The Bullyingying

Unfortunately for Shoichi’s rage fit, Niklaus was having none of it - especially since as well... He didn’t want him to get in trouble either, and the twin’s resolve was there on his face. Not even considering the others, or one that was probably inches away from a bludgeoning and left them to recover on their own with the sheer confusion. Niklaus only glared back at him in return, although only in the slights did he catch only briefness to the look on his face. Niklaus would rather get him out of the room before anything bad happens - despite the backlash, he didn’t answer his question.

“Let’s go. We’re leaving.” He stated firmly, not even aware of how bad thing’s could’ve truly got if he hadn’t stepped in. Whether or not he still had the walking cane in hand, Niklaus pulled his weight along with him and backed it for the door. There was only as sliver lining as Shoichi got. He obvious didn’t want the person who helped him awhile back to suffer dumb consequences or get boxed over violence. 

When Niklaus got more towards the door, he chimed in, ignoring the familiar gaze and the latter.  “No, I’m not his bodyguard, either. Talk about great timing, but let’s not get put in a box if it can be helped.” Niklaus’ grip loosened up with some consideration, but more than ready to react and  keep tight if he thought that was his chance to move.

She didn’t mind being up at absurd hours of the morning, much since she couldn’t sleep well all the time. But this morning was more important than most, even if that meant leaving the bed stealth like and earlier than she’d like - where she was cozier with her love. 

Although, as well as not having anything immediate it in mind for a gift for his birthday - Josiah wasn’t put off by trying to do something nice for him before he wakes up. Or more like, when he did... Cooking quietly wasn’t too hard but still enough to make her nervous and try moving quickly with what she had on hand to make and what obtained from stores that were open at the hour. 

Even if the lot of it wasn’t perfect but done as best as Josiah could. All of it was plated tidy before carefully taking it all the goods back to the room with quieted foot steps, a drink in hand with a near anxious look on Josiah’s face. But once she stepped into frame and peeked her head around the corner at the sleeping Valerie like a mouse, steps maneuvered into the room in a quick stride - lips pulled into a purse before setting the plate of the half few waffles and a few pancakes on the nightstand. Hesitantly placed whipped cream was on the side with a considerate amount of raspbebby syrup incase he preferred that more. All in best to shake off any worry it might not be to his taste and she did it wrong - Josiah set the glass of orange juice down next to it before carefully cozying down on his side of the bed towards the edge.

Hands gently placed atop his shoulder, leaning over to peer at Valerie better before leaning down to nose at his cheek to gently coax him awake. A few soft kisses and nestles ghosted down towards his jawline with a smile, more intended to wake him with her affections. Once he started stirring a bit, she braced her weight more against him before nestling up more towards his ear with a more than audible murmur of, “happy birthday, my love.” Josiah wasn’t trying to rattle him awake suddenly but it didn’t stop her from scooping around Valerie’s frame with a soft hug. “I made you breakfast. Hope you like it.”

Squinting, she was trying to process that logic in comparison to herself. Not that she believed it by any means, but she didn't spare herself a glance before reeling her head back a little bit, bearing a tooth briefly.

"The hell are you on? Does every lass with big cleavage equal overpowered and godsent? That doesn't sound right- what that sounds like it back issues and someone needs a deflated tit." She spoke plainly, flinching by the countless times she'd seen such images around.

"That count for males in that genre or is that simply pancake pecks? Bigger the pancake the better?"

Oh no, never. She grew up seeing one too many people fly into exaggerated, ranging from comical to terrifying fits of rage and making overly dramatic scenes in public. Whether they were family members or even frustrated members of the palace and/or diplomats back home, she’s seen quite enough of that already. These types of episodes always heightened her anxiety, and she found them rather difficult to watch. The sheer embarrassment of such scenes combined with the curiosity of onlookers irrelevant to the event have never failed to make her cringe, and she would very much like to avoid that feeling if she can.  Not to mention the amount of physical and negative energy that would have to be concentrated into allowing herself to even reach that point of thrashing and writhing about in such a public display of ire. 

Especially as a rather introverted and timid individual,  she absolutely dreads any confrontations and avoids them if possible. The less attention she draws to herself the better. This goes double for her Castlevania!verse where the fears and suspicions of the mortal masses are already at an all-time high, and her foreignness and study of magicks and medicine abroad is already doing her no favors in that department.  So nope, no temper tantrums for this woman… Though that’s not to say that she herself can’t be a Petty Patty at times. Her anger, annoyance, etc. is more expressed in a passive-aggressive way rather than having an obvious and theatrical display of her extreme dismay. Or if the other individual who’s giving her a hard time is just especially ornery or antagonistic towards her without cause, despite her loathing confrontation, she might even opt to trading barbs with the other person. Even so, she usually would never curse/cuss the person out, at least not to their face. Though that person must’ve really pushed and prodded her with extraordinarily terrible and rude behavior for her to be even willing to throw any of her caution to the wind like that. Like just a fantastically ignorant, condescending troglodyte of a human who really tried their best to demean her or her loved ones in any way. 

When something manages to get Nadir to be the point of anger or annoyance, she will at first attempt to excuse herself from the conversation or whatever it is that is grating ont her nerves.  Depending on how irksome or triggering the thing in question is, she might even vent to a trusted friend depending on the situation and how dire it actually ended up being. In the Arcana!verse, this trusted person would most likely be either Julian or Portia. Jules is actually a pretty darn good listener, and he has actually helped to calm her and encourage her put the situation behind her and to not devote mental energy obsessing over it. Though truthfully, usually even in these matters she tends to be rather reserved and tries to keep things to herself  when possible so that she is not burdening anyone else with her troubles. This especially applies to Castlevania!Nadir since in that verse, Nadir has to be on her toes a lot of the time concerning the sudden appearances of Dracula’s fiends and minions who terrorize Wallachia, and a moment’s inattention/distraction/idle chit-chat could mean her life, or the lives of whoever’s accompanying her (depending on if she’s traveling alone or happens to encounter/join the main three at some point, or even potentially members of other resistance groups).

A small heave of a breath left the Agent's lips once he felt palmed contact on his back, though far from uncomfortable as the fall might've been. He didn't even think to consider any apologies immediately while he was trying to gather the question as to whom, or what made him forcefully hit the deck. "At ease--" He muttered, feeling the arrange of handsy contact but not instantly expecting Shiro's sudden strength, that in which felt like he was peeled off the floor like a sticker. His expression was alert and half bordering the potential anticipated blindness if not from Shiro's obscuring silhouette. Staring at him with squinted eyes at first with no recognition at the time his eyes were adjusting to the hunkering frame.

His voice reached him before Shiro's visage did, where his gaze softened up on the spot like his rag doll body. "Shiro? I'm sorry, I didn't-- see you there, my bad," although unintentionally brushing over his question in interest of his well being instead. He didn't get a chance to address it when Shiro went for the chocolate bar and the Agent used that small frame - using his arm to prop himself up a little bit. Niklaus was watching him for that mini moment, registering his words last while eyes were watching the bar now - with quick reactivity. "Wait-" Two digits came up to intervene, shoving in front of the treat before it went into his mouth. "I can give you a fresh one, you don't have to eat that one. Not off the floor." His brows upturned with a small frown.

While his hand remained, albeit Shiro was free to ignore him easily while he found comfortable refuge in his lap. The Agent was using his freehand to reach around for his pocket, but briefly caught by the remark from Shoichi that made his features flinch. "I have to go over there but I don't often go on higher floors, I'm all over the place... Wish they didn't think florescent were a good idea-- oh, actually-" Regardless if Shoichi was fixed on his distance, "have you met Shiro yet?"

When he reached the near end of the shelving, his steps paced down a bit once he heard his strange response, one that made Niklaus look back over his shoulder. Between all the people in here, he knew that they’d have not a trouble replying to the agent, where it only brought on more question at the bizarre matters at hand.

“Someone? What’s the set difference people in here…plus you didn’t answer my question.” Niklaus stated, but this time mid step came rounding the corner of godly hell light Shiro was casted in - and unfortunately… Niklaus’ was caught on him like he tripped over a hidden rock in obscuring fog - his features flitting shock once he failed to catch the shelf and utterly tripping over Shiro. So much the toss down momentum sent the Agent down faster than a falling tree right on his belly with a heavy whump of gear and grunt. His chocolate bar sadly was lost from his grip, sliding away a few feet as Niklaus lie there like he died on the spot… Not even sure what he tripped on in the first place but at least Shiro was more better off from his rooted spot - F to the agent who was cursed with unwanted height.

      When Niklaus’s lanky form tripped over him, he let out a gasp and hooked his fingers into the edge of the bookshelf. But that didn’t help. Moments later, his body tipped over like a bowling pin and he fell on his back by the agent’s side. When he tried pushing himself off the floor, his palm landed on the twin’s back instead. He stubbornly braved the blinding light and pried his eyes open to see Niklaus laying there like an uncoordinated giraffe. That’s when he realized what had happened. In a frenzy, he began patting around the agent’s back and nudged him from side to side in his attempts to get s good grip on him to lift him up, at least enough to turn him over. It took a moment, but with a heave, he managed to pull him into his lap. Shiro towered over him, providing an escape from the neon beam in the respite of his shadow.

      “Are you okay? That was quite the fall” he noted. Through his periferial vision, he caught glimpse of the chocolate bar that lay abandoned on the floor a little out of his reach, but with a bit of effort he managed to stretch his arm out for it and grabbed it. However, looking over the state of it, he let out a sigh and shook his head. “I don’t think you’d want this anymore. Five seconds have already passed… Oh, but me?” he paused and brought it closed to his lips. “It’s not gross enough to deter me.” After making that declaration, he opened his mouth and was about to chomp down on his snack.

      Somewhere behind the two of them, lurking in the contrasting shadow, Shoichi was tilting his head and staring at them with a look of disappointed confusion on his face and his hanging mouth slightly crooked, half grimacing at the sight. A rare expression. The distance he kept from them showed that he was still on edge, not comfortable having others in his proximity, but at the very least he seemed more approachable now than he did prior to entering the library.

      “Good thing yer not working in Containment. You’d have tripped over the safety rail a long time ago,” he snickered.

Banks - Gimme

This song goes in. It's full of so much energy and is just so much fun to jam to. I wish I had a good sound system to blast this on. It would make my jam sessions to it that much better.

Not Enough - Sinner

I love the atmospheric nature of this track. It's so mellow, but still packs a punch with those guitars and the metalcore style screams. And I just absolutely adore the cleans. The cleans are everything and so beautiful.

Emphasis - 70.1% Leviathans

I rekindled my love for this track out of nowhere because it was stuck in my head for a couple of days. It's such a beautiful track and is super proggy. And who can say no to saxophone solos in metal?

New Years Day - Come for Me

Ash's voice just keeps getting better and better. This track is so much fun and full of bombastic energy. The chorus is super catchy and that scream she lets out during the bridge is so epic. The bridge in general is epic.

Akphaezya - The Secret f Time

These guys are the closest we're ever going to get to having an avant-garde metal band as bizarre and epic like Unexpect. The genre shifts and the strange vocal lines are absolutely amazing. When it comes to this genre, the weirder the better in my opinion, and these guys are definitely weird.

Aly & AJ - Church

Who told them to make a song this iconic and amazing? I can't get over how epic and amazing this track is. I need to hurry up and listen to the Sanctuary EP, because they're icons now that need to be worshiped and praised.

And that's it for May. Maybe I'll be able to get June's out earlier than this and last month's lists, but I'm not getting my hopes up lol.

Knox had no idea how he even ended up in this situation, but all he knew was he was getting a bit of pay and he was going to be off post duty for the small while. Could be pull it off? It wasn’t like he was trying to be too harsh and mean about it, he had poor control to some degrees but to say the least he didn’t want the cameras on him for very long either despite his stability right now. The look on his face wasn’t budging at all even after his rough handling but behind his eyes still read sorry since it looked a bit too rough. He was just a mere goon by this point. Yet as soon as he opened his mouth and went off the defiance, Knox hadn’t budged regardless from his own defiance but his features flinched from the uncalled for rebuttal.

“Sure, sure, I’ll take you out on a date to the morgue if you don’t cut the shit, that much for you,” Although the advance of closure had him easy enough to lift a quick hand to grasp just under his jaw, squishing both his cheeks easily with thumb and digits from the grip to disrupt the look he had.

No doubt it was of her biggest concern, mind how fast he blitzed to take care of himself - yet even then, there was a cautionary take when she wanted to go check on him. Just as soon as she was aiming to announce her presence, the sudden slam of the door startled her with a jolt - almost as harsh as a startled cat while she got a small bit of air time from the tiny leap. A small breath of shock, by a hand that cupped over her chest, huffed out a few incoherent words on the spot before cutting the small few feet to the door now. But a brushing stop, Josiah leaned in a little bit with a few small knocks after the passing faintness of words - she hadn’t heeded them and didn’t plan to.

“Are you alright in there, Valerie? Did the food make you unwell?” Her head turned, pressing her ear to the door now with curious silence - albeit a hand, as any normal means when someone closed the door, grasped the knob with a small twist to see if it was unlocked or not.
