulder as your wife sighed but closed her eyes none the less.
she flinched a little feeling something touch her hands, making your eyes roll as you assured it wasn't a weapon. "open." you smiled, half the package in her grip as the other remained in yours.
it was rare the outspoken defender was speechless, however clearly the sight of the toy she'd just spent the last six hours hunting for in perfect mint condition, sat in her hands, had rendered her tongue and words void.
"but-but-but-" she eventually stammered out as you merely smirked and nodded. "yes, yes, yes." you countered, tugging it out of her hands and setting it carefully down on the floor, leah immediately sliding off the bed and dropping to her knees.
"the barbie deluxe dreamhouse. with the fridge, the swing sets, the slide, the pool, the-" "yep, everything, all the bells and whistles." you took her seat on the edge of the bed, leah giving you an incredulous look. "but how did you even..." she trailed off, eyebrows scrunched together in pure utter confusion.
"please. leah did you really think i wouldn't have everything organised?" you scoffed quirking an eyebrow as leahs mouth opened and closed and she shook her head back and forth.
"so you knew-" "that you were lying? yes." "and you already-" "bought it weeks ago? absolutely." "but then you-" "sent you on an impossible wild goose chase around london for something i knew you wouldn't find and i already had? i most certainly did." you confirmed with a confident nod as leah seemed to crumple into a heap.
"i'd encourage you choose your next words very very carefully my love, especially if you'd like to have a merry christmas." your tone sharpened as a scowl set into your wifes features, wiped away as soon as it appeared.
"oh leah, get off me!" you huffed as within seconds she'd pounced, pinning you to the bed and kissing all over your face mumbling her thank you's. "i'm still mad at you! you lied to me, and i gave you the chance to be honest." you warned, leah stopping with lips puckered hovering just over yours, wincing and sitting up.
"oh really leah!" you groaned as again she flopped down on top of you, now mumbling how sorry she was as again her lips rained down kisses on every inch of your skin she could reach.
"get off me you dickhead and put the dreamhouse away before mila see's it!" you warned with a roll of your eyes, pushing her off of you as the blonde hurried to do just that, slotting it back on top of the cupboard where it was well out of sight or reach of your overtly inquisitive five year old.
"i really am sorry. so so so so so sorry my girl!" leah winced as she stood in between your legs where you'd sat up. "oh you will be. you're on clean up duty, today, tomorrow, tonight, boxing day, new years eve, new years day-" you rattled off, words swallowed by your wife leaning down and pressing her mouth against yours.
"done. i love you." leah pulled away and promised, shuffling back a little to allow you to stand up as you hummed. "i love you too, even if you are hopelessly disorganized." you sighed with a small smile.
"well thats why i married you." "don't push it williamson." you warned as she grinned, stealing another kiss as a crash was heard and both of you looked to the closed door.
"we should probably go sort that out." leah sighed, starting to head for the door as you tugged her back, hand slipping up her hoodie and fingers playing with the waistband of her jeans.
"let less tire her out for a bit baby, the earlier she crashes tonight after some movies and the cookies you'll sneak her when you both think i'm not looking, the better." you smiled as leah chuckled, unable to argue the fact.
"more time to play santa." leah agreed with a wink, pecking your lips and tensing a little as your fingers poked into her abs and you leaned up to speak into her ear a little more.
"mm and once the presents are sorted, i'd quite like to sit in santas lap, maybe give her sleigh a ride if she's earned it." you whispered, leah jolting as your hand smacked against her ass and with a cheeky grin you were sauntering off leaving the door open after you and your wifes cheeks flushed red.
"dear god i love christmas."

masterlist | contains slightly suggestive content!
youâd been at arsenal less than a month and were already the talk of the team. you were a shock move in the summer months of the transfer window â a one the media nor your teammates had expected.
you'd been happy at your former club of manchester city but you wanted a change, a challenge, a new environment.
you carried yourself with confidence and ease which is what set you apart from other players. you didn't like the attention all you wanted to was just play football.
alessia however couldn't seem to carry herself at all whenever you were around. from the first team meeting, your presence had thrown alessia askew.
your bright smile and effortless charm lit up the room, your laugh lingering in alessia's ears long after you'd left the room.
but it was more than that. you exuded an energy that alessia couldn't explain â a magnetic, undeniable and slightly maddening type of energy.
alessia had spent the better part of the last few weeks since your arrival fumbling through conversations, blushing at your casual compliment as she mentally berated herself for acting like a lovestruck teenager.
but now as the team had landed for their pre-season tour in the united states, alessia had one thing in her mind and that was to keep her cool.
two weeks in close quarters, across one city, with you? she'd manage.
or so she thought she would..
-
the team was sorting rooms for the next two week while on the coach to the hotel, alessia being handed the sheet which had everyone's name on and there roommate. the blonde expecting, kyra or lotte to be side by side her name.
so when she saw the sheet of paper, her heart sank, and leapt, at the same time when she saw whose name was next to hers.
your name written next to hers in bold black letters, taunting her. you were her roommate. for two whole weeks..
alessia caught herself staring at the paper for a beat too long, her brain trying to process what it actually meant.
you, the new summer star signing. you, who had walked into the first team with such quiet confidence, wearing it like it was a second skin. you, who was now alessia's roommate.
the blondes mind was racing, sharing a room with you meant sharing everything â space, conversations, moments of vulnerability, early mornings, late nights.
it meant seeing you at your most casual, relaxed and probably in tiny shorts or oversized shirts. you long legs stretched out on your bed. alessia's chest tightening just at the mere thought.
"less? you okay?" leah's voice jolted the blonde from her thoughts. turning slightly to face leah as she was watching with a smirk that suggested she knew what was going on, and had definitely played a part in it.
"i- yeah" alessia said quickly, folding the paper and tucking it into her pocket, "all good!" she smiled grabbing her water bottle to have a sip from.
"sure you are," leah said as her smirk widened, "don't worry i'm sure y/n doesn't bite- well not unless you ask her to"
"leah!" alessia hissed, her cheeks flaming as she grumbled words of complaint that were completely coherent to leah.
"relax" leah laughed as she assured the younger blonde girl she was just joking as she raised her hands in mock surrender, "just saying maybe it's fate"
"fate." alessia repeated flatly, knowing leah had something to do with the room arrangements but still her pulse was racing.
leah winked, "two weeks in close comfort, anything can happen!"
the nervous energy lingered for the rest of the day, by the time the team arrived at the hotel, alessia's stomach was a knot of anticipation and dread.
she waited by the door of the room, clutching the key card like it was a lifeline. you appearing a moment later, rolling a black suitcase behind you.
your hair tied up in a messy ponytail as you wore a loose tank top that clung to you in all the right places.
"looks like it's you and me" you said with a small smile, you voice tinged with amusement. you weren't stupid, you'd heard the teasing comments slung to the blonde who was now your roommate over the past weeks since youâd arrived. so part of you was excited for what the next two weeks had in store.
alessia managed a weak laugh as she waited for the key card to scan and the light turn green, "yeah, should be.. fun"
you pushed the door open and stepped inside, alessia now the one trailing behind. the room was modest, two twin beds pushed to opposite walls and a window that overlooked the city skyline. it was nothing special, but to alessia, it suddenly felt rather small.
you tossed your bag onto the bed closest to the window, stretching out as your arms reached over your head.
alessia tried her best not to stare, but her eyes betrayed her. her eyes tracing the lines of your arms, the subtle curve of your waist where your tank top rode up.
"clean space," you said casually, your eyes looking around the room until your were facing alessia, "you okay with this bed?"
"huh?" alessia blinked now realising she hadn't moved from the doorway, "oh- uh yeah, totally" she stuttered out as she hurried over to the other bed, tripping over her suitcase slightly in the process.
you chuckled softly, "you sure you're good?"
"i'm fine!" alessia squeaked, her voice going higher than she intended.
you didn't press, but alessia could tell you were watching her every move as she unpacked her beg with unnecessary precision, carefully fold and refolding her clothes just to give herself something to do.
while you lay in your bed, on your phone. glancing over ever so often as a silence filled the room. but not an awkward one, exactly but it was heavy and charged with an undercurrent which you couldn't quite name yourself.
every small sound - the zip of alessia's suitcase, the rustle of the sheets as you moved into a move comfy position, the faint tap of your fingers against your phone they all felt amplified.
alessia's pulse was a constant drumbeat in your ears, her mind was racing with thoughts as she desperately tried to suppress them. trying to not let herself get distracted. you were a teammate, nothing more.
a teammate who happened to be gorgeous, charming and as you currently lounged on your bed like a goddess who had descended from mount olympus.
"less," you said suddenly, your soft voice cutting through the thick silence. alessia turning, the sound of your sudden voice startling her, "yeah?"
you tilting your head slightly as your lips curved into a faint smile, "your actin' strange"
"i'm not acting strange" alessia echoed, but even she could hear the lie in her own voice.
your face changed as your brow raised, you weren't fully convinced. you'd seen the blonde around her friends and she didn't act in the way she was with you right now. "if you say so"
you lay back against the pillows, one leg bent, the other stretched out as you held your phone loosely in one hand. the glow from the bedside lamp casting soft shadows across your face, it highlighting your sharp jawline and curve of your cheek.
alessia forcing herself to look away as she pretending to fiddle with her suitcase again, finding herself wanting to say something but no words would leave her mouth.
"relax, less" you said after a moment, your voice calm and soft "i don't bite"
alessia's breath hitched, her stomach flipping at the words. which also happen to be the exact words leah had said to her just a few hours ago.
risking a glance at you as you watched her with an expression that was equal parts teasing and curiosity.
the air was thick and even heavier than before and alessia couldn't tell if she was imagining it or if it was real but your gaze lingered and your eyes had turned, dark and suddenly unreadable.
"right." alessia said finally, the words stumbling from her lips bearly above a whisper, "good to know."
your lips twitched as you were going to say something else but you let the moment pass as you settled back into your pillows with a sigh.
alessia finally climbed into her own bed, pulling the covers up to her chin and even though the room was warm. as she squeezed her eyes shut willing herself to fall asleep.
but her mind wouldn't stop racing, you voice, your smile and the way you looked at her â it was all too much, too close, too everything.
alessia had no idea how she was going to survive the two weeks..
-
after the first night of sharing room which to alessia had felt suffocating. but she could pin point if it was because of the summer heat, the jet lag or your very presence that had her heart racing and skin flushed.
probably definitely the last one..
the morning had started off slow, the team had been given the chance to adjust to the time zone so had the day off but with most of the girls not wanting to go out till later on in the day you found yourself lounging on your bed.
wearing nothing but an oversized arsenal training shirt and shorts which left far too much of your legs on show. your hair was still messy from your nights sleep as loose strands framed your face.
you phone in your hand, lazily scrolling as the faint glow illuminated your features and every once in a while your hum quietly to yourself, the sound low and soft enough to send shivers down alessia's spine.
alessia, in contrast was a wreck. she'd spent the morning unpacking, repacking and then unpacking â purely just to keep herself busy and anything to avoid looking at you for too long.
"less" you said suddenly, "will you sit down"
alessia didn't say anything just nodded but you weren't making it easy.
anytime alessia let herself glance over you were doing something harmless that somehow felt charged, whether that was stretching out on the bed, your shirt riding up just enough to reveal a strip of skin; biting you bottom lip as you focused on your screen or running a hand through your hair â a motion somehow effortlessly seductive.
"no less, seriously sit down. your makin' me dizzy" your tone changed as your phone flopped down on your chest as you looked over at the blonde who couldn't of gotten further from you if she tried.
alessia froze, "how?"
you sat up, your legs swinging over the side of the bed, "your pacing back and forth and your actin' as if you don't want to get within five feet of me, what's that about?"
"i'm- i'm not" alessia's mouth went dry as she stood up slowly.
"less have you seen where you've been sat-" you leaned forward as you pointed to the further corner in the room from where you were sat. resting your elbows on your knees as alessia looked down at her feet. "if i didn't know better, id say you were nervous"
"i'm not nervous-" alessia said quickly, too quickly as her tone of voice betrayed her.
your lips curved into a slow but teasing smile, "really.. then why are you blushing.â a loud groan left alessia's lips as she dragged her hands over her face, "i'm not-"
"you totally are" you voice was now soft, almost a purr, "its cute"
alessia stomach flipped, as she turned to face you fully trying to summon some resemblance of composure, "you're enjoying this aren't you?"
your smile widened as you grabbed your sliders, "maybe a little" you shrugged standing up from the bed.
alessia rolled her eyes, but the heat in her cheeks gave her away. she crossed the room to her bed picking up her phone.
"come on beth says everyone's waiting"
-
since you had arrived the teasing had began subtly but the past few days since landing in the in the us, it's had been relentless.
during training, the girls had seemed to have made it their collective mission to put both you and alessia on the spot. their remarks growing bolder with each passing day.
it wasn't exactly helping that you seemed completely unfazed by it all, brushing off the comments with a quick shake of the head with a smile which only made alessia's reactions stand out even more.
the team was running passing drills under the blazing american sun, alessia's focus was already fraying. you as usual was calm and composed as you slotted passes effortlessly as you laughed with beth and steph.
alessia on the other hand couldn't get through a single play without glancing in your direction which obviously didn't go unnoticed.
"less, your looking distracted" leah called out from the opposite side of the pitch, her voice dripping with mischief.
"i'm not!" alessia yelled back but her flushed cheeks betrayed her once again.
"oh leave her alone, leah!" katie chimed in smirking, "she's just tryin' to impress y/n!"
the ball was rolled to alessia and in her flustered state, she misjudged the pass as she sent it careening towards lia instead of kim. a chorus of laughter erupting around her.
"nice one less!" lia teased, passing the ball on, "maybe if y/n compliments you, you'll focus better"
alessia groaned, running a hand through her hair. "can we not?â
but the girls and their teasing were far from done. the group regrouped for the next set of drills, beth took her chance to join in.
"you know, y/n," beth said loudly enough for everyone to hear, "you might be arsenal's best signing in years. i mean, alessia's practically speechless around you."
you stood a few feet away, taking a big drink of your water as a chuckle came from you but you didn't even look up from where alessia was adjusting her shin pads. "speechless ay?" you said lightly, your tone as casual as ever.
"exactly that!" beth continued, the grin not leaving her lips. "you've got her all shy and blushing. poor less hasn't been the same since you arrived"
alessia was frozen in place, the heat rising from her chest to her face within seconds. feeling the weight of everyone's eyes on her and it only made it more flustered.
"i'm not- she's not-" alessia stuttered, her voice cracking slightly as she struggled to from a coherent sentence. "can we just focus on training.."
beth cackled and leah stepped in, her smirk was just as big as the grin on beth's face. "oh c'mon less. just admit it"
by now the coaches were looking over with mild curiosity but wisely stayed out of the conversation but still urging the players to get back in with the drills after an extra long water break.
you however remained completely composed. finally standing and stretching leisurely as you tossed a casual glance in alessia's direction.
"you lot love to wind her up?" you said, your tone light but your lips curved into a faint smirk, "poor lessi is just tryin' to focus"
"that's what makes it so fun!" leah replied, earning more laughter from the group.
alessia utterly mortified turned away and pretended to go and tie her laces hoping the ground would swallow her whole. but she could feel your gaze on her, warm and teasing but not unkind.
as they resumed the drill, you jogged over to alessia's side close enough that your shoulders almost brushed. "you okay?" you asked softly, you voice filled with care as you spoke loud enough only for alessia to hear.
"i'm fine." alessia muttered, though her cheeks were still red and flushed. you smiled, tilting your head slightly, "you know, you're cute when you're flustered"
alessia felt her breath get caught in throat and for a moment all she could do was stare at you as her heart hammered into her chest.
you winked at the blonde before jogging off to join the next group as you left alessia standing there, a stuttering, blushing mess as the teams laughter echoed across the training fields.
-
the team had just finished dinner and the players had been told to have some off-feet time ensuring they were fully rested before the game later tomorrow afternoon. the dinner of course had been filled with teasing comments but you had managed to escape the worst of it.
now you both were alone, back in the hotel room that had become a pressure cooker of unresolved tension over the past two weeks.
alessia was laid on her side, facing the opposite direction to you as she pretended to scroll through her phone, but her mind was elsewhere.
you were in front of the mirror, re-tying your hair into a loose bun. your reflection catching alessia's attention more than it should.
the room felt heavier than usual, the air thick with everything you both hadn't said, everything alessia had been too scared to admit to herself.
"your doin' that thing again" you said suddenly, breaking the silence as alessia looked up, startled.
"what thing?"
you turned to face her, leaning against the dresser with your arms crossed, you were still in your dinner clothes â a black fitted shirt which hugged you in all the right places and jeans that alessia definitely hadn't started at for too long earlier.
"where you don't speak, granted your a little shy," you teased, your lip curving into a small smile, "but tonight, you're on a whole new level"
alessia's face burned as she forced herself to look back at her phone, trying to ignore the way your gaze seemed to strip every ounce of composure she had.
"i'm just.. tired"
you hummed, "right" your tone was light and alessia could hear the hint of amusement, "so it has nothing to do with the fact that the team has been non stop teasin' us"
alessia let out a loud groan as she dragged a hand over her face, "they are the worst."
"or the best" you countered, pushing off the dresser and walking closer, "depends on how you look at it"
alessia glanced up as her breath caught. you were standing at the edge of your bed now, looking down at the blonde with an expression which was equal parts playful and serious.
"what do you mean?" alessia asked her voice barely above a whisper.
you tilted your head, your eyes searching alessia's face, "i mean, they're not wrong are they." alessia's heart stopping momentarily, "about what?â
you smirked as you sat your set down on the edge of alessia's bed, close enough that you were a mere few cm from the blonde. "about this" you smiled, festering between the two of you.
alessia felt her brain had short-circuited. she opened her mouth to respond but nothing came out.
"relax lessi," you said softly, you hand reaching out to brush a strand of hair behind the blondes ear. "you don't have to say anything."
your touch was gentle and almost hesitant but it sent a jolt of electricity through alessia's body. she looked up at you, her cheeks flaming as her heart was pounding so loudly she was sure you could hear it.
then before you could overthink it, you leaned in, slowly.
the kiss was soft at first, a tentative brush of the lips as if you were giving alessia a chance to pull away, to change her mind.
but alessia had no intention of pulling away, her heart racing in her chest, a wild, short beat that echoed in her ears. slowly, she leaned into the kiss, her fingers trembling as they found your waist.
the warmth of your skin through the fabric of your shirt grounding her and without hesitation alessia pulled you close the space between the tow of you dissolving.
the kiss deepening as your lips moved in a rhythm that felt familiar as though they'd been doing this forever even though it was the first time.
alessia's pulse is quickened as her sense sharpened, the faint smell of your vanilla shampoo and the way your breath kitchen when alessia's hand slipped up your side and the soft and almost inaudible sight that escaped your lips.
it was intoxicating and a moment which suspended in time and a world reduce to just the two of them.
when they finally broke apart, it wasn't out of hesitation but necessity. foreheads resting together as your breaths intermingled in the narrow space which was between the two of you.
alessia's eyes fluttering open and taking in the way your cheeks were flushed as your lips were slightly swollen from the kiss. she'd swear she's never seen anything more beautiful.
"you okay?" you asked, your voice low and slightly hoarse as if the words would cost you something to speak.
alessia nodded, her lips curving into a shy but undeniable smile. her voice was nearly above a whisper the words carrying an honesty she couldn't hide, "more than okay"
your gaze lingered on the blonde for a moment longer, your fingers brushing alessia's cheek in a gesture so tender it sent a shiver down her spine.
and for the first time in a long while, alessia felt completely seen as though you had unlocked a part of her she didnât even know she'd been hiding. alessia couldnât help but laugh softly, the sound light and nervous but also full of joy.
you smiled too, your thumb tracing absent circles on alessia's hip, "good" you murmured your lips quirking up into a grin that was equal parts relief and mischief. "because i have been waiting to do that since the start of the trip-â
alessia felt her chest tighten a mix of disbelief and elation, "you could have said something you know"
you giggled, "could've" as you slipped your fingers through alessia's hair, threading through the soft blonde strands, "but part of me kind of liked watching you squirm"
alessia shook her head with disbelief as a light giggle came from her as she melted into your touch, "your the worst."
"yeah but you love it" you grinned, kissing her hair as alessia rolled her eyes playfully, cuddling tighter into your built frame.
the two of stayed like that for a while, tangled together on the bed as the word outside seemed to fade away stealing kisses from one another.
the tension that had been building between them for weeks â glances held for a moment too long, casual touches which lingered, unspoken words hanging in the air had finally crack and given way to something softer, something warmer and something that felt like coming home.
you hands moved with a purpose yet there was such tenderness in your touch. you fingers brushing against alessia's neck tracing a delicate path up to your jaw before it slipped back down to the blondes collarbone.
your lips followed, leaving a trail of kisses, slow and deliberate each one pressing heat into alessia's skin. your kissing growing bolder as your lips left faint marks littler declaration of ownership and affection.
alessia shivered beneath you touch, both exhilarated and slightly exasperated. her mind trailing to picture the looks she'd no doubt get tomorrow.
"y/n" alessia murmured, her voice a blend of a whine and a laugh she couldn't hold back. she tilted her head slightly to meet your gaze, her warm blue eyes warm despite her words, "the girls are gonna have a field day with this tomorrow"
you pulled back just enough to look at her, an impish grin spreading across your face as you shrugged, mumbling a 'let them'
"you'll look so beautiful in the kit, plus i think the girls will love the evidence" your tone was smug as your hands now resting lightly against alessia's cheek.
alessia rolled her eyes, though the smile tugging at her lips betrayed her amusement. she reached up to tangle her fingers in your hair, gently tugging her closer.
"your impossible" she said through her voice was filled with such affection rather than annoyance.
"maybe," you whispered, your lips hovering teasingly close to alessia's, her breath warm against your skin, "but your stuck with me now"
the words hung in the air for a moment, not as a threat but as a promise, one that alessia found herself wanting to keep. without hesitation alessia pulled you down into another kiss, the kiss this time was softer, less urgent but no less meaningful. a slow unraveling of the walls alessia had built around herself.
the pillows around them had fell into a comforting space, as their laughter bubbled up between kisses. the sound mingled with the whispered promise they exchanged in the quiet room, the kind of promises you make in moments of vulnerability and trust.
as they lay there, limbs entwined and hearts beating in sync, alessia let herself smile. she could feel you tracing lazy patterns along her arms, a silence remind that this, whatever it was, is real.
she looked at you, who was looking at her with a mix of mischief and something deeper, something that made alessia's breath hitch. "i don't actually mind being stuck with you." the blonde admitted softly, her voice carrying the weight of truth she hadn't expected to say out loud.
you grin softened as you leaned down to press another kiss to alessia's forehead, "good"
-
the hotel breakfast buffet was bustling the next morning, with players milling around loading their plates and nursing cups of coffee.
alessia entered the room last, her hair slightly damp from her shower and her arsenal training hoodie zipper halfway up. the blonde keeping her head down as she made her way to the food, hoping to blend into the background.
but she could feel the girls' eyes in her almost instantly.
"morning less" beth's cheerful voice rang out from across the room, far too loud for alessia's liking at that hour of the morning.
"morning" alessia mumbled, not looking up as she grabbed a plate and began piling it with fruit she didn't even want.
beth and leah exchanged glances, kyra seated at the table closest to the buffet, leaned back in her shake her arms crossed.
âless" she called casually her tone dripping with her usually mischief antics. "did you get into a fight with the vaccum cleaner?" kyra trailed off, a teasing grin on her lips.
alessia froze in place, a peice of watermelon halfway to her plate, "what?"
beth smirked pointing to her own neck as if to indicate something, "you've got a little.. something.. right there"
alessia's eyes widened and her hand short up to her neck. her fingers brushed over the faint marks which you'd left the night before â marks she thought she'd covered with a bit of concealer but clearly hadn't done a good enough job as they still peeked through.
"oh god" she muttered under her breath, quickly zipping her hoodie all the way up, her cheeks burning.
too late. the table erupted into laughter.
âno wayâ katie said, grinning as she leaned close to inspect alessiaâs neck, âis that-? oh it is!â
beth clapped her hands together and cheered, âi knew it, leah you owe me my ten quid!â a small grumble coming from the english captain as a small chuckle came from you from the side of the table at the fact they had been betting on when it was finally going to happen.
while alessia was ready to sink through the floor, grabbing her plate and darting to the nearest empty seat which just so happend to be next to you. as in the blondes humble opinion, you were looking far too composed for someone who had caused all the chaos.
âyou couldâve warned meâ alessia hissed under her breath as she sat down, you just shrugging as you took a sip of your coffee before turning to look at the blonde with your usual small and amused smile, âi think you look gorgeousâ
alessia glared at you but the effect was ruined by the way your words affected her making her blush deeper, âyour so annoying at timesâ
you giggled a little leaning in close to her as your voice was low enough only she would hear what you were about to say, âthatâs not what you were saying last night lessiâ
alessia opened her mouth to quip a response back but before she could bethâs voice rang out again. âso, y/n we need answersâ beth said with a wicked grin on her face, âyou finally made a move, didnât you!â
the entire table turned to look at you as you shrugged nonchalantly as you took another sip of your coffee as if this was the most normal conversation in the world.
âmaybeâ
âmaybe?â leah echoed, gaping at you, âthatâs all we get?â
you just smirked, your gaze flicking over to alessia as she was burying her face in her hands, âwhat can i say, better to keep you all guessingâ
âunbelievableâ katie said shaking her head but still laughing, âyou two are the worst-kept secret on the teamâ
alessia let out a groan finally peeking out from behind her hands, âcan we just eat breakfast without all this?â
the was a chorus of noâs from the table, âare you joking weâve been waiting for this for weeksâ kyra said smirking as beth leaned forward, her eyes were sparkling with mischief.
âso what do we get next? the soft launch on insta? matching tattoos, oo maybe a-â
âbeth!â alessia squeaked, her face somehow turning even redder as beth stopped her list mid way with a small frown as she muttered how nobody seemed to appreciate her efforts.
you were clearly enjoying every second of this as you sat back in your seat, actually enjoying your breakfast. reaching over to grab alessiaâs hand under the table and giving it a reassuring squeeze.
ârelaxâ you whispered, your voice warm and reassuring, âtheyâll get bored eventuallyâ
alessia mumbled a response but she couldnât help the small smile that crept into her lips as your thumb traced gentle circle on the back of her hand.
leah raising her glass of juice in a mock toast, âto y/n and less! may their love and our endless teasing never fade!â
and once again the table burst into laughter and despite the embarrassment that filled alessia she couldnât help laugh along with them.
your hand in hers grounding her a silent that even with all the teasing and chaos that it was worth it â whatever the two of you were.
and as she glanced at you, who was smiling at her like she was the only person in the room, alessia decided she could live with the teasing.
after all, sheâd gotten the you.

âSo, you hired another assistant coach without telling me?â, RenĂŠe asked incredulously, well aware that except for her, the room was full of very important looking men.
One of them nodded sternly: âYou needed another one. We made the decision for you.â
RenĂŠe closed her eyes for a brief moment and took a deep breath, fighting the urge to protest. She was Arsenals new head coach after all.
With forced calmness, she asked: âWho is it?â
âYou know her already.â
Her eyebrows knitted together in confusion. She opened her mouth in order to ask what that was about to mean when you finally made your appearance. You had waited all morning in anticipation to surprise your former teammate with your presence.
âHello RenĂŠe.â, you greeted her as you walked into the room.
Recognition flashed across her face, followed by genuine excitement. She got up from her chair, beaming: âYou!â
Before you knew what was happening, she wrapped her arms around your neck and pulled you into a way too tight hug.
âYes, itâs me. Donât strangle me, please! That would be sad first last workday at the Arsenal.â, you laughed.
âYouâre so stupid! I missed you so much.â, RenĂŠe giggled but finally let go of you.
For a second, you stood there and took each other in and it almost felt like nothing had changed since you played together in Sweden.
âI missed you too but now every player and staff member are staring at us which is kind of awkward.â, you admitted, nodding towards the door where the first pairs of eyes tried to figure out who the newest addition to the team was.
âTheyâre just curious about you. Let me introduce you.â, RenĂŠe suggested, leading you out of the conference room.
You followed patiently.
âRenĂŠe, whoâs that girl you almost couldnât let go of?â, Beth asked, blinking innocently at you.
âThatâs y/n. Sheâs the new assistant coach and we used to play together for LinkĂśpings.â, RenĂŠe explained. You didnât miss the slight hint of pride in her voice.
Your eyes found another Swede between the players.
âActually, I played with Stina too.â, you added.
The striker smiled at you: âGood to see you again.â
âYou too. And I canât wait to get to know each of you.â, you said towards the crowd.
RenĂŠe turned to you: âYou will love them.â
âOh, Iâm sure of it.â
âCome on, Iâll show you around.â
Suddenly, your hand was in RenĂŠes as she dragged with her towards the football pitches. You could still feel the eyes of your new players on you as you followed RenĂŠe.
The eyes of Stina's teammates were expectantly drawn to her once the two of you had left the room.
An edgy laugh escaped the blondeâs lips: âWhat? Why are you all looking at me now?â
âTell us!â, Beth commanded grinning.
The Swedish striker began to play nervously with her blonde hair: âWell what do you want to know?â
âAbout our new staff member and RenĂŠe of course!â, Leah replied thrilled.
Using the same excited tone as her, Beth added: âObviously.â
âNot if she was a good baller or had a good sense and understanding of the game.â, Stinas eyes flashed in amusement.
âActually.â, threw Kim in who was unlike the rest of the players indeed interested in that side of you.
The England captain clicked her tongue disapprovingly: âNo, Kim.â
âWe want the tea, Stina.â, Alessia told her.
She paused dramatically, during which everyone held their breath tensely, before admitting:â Yeah, they used to date.â
âWhen they were players or did, they continue to date once she became the head coach?â, Leah asked the forward curiously.
Stina cleared her throat and answered in a serious voice: âThey ended it once RenĂŠe retired and took the coaching job in RosengĂĽrd.â
After this revelation the room fell silent for a second before Beth concluded with a heavy sigh:â Oh, thatâs sad.â
âThey seemed okay with it.â, the Swedish striker remarked.
Meanwhile RenĂŠe and you were walking along the training pitches, it was a cold day, but the golden afternoon sun warmed your faces. It was where you heard yourself say: âIâm glad that you donât seem to mind that I took the job, RenĂŠe. Considering how things have ended between us in MalmĂś.â
âWe mutually agreed to end this relationship.â, the Arsenal head coach remembered, while the smile disappeared from her face.
âTrue, it was the best solution at that time.â, you nodded.
Slowly, as the sunlight disappeared, the warmth returned to Renee's dark eyes, confessing:â Iâm just happy to see you again.â
âSame. Nothing more.â, you agreed.
âThatâs good.â, she observed.
At the end of your tour, you wished her goodbye:â So, Iâll see you tomorrow.â
âYes. See you tomorrow.â, RenĂŠe waved at you, her gaze following you until you were gone.
With a heavy heart the Dutch woman reminisced about all the wins and losses you had shared together in Sweden until her career ending injury put an end to it. Like a disco ball, RenĂŠe had put the shards that had caused the separation into each other to turn the pain into something bright.
She was content with her work, so love life wasn't a big issue until you came back into her life and made her wonder if maybe she should expect more from life.
The next day, you entered the training ground in a cheerful mood. âGood morning, Stina!â, you greeted your former teammate warmly.
âMorning.â, Stina beamed brightly back at you.
There was no time for small talk as Kelly Smith approached you: âY/n?â
âYes?â, you asked surprised. Sometimes you still couldnât believe that you were working with her. Not only was she a legendary player for England but also for the whole of womens football.
She still smiled politely at you: âI think RenĂŠe is looking for you.â
You nodded once: âIâm coming.â
RenĂŠe was already on the pitch, one foot on a ball and her arms folded over her chest as she waited for the players to arrive.
You caught her eye from the other side of the field and smiled at her.
For a split second, RenĂŠe lost her balance on the ball, stumbling forward but catching herself quickly.
It all went by so fast, you had no time to worry about her.
âYouâre good?â, you called out to her, teasing.
You had the feeling that somewhere behind you, Kelly was holding back laughter.
RenĂŠes cheeks had turned a slightly darker colour: âYeah, of course.â
âKelly said you wanted to see me?â, you said as you finally crossed the pitch.
âI do.â
You leaned forward, whispering: âI saw the dinner invitation in the locker room.â
The corners of RenĂŠes mouth quirked up: âGood. Are you free tonight?â
âYes, I am. Will Kelly and the boys join us too?â
âNo, itâs just us.â
Somehow your brain stopped working in that exact moment. You werenât prepared for you and her. You had been thinking of nice little staff dinner where you had the opportunity to get to know everyone better. Being alone with RenĂŠe made your heart race a little.
Hesitantly, you accepted the invitation: âAlright⌠I guess Iâll go back to work.â
âOkay.â, RenĂŠe nodded.
Luckily, the players entered the pitch at that moment.
Beth who had caught the end of your conversation, stared at RenĂŠe with hopeful eyes: âIs that a date?â
âNo.â, the head coach replied matter-of-factly.
Victoria elbowed Beth in the side: âStop seeing things, Beffy.â
âI donâtâ, the winger protested.
Kim rolled her eyes: âYes, you do. Youâre delusional.â
âYou will see.â, Beth said full of confidence before RenĂŠe sent them to warm up.
Against your better judgement, you found yourself in a tiny but charming restaurant that night.
âThe dinner is so delicious, RenĂŠe.â, you said, taking a sip of your wine.
She smiled at you almost shyly: âGlad you like it.â
âNext time we should bring the whole team and staff here.â
Her face turned a bit more serious: âYes, we should. But first I wanted to talk to you alone.â
âAbout something specific?â
âNo, just to catch up.â, RenĂŠe explained whose cheeks were slightly reddish in colour, you werenât sure whether it was the wine or her nervousness.Â
Instead of looking into her curious dark chocolate brown eyes, you stared at the wine glass in front of you as you confessing: âI left Sweden because I needed a change.â
âA change?â, she repeated your words in a sincerely interested tone.
For a moment, you paused while the waitress lit the candle in the centre of the table, the flickering light made the conversation even more intimate: âTo heal from heartbreak. What about you? What did I miss?â
âNot much. I tried to focus on football after leaving RosengĂĽrd.â, the football coach admitted casually. Whilst RenĂŠe undid her low hair bun so that her dark brown hair fell in waves over her shoulders.
With an amused smile on your lips, you remarked in disbelief:â That doesnât sound like the fun RenĂŠe I knew from LinkĂśping.â
Memories of her with a big cigar in her mouth and a ridiculous hat after winning the Swedish league came to your mind.
âHey, Iâm still fun.â, protested the Dutch woman, pointing her fork at you.
You cleared your throat and replied more seriously:â Yes, the players seem to think that too.â
âI take that as a compliment.â, she responded happily.
âYou should, theyâre really great to work with so far.â, you acknowledged.
Her radiant grin was infectious:â I think they like you too.â
âOnly Beth is a bit annoying with..â, you began, thinking about the huge interest the English striker had in your private lives.
RenĂŠe waved your worries off:â Yes, I know. But thatâs just how sheâs, she only has good intentions.â
âI guess thatâs true. I mean would be crazy if you still would have -.. , right?â, you started to ramble. Â
She lifted an eyebrow at you: âWould have what?â
âFeelings after a mutual breakup.â, you finished your previous sentence flustered.
The brunette spoke your name gently.
âYes?â, you glanced at her expectantly.
Fiercely and passionately, RenĂŠe continued: âOf course I do. I didnât break up with you because I didnât have feelings for you anymore, I broke up with you because I suddenly was your coach, and it was wrong to date a player.â
Afterwards, there was a dramatic silence at the table. âWell, Iâm not a player anymore.â, you said matter-of-factly.
âIâm aware of that.â, she answered with a wistful smile.
Slightly sheepishly, you asked her:â Was that why you wanted a dinner with me alone first?â
âTo see if we could get back together? No. I wanted to know how youâre, what youâve been up to?â, the football coach tried to be professional again.
âNow you know.â
âI do.â, RenĂŠe confirmed, playing with the idea to order some dessert for both of you as it was a speciality of this restaurant.
Much to her disappointment though, you stood up:â Thank you for the dinner, it was a nice catching up.â
âYes, I agree.â, the brunette waved at the waitress, signalling that she was ready to pay for the two of you.
The first game of the year and also the first game in your new job was against Crystal Palace a few days later. To your delight, the girls played great, winning the game 5:0 and building their confidence in this first game.
âGreat win, girls.â, you clapped your hands as the referee blew the final whistle.
RenĂŠe appeared on your side.
âThatâs exactly what we wanted to see.â, she agreed.
âOh yes, well done everyone.â, you smiled and handed out water bottles to the players. They high-fived you, done but happy while RenĂŠe said a few words to the players.
Happily you watched as the players rightfully celebrated their win until an elbow to your side made you look up.
RenĂŠe was grinning at you: âGood job from you too.â
âFrom me? I didnât do much yet.â, you said, feeling heat rise into your cheeks.
âYou did everything I expect from my assistant coach. Arsenal made the right decision, weâre a good team.â, RenĂŠe said softly.
You nodded, smiling gently at her: âYes, we are.â
âCome on, let the girls celebrate.â, RenĂŠe said, nodding in the direction of the sidelines so your players could have the pitch to themselves.
You didnât follow immediately. Instead, you pointed to a few reporters that stood on the side, waiting for their first interviews. âThe media already calls for you.â
âOn my way.â, RenĂŠe winked and disappeared into the direction of the cameras.
Just when you were wondering when exactly she became so comfortable giving interviews, Leah stepped into your field of vision.
âLeah? Shouldnât you celebrate with your teammates?â, you asked jokingly.
She shrugged with a smile: âI was about to. Itâs not everyday that you score a goal as a defender.â
âI know. Thatâs why you need to enjoy every second of it.â
âOh, I will.â
âThen what are you waiting for?â, you laughed.
Leah pushed you gently towards the rest of the team: âCelebrate with us!â
There was no way you could decline now, so you agreed and followed along: âAlright.â
A few minutes of jumping and hugging several players later, RenĂŠe found you on the pitch again.
Her eyes glowed with amusement: âDid they manage to get you to celebrate with them?â
âI couldnât say no to that.â, you admitted
âOf course not.â, RenĂŠe laughed.
âSee?â
She winked at you: âEnjoy your first win.â
You toasted to her with a random water bottle that somehow had ended up in your hand: âTo many more wins.â
âYes, please.â, she laughed.
âY/n! Come with us!â, Beth interrupted your conversation and waved you over.
âWhere are we going?â, you asked.
âItâs a surprise.â, Mariona replied instead of Beth, smiling excitedly.
It was already night when you got home and when you saw RenĂŠe's number light up on your mobile phone, you held your breath for a moment, although you didn't know exactly why.
âSorry, I hope I didnât wake you up.â, she apologized quietly as you answered her call.
A soft chuckle escaped your lips: âNo, I was still awake, the Arsenal players can stay in pubs forever let me tell you that.
âOh, I know, they did that to me too once.â, the Dutch woman remembered fondly.
âKim and I left at the same time.â Teasingly you added:â So did you call me because you have come up with a masterplan against Chelsea or is it something else?â
âItâs something else. Thereâs something I need to talk about with youâ, RenĂŠe admitted.
Your heart began to race: âSure.â
âI kind of miss what we had back when.â, the head coach confessed.
The moment she said that you caught yourself reminiscing about memories of the past âMe too. We had some good parties with the team back then too.â
âY/n.. I meant us. You and me.â, RenĂŠe clarified.
You felt the hope rise in you: âDo you think we could start again?â
âI donât know, would you even like that? Or would you rather want to keep it professional.â, she began to nervously ramble.
You had heard yourself thinking out loud: âPretty sure both can work this time.â
âYes, but I want to know what you want.â
âI want to be with you. RenĂŠe, youâre an idiot, why are you standing outside in the cold?!â, you whispered into the phone, your eyes wandering off to the window where you noticed her in flesh and blood under the golden glow of the streetlamp light.
âIn case that you say yes. What did you expect me to do? Go back to bed?â, RenĂŠe questioned with a warm laugh. Â
Soon you got up to go to the front door: âWait, Iâll let you in.â
âThanks.â, she replied relived.
âYou look like youâre freezing, come inside.â, you observed while you let her inside.
The brunette thanked you once more, kissing you, her icy lips melting on yours as the door closed behind the two of you.

Summary Your girlfriends see you in full work mode for the first time
â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘
It had been a calm day for you which was always a rare occasion.
You worked for the NCA which was always hard job but a very rewarding one.
You hadnât been called into work today, there being no major cases so luckily for you, you got to stay home.
Your girlfriends, Leah and Alessia, had also been off today, having only played a match last night.
Although it had been relaxing, you knew it wouldnât last for long.
Alessia, being the nicest person on earth, offered to host team bonding at your shared house.
Leah wasnât present when Alessia planned it so she couldnât intervene with the answer.
When Alessia told you, you didnât mind too much.
Yes, it would loud and cause a mess, having twenty other people round, but you lived your girlfriendâs teammates as if they were your teammates.
One by one, everyone came round, bringing food and drinks with them which you were grateful for.
Everyone fell into light conversations, people asking how your work was and if you were coming to any games soon.
It had been a few hours and you were sat in between Alessia and Leah. Alessia had her head resting on your shoulder, whilst your hand rested on Leahâs lap, your fingers intertwined.
You were just about to put on a film for everyone to watch when your phone started ringing.
âHi, Joe, whatâs up?â You asked, hearing your bosses voice over the phone.
âIâm so sorry, Y/N. A case has come to our attention and we need you here. Itâs double pay for it being late.â Joe explained, you humming in agreement.
âIâll be there in twenty. See you soon.â You hung up, giving everyone a sad look. âIâve got to go. Thereâs a case where they need me.â
As you were leaving the room to get changed, you noticed Leah and Alessia high fiving each other.
âWhatâs got you two so happy?â
âWe get to see you in your uniform.â Alessia responded, her face turning a light shade of red.
âCheeky.â You muttered, winking at them both as you jogged up the stairs.
You were in your full kit, your vest on, your hat, everything.
You knew Alessia and Leah loved seeing you in your kit, hence why most times you wore it and had some free time, the three of you ended up in bed.
You walked downstairs, peeping your head into the living room.
âGo on, Y/N. Letâs see why them two wonât stop blushing at the thought of your uniform.â Katie said
You stepped into the living room, everyoneâs eyes on you.
âIâd have my gun too, but itâs safe and sound at the office.â
Leah and Alessia got jealous as they saw everyone eyeing you.
âAlright enough staring. No more looking at her.â Leah spoke up, ushering you out the lounge and into the hallway so it was just the two of you, Alessia joining soon after.
âJealous, ey, Williamson?â Katie joked, Caitlin smacking her shoulder to get her to stop.
âStay safe, okay?â Alessia told you, pressing her lips to your cheek.
âI will, I promise. Have fun with the girls.â
You placed a kiss on Leahâs and Alessiaâs lips before shutting the door behind you.
âI can see why you like Y/N in her uniform. God, she lookedââ Katie began, clearly joking but stopped immediately once she saw the look Leah was giving her.
âLeâŚâ Alessia warned, linking her hands with Leahâs as they sat down.
âY/Nâs ours, not yours Katie.â
âAwh, jealous are we, Leah?â
âKatie!â

Art // Leah Williamson

You loved playing football yet drawing and painting was your silent passion. A passion nobody really knew about.
It all started when you were a kid. After a bad day, lost match you would be so angry and disappointed that you would draw your anger away. It didnât matter if it was with pencils, crayons or acrylic, you didnât care if it was on paper or on a canvas. You just had to draw/paint.
Slowly, it not only started to reduce your anger but to become a daily thing. Over the years you got better and better and even sold some paintings.
When you moved to London, transfered to Arsenal from the german league you took your painting utils with you.
In your new apartment was an extra room which used to be a guest room - you didn't need it, so you set it up as a painting room. The floor was covered with foil as were parts of the wall while many canvases and tubes of paint stood on the newly built shelves. Your desk was full of paper, sketchbooks, pens, erasers, etc. everything an artist needed. It was your favorite room in your apartment.
As the weeks went on, you drew everything interesting. Such as the training facility, jerseys, the stadium and much more.
But If someone would have looked through your sketchbook they wouldâve noticed that there was one thing or rather one person which was drawn very often. Arsenals number 6. Leah Williamson. You couldnât explain why but she was incredible. Everything about her was perfect; her talent, her personality, her smile. You just could not not draw her. Often you only realized that you had drawn her after your drawing was already finished and when drawing number 12 of Leah was finished you knew you had a crush on her. What you didnât realize though was a) she also developed a crush on you and b) your face and hands covered in paint and pencil has not gone unnoticed. To find out why that was the team formed an alliance. When Rosa questioned why they simply didnât ask you her head was smacked from Kyra, Alessia and Vic. "Itâs much more exciting this way" Kyra replied mischievously.
Mission Colour had officially started.
On bus rides, plane flights, away games you would always have your 'away sketchbook' and one pencil with you just to calm down or to stay calm. Most of the time you sat next to Manu, your national teammate. She was like big sister to you and of course she knew about your drawing talent but what she didnât know was that a few teammates wanted to find out. As well Manu knew about your little crush, not because you told her but because she saw your sketch of Leah and connected the dots.
It was the next day when you came to training with a blue stripe on you forehead and hands covered with many shades of blue. This morning you worked on your current project (a painting of the ocean) and lost track of time. You hadnât had the chance to look in the mirror again after you rushed out of your flat to the car.
Fast forward, here you were in the training facility in bright red clothes while your skin was covered in blue.
"Looking like Papa smurf" Katie laughed, gently shoving you towards the mirror in the changing room.
Your eyes widened in horror, "Shit" aggressively you started to rub at the stripe of paint but it was too late. The stripe was already dry. Making your way to the bathroom, you wet the paper towel, not much hope about cleaning your face.
"Hey" you heard a voice beside you, your eyes locking with the blonde defenders through the mirror, "do you need some help?" Leah asked, already concerned by the way you aggressively rubbed your forehead, "hey, lemme-" the girl gently tugged at your wrist as she turned you to face her. She grabbed another paper towel, putting a tiny bit of soap on it before she put it under water. In silence, the taller girl started to clean your face. Her movements were slow and tender as she tried to stay cool while she was so close to you. In the meantime, you admired the blonde, scanned every feature of her face.
"Secretly a Chelsea fan, huh?" the gunner asked, trying to ease the obvious tension in the room.
"Gosh no," you chuckled, "I was working on my new proctect this morning and lost track of time" you admitted, Leah raising a brow in return.
"You must think Iâm pretty unorganized, hm?"
"of course not!" She replied immediately, "i was just wondering, project? What project?"
"Itâs nothing much, just a painting project" you shrugged your shoulders, "the ocean."
"I didnât know you could paint" she stated, the dots connecting with all the paint stains that covered your clothes and body since you had arrived in London.
"Maybe youâd like to see some of my works?" your voice was quiet, shy as you nervously scratched your neck.
"Itâs a date" the same moment, Leah dropped the comment, you heard Kim call, "training starts" which let Leah hurry out of the room, leaving you completely shocked and with a mix of nervousness and excitement alone. Was she serious?
-
"Leah, wait!"
Training had finished half an hour ago, the girls, including you, doing their usual routines, some had physio, some went straight to the showers or others that just changed their clothes happy to finally go home - Leah, one of the girls who preferred to shower at home after a particularly long cardio session.
"Were you serious about the date? Because if not that would be totally fine, but if so, Iâd really like to go on a date with you" you rambled, "we could go out for dinner or i could cook for you or not, because Iâm not the greatest cook, but maybe take out would be fine too?! whatever you like works for me!"
"Take a deep breath, love" she smiled, squeezing your hand, "i was serious" her cheeks slowly turning red, "sorry, couldâve been a bit more romantic, i admit, but indeed, Iâd be very happy to go on a date with you"
"Oh, really!" you were so surprised, shocked even that the Leah Williamson wanted to go on a date with you.
"Yes, really. What about this: Iâll go home for a shower and at-" she looked at her watch, "at 7, Iâll be at your front door with some food in my hands. Neither of us has to cook and we can have a nice and relaxed evening, how does that sound?"
"That sounds perfect, thank you"
"See you soon" she smiled, pressing a kiss to your cheek as she felt brave enough to do so in that moment.
Like in trance, you watched her walk away while your fingers touched the spot were lips had been a few seconds ago. Wow.
On the other hand as soon as Leah sat in her car, she did a little happy dance, finally getting the chance to spend some time with you alone and even better, being able to call it a date.
-
5 minutes early the defender stood in front of your door, two bags of food in one hand while the other hand held a bouquet of flowers.
With confidence Leah rang the door bell, she felt untouchable. She had a date with the prettiest girl and nothing would stop her from trying to be the best version of herself for you. She really wanted this to work out.
In all honesty, Leah had been crushing on you for quite a while. It all started with an international friendly where you both were captaining your nations. You fell in conversation easily, the blonde friends with some of your national teammates.
Since then the Lioness followed you on your socials, also enjoying watching you play football - something about your technic and brain for the game made her fall in love with football all over again.
When the announcement was made that youâd join Arsenal, she was excited, overly so. She wanted to talk to you again, be your friend. But soon the thought of just being friends combined with her little crush on you that was getting bigger and bigger day by day was long forgotten. She wanted to get to know you, on a deeper level than just the typical friendly one.
"Hey! Welcome in" you said with a wide smile, stepping aside.
"Hi, these are for you" the defenders cheeks turned slightly pink as yours did too.
"These are beautiful, thank you so much" the bouquet was big mix of multiple flowers in multiple colours, "i didnât know what your favorite flower was, so i bought one of each they had"
"I love it and I really appreciate it" shy smiles were exchanged before your attention was brought back, "follow me. So this is my living room and as you can see, thereâs my kitchen. I hope you like wine? I found this one in my cupboard" you pointed at the bottle on your coffee table. "Here let me plate the food, make yourself a home" as you wandered off to the kitchen, Leah admired your home. It was tidy yet looked very cozy. Then her gaze fell to various of pictures and paintings you had in your living room. One in particular caught her attention, it reminded her of something that she couldnât form in words, an familiar warm feeling filled her chest as she looked at it closely - something about this painting was special.
-
The night went on with an ease, everything felt so natural. Dinner was great, the conversation flowing, the tv long forgotten as both of your attentions were on each other. Throughout the night the two of you had moved closer, knees already touching as you shared jokes and stories about everything and nothing.
"I must say, i really like the paintings in here. This one especially" she pointed at your favorite.
"Thank you, thatâs very nice of you to say"
"How much did they cost you? They look so expensive!" she admired, quickly realizing what an rude question she asked, "oh Iâm so sorry, thatâs not something I should be asking"
"No, donât worry, youâre good" you assured her, "they didnât cost me anything, i did them myself" you said, "well, thatâs a lie, i had to buy the canvas and the paint but other than that i didnât cost me anything."
"No way! You really did these? Are you joking?"
You shook your head.
"Wow! These are amazing. Like seriously, youâve got some serious talent!"
Soon you furiously started to blush, getting all shy as you looked away from the gunner.
"Can i see the ocean painting which you talked earlier about?" she remembered, hoping to get see more of your work.
"Sure, but itâs not finished yet"
"Thatâs fine. Iâd see anything you painted, really, this is so impressive"
"Stop" you buried your face in your hands, your cheeks as hot as ever, the tip of your ears a deep shade of red, "hey, no. Donât hide that pretty face of yours" taking your hands out of your face, you stared at each other as everything around you fell silent. Both of you were so close, if you would just lean forward-
"Here follow me" you broke the silence, grabbing the lionessâ hand and dragging her to your art room, "donât mind the mess" you said as you opened the door, showing Leah the inside of your heart.
For once, the defender didnât know what to say. Everywhere she looked where painting, sketches and drawings. It was like she not only stepped into your heart but also your brain.
"Wow" she whispered, in utter disbelief at what she saw. You did this. All of this!
Walking around the room Leah felt like she was at an art gallery, heavily impressed about the beauty she got to see in each painting.
"May i look in these too?" she asked once she was at your desk, sketchbooks across the table.
Slowly, you nodded. In that moment, you didnât even think about the fact that you had sketched Leah too, and that more than once.
Every now and then, compliments slipped out while her fingers traced the lines and shapes of your art.
Then she stopped, silence deafening, "is that me?" she whispered, looking at more pages of herself.
"What? Shit, no, no, no." With a few quick steps, you slammed the book shut. Too embarrassed to even look at her, "you werenât supposed to see those" you muttered.
"So it was me?" she asked again, even though it was quite obvious that it was her indeed.
"Yes, Iâm sorry. Iâm not a creep i promise! Youâre just- just so-" your brain went blank.
"yeah?"
"youâre⌠youâre just so amazing and i- I really like you. And i only realized that i sketched you once it was too late. Iâm really sorry! You werenât even supposed to see them. Iâm not a creep, Iâm just in love with you and i never thought youâd like me back and now youâre here with me on date. Well at least thatâs what you said it was. But itâs totally fine, if you donât want it to be a date anymore or if you want leave now or-" in the middle of your ramble, Leah cut you off, with her lips gently pressing against your own, a perfect way to shut you up. Your body relaxed immediately as your lips responded to the new sensation. Leahâs hands fell to your hips while yours laid on her stomach, your brain not knowing where else to put them as it was completely consumed by Leah kissing you.
Here you were in the heart of your art with Leah, the most beautiful girl, who was kissing you, the artist.
And even though, most artist are only known for their work by everyone after their death, you werenât most and Leah surely wasnât everyone. She was the one.
"Wow"
"Indeed wow"
You both stared at each other in silence, loving the tranquil atmosphere you had created.
"So what should i call you now? Picasso? Van Gogh? Michelangelo? Da Vinci?"
You laughed at her comment, playfully hitting her chest while she pulled you even closer in return.
"While i did like Papa smurf, Iâd eventually prefer my girlfriend" she smiled, leaning in once again.

Fix This
Leah Williamson x reader x Alessia Russo
Warnings: Basic writing first one back so be nice yeah
âI-I miss you, bo-both of youâ
You feel your heart break as you watch tears pool at the bottom of Alessiaâs eyes and theres nothing you or Leah can do about it over this stupid facetime call, but its not like Alessias only up the road, shes four hours away in Manchester, four hours away from a hug, a kiss a cuddle, a hand running through her hair telling her everything is going to be ok.
If this was any other night you would get in your car and drive those four hours to her, to hug her, kiss her, cuddle her, run your hand through her bright blonde hair and tell her its going to be ok but its not any other night, its the night before the new season, the night before you play Brighton at Meadow park.
Your heart hurts more and more as you watch the older girl wipe her red eyes with her (Leah's) jumper sleeve, sniffling and hiccuping still.
"We will see you soon love we promise."
Alessia knows thats the best the both of you can do but it still hurts, the distance still hurts.
"Don't hang up the phone please." You shake your head, "Never Less, we are on this end for as long as you need." Alessia nods softly her voice quite "Just until i fall asleep at least." Leah nodds "Of course Darlin as long as you need."
You fall asleep first, it happens every time, your head perched on Leah's chest so you could still see Alessia but the sound of the older pair talking in hushed voices always sends you to sleep sooner than you'd like, you've tried many times to stay awake for less's sake you say, but you can't, as soon as the hushed voices are brought in your out like a light.
"Go to sleep Darlin, you look exhausted.`' Alessia only hums at Leah's reguest her eyes fixated on you, she misses you, misses you falling asleep on her as she combs her fingers through your hair talking about the most random thing, she misses Leah too, she misses the way Leah entertains her random thoughts, how she always knows the right things to say, when she needs to be held and not let go of, or when she eventually does need to be let go of, she misses playing house with the two of you, misses lying around the house, running silly little errands, cooking dinner, movie nights, late mornings spent wrapped in bed together, the things she can only do during the short breaks the seasons allow.
"Don't hang up" Leah smiled softly at the younger girl "Never" Alessia nodds adjusting herself "Tell her I love her" Leah sighs her eyes flicking to you. "Trust me pretty girl, she knows." Alessia nods "But still." Leah agrees whispering a soft goodnight as Alessias eyes begin to shut.
International breaks were the best times for the three of you to get together, to be together happy in a relationship that wasnât miles apart.
None of you shared rooms Leah stayed with Georgia, Less with Tooney and you with Alex. The girls had their roommates by the time you got called up to the senior squad, you being a couple years younger then Less and so even though you had all been together a couple of months you didnât want to disrupt their camp routines and instead stayed with Alex, the older girl being sure to look after you at every opportunity.
Still during down time your teammates could find the three of you stuck together, either in the chill room, squished on someoneâs bed asleep as a movie played in the background or wandering the grounds. These camps were no different and as you headed to your second last camp of the year you prepared to be joint at the hip with your blondies.
Only Less didnât seek you or Leah out on your arrival like she normally did and when you found her she simply gave you a hug and a quick kiss before wandering off with her United girls.
As the days passed during the international camp, your heart ached with growing concern. Alessia's usual bubbly energy seemed subdued, her laughter replaced by a quiet melancholy. Leah noticed it too, her worried glances mirroring your own.
"Are you okay?" Leah asked one evening as you sat together in the team's lounge.
You shrugged. "I guess. It's just... why won't she talk to us."
Leah knew what you meant. The season was ramping up, and the pressure was on. But she also knew that something else was bothering you.
"I don't know love, maybe theres things happening with Marc that she just doesn't want to talk to us about yet, but she'll come when shes ready ok."
You hesitated. "hmm. I don't know. I'm worried about her Le."
Leah reached out and took your hand. "It's okay to be worried but Less knows we're here."
You sighed. "I just miss her. And I'm worried about her. She's been working really hard, and I know she's stressed."
Leah nodded. "I understand. I do. I feel the the same way."
You flop your head on to Leah's shoulder "I love you."
Leah kissed your fair squeezing you tightly âI love you too, she does too darling sheâs just having a hard time showing it.â
The international break was supposed to be a respite, a chance for the three of you to reconnect and recharge. But the weight of distance and unspoken worries hung heavy in the air. Alessia's usual vibrant spirit was dimmed, replaced by a quiet melancholy that worried you and Leah.
The following day, you couldn't shake the feeling of unease. Alessia was still distant, her smiles forced and her laughter absent. During a training session, you caught her staring into space, a far-off look in her eyes.
After practice, you approached her cautiously. "Less, can we talk?"
She nodded, her voice barely a whisper. "What."
You found a quiet corner of the training ground, the two of you sitting side by side. "What's wrong, love? You've been off."
Alessia hesitated, her eyes darting away, but her voice harsh and cold. "It's nothing. Just a lot going on."
You knew that wasn't the whole truth. "Is it Marc? Something with the team?"
Alessia turns snapping immediately "It's none of your business!" You flinch at her harshness, Leah placing a hand on your back rubbing gentle circles trying to calm you. "I'm fine okay? Just leave me alone." She stands up and walks off, leaving you and Leah stunned.
"Less, please," Leah interjected, her voice gentle but firm. "We're just worried about you."
Alessia scoffed. "Worried? You? You're worried about me? You're worried about your own careers, your own lives. You don't care about me."
Your heart sank. You knew that wasn't true, but you couldn't argue with her. She was hurting, and she was lashing out.
"I'm sorry, Less," you managed to say, your voice barely a whisper. "We just want to help."
Alessia stood up abruptly, her eyes filled with tears. "Just leave me alone."
She turned and walked away, leaving you and Leah stunned and heartbroken.
The silence between you and Leah was heavy, the weight of Alessia's words hanging in the air. You both knew she was hurting, but her words had cut deep.
"I don't understand," Leah murmured, her voice filled with confusion. "We're trying to help her."
You sighed, running a hand through your hair. "I know, but she's shutting us out."
"Maybe she just needs some space," Leah suggested, though her voice lacked conviction.
Alex watched you return heartbroken. "SheâŚsomething is really wrong Ale, IâŚwe don't know what to do." Alex lay with you as you racked your brain for every possible reason, tears streaming down your face as your heart broke for the younger blond.
You don't remeber falling asleep but you wake up tucked into Alex's bed, the older girl up and getting ready for the day. "Hey sleepy, I thought i'd let you sleep longer, but we should head for breakfast before I get a warning." You groaned rolling out of the bed you already hated today.
The weight of Alessia's words still hung heavy in the air, as you entered the foodhall. You and Leah exchanged worried glances, unsure of how to approach her. The tension between you was palpable, a stark contrast to the usual camaraderie you shared.
After training, you decided to take a chance. You found Alessia sitting alone on a bench, her gaze fixed on the field. You hesitated, unsure of how she would react.
"Less," you began, your voice soft. "Can we talk?"
She turned to you, her eyes filled with a mixture of anger and sadness. "What do you want?"
You took a deep breath. "I just want to understand. What's going on?"
Alessia stood up abruptly. "There's nothing to understand. I'm fine."
You reached out to her, but she pulled away. "Don't touch me," she said coldly.
Your heart ached. You knew she was hurting, but she was pushing everyone away.
"Less, please," you interjected, your voice gentle. "We're just worried about you."
By now half the team was watching you both as Leah stepped forward ready to mediate you both.
Alessia scoffed. "Why don't you go worry about your new girlfriend, was two not enough for you, you have to whore yourself out to Alex too."
The air crackled with tension as Alessia's words hung heavy in the air. You felt a wave of shock wash over you, followed by a deep hurt. You loved Alessia, and you knew she loved you back, but her words were like daggers, cutting deep into your heart.
"Hey, you better step the fuck down Alessia that is no way to speak to her no matter how hurt you are, Y/n's just trying to make sure your ok."
Alessia huffed "Like hell she is, to busy cuddling up to Alex, and stringin you along too, pathetic."
Your heart shattered into a million pieces. You couldn't believe what you were hearing. You had always been honest with Alessia, with both of them. You loved them both, and you had never hidden that fact. But now, in her pain, she was accusing you of something you hadn't done.
"Alessia," you began, your voice barely a whisper. "That's not fair. You know that's not true."
But she wouldn't listen. She continued to lash out, her words cutting deeper with each passing moment. You felt a wave of despair wash over you. You had tried to help her, to understand her, but she was pushing you away.
"Oh, really? Then explain why you're always with her, why you're always cuddling up to her. You're just using me, using us both."
Your heart ached as you tried to explain, but your words were lost in the storm of Alessia's accusations. You felt helpless, trapped in a nightmare that you couldn't wake up from.
"Just leave me alone," Alessia finally said, her voice filled with anger and despair. "I don't want to see you anymore."
In the end, you turned and walked away, tears brimming your eyes as you will them not to fall. She doesn't mean it, she doesn't mean it.
You feel numb, You know shes hurting, that shes hiding something from you, but you never thought she would be so mean, shouting at you infront of your friends/teamates, accusing you of wanting to get with Alex.
"I can't believe she said that," you finally managed to say, your voice barely a whisper.Â
Leah stands against the wall in your room, her eyes scan your everymove waiting for you to break.
"It's not true."
Leah crouched down putting a comforting hand on your knee. "I know, love. It's not true."
"Will you go check on her please Le." Leahs eyes softened nodding "You sure."
You nod squeezing her hand, "Please baby she needs you, I'm ok"
Leah found Less in the rec room her head in her hands as Tooney talked to her quietly.
"Less," Leah began, her voice gentle, Alessia shot up throwing her self at the defender, Leah held her tight rubbing soft circles on her back. "I know you're hurting, but what you said to Y/n was unfair."
Alessia's eyes filled with tears. "I know, I know. I didn't mean it. I'm just so messed up right now."
Leah sat down beside her, her hand resting on Alessia's. "What's going on? Is there something you're not telling us?"
Alessia hesitated, her eyes darting away. "He won't let me leave Leah, I want to leave but Marc he..."
Alessia's voice trailed off, her eyes filled with fear and despair. Leah's heart sank. She knew Marc, the Manchester United manager, was a demanding figure, but she hadn't imagined anything like this.
"Oh, darling," Leah said, pulling Alessia into a tight hug. "I'm so sorry."
Alessia sobbed into Leah's shoulder, her body shaking with emotion. Leah held her tightly, offering comfort and support.
"We'll figure this out," Leah assured her. "We'll get you out of there."
After a while, Alessia calmed down, her sobs subsiding into quiet sniffles. She looked up at Leah, her eyes red and swollen.
"I don't know what to do," she whispered.
Leah sighed, pulling Alessia into another hug. "We'll figure it out together," she promised.
Alessia nodded, "I...I was so mean to her."
Leah nodded "You were, shes upset and hurt but you are too and she knows that"
"I'm going to go check on her." Alessia said gently pulling away from Leah.
Less found you sitting on the edge of your bed, your eyes red and puffy. You looked up as Less entered the room, quickly wipping your eyes.
"Hey" Y/n asked, her voice barely a whisper.
Alessia walked over to you and sat down beside you, taking your hand.Â
"Hey," Alessia replied, her voice soft. "I'm so sorry."
Her voice filled with remorse. "what I said was horrible, I was horrible."
You looked at her, your heart softening. "It's okay, Less. I know you didn't mean it."
Alessia shook her head. "No, I did. I was so selfish and angry. I took it out on you, and I hurt you."
You reached out and pulled her into a hug. "It's okay," you said softly.Â
The dam broke then as Alessia sobbed as you wrapped your arms around her tightly. "It's ok, we are ok."
Alessia hesitated, then took a deep breath. "It's Marc," she said, her voice barely audible. " He won't let me leave. i want to leave United, I want to move closer to you, to Leah. But i can't "
Your heart sank. You knew Marc was a tough manager, but you had no idea he was a straight up asshole.
Alessia sobbed into your shoulder. "I know. I'm so sorry for taking it out on you."
You held her tightly, trying to offer comfort. "It's okay. I understand."
After a while, Alessia pulled away. "I need to leave," she said. "I need to get out of there."
You nodded "You will, we will get you out of there, I'll get on to Luca, I..I'll talk to Jonas, Leah will to, we will get you out of there."
Less fell asleep a short while later head tucked into the crook of your neck.
Leah opened the door slowly scared to wake you but surprised to see you wide awake your hands softly combing through the younger blonded hair.
"Sorted?" Leah asked quietly, You smiled softly opening your other arm inviting her to join.
"not yet but it will be, we'll get her out won't we." Leah nodded kissing below your chin before kissing Lesses head "Of course we will."
"You ok though." Leah asked shuffling to lie down more comfortably with you both.
"I knew she never meant it, doesn't mean it didn't hurt but as long as you both know im not a slag i'll be ok."
Leah let out a soft laugh "You a slag, the girl who couldn't talk to either of us without stuttering, I think your safe."
"Good" you let out barley above a whisper as your eyes began to drop.
"Go to sleep love, we'll be here when you wake up."

NOTHING MUCH(Russo's sister X Leah Williamson)

Kay Russo had always been Alessiaâs shadow. Since they were little girls, Alessia was the star of the family: the one who shined on the football field, the one who made her parents proud, the one who had a solid group of friends who seemed to want to crush anyone who didnât fit into their perfect world. Kay, on the other hand, was âthe other.â It wasnât that she wasnât talented; it just never seemed like enough.
As they grew up, the differences became more pronounced. Alessia had a clear path: Manchester United, the English national team, and eventually Arsenal. On the other hand, Kay was stuck in mediocre jobs and awful comments from her parents and sister. âWhy canât you be more like Alessia?â was a phrase she heard all too often.
The relationship between Kay and Alessia was tense, but the breaking point came one night, when Alessia, along with a group of her friends, began to make fun of Kay in front of everyone at a family gathering.
âAnd you, Kay?â âWhat have you been up to lately?â Alessia said with a venomous smile. âDid you find a job or are you still living off of mom and dadâs money?â
Laughter echoed around the room, and though Kay tried to keep her composure, she felt her stomach churn with shame. That night, locked in her room, Kay collapsed on her bed with her eyes filled with tears. She knew she had to change something in her life and escape that toxic dynamic. It was then that while surfing the internet, she saw an ad for the Royal Navy: âFind a purpose. Discover your potential. Join the Royal Navy.â
Kay didnât think twice. She knew that enlisting was her ticket out, but she also knew that her family would never understand. So she made a drastic decision: she didnât tell them anything. The following week, the recruitment process began.
A few weeks later, Kay received confirmation: she had been accepted. The date to report was marked on her calendar, and as it approached, she felt a mix of nerves and relief. One night before she left, she decided she should at least tell her family something, but not everything.
âIâm leaving tomorrow, Iâll be gone for a while,â she said over dinner.
Her mother looked up from her plate with disdain.
âOn ââvacation? With what money?â she asked sarcastically.
Kay took a deep breath, trying not to lose her cool. âNever mind, I just wanted to let them know.â
Alessia laughed softly and murmured, âAlways so mysterious.â
Kay gritted her teeth, finishing her meal in silence. That would be the last dinner she would share with them for a long time.
The day Kay left, she left home early, carrying a backpack and leaving behind a short note on the kitchen table: âIâm gone. I donât know when Iâll be back. Take care of yourselves.â
The months that followed were a whirlwind. Basic training in the Royal Navy was brutal, but Kay held on to it with determination. Every physical exercise, every lesson, every grueling hour felt like a step toward freedom. Here she wasn't "Alessia's sister," she didn't have to endure her family's hurtful comments. Here she was simply Kay, someone trying hard to find her place.
After completing her training, Kay was given her first leave. She decided to return home, even though she knew it would be difficult.
When she arrived, the reception was cold. Alessia wasnât even there; she was away on a trip with her team. Her parents barely showed any interest in hearing about her experience in the Navy.
âSo whatâs next?â her father asked in an indifferent tone. âAre you going to be here long?â
Kay felt the knot in her chest grow bigger. That night, as Alessia posted pictures on Instagram with her teammates, Kay sat alone in the backyard, wondering if she would ever truly belong in this family.
It was during one of those visits home that Kay met Leah Williamson. Alessia had invited some of her teammates over for dinner, and though Kay tried to stay out of the way, she couldnât help but run into them. Leah was kind, something Kay hadnât expected. They had a brief but meaningful conversation, and in that moment, Kay felt something she hadnât felt in a long time: connection.
Kay returned to her base after that brief visit home. The experience only reinforced what she already knew: her family would not change. But one thing remained in her mind: Leah Williamson. They had exchanged a few words over dinner, but there was something about her warmth, the way she seemed to see Kay as a person, and not as a shadow of Alessia. Leah didnât know her, she was unprejudiced, and that made her different.
The day Kay had her first chance to visit London while on leave, she remembered that Leah was playing for Arsenal. She decided to take a chance and attend a match. It was strange to be surrounded by thousands of fans excited about something that, until recently, had been a source of insecurity for her: football and the shadow of her sister. Alessia was not on the team yet, which made the experience a little more bearable.
After the match, Leah, who had played spectacularly, was surrounded by fans and media. Kay watched her from a distance, trying to convince herself that she would simply leave without saying anything. But Leah saw her.
âKay!â she called from the field, waving excitedly.
Kay froze for a moment before shyly approaching.
âWhat are you doing here babe?â Leah asked, clearly surprised but pleased.
Kay shrugged, trying not to look nervous. âI was in town and thought Iâd come to watch the game.â
Leah smiled, and something in her expression made Kay feel less invisible. âIâm glad you came. Do you have plans now?â
Before she could stop herself, Kay shook her head. That night, they ended up having dinner together at a small, low-key restaurant near the stadium. It was the start of something unexpected.
As the months passed, Kayâs visits to London became more frequent. She always found an excuse to see her, and Leah seemed to enjoy her company as much as she enjoyed Leahâs. They talked about everything: life in the Navy, the challenges of being a professional soccer player, and, occasionally, Kayâs family struggles.
One night, as they walked through the quiet streets of London after dinner, Leah stopped and looked at her seriously.
âKay, why donât you ever talk about Alessia much? I know you are sisters, but you almost seem to avoid mentioning her.â
Kay looked at the ground, feeling her chest tighten. Talking about Alessia was like opening a wound that never healed.
âItâs complicated, Leah. Iâve always been⌠different to them. Alessiaâs the star, the one who shines. I⌠I just exist on the periphery.â
Leah took her hand, an unexpected but comforting gesture. âThatâs not fair, Kay. You shouldnât feel that way.â
Kay looked up, surprised by Leahâs sincerity. It was at that moment that she knew this connection was something special.
As her relationship with Leah grew stronger, Kay knew there would be trouble sooner or later. Leah was a public figure, and although she hadnât revealed details of her personal life to the world, speculation was constant. The Arsenal team was full of rumors about who Leahâs partner could be, but no one suspected Kay. Alessia, still playing in Manchester, had no idea that her younger sister was getting so close to one of her friends.
Kay also knew that her family wouldnât approve of the relationship, not only because of who Leah was, but because the idea that she could have anything valuable in her life seemed inconceivable to them.
Everything changed when Kay received the news of a new deployment abroad. It was a high-risk mission, and although she was used to challenges, this time was different. Now she had something to lose. When she told Leah, the reaction was immediate.
âHow long will you be gone honey?â Leah asked, trying to remain calm.
âI donât know but it could be months.â Leah nodded and cuddled her, but Kay could see the worry in her eyes. That night, as they said goodbye, Leah hugged her tighter than usual.
âJust promise me youâll come back, okay?â
Kay didnât answer, because she knew that was a promise she couldnât guarantee.
During deployment, Kay was severely wounded in an ambush. The bullet that hit her back damaged her spine, leaving her paralyzed from the waist down. Doctors told her she would never walk again. The physical pain was immense, but the emotional blow was even worse.
When she was finally able to reach Leah from the military hospital, the conversation was brief but full of emotion.
âIâm alive,â was the first thing Kay said, her voice shaking.
Leah, on the other end of the line, let out a sigh of relief, but she couldnât hide her worry. âWhat happened, Kay? Tell me the truth.â
Kay closed her eyes, feeling the tears begin to flow. âIâm in a wheelchair, Leah.â I donât know whatâs going to happen to me.
The silence on the other end of the line was painful, but when Leah finally spoke, her voice was firm. âIâm going to be with you, Kay. No matter what.â
Kay spent weeks in the military hospital, facing the reality of her condition. Doctors stabilized her, but the words she most feared hearing finally came: she would never walk again. She wasnât ready to face it. Her life as she knew it had changed forever. The military, her only refuge, was also out of reach.
London became her next destination. The medical staff recommended that she be transferred to a civilian hospital where she could receive specialized treatment and subsequently begin the rehabilitation process. When Kay thought about where she could stay afterward, only one person came to mind: Leah.
Leah waited for Kay at Heathrow Airport, visibly worried. Even though she had received constant updates about her condition, seeing her in person would be an emotional challenge. When Kay appeared in the wheelchair, pushed by a hospital attendant, Leah felt her heart tighten in her chest.
Kay wore a stoic expression as if she was using all her strength to keep her emotions in check. Leah could see past that, though. Kayâs eyes, once full of life, now reflected exhaustion and pain.
âHi my love" Kay said quietly as she came to her side.
Leah leaned in to hug her, ignoring the fact that they were in the middle of a crowded airport. It was a long hug, one they both needed.
âWelcome home baby,â Leah said softly leaning against her and kiss her deeply.
Kay wanted to correct her, reminding her that London wasnât her home, but she couldnât find the words. Maybe, after all, Leah was the closest thing she had to a home.
Leahâs London flat was cozy but small, and the modifications needed to accommodate the wheelchair made the space feel even more cramped. Leah had worked tirelessly to get everything ready, installing ramps and rearranging furniture. Kay felt grateful, but also deeply uncomfortable.
âYou didnât have to do all this, Leâ Kay said as she scanned the space with difficulty.
Leah, who was making a cup of tea, turned to her with a calm smile. âOf course I did. I wasnât going to let you go through this alone.â
Kay nodded, but inside, guilt and frustration were growing. She wasnât used to depending on anyone, let alone someone as important to her as Leah.
The first few weeks were a mix of intense emotions. Kay tried to keep a routine, attending physical therapy sessions and learning to adjust to her new life. However, every little failureânot being able to reach something, needing help with simple tasksâfelt like a monumental defeat.
One night, while Leah was cooking, Kay decided it was time to talk about what had happened at the military hospital. It was a weight she had carried alone for far too long.
âLeah, can you sit down for a moment?â
Leah stopped what she was doing and sat across from Kay in the living room. The concern on her face was evident.
âWhatâs wrong, Kay?â
Kay took a deep breath, her hands shaking slightly. âThereâs something I need to tell you about what they did to me in the Navy before all the injuries happened.â
Leah nodded, her expression becoming more serious. âIâm listening.â
Kay began to speak, her voice shaky at first, but gaining strength as she went on. She told him about the treatments sheâd endured: the electroshocks they justified as âexperimental therapy,â the times theyâd left her alone for hours without help, and the ârehabâ sessions that often included pushing her physically to the limit.
âThere were days I thought⌠I wasnât going to get out of there. They yelled at me that I needed to be strong, that if I couldnât take it, I didnât deserve to be in the military.â
Leah clenched her fists as she listened, her face reflecting a mix of anger and sadness.
âHow could they do that to you?â she finally asked, her voice cracking.
âItâs the price of being weak in their world, Leah. They couldnât stand someone like me not being âusefulâ anymore.â
Leah leaned forward, taking Kayâs hands in hers. âListen to me, Kay. What they did was inhumane, and you have nothing to be ashamed of. You are one of the strongest people I know.â
The tears Kay had been holding back finally began to fall. Leah didnât say anything else, she held her, allowing her to release all the pain she had built up over the months.
Alessiaâs arrival at Arsenal added a new layer of tension to Kayâs life. Although both had avoided any confrontation, Alessiaâs passive-aggressive comments were quick to appear.
One afternoon, while Leah and Kay were at home, Alessia arrived unannounced. Leah had forgotten to lock her door, and Alessia walked in like she owned the place.
âSo this is where youâre hiding, Kay?â Alessia said, with a sarcastic smile as she looked around the apartment.
Leah, who was in the kitchen, quickly came out upon hearing Alessiaâs tone. âWhat are you doing here, Alessia?â
âI just wanted to see how my long-lost sister lived. It seems youâve been busy⌠or should I say âwell-keptâ?â
Kay, who was in the living room, turned to face Alessia. âWhat do you want, Alessia?â
âI want to understand how you went from being a ghost to⌠this.â She pointed at Leah with a nod.
Leah, clearly upset, stepped in. âAlessia, if you come here to cause trouble, you can leave.â
The exchange escalated, and Kay felt old wounds reopening. Alessia had always known how to touch her weak spots, and Leah was caught in the middle. Eventually, Leah had to ask Alessia to leave, leaving Kay emotionally drained.
Despite the conflicts, the relationship between Kay and Leah continued to grow stronger. The emotional connection they shared was evident, and small displays of affectionâa hand on the shoulder, an unexpected hugâbegan to evolve into something more.
One night, while watching a movie together, Leah leaned slightly toward Kay, resting her head on her shoulder. Kay, surprised at first, allowed the gesture and smiled.
It was a small moment of intimacy, but to Kay, it meant more than Leah could ever imagine.
Winter had come to the city, and with it, the streets of London were filled with Christmas lights and decorations. Kay, however, barely noticed the festivities. Her days were divided between physical therapy, medical adjustments, and increasingly intimate moments with Leah. However, the conflict with Alessia and the memories of the abuse at the military compound weighed on her like a constant shadow.
One morning, as Kay tried to adjust to the new exercise routine her physical therapist had recommended, Leah received an unexpected text from Alessia. She wanted to âtalk.â
âIs it a good idea to give her space after what happened here?â Kay asked from her spot in the living room, as Leah checked the message.
Leah sighed, leaving her phone on the table. âI think itâs not just you, Kay. Alessia⌠she has issues to work out with herself.â
Kay raised an eyebrow. âDonât justify what she does. Sheâs always found ways to make me feel like Iâm worthless.â Leah walked over and knelt in front of Kay, placing her hands over hers. âNo one has the right to make you feel that way. Not even Alessia.â
Kay wanted to believe her, but the years of emotional abuse she had endured were not easy to forget.
That afternoon, Leah went to Arsenal Stadium to meet Alessia after training. Alessia, who had been in a bad mood all day, was quick to spill the beans.
âWhat the hell are you doing with Kay?â Alessia asked bluntly as Leah closed the door to the meeting room.
Leah, trying to remain calm, replied, âIâm looking out for her. Something no one else is doing.â
âLooking out?â Alessia let out a sarcastic laugh. âSince when do you need to play savior?â
Leah frowned. âThis isnât a game, Alessia.â Kay has been through things that neither you nor I can imagine, and instead of supporting her, you--
âDonât lecture me!â Alessia interrupted, slamming her hands on the table. âKay has always been a burden. Every time I tried to stand out, she was there, ruining everything.â
Leah felt her patience wearing thin. âYou know what ruins everything, Alessia? Your inability to see her as anything more than a reflection of your insecurities.â
The silence that followed was deafening. Alessia hadnât expected such a direct response, and for a moment, she didnât know what to say.
âThis isnât over, Leah,â she finally said, before leaving the room.
That night, Leah returned to the apartment emotionally drained. Kay noticed her expression and decided it was time to share something she had been holding back.
âWhat happened?â Kay asked as Leah plopped down on the couch next to her.
âYour sister⌠doesnât understand anything,â Leah replied, massaging her temples.
Kay sighed and looked out the window. âItâs because sheâs never seen me as her sister, Leah. I was always âthe other Russo.â The one with no talent. The one who didnât fit in.â
Leah turned to her, surprised by the tone of vulnerability in her voice.
âYou want to know why I joined the Royal Navy?â Kay asked, her voice shaking slightly.
Leah nodded, knowing Kay needed to vent.
âI saw an ad online while I was looking for a job. It seemed like a way to escape everything⌠from Alessia, from my family, from myself. I wanted to prove that I could do something for myself, something that no one could take away from me.â
Kay paused, her hands shaking as she recalled those days.
âBut even then⌠it was never enough. And then⌠then came the hospital.â
Leah took her hand, giving it a gentle but firm squeeze. âYou donât have to tell me if youâre not ready.â
Kay shook her head. âI need to. Because if I donât, those things are going to keep haunting me.â
Then, Kay began to speak, detailing the horrors she had endured. She described the time when she had arrived at the hospital very badly injured thinking that what had happened was her fault, or that it was all karma for being fragile and not facing things, where she would rather a thousand times have her die than have a partner who had a family that loved him.
âThere was a doctor⌠I will never forget her face.â She told me I was a failure, that someone in a wheelchair was nothing anymore, that I was wasting valuable Navy resources that could be used on soldiers who would go back into combat, I⌠I canât take it anymore.â Kay paused, taking a deep breath.
Leah hugged her tightly, unable to hold back her tears. âGod, Kay⌠I canât imagine what youâve been through.â
âI donât want you to see me as a victim, Leah.â Kay rested her forehead on Leahâs shoulder. âI just want to be someone who deserves⌠something.â
âYou deserve everything, Kay. And Iâm here to remind you of that every day.â
Despite everything, Kay began to find small moments of peace in her life with Leah. They began to spend more time together, sharing stories and laughing despite the circumstances.
One night, as Leah read a book on the couch, Kay leaned into her, resting her head on her shoulder. Leah smiled and set the book aside, putting an arm around Kay.
âYou know?â âLeah said after a while. âI never thought I'd find someone I wanted to share so much with.
Kay looked up, surprised by the confession. âAnd me?
âYou're that person, Kay. My person, my forever.
For the first time in a long time, Kay felt like maybe, just maybe, she had a place in the world where she truly belonged.

Alessia Russo x Leah Williamson x Reader
- Cheeky Girl -
MasterList
Leah Williamson and Alessia Russo had always been the talk of the football world. As two of Englandâs brightest stars, their on-field chemistry was unmatched, and their off-field friendship was just as captivating. But what fans couldnât get enough of was the whirlwind romance the two had found themselves inânot with each other, as rumors once suggested, but with you, the bold, confident, and endlessly cheeky woman who had stolen both their hearts.
The world had been stunned when Leah and Lessi introduced you to the public. At first, some fans had scoffed, âSheâs not even a footballer.â But as the months passed, your effortless charisma, razor-sharp wit, and undeniable connection to the star duo made you a fan favorite. Well, mostly. Some fans were still jealous and couldnât seem to resist trying to sneak into your section at games, hoping to get a reaction out of you.
You, however, were unshakable.
Sitting in the VIP section for an Arsenal game, you noticed a few fans lurking nearby, their eyes full of envy as they whispered to each other, stealing glances at you. Instead of feeling irritated, you leaned back, smirking, and casually tugged your shirt collar down just enough to reveal the faint purple mark on your neckâa clear âIâm takenâ statement. You could practically hear their gasps from your seat.
As the game progressed, you made it a point to cheer wildly whenever Leah or Lessi did something amazing on the pitch. At halftime, the camera panned to you, and you didnât miss a beat. You blew a kiss to the screen, mouthing âgood luck, babyâ while holding up Leahâs jersey. Social media exploded.
After the game, the three of you reunited in the tunnel. Leah walked over first, her captainâs armband still snug on her bicep, grinning. âDid you have fun showing off, cheeky girl?â
âAlways,â you teased, slipping an arm around her waist. Lessi joined seconds later, slinging her arm around your shoulders.
âYou drive them wild,â Alessia laughed, tucking a strand of her blonde hair behind her ear.
âWell, I canât have anyone forgetting who you two belong to,â you replied, winking at them both. Leah shook her head fondly while Lessi leaned in, pressing a kiss to your temple.
The next day, the three of you made headlines againânot for anything on the pitch, but because of a TikTok you posted. You had filmed yourself perched on Alessiaâs lap, your arms loosely around her neck as Leah sat beside you, throwing the camera amused glances. You ended the clip by smirking directly into the lens and mouthing, âTheyâre mine.â Fans went wild, some calling you a menace, others begging for your confidence, and the rest simply acknowledging that Leah and Lessi were the luckiest women alive.
Leahâs response to the TikTok only added fuel to the fire. She reposted it on her Instagram story, adding the caption: âCanât argue with facts.â Alessia followed suit, writing, âWeâre obsessed.â
But as much as the three of you loved teasing the world, there were moments when things softened. One of those came during a surprise media day you orchestrated. Leah and Alessia thought they were there for an ordinary interview, but you had worked behind the scenes to organize an award for their contributions to both club and country.
As the interviewer handed over the plaques, you stepped out from behind the curtain, grinning ear to ear. âSurprise!â you exclaimed, holding up a bouquet of flowers for each of them.
Leah blinked, her jaw dropping. Alessia gasped, pulling you into a hug before looking at her award. âYou planned this?â
âOf course I did,â you said, leaning up to kiss her cheek. âYou two deserve it.â
The cameras captured every second of itâthe way Leah wrapped an arm around you, pulling you close, her usually calm and stoic demeanor melting into soft smiles; the way Alessia couldnât stop grinning, her eyes bright as she kept one hand on your waist. For all your cheekiness and confidence, in moments like this, you were their soft, thoughtful partner, and they loved you for it.
The video quickly went viral, with fans commenting on how loved-up the three of you were. âNo one could ever compete with R,â one fan wrote. âI feel so single,â another commented.
That evening, as you lay curled up between Leah and Alessia on the couch, you scrolled through the comments, laughing.
âPeople are so dramatic,â you said, showing Alessia a comment that read, âR is giving me Olga Carmona levels of âdonât mess with me.ââ
âSheâs not wrong,â Leah said, tightening her arm around your shoulders.
âThey should be jealous,â Alessia added, nuzzling her face into your neck. âYouâre ours, and weâre yours.â
âAnd donât you forget it,â you replied, smirking.
Leah laughed, leaning down to kiss your forehead. âNever.â
And as the three of you drifted into quiet conversation, it was clear to anyone watching that your love was the real victoryânot just for the three of you but for anyone lucky enough to witness it.

## reader x awfc !!

hi all!! finally releasing this, which is in honour of jonas finally pissing off away from our girls and our team! i hope you enjoy! love always, RGx
warnings: angsty team x management arguments, mentions of mental health!
3.6k words.
âiâm sure the team will be buzzing with joy this evening after tonightâs win, but how are the girls and yourself taking the recent and surprising departure of a lifelong gunner?â
âyeah, as you said weâre all pleased with the result tonight - it was a great match with a good side and i think the score reflects the determination we took onto the pitch with us.â you watch as beth pauses, like she is searching for words that will do her feelings justice. âshe was the best of us, not just the team but the best of us and our friends. i think she was and is destined for great things, but life and people unfortunately happened to get in the way. but iâm happy, weâre all, happy for her.â
you've known beth long enough to know when she is lying and it pains you to realise how the tone of her voice drops at the mention of you. it stings momentarily, but you shake it off and allow pride to take over you as the camera pans to the rest of the team taking their victory lap.
you find yourself smiling absentmindedly at your phone, having sat through the entire match with your eyes glued to your phone - watching your girls on the pitch from your home, instead of beside them for the first time in years. your stomach filled with a cocktail of emotions that you canât seem to process at this very moment. a toxic mixture of sadness and despair, twisted and twined with anger and hatred for what the situation had become.
its been two weeks since your statement went out, three since you made the decision and four since the argument. in an ideal world, it wouldnât have gone this way - you wouldâve stomached your feelings for longer and swallowed your bubbling anger, bit your tongue and carried on as usual. but for some reason, you just couldnât.
------
a 3-0 win should be celebrated. it should fill you with joy and overwhelming excitement - but it doesn't. instead, it fills you with nothing but anger and resentment for the club you once loved, you used to love. in place of congratulations and pats on the back, is a lecture. a plethora of critiques and corrections despite the effort and conviction everyone had shown.
you and the rest of the girls stand huddled in a group in the locker room, stood in an agonising silence. your hair is still wet, from the sickly british rain that decided to visit, your face still tinted red and your chest still heaving.
you tune out to jonas' voice, watching absentmindedly as he paces ahead of the group - volume above his usual decibel as he tears into the group, pushing further and further. you don't listen, allowing your mind to wander. no one dares talk back, instead choosing to take his words. you, however, fail to be as nonchalant as them - swallowing the bubble of anger in your throat and biting your tongue to the best of your ability.
your mind is brought back into the tiled room at the snap of your name from the front of the group. you look up to be met with jonas' eyes on you - his eyebrows raised and seemingly awaiting an answer. "what?" you mumble through gritted teeth, eyes locked on his.
"do you care to fill the rest of us in on what is so important besides my feedback right now?"
you shake your head, matched with a sarcastic looking, sickly-sweet smile and lift your hand top gesture towards him. "oh please, carry on."
"i dont appreciate your attitude," he quips back, screwing his facial features together, feining disgust.
"whatever," you scoff, rolling your eyes and peeling yourself away from the bodies beside you - now overly aware of their eyes on you.
"i'm out." pause. "i'm going to leave, and have a glass of wine and celebrate a fucking win." you turn away from them, too busy to take off your kit and instead scrunching your clothes and belongings into your kit bag. "which by the way, is what we should all be doing! instead of standing here taking shit because he didn't like how we were moving on the pitch!"
there was a shift from him, and a deep red tint crept up his neck as he shot daggers at you from across the tiles. âi do everything for this team! maybe once in a while, it would be nice for you to do the same if you think you know better! please, do tell us, what makes you think you have done anything of significance for this team? for arsenal!â
it changed, then. the small shred of sympathy you had, the small shred of guilt - gone. ripped from inside you and splattered across the walls of your home stadium locker room. the girls around you seemed shocked at his words, confused and unsure of what to expect next.
you paused. taking a deep breath and halting your shoving of clothes and shoes into your bag, and turning to face him directly through the sea of red and white kits in front of you.
âwhat do i do, for this team?â the question sounded almost broken, like you couldnât actually believe he was playing this card. you searched for the answer deep within yourself for a few seconds, allowing the hurt to build in your throat and fuel the fire burning deep behind your eyes and in the pit of your stomach. your eyes flicked over each of the faces now looking at you and a small smile teased at the corners of your lips as you looked at their concerned expressions.
after a few more moments of silence, you inhaled deeply and began. âiâve given my life, to this club. to this team. i put in the work, i trained day and night in the academy, until i was enough for the senior team. and when i made it here, i made a difference. i stepped up when kim was out, when leah was out. when laura first moved here, i took her in.â you paused, taking another shaky breath, cautious of the tears held back by nothing more than your water line. âi donât expect you to give a shit. but whilst you were too busy tearing this team down. katie for her aggression, kim for her captaining style, leah for her rehabilitation, viv for her performance, beth for her drive, lia for training hours and every other fucking player in this building. i was building them back up, i was trying to make this right.â
silence fell over the room, and you shook your head. âim done.â you all but whispered, slinging your bag over your shoulder and moving towards the large doors leading away from the locker room. âi canât do this anymore, this club is my home - and i will not watch you tear it down.â you shoved the door, a single teare slipping down your cheek the second you heard the door swing back on its latch and close again. you didn't stop to say goodbye to the familiar faces in the building, instead, with your head down and focused on the floor beneath you - you walked straight into the carpark, got into your car and drove home.
as you drove away, the weight of your decision settled in your chest. you couldn't believe it had come to this, that you had walked away from the team you had poured your heart and soul into. all the emotions you had been burying for weeks and weeks on end were now uncontrollable, tears streaming as you contemplated your actions but you knew you couldn't bear to stay in an environment where your efforts were belittled and unappreciated.
after a 40 minute drive, you found solace and refuge in the familiar walls of your apartment. the silence enveloped you as you sank onto the sofa, reaching for your phone. you hestitated in pulling it out of your bag, unsure of what may be waiting for you when you unlock it.
but still, you did, heaving a deep breath when your screen lit up with a message from beth. her words expressing concern and confusion about what had transpired in the locker room. as you read beth's message, a mix of emotions washed over you - relief that someone cared enough to reach out, but also a pang of guilt for leaving without saying a proper goodbye. to her, to any of the girls in the room. you quickly typed out a response, skipping over the details of your motives - instead opting for a light hearted message, apologising for your abrupt exit and apologising for not controlling your temper.
minutes turned into hours as you sat there, staring at your phone, the weight of your actions heavy on your shoulders. you hadnât moved, still sat in your jacket and kit, boots still tied to your feet. the sound of a familiar notification pinged through the room - like it had been doing on repeat since that first message from beth, and you saw more messages popping up from your now ex-teammates.
------
1 week later - 3 weeks ago.
the days blurred into a week as you settled into a routine without the training sessions, team meetings, and the constant thoughts of upcoming matches that used to consume your time. you found freedom in the quiet moments alone, the weight of expectation now lifted off your shoulders, a sense of liberation starting to bloom within you. you finally felt like a person, not just a player.
you had been speaking to the girls everyday, each of them keeping you up to date on life behind the scenes of the club. the drama and tension seemed to have escalated in your absence, with rumors swirling about disputes between jonas and some of the other players. your decision to leave had sent shockwaves through the team, but it also seemed to have sparked a newfound sense of unity among everyone.
it was a miserable london evening when you got your first unexpected visit, darkness just creeping across the clouds when a knock at the door interrupted your law and order binge.
to your surprise, standing on your doorstep was leah, with a hesitant smile on her face.
a flood of questions and uncertainties raced through your mind as you stood frozen in the doorway, unsure of what to say or how to react to her unexpected visit.
"hey," leah began, her voice soft yet laced with underlying tension. "uh, can I come in?"
you hesitated for a moment, the inner turmoil evident on your face as you considered whether to welcome her inside. finally, you stepped back, wordlessly opening the door wider to allow her entry. leah entered cautiously, taking in the familiar surroundings of your apartment with a mix of nostalgia and apprehension.
there was a palpable tension in the air as you both stood in the living room, the silence stretching between you like a taut wire. you shared the quiet for a second or two before leah spoke up, her words carefully measured. "i know things have been rough lately... for all of us, you especially, i wanted to come here and talk, clear the air maybe?â
you studied her face, searching for any hint of insincerity, but all you found was genuine concern etched in the furrow of her brow. with a sigh, you nodded, gesturing towards the couch for her to sit. as she settled on the edge of the cushion, you perched on the arm beside her, like you used to.
"i just... i wanted to say that i'm sorry. sorry for not speaking up before, for not standing by you when things blew up. i let my own fears and doubts cloud my judgment, and i should have been there for you, we all should have been there for you."
her words hung heavy in the air, mingling with the unspoken tension that had plagued your relationship for months. you could sense the sincerity in her voice, the raw vulnerability that she rarely showed to anyone.
âi appreciate it, but it wasnât your fight, le.â
âyour fights are our fights, youâre one of us, you always have been. you always will beâ
you gave her a half smile in response, and moved closer to her on the sofa - opening your arms to her. she mirrored your smile, allowing your arms to wrap around her and hers around you.
after a few moments, you pulled away, looking at her directly. âthank you, for coming round. and for looking after me for all these years. but i think,â you paused, sniffling and turning your attention to the fabric of the sofa below you. âi think its time,â
she nodded along with you, taking a deep breath before smiling at you. âif thatâs what you want to do, then do it, and we will support you. i promise.â
âi donât know how to tell the girls, i havenât seen any of them since i left. i donât want them to find out through social media,â you rambled.
âweâre all meeting at mine tomorrow, why dont you come along? i know they want to see you, and i think you deserve a night to relax with us - gunner style.â you share a laugh at her comment, agreeing to see the girls. a small shred of anxiety tore through the depths of your stomach, but you shook it off; determined to do the right thing.
the next day seemed to fly by, seeming to disappear from you as you spent the hours doing odd jobs - attempting to distract yourself from the uneasiness gnawing at your insides.
now, you find yourself outside leahâs flat. she said 7, but you underestimated the traffic at this time in this part of the city - so youâre late, as per usual, and composing of yourself on the door step. after a deep breath, you raise your hand to knock.
once, twice, then the door flies open. a smiley young aussie waiting to greet you, her arms immediately around you and pulling you tight to her frame. âjesus, i missed you,â she whispers into your shoulder. âi missed you too, k.â you pull apart and she grabs your hand, pulling you from the now closed door and into the living area. itâs littered with everyone you know and love.
they greet you like nothing has changed, arms wrapped around you and whispers, comments and remarks of support. you slip into the group like you never left.
after youâve eaten, and have returned to the living area, you stand up - allowing everyoneâs eyes to fall on you. you take a deep breath, smiling at them then looking down at your thumbs. you twiddle them and enterlock your hands as you search for the best way to say it.
âi wanted you to hear it from me, that next week, a statement will be released. a statement explaining my temporary contract termination from arsenal. i love you all, like my family. i donât want any of you to feel like any of this is your fault, but i just feel like iâm at a different point in my life right now - a point where my views, and the clubs managmentâs views no longer align. i canât jeopardise my mental health, for people who canât seem to put me, or my friends, first.â
you say it in one, your mouth and words moving faster than your brain can comprehend. you finish with a shallow breath, looking up to the group. they take it well, a few of them shedding tears at the offical loss of their friend and teammate, others hugging you and sharing comforting smiles. you know it needs to happen, but this is the part that kills you. leaving behind your family, your people.
the night draws to an end and you begin saying your goodbyes, promising to keep in touch and arranging plans to meet up soon. as you start making your way out of the room and towards the door, kim pulls you aside. you canât read her expression, a sickening mixture of sadness and happiness for you.
âiâll miss you,â she says softly, reaching out to squeeze your hand. âbut I know youâre doing whatâs best for you. just donât be a stranger, okay?â
you nod, feeling a lump form in your throat as you hug her tightly one last time before heading out the door.
------
1 week later - 2 weeks ago.
3pm. your phone dings with a notification from the arsenal womanâs football club instagram and app, giving you and thousands of others the news of a new and important post. you hover your finger over the notification, hestitating.
you open it eventually, propping your phone up as the video loads onto the screen. you cringe at the sight of you, expectant of whats to come.
âhi gooners, itâs so nice to sit down and speak to you. this year marks my 15th year at arsenal, if weâre taking it all the way back to my first academy scouting when i was 8. i have nothing my fondness and admiration for this club, these people and this community. to be apart of this team and to watch the growth of womanâs football has been an honour and a pleasure i will forever be grateful for. when i think back on my years here, i have nothing but happy memories. memories of friends, of wins and of losses, of meeting fans and selling out stadiums. some of these things we never believed would be possible, but you, every last one of you, have made it possible. after 15 years of my life dedicated to the game, i think itâs time to take a break. temporarily and indefinitely, i will be taking a step back from the club. thank you all for your unwaivering support, it means the world to me. this is a special club, which remains my home. but my health and wellbeing needs to be my number one priority. thank you.â
you watch as the video comes to an end, and the messages, comments and likes begin. you switch off your phone after a few minutes, tucking it under a cushion on your sofa and resuming your show - tuning out the constant buzzing.
------
present day.
you watch until the live recording of the match ends, you watch all of the post-match interviews, with nothing other than a smile on your face. when the stream finally does end, you feel like you can breathe again, switching to your messages app and drafting a text into the groupchat to congratulate the girls on their win. you press send, then abandon your phone beside you somewhere on the sofa. paying it no mind and you lean back into the comfort of the cushions and pillows surrounding you.
as you sink deeper into the softness, you let out a content sigh, feeling a sense of peace wash over you. you close your eyes and let the sounds of the television fade into the background, relishing in the quiet of your own thoughts.
you dozed off, allowing the safety of sleep to engulf you for a few hours. you lay peacefully until the doorbell rings, jolting you awake. you groan in annoyance, wondering who could possibly be bothering you at this hour. you reach for your phone as you stand, 9pm. reluctantly, you shuffle away from the sofa and make your way to the door, rubbing the sleep from your eyes.
as you swing open the door, you are met with a pair of familiar faces that brings an instant smile to your lips. beth and viv, stand on your doorstep with a mischievous glint in her eyes.
"surprise!" beth exclaims, holding up a bottle of wine and a bunch of flowers. "we come bearing gifts. can we come in?"
you step aside, allowing them to enter, still slightly taken aback by their unexpected visit. they both breeze past the threshold, only stopping for a moment to give you a hug before making themselves at home on your sofa.
âi didnât know you were back in london, viv!â you exclaim, watching her set the flowers on the counter. âand shouldnât you be out celebrating?â you ask beth with a laugh, shutting the door and joining them on the sofa.
âthereâs no where we would rather be, mijn liefje.â
its the later end of midnight when you all start to tire, spread across the sofa and floor with eyes barely open and focusing on the movie playing.
âdo you guys want to just stay here tonight? i donât wanât you driving home tired.â you say through a yawn, stretching your back out and turning to look at the both of them cuddled up beside you. both of their eyes closed and chests rising peacefully. you smile to yourself, moving to grab a blanket from the basket beside you and cover them both up. you switch off the tv, turn off the big light and make your way to your bedroom.
it isnât long before youâre asleep too.
------
the next morning you wake to a persistant buzzing sound, your phone rattling on your bedside table. notifications from twitter and instagram flood your lockscreen, along with messages from the arsenal groupchat and from distant friends.
your eyes are just barely open when you reach for it, giving your eyes a moment to adjust before looking at the screen. you swing yourself off the bed, feet finding the cold of the floor as you pad through the flat until you find beth and viv.
theyâre awake, both sharing the same expression as they look at you in the doorway between the two rooms.
you begin to read from your phone. âwe can confirm that jonas eidevall has resigned from his position as head coach of our womenâs first team and leaves us with immediate effect.â

is it over now? | k.c.c.
kyra cooney-cross x williamson!reader | 1.8k | kyra knows you're leah's sister, but it's been a few days since and all your messages, calls and voicemails are left unanswered
ËË°â˘*â part of the daylight universe. you can go read the first part 'daylight' before reading this :) currently five more main parts planned out as well
âKyra please. Please just let me explain. Please pick up or call me back,â Another unanswered phone call. Another voicemail left while you paced around your apartment. It had been a few days since that match and Kyra hadnât returned any of your calls or any of your messages. Youâd restrained yourself from going to her apartment, trying to give her some space understanding sheâd be upset.
If you were in Kyraâs position youâd also be upset and reacting the same way. But you just wanted to explain and hopefully Kyra could understand where youâre coming from and things can go back to how they were. You didnât want to lose Kyra. Work the past few days hadnât felt the same without your favourite person walking through the doors.Â
You probably looked semi crazy, your head shooting up or turning around so fast whenever you heard the little bell above the front door ring. Hoping that Kyra would be the one walking through. Though every single time youâd let out a disappointed sigh and do your best to throw on the friendliest smile you could muster and greet the customer, who wasnât Kyra, whoâd just walked into your shop.
Itâs not like there was anyone you could reach out to either to see if Kyra was alright. You couldnât ask your sister, sheâd definitely question why you were asking about someone youâd only met âonce in passingâ. You really couldnât ask any of the other girls either for the same reason, since you and Kyra had kept your meetings to yourselves, enjoying the bit of privacy you had to explore each other in private.
You stopped in your tracks when you heard a knock on your apartment door, âOh,â Your shoulders deflated and the hope on your face faltered slightly when you opened your door revealing your sister on the other side.
âOh? Were you expecting someone else?â Leah feigned offence at your reaction and slipped past you making herself at home in your apartment.
âI wasnât expecting anyone?â Raising your eyebrow at Leah you reluctantly shut the door. Part of you was hoping that Leah would disappear and Kyra would suddenly appear.
âWhat do you mean? We made these plans ages ago, finally getting you to come out with the girls again,â Leah looked at you sceptically, in a way where you felt like she could see right through you, âYouâve been acting strange lately. Am I too cool for you?â Leah smirked as you shook your head.
âYou? Too cool? I think you need to read the definition of cool because you are not it,â You gently nudged your sister laughing along with her. It had been a while since you properly hung out with Leah or the other girls. But right now you couldnât think of anything worse, âCan we just stay in tonight Le, please? Iâm not feeling the best today,â It wasnât a complete lie, not being able to contact Kyra had left your stomach in knots and your sleep schedule was a complete mess making your head hurt on and off throughout the days.
âFine, but you owe me and the girls a night out soon,â Leah slung her arm around you, pulling you close. It was the perfect night with your sister, you really needed that distraction. You really needed any distraction that stopped you from burning holes in your flooring from pacing around your apartment.
Though your distraction only lasted a night and part way through the next day you were back where you were before Leah showed up at your apartment. There was a constant weight in your stomach, which wasnât eased when you noticed all your messages had been left on read and your calls went straight to voicemail.
âAlessia, thank you,â The need to talk to someone about the situation led you to messaging Alessia quite late at night when you were going through another almost sleepless night, which you apologised for when you realised. Alessia, although given how close she was with Kyra and Leah and considering she played with them both, felt like the safest option you had in terms of someone you could talk to.
âLeah did not mention how you look like you havenât slept in weeks when she was talking about how nice it was to actually spend time with you again the other night,â You could see concern on Alessiaâs face. You got on quite well with Alessia since the first time Leah introduced you to her, âWhatâs going on?â
âSo,â You started while you brought your hands up to your face, still pacing around the room while Alessia sat there watching you, âYou cannot tell Leah, or anyone, but especially Leah,â You knew it was unfair of you to put Alessia in this situation knowing what you were about to put on her but you just needed a friend that would hopefully listen and try to understand, âI was kind of seeing Kyra,â
âWait, Kyra? As in our Kyra?â The surprise written across Alessiaâs face wasnât all that unusual considering the circumstances. All you did was nod while your stomach did flips thinking about Kyra, slight unease overtaking the usual fuzziness youâd normally feel when thinking about her, knowing all of this couldâve been avoidable.
âWell Kyra didnât know Iâm Leahâs sister either,â Drawing out your response you noticed Alessiaâs slight hesitation before speaking, trying to process the mess you were revealing to her.
âI take it that Kyra knows now?â You groaned sitting down next to Alessia, head in your hands.
âAnd now sheâs not answering my calls or texts and I donât know what to do,â If it wasnât for Alessia already knowing you were the same age as her, the way you looked up at her with the biggest pout on your face, she wouldâve thought you were a lot younger. Like someone who was experiencing their first big relationship, first misunderstanding.Â
The way you looked so defeated and it hadnât been that long since the match, she could tell you really cared about Kyra. If anyone could see you they would be able to see it, theyâd be able to tell that what you and Kyra had, despite never talking about labelling it, that it was much more than just a casual thing.Â
âLook, I havenât known Kyra all that long either but if she cares about you the same way you seem to care about her then I think youâll be fine. Itâs probably a lot to process and sheâs not someone whoâll just go about pretending you donât exist anymore. Sheâll come back,â Trying to let Alessiaâs words sink in to give you that comforting reassurance, you laid your head on her shoulder mumbling out your appreciation that she was here listening to you spiral, âNow tell me everything, how did you guys even meet without any of us knowing?â
Letting someone know about you and Kyra was partly relieving and partly added a layer of worries. Worries about Leah or anyone else finding out in a way you werenât ready for. But for now that was at the back of your mind, something youâd deal with later on.Â
âWell now I know why you look so familiar,â Dropping your keys out of surprise at hearing the one voice you had been longing to hear for the entire week. You definitely didnât think that youâd come home to find Kyra standing outside your apartment, âReally I donât know why I didnât pick it sooner. Your resemblance to Leah is uncanny,â
Kyra tried to keep the air light between you. But even now while you were both sitting in your apartment you felt like the air was suffocating you. Having Kyra back here as all you wanted, but not knowing where this talk might lead had you stressing. All the worst case scenarios were running through your mind, taking up all the space you could barely think about what you were going to say to Kyra.
âHey,â Over the months, Kyra has come to really know you. To the point she could almost read you like an open book. She had always been able to tell what you needed without you even needing to tell her, âI still really like you, you know,â Kyra gave you a small reassuring smile while placing her hand on top of yours, giving it a slight squeeze, âI just want to understand,â
You gave a small nod and took a deep breath trying to collect yourself, Kyraâs hand never left yours, âI didnât mean to not tell you. But it also felt nice having someone who got to know me for me and not getting to know me just because Iâm Leahâs sister. Also I was a little scared that if you knew Leah was my sister then it would scare you away. As much as I love Le, sheâs scared away quite a few people before,â
âWhat? Leah scaring people away? Couldnât see that happening at all,â Kyraâs voice dripping with sarcasm while you started relaxing a little, the corner of your lips starting to turn upwards, âAll she does is smile,âÂ
âYouâre so annoying,â You playfully nudged Kyra, shaking your head, while you both laughed out loudly.
âYeah but you still like me,â Kyra smiled more, wrapping her arm around you, pulling you into her side, âAnd I do like you, very much. Big scary Leah isnât going to keep me away from you either,â Kyra leaned down slightly, placing a soft kiss to the top of your head.
âAre you sure? I did like lie and I understand if you donât want anything to do with me,â If you were looking at Kyra you wouldâve seen the look of disbelief she pulled at you. Her expression wouldâve been enough alone to convince you that you were being silly, as if she didnât just semi-express her feelings towards you.
âTechnically, you didnât lie. You just didnât say it,â Kyra leaned back further into the couch, pulling you half on top of her, while rubbing your side gently, âAnd did you not listen when I told you that I like you,â Kyra placed a hand on your cheek, gently moving your head so you were looking at her, âAssuming there isnât anything else youâre keeping from me, but anyway since I really like you, itâs a risk iâm willing to take since I donât intend on letting you go anytime soon,â
You smiled, closing the gap between you both. Your lips connecting with hers, making up for the past week where you missed her touch, missed her being around, missed being close to her. The kiss also said a million words, expressing all the feelings for each other that neither of you could properly say, âSo you forgive me?â Mumbling against her lips, your forehead resting against hers slightly.
Kyra smirked, a cheeky grin quickly replacing it, âI could be convinced,â

Not sure if youâre taking requests but Iâm a sad and anxious American who could use a bit of happiness rn. Thank you in advance but also no worries if this doesnât spark anything.
Just a little fluffy something with Leah or Alessia at home, âthereâs no way these are veganâ after surprising them with homemade brownies
special brownies II l.williamson, a.russo
"less you can't eat brownies, we have a match tomorrow." leah reminded sternly as you carded your fingers through the moody strikers hair, her head resting in your lap as she groaned loudly at your other girlfriends words.
"yeah leah a match i have to play on my period! at least let me eat some sort of warm chocolate if i can't curl into a ball and die." alessia mumbled miserably, rolling over and pushing her face into your hoodie covered stomach.
"don't!" you mouthed at the older girl who scoffed and was clearly ready to say something that absolutely would not help the situation. "i'll make you brownies for after the game tomorrow baby, i promise." you assured alessia, rubbing her back gently as she huffed, clearly not happy but somewhat accepting of the offer.
"with ice cream?" "with ice cream." "that vanilla bean ice cream in the blue container?" "yes lessi, i will make sure to buy that exact ice cream just for you."
"you're going to bake brownies from scratch?" leah snickered, lifting your shared girlfriends legs and settling herself onto the sofa, alessia digging her heels into leahs thigh mumbling about a foot massage, making the defender roll her eyes but oblige none the less.
"yes i am. are you going to try and tell me i can't? little miss 'childrens menu'." you narrowed your eyes skeptically, feeling alessia chuckle lightly before leah squeezed her foot too hard and her head popped up to shoot her a glare.
"well babe i think we all remember the last time you tried to bake. i, at least, can admit that i am not a good cook. which is why i'm dating one and a half of them!" leah grinned, quickly assuring the grumpy striker that she was the one and you were the half.
"half!" you protested, a little pinch to your thigh meaning you resumed scratching alessia's back where you'd paused momentarily, glaring daggers at the other girl a few cushions down.
"you do your best baby, and your best is good. but maybe you could just buy some brownies? that little cafe leah loves does them with the chocolate chips, we can grab a coffee and then heat them up later after the game." alessia mumbled into your chest, patting your thigh in an attempt to show support.
"do you both really think i'm that incapable of making brownies?" you asked in disbelief, the silence in response practically deafening. "wow! well the truth comes out." you scoffed in offense, both blondes heads snapping toward you as you attempted to wiggle out from alessias grip.
"no come on love don't be like that! baking just isn't for everyone. same as football isn't for everyone or maths isn't for everyone, its fine!" alessia held on tightly, tugging you back down and shuffling her body to lay on you more as you crossed your arms.
"everyone has their own special skill set baby girl, yours just doesn't include baking. more like...burning? hey i bet if we were ever stranded on a desert island you'd be able to get a fire going!" leah was clearly trying to be on the same supportive track as your other girlfriend but failing miserably as even alessia cringed at the attempt.
"no baby she didn't mean that don't-" but this time you managed to pull yourself free and roll out from beneath alessia, shooting up to your feet and taking turns glaring at the two blondes still laid up on the sofa.
"tomorrow i will not be coming to your game. i am going to spend the afternoon here baking and you will both come home to the best fucking brownies you've ever tasted-no actually the best vegan brownies you've ever tasted because i am that confident that i can do it. even without dairy!" you announced, stomping off to go sulk by yourself and look up some recipes.
"wait but babe you're still going to get regular ice cream right? not vegan ice cream? right? babe!"
~
you'd been so confident, you really had, which had made the fall from grace and back into reality a difficult one.
the reality that your girlfriends doubts weren't so far fetched and you might not actually be capable of baking, all the more prickly an acceptance to swallow.
which is what had lead to this disgustingly sneaky switch, the evidence of your previous three attempts scattered strategically around the kitchen for your lovers to see, and the evidence of the store bought brownies you'd rushed out to buy instead well hidden at the very bottom of the trash bins.
you'd just taken them out of the microwave to warm them up, very carefully stacking them up on a plate when you heard alessia's car in the driveway, leah playing passenger princess today.
they'd done their best this morning to grovel and sweet talk and try their very hardest to change your mind about coming to the game but you were stubborn by nature and once it was made up there wasn't much to be done to change it.
so they'd trudged off to the match like kicked puppies and you'd spent your afternoon burning chocolate and yelling at the oven trying to shift the blame before inevitably accepting your fate.
however you'd made such a fuss and a point both last night and this morning about your abilities that you may have accepted your fate, but you had no intent on letting your girlfriends do the same, the art of deception hopefully saving you the further embarrassment of eating your words with an audience.
"you did it!" alessias eyes lit up as she entered the kitchen first, hair damp and scraped up into a bun. "congratulations on the hat trick baby." you smiled, pecking her lips a few times before her loving gaze dropped down to the sweet treats on the counter.
"i think she plays better on her period." leah mused as she wandered in, the younger blonde shooting her a dirty look in response as leah kissed her cheek apologetically and wrapped you in a hug.
"you're so much prettier when you don't talk." you teased, squeezing her face in your hand with a wink as leah pulled a face and blew a raspberry on your cheek.
"less!" you laughed, turning around a few seconds later and already finding the striker with a mouthful of brownie, crumbs down the front of her hoodie and a blissed out look on her face.
"what? i was promised these!" she defended still with a mouthful of food making you wince and push her lightly. "yes you were babe and you more than earned them." you chuckled, leah reaching around you to take one for herself.
"babe there's no way these are vegan!" the milton keynes local scoffed after a mere sniff causing your eyes to roll as she took a cautious bite. "are too." you gestured your arms around to the plethora of substitutes piled around the kitchen as leah hummed skeptically.
"just tell her she did a good job, shut up, and stuff your face with chocolate leah." alessia defended, hugging you from behind as you smiled gratefully and kissed her jaw, pushing away from her as she shoved the other half of the baked good into her mouth and sent crumbs showering down on you.
"well i need a quick shower but ice creams in the freezer-" you kissed alessia's cheek since her lips were preoccupied making out with a brownie.
"-whipped creams in the fridge." you pecked leahs lips knowingly. "oi!" the defender grabbed at you as your hand collected with her ass with a wink, escaping to the bathroom for a shower and leaving them to their brownies.
which may have been a mistake.
when you returned it was to a welcomingly quiet living room, both of your blondes laid on the lounge watching a film, which judging by the bored look on leahs face and the concentrated one on alessia's, the film had been the strikers choice.
offering them both a cup of tea which was met with a resoundingly quick yes from each you disapeared to the kitchen, not hearing leah get up to follow you much to alessia's grumpy protests at being left alone.
"you know babe i noticed something very interesting about your brownies." leah hummed causing you to jump a little not having thought anyone was with you, flicking the kettle on to boil and raising an eyebrow at her questioningly.
"well you know i love a good jigsaw, yeah?" leah questioned, grabbing the plate of brownies which was remarkably untouched given alessia's desire to inhale the lot of them just moments before you ducked off for a shower.
"but with a jigsaw, all the pieces...have to match up." leah nodded down as your eyes dropped, leah having lined up the brownies which sure enough weren't even close to matching up together the way they would if you'd baked them in the tray you'd claimed to.
"well thats because-" "oh no no my girl, i wasn't asking." leah interrupted with a shake of her head and a finger pressed to your lips. "i know you didn't bake those, and they sure as shit aren't vegan." leah smirked knowingly, pulling your body closer into hers as she leaned down, lips ghosting your own as right as you tried to kiss her she pulled away, smirk growing wider as her hands slipped up your hoodie.
"the only question i want the answer to is, how are you going to make it up to us for lying baby?"

MOMENT OF GRACE | alessia russo x child!reader x leah williamson
one for those many requests iâve hadâşď¸

grumpy masterlist
leah was sat in an armchair, her legs draped comfortably over the empty chair next to her as she could feel the warmth of the afternoon sun through the window. letting herself to just breathe for a few minutes from the whole chaos and tiredness that came with media days.
it had been a hectic few hours for everyone, alessia swamped with media commitments and the whirlwind that was professional football as leah was just happy after to finishing her schedule for the day to have a few quiet moments with you.
you were sprawled in her lap, chattering away like there was no tomorrow as your little fingers tugged gently at the rings leah wore on her hands.
you always been fascinated by leah's jewellery as just like your mummy she wore a lot, and you were especially intrigued in the silver band on leah's right hand and the gold ring that fit perfectly on her middle finger.
"is this one yours, mama?" you asked, your wide eyes sparkling as you picked at the band leah had on her left hand. the word coming out so naturally and so effortlessly that leah froze for a split second as her heart skipped a beat.
"mama?" leah whispered, unsure if she'd heard right.
you, completely unaware of the effect your words were having on leah, as you babbled on about the different rings you could see, "this one's gold, like sunshine! and this one had a pretty colour in it. mama what's this one?"
you were pointing to the next ring, completely focused on it and not at all aware of how your little words had skaken leah to the core â in the best possible way of course.
leah's breath caught in her chest, a strange mixture of joy and overwhelming emotion rising up. as she tried to hold it together but the warmth in her chest made it difficult. it was like a secret part of her heart had been unlocked and now she was struggling to keep her composure.
"that one is.. just, was a gift from your mummy for my birthday." leah managed to say, blinking rapidly to push away the tears threatening to spill over.
"look.. it has an A, a L and the first letter of your name" leah pointed to each little small engraving in the inside of the ring as you looked on with wide eyes.
leah taking a deep breath as she tried to steady herself as you giggled. your fingers running over the rings as if it was the most normal thing in the world.
"mama," you said again, as if it were just another word in your vocabulary.
leah's heart shattered in the best possible way as you continued to babble on as you looked over shiny jewellery. leah could feel the tears welling up as she was struggling to hold it together.
looking down at you, your small innocent face and unaware of the emotional whirlwind you'd just triggered. leah swallowed thickly, fighting back the big cheesy grin that was threatening to break through.
"thank you my angel" leah whispered, her voice barely audible to you as she leaned her cheek against your soft hair. â later that evening, as alessia had finally tucked you up into bed. leah lay on the sofa waiting for the blonde to return so they could watch their series together cuddled up together.
alessia finding the blonde sprawled across the sofa, scrolling through her phone, the glow of the screen reflecting in her soft and tired eyes. leah looking up when alessia entered.
"hey, you okay?" alessia asked her voice tender, as she'd noticed the blonde chirpier behaviour since returning home as well as the flush in her cheeks and the glimmer of unshed tears in her eyes.
leah tried to nod, but her voice trembled as she said, "she.. she called me 'mama' today."
alessia froze for a moment, her expression melting into one of surprise and pure affection. "she did?" she whispered, moving to sit down beside the blonde. taking leah's sprawled out legs and placing them on her lap as she laced her hand with leah's.
"oh le, of course she did. she loves you so much."
leah's breath hitched as the weight of the moment poured out, "i wasn't ready for it," she admitted, her words came out as a whisper. "i- she usually just calls me lele or even something silly but when she said 'mama' i.. i just.." her voice faltered and the tears spilled.
alessia took her other hand as she reached over to brush away a tear with her thumb, "she's always seen you as a parent figure, you know. i see it every time she looks at you."
leah shook her head, laughing through her tears, "let me have my moment less. it's just- this is everything i've ever wanted. a family to love and be apart of.
alessia's teasing grin softened into something more serious as she pressed a gentle kiss to leah's temple, "you are her family, babe. you always have been. your everything to her and to me."
leah looked up, her heart overflowing. "you have no idea how my heart sounded when i heard her say it. it was like... all at once everything just made sense. like i finally belonged in a way i didn't even know i was waiting for."
alessia stroked leah's cheek, her eyes shimmering with her own emotions. "you've belonged in this family from the very first day le. lovie knows it. i know it. and i'm so glad you're finally letting yourself believe it too."
leah's lips quirked into a tearful smile, but before she could say anything. alessia hesitated, her voice dropping to a quieter and more intimate tone. "there's something i've been meaning to tell you, actually."
leah's brows knitted together, curiosity and a touch of worry flickering across her face, "what is it?" she asked softly.
alessia shifted nervously but smiled, a little shy as she spoke, "a couple weeks ago, it was just me and lovie driving to training and out of nowhere, lovie asked me if.. if it would be okay for her to call you 'mama'"
leah's breath caught in her throat, her eyes widening at the confession. "she.. she really asked that?" she whispered, her voice almost breaking.
alessia nodded, her smile growing as she remembered. "she said she want to but she wasn't sure if it was okay. i told her it was more than okay - that it was perfect but she could do it when she felt it was the right time and i guess today she decided it was to let you know how she feels."
leah's hand flew to her mouth as fresh tears spilled over, her whole body trembling with the weight of alessia's words. "she's been thinking about this?" she choked out as she whispered an 'oh god' under her breath, her sobs starting to overtake her. "i'm so happy, less. i can't even-"
alessia pulled her in again, holding her tightly as she let it all out, "i know, love. i know. she loves you so much le. and i love you too. we're so lucky to have you."
leah lung to her, her voice breaking. "i never though.. i never thought i'd get this. i didn't even realise how much i wanted it until it happened"
alessia kissed her forehead, a smile playing at her lips. "you deserve this. you deserve everything, my love"
leah sniffled, finally pulling back enough to look up at alessia with now red-rimmed eyes and a wobbly smile. "i love you" she whispered. "i love her. this- this is my everything"
alessia beamed her heart full as she cupped leah's face, "and you're ours, always."
for a moment they lay in each others arms, letting the love between them fill the empty space. as leah leaned her head against alessia's her heart swelling with happiness. she whispered, "i've never been more sure of anything. this is exactly where i'm supposed to be."

More than a pretty face II Alessia Russo x Williamson!Reader
romantic masterlist | platonic masterlist | word count: 1630
summary: Leah is the third wheel whenever sheâs with your girlfriend Alessia and you. While the striker struggles with her body image.
author's note: hi everyone, we combined the request with an idea we had in the back of our mind and we hope you'll like the mix of lightheartedness and heavier topics. đ¤â¤ď¸
Post-training dinners were one of your favourite team traditions. Every few weeks, after a long, hard session, the entire Arsenal squad would go out for a meal. You loved the combination of good food and conversations with your friends. It was something that you were looking forward to every time.
Too preoccupied with arguing with your sister, you completely forgot about the pasta before you. At least until you heard Kyra giggle on the other side of the table.
âLessi, are you kidding?â, she laughed.
You watched Alessia frown at her: âWhy?â
âThereâs only green on your plate.â, Kyra grimaced in disgust, pointing at your girlfriendâs salad.
âYeah, I wanted a salad.â
You studied her plate from across the table. No toppings, no dressing, just plain salad.
Leah involved herself in their conversation: âNothing wrong with that. Kyra, you could need some greens too.â
Kyra wrinkled her nose again: âEw.â
Alessia shrugged, smiling: âSheâs not wrong.â
It was a polite smile that didnât reach her eyes.
âYes, she is. Thatâs not what you need after a long training session.â, Kyra complained jokingly.
You bit your lip and watched as your girlfriend discussed different food choices with your teammates.
With nervous fingers, you tapped Beths arm and whispered: âBeth?â
The midfielder turned to you: âHm?â
âI feel like Lessi⌠I think the comments about her appearance got to her.â, you carefully formulated the worry that had begun to appear in your chest. Suddenly, your stomach was in knots, you werenât hungry anymore.
âYou think so?â, Beth asked in surprise.
âI do⌠Look.â
She followed your gaze towards Alessia.
âThe salad?â
You nodded cautiously: âYes. Do you think Iâm paranoid?â
Alessia had struggled before with her body image, you knew that. So, every sign of changes in her eating pattern sent a subtle wave of panic through your body.
Beth sighed: âI think if you really want to know, you should talk to her.â
You forced a smile: âUgh, why are you always right?â
âSorry.â
âAlways, right? What did you two chat about?â, Leah asked innocently.
Beth shrugged and deliberately lied to your sister: âFootball stuff.â
âYes, things you wouldnât understand, Lee.â, you joked, teasing her.
Leah rolled her eyes at you as she so often did: âOh yeah, because I obviously donât play football.â
âYou do but no that up front.â, you explained.
âStill.â
âWill you drive with us to this team activity thing next week?â
âNah, I donât want to be the third wheel again between you two lovers.â, Leah quickly shook her head.
Beth snorted: âYou donât mind that any other time either.â
âAnd it's not our fault that your girlfriend is Americanâ, you added in a teasing tone, which earned you a playful slap from your sister.
Her lips formed to a pout:â Doesnât take away from the fact that I donât want to hang out with you two. Iâm driving with Lia and Kim.â
âOh, wow.â, you whistled, pretended to be offended by her decision.
This didnât stop the defender from mockingly continuing: âBesides, youâre a horrible driver.â
âThanks, Lee.â, you rolled your eyes at her.
It was the night of your team activity, usually it involved dinner and games, and you were leaning against the open door of your bedroom to check on your girlfriend:â Youâre ready, Lessi? We should be leaving soon?â
âNo, I hate my outfit.â, she groaned in frustration, still laying on the bed.
When you noticed the dried tears on her cheeks, your heart broke a little. In the late afternoon light, the blonde looked gorgeous, and you wished she could see herself as you saw her, the striker was even sadly breathtaking.
You gently took Alessia's hands, in which she had hidden her face: âLess, you look beautiful.â
âI donât.â, the forward replied with a trembling voice.
âAlessia?â
âYes?â, your girlfriend glanced up at you.
Softly, you asked her:â Would you like to change into something more comfortable?â
âCan I wear your sweater?â, a small smile appeared on the blondeâs lips.
In one quick swipe you pulled off your oversized pullover to hand it to her: âYou.. yes, you can have it.â
Alessia pressed the garment gratefully to her chest and explained:â Itâs just the comfiest thing.â
In a sincere tone, you whispered into her ear: âYou also look very cute in it.â
For a second, she beamed at your words before her grin disappeared as quickly as it had come, leaving only a gloomy expression on her face. âDo you think the comments are wrong or right?â, the striker questioned.
âI knew it was about the comments.â, you mumbled.
âAnd oh god, maybe Iâm a bad role model if I sometimes donât feel confident in my own body.â, your girlfriend panicked.
Soothingly you began to stroke her back: âLessi, calm down.â
âSorry.â
You cupped her face tenderly in your hands, hoping that your sentences reached her:â Listen, itâs normal not to feel confident all the time. No one does. Youâre not doing anything wrong and youâre not a bad role model.â
âBut you and your sister look so perfect.â, Alessia protested weakly.
âThatâs not true, Less. Weâre not perfect, no one is.â
She smiled sheepishly: âAt least youâre perfect to me.â
Apparently, your words began to have an effect, because the striker added cheekily: âAside from the fact that you snore at night, it's not exactly Sleeping Beauty-like.â
âShut up!â, you playfully hit her arm with the pillow.
Alessia giggled. The sound was like music to your ears.
A little smirk appeared on her face: âMake me.â
You were only too willing to bridge the gap between the two of you and put your lips on hers until your girlfriend was too out of breath to keep talking.
But before you could make a move, Alessia interrupted herself after checking the time on her phone: âActually, wait for it until after team bonding.â
You heaved a frustrated sigh but still slipped into your jacket: âFine. Ready to go?â
âIâm ready.â
You both left your apartment but before you got into Alessias car, you took her hand and held her back: âLess?â
Alessia turned towards you: âHuh?â
âYouâre beautiful and youâre a great athlete, okay? It doesnât matter what other people think.â, you assured her one last time.
She nodded thoughtfully: âOkay.â
âOkay, now letâs go, pretty girl.â, you smiled at her.
You got into the passenger seat of her car while Alessia drove.
âI hope they got Pizza on the menu so we can share.â, your girlfriend said suddenly.
You laughed, surprised by her comment: âOh no. You always say that and then youâll complain that the pizza in Italy is better.â
âItâs true! Nothing beats Pizza in Italy.â
âSee?â, you rolled your eyes with a laugh.
âOkay, fine. I still want to share Pizza with you.â
âMe too.â, you grinned. Your heart skipped a beat, seeing how excited Alessia seemed to be.
You arrived at the location five minutes late and you would have gotten away with it if it wasnât for your sister.
âHi, you two are fashionably late.â, she greeted you with a wink.
You shrugged and lied to her: âMy fault. We had to make out in the car first.â
Leah grimaced: âDisgusting.â
âOh, someoneâs a gremlin again.â, Alessia teased.
Your sister pouted and turned to Lia: âWally, theyâre impossible.â
âYou love them.â, the Swiss player replied matter-of-factly.
âSadly, I do but donât tell them.â
âI would never. But Iâm sure they know, you love to hang out of them.â, Lia laughed.
âEven when I feel left out sometimes because look at them.â, Leah complained, pointing at where you and Alessia were studying the menu.
Lia grinned: âTheyâre a couple and youâre surprised about that?â
âElle and I are not that bad.â
You looked up and glared at your sister: âYes, you are.â
âShut up.â, Leah retorted.
You shook your head: âNo. The pizzas arrived, my friends.â
Alessias eyes lit up as a server placed the plate in front of her: âFinally.â
The good food, lively conversations with your teammates and your girlfriendâs genuine smile warmed your heart and soul.
Once the dinner was over Leah gave you a short hug:â Drive home safely.â
âYouâre not driving with us?â, you asked astonished.
The defender paused for a moment, pretending to think carefully about the question, before answering with a grin on her lips:â Actually, yes, Iâll come with you, but only if Alessia drives.â
Gallantly, Alessia opened the passenger doors and bowed slightly to you both:â Get inside my passenger princesses.â
âExcuse me. Iâm the passenger princess, she can sit in the backseat.â, you promptly protested.
âUgh, fine.â, Leah grimaced as the blonde sat down right behind you.
With a sweet smile, you turned your head towards your sister:â Sorry, big sis.â
âYouâre not really sorry.â, the older woman observed her arms crossed in front of her chest.
Your giggles filled the car:âNo.â
Amused, Alessia shook her head and turned up the volume on the radio. Once her car stopped in front of the defenderâs house, she said:â Good night, Leah.â
âNight, girls.â, the blonde waved goodbye and skipped buoyantly to her front door.
On the way to your home, your girlfriend began nervously.â Amore, I thought about what you said earlier.â
âAnd?â
âYou were right.â, Alessia conceded.
The car stopped at the red light, the rain pattering on the roof, as you hugged her from the side with relief and gave her a kiss on the cheek: âYouâre so much more than a pretty face, Lessi, please never forget that.â
âAnd so are you.â, she replied in an earnest tone, pressing her lips gently to your hand.
Then Alessia continued the drive through the night, the lights of London guiding you both to your home.
