Controversial take incoming:
While I understand that albino Jason is appealing, I dislike that it’s become so widespread. Especially cause when Leah’s casting was announced it wasn’t a trend with magnus. It ends up feeling like. “Yeah the homeless kid can be black. But the leader golden kid of the 12th legion? He’s got to be Special”

This has been a very exhausting post to make lmao. I gave some of the characters who don’t have canonical surnames my own Hcs for their surnames. Also, I am yet to read through trials of Apollo, so maybe I’ll come later back to add more Roman names to the list.
Tagging my moots that I like to see their opinions for this (as well as the ones I tagged within the list as well):

Jason grace had always been a rebel who was a very unconventional outcast in his own way who was born a roman but was never a traditional roman by thoughts and beleifs I mean sure he had all the basic good roman qualities such as honor bravery nobility chivalry who always thinks before acting ( I think he was actually forced to be logical because of circumstances as he was for the most part a leader) . but He had many revolutionary ideas and beleifs which could have reflected in his ways of thinking, fighting and strategising from making joining fifth cohort to renaming the legion from twelfth to the first to take a big risk and change a lot of stuff for the romans. So in a nutshell though jason is a roman a part of the pack he is also by thoughts beleifs and ideas and spirit really very different and apart from the pack as well. he is the albino of the group. But he chafes under the rules and traditions as he has to take up the role of son of jupiter/leader roman demigod for the greater good of being a hero to fight off a greater evil as the persons in positions of power don't have choice to take what they want instead has to do what's best for the overall good always and he successfully does it . So there we have it already a leadership complex, abandonement and trust issue complex, identity issue and outcast complex.
Sure he does he love his people the roman demigods they were his family growing up but he also never really fit there because of his modern revolutionary thoughts and very different ideas and in spirit who he was not a typical traditional roman but a bird who was caught in a cage bound by rules responsibilities and duties forced upon him who was waiting to be freed to soar for a greatness for which camp jupiter was just not enough for this wild adventurous real jason who was suppressed beneath the son of jupiter so his character arc is to be one of self discovery also he represents the trope of even the best make mistakes sometimes and it's ok like all of this is just one facet of Jason's character development imagine how complex of a character he could have been
And I think the reason why jason was so perfect and cautious could be because of his training with lupa as it's essentially fittest will survive kinda mindset training where one doesn't show weakness or fear or doesn't do mistakes as conquer or die that's their way so failure is something that jason does not take easily given the kind of brought up he had at a early age with his mother lupa. Also we should understand that jason was most of the time a leader and as a leader one must deliberate to make the right decision as the decision the leader will impact the whole team as a result jason never had the liberty to take what he wanted or be who he wanted and always deliberates towards doing the right thing as his decisions will not only impact only him but the whole group he leads as he was always responsible and burdened from a young age not allowed to be what he wanted and always had to carefully make his decisions as he cannot make a mistake as it will not affect him but the whole group he leads and as a result jason is someone who is very perfect and rarely does mistakes and doesn't take those mistakes lightly
