My Antivan Crow, Alessia, loves to draw and sketch, and is an amateur painter. She loves to sketch the places she visits, the people she meets, and the people she kills. Her sketchbook is practically a travel journal and is carefully encoded to appear as such.

She has a sketch of Emil the Viper doing a lip blep. She will be sketching all of the Veilguard as well, including Assan and Manfred.

For Madeleina Mercar I think the group would be surprised to learn she was initially going to follow in her birth father’s footsteps to become a bard, before her mage powers manifested. She prides herself on having a good ear for music and being able to pick up tunes quickly. She also has a small notebook filled with whatever tales she can remember learning from her father as well, and is happy to talk anyone’s ear off who’s willing to listen.

I’d like to imagine one day in Solas’ meditation room she finds a lute or a fiddle and starts playing again to bring some cheer to the Lighthouse.

To Write Love on His Arm - by ScribbleScrabbles; Alistair/Trevelyan fic. Absolutely incredible. Based on the premise that Alistair and Trevelyan have been communicating through marks on their arms since he was 14. So good it made me cry. My comfort fic I reread endlessly.

Murder of Crows - by @nightingaletrash, About Alessia De Riva, a bastard of King Fulgeno and her life in the Crows under Viago's tutelage. Really hooked me on the first chapter and her story seems so interesting. Excited to read more!

First Light - by absoluteTomFoolery. Probably the best Gale x Tav story I've ever read. Tav has such a unique backstory that blends in SO well with Gale's it's actually insane. God-tier level writing and plot development. This is THE Gale/Tav fic must read for anyone who loves that ship

writing goals for 2025: Ahhhh hmmm... I would say maybe improve the quality of my writing in general. I always feel like it sounds repetitive/stilted. Maybe plot out my stories/fics a bit more so I don't get stuck and write myself into a corner? Write more in general?

shoutout to @calcium-draws who suggested the possibility of an antivan masquerade ball. anyways mine and @geekywriterco 's rooks -- alessia and juliet. alessia is with lucanis, juliet with emmrich. in our little pocket dimension, juliet goes by bishop because chess pieces or something.

Think maybe my Crow Rook had been a childhood friend of Illario who had previously only met Lucanis in passing. (Illario and Rook are not close now.) After she had her son, though, she did get a really nice, thoughtful gift on behalf of House Dellamorte that she initially assumed was from Illario or Caterina but was actually Lucanis’ pick. She realizes because he asks her about it soon after meeting him. Random details of the months before his capture are something he clings to in an attempt to ground himself during his torment in the underwater prison.
