Duke Albert V (1528-1579) of Bavaria with a Lion
Artist: Hans Mielich (German, (1516-1573)
Date:1556
Medium: Oil painting
Collection: Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna, Austria
Albert V, Duke of Bavaria
Albert V (German: Albrecht V.) (29 February 1528 – 24 October 1579) was Duke of Bavaria from 1550 until his death. He was born in Munich to William IV and Maria Jacobäa of Baden.
Albert was educated at Ingolstadt by Catholic teachers. On 4 July 1546 he married Anna of Austria, a daughter of Ferdinand I, Holy Roman Emperor and Anna of Bohemia and Hungary (1503–1547), daughter of King Ladislaus II of Bohemia and Hungary and his wife Anne de Foix. The union was designed to end the political rivalry between Austria and Bavaria. In 1550, Albert succeeded his father as duke of Bavaria.

A recitation.
The mantle has passed to me.
Dad had a few party pieces: Sonny Boy (Al Jolson); Don't Laugh At Me (Norman Wisdom); and this comic poem. He would regale the company with them - at parish do s, and family gatherings.
As he aged, we'd duet on Don't Laugh At Me, and, after he died, it became my party piece. But I never learned Albert and the Lion.
Until now.
Now, I have come into my full inheritance.

I'll be doing doodles for the rest of @benbaroweek2023!
For Day 4: Vampire/Flowers, I drew Haremane (?) giving flowers to Nyanzieks!
@nicandragon's mascot design of Albert lives in my brain rent-free (just like how Albert lives in the Van Zieks estate, probably). I cry he's SO FLUFFY!!! OHHHHHHHHHAUWRhiauseghps... anyway....
Sorry I have no more writing energy, but enjoy some sweet scribbles :)! I think Albert wants Barok to have light in his life, so he mostly gives sunflowers... They clash with Barok's aesthetic, but he doesn't mind because they remind him of Albert. I do think there's always a single rose, though.

Another piece of art I forgot to post here. The trio from ds3 holds a special place in my heart because I had to flesh them out as filler characters in a lot of my fics.

Some musicians can benefit from the standalone singles. Actually, I'm surprised Eno didn't do more of these – we can joke he applied the principles of the latter for his albums –, though he did release some surprising ones. For instance, he cover the famous chestnut by the Tokens into an amalgam of whatever his style was during the early 70's and the original. However, he somehow pointed towards his future on the composition, since he only slightly modified the piece. I mean, the whole things sounds like him singing over the original backing. True, this was not the case, yet I presume he wished for the song to sound like that, he wished to capture what the original actually had. To be honest, the question of the original here is a complex one.
