Vaping After Hair Transplant: What You Need to Know
Tumblr media
So, you’ve had a hair transplant and you’re wondering about vaping after the procedure. Let us explain it in a simple way for you to understand. After new hair comes in, your body needs time to heal. Like smoking, vaping puts bad stuff into your body that makes it harder for your body to heal. Learn how vaping after hair transplant affects healing and hair growth.
Why You Should Avoid Vaping After Hair Transplant
Reduced Oxygen Levels: It is important not to use a vaping device after a hair transplant as it can damage your new hair growth. Vaping can make it harder for your body to get the oxygen it needs to heal your hair after a transplant.
Decreased Blood Flow: When you use vape with nicotine, it can narrow your blood vessels making it harder for blood to flow through them. This can prevent your hair from getting the nutrients it needs and your body can take longer to heal.
Increased Risk of Infection: Smoking or vaping can make it easier for you to get sick, which can make it harder for your hair transplant to work well.
What You Can Do Instead.
Quit Vaping
It is important to completely stop using vaping (and smoking) after a hair transplant. Using e-cigarettes can make it harder for your body to heal and slow down the healing process, which is really important for your hair transplant to work well. If you quit using vaping, you will not only be healthier overall, but you will also have a better chance of having a successful hair transplant.
Decide to take care of yourself and say goodbye to e-cigarettes forever. Your hair and body will be really happy in future.
Follow Post-Op Instructions
Listen to what your surgeon tells you to do after your hair transplant surgery. Doing what they say will help make your hair transplant the best it can be. It is really important to follow these instructions carefully so that you heal properly and the surgery works well.
Not listening to the instructions can cause problems and the surgery may not work. Your surgeon gives you these instructions to help you get the results you want. If you have any questions or concerns about the instructions, ask your surgeon for help. It is really important to do what they say so that your hair transplant is successful.
Healthy Lifestyle
A healthy lifestyle means taking care of your body by eating good food, exercising and drinking enough water. Good foods include fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins. Exercise can be things like walking, swimming or yoga. Drinking water helps your body function better. When you take care of your body and mind, you can help your body heal and stay happy and healthy.
Remember, your hair transplant results are an investment in yourself. So, give your body the best chance to recover and thrive by avoiding vaping and taking care of your health. Your new hair will thank you for it!
Stay healthy, stay informed, and rock that new hair with confidence!

“So your profile said you’re a teacher?” Emeline was tired of answering this question to guy after guy, boring date after boring date. She was sitting in front of Luke, a California transplant that she had an ok conversation with on the app and over text. She had hoped that he would be better in person.
He wasn’t.
“Yep,” she responds, nodding as she takes a sip of the drink in front of her, the non-alcoholic one that Luke cringed at while he ordered a cocktail.
“What grade do you teach?”
“Mostly sophomores, then juniors and seniors in my AP.”
“I bet the boys love you,” Luke smirks, Emeline already feeling like she was going to leave the date early.
“I mean, I don’t think any of my kids have a problem with me or anything.”
“I would have paid attention in school if I had a teacher that looked like you.”
Emeline bites the inside of her cheek, pursing her lips and nodding at him. “Gross,” is the only thing she could think of saying.
The worst part, that was the best conversation they had. Luke spent the rest of the date talking about himself, no longer asking anything about herself while she just nodded and said, “oh, nice,” or, “cool,” or some other unenthusiastic variation of that.
Emeline gets home to find her roommates watching a movie on the couch, one of the nights where the guys are on the west coast playing late night games that they end up missing instead of watching their friends. Emeline groans as she flops down next to Maddy, covering her face with her hands while Fran pauses the movie.
“That bad again?”
“I got the, ‘I’d have listened in school if you were my teacher,’ line for the third time,” Emeline says, the girls groaning in disgust. “How many times do you think we have to go through this before I actually find someone decent?”
“I mean, you do have a decent man right next door.”
“I can’t,” she says. “He doesn’t want that.”
“Oh for Christ’s sake,” Johnny groans, throwing his head back against the couch. “I can’t fucking do this anymore.”
“Johnny,” Maddy starts, Emeline seeing a look of panic cross her roommates face.
“No, Mads, I can’t. Emeline, Jeremy has been in love with you since the moment he saw you. I had heard nothing for months about any topic other than ‘the most beautiful girl with red hair that might live in the building.’ Then he realized not only does this girl live in our building, but she’s right next door. You’re right next door and you three become our friends, and honestly, you, Emeline, get closer to Jeremy than you are with your actual best friends, and he gets closer to you than he is with anyone on the team, while everyone around you watched you while you were falling in love with him, and he was falling deeper in love with you. He has not stopped loving you. You have not stopped loving him. Neither of you will be anything other than in love with each other and so help me, God, I need you two to fucking do something or I’m going to launch myself into the Charles.”
The girls stare at him, dumbfounded by this outburst.
“You’re staring at me like that because you know I’m right,” Johnny shrugs, pulling out his phone and scrolling through one of his social media apps.
“Jeremy still loves me?” Emeline asks out loud, to no one in particular.
“You are not that stupid that you would think he wouldn’t.”
“It would be better if you could be helpful.”
“I think I’m plenty helpful.”
___________________________
Ben had texted again, asking to see her. Why she said yes, she wasn’t sure. He said he wanted to take her to some sort of restaurant, the same one she went to with Luke, where she definitely had gotten some sort of mild food poisoning from the dinner she barely ate to begin with. She didn’t want to go.
“Is it too late to cancel?” she groans, flopping on the couch next to Maddy, not caring that it would probably wrinkle her outfit, something that Ben had commented on last time. The bar was literally in hell, and men still couldn’t clear it.
“What time is he supposed to be picking you up?” Maddy asks, not looking up from her phone. She was probably texting Johnny, Emeline remembering something about the rest of them having plans to go out tonight.
Emeline reaches for her own phone, three texts from Ben showing up on her screen and making her feel nauseous. “He was supposed to be here in five minutes, but I guess he’s waiting downstairs now.”
Emeline starts to get up from the couch, Maddy resting her hand on her arm. “You have five minutes before you’re supposed to meet him. If he doesn’t like that, then too bad.”
“I shouldn’t be this nervous for a date, should I?”
“It’s probably not a great sign since you look like you’re going to vomit.”
Emeline groans again, another text from Ben coming through. All four of them that he had sent since she last opened her phone were asking where she was and if he should come up to meet her, asking what her apartment number was. “I don’t want him knowing which place is ours,” she says, having to force herself off the couch to head downstairs to meet this guy.
She gets into the elevator, a feeling of dread and anxiety washing over her as it goes down to the ground floor. The doors open, Ben standing in the lobby of the building, looking slightly annoyed as he frowned at his phone. “Hey,” she lets out, her voice shaking with a fake smile plastered onto her face.
“You took a while.”
The smile faded, Emeline trying to hide the disgust that she felt. “Well, you said to be ready by six, and here I am, at 5:58.”
Ben shrugs, turning and heading out the door without saying another word. If only he could stay like that the rest of the date, it might actually be tolerable to be with him.
Before they can reach the door, Fran comes rushing in, tears streaming down her face.
“Babe, what’s wrong?” Emeline stops, Ben groaning at the hold up despite her glaring at him.
“I got fucking fired.”
Emeline gasps, taken aback that Fran’s father would ever even think about firing his top performing employee, his golden child, from the job that was going to help her take over the company when he finally decided to retire. “What?”
“Can you please come upstairs? I really don’t want to be alone right now.”
“Um, Maddy’s there,” Emeline says, “You want me, too?”
“Please?”
She couldn’t say no to Fran. “I’m sorry,” she says to Ben, rushing towards the elevator she just came down, leaving Ben standing at the door while he called out something stupid about dinner reservations. She didn’t care if he ever texted her again, honestly.
“Ok, so what’s the game plan?” Emeline asks as the elevator doors close, looking over to Fran who has her phone in front of her face, open to her camera. “You’re not crying anymore.”
“It’s windy. You know my eyes water like I’m sobbing when it’s windy.”
“I hate you.”
“You really think I’d get fired?”
“If you did, you have a great career as an actress ahead of you,” Emeline laughed.
“You seem weirdly ok for someone who just bailed on a date,” Fran points out, pulling her back towards their apartment.
Emeline thought about it. She should be mad that she spent too much time getting ready for a date she wasn’t even going on now, checking her phone to see Ben already breaking it off with her for bailing, feeling no remorse about the situation. “I think I’ll be ok,” she tells Fran, showing her the texts.
“After the first date, I’m surprised you even said yes to a second one.”
“I’m surprised you managed to get her back up here,” Maddy says when they get back to the apartment, Johnny sitting on the couch with her, his arm around her.
“Don’t you have your own apartment?” Fran asks Johnny.”
“I’m not Keelan,” he reminds her.
“She told me she was fired,” Emeline says.
“And you believed that?”
“Johnny,” Maddy scolds. “So, now that you’re not going out with Ben, that means you can come out with us.”
“Trent should be here any minute.”
“Great, so I can fifth wheel your double date?” Emeline laughs, Maddy and Johnny smirking.
“Hold on,” Fran says. “Trent and I are not dating.”
“But he does like you,” Emeline points out.
“Look at me. Plenty of men do.”
“He’s going to ask you out eventually,” Johnny tells her, a look of panic on Fran’s face.
Fran scoffs. “We have to fix Emeline before we even come up with fake scenarios for me.”
“I’m not broken.”
“But you and Jeremy aren’t together.”
Emeline rolls her eyes. “I still don’t want to be a fifth person with no one to sit across from at a table while these two are either looking at each other stupidly in love or actively engaging in PDA and Trent is drooling over you.”
“We could invite Jeremy. He’s genuinely just sitting in the apartment right now doing nothing.”
“What if he has plans?”
“Yeah, of course,” Johnny starts, pulling out his phone. “The guy whose teammates are either married, engaged, in serious relationships, or cannot legally drink has plans on a Saturday night when his family is in fucking Alaska and he can’t go on a date with a girl if his life depended on it definitely has plans.”
“You and Fran really are the same person,” Emeline says, both of them yelling at her for her comment.
Before anyone can say anything else, Jeremy walks into the apartment, slightly disheveled as if he had just woken up from a nap. “You changed my text tone to the same sound as my alarm?”
Johnny shrugs, getting up off the couch and pulling Maddy with him. “It’s the only way you’d pay attention to me since you’re barely checking your phone any more. Anyway, we’re going out to dinner tonight and we’re just waiting on Trent. Want to change and join us?”
“Um, I,” Jeremy starts, looking at everyone in the room except for Emeline.
“Perfect, go change, I’ll help you pick out a shirt,” Johnny says, pulling Jeremy out the door.
___________________________
“Ok, you need to calm down,” Jeremy says, shaking Johnny off him after he physically pushed him from the girls’ apartment into Jeremy’s bedroom. “What’s going on?”
“You and Emeline are going to finally start dating tonight,” Johnny says, rummaging through Jeremy’s drawers.
“You’re making a mess,” he says, pushing his roommate out of the way and trying to put his shirts back the way he had them. “And what are you talking about?”
Johnny pulls out a shirt and throws it at Jeremy, closing the drawers and plopping himself down on the bed. “You and Emeline have to get over whatever weird thing is going on between you two because it’s becoming fucking insufferable for the rest of us. Emeline keeps going on horrible dates with awful guys because she’s convinced you don’t care about her, Fran will not even consider the fact that she and Trent would have a lot of fun together because she’s so worried about you and Emeline never getting together, and Maddy and I have been sleeping together way less lately because Maddy can’t get over the fact that you are not dating her roommate when, as she puts it, you two are soulmates.”
Jeremy stares at him, pulling the shirt he was wearing over his head and throwing it into his hamper. “You just want us to make up so you can start having sex again.”
“No,” Johnny protests as Jeremy puts on the new shirt, surprised that Johnny would have picked it out. “I’m doing this because my woman needs to have needs met and her worries to stop and I cannot help her right now because of you.”
“How chivalrous.”
“Whatever the reason,” he says, starting to run his hands through Jeremy’s hair in an attempt to help combat the bedhead, despite Jeremy swatting his hands away, “You and Em need to get back to normal so the entire group doesn’t feel awkward. It’s weird for everyone that you two can’t be around each other anymore.”
Jeremy sighs. “I doubt we’ll get together tonight, but I’ll try to talk to her.”
“Thank god,” Johnny says, dragging him back to the girls’ apartment, where Trent was already waiting outside the door. “You alright there, bud?”
“I didn’t think you guys were in there and I didn’t want to be alone with the girls.”
“Why?”
“Fran,” the three of them say together, Jeremy and Johnny trying to hold back a laugh while Trent looks terrified.
“You could just ask her out, you know.”
“What if she says, ‘no?’”
“What if she says, ‘yes?’” Johnny counters, opening the door to the apartment to let the girls know they were ready to go.
What if she says, yes? For some reason, Jeremy hung on to those words. Johnny was annoyingly smarter than he seemed, and Jeremy knew that somehow what he said to Trent was meant for him, too.
He takes in a deep breath, walking back into the girls’ apartment to find the three of them running around and attempting to pregame with what appeared to be very little alcohol, Emeline trying to get Fran and Maddy to drink water.
“Are we going to dinner or to a bar?”
Emeline stops and stares at Johnny, Jeremy recognizing the look on her face that told him she was trying to remember something she knew was gone in the depths of her mind. “Ladies, when was the last time we ate?”
“I had breakfast before I left for work this morning,” Fran said, immediately going back to chugging the wine she had open in front of her.
“I think I ate lunch,” Maddy stops, opening the fridge.
“I think I ate dinner last night.”
“How the fuck do the three of you survive?” Johnny groans.
“We’re all twenty six, we had to have done something right,” Fran shrugs, putting the bottle in the sink to wash later. “I say we go to a bar that serves food and kill two birds with one stone.”
Trent looks up from his phone. “We’re killing birds?”
“I need better friends,” Johnny says, grabbing his phone and taking Maddy’s hand. “I know where we’re going, come on, idiots.”
“That’s bold when the three of us have six degrees between us and the three of you have three brain cells total,” Fran says, rolling her eyes and falling in step with Trent as the six of them head down to the lobby of their building.
“Especially when Jeremy normally has all three of them,” Maddy chimes in, the group of them laughing as Johnny’s cheeks turn bright red at his girlfriend's words.
Johnny leads the group to the T, taking them on the red line towards who knows where. Emeline sits down in an empty row, another seat next to her. Jeremy stands awkwardly, holding the railing above him.
“You can sit down, you know,” Emeline tells him, clearly looking as nervous as he felt.
“Thanks.” He takes the seat, trying hard not to make direct eye contact with her as his leg started to shake uncontrollably next to her. “Um, how,” Jeremy starts, staring down at his lap. “How have you been?”
He sees Emeline nod out of the corner of his eye. “Good. School’s good.”
“Good.”
“You?”
“Huh?”
“How have you been?”
“Oh. Good, too.”
“That’s good.”
God, he wanted to throw himself into a river. Whatever bacteria the Charles had festering in it had to be better than whatever this feeling was. Talking to this girl next to him used to be so easy. He shouldn’t have to fight internally to find the words to talk to Emeline when he was this in love with her.
They spent the rest of the ride in silence, Jeremy getting more uncomfortable by the second being near her. He missed her. At this point, he didn’t care if he ever dated her, he just wanted the Emeline who had become his best friend back.
Johnny calls for them to get off the train as it pulls to a stop, Jeremy practically sprinting off the train and grabbing Trent away from Fran. “I think I need to go home.”
“Why?”
“I can’t be around Emeline.”
“Why?” The two of them fall behind the rest of the group, Johnny leading them to a bar they frequent way too often for their own good.
“I don’t know how to talk to her anymore. Whatever Johnny thinks is going to happen between us is never going to happen.”
“What do you mean you can’t talk to her? You just open your mouth and words come out, Jere.”
Jeremy stands there, staring at his teammate. “You did pass some classes when you were at Wisconsin, didn’t you?”
Trent shakes his head. “I mean, it shouldn’t be hard for you to talk to her. You two love each other. You’re just in a weird place and you need something to break the tension so you can go back to normal.”
“Normal was me in love with her and her dating Keelan.” The rest of the group goes into the bar, not bothering to wait for the two of them as they continue to talk to each other outside.
“You know, I don’t know Emeline that well, especially not as well as you do, but I can see why you two love each other. I see the look on her face when she talks about you, that light in her eyes when you get brought up that just fades when she realizes that you two aren’t together and that you two are in this weird place right now. It’s the same look you get when Fran or Maddy mention Emeline. You look like you’re bursting with love one second, then like you’re about to crumble the next.”
“So what do I do about that?” Jeremy asks, looking back and forth between the bar and Trent.
Trent shrugs. “You might just have to fight it out. Get whatever ew things you’re feeling out in the open.”
Jeremy laughs. “You had me there until, ‘ew things.’”
“Shut up, you know what I mean. Get everything out so you can get together and the rest of us can finally relax.”
Jeremy lets out a deep breath. “Let’s head inside.” The two of them go in, finding Fran, Maddy and Johnny standing at the bar waiting for drinks.
“We ordered you guys your drinks, too,” Maddy tells them before they can ask.
“Where’s Em?”
Fran shrugs. “She said she was going to try to find a table for us, probably somewhere in the back.”
“Thanks,” he says, rushing off to find her as soon as possible, despite his friends calling for him, clearly confused by the sudden change in his demeanor. He wouldn’t even know where to start telling them what had changed in his mind in the short time between talking to Trent and now; it barely made sense to him. All he knew was that he had to find Emeline. He had to figure this shit out with her now before he was sure he was going to lose her forever.
The bar was more crowded than he had anticipated for it being seven pm. He was pushing through people far too drunk for their own good, feeling like the room was closing in on him as every additional person bumped into him.
It didn’t matter. He had to find Emeline.
He finally breaks through the crowd of people, his heart dropping when he sees her.
She was at a table big enough for all of them, a guy sitting right next to her who looked surprisingly like Keelan. He stood frozen as he watched her smile at him, throw her head back and laugh as he leaned back and put his arm on the back of the booth they shared. She leans back, snuggling into his arm, his hand running up and down on her arm.
He couldn’t be with her. Not when she was with someone else. He thought he finally had his chance, and he was already too late.
Someone drops their glass behind him, everyone around them drunkenly screaming. Emeline finally looks away from the mystery man who was leaning in already, the color draining from her face when she makes eye contact with Jeremy.
He couldn’t watch this. He turns to leave, pushing past Trent, Johnny, Maddy, and Fran on their way back with drinks, calling his name.
It had started raining, a sudden downpour that none of them would be ready for if they left the bar anytime soon. It didn’t matter to him. He barely felt it.
How could he be so dumb? She had barely spoken to him in months. They had no idea how to be around each other any more. Why would he think that he even still had a chance with her? Why would she want to be with him when she was practically avoiding him whenever she got the chance? Yes, they had those few moments where it felt like everything could be finally falling into place for them, but they were few for a reason.
“Jeremy, wait,” he hears Emeline call out, the sound of her running after him as her feet hit the pavement, splashing in the puddles that were quickly forming on the sidewalk.
“Why?”
“Where are you going?”
“Nowhere,” he snaps, Emeline flinching. “Home.”
“Jeremy.”
“I’m fine. You’re doing your thing with whoever you want, and I’m just-”
“You’re what?” she asks after he trails off.
“Alone.”
Emeline looks at him, confused, her voice getting soft. “What are you talking about? You have all of us. You have your family, your teammates.”
“What does any of that matter when I’m losing my mind watching the girl I told I love a couple of months ago flirt with other guys and not even think about me when I’m trying everything to try to figure out how you could have told me you wanted me and then changed your mind so fast. Do you think that it’s easy to stop loving someone like you? Do you think I want to sit here feeling like this? Do you have any idea what it’s like to have someone take up every free thought you have when you know they don’t think about you at all?”
“You think that I don’t think about you? You’re all I can fucking think about.” Jeremy involuntarily lets out a scoff, Emeline’s face turning bright red, tears forming in her eyes. He looks away, knowing that he would break if he saw her starting to cry because of him. “You asshole, this is so easy for you to stand here like this is a one way thing, that you like me more than I like you or something.”
It starts to thunder, Jeremy praying that lightning doesn’t follow, Emeline’s makeup just starting to run down her face, her mascara smudging as the rain draws it down her cheeks. He looks up at the sky, knowing that it was better than looking at her. Trent was right, though. “God, Emeline, do you think this is easy? Do you think I like this? We should be in there having fun with our friends instead we’re out here on the sidewalk in the middle of a fucking screaming match. I don’t want to be here if it means I have to watch you hit on someone else.”
“What am I supposed to do? So what if I hit on guys I have no interest in? The guy I want to be with, the guy standing right in front of me, looked me in the eyes back in December  and told me that he and I shouldn’t be together because he didn’t want to be a rebound. Well, guess what? These guys are my rebound. These guys are lining up to be the guy you didn’t want to be.”
“No shit, I don’t want to be your rebound. I want to be more than that. I want you to be more than that for me. I don’t want to end up as a one night stand.”
“For fucks sake, Jeremy. It’s been since December, you and I doing this awkward fucking dance around each other,” she repeats, “I'm not here for a one night stand. I don’t know how you could think that you would ever be just a rebound to me when you are everything. I don’t want just one night. I don’t want one shot. Fuck, Jeremy, I want chapters, I want a novel, I want you and me to finally be something. If you have spent all this time thinking that I only want the bare minimum with you, then you don’t know me at all. That means we have spent the last how many months trying to ‘get to know each other,’ with nothing to show for it.”
“Emeline, you have avoided me every chance you get. I have to hope for those few moments when we’re alone and you actually want to be around me. But we can’t even be around each other anymore. It was almost worse than all those other times it was just the two of us. If someone saw us interact, they’d think we had never fucking met before that moment and didn’t want to be around each other any longer than we had to be. Then there are the other times when I try to talk to you, and you avoid me. You ignore me, which I don’t even know if that’s worse or not. Everything I do I feel like I’m losing you more and more. I don’t want to lose you. I don’t want to lose you as my friend even though it’s clear you don’t want anything to do with me.”
“For fucks sake,” Emeline says, stomping her foot on the ground. “Why is this so hard for us? All of our friends are trying to push us together and we can’t figure out how to be around each other.”
“Maybe they’re wrong.”
Emeline stares at Jeremy, swallowing what he was sure was about to be a sob. He felt himself crying, too, blinking away the tears as they mixed with the rain that ran down his face. “I don’t want them to be wrong.”
“We have to both want this, then, Emeline.”
“When you die,” Emeline starts, her voice shaking, “Your brain goes on for seven minutes playing back all of your happiest memories. You are my seven minutes. I want you to be all seven minutes, don’t you get that? I don’t want other people. Of course, I want you, too, you fucking idiot.”
Jeremy couldn’t tell if she was still crying at this point or if it was the rain going down her cheeks. Her makeup was everywhere down her face, but she still looked perfect to him.
He takes a step forward, raising his hands to cup her cheeks.
“What are you doing?” she asks, stepping back slightly, despite her body getting noticeably more relaxed.
“Will you just stand still?” he asks, taking her face in his hands and finally kissing her. He could feel her smiling against his lips, not stopping himself from doing the same as his hands tangled in her wet hair, the taste of the rain mixing in as their lips moved together. His mind stopped, he swore his heart was about to stop, everything around him stopped as he stood there in the rain, kissing the girl he had wanted to be with.

Better late than never. I got at least one in for the holiday season!
Day 31 of @steddieholidaydrabbles new-year/resolution
Rating: T warnings: fluff, post traumatic stress, apocalypse I guess?
Doomsday clock
“New year, new me.” Steve grimaced as the clock clicked closer to midnight. As far as he was concerned this party should have been over hours ago, more of a wake for the traumatic year that was 86 than a new year celebration- hold on no they were seeing out 87 now weren't they -The apocalypse really threw off the concept of time.
It wasn't even like he could drink in the new year like the others.
Both him and Eddie were stone cold sober, thanks Vecna, as if destroying their lives hadn't been bad enough. He had to go and take away the comfort of alcohol to numb the trauma. But hey he had some awesome scars, that totally made up for it, right?
The rest of the party were enjoying the party. But he saw it behind their eyes, the childhood that had been taken away, the lost time, the lost chances.
He had slipped away so Robin could finally shoot her shot with Nancy.
He knew it should feel something, regret? Lost opportunity? But he felt nothing. Just empty. His best friend deserved the world, she didn't have to get dragged into this disassociated state with him.
Let her find love.
He had felt Eddie's eyes on him as he excused himself from Joyce's front room, desperately in need of nicotine and to shake himself out of the depressing fug he had dragged himself into.
It didn't surprise him when Eddie followed.
They stood in silence leaning against the railing, watching through the glass as the others passed around drinks, laughed, and smiled as the alcohol did what it was supposed to. Even the kids had been allowed drinks under supervision.
What did it matter, Hawkins was a lawless town. Erased from maps and atlas, a mystery that would disappear in a few years never to be spoken of again.
It didn't exist.
But they did.
The ones who survived. The damned. The cursed and forgotten.
He hadn't meant to utter his words into the silence between him and Eddie, but it had happened anyway.
“New year, new you?” Eddie always made sure that Steve could see his lips when he spoke, not hiding behind the lengths of hair that had slowly begun to grow back to the lengths that Steve had grown to envy, back before.
Before the end of everything. Before and After. Everything divided straight down a burning red angry line that had ripped the world apart.
Eddie watched as Steve stubbed out his cigarette before turning his attention back fully to Steve's face. Steve's eyes traced the scar that ran across the other man's chin, it was quiet enough outside in the frosty air for him not to need to look at Eddie's mouth as he talked to follow the words. But addiction is a cruel mistress.
And, ever since Eddie army crawled back from Hell itself, Steve had been just that. Addicted.
Eddie had buried under his skin and become as much a part of his life as breathing.
Obviously, Steve hadn't told him that.
Couldn't bring himself to burden the man with the shallow empty shell of what he used to be. Scared, broken, deaf and all the other fun stuff that came with being the human shield, one concussion away from the bitter end. Human chew toy, a disfigured jumpy twitchy mess.
“Yeah, new-year resolutions, traditional shit. New year, new me” Eddie stubbed his cigarette out in the ashtray between them. Still watching Steve, as Steve watched him.
“Shame. I like, this you.” Eddie shrugged, hovering just outside of Steve’s personal bubble. Even now unsure if he should or would be let into Steve’s space. “What if you have a personality transplant and you turn back into a douchebag jock? That would never do. I have standards sweetheart. I could never…”
“You could never, what?” Steve watched as Eddie chewed on his bottom lip, his face schooled into the picture of innocence. Without the sound cues Steve was lost to read his expression, but there was something akin to mischief in the other man's eyes.
“It’s not midnight yet, my new year's resolution might change in the-” he glanced at the clock through the large glass doors. “-next seven minutes. You know me Stevie, I’m unpredictable, I zig when I should zag. Plus a New You might severely derail my immediate future plans."
Many things had changed in the After. Eddie was different, less opinionated, no need to fight for the attention of his peers, here in the ashes of a failed civilization, everyone was created equal. Yet sometimes he still spoke like he was leading a campaign or like his words needed to be deciphered with a cryptograph or a cypher. Used as a shield and a way to deflect. He talked in riddles, and tonight the topic of his enigmatic words was evidently Steve himself.
“When have you ever done anything because of me? Mr free will.” Steve found himself stepping forward, letting Eddie into his safe space. The other man seemed to be gearing up to something. So Steve waited.
Eddie tapped his lips in thought and Steve let the movement draw him in.
“Well let's start with a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away when I decided to not stab a bottle through your vocal cords. Kind of a turning point in my life that has sent me hurtling down a path towards this new years resolution if I’m honest.” Eddie stepped closer, it was getting harder for Steve to focus on his lips now, but it wasn’t for lack of trying. The way Eddie was looking at him now was almost animalistic, and Steve had never felt more like prey.
“I mean I chose to follow you out here at- “ he checked the clock again, “- five minutes to midnight and freeze my ass off- a commodity I have little to spare in the first place- to maybe, just maybe be in the right place at the right time for once. Each choice has brought me here. To you. So yeah, I’d say a lot of you, influences a lot of me. Especially your new year's resolution, if it means you’re going to go changing- ” he gestured wildly in Steve’s direction. “-Any of this.”
“Is that so?” Steve looked into the kitchen, his chosen family milling as they jostled to have a drink in their hand as the clock struck twelve. “So I have two minutes to change the world? Talk about a doomsday clock.”
“This isn’t about the world. It’s just about you and me. No doomsday clock needed.” Eddie stepped closer. “Just maybe a new watch battery, so I don’t run late for the date I was gearing up to ask you on. But you know that was the old Steve. Like I said, new Steve might be a douchebag.”
Eddie was stupidly close now.
“How about this?” Steve nudged Eddie's nose with his own, “I ask you out now? And neither of us make resolutions? They're kind of stupid anyway.”
Eddie's eyes studied his own. His pupils danced as he tried to focus on Steve who instinctively lent in.
“Hate to rush you Eds, but you have about thirty sec-” Eddie bit the end of his nose, causing Steve to jump back in shock.
“Don't you doomsday clock me Harrington.” Eddie warned a damn right dangerous look in his eye. Goddammit that shouldn’t do things to him but a blatant want was bubbling in the pit of his stomach.
“Twenty seconds.”
“I think I can just fit you into my busy schedule.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.”
“Fuck resolutions then.”

Kloktober 2023 Day 25
Campfire or left in the cold
Since Dethklok were already canonically abandoned in the snow, I decided to go for campfire today. For some reason, I couldn’t stop picturing Nathan and Skwisgaar at the campfire so that’s what you’re getting! They’re one of my favorite Dethklok relationships after all :)
Tumblr media
“Okeys, starts askings de questionks, go, go go!” Skwisgaar rubbed his hands in expectation.
“Okay, okay…” Nathan narrowed his eyes at his phone screen. “If you could be an animal, what would you be?”
Skwisgaar replied instantly. “A dragons, you!”
“Maybe like Godzilla or something…” Nathan said, in deep thought. “Godzilla is fucking brutal.” He returned his eyes to the screen. “What has made you laugh until you cried?”
“Whens…” Skwisgaar was already giggling at the memory. “Whens Moidaface tripped with dogs shit, den a bananas, then his hair caught fires, then brokes his nose...when he diveds in a pools.” He shut his eyes, body shaking from laughter.
Nathan chuckled. “That was fucking awesome. I guess that’s mine too.” He stared at the screen again. “Favorite TV Show?”
Some hours ago, Skwisgaar had suggested to Nathan to get fucking plastered, a suggestion Nathan would never turn down. They decided to get booze without the Klokateers and, on their way back from the store, they got lost in the woods.
Luckily, they had found a small campfire that Charles had set all across the place in case any Dethklok member would ever get lost, they could be safe and warm. Charles had told them to stay there and wait to be picked up. And while they waited, well…that booze wasn’t going to drink itself.
Skwisgaar especially was giving Nathan a fight for his money with that bottle of rum, which was impressive considering Nathan was the one that got a liver transplant due to this extreme alcohol consumption.
While neither of them was normally too talkative, alcohol made them more chatty. Thus, they were now playing the 20 questions game with each other.
“Uhh….a fact about the last person you kissed…” Nathan asked reluctantly, like he wasn’t sure he was reading it right.
“He ams a stupid dildos.” Skwisgaar answered way too fast.
Nathan blinked. “He?”
“She,” Skwisgaar belatedly corrected. “She ams…stupids…” He frowned at the fire and took another gulp of rum.
Nathan thought it was weird that Skwisgaar seemed bitter, he didn’t seem like the type to even remember his partners. Not that he cared. “Mine had huge boobs and was super hot. Next question…most traumatic exper-let’s skip that. What’s the last text you received?”
Wordlessly, Skwisgaar pulled up his phone and opened the messaging app. He raised both eyebrows for a second before his expression turned neutral again. “You ams a colds unfeelingks monsters.” He read, impassively.
“Woah.” Nathan chuckled. “That’s brutal. Who sent that?”
“Toki.” Skwisgaar said before tucking his phone back in his pocket.
“Oh.” That was considerably less brutal. “Did you guys fight?”
“He ams just being a big babies as usualsk.” Skwisgaar rested his face on his hand, seemingly done with the conversation.
“Right…” Nathan scrolled down his own messages. “The last message I got was from Charles saying we needed to stay put, so…” He opened the image again and cleared his throat. “Last awkward situation you found yourself in?”
Skwisgaar snorted. “When Pickle walkeds into me and Toki-” His half-lidded gaze suddenly turned wide-eyed. “P-Playings wif our swords- I means guitars! We were playingks wif our guitars!”
Nathan wasn’t sure if he had drank too much and was starting to hallucinate things but something was starting to be really odd about Skwisgaar’s answers. If anything, this was currently his most awkward situation. “Okay, let’s move on…have you met the person you fell hardest for?”
“Noes!” Skwisgaar yelled. “Noes, I hasn’ts! I don’ts do dat! I don’ts falls for peoples evors!” As if to emphasize this, he took a pretty long swig of his bottle and finished it.
Yeah, he was going to ignore that too. He was definitely going to ignore it. “Yeah, that’s a no for me too…” He mumbled to himself before moving to the next question. “What’s a secret you haven’t told anyo-”
“Nethans, ams you questioningks me?” Skwisgaar stood up and gave him an accusing glare.
“What?” Nathan grimaced. “No? What the fuck are you talking about, I’m just reading these stupid questions!” He looked back at his phone. “Next question says: talk about your ex.”
“I don’ts has an ex!” Skwisgaar exclaimed in frustration.
“That’s what the game says!” Nathan replied, just as frustrated.
Puffing, Skwisgaar sat back down on the tree trunk. The crackling of fire filled the silence between them. “Sorries.” He said after a while.
Nathan stared at him with vague, intoxicated concern. “Are you okay?”
“Ams dat a games questionks?” Skwisgaar said, gaze half-lidded again.
“Uh…” Nathan glanced at his phone. “Yeah.”
Skwisgaar kept his eyes on the fire, lip quivering. “Noes…” He let out quietly.
Nathan pretended to read from the image on his phone. “Why…are you not…okay?”
Skwisgaar sighed, covering his face with his hands. “I thoughts I didn’t cares about somethings…but I does…and it sucks.”
He might have had too much to drink, because it was making him sad to see Skwisgaar so dejected. “What happened?” After a pause, he added. “That’s also a question here.”
His friend chuckled. “I…has an argskuments with somebodies….” He lowered his hands, frustrated at himself. “I knows! Soes fucking stupids. Ams I a goil? Pfft.”
Nathan waited and waited, but when Skwisgaar didn’t say anything else, he insisted. “And?”
“Ands…” Skwisgaar blinked slowly at the fire, like he couldn’t comprehend what he was feeling. “Ands I misses dat idiots.”
“So, go and tell that person that.”
Skwisgaar winced. “I can’ts.”
“Uh, why?”
“He-she wants somethings whats I cant’s give hims…I means her.” Skwisgaar mumbled and buried his face in his legs.
In turn, Nathan took several gulps of his whiskey bottle, because he really was going to need it to listen to Skwisgaar’s half-baked confession. He exhaled loudly, the alcohol burning his insides. “And what is that?”
Skwisgaar didn’t move for several seconds. “Loves.” He finally said, voice muffled.
Seriously? That was it? Love?! Nathan squinted at Skwisgaar in disbelief. “The way I see it, you don’t seem to be having problems with that.”
Confused, Skwisgaar raised his head. “...What you means?”
Nathan stared into Skwisgaar’s eyes, a bit exasperated to have to spell it out for him. He was never the best with words, but Skwisgaar was even worse. “Egh, I mean that what I’m hearing is that you……love this person, Skwisgaar. Your problem is that you don’t want to admit it.” He drank more whiskey. “That’s it.”
Skwisgaar looked at him like he had invented the atomic bomb, or something. “I alreadies…?”
Nathan saw a bush move and he stood up instinctively before recognizing the Klokateer uniform. Oh, right, they were waiting to be picked up.
“Sir!” The Klokateer waved his hand, and another one came running behind. “Where’s-”
“He’s right here.” Nathan pointed at Skwisgaar, who still seemed to be in a state of semi-shock. “Hey, Skwisgaar,” He nudged his shoulder. “They came to get us.”
Skwisgaar didn't react.
Very quickly, the Klokateers reached them, covering them in blankets and giving them hot chocolate. A monitoring Charles spoke with them on the phone. The Klokateers said something about wolves and bears being in the area, though Nathan didn’t really listen, instead focusing on putting some whiskey on the beverage before drinking it. That was really good.
On the way back to Mordhaus, Skwisgaar didn’t say a word, just held the chocolate awkwardly, some drops spilling on his blanket but he didn’t seem to care. When they finally arrived to their house, though, Toki was waiting at the entrance, an anxiety-riddled expression on his face.
“Nethans,” He said, mildly relieved, though his eyes were still searching. “Where’s- Oh!” He ran to Skwisgaar, wrapping his arms around him in a tight hug. It was nothing out of the regular, really, Toki had always gravitated more towards Skwisgaar out of all Dethklok members.
After the conversation he had with Skwisgaar, however, Nathan couldn’t help but feel like there was something different. As Toki said unintelligible things to Skwisgaar, the latter gazed at Nathan. He hadn’t quite recovered from everything but he nodded at Nathan.
Nathan nodded back at him before he went back to his room to rest. It wasn’t until he had laid on his bed that he realized he was smiling.
Skwisgaar never said thanks outloud.

Kuroo's Ex Girlfriend chapter 17
Your throat burns as you throw back the shot. You slam the glass back down onto the table and fail at not making a face. Across from you, Aoyama who just finished her own shot, laughs at you and the way your whole face crinkles up.
That was it, you told yourself. That would be your one shot of the night. God forbid you end up drunk tonight and shack up with one of your coworkers… Again… Nope! You were going to be responsible tonight, you would nurse this glass of beer all night long and enjoy chatting with the people around you. There wasn't any need for you to embarrass yourself.
The izakaya you had all gone to was a bit of a hole in the wall but Kazai swore by its reputation. He had told your group that this place was practically a historical monument at this point, having been his favorite drinking establishment since college. Kenma had sighed in relief when first entering and made some comment about how at least it was quieter than the places he had visited with the previous CEO.
The long table you sat at seated all ten of you was a horigotatsu, built low to the ground with the floor recessed beneath it so your feet would dangle near the heater in the floor as you sat and drank. The food wasn't that bad either, you enjoyed the cheap plates of sashimi and karaage.
Kenma plops back down next to you as he, Kazai, Tomoske, and Sanada from Marketing return from grabbing drinks. Kenma's hands though, unlike the three men who were talking his ear off, were notably empty. But you suppose there is reason to be grateful for that as he is swaying in his seat looking as if he may topple over just as he did when he had been exhausted during that one day of work.
You think that when he sways in your direction that he's going to fall on top of you but by some miracle he stops just short of your ear and slurs. “ Think 'm gonna need a kidney transplant after all this.” His breath is hot on the cuff of your ear, sending shivers down your spine.
You wonder if that shot you had taken earlier was finally kicking in as you felt your entire face grow hot. You uncomfortably tug at your shirt collar as you try to remember how to breathe. When Kenma pulls away out of your bubble of personal space, you think you finally can again.
You turn to look at your boss as he sits in the seat beside you, his eyes half lidded with a lazy expression on his face. His hair falls in front of his eyes and he tries to blow a loose strand of hair out of his face but when it refuses to budge, he turns to you and pouts.
Cute.
That warm feeling returns as you reach over to sweep the strands behind his ear. The smile he gives you is so innocent and happy. Like a little boy with not a care in the world.
He's so cute!
That's weird. Why are you even thinking things like that? This is your boss we're talking about here. This is Kenma. The same Kenma that borderline tolerates your existence. You slap both of your cheeks at once, trying to snap yourself out of it. There is no reason you should be thinking he is cute. It's probably just the alcohol. You need to cut yourself off before you try to jump his bones again.
“Here you go, Kozume-Shachou.” Sanada says passing the mug of beer to Kenma. It is amazing how fast your boss's smile drops as he frowns at the drink. “You don't need a refill or anything, Hisho-chan?” You blink in surprise as you realize that Sanada is speaking to you as he points to your glass. “Looks like you've barely touched your drink.”
“Oh yeah, I'm not trying to drink too much tonight. I still have to make it home after all.” You answer politely. Sanada is nice, very respectful even if he can be a bit air headed at times. You feel bad about not drinking much after they were nice enough to invite you out but you need to keep your faculties about you or else you will make an utter fool of yourself.
“Aww, But (L/N)-san! I wanna take a shot wit you!” Ichigo whines loudly. She is just about as wasted as Kenma is but instead of a sleepy drunk, she seems to be a loud, excitable one.  She reaches across the table to hold your hands in hers making your eyes widen at the usually quiet girl. “Take a shot wit me. I'ma- I'ma buy shots fer the whole table!”
Curse you, Ichigo and your adorable little face.
Curse you, societal pressure to drink at work events.
And Curse You for being such a people pleaser and not being able to say no to people!
“Okay.” You answer the younger girl’s request, making her squeal in celebration. She nearly falls over in all her drunken excitement but a woman from accounting catches her and sits her back up straight.
Sanada throws his arms up in celebration, “Shots! Shots! Shots!”
Kazai joins in, “ Shots! Shots! Shots!”
From across the table Aoyama gives you a weary look as she tilts her head in Kenma's direction, “Is CEO Kozume okay there?”
You turn to look at Kenma who's doing his best to keep his head up. It bobs as his eyelashes flutter as if he's fighting the urge to pass out. You were mid thought in wondering if you should call a cab for him so he could head home when his head suddenly falls on your shoulder. You go ridgid as you hear him mumble, “You smell real good, (Y/N)”
You feel your face grow hot and you lift your drink to your lips and begin to chug. Why would he say that? Kenma hates your perfume, he's literally told you to stop wearing it. So why the hell is he snuggling into your neck, talking about how good you smell? Oh dear God, he's snuggling into your neck! Is Kenma not only a sleepy drunk but also a cuddly drunk? Heh, maybe that's how the two of you ended up sleeping together that one night.
You're just glad that the two of you ended up sitting next to each other. You could only imagine seeing the man being all touchy with any of the others.
Suddenly the thought of the man next to you being cuddly with a stranger or worse, one of your other coworkers, makes your stomach churn. You can't let that happen. For Kenma's sake, ofcourse. Not like there's any other reason. You just want to protect this man's sanctity, his virtue, and whatever else you trampled on when you were black out drunk.
“Kozume-Shachou! Wake up, we're going to take a shot together.” Sanada says, shaking the long haired man, spooking you in the process.
Kazai and Tomoske chuckle as Kenma sits up straight to glare at Sanada, “Sanada-kun. Don't you know better than to Chaperone a bro? Come on?” Chaperone? You feel the unbearable heat return to your face at the assumption made. Everyone thought you and Kozume Kenma were close.
Sanada looks at them confused but you on the other hand are already throwing your hands up to clear up the confusion, “Oh no, it's not like that. We’ve just known eachother forever and CEO Kozume is literally wasted. He's not usually like this.”
“See Takashi. I told you It wasn't like that.” Kenma mumbles as he slouches and rests his head on the table tracing the beads of water on his glass of beer with the tip of his finger. He's pouting again.
“Takashi?” You question out loud, unsure of who he's referring to.
“Wow, (L/N). You don't even know my first name? I'm hurt.” Kazai drawls from his seat. He rests his chin on the palm of his hand as he pouts dramatically. A drunk Ichigo pats him on the shoulder, believing his faux expression of hurt.
“Honestly, I think we're all more surprised by the Boss actually using your given name.” Tomoske comments as he slips his beer.
Kazai smiles smugly, “What can I say, we're sort of bros now. When you and Sanada were paying for the beers, we really bonded. We talked about work and games, I even gave him some relationship advice.”
Relationship advice? You turn to look at Kenma but he's too busy scowling at Sanada as the man pours him a shot and reaches over to fill your glass as well.
“You, giving relationship advice? That's rich, Ta-ka-shi” Aoyama rolls her eyes as she practically purrs each syllable of his name.
“I love the way you say my name.” He coos back only for her to roll her eyes and turn away. You begin to ponder on Kazai’s earlier statement of his and Aoyama's will they won't they’ dynamic and wonder why they don't. At work if there is ever a chance for the two to have lunch together, they do. Sometimes he will come in early just to ride the elevator to the top floor just to chat with Aoyama. And you swear that Aoyama is annoyed that he didn't choose to sit by her tonight. Instead Kazai is halfway down the table, nestled between Tomoske and Ichigo.
You think that if you were in her shoes, you'd act on your feelings. You would ask to switch seats, heck you would probably already be dating your coworker by now if you had this much romantic tension with someone.
Oh, let's face it, you would even if you didn't. You don't just act on your feelings, you act without thinking. You decided to marry a guy who was clearly not interested in you on a whim. And remember how easily you fell into bed with Kenma while drunk? Yeah, maybe you should be the one taking relationship advice from Kazai.
Kenma looks at you and pouts, “(Y/N)”
“Oh, uh.. Yeah?” You pause from your thoughts to look at him.
“ ‘m tired of drinking. Can you please drink it for me?” he holds out his shot glass out to you, expectantly.
You blink at him as he sits there with that same pouty face from earlier, his cheeks dusted a light shade of pink from the alcohol. You swear your heart contracts as you stifle the urge to squeal over how cute he was. You decide that you like Drunk Kenma. He was just so adorable and sweet! Seeing him like this just makes you so happy, like you're finally allowed to see a side of Kenma that you never got to before. You like it.
“CEO Kozume is kind of cute when he's drunk.” You hear one of the girls say.
This immediately snaps you back to reality. Who had even said that? Was it Ichigo? She was drunk enough to say whatever was on her mind. Or was it that girl from marketing? What was her name again? Tsuchiya? Was she just that drunk too? Who even makes comments on how cute their boss is? That's like super inappropriate guys. Like keep those thoughts to yourself. Ugh! You need to focus, you promised yourself that you would protect Kenma and his virtue tonight. If that means drinking his drink so he won't get anymore drunk, cute, and cuddly, then so be it!
You take the shot in from his hand and slam it back. As soon as you set the glass on the table you grab your own shot and drink it immediately. There's an immediate head rush that drowns out the laughing and cheering at the table. The heat returns to your face as the buzz intensifies and somehow makes you feel a bit looser, lighter even.
You let out a groan and place a hand on Kenma's shoulder to balance yourself, “Oh the things I do for you, Boss.”
“You Okay, (Y/N)?” Kenma asks you, staring up at you with these innocent sleepy eyes of his. Gosh his eyes were a pretty color. The way the dim overhead lights from the bar reflected in his amber eyes really made them just shine. They looked like gold. You nod slightly, feeling the sudden inability to form words at the moment. You watch as the corners of the man's golden eyes crinkle a bit as he smiles at your answer. He looks nice when he smiles, it's the sort of look that makes you feel like you could just melt. This is sort of funny, with how long you've known the man, you think this is the most you've ever seen him smile. From what you remember in school he'd hardly look at you, let alone smile at you. And tonight it's like he only wants to look at you, and all of his sweet little smiles are just for you.
Ugh! What are you doing, thinking like this!? You're just a little drunk, that's it. All the alcohol you just consumed is just hitting you a little quicker right now and that's why you're having these weird thoughts. If you just pay attention to anything besides the adorable man sitting beside you, these thoughts will pass.
You look up at your coworkers who are chatting and laughing amongst themselves. Aoyama and Kazai are bickering about something, you can't quite seem to follow the conversation so you turn to Tomoske who is explaining something about mortgages to Sanada and the other fresh faced kids from marketing. They look just about as lost as you do. You look down at the table littered with drinks and food instead and opt to give that your full attention.
You pick up your chopsticks and as deftly as someone who just took three shots in a row can, you pick up a sushi roll. It tastes good despite being so cheap. Or maybe that's just the alcohol. Sometimes when you're wasted it's like your taste buds are too and suddenly whatever you're eating is either the best thing you've ever had or utter trash. You're happy it's the first.
Your eyes make the mistake of wandering back to Kenma again. Maybe they just forgot all about mental gymnastics you just went through to tear yourself away from his gaze or maybe it's because you could feel him looking at you.
He's laid his head back down upon his arms that rest on the table but his lazy stare is focused on you. You freeze under his gaze as his eyes, half lidded and sparkling under the bar lights watch you like you're a movie screen. You hold the bite of sushi in your chopsticks dangerously close to your mouth as you try to decide on your next move. Naturally you should just eat it right? But the way Kenma's looking at you. Could it be that he…
You hold the bite out to him. He flinches a bit at the sudden movement as the chopsticks invade his personal space, “Hungry?” You muse, knowing how this song and dance goes with Kenma. Getting him to eat was like trying to give a feral street cat a bath and making it wear one of those sweaters made for pets.
So you're a bit stunned as he lifts his head and opens his mouth as he goes, “Ahhh”
You die. You're dead. Your heart explodes in your chest and your soul ascends to a higher plane because that is the only way you will ever be able to process how stinking cute he is!
Kozume freaking Kenma is letting you feed him!
You know that if he was the slightest bit sober he would hate you for this. But you can't help the way your heart swells when he closes his eyes and smiles at you after he swallows. The gesture reminds you of how cats close their eyes when they feel safe, relaxed, and content. It's like he's happy to just be near you. It's sort of funny how bad you wanted to just be his friend when you were younger. And now here you are. You and Kenma are close.
Not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, you grab another sushi roll and let Kenma eat it from your chopsticks.
“Not like that, huh?” Kazai says making you jump a bit.
“Aww, that's actually so cute. You really do take good care of the Boss, huh?”
Aoyama smirks, “Yeah, she takes her job very seriously” you feel your cheeks heat up. Why did she have to say it like that?
“Hisho-chan, you'd make a very good wife. Are you single?” Sanada asks and you can see Tomoske in the corner facepalm.
“Sanada-kun, that was way too forward. Seriously, how drunk are you?”
“ I- what?” You sputter. Was Sanada hitting on you? You genuinely couldn't tell. He had spoke in the same chipper tone that he had all night, there was no indication in his voice that he was flirting with you. But then again there was no sign that he was joking either.
Kenma sits up a bit straighter and looks over his shoulder at the oblivious man seated next to him. “Why are you asking if (Y/N) is single?”
Sanada paused for a second as if he has to really think about his reasoning. In all honesty, this guy seems kinda dopey. “huh, I guess it's because she's pretty?”
You cough, choking on the air that you suddenly forgot how to breathe. Why would he phrase it like a question?
Kenma looks like he's mulling Sanada’s answer over in his head. His previously sleepy expression now looking more thoughtful as his half lidded gaze makes him appear more wisened and contemplative. “Hmm…Yeah, (Y/N) is really pretty.”
Critical hit!
That was Super Effective!
You might just faint! It's time to drop some cash in a panic and rush back to the nearest pokemon center! You don't know why Kenma's blunt attack was so much stronger than you could ever expect but, it really knocked the wind out of you and left you feeling paralyzed. You kinda feel like those words alone have sobered you up.
“Still, you shouldn't talk to her like that.” Kenma mutters, looking away. “It's not… appropriate.”
Sanada quirks his head to the side in confusion, “What do you mea-”
The girl sitting beside him lands a smack to the back of his head, cutting him off immediately. She huffs in annoyance, crossing her arms, “You really are dense aren't you?”
“Huh?” Sanada chirps.
You don't think you've fully recovered just yet when Kenma begins to stand up from the table. His legs are as wobbly as a newborn deers as he speaks to the table, “Thanks for inviting me. ‘m tired though, think I'm gonna go to bed.” He doesn't bother with any further niceties as he turns on his heel to leave, nearly toppling right over as he does.
“Oh Kenma, be careful.” You chide worriedly.
You rush to your feet to keep Kenma from falling. Kazai is already at his side throwing your bosses’ arm over his shoulder to help him stand. “Woah man, you are way more drunk than I thought you were.”
“ ‘m not.” Kenma mutters as the two of you try to walk him outside.
“Sure you aren't.” You say as you slip your arm under his suit jacket and around his waist to get a better grip on him.
Kenma giggles and slurs, “Are ya trying to take off my clothes?” He's blushing as he asks this, rearing his head as far away from you as possible as if that would hide the shy smile flitting onto his features.
“Kenma!” You gasp in horror at the accusation. You have no idea where he would get that idea.
Kenma groans as he whines, “I just wanna go to bed. ‘m so tired!” He bursts into another fit of giggles and tries to push your face away, “Ugh! Stop feeling me up, you sicko!”
Sick idiot!? “Kenma!” You hiss, “Stop making me out to be a pervert.”
The three of you finally make it outside where Kazai helps you get Kenma to sit down on the curb. He's mumbling nonsense as he pouts, seemingly passed his giggle fit. “Stop making you out… Making- Making out- Bet ya want to be making out with Sanada. More like Snot Duh… I hate that guy. I'm going to fire him. Let's fire him tomorrow or Monday. What's today again?”
You let out an exasperated laugh “Kenma you will not be firing anyone. You're drunk.”
“You're drunk.” He shoots back
You sigh, turning to Kazai, “I can take the cab back with him and make sure he gets home okay. We'll be fine. Tell Aoyama I said bye, okay?”
Kazai nods, “Okay, be safe. And if he tries anything…” he trails off to look at your boss lying on his back on the sidewalk. “You know what, I'm not too worried about you (L/N), you could probably take him in a fight.”
You snicker at the comment and shake your head. “Good night, Kazai”
“Good night.” He says waving goodbye before he disappears back inside.
You look back down at Kenma, “Okay buddy, let's get you home.”

Max & Liz from Roswell, New Mexico (2019-2022) || Nick & George from Nancy Drew (2019-2023) [part I] happy birthday @helloyona
[Image Description: Nine stacked gifs, each one divided vertically in half. On the left is a scene from Roswell, New Mexico. On the right is a scene from Nancy Drew. Each gif also has capitalized, blocky text overlaying the images in the center.
THE GUARDED, CLOSED OFF ONE: Liz says, “I don’t trust people. I’ve been burned too many times. I use facts and evidence to build a cage around my heart. I can’t help it, I can’t change it. And, honestly, I don’t think I would want to. It’s my armor.” // George says, “ I have a mother who is a neglectful alcoholic, and I’ve had to raise three little sisters on my own. It was really hard, but I adapted, and life hasn’t made me nice. It’s made me vicious.“
THE PROTECTIVE, RUNS INTO DANGER ONE: Max runs into a building as Liz calls after him  // Nick quickly runs into a lake after a friend (offscreen) while George watches, visibly scared
TOP-TIER LOVE CONFESSIONS: Max stands in front of Liz and says, “But you’re not perfect. I see your faults. And I love you. Easily. You believe in the good in me when I can’t see it. So, is it so crazy that I believe in you too? Without evidence. I just… know.” // Nick gently tucks a strand of George’s hair behind her ear. She stares at him in shock as he says, "I love you. You take care of everything and everyone, and I know you don’t need anyone to take care of you, but you need to know you’re loved. Okay, you asked me before what changed from yesterday to today, what do I stand to lose, and… It’s us.”
LIFE-ALTERING FIRST KISS: (this is pretty self explanatory)
DEATH & RESURRECTION: 1 - Liz cries over Max’s lifeless body. 2 - Rosa uses her new ability to restart his heart. // 1 - Nick stares helpless at George after she’s been impaled. 2 - George gasps for air after Nancy uses a magical shroud.
AMNESIA PLOT: Liz looks relieved as she hugs Max, when she pulls away Max says, “I’m - I’m so sorry. Have we met?” // George rushes to Nick, saying, "Nick, you’re okay!” He recoils from her and responds, “Uh, who are you? Wait, you know me?”
FATAL ILLNESS POST RESURRECTION: Max, clearly not in a healthy state is talking with Isobel. M: "The heart is what’s the matter.” I: “No. You’re better. Valenti did a transplant. It’s better.” M: “Yeah. And my body’s rejecting it.” // George is talking to her grandmother’s spirit, and she tells George, “Your life line is beginning to merge with Odette’s. Your original line had a rocky start, but ended up happy and long. Odette’s life line is violent and brief. If you do not find a way to sever your connection, your life line will be greatly shortened.”
SABOTAGING NEWLY-FOUND STABILITY: After Max learns of her experiments, Liz says, “I’ve discovered something that could be the key to curing people who have no hope otherwise. I can’t walk away!” Max angrily responds, “So you’re gonna turn my family’s stem cells into the hottest commodity?” // George says, "[Dating other people is an] option that I never got to explore when I had an expiration date. I want us to be together for the right reasons, not because we just settled for each other.” Nick, in disbelief, responds, “Oh, you -- you settled for me?”
DOUBLE PROPOSALS: 1 - Max seems very emotional as he says, “What I want to say is that meeting you and being with you elevated my life. When you moved in, you did something I didn’t think was possible. You taught me that I can grow so much more.” 2 - On another occasion, Liz smiles as she holds a ring box behind her back. // 1 - George stands in front of Nick and says, “No more delayed gratification. No more waiting... Ned Nickerson… Will you marry me?” 2 - Nick kneels as he holds a ring box and says, “My answer’s yes. It’s yes. It always has been, with my… with my whole heart... No matter what tries to get in our way, I am never saying goodbye to you. In this life or the next.”]

What we see vs. What our photographer sees
It’s a catchy title!
It’s not that other people cannot see the things that photographers see; it’s that they do not see them or refuse to see.
This photographer saw things differently. This enhanced perception is for a middle-aged man who is almost 44 years old.
Tumblr media
It was a surprise, he wasn't wearing too much makeup, which is very unusual coming from him. His hairline has not fully grown after his hair transplant, but it is a perfect photo to see his lines, wrinkles, furrows on his forehead, rough skin, enlarged pores on his nose, and dark circles under his eyes. He cannot reduce the deep hook scar. His mole is in the same place and another one is growing on the forehead.
Tumblr media
He has fallen in love with Botox, but this time 🕰️ the effect was gone. There was only one way to find out the photographer got amazing results.
Tumblr media
Nobody cared about his brand, with his pin on his Vince black suede trucker jacket all the time, it was not part of the @filmfestivaloostende and it is an alcohol brand that is not found in Belgium 🇧🇪 or rather in the whole EU 🇪🇺 his trademark was refused. I don't think this will help drive their sales.

His desirable full head of hair is not possible, so SH tries hard to hide his sparse hair on the sides and crown of his head. That is why he usually combs his locks forward, from the back to the sides and the crown of his head, Caesar-style. This is why his sides do not match the baseline.
The pompadour hairstyle helps him to mask thinning at the crown, thanks to the way that it is partially slicked back and SH pushes up his hair at the front.

1981 Tekakwitha Children’s Home
If memory serves me right, it was here that I spent much of my second round of the sixth grade. Unlike the previous attempt, I was actually more present this time.
I was in class, I was doing the work and I was getting good grades. I have to think that it was because I was in a more structured environment. My house parent was vested in me and he cared, taking his role quite seriously. It was unusual to have that show of strength presented to me so openly and blatantly.
His name was, Charlie.
I had a room to myself and I preferred it that way, I hung posters on the wall and I wanted a plant. I asked for a clipping of a plant from one of the staff members and I grew it in water like I had seen my grandmother do many times.
When the plant was ready to be transplanted I chose a hanging basket and Charlie hung the hook and plant for me. When the other boys made fun of me, he defended me by telling them of the process in which it took the plant to grow and how I did that by my nurturing it to life and to grow roots.
It was a different world having an uncomplicated life of sorts, one where normalcy was a possibility. The problem with a child coming from chaos is that I didn’t have all of the skills to exist in normalcy. I coped better in a chaotic life where I had to troubleshoot my problems with the limited resources and knowledge that I had.
Still, I did my best while I had the chance. One of my good friends there was the same boy who I was forced to witness his rape by the same two teenage boys that raped me an hour before. It was like an unholy bond that we shared and I could see the differences it made in him some eight years later when our bedrooms were in the same unit.
When we would walk past that room, he would run the six feet to put distance between the door and him. I noticed my own behavior as well, I’d walk all of the way to the opposite side of the wall. Once I asked him as we walked past, ‘do you ever think about what happened in there?’
He reassured me that he didn’t.
Our friendship was a different one, changing after I witnessed him coming out of his bedroom closet looking exhausted and carrying a lotion bottle and a pillow. I didn’t know why or more so that I really didn’t want to know.
In a few more years he would be sentenced to prison for committing a rape that was so heinous and grotesque that I still cringe to this day thinking about. Yet, I can tap into his psyche and understand it a bit. There’s something that as even a victim of rape cannot be forgiven.
I was spinning out of control here during this particular stay, my preoccupation with alcohol was at an all time high. I wished that I was older. I began to hang out with the high schoolers, I found that I related to them more.
My time here went into the Christmas holiday and soon the next spring.
I had a girlfriend whom I really liked to be around, she was two years older than me. She had this curly hair and one of the sweetest smiles I had ever seen, she lit up when she smiled. When we were together and alone on the playground we were the only two people that existed. We’d sit on the swing together, holding hands. I was really drawn to her innocence and tomboy attitude. Alas, I was too young for her. She liked high school boys, again I wished to be older.
In a matter of weeks I would be in juvenile detention for being a general nuisance and that time I broke into the sanctuary and stole two cases of wine and wafers, I held a big party behind the gymnasium until the wee hours of the night. Yes, I had to go.

Fue Hair Transplant in Istanbul: Costs, Clinics, and What to Expect?
Istanbul has established itself as a leading destination for FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) hair transplants, attracting patients from across the world. With its affordable prices, state-of-the-art clinics, and highly skilled surgeons, the city offers a combination of benefits that make it a sought-after location for hair restoration procedures. FUE is a minimally invasive technique that involves extracting individual hair follicles from a donor area and transplanting them into thinning or balding areas of the scalp. Over the years, Istanbul has become a top choice for patients seeking high-quality hair restoration at a fraction of the cost compared to other countries. This guide explores the costs, top clinics, and what to expect when undergoing an FUE hair transplant in Istanbul.
Understanding the FUE Hair Transplant Procedure
FUE hair transplant in istanbul procedure is renowned for its precision and natural results. Unlike traditional methods, FUE does not require a large incision, making it less invasive and reducing the risk of scarring. The process begins with the identification of a donor area, typically at the back of the scalp, where hair is thick and resistant to thinning. Individual hair follicles are extracted using a specialized tool, and they are then transplanted into the areas experiencing hair loss. The procedure typically takes several hours to complete, depending on the number of follicles required for transplant. FUE is well-known for delivering natural, undetectable results, and it is a preferred choice for both men and women.
Costs of FUE Hair Transplant in Istanbul
One of the main reasons people choose Istanbul for FUE hair transplants is the affordable cost. On average, a FUE hair transplant in Istanbul can cost between $1,500 and $4,000, significantly lower than the prices in countries like the United States or the UK, where the cost can range from $6,000 to $15,000. The cost in Istanbul is influenced by factors such as the clinic’s reputation, the experience of the surgeon, and the number of grafts needed for the procedure. Despite the more affordable rates, Istanbul clinics are known for offering high-quality services and advanced technology, ensuring that patients receive excellent value for their investment.
Choosing the Right Clinic for Your FUE Hair Transplant
When considering a FUE hair transplant in Istanbul, choosing the right clinic is essential to ensuring a successful and safe procedure. Researching the clinic’s reputation, checking patient reviews, and verifying the qualifications and experience of the surgeons are crucial steps. Many clinics in Istanbul specialize in hair transplants and have experienced surgeons who have performed thousands of procedures. It’s important to look for clinics that are accredited by international medical bodies, ensuring that they meet global standards for hygiene, safety, and medical practice. The clinic should also offer consultations to discuss your specific needs and expectations and help you understand the process in detail before committing to surgery.
What to Expect Before the Procedure?
Before undergoing an FUE hair transplant in Istanbul, you will typically have a consultation with the surgeon to discuss your goals and the expected outcome of the procedure. The surgeon will evaluate your hair type, the extent of hair loss, and the donor area to determine the best approach. They will also explain the procedure in detail, address any concerns you may have, and provide a timeline for the transplant and recovery. Most clinics offer personalized treatment plans based on the unique needs of each patient. It’s important to follow any pre-surgery instructions given by the clinic, such as avoiding alcohol or certain medications before the procedure. In many cases, you’ll be required to arrange transportation and accommodation for your stay in Istanbul, as the procedure is typically performed over a couple of days.
The FUE Hair Transplant Recovery Process
After the FUE hair transplant, the recovery process is relatively quick compared to traditional hair transplant methods. The first few days may involve some mild swelling, redness, or discomfort in the treated areas, but these symptoms typically subside within a few days. Most patients are able to return to normal activities after about 3 to 7 days, though it is recommended to avoid strenuous exercise and direct sun exposure for a few weeks. The transplanted hair will shed within the first month, which is a normal part of the process. New hair growth typically starts to appear around 3 to 4 months after the procedure, with full results visible in about 12 to 18 months. Clinics in Istanbul provide post-procedure care instructions, including medication to prevent infection and maintain scalp health.
The Long-Term Results of FUE Hair Transplant in Istanbul
FUE hair transplants provide long-lasting and natural results. The transplanted hair follicles are taken from areas resistant to hair loss, which means that they will continue to grow naturally in their new location. As a result, patients can expect their hair to grow thicker and fuller over time, offering a permanent solution to hair thinning or baldness. However, it is important to note that hair loss can continue to occur in other areas of the scalp that were not treated during the procedure. With proper aftercare and maintenance, most patients enjoy lasting results and a restored, youthful appearance.
Risks and Considerations of FUE Hair Transplants
As with any surgical procedure, FUE hair transplants come with some risks and potential complications, although these are rare when performed by skilled professionals. Risks include infection, scarring, or poor graft survival. It’s crucial to choose a reputable clinic with experienced surgeons to minimize these risks. You should also manage your expectations, as not every patient achieves the same results. While FUE can deliver excellent outcomes, the extent of hair restoration depends on various factors such as your age, hair type, and the condition of your donor area.
Conclusion
FUE hair transplants in Istanbul offer an excellent balance of quality, affordability, and expertise. The combination of highly skilled surgeons, advanced technology, and competitive pricing makes Istanbul a premier destination for individuals seeking hair restoration. From the consultation and procedure to the recovery and long-term results, patients can expect a seamless and professional experience. By carefully choosing a reputable clinic and following post-surgery instructions, individuals can achieve natural, permanent hair restoration. If you’re considering an FUE hair transplant, Istanbul is undoubtedly one of the best places to start your journey toward regaining a fuller head of hair.

Step 1: Understand the Basics of Hair Transplant
A hair transplant is a surgical procedure that involves extracting hair follicles from the donor area (usually the back of the scalp) and implanting them into the balding or thinning areas. The most common techniques used are:
Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT): A strip of hair is removed from the donor area, and individual follicles are implanted into the recipient area.
Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE): Hair follicles are extracted individually and implanted, making it a less invasive option with a quicker recovery time.
If you’re considering a hair transplant clinic in Delhi, understanding these techniques will help you make an informed decision about which method suits your needs.
Step 2: Find the Best Hair Transplant Surgeon in India
The success of a hair transplant largely depends on the expertise of the surgeon. Choosing the best hair transplant surgeon in India ensures a natural-looking result with minimal scarring. When evaluating a surgeon, consider the following:

Consulting with the best hair specialist in Delhi can help you understand which procedure is most suitable for your hair type and condition.
Step 3: Compare Hair Plantation Costs in India
One of the most common concerns for patients is the hair plantation cost in India. The cost varies depending on several factors, including:
Extent of Hair Loss: More extensive baldness requires a greater number of grafts, increasing the overall cost.

Clinic Reputation and Location: A hair transplant clinic in Delhi may have slightly higher prices due to demand and the availability of advanced technology.
On average, the cost of a hair transplant in India ranges from ₹30,000 to ₹1,50,000, depending on the number of grafts required. It is essential to compare multiple clinics to get a clear idea of pricing and avoid overly cheap procedures that may compromise quality.
Step 4: Choose the Right Hair Transplant Clinic in Delhi

Patient Reviews and Testimonials: Check online reviews and feedback from previous patients.

Stop taking blood-thinning medications if advised by your doctor.
Wash your scalp with a mild shampoo on the day of surgery.
Your doctor will provide personalized instructions to ensure a smooth procedure and recovery.
Step 6: Undergoing the Hair Transplant Procedure

During the surgery:
The donor hair is extracted using FUT or FUE techniques.
The grafts are carefully prepared and implanted into the balding areas.
The scalp is cleaned and bandaged to facilitate healing.
The procedure is minimally invasive, and most patients can return home the same day.
Step 7: Post-Transplant Care and Recovery

Sleeping Position: Sleep with your head elevated to reduce swelling.
Avoiding Strenuous Activities: Refrain from heavy workouts and direct sun exposure for at least two weeks.

The Process of Hair Transplant Surgery: From Consultation to Recovery in Birmingham
The journey of hair transplant in birmingham surgery is a significant one, marked by anticipation and hope for those experiencing hair loss. In Birmingham, where the demand for such procedures has increased, understanding the entire process—from the initial consultation to recovery—is vital for prospective patients. This article delves into each stage of the hair transplant journey, providing clarity and insight into what individuals can expect.
Tumblr media
Understanding Hair Loss and Consultation
Hair loss can stem from various causes, including genetics, hormonal changes, or medical conditions. For many, this loss can profoundly impact self-esteem and overall confidence. Recognizing this, the first step in the hair transplant journey is a comprehensive consultation with a qualified expert.
During the initial meeting, patients undergo a thorough assessment to determine the cause of their hair loss and to evaluate the current state of their hair. This examination not only includes a physical assessment but also a discussion of medical history and lifestyle factors that may contribute to hair thinning or balding. The expert will explain the different hair transplant techniques available, such as Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) or Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT), along with their respective benefits and drawbacks. This detailed consultation ensures that patients are well-informed and can make educated decisions regarding their treatment options.
Preparing for the Procedure
Once a patient has decided to proceed with the hair transplant surgery, the next phase involves meticulous preparation. This preparation is crucial as it lays the groundwork for a successful procedure. Patients may receive specific instructions regarding diet, medications, and lifestyle adjustments leading up to the surgery. For instance, it is often advised to avoid certain blood thinners, alcohol, and smoking, as these can impact the healing process and overall results.
On the day of the procedure, patients arrive at the clinic feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. The surgical team ensures that the atmosphere is calm and reassuring. Before the surgery begins, patients will undergo a final consultation to clarify any last-minute questions or concerns. This step is essential as it reinforces trust between the patient and the medical team, ensuring that everyone is aligned on the procedure's goals and expectations.
The Hair Transplant Procedure
The hair transplant procedure itself typically spans several hours, depending on the extent of the transplant. Patients are usually given local anesthesia to numb the scalp, ensuring a painless experience throughout the surgery. During the procedure, hair follicles are meticulously harvested from a donor area, often located at the back of the head, where hair is more resistant to thinning.
In the case of the FUE method, individual follicles are extracted one by one, which allows for minimal scarring and faster recovery. On the other hand, the FUT method involves removing a strip of scalp, from which follicles are then dissected. Each technique has its merits, and the choice often depends on individual circumstances and preferences.
Once the follicles are harvested, they are prepared for implantation into the recipient sites on the scalp. This step requires precision, as the angle, depth, and distribution of the follicles are critical to achieving a natural-looking result. The surgical team ensures that each hair is placed in accordance with the patient’s existing hair patterns, creating a seamless blend between the transplanted and natural hair.
Post-Operative Care and Recovery
After the surgery is completed, patients will receive specific post-operative care instructions to promote optimal healing and results. This period is vital, as it sets the stage for hair growth and overall recovery. Patients may experience some swelling, redness, or discomfort in the days following the procedure, but these symptoms typically subside within a few days.
It is essential for patients to follow the aftercare guidelines provided by the medical team. This may include instructions on washing the hair, avoiding strenuous activities, and protecting the scalp from sun exposure. Additionally, patients should be aware that hair shedding is a normal part of the process, often occurring within the first few weeks post-surgery. This shedding is temporary, and new hair growth will start to emerge after a few months.
The timeline for recovery varies among individuals, but many begin to notice significant improvements within six to twelve months. Regular follow-ups with the medical team can provide reassurance and allow for ongoing support throughout the healing process.
The Impact of Hair Restoration on Life
The psychological impact of hair restoration cannot be overstated. Many individuals report a significant boost in confidence and self-esteem following their hair transplant surgery. This newfound confidence often transcends personal appearance, positively influencing social interactions and professional opportunities.
Moreover, the advancements in hair transplant techniques mean that the results are increasingly natural-looking, allowing individuals to enjoy a fuller head of hair without the tell-tale signs of previous methods. The satisfaction derived from this transformation can be life-changing, leading to increased happiness and a more fulfilling life.
In conclusion, the process of hair transplant surgery in Birmingham—from consultation to recovery—is an intricate journey that requires careful planning and execution. As patients navigate this path, it is crucial to have a supportive and knowledgeable team by their side. For anyone considering this transformative procedure, looking into reputable clinics such as Este Medical Group can provide the necessary expertise and guidance. Their commitment to patient satisfaction and excellence in hair restoration makes them a reliable choice for those seeking to reclaim their confidence and enjoy the benefits of a full head of hair.

The Best Way To Avoid Side Effects After Hair Transplantation
Tumblr media
Hair transplantation has emerged as a reliable solution for people dealing with hair loss. Modern techniques such as Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) and Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) have made the procedure safer and more effective. However, as with any medical procedure, side effects can occur if proper precautions are not taken. Here is a comprehensive guide to help you avoid potential side effects after hair transplantation and ensure optimal results.
1. Choose a Qualified Surgeon
The success of a hair transplant Noida largely depends on the expertise of the surgeon. Choose a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon with extensive experience in hair restoration procedures. Research reviews, ask for before-and-after pictures of past patients, and schedule a consultation to discuss your expectations and concerns.
2. Follow Pre-Operative Instructions
Proper preparation is essential to minimize risks during and after the procedure. Your surgeon will likely advise you to:
Avoid smoking and alcohol for at least a week before surgery.
Stop taking blood-thinning medications, such as aspirin, unless advised otherwise.
Stay hydrated and follow a balanced diet to support healing.
3. Adhere to Post-Operative Care Instructions
After the transplant, your scalp will be sensitive, and following your surgeon’s aftercare instructions is crucial. Here are some general guidelines:
Protect Your Scalp: Avoid direct sunlight and wear a loose-fitting hat if going outdoors.
Keep the Area Clean: Gently wash your scalp as directed to prevent infections. Use only the recommended shampoos and avoid vigorous scrubbing.
Avoid Touching or Scratching: Refrain from touching, scratching, or picking at the transplanted area, as this can dislodge grafts and cause infections.
Sleep Properly: Sleep with your head elevated for the first few nights to reduce swelling.
4. Be Patient with Healing
Side effects such as swelling, redness, and itching are common but usually temporary. These can be minimized by:
Applying cold compresses as advised.
Taking prescribed anti-inflammatory medications.
Avoiding strenuous activities for at least a week after the procedure.
5. Maintain a Healthy Lifestyle
Your overall health plays a significant role in recovery and the success of the transplant. Incorporate the following habits:
Balanced Diet: Eat foods rich in vitamins and minerals, especially those that promote hair health, like biotin, zinc, and omega-3 fatty acids.
Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to support healing and scalp health.
Regular Exercise: Engage in light physical activity to improve blood circulation, which benefits hair follicles. Avoid heavy workouts during the initial recovery phase.
6. Avoid Smoking and Alcohol
Smoking restricts blood flow and can impede the healing process, while alcohol may interfere with medications and increase the risk of swelling. Avoid both for at least two weeks post-surgery.
7. Use Medications as Prescribed
Your doctor may prescribe antibiotics, pain relievers, or anti-inflammatory medications to prevent infections and manage discomfort. Use them exactly as instructed and avoid self-medication.
8. Be Aware of Potential Complications
Although rare, complications such as infections, scarring, or poor hair growth can occur. Contact your doctor immediately if you notice:
Excessive bleeding or oozing from the transplant site.
Persistent pain or swelling.
Signs of infection, such as fever or pus.
9. Schedule Follow-Up Appointments
Regular follow-ups allow your doctor to monitor your recovery and address any concerns promptly. These visits are also an opportunity to evaluate the success of the transplant and discuss further hair care strategies.
10. Manage Expectations
Hair transplantation is not an instant solution. Newly transplanted hair may fall out within the first few weeks, which is a normal part of the process. Who is an Ideal Candidate for Hair Transplant?
Tumblr media
Hair loss is an emotionally challenging experience because it affects not only the appearance but also self-confidence. For many, the search for an effective solution often leads to hair transplants, one of the most reliable ways to restore a natural-looking hairline. However, while this procedure offers promising results, it is not suitable for everyone. So, who is an ideal candidate for a hair transplant? Let’s explore this question in detail.
What is a Hair Transplant?
A hair transplant is a surgical procedure that involves moving hair follicles from one part of the scalp (usually the back or sides) to areas that are thinning or balding. This technique is most commonly done using two main methods:
Both the techniques are aimed at providing natural-looking, long-lasting results. However, their success depends on whether the patient is an ideal candidate or not.
Characteristics of an Ideal Candidate
Whether one is fit for a hair transplant depends on a number of factors. These factors include the cause of hair loss, general health, and donor hair availability. Let’s go into details.
Sufficient Donor Hair
Hair transplants are based on donor hair. Most donor hair is taken from the back and sides of the scalp. This area is least prone to hair loss. Therefore, if a person has thick hair in these regions, the transplant will be most likely to succeed.
Type of Hair Loss
Hair transplants are most beneficial for androgenetic alopecia, also referred to as male or female pattern baldness. In this condition, there is local thinning such that hair may be translocated from other untouched areas. There are other conditions of hair loss, including scarring alopecia, that qualify but will only be considered if a specialist finds them to be stable.
For the best results, hair loss should be stable before undergoing the procedure. Individuals with ongoing or rapid hair loss might experience thinning in untreated areas over time, potentially diminishing the effectiveness of the transplant.
Good Overall Health
Hair transplantation is a surgical procedure, so candidates must be in good general health. Chronic illnesses such as diabetes, autoimmune disorders, or bleeding conditions may affect recovery and outcomes. A proper medical evaluation is important before the procedure.
Realistic Expectations
A hair transplant can greatly change the appearance. However, this is not a miracle cure, and candidates should be aware of the fact that results vary, depending on how dense the donor hair is, the availability of donors, and the condition of the scalp. This will allow for long-term satisfaction.
Who May Not Be a Good Candidate?
Hair transplants work wonders for many; however, some people may not be good candidates for the surgery.
Advanced Baldness with Insufficient Donor Hair
If baldness is very widespread and the donor area does not have sufficient healthy hair to draw from, then a transplant may not be possible. Another treatment could be more suitable in such cases.
Misconceptions
Some people also anticipate complete cover on the head after the transplant, regardless of how bald they initially are. Such expectations can turn into disappointment when they do not match the realistic potential of the procedure.
Advantages of Transplants
For those who qualify, hair transplants bring life-changing advantages:
How to Prepare for a Hair Transplant?
Proper preparation for a hair transplant requires careful steps starting from consulting with an experienced surgeon. This involves reviewing your medical history, pattern of hair loss, and appropriateness for the surgery. In some cases, he might prescribe some other treatments that can stabilize the hair loss before the surgery is done.
Equally important is to follow the pre-surgery instructions given by the surgeon. This may include abstaining from smoking, alcohol, and certain medications that may affect healing. In this way, the best outcome is ensured.

Skin Specialists’ Tips for Managing Sensitive Skin
Tumblr media
Sensitive skin can be challenging to manage, often reacting to environmental changes, skincare products, or even dietary habits. While it isn’t a medical diagnosis, sensitive skin refers to a heightened reaction to stimuli that wouldn’t typically cause discomfort. Managing this condition effectively requires a combination of expert advice, proper skincare practices, and attention to individual needs. In this article, we explore practical tips from skin specialists to help you care for sensitive skin, with insights from skin specialists in Jodhpur and how related services like hair transplant in Jodhpur can play a role in holistic skin and scalp health.
Understanding Sensitive Skin
Common Characteristics of Sensitive Skin
Sensitive skin manifests through symptoms such as:
Redness and blotchiness.
Itching or burning sensations.
Dryness and flakiness.
Increased reactivity to products containing fragrances, dyes, or harsh chemicals.
Causes of Sensitive Skin
Sensitive skin can stem from various internal and external factors:
Genetics: A family history of skin conditions like eczema or rosacea.
Environmental Factors: Pollution, UV radiation, and sudden weather changes.
Skincare Products: Ingredients like alcohol, artificial fragrances, and sulfates.
Medical Conditions: Skin disorders like rosacea, psoriasis, or dermatitis.
Tips from Skin Specialists for Managing Sensitive Skin
1. Simplify Your Skincare Routine
A complicated skincare routine with multiple products can irritate sensitive skin. Dermatologists recommend:
Using fewer products with gentle, non-comedogenic ingredients.
Opting for hypoallergenic and fragrance-free formulas.
Avoiding frequent changes in skincare products.
2. Patch-Test New Products
Before applying any new product to your face, perform a patch test on a small area of your skin, such as your wrist or behind your ear. Wait 24 hours to see if any irritation occurs.
3. Moisturize Regularly
Keeping your skin hydrated is crucial for preventing dryness and irritation.
Use a lightweight, fragrance-free moisturizer designed for sensitive skin.
Apply moisturizer immediately after washing your face to lock in hydration.
4. Avoid Harsh Cleansers
Cleansers with sulfates or alcohol can strip the skin of natural oils, leading to increased sensitivity.
Choose a gentle, pH-balanced cleanser.
Avoid using hot water; instead, opt for lukewarm water.
5. Protect Your Skin from the Sun
Sensitive skin is more prone to damage from UV rays, which can exacerbate redness and irritation.
Wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.
Reapply sunscreen every two hours when outdoors.
Use physical sunscreens with zinc oxide or titanium dioxide, as they are less likely to cause irritation.
6. Manage Stress
Stress can trigger flare-ups in sensitive skin by increasing inflammation in the body.
Practice relaxation techniques like yoga or meditation.
Maintain a consistent sleep schedule.
7. Consult a Skin Specialist
If sensitivity persists or worsens, consult a dermatologist for professional guidance. Skin specialists can:
Diagnose underlying conditions like eczema or rosacea.
Recommend prescription treatments or medical-grade skincare products.
Managing Sensitive Skin: Insights from Skin Specialists in Jodhpur
Skin specialists in Jodhpur offer tailored treatments for sensitive skin, combining expertise with advanced technology. Here’s what you can expect:
Comprehensive Skin Assessments
Dermatologists evaluate your skin type, lifestyle, and medical history to understand the root cause of sensitivity.
Custom Skincare Plans
Specialists design individualized skincare routines featuring gentle, effective products to reduce irritation.
Advanced Treatments
For those with chronic sensitivity issues, dermatologists in Jodhpur provide advanced options like:
Chemical peels using mild acids for exfoliation.
Laser therapy for redness and uneven skin tone.
Microneedling to strengthen the skin barrier.
The Connection Between Skin and Scalp Health
While sensitive skin is commonly associated with the face, it can also affect the scalp. Irritated scalp conditions, such as dryness or dandruff, can contribute to hair loss. Addressing scalp sensitivity is essential for maintaining healthy hair.
Role of Hair Transplant Services in Jodhpur
For individuals experiencing hair loss due to scalp issues, hair transplant services in Jodhpur provide comprehensive care. These services often integrate skin and scalp treatments to ensure optimal results. Dermatologists address underlying conditions, such as seborrheic dermatitis or psoriasis, before proceeding with hair transplantation.
Ingredients to Avoid for Sensitive Skin
When choosing skincare products, avoid the following common irritants:
Fragrances: Synthetic or natural scents can irritate sensitive skin.
Alcohol: Found in toners or astringents, alcohol can cause dryness and irritation.
Exfoliants: Harsh physical exfoliants or high concentrations of acids can damage the skin barrier.
Sulfates: These cleansing agents, often found in shampoos and face washes, can strip the skin of natural oils.
Lifestyle Tips for Sensitive Skin
In addition to a proper skincare routine, certain lifestyle habits can support sensitive skin:
Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to maintain skin hydration.
Eat a Balanced Diet: Incorporate foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, and vitamins.
Limit Exposure to Triggers: Identify and avoid specific triggers like certain fabrics, pollen, or extreme temperatures.
Use a Humidifier: This can help maintain moisture in the air, especially during dry seasons.
Final Thoughts
Managing sensitive skin requires patience, consistency, and expert guidance. By adopting a gentle skincare routine, avoiding common irritants, and consulting with a skin specialist in Jodhpur when necessary, you can achieve healthier, more resilient skin. If you’re in Jodhpur, the city’s dermatologists provide personalized care for sensitive skin, ensuring effective treatment tailored to your needs. Additionally, addressing related concerns like scalp health through hair transplant services in Jodhpur offers a holistic approach to skin and hair care. Remember, sensitive skin care is not one-size-fits-all—listening to your skin and seeking professional advice are key to long-term results.

Hair PRP Treatment in Madurai – Renew Hair & Skin Care
The Hair PRP Treatment Process
Initial Consultation
The first step involves an in-depth consultation with a specialist to assess your hair loss condition, medical history, and eligibility for PRP treatment. This phase may include scalp analysis and blood tests.
Blood Collection
A small amount of blood is drawn from your arm, similar to a routine blood test. This blood is then placed in a centrifuge to separate the platelets from other blood components.
Preparation of PRP
The centrifuge spins the blood to isolate the platelet-rich plasma, which is then prepared for injection. This solution contains concentrated growth factors vital for hair follicle rejuvenation.
Scalp Injection
Using fine needles, the PRP solution is injected into the affected areas of the scalp. This step is typically painless, though some patients may experience mild discomfort.
Post-Treatment Care
After the procedure, patients are advised to avoid strenuous activities and follow specific aftercare instructions provided by their doctor. This ensures maximum effectiveness of the treatment.
Benefits of Hair PRP Treatment

Since PRP is derived from your own blood, the risk of allergic reactions or side effects is minimal. It’s a natural way to stimulate hair growth without synthetic substances.
