Inktober Day 4 Exotic

Finally finished these!!

They have a Mexica theme to them.

Xóchitl means flower, the glyph on her huipil (dress/blouse) says Xóchitl as well. She's a wildtype axolotl. Braids are anachronistic? but I thought she looked really cute with them. The hair cut is what young girls would wear. Her clothes are more on par with what noblewomen/aristocrats/the rich would wear due to the embroidery.

Huitzi means hummingbird, that's why I included one with her design. She's a chimera axolotl holding chocolate flowers (a type of cosmos flowers), and she's wearing a turquoise and gold necklace. I don't remember what the garment she's wearing over her huipil and cueitl (skirt). Her hair is another way young girls would wear their hair and it's dyed.

For those who check my twitter... some weeks ago I could move to a new pc. It was totally necessary, my old laptop couldn't stand anymore 😭 I've been testing the brushes and this idea came in my mind (Inspired by the song you will find at the end of the post)

I wanted to give Quetzalcoatl this solemn aura, and finally I could think about how his tilma would look (Considering his calico critter custom one). Thanks for the suggestion of a friend, the axolotl background was added! It's impressive the different species found in the wild (And most of them being so close to disappear is a shame)

Would Xolotl be one of these? Who knows 👀 I hope you like!
