Congress Faces Another Blow: BJP Labels AAP's Delhi Seat Offer as Yet Another 'No-Confidence Motion

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has characterized the recent offer from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to the Congress for a single Lok Sabha seat in Delhi as another blow to the already beleaguered party. BJP National Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla declared that this move signifies another “no-confidence motion” against the Congress by its own allies.

Poonawalla highlighted recent incidents where other political entities had seemingly snubbed the Congress. He mentioned Mamata Banerjee’s offer of just two seats, Akhilesh Yadav’s allocation of seats in Uttar Pradesh, and Sanjay Raut’s assertion that the Congress should start from zero in Maharashtra. Poonawalla argued that these instances demonstrate a lack of confidence in the Congress among its alliance partners, transforming the coalition into an effort to diminish the party’s influence rather than challenging the ruling BJP.

Asserting that the alliance partners’ lack of confidence stems from the diminishing appeal of the Congress and Rahul Gandhi, Poonawalla declared, “It is not an alliance of ‘Modi Hatao’ but an alliance of ‘Congress ko ghatao’ (diminish Congress).” He suggested that the Congress should be given around 200 seats or less nationwide, attributing the emergence of regional parties to a gradual erosion of the Congress’ voter base.

Poonawalla cited the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) rise to power in Delhi as an example of how regional parties have eclipsed the Congress. He argued that the AAP gained prominence by superseding the Congress in both Delhi and Punjab, emphasizing their reluctance to revive a diminishing political force.

Taking a swipe at Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, Poonawalla remarked on the perceived decline in support for the party since the initiation of Rahul Gandhi’s “Nyay Yatra.” He listed instances where leaders like Mayawati, Mamata Banerjee, Milind Deora, and Ashok Chavan expressed dissatisfaction or distanced themselves from the Congress. Poonawalla predicted a widespread rejection of such alliances by the public.

Earlier, AAP MP Sandeep Pathak had offered the Congress one seat in Delhi, acknowledging the Congress party’s limited electoral success in the region. While the AAP plans to contest the remaining six seats, the gesture was made in the spirit of alliance and respect for the Congress party.

Lucknow : Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav has announced their alliance in Uttar Pradesh for contesting 2019 Lok Sabha polls by sharing 38 seats each out of the state’s 80 parliamentary constituencies.

The parties kept the Congress out of the alliance, but said they will not field candidates in Amethi and Rae Bareli, represented by Congress president Rahul Gandhi and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi. The alliance left two more seats for smaller allies.

Making the announcement at a joint press conference with SP president Akhilesh Yadav here, BSP chief Mayawati said that the alliance will rob Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah of their sleep.

“The BJP taught us how to do ginti (arithmetic),” said Mr. Yadav on Friday, claiming that despite having a superior record on development, his party had lost out on the arithmetic.

A result of this strategy was seen in Gorakhpur, Phulpur and Kairana where the BJP lost its in by-polls as the grand-alliance tested waters successfully. Mr. Yadav said the number of alliances stitched up by the BJP to win elections had gone unnoticed.

The proximity between the two old rivals, the SP and BSP, started soon after the drubbing in the 2017 Assembly election in which the BJP and its allies secured 325 seats out 403.

The BJP played down the potential of the SP-BSP alliance, with CM Yogi Adityanath calling it a “desperate attempt to save their existence.” “Public knows the truth and they will give the reply when time comes,” he said.

सपा-बसपा का गठबंधन जरूरी नहीं बल्कि, मजबूरी हो गया था समाजवादी पार्टी और बहुजन समाज पार्टी का राजनैतिक रिश्ता 2 जून 1995 को टूटा था, जिसमें 12 जनवरी 2019 को पुनः गाँठ लगा दी गई है। खास बात सिर्फ इतनी ही है कि अखिलेश यादव और मायावती ने संयुक्त रूप से पत्रकार वार्ता आयोजित कर गाँठ बांधने की घोषणा कर दी, शेष सब वही है, जो आम जनता को पहले से पता है। गठबंधन होने की खबरें पहले से ही आ चुकी थीं, सीटों के बंटवारे के बारे में भी पहले से ही ज्ञात था। बड़ी बात यह है कि पिछले दिनों सतीश मिश्रा द्वारा किये गये खंडन के कारण गठबंधन न होने की अफवाहें चल रही थीं, उन पर अब विराम लग गया है। अखिलेश और मायावती ने गठबंधन के जो कारण बताये, वह भी स्वाभाविक ही हैं। स्वयं को जिंदा रखने के लिए कांग्रेस के विरुद्ध भी तर्क गढ़ने ही थे, सो बोल ��िए गये, इस गठबंधन का असर क्या होगा, यह तो चुनाव बाद ही पता चल सकेगा लेकिन, हाल-फिलहाल संभावनायें बहुत अच्छी नहीं दिख रही हैं। जातिवादी राजनीति के पुरोधा सपा-बसपा मुस्लिम वोट के साथ ही राजनीति में ठहर सकते हैं। राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर मुस्लिम वर्ग का झुकाव कांग्रेस की ओर बढ़ रहा है। मुस्लिम वर्ग में यह बात अब आम तौर पर मानी जाने लगी है कि राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर भाजपा का विकल्प कांग्रेस ही हो सकती है। मुस्लिम वर्ग की बदल रही सोच वोट में तब्दील हो गई तो, सपा-बसपा के भविष्य पर ही प्रश्न चिन्ह लग सकता है। मुस्लिम वर्ग एक बार कांग्रेस के पाले में चला गया तो, उत्तर प्रदेश में प्रभावशाली अवस्था में भाजपा और कांग्रेस ही रह जायेंगे, सो स्वयं को बचाने के लिए सपा-बसपा का गठबंधन करना जरूरी नहीं बल्कि, मजबूरी हो गया था। राजनीति में समय के अनुसार निर्णय लिया जाता है। विधान सभा चुनाव में अखिलेश यादव को कांग्रेस के साथ गठबंधन नहीं करना था पर, मनमानी करते हुए अखिलेश यादव ने कांग्रेस से गठबंधन किया। एक महीने पहले तक जो कांग्रेस उत्तर प्रदेश की बर्बादी का नारा लगा रही थी, वही कांग्रेस अखिलेश यादव का काम बोलता है वाला नारा लगाने लगी, ऐसे में आम जनता को दूर जाना ही था, साथ ही उत्तर प्रदेश में कांग्रेस के पास संगठन और समर्थक नहीं हैं, सो कांग्रेस के मिलन से न लाभ होना था और न ही हुआ। अखिलेश यादव की विधान सभा चुनाव में हार तय थी पर, कांग्रेस से न मिले होते तो, सम्मानजनक हार मिल सकती थी। अब हालात बदल गये हैं। कुछ दिन पहले तक कांग्रेस हर तरह से जूझ रही थी। छत्तीसगढ़, मध्य प्रदेश और राजस्थान में जीत मिलने से कांग्रेस का मनोबल बढ़ा है। आम जनता जीत के कारणों और वोट प्रतिशत पर मंथन नहीं करती, वह देखती है कि सरकार किसकी बनी है और इस दृष्टि से मध्य प्रदेश और राजस्थान जैसे बड़े राज्य कांग्रेस ने हाल ही में झटके हैं, जिससे आम जनता को अब भाजपा की जीत चुनाव परिणाम आने से पहले निश्चित नजर नहीं आ रही। मध्य प्रदेश और राजस्थान भाजपा बचाने में सफल हो जाती तो, भाजपा की जीत को लेकर आम जनता पहले से ही आश्वस्त होती। चुनाव परिणामों को लेकर अब असमंजस की अवस्था बन गई है, जो कांग्रेस के लिए अच्छी स्थिति कही जायेगी। इसके अलावा कांग्रेस आर्थिक संकट से जूझ रही थी पर, अब उसके पास धन की कोई कमी नहीं होगी। भाजपा से हर तरह से मुकाबला करने को कांग्रेस तैयार है। बड़े राज्यों में सरकार बनने से हर तरह से मदद मिलेगी, साथ ही चुनाव परिणामों को लेकर बनी असमंजस की अवस्था के चलते कांग्रेस को उद्योग जगत से भी भरपूर मदद मिलेगी। कांग्रेस अब हर दृष्टि से भाजपा के बराबर की योद्धा नजर आ रही है, वह हर क्षेत्र में भाजपा का न सिर्फ मुकाबला कर सकती है बल्कि, बराबर की टक्कर देने को ��ैयार है। लोकसभा के महासंग्राम का शंखनाद होते ही राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर भाजपा और कांग्रेस की ही धूम रहने की संभावना है। जमीनी और हवाई, हर के माध्यमों पर भाजपा और कांग्रेस ही छाये हुए होंगे, प्रचार वार में सपा-बसपा चाह कर भी भाजपा और कांग्रेस का मुकाबला करने की स्थिति में नहीं है, प्रचार माध्यमों का भी बड़ा असर होता है। कांग्रेस उत्तर प्रदेश में भी भाजपा का विकल्प बनने में सफल हो गई तो, सपा-बसपा पर्दे के पीछे ही नजर आयेंगे। हाल-फिलहाल सपा-बसपा गठबंधन का लाभ वीवीआईपी सीटों पर ही मिलने की संभावना जताई जा सकती है। सैफई घराने के लोग नरेंद्र मोदी की लहर वाले 2014 के चुनाव में जीत गये थे। हालाँकि उस समय प्रदेश में सपा की सरकार भी थी, फिर भी वे गठबंधन के चलते 2019 के चुनाव में भी आसानी से जीत सकते हैं। अन्य क्षेत्रों में गठबंधन की गांठ शिवपाल सिंह यादव तोड़ने में कामयाब रह सकते हैं। आजम खान को अखिलेश यादव संतुष्ट करने में सफल नहीं हो पाए तो, वे भी मशविराती काउंसिल के बहाने कई क्षेत्रों में नुकसान पहुंचा सकते हैं, वे पहले से तैयार मुस्लिम वर्ग की गठबंधन से दूर जाने में मदद कर सकते हैं। राजनैतिक दृष्टि से सबसे खराब हालात सपा और बसपा के लिए ही कहे जा सकते हैं। अगला चुनाव सपा-बसपा की जिंदगी निर्धारित करेगा। कांग्रेस उत्तर प्रदेश में मुस्लिम वर्ग को लुभाने में कामयाब हो गई तो, सपा-बसपा पुनः जमीन नहीं खोज पायेंगे और मुस्लिम वर्ग गठबंधन से जुड़ गया तो, चुनाव परिणाम जो भी हो पर, सपा-बसपा की जमीन बची रहेगी, इसीलिए कांग्रेस के बिना गठबंधन बनाने का निर्णय सही है लेकिन, इस गठबंधन को सर्वशक्तिमान नहीं कहा जा सकता, इसलिए उत्साहित होने की अवस्था नहीं हैं। (गौतम संदेश की खबरों से अपडेट रहने के लिए एंड्राइड एप अपने मोबाईल में इन्स्टॉल कर सकते हैं एवं गौतम संदेश को फेसबुक और ट्वीटर पर भी फ़ॉलो कर सकते हैं, साथ ही वीडियो देखने के लिए गौतम संदेश चैनल को सबस्क्राइब कर सकते हैं)

Jayant Chaudhary met Akhilesh Yadav, alliance will get respectable seats

Lucknow : In order to join Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party combined for Lok Sabha elections, National Lok Dal (RLD) Vice President Jayant Chaudhary met Akhilesh Yadav at SP headquarters in Lucknow today.

During the hour long talks between the two leaders, the issue of sharing of seats was shadowed. After the meeting, Jayant Chaudhary described the meeting as successful and said that the seats will be announced soon.

He said that good talks have been held with Akhilesh Yadav. Alliance will get respectable seats. Wait for further decisions.

Mr. Yadav will meet the BSP supremo Mayawati and form a seat for RLD in the coalition. Explain, SP and BSP will fight for 38-38 seats under the alliance.

Uttar Pradesh election is more like an Indian Movie with a lot of spices. Congress , SP and BJP are the leading parties contesting in this year's elections. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s victory will make him a contender for the Prime Minister Post, so this election is crucial for the CM who is also a saint from the Nath sect. There was speculation that CM Yogi would contest elections from Mathura or Ayodhya but finally BJP  decided to field him from the Gorakhpur (Urban) Assembly segment.

According to locals  CM Adityanath is contesting  from Gorakhpur as people whose houses and shops were demolished here due to infrastructure projects in the wake of the construction of the temple were opposing him. Gorakhpur is a favorable seat for him .

 

He is always considered as a firebrand hindutva leader who is vocal about his Hindu sentiments too. In his recent tweet  , he  slammed SP leader Akhilesh Yadav on his ‘Jinnah' comment and said, "Those who do not think Pakistan is an enemy, Jinnah seems to be a friend. What can be said about his education and vision? They call themselves socialists, but the truth is that 'gun culture' runs in their veins."

Even though the opposition is trying its best to defeat Yogi with their Manifesto and promises but he still remains a popular choice for the voters

The voters of Uttar Pradesh  witnessed many  violent incidents in the past few years . Most of the atrocities have happened on the Dalits, laborers and farmers in the Yogi ruled government.

The 2015 Dadri lynching  in which a mob of villagers attacked the home of 52-year-old Mohammed Akhlaq, killing him, for suspicion of slaughtering a cow. 2018 Bulandshehar mob violence .  Bulandshahr violence of 2018 in which a policeman was killed, the prime accused Yogesh Raj, has won the Uttar Pradesh panchayat election. In the recent  2021 Lakhimpur Kheri incident,  Union Minister of State Ajay Mishra’s son Ashish Mishra and the 12 other accused in the violence. Hindutva and religion is a close connection with Yogi Adityanath being the head of Gorakhpur temple.

When CM was  asked this question, he said Hinduphobia is conspiracy; India is secular because Hindus are in majority; everyone in UP is safe because Hindus are in majority; Hindu is not a caste, creed or religion; it's cultural identity:

Another emerging leader from the Dalit /Lower Caste society is Dalit-Bahujan rights activist Chandra shekar Azad, he also shares his name with Freedom Fighter Chandra shekahar Azad. He was also featured in time magazine in its annual list of 100 emerging leaders shaping the future. He can surely shape the future because of his will to represent the Dalit community. Mayawati who used to represent Dalit in Uttar Pradesh is not in active politics. She is not even contesting elections this year.

Azad Samaj Party chief said he was ready for head-to-head constituency fight with CM Adityanath .His seat share with Akhilesh Yadav fell through but there are chances for an alliance with Congress.

Yogi Adityanath always had support from Hindu community and Saints,Recently Swami Avimukteshwaranand was in news for his apparent reference to CM Adityanath, in his reply to a query on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's status as a saint and the mahant of Gorakhnath temple in Gorakhpur said that it is only possible in Islamic Khilafat system where religious head is also the king.

He said that a  saint cannot be a chief minister as after taking the oath of secularism as a constitutional dignitary, he cannot stay "religious", a prominent seer said here on Monday, in an apparent reference to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Many also blamed that congress leaders are joining BJP to get a party ticket. More than 12 people from congress have joined which includes some popular faces and ministers. Even SP leader Mulayam singh yadav’s daughter in law , Aparna Yadav also joined BJP. Talking to the media Yogi said ‘no one comes to BJP on the promise of a ticket. BJP is a political party, not a family-based Party. Everyone who comes to BJP is influenced by the Party's ideology’ .

Congress itself doesn't know what it wants, they don't have a CM face. Recently Priyanka Gandhi vadra casually asked, ``Do you see any other CM in UP other than me ? These casual statements are not suitable for matured politicians. They are not clear about what issues they want to fight on. Congress was also blamed for dynasty politics.  However BJP’s home-grown  Swami Prasad Maurya joined SP has shaken up the caste-based political narrative in poll-bound Uttar Pradesh, When he was in BJP his son and daughter were also given tickets from the same BJP party which denies Dynasty politics.

SP has attempted a grand alliance against BJP in 2019 as well but did not succeed. The election results will be adventurous in Uttar Pradesh this year, one has to wait and watch.
