CASSIAN COULD ONLY AGREE WITH HER. he didn't want to get into any more then he already had. talking about it didn't really help. only made it more annoying knowing most people like to not take part in doing anything different. "honestly, i've been pretty alright all things considered." he shrugged but his tone held the truth he spoke. "guess i'm just tired as well. but nothing to complain about personally. so i guess that's a win."

Alec let out a soft chuckle at Cassian’s animated gestures, her hand brushing over Felicity's curls as the little one played with her necklace. Cass’s energy was infectious, but his words hit close to home. “You’re not wrong,” she admitted, meeting his gaze with a faint smile. “We can’t keep relying on the Blackthornes or anyone else to clean up this mess. I’ve been thinking the same thing… that maybe it’s time for a more united effort.” She paused, her tone softening as she shifted Felicity in her lap. “But to answer your question, I’m… okay. Tired, if I’m being honest. These past few days have been a lot. How about you? Holding up alright?”

"Look at Felicity! She's so cute in her little dress. I think she likes weddings," Natalie suggested, taking a few pictures of the little girl enjoying herself. "Wait until she gets to try the cake. She might get a little hyper then."

Mariza watched Felicity and little Ariadne play together, getting on like a house on fire despite the age gap, "They're so sweet together," she said as she stood next to Alec at the side of the dancefloor, "It's so nice to see children make friends at this age. It's so easy."

The late afternoon sun streamed through the tall windows of Remember, Remember, casting a warm glow over the store’s eclectic collection of antiques. Salem stood at the counter, meticulously cataloging a shipment of vintage jewelry that had come in that morning. He glanced up when he heard Alectrona's heels clicking against the floor, the sound familiar and oddly grounding. After a moment, Salem cleared his throat. “I was thinking,” he began, his tone careful but curious, “about holding onto the past... Don't you ever think about how much of this,” he gestured lightly to the shop around them, “is tied to the past? Does it ever feel like you’re carrying too much of it?” He questioned, hoping she would understand where he was coming from with his sentiment. ( @alectronathegoddess )

Just know that if you need anything, I've got you," she offered. "I mean, I'm not great at most things, but if you need food or just someone to vent to about the attack, you know I'm here."

Kinsey took a heavy seat across the table from Alec, sighing heavily. “I’m beat, this is my first day off in a week. I’m pretty sure I smell like the club still. I apologize right now for that.”

Kinsey took a deep breath after their most recent spar, catching her breath. “Remind me again why we’re doing this? Is this about my black eye awhile ago?”

“She is just the cutest little lady ever in that outfit.” Ben spoke with tenderness to his voice as he watched the pair together. “I hope you know I’ve probably bought one for every day of this calendar month.”

Alec waddled out of the bathroom. Peeing is something she did more than just about anything these days. It’s because the baby’s head was lying low on her pelvis. He or she is about to their appearance to the world one of these upcoming days. Alec was nervous to say the least but welcomed the little one’s presence with her entire heart. A few steps into the kitchen, she felt a gush of water run down her legs and she was soon standing in a puddle. “Oh?” was all she could get out before panic started to settle in. “Oh,” she said again. Alec picked up her phone and dialed the first number that came to her mind. “Ben?” she asked when he answered the phone. “Hi, uh, I’m going to need a ride to the hospital. The baby is coming.” @despairtheabyss

No amount of getting ready could really prepare anyone for getting that phonecall. Ben had known it would come at some point but when it did, the male felt a rush of different emotions running through him. He’d never really seen himself as someone who would have a baby yet, he didn’t feel ready and yet now he really didn’t have much choice. No one could accuse him of taking his time with the speed at which he had arrived at the others home, one might even accuse him of magic but really it was just a wonder the cops hadn’t pulled him over as he beeped his horn to signal his arrival before getting out of the car to greet the woman.

After dancing with his girlfriend for an hour, Jonathan and Alec stood at the edge of the town hall, enjoying a quiet moment together. Jon had made an impulsive decision right before Christmas. A ring box had been lingering in his pocket since Christmas Eve, after he had spent the day with Alec and their daughter. He was overthinking it. It definitely wasn't the right time... right? He kissed her temple and leaned his cheek against the top of her head as he held her close, "I don't think I've ever been happier to celebrate a new year," he admitted quietly for only her to hear.

When the doctors finally found Jon and told them Alec was ready to go, he left their daughter with his elder sister to get food while he went to her. Before everything had happened, they had been talking about the next steps for their relationship - something about the previous atmosphere bringing it out of them, he supposed - but they had been interrupted. It felt like they were in high school, discussing labels and then he had almost kissed her before he hesitated. Jonathan did not hesitate when he saw her. He did not want to be interrupted by another attack or a doctor or anything else, "Alec," he said with a relieved sigh, reaching her and pulling her in with a hand on the back of her neck. He closed the gap between them, kissing her like he should have done a long time ago.

Jonathan was happy to be invited to the wedding with Alec. He had thought their last date went well so he was hopeful that there was another. One of the great things about Northknot was that even at a wedding where you only kind of knew the bride and groom, you were always likely to know someone else. Jon mingled with some friends from work and school as he waited for Alec to return from getting drinks. He spotted her and smiled. It was immediately obvious that he had stopped paying attention to his friend, who promptly said goodbye and he walked over to her, "Have I mentioned that you look stunning tonight?" he asked, smiling as he took his drink. He had mentioned it, a few times, but he couldn't help himself.

@alectronathegoddess Natalie hadn't seen her god-daughter in so long. Would the little girl even remember her? Would Alectrona even want her to still be Felicity's godmother after all of this? Her behavior didn't exactly scream 'responsible adult'. Still, it was important to face these things. She knocked on the door to their home, arms crossed over her chest.

Elsa could make out very little as she lay there on the hood of her car. She could hear her name, and sirens in the distance. There was a moment of adrenaline that rushed through her as her eyes fluttered open. She was in pain, but for a bit it just felt like she was numb. It was the shock, no doubt. "A-Alec?" she asked, placing a name to the voice she'd heard speaking.

Jon straightened out some wrinkles in his shirt, looking himself in the mirror. With Felicity with a babysitter tonight, he and Alec could go to the gallary event without any worry - or without too much worry anyway. After he checked his outfit one last time, he got in his car and drove to Alec's house. He wanted to see their daughter before they went but also felt it was gentlemanly to go and pick her up for their date. He was early so he sat in his car for about two minutes, giving himself a pep talk before he finally walked up the door and knocked.
