In my head Scorpius, after catching Albus getting frustrated from trying to do his homework for the 50th time, makes him a little study guide.

At first its just sitting next to Albus while he works and circling the parts in textbooks which he will find the information on. It helped a little, but Albus still struggled with wording and structuring his essays. So it moved onto Scorpius giving him his notes, but it was all too chaotic and instead of working Albus would sit organising all the papers into one neat pile. So he binded his notes in order of appearance from the textbook, and added example essays he wrote with them.

Overall this meant he spent alot of his time rewriting homework so he could put it in his study guide binder, but he didn't mind at all. And it paid off since Albus passed all of his OWLS with Outstandings and Exceeds Expectations.

(Despite doing all this, Scorpius still had to sit with Albus every time he did homework to help him with spelling and keeping focus. As long as Scorpius is sitting working, Albus will too.)

If I was percy and the first 4 years of Hogwarts was normal (as normal as Hogwarts can be) and then in my last 3 years (which are deemed the hardest because of OWLS and NEWTS) and I am headboy and Prefect, also trying to get all 12 NEWTS and OWLS and went through everything in the first three books but only knowing the bare minimum (since it’s Dumbledore, nothing really) I’d become an alcoholic. Those 3 years are insane. How is he functioning? (Burnt out gifted symptom for sure.)

Bill and Charlie got lucky for graduating already.

Professor quirrell has Voldemort attached to his head, a troll escaped, ron is in trouble constantly with his new friends, whatever the fuck Fred and George are doing. And that’s just fifth year as a prefect. His youngest brother also helped and went to defeat their DADA professor (idk if they know specific details.) But your prefect and you have to keep an eye out on your House and other students.

6th year he’s also a prefect and a creature is on the lose petrifying muggleborns, his girlfriend got petrified (I’d be scared) Ginny isn’t talking to him and acting skittish (he tried to ask his mom and ask madam pomfrey for a potion to help yet she refuses and isn’t talking to mom) whatever Ron is doing with Harry and Hermione (probably dangerous? and the twins are once again pranking and doing who knows what. Still in charge of taking care of students. Probably just wanted to focus on his NEWTS. PROBABLY HAD TO SELF TEACH HIMSELF DADA AND TUTOR OTHER STUDENTS BECAUSE LOCKHART IS INCOMPETENT!

7th year headboy. Final year. Can’t be too bad. Oops a murderer is on the loose and then proceeds to attack Ron. Dementors are everywhere in the castle. Once again is siblings are doing who knows what at this point (once again definitely dangerous.) remus is a fantastic teacher but snape just outs him as a werewolf so he’s gone. also wanting to focus on his exams as a 7th year.

I bet he didn’t even get the full picture of what was happening. Dumbledore didn’t tell them anything I bet.

Those last three years are the hardest and I’d become an alcoholic or have like multiple breakdowns at that point.

Percy Weasley and any other prefect and headboy and head girl are strong during those years. Honestly being an outsider would have been hard as fuck like what is even happening at this point I thought this was a school.

I’m pretty sure I’m missing some details but still.

Reading the HP books for the first time

So I love Harry Potter but ive only ever seen the movies and all the information ik about the books comes from my friends who have read them. Recently I’ve been getting back into the Harry Potter fandom and I decided it was about time I started reading the series, and to make it a little more fun I wanted to document my thoughts about them on here!

So far I’m in chapter 11 of the first book and here’s my thoughts so far, sorry if my notes are a little scatterbrained 💀 (spoiler warning obvi)

First of all couple of side note but I thought it was interesting that the wizard that Mr. Dursley bumped into was so open talking about wizarding world stuff to a muggle, not a very smart move if ya ask me. Also omg! Hagrid got his motorcycle from Sirius?? Also a cute little detail I loved was the fact that the owls get paid for delivery lol! I wish that was kept in the movies.

Harry is genuinely SOO funny in this! His little remarks and comments make me laugh so hard. Also freaking Dudley is even worse in the book! This mofo is awful! Mostly blame his parents for that but he pisses me off (I could go on a whole rant about the Dursley family). On the flip side, the Weasley family is soooo darlingggg! When Ginny starts crying when the train starts leaving and one of them says they’ll write to her is so sad and sweet especially as she starts running after the train.

Something I thought was really funny was when Harry first met Draco while getting his robes and Draco saying something about bullying his father into letting him take a broom to school and thats genuinely so funny that he said that.

Something I thought was real interesting was all the Slytherin hate, from the adults especially. It surprised me a little to see Hagrids biases about the house.

I love how the books go into more detail about the classes, for example even though Harry thinks it’s the most boring class History of Magic sounds so cool! Especially since it’s taught by a freaking ghost! Also good to know that zombies exist in the Harry Potter universe, professor Quirrell says that he fought off a zombie or something and even if he didn’t fight one off they still exist apparently! And ik it’s controversial but I love Snape, his beef with children makes me laugh tho I’m upset with how he called Neville an idiot.

Speaking of which why is literally everyone so mean to Neville?? My poor baby’s got the worst luck in the world and people are rude to him for it 😭. I’m glad Harry stood up to Draco for him but even then Harry was avoiding being his partner in charms class, WHY HE IS SO SWEET AND A PRECIOUS LITTLE BOY

I do have a question tho, and maybe I’m just a dumb dumb but why did Hermione lie about the whole mountain troll situation? It’s the same in the movies. But couldn’t she just says “oh I was in the bathroom and didn’t know about the troll and Harry and Ron came to warn me and ended up saving me”? Was it bc she didn’t wanna say that she was crying in the bathroom or was it to make Ron and Harry look even more courageous? I feel like the whole thing wouldn’t have ended up the same just minus her getting lowkey in trouble

Oh and! When prof Quirrell was off fighting vampires or something is that where he got parasite Voldy?

I’m such an indecisive person and I can’t decide who my fav character is rn! I love Ron and I love Hermione but I love Harry and Neville! I’m also obsessed Fred and George but that might just be bc I’m a twin and I can relate to them lol

On another side note, I can’t wait to read how Ron and Hermione’s relationship progresses bc they are my fav ship ever and young love is sooooo cute 🥹

DUMBLEDORE RANTS

I've thought that witnessing Marauders fans blame all the deaths on Dumbledore is annoying enough, until I saw DRACO fans blame Dumbledore for all the wrong choices and stupid decisions that DRACO made HIMSELF????!!!

That person said it was Albus's fault for ignoring Draco's issues, for turning a blind eye on whatever happened to Draco in HBP and only lend a helping hand at the end of HBP.

And I was like???? 😦😦😦🤡🤡🤡??? Seriously???? Can you use your brain? At that time of the story, Dumbledore was a leader of an army and he had a mf WAR to deal with, he had plans to complete and had many other people (children, women, men) to protect. He needed to find out what was happening between Harry and Voldemort and turned that information into something useful that could make his side win the war.

He was old as fuck and still had to worry about several things, he sacrificed himself to make a way for the other, for a ray of hope. He was weak, sick and injured after destroying a Horcrux and coming through all the things in that full-of-inferiors cave. Yet he still made an unsual effort to control the situation and did his best to save as many people as he could. And you still think that he had any free time to worry about some brats putting himself in a fucked up position?

I don't say that everything happened to Draco was all Draco's fault. I know he's just a spoiled child who became cocky, rude, selfish and rac*st because of the environment he grew up in and a secret desire to satisfy his parents's expectations. I know he isn't evil at all and didn't deserve all the bad things happened to him. BUT Draco wasn't the only one who was in danger. Every other students, other children were also facing the same war. Did you see what happened to Dean, Seamus, Nevellie and their families? Did you see what happened to other creatures like the elves and goblins? Did you see what happened to Order and Ministry members when Voldemort chased after them and tortured then killed them brutally? Dumbledore was losing HIS PEOPLE one by one, the war became very dangerous for his side and he couldn't hesitate anymore, he must do something, anything to make it better.

And despite all of those terrible things, Dumbledore still cared for you all precious Draco 😀. He had a plan for saving that boys soul, soothe him with warming advices while Draco's wand was still pointing at his neck. All the things he told Draco at the moment before his death are to make Draco not feel guilty about his actions. What else do you want Dumbledore do to help Draco? How else could Dumbledore help him if Draco rejected even his favourite teacher, the one he used to respect - Snape? Things happened to Draco wasn't only because of his fault, but it also was NOT DUMBLEDORE'S.

You think they would win the war without Dumbledore? You think your favourite character died because of him? Shut up you idiot 😊😊

I'm not even a Dumbledore defender, I know that old man also made mistakes in his life but I swear those ppls and their Dumbledore slander start being annoying as fuck. NOT EVERYTHING is his fault ok???? Urrggggg I'm going to get mad because of those ppls, they start losing their sanity for real 💀💀💀, they should be banned from social media for the peace of the world 🫂🫂🫂🤗🤗🤗

Imagine James sirius who has imense guilt for teasing albus when he was in a bad place. For dog piling with his bullies. So he focuses on helping his brother and making things right by showing him the support and love that he was too afraid to voice when he was young, his own mental health getting worse and worse.

He ignores his needs and tries to keep a smile on his face even though his anxiety is getting so bad he can barley focus on school work. He stops eating cause while he doesn't want to hurt himself he's always been a coward he wants to punish himself. So he denys himself food- the thing that represents family to him-Cause He didn't act like family to albus.

He needs to atone. Punishments is only half of the equation. He needs to make things right.

Cause james is a bad person. No good person would ignore someone who needs help, especially not their own sibling. No, good people sacrifice their own needs to help others. So that's what he'll do. He'll give and give until he can feel good about the fact that there's nothing left of him anymore.

It wouldn't matter, james didn't deserve to be himself anyways.

oh i just had the most cursed and yet hilarious dream about DSOTM that woke me up laughing

Harry and Dumbledore claim they have a blood relation to give Harry a bit of protection right - but what if the relation they claim is father and son???

Harry is, at first, against the idea, but Albus is like "nah nah this can work - ain't nobody who would fuck with my son, you can even take my name if you want?"

Harry say a polite fuck no to that but the papers for 'Harry Evans' are drawn up - Albus Dumbledore's recently discovered bastard child.

Everyone is shook, and Tom's crisis of attraction is even more fatal this time around because does he really want Dumbledore as a father-in-law?? but then Harry does something borderline impossible with magic and he just curls up into a ball because yes yes apparently he does.

The only two people who question it are Gellert and Aberforth. Gellert just pisses himself laughing at the mere idea and sends Albus a letter basically going lol nice try who is he really?

Which is at least more polite than Aberforth who took one look at Harry and said to his brother "no way youve ever touched a woman carnally - what's actually going on?"

Do you think albus would do well in muggle school? If so what would be his favorite classes/extra circulars?

Omg.. I've been meaning to talk about this.

I think he'd do great in muggle school, especially with all the extra classes we have.

Personally I've always believed he'd be good at Math or Music. I think he'd always be more into the less wordy questions and the more... nor wordy questions. So you can ask him to find the volume of a cone and he'd do it no problem because its very straight forward and it has specific rules to follow which make it easier, but if you ask him how many apples timmy would have if he started with 6 and ate 2, he'd lag.

For the music one it's very similar because it has rules you need to follow and he prefers when he knows exactly what he's doing. Also I imagine him to love the guitar and he'd definetly beg Harry for one for Christmas. (This fits into the fact I think Albus would momentarily leave the wizarding world to start a career in music instead of pursuing magic.) Despite this he still struggled with the writing aspect of music so it'd only be his 2nd best subject.

But yes I think he'd do much better in Muggle School, specifically the less theoretical classes like art and drama. That's not to say he'd enjoy those classes, but he would do well in them.

Bonus: Scorpius is a theatre kid and Albus has to go to every single one of the school plays he is in no matter how small they are. Draco pays for his ticket each time. Scorpius's best subject would be Chemistry!

• He enters the room and sees Scorpius wearing a short sleeve shirt and understands the situation, he sits down on Scorpius' bed gently without wanting to disturb him and looks at him, Scorpius hid further into his pillow feeling ashamed that Albus will look at him in that state, but Albus didn't care, he just wanted Scorpius to be happy, he caressed Scorpius's hair and cheeks, brushing away Scorpius' tears and giving him a kind smile, whispering a small "do you want to talk?" •

• Scorpius shook his head slightly and Albus whispered again, "Do you want me to leave...?" Scorpius shook his head again, moving closer to Albus. Albus hugged him while kissing his hair and caressing his hands and arms. "Maybe it looks bad to you, maybe I can never take away the pain and the guilt, but I want you to know that scars are not a sign of weakness, they show how strong you were and endured for many years, and I am very proud of you that you have healed, really Scorpi" Albus kisses Scorpius on the cheek.
