Ginga 30 Days Challenge - Day 9:

I was originally just gonna go with Teru’s Dad (who I’ll refer to as “Tad” for simplicity’s sake), but then I remembered how much of a piece of shit Joe was, so I decided to make this a tie between the two. I hate both of these characters, and even moreso as parents, because Yoshi had the audacity to try and “redeem” them or show that they’re actually good and noble deep down, but sorry, Yoshi, I don’t hold any sympathy in my heart for someone who thinks smacking their child so hard that they bleed and beg for you to stop is ok.

Tad’s death is especially infuriating because Weed, who just has to be fucking right about everything, bitches and moans that Teru has to forgive Tad because “he’s his one and only father”. It’s so bad that even Kyoushiro buys into the bullshit and not only forces Teru to be near the scumbag who only decided to grow a pair because everyone was calling him out, but also making him actually think that his own piece of shit dad could ever possibly be good, despite murdering his brother, trading him and his remaining brothers for a damn boar, and possibly causing the death of his mate and not taking responsibility for it. Fuck Tad and fuck Weed.

Joe, meanwhile, is just a fucking prick from the moment he’s first introduced. Literally the only thing making him not at Weed-levels of hatred for me is the fact that he actually has the balls to fight, aka what a son of Gin should ACTUALLY be like. That doesn’t excuse him yelling at Koshiro and smacking him around for having the audacity to be nice and not know about his dad’s petty as fuck bullshit. To my knowledge, the physical abuse only lasts for that one scene, but I stand by the opinion that Joe doesn’t give a damn a Koshiro, only that he has a piece of his wife still with him. I also believe that Joe actually likes Orion more than Koshiro, considering the fact that Joe never spends time with him in GDWO, or thinks of him once.
