The team was scattered across the court, finishing up drills and cooldowns, their chatter filling the space as they moved around. You had hoped—prayed, even—that you could slip in, grab your phone, and leave unnoticed. But fate, as always, was cruel.

And the entire gym stopped dead in its tracks.

Oikawa, who had been mid-sentence, visibly choked. His water bottle slipped from his hand, clattering to the floor.

Iwaizumi, caught off guard, blinked hard, as if his brain needed an extra second to process what was happening. Yahaba, who had been chatting with Kunimi, turned so fast he nearly gave himself whiplash, mouth opening but no words coming out. Kunimi, usually too lazy to react to anything, actually paused, his usual indifferent stare slightly wider than normal.

Even Kyotani, who rarely paid attention to anything that wasn’t volleyball or fighting, furrowed his brows, looking between you and the rest of the team like he had just walked into some elaborate prank. After a long pause, he finally muttered, "Why do you look like that?"

You shifted uncomfortably, hating every second of this. "My God. Can you guys stop staring?"

"We can’t," Watari blurted, sounding just as shocked as the rest.

Because, for the first time since they had met you, you weren’t wearing your usual baggy, oversized clothing. You weren’t hidden under loose layers of fabric that swallowed your frame. No, today, you had been dressed by your mother, which meant you were in something far more… put together.

The dress was sleek and form-fitting, something you never would have picked for yourself. "Hah—seriously, though! You clean up nice," Matsukawa mused, looking you up and down with a smirk. "Didn’t know you had it in you."

"No one did," Yahaba muttered, still looking at you like you had just shapeshifted before his eyes. "What the hell."

"I don’t," you grumbled, adjusting the hem of the dress uncomfortably. "My parents picked this out. Not my choice."

"Your parents should pick your outfits more often," Oikawa said before immediately ducking as Iwaizumi chucked a towel at his head.

Kunimi let out a short exhale. "So that’s what was under all those sweatpants. Huh."

Kyotani just grunted, arms crossed. "Tch. Whatever. Doesn’t change anything." But the way he kept glancing at you said otherwise.

"And that’s why I dress the way I do," you huffed.

Sensing your growing discomfort, Iwaizumi sighed, running a hand down his face. "Alright, that’s enough. Stop freaking out."

"I am freaking out," Oikawa retorted. "This is earth-shattering news."

"You’re an idiot," Iwaizumi muttered, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"You love me," Oikawa shot back, undeterred.

"I don’t," Iwaizumi deadpanned.

You exhaled, already exhausted. "Okay, I’m leaving now. If anyone makes another comment, I swear I’m quitting this team."

"No, wait!" Oikawa called. "Just one picture—"

With that, you turned on your heel and left, still muttering under your breath about hating dresses, hating heels, and how you were never letting your mother pick your outfits again. Behind you, the team was still buzzing, voices overlapping as they tried to make sense of what had just happened.

oh and you know the team jackets? He bought you yours. But not just any jacket oh no. Yours is special. He payed extra to have it say, “The Seijo Assasin; Oikawa’s bobyguard.” He also might have gotten it in 4xl because he doesn’t know your size, but still wants it to be way to big on you so he can make fun of you. He’s an ass.

Iwazumi is much nicer on the other hand. He (regardless of if it’s platonic or romantic,) is all about helping you carry your stuff. He doesn’t even ask either, he just kinda picks it up and does it. He says it isn’t a big deal, and that you’re carrying enough with your archery equipment anyway, and that he needs the weight training anyway. Def the kinda guy to use your backpack as a dumbbell and use it to lift while y’all in the hall.

I know y'all have a running competition on who can hit oikawa in the head the most. Body shots are one point, head shots are worth 2, and the groin is worth 3, especially if he’s being creepy to someone. The score is currently 34-31, slightly in your favor. Whoever hits him the least by the end of the month has to buy the winner ramen. Oikawa doesn’t approve of this game, and ends up attempting to bump everything back your way. But on the bright side, it’s a good way to scare off his fangirls :).

Kunimi just kinda vibes with you. Like he doesn’t really acknowledge much of what you do, just kinda goes like, “ oh so that’s why you were so good at that. I just thought you hated oikawa. Anyway can I have your Chez-its?” Yeah my boy don’t care enough, but he cute so yeah.

also I just know this mf, plays Fortnite and vapes blue raspberry burst. Do with that what you will. ( to be clear, I wouldn’t ever vape, i just know he does, and honestly had to look up what flavors there are.

The honesty biggest thing you do that impresses him is the whole good aim card slicey thingy. Idk man, he just seems like he would be good at that, and would try to fight you on it.

Despite everything, Kyotani is actually relatively nice to you? Or at least as nice as he can be. His version of nice is avoiding you like the plague, cause he’s scared you’ll be scared of him. He actually really likes you and wants an excuse to talk to you. So what does he do? Asks you to help him aim while spiking, so that he can use his strength more efficiently. He actually is pretty patient with your teaching, and genuinely respects you enough to take your advice. ( tell him to shower pls, I can smell him through the screen, luv him though)

He also uses a whole bottle of axe body spray every time he walks out of the house . Be careful not to get too close to him. Please find someone strong, or stupid enough to bully him out of it, for the sake of the teams lungs🙏

Kindaichi is probably the only person on the team who still calls you Y/n- senpai. He’s way too precious. That being said, he still did give you a twenty if you hit kageyama with a vollyball during warmups. He may be nice, but he mad petty. And $20 is $20 man

Matsukawa is definitely a COD type of guy. He knows a lot about guns. Bond over that (then give me his number pls)

Why yes! Sure thing. I'll give you headcanons of how Aoba Johsai meets y/n! But there'll be some happy and wholesome timeskip moments and some will be very upsetting!

Oikawa Tooru

Oikawa thought you were really bitchy towards him at the first meeting he had.

But at some stage he later on thought about you in a different way that made him think you aren't that bad.

When on Valentine's day you got a river of letters and cards flowers and chocolates.

He didn't like it very much that you were popular amongst the guys at Aoba Johsai.

Especially with you being a third year both third year guys and second years would confess their love to you.

On the day that he remembered when you and Oikawa met he felt ashamed that he was so rude towards you.

He still blames himself.

Timeskip: You stood there next to your husband. Oikawa now thinks back to the sweet memories the two of you have made before you got engaged.

Iwaizumi Hajime

When you met Iwaizumi things just changed. How did you meet Iwaizumi?

Well it was through Oikawa that you met his childhood friend Iwaizumi Hajime.

It was really sweet of Oikawa to do something like that but later through the months you and him spent together.

You never thought you'd fall for Oikawa.. which broke Iwaizumi's heart.

When you announced that you and Oikawa are now dating, things took a real bad turn for Iwaizumi.

Timeskip: At the end you and Iwaizumi were married for four years and three months, you were pregnant by three months when he was in Japan as the Athletic Trainer of Japan's team.

When you met Mattsun, well let's just say you fell in love with him and his brown eyes.

You knew you just had a type of guy with black curly hair and brown eyes.

It was during your second year of middle school your school and his had a camping trip.

But there is one thing that you do remember about Yahaba Shigeru and that is when you found him talking to a girl.

You were only six months pregnant with your daughter but the thing is you didn't tell Kindaichi that your daughter isn't his.

But your daughter has Kunimi's eyes and the color of his eyes.

The day that your daughter Aiko was born, Kindaichi was still cheating.

Kunimi was there through and through from when you announced that you're pregnant up until the changes in your pregnancy until she was born.

Right when you found your husband cheating with two women in your bed with him.

You yelled at him to get out and threw his stuff out with him and the women.

In about a month.. Kunimi got married to you and you let him move in with you.

You're now the happiest woman alive to have such a wonderful caring husband who wouldn't cheat on you ever.

- The first time you met him, you confidently called him “Goshino” and didn’t realize your mistake until Tendou burst out laughing next to him.

- Goshiki immediately corrected you, crossing his arms like it personally offended him. “It’s GOSHIKI TSUTOMU! How could you forget?!”

- He pouts every time you mess it up, but secretly, he thinks it’s kind of cute when you struggle. If you do it on purpose just to tease him, he’ll get all flustered and dramatic about it.

- One time, you combined his first and last name into “Tsushiki” and he just stood there in disbelief while Ushijima stared, unimpressed.

Koganegawa Kanji

- He’s used to people messing up his name, but when you called him “Koga-what-now?” for the third time in a row, he nearly cried.

- “IT’S KOGANEGAWA!! KO-GA-NE-GA-WA! IT’S NOT THAT HARD!”

- Even after you get it right, you sometimes jokingly call him “Kogaroll” or “Koganuts” just to watch him panic.

- You swear his last name just doesn’t come out right when you say it. “Sakuzo? Sakuza?”

- He just stares at you. “You’re joking.”

- You try again. “Saku…soba?”

- He sighs deeply and walks away.

Kunimi Akira

- You don’t actually forget his name—you just pretend you do because he never reacts.

- “Hey, Kuni-what’s-your-name?”

-He barely looks up from his phone. “Yeah. Sure.”

- No matter how many weird variations you come up with (“Kumimi, Kunoodle, Ku-nap-mi”), he just rolls with it. If anything, he finds it amusing.

Lev Haiba

- When you first met him, you thought “Haiba” was his first name, so you kept calling him that.

- He was too polite to correct you, but Yaku wasn’t. “Lev, tell them your actual name before I throw you.”
