sexy & spoiled | bodyguard male!characters x rich princess fem!reader | drabble (18+)
i wanted to be punished. soooooooo badlyyyyyyyyyy.
warnings. pure smut & very light religious themes (?)
"fuck!" you cursed sinfully through your lips. sinfully? you're not religious at all, but why does cursing sound so filthy through your ears? you weren't like this! ever since he came, your life changed instantly. in fact, it was his fault. for... placing you into this situation! his fault, not yours. but his! what's even worse is that he's fucking you in the guest room of your guest who's visiting for your father's birthday, which is now. he's fucking crazy. a damn sociopath! "focus on me, princess. look at me." your bodyguard grabs your jaw, big and rough hand, forcing your eyes on him as he thrusts roughly into you. a sharp gasp left your lips. your fucking pussy was so full of his cum, swollen and red, marked by dick as if he's trying to make sure you're fully his, and his alone. your lazy eyes stare at him, drunk on anger, lust, and heat. a smirk make its way on his bitten lips with dried blood, of course that was from you. but he's had enough of it with all your shopping, parties, travels, alcohols, and the men. no wonder, why all the past bodyguards resigned. and now, with that sultry, silky, tight, blood red dress with a high slit on your thigh, god, you were so desirable and sexy. but that fucking horrendous looking guest was savoring you with his eyes and that boiled his blood. were you fucking blind? that he is right here. if you still can't learn, then he should teach you a lesson. his cock was being sucked in your milky and warm walls as his pace never faltered. the tip of his dick hit your walls, perfectly and accurately as a bulge was forming on your tummy. a hiss left his pretty lips before a smirk.
"fuck princess, you take me so fucking good. this surely... won't be the last."

Erasermic (Aizawa Shouta/Hizashi Yamada) Big Rec Fic List for starters and not
Hello everyone! I’m fandomofhappiness, and today I’d love to share with Erasermic fans my silly reader’s selection of fanfics! I’m still looking for new stories. And this list will definitely update! I would especially like to give this rec to those who are just starting out. When I got into the fandom, I searched through all possible recommendation lists. I hope my own list will help new Erasermic fans and even those who have been here for a while.
I want to present you with the best of the best, which, according to my preferences in writing style, plot complexity and brilliance of the authors, amazed me during my time in the fandom. I won’t drag it out, let's go!
P.S.: This list doesn’t contain PWP stories, I’m not really here for smut but there are stories that contain 18+ chapters.
fandomofhappiness’s top five + 1 greatest Erasermic stories:
The Waters of Lethe by buffyaddict13 Married Erasermic, Case and Rescue Fic | 179,133 words
foh’s comment: A relatively new story with a mind-blowing plot. The fanfic has catastrophically few kudos, I consider it one of the most underrated. While rescuing a boy from weirdo dealers, Eraserhead is captured and placed with 10 other people who are going to be sold. Present Mic and a team of heroes plan to save the victims. But there is much more to save than it seems.
The Way I Behaved by ForTheWoolfy Villains & Heroes, Action & Adventure, Hurt/Comfort | 117270 words
foh’s comment: One of the most heartbreaking stories, so wonderful and beautifully written that I fucking choked on tears. Don't worry about the description, don't worry about Mic being the bad guy. I implore you to read this story, I would have been happy if someone had recommended it to me when I was starting out.
Nine Lives by machiroads Aizawa-centric, Hospitals and Injury Recovery, Post-Paranormal Liberation War Arc, Slow Burn | 149,559 words
foh’s comment: This fanfic was a great inspiration to me. It is a masterpiece of understanding the character, immersion in medicine, the unique intimacy between characters, friendship, respect - this is the beauty of this fanfic. The story of Aizawa's recovery after losing his leg and eye.
Present Mic's Totally Bullshit Life by Kyurilin Biography Fic, Slow Burn | 54,952 words
foh’s comment: One of the earliest stories I happen to read. I couldn't get through it the first time because it was too heavy for me. At the time I started reading, I didn't even know who Oboro is. Brilliant in its beauty and description of Present Mic’s character. This fic for those who are not afraid to break a heart and put it back together piece by piece.
And the Sky Wept by tiniest_hands_in_all_the_land Yamada-centric, Biography Fic, Slow Burn, Angst | 155,468 words
foh’s comment: A very detailed and truly heart-breaking story about two friends going through the grief of losing their best friend. Depicts moments of Yamada Hizashi’s life trying to cope with loss, while making an effort to remain his and Aizawa’s friendship. I cried a lot and was devastated. It’s not easy to read but it worth its happy ending.
Enchanted by MarziPanda95 Yamada-centric, Quirk Accident, Angst, Hurt/Comfort | 30,045 words
foh’s comment: This is one of the best Erasermic plot-stories! I warn you: there's heavy angst!Hizashi. Yamada gets hit with quirk that allows every single person victim faces to give them commands and the victim obeys them unquestioningly. All week Present Mic carries out other people's tasks and commands, until one day the worst happens.
No Quirks AU:
teach me a lesson (about you) by frootjuiceg Teachers and Schools, Campings, Getting Together | 18,565 words
foh’s comment: I love AUs where there are no quirks, like some modern AU. Yamada and Aizawa are just some normal HS teachers. Yamada tries to befriend with Aizawa flirting his way out to Shouta’s heart, but Aizawa thinks they have nothing in common until a school trip changes his mind.
By Moonlight Getting Together, From Strangers to Lovers, Secret Identity | 41189 words
foh’s comment: Hizashi works as a reporter for a gossip column. He decides to write about an avenger, not suspecting that his close colleague, with whom he begins to fall in love, is the avenger he writes about. This is SO interesting and romantic, please read it was wild.
Black Keys Make Music Too by RohanBerry
Aizawa-centric, Slow Burn, Widowhood, Hurt/Comfort | 65432 words
foh’s comment:
One of the best No Quirks!AU, felt so realistic when I first read it. An overwhelming and beautiful in its sadness, but there’s a happy ending. After death of his husband, Oboro, Aizawa doesn't live, rather he exists. And that was until the day he met his new neighbour who started to play piano at Sundays.
Hook, Line, and Sinker by KuriKuri Getting to Know Each Other, Mistaken Identity | 26,116 words
foh’s comment: A simple, slightly long, and a little confounded story about a teacher and a famous singer meeting online. Only the teacher doesn't think he's talking to a real celebrity.
Aizawa the Aristocat by Collateral_Beauty Cats AU (the Aristocats AU, your honour), Family Feels and Dynamics, Probably Unfinished Work | 53,810 words
foh’s comment: Wait! I could scare with ‘probably unfinished’, but please-please go read it. It’s so well-written and very interesting. Like it’s the living dream: Cat Aizawa adopting some kittens, rescues and action, humour and romance… CATS. Go on, support the dear author, maybe they will write more chapters.
Toil & Trouble by KuriKuri Getting To Know Each Other, Magic | 11248 words
foh’s comment: 10/10 cuteness, magic, and romance. Shota is a witch who can turn into a cat. Hizashi is his neighbour-siren with a very sunny balcony.
The Ascension of Sunlight by YamiHeart AU Space Deities, Hurt/Comfort | 5512 words
foh’s comment: A love story between the moon and the sunlight. A very beautiful and short story.
A Demonstration in Dueling by ByTheBi and GhostAlebrije Established Erasermic | 1,833 words
foh’s comment: So, I needed this particular AU. Go ahead, read about two flirting professors bastards dueling in front of students.
Necessity by Zombiesms Erasermic x Steven Universe Fusion AU | 614 words
In-Canon Verse Fics
Post-It Notes by StarBeeCreates Mutual Pining, Identity Reveal, Action and Case Fic | 53,139 words
foh’s comment: Flirty-ass villain Present Mic and pining Hero Eraserhead playing mouse-cat game revealing very-big plot. Go read it, it really worth every praise I give it.
Dirtied Black Heart by politelydeclined Married Erasermic, Character Study, Post-USJ, PTSD | 3,795 words
foh’s comment: A brilliant description of Aizawa's PTSD after USJ. It's works like this that make Erasermic worth reading. Author explores how USJ affected Shouta's personal life from different angles, very touching and encouraging story.
If At First You Don't Succeed... by MarziPanda95 Yamada-centric, Groundhog Day, Heavy Angst | 26,625 words
foh’s comment: I admit that I don't know if there have been any other Groundhog Day or time loop works, but I can tell you that this gem is one of them. I'll warn you right away: this is a very heavy story. But it's worth every single word.
Written Words by formerlyBravo Diaries and Letters Fic, High School Sweethearts, Secret Relationship | 10,949 words
foh’s comment: I love the diary concepts! Because it's like a little detective story, even if we know who it's about, the main characters don't. And it's a really cute story about how the girls of 1A found a diary, in which someone tells their love story.
Across Our Universe by LeafontheWinf2 Mutual Pining, Action/Adventure, fckn YEARNING | 32992 words
foh’s comment: It will be mostly a happy story about friendship and space adventures! A little angst, because that's always necessary, but overall it should be fun. And the two angsty boys will be sweet and romantic and will be together by the end. A MAJOR crossover with Doctor Who. One of the best stories I've ever read! Emotional, beautiful, very cleverly constructed. The Doctor is just awesome bean.
All of Me by ill go with that then (Linelenagain) Established Erasermic, Proposal Fic | 8,111 words
foh’s comment: Aizawa Shouta’s trying to propose for almost 8k words. It’s funny but emphasizes an important part in relationship – to talk to your partners.
Catastrophes and Companions by estelraca Aizawa-centric, Cats | 15,685 words
foh’s comment: This story felt very differently when I first read it. In most stories, Aizawa already has cats, sometimes even more than one. This fanfic attracted me because Aizawa wants to get a cat so much, but he always makes a responsible decision not to. The story is about the importance of responsibility to our little friends, about dreams, unfulfilled and fulfilled.
Improbable Botany 101 by Tierfal Yamada-centric, Hanahaki Disease | 46,486 words
foh’s comment: One of the best Erasermic fanfics I've ever had the honour of reading. The author's style is so melodious, so gentle and soft. It seemed a bit drawn out, but I was happy from start to finish. My favourite part is the radio show.
Just a Push by Say_Jay Teenage Fic, Trainings | 4,940 words
foh’s comment: A beautiful and incredible story from Say_Jay about two boys training together to be the best. I really like how the boys' motives and actions are described. The text is very light but intriguing. It's a pleasure to read.
on air by lonelydoctors Marriage Proposal, Fluff | 2,846 words
foh’s comment: I'm really trying to pick more realistic and heavy works to read! I do really try! But I'm just a human, and forgive my silly heart, but I can't pass by such a frank writing! I can't. So forgive my sentimentality. Shouta proposes Hizashi during his show.
look after you by dizzyingly_dreamy Family Feels and Dynamics, Angst and Fluff | 10,512 words
foh’s comment: Classic EraserMic+Shinsou Family fanfic, but with a nice touch of deep analysis from the author. Though you may find the idea not really original, it has really good points on Aizawa’s character, you just can’t go away from this story before you finish reading.
Grounded by thechaoscryptid Aizawa-centric, Hurt/Comfort, Mental Health Issues | 2,197 words
foh’s comment: A pictorial text-study of character’s dissociation. I would call it a cruel beauty of words.
Year by Year (two-shot series) by ill go with that then (Linelenagain) Getting Together, High School Sweethearts | 12,444 words
foh’s comment: Written before Shirakumo appeared in canon! One of the cutest things I've ever read. Don't get me wrong, I don't like over-the-top fluff either - I'm all for realism! But... this is irresistible. Just read it. How One Training Session Leads to Friendship, Love, and Mutual Help.
Change Comes by fecklessphilanderer Aizawa-centric, Character Study, Angst, Post-USJ | 4252 words
foh’s comment: For these little gems that I love fanfiction. The work isn't long, but it covers an interesting topic. Shouta's face changes slightly after plastic surgery after USJ attack. He doesn't notice it until it's specifically pointed out. This work is wholesome and absolutely brilliant.
“Promise.” by Lingxz After-UA, Grief, Miscommunication | 7,793 words
foh’s comment: This isn’t really Erasermic romance story but it studies their relationship on the deep level, discovering their lives after losing Oboro. No more words, it’s very sad, but it’s hopeful.
Tattletale and The Path We Chose by LipstickVenom AU! Present Mic is Vigilante, Angst and Action | sum. ~250k words
foh’s comment: Initially I wanted to list them separately, but calling them series seemed wrong. They flow smoothly into each other, if the author had not chosen to separate them, it would have been a full-fledged big story of 250k+ words.
In my opinion, another underrated work on these two. A very plausible explanation of the relationship. Slow-burn, but not so slow to get bored. I love this work for the nakedness of feelings, for the plausibility of emotion. Plot is driving and interesting to catch on, so – go on!
Family Ties (series) by LipstickVenom Hurt/Comfort, Biography Fic, Family | 12975 words
foh’s comment: A great two-fic series exploring Shouta's household and past. From one of my favorite authors.
Ledges. by sunkensubtext Mutual Pining, Weddings | 16592 words
foh’s comment: A great love story in the good old mutual pining style. Shouta's family is here! And they are nice people. Shouta's older sister is getting married in America, Shota takes Hizashi with him to translate. Two fools try to hide that they have feelings.
Finding Safety in the Mountains by ravyn_sinclai Different Meeting AU, Getting to Know Each Other, Hurt/Comfort | 24298 words
foh’s comment: Very beautiful and relatively fresh story! In this story, Yamada and Aizawa are not heroes, but ordinary people trying to find salvation in a small village and live a quiet peaceful life. I repeat, everything in this fanfic is beautiful: from the description of the nature and town to the plot. Just read it!
Still Here by buffyaddict13 Pre-Relationship, Character Study, Angst, Spoilers to last chapters | 6201 words
foh’s comment: It was very hard to read even though it catches on manga and anime scenes. This work studies deeply Aizawa and Yamada feelings and dealing with the death of Oboro. If you really like Rooftop Trio storyline you’ll be very involved. I respect everything that buffyaddict13 writes, so your turn to read it.
when you cried, I learned what helplessness tastes like. because all I could do was swallow by ethereal_catharsis Getting Together, Abusive Relationships, Heavy Hurt/Comfort | 7485 words
foh’s comment: Hizashi has an abusive boyfriend, his friends are very worried. And Shouta heavily caring for him worries more than anybody. If abusive relationships triggers you please be aware, this shit is sick. I wanted to read something like this because this theme is important to be known and discussed.
Reasons by Nobody has no body Aizawa-centric, First Meeting, Action | 6k+ words
foh’s comment: Written pre-Oboro. The story of how Shouta entered the first year of the hero academy, met Hizashi, and survived the fight with the villain. Very detailed and analyzing fic.
Present Mic is Civilian AU
A Few Disasters Short by Robbirdthe8th (FictionalFeather) Different Meeting AU, Getting Together, Pining | 36,781 words
foh’s comment: Hizashi is a famous musician who happens to visit a cat cafe owned by Aizawa and his small family. Hizashi comes there for inspiration and a desire to get to find out more about the mysterious owner of the cafe. A wonderful romantic story, with some vigilante!Shinsou and precious Eri.
missing out (on you) by White Different Meeting AU, Getting to Know Each Other | 23,456 words
foh’s comment: An interesting and romantic take on what would happen if Yamada wasn't a hero, but a simple radio host who encountered the underground hero Aizawa. A simple but captivating story.
Musutafu Nights: Track 1 by ByTheBi Different Meeting AU, Getting to Know Each Other | 1,844 words
foh’s comment: Short but cute. This civllian!AU has grown on me.
The Waiting Area by MarziPanda95 Hospitals, Getting Together | 23,158 words
foh’s comment: If you ever watched ‘Just like Heaven’ (a 2005 film), you may find some references. It’s romantic and a little bit silly, but somehow I grew on it. Hizashi here is so clever and so lovely.
Quirk Accident Trope:
deep roots do not wither by Ink_On_Parchment Mutual Pining, Flower Language | 12,018 words
foh’s comment: Mic gets hit with some child’s innocent quirk that makes a crown of flowers that indicates his deep feelings. If you like the language of flowers - this is the work for you. A beautiful and interesting approach to this trope.
Running to Stand Still by Kiyoko_Michi Aizawa-centric, Non-Sexual De-Aging of Character, Secret Identity | 42,604 words
foh’s comment: Aizawa gets hit with age-regression quirk that causes him to forget almost fifteen years of his past. He’s struggling to find out what is going on. When I started this rec list I marked this work as ‘very close to canon, could’ve been a part of it even’. I meant that it’s very well written, go read.
Cat-sualty by LowlyWriter Animal Transformation, Married Erasermic | 12,360 words
foh’s comment: Catzawa! You can't miss the well-written story of Shouta Aizawa's transformation into a cat.
Authors Who Made Erasermic Special For Thousands People
deafmic
foh’s comment: In my opinion, deafmic is the foundation-stone of Erasermic fanfiction. If you just start with Erasermic, please go check deafmic’s works. I cannot pick one of them, they are all good, interesting, driving, experimental – everything!
Say_Jay
foh’s comment: Jay is a legend who has written many narrative, action and experimental works. Works to read and reread forever.
YamiHeart
foh’s comment: Yami has created many great and interesting aus and in-canonverse stories that any of us, Erasermic fans, love and deeply care about. You will never get bored with the imagination of this author!
KuriKuri
foh’s comment: KuriKuri is another legendary author who you can get a ton of No Qurks!AU from. All of this author's stories are rated very highly and each one definitely deserves it.
That is all for now. Thank you for checking out my recomendation list. All of these authors are sunshines and great peope who put their souls and hearts into this fandom. After reading these stories, please give them kudos and write your comments. My List will be continued with Aizawa & Shinsou father-son, Erasermic Family recomendation list soon!

Bakugou x reader, experimenting with writing this au, might continue it depending on the brainrot.
cw: death, descriptions of death, silly
Heavily heavilyy inspired by the manga Re-Living My Life with a Boyfriend Who Doesn't Remember Me
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
"Stay with me."
Katsuki's hand winds around your waist pulling you closer to him.
"Stay with me for the rest of the night."
A warm breeze blows through the leaves of the courtyard trees, and shadows of leaves dance across his face. Spring is here, and that means graduation is right around the corner.
"Katsuki, I-"
His lips interrupt yours as he kisses you. A dance of need and passion; his hands go to your neck, angling your head for a deeper kiss.
He steals the breath from your lungs as if there is nothing easier in this world for him to do.
You could die happily in this very moment as long as he never lets you go.
Smiling, you pull away, and his lips chase you. You grant him one more kiss before pulling away again, this time spinning just out of his reach.
"I would love nothing more than to continue, but I have to go to the supplemental class Aizawa is teaching, or I won't graduate."
His shoulders slump, "You can't skip, just this once?"
You raise your eyebrows, "Is Bakugou Katsuki asking me to skip a class?"
He rolls his eyes and looks away from you, giving you a perfect angle of his lower lip puff out in annoyance, but his hand reaches for yours. His heart shows you his true colors.
"I want to talk about what happens after we graduate..."
It's hard to hide the smile on your face, "We will, tonight I promise. But first, I have to actually graduate."
His eyes turn back to you, and his thumb draws circles on the back of your palm.
There's something swirling in his mind, a worry that you don't know how to quench, until he blinks it away, banishing it from his mind.
"Find me right after, okay?"
You nod quickly, "Right after, I promise."
His hand, still holding yours, pulls you into his embrace. His strong arms wrap around you, squeezing you so tightly you can barely use your arms to hug him back.
"I'll be in the lounge in the west wing waiting." He whispers, kissing your hairline.
He releases you from his hug prison, his fingertips trace the length of your arm until his fingers lock with yours again.
Your heart thumps in your chest. He's being so clingy you're going to explode.
"Katsuki, is there-"
Across the courtyard, the bell tower strikes four. The loud chimes echo in your ear as you curse. "Shit, we'll talk tonight. I promise."
You quickly gather your bag from the base of the tree and run back to Bakugou for another kiss.
"The west lounge, I won't forget."
"You better not." He says begrudgingly, but with a small smile in the corner of his pout.
You just one more smqll kiss and then run to Mr. Aizawa's lesson.
▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎
Oh it's so late, I hope Katsuki's not worried.
Your boots splash through puddles as you try to dodge the large raindrops.
You make it to the west wing and dry yourself off as you climb the stairs with haste in your step.
The lounge door opens with a small creak, and your lungs are instantly filled with warmth.
The lounge is a medium-sized room with tables lining the walls and a hearth directly opposite the door with two lounging chairs in front of it.
The room is empty except for the small spikes of blonde you can see poking up from the lounging chairs.
You set your things down and walk around the chair, ready to be met with an annoyed but relieved gaze, but instead, his eyes are closed, and his head rests against the back of the chair.
He fell asleep waiting for you. Your heart nearly grows two sizes, and you're mentally screaming your love for him over and over again.
You sit down on the floor next to his leg and rest your head against his thigh.
You're expecting his usual warmth to reach you, to seep into your bones and wash away all your worries, but instead, you're met with cold.
Lightning flashes through the window, and the crack of the thunder jumpstarts your anxiety.
"Katsuki?"
You pick your head up, scanning his body for any type of movement.
"Katsuki?!"
You rush to check his chest, his heart, and it's silent. Cold.
You panic. How? Adrenaline courses through you, and you carefully pull your lover from his chair to the floor.
You scream for help as you unbutton his shirt, looking for any signs of trauma or blood.
"Please, please," you beg, your own lungs struggling to take in enough air.
"Someone! Help him!"
Lightning flashes again, the bright light illuminating his body, and sears the macabre scene into your memory.
"Help!" You shout again before a cough takes hold of you, and you clutch your throat. Your lungs are filling with fire.
Your vision starts to blur, no, no, no.
You try to yell, to scream, but no sound comes out.
I have to save him... I have to...
You look to the door, and back to Katsuki.
Please.
You try to crawl, but your arms can't support the weight.
Please.
I have to save him.
Thunder booms as your eyes close.
Please.
You stretch your hand out to reach Katsuki one last time.
Please.
A shock pierces through you, and then the world fades to black.
▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎
Gasping for air, you bolt upright.
What was that? A dream? That was way too real to be just a dream. I was in love, almost graduated... until... oh my god.
You push your mind to remember every detail, pulling every memory from a fog so that you won't forget.
Katsuki...
Your heart yearns for him. Is he alive? Where is he?
And for that matter, where are you?
You look around the room and the realizationshocks you. No... no way.
You get out of bed, run to the mirror in the corner of the room, and look at your reflection.
This can not be happening. You pinch your cheeks, no. You slap your cheeks, absolutely not.
And then there's a knock on your door calling your name, "Are you going to spend your tenth birthday in your room? Come out for breakfast!"
I went back in time?!
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
a/n: thanks for reading!! I've had this stuck in my head for days and had to get it out. Def go check out the original book if you're craving more of this trope. I might write more because I am living for it. If I do write more I'll probably add more details about the setting but I think this is a good start!

The Cold Hands Of Death
SUMMARY the USJ, a place meant to teach you rescue and recovery quickly becomes a place of pain, suffering, and loss.
CONTENT WARNINGS violence, graphic descriptions of violence, descriptions of injuries, kidnapping, angst, and grief. For the sake of the series (and my conscience), all characters are aged up while still following the plot of MHA. In other words, think of UA as a college rather a high school.
AUTHORS NOTE for those of you who have watched the anime, you may know that this isn't exactly how the USJ battle went down. I have taken some creative liberties for the sake of the story and considering the fact that they're all college-age in this story, it makes more sense that Aizawa would be more lenient with adults joining the fight than children.
SERIES MASTERLIST
It’s been weeks since you’ve started attending UA, and you can confidently say that you are part of a group of friends. Even as a child, it was just you and Tenko, as neither of you were particularly outgoing, and many kids tended to stay away from Tenko naturally. You thought it might be because of his constant itching, but it had never bothered you before, so you didn’t quite understand why anyone else would be bothered by it.
Your time at UA had brought new connections. During your first days, you and Todoroki got particularly close through your daily lunch meetups, learning more about each other until you were familiar enough to be on a first-name basis. Shoto was stoic and a little aloof, sure, but he carried so much pain that it seemed to physically weigh him down. He was an enigma to you, one that you felt a primal urge to uncover.
Today was a somewhat normal school day for your class. You went through your common core subjects before meeting with All Might for hero training. However, instead of meeting with the renowned hero, your class was confronted by your homeroom teacher, Mr. Aizawa, who had news of rescue training that would be held in the USJ building with Pro Hero Thirteen, known for their search and rescue capabilities. The class buzzed with excitement, eager to show off their abilities and don their hero costumes again.
You found yourself seated next to Todoroki on the bus, behind Mina and Aoyama, and across from Midoriya and Tsu. The bus hummed with chatter and the anticipation of the upcoming training.
“How are you feeling about natural disaster training?” you asked your new friend—or at least you thought you were friends. Neither of you had really confirmed it, so you were just going with the flow.
Todoroki turned his gaze to you, his mismatched eyes reflecting a moment of contemplation. "It's important," he finally said, his voice measured. "Disasters are unpredictable, and being prepared is essential for a hero."
You nodded, appreciating his straightforwardness. "True. I think it's going to be intense, but it's also a good opportunity to see how we handle real-life scenarios."
He gave a slight nod, his expression softening just a bit. "It will be a challenge, but that's why we're here, right? To become the best heroes we can be."
You nod, choosing not to continue the conversation as you get lost in your own thoughts. Your brows furrow as your mind strays back to Tenko once again. Your heart aches as you think about that night—the night when everything changed. The natural disasters you might face today could resemble that night: crumbled buildings, lost families. You couldn't afford to get lost in flashbacks and fail the people you had been working so hard to impress.
You had even convinced Aizawa to work with you on the side, helping you adapt your ability in the same way he had seen his friend, whom you knew as Present Mic, do. From those lessons, you had learned that your voice was more effective from a distance, making your close combat skills weak and difficult to improve. Your ability might even be useless against villains who could use their quirks during close combat. Aizawa had discussed finding you a tool, similar to his own, to give you an edge in those situations. You had agreed, and since then, you had been waiting for him to bring something to teach you during your one-on-one sessions.
Before long, the bus came to a stop outside the USJ building. Everyone bumped and pushed their way out in excitement. You were grateful for Todoroki, who kept a firm and respectful hand on your side to keep you from falling after watching Midoriya trip. Once everyone was out, Thirteen started her introduction, sharing some helpful words of encouragement along with her instructions. During the mini lecture, Aizawa gave you a look that had you walking off to the side toward the back of the bus, where he met you.
“I thought of something that I could show you to use during close combat scenarios,” he spoke quietly, his hair hiding the blush of embarrassment he was angrily trying to suppress.
“What?” you asked hopefully, your eyes alight with excitement.
In place of a response, Aizawa fiddled with his “scarf,” holding a part of it in his hand. Your eyes widened in realization, a small gasp escaping your lips. “Your scarf?” you asked softly.
“It would make the most sense. I’m the only other person proficient in it, so I’ll be able to teach you firsthand, and I’m sure I could convince the support course to make a close replica of mine. It’s just a thought. If you don’t want to—”
“No!” you quickly interrupted. “T-that would be amazing! Thank you, sensei.” You bowed, your voice holding nothing but reverence and deep gratitude.
Aizawa simply grunted and nodded in response, gesturing for you to rejoin your class, which was walking toward their assigned areas. Suddenly, a low rumbling sound echoed through the chamber, and the air began to warp and distort at the central plaza. Everyone’s attention snapped to the source, eyes widening in shock and confusion. Dark, swirling portals began to materialize, and from them, figures emerged—villains, dozens of them, led by a menacing man with hands covering his body and face.
Aizawa’s voice cut through the rising panic. “Villains! Everyone, stay together and be ready to fight!”
You exchanged a quick glance with Todoroki. His expression was unreadable, but his eyes burned with a fierce determination. He stepped forward slightly, placing himself protectively between you and the approaching villains.
“This is not a drill,” he said, his voice calm but firm. “We need to stay focused.”
You nodded, feeling a surge of resolve. The training you had undergone with Aizawa and the countless hours of practice flashed through your mind. You had worked too hard to falter now.
As the villains advanced, chaos erupted. Aizawa launched himself at the enemies, his scarf whipping through the air as he activated his Quirk to nullify their powers. Thirteen moved to defend the students, using her Black Hole Quirk to suck in and disintegrate debris and attackers alike.
Todoroki’s voice brought you back to the immediate danger. “We need to secure a safe position and plan our counterattack,” he said, his tone steady.
You nodded again, steeling yourself. “Right. I’ll follow your lead.”
Without hesitation, Todoroki extended his right hand, creating a massive wall of ice that blocked the villains’ path, buying you and your classmates precious time. He then turned to you, his eyes intense.
“Use your voice to disrupt their coordination,” he instructed. “We need every advantage we can get.”
You took a deep breath, your heart pounding. Channeling the training you had received, you began to sing, your voice rising and falling in pitch and frequency. The sound waves rippled through the air, causing the villains to stumble and clutch their heads in confusion and pain. Your quirk, Dissonance, was doing its job, disrupting their thoughts and actions.
Todoroki watched your back, ensuring no enemy could approach unnoticed. He glanced at you, admiration flickering in his eyes for a moment before he turned his attention back to the battle. “Good job. Keep it up,” he said, his voice a steady anchor amidst the chaos.
The other students, inspired by the leadership and bravery of their peers, joined the fray. Midoriya charged forward with his powerful punches, while Bakugo’s explosive attacks sent shockwaves through the enemy ranks. Mina’s acid melted obstacles in your path, and Tsu used her agility to maneuver around the battlefield, providing support where needed.
Despite the overwhelming odds, you and your classmates held your ground. Todoroki continued to create barriers and launch strategic attacks, his ice abilities devastating the enemy forces. You maintained your song, each note a weapon in the battle, your throat starting to ache from the strain but your determination unwavering.
As the battle raged on, you and Todoroki found yourselves back-to-back, surrounded by a group of particularly tenacious villains. “Ready?” he asked, glancing over his shoulder at you.
“Always,” you replied, your voice hoarse but resolute.
With a nod, Todoroki unleashed a torrent of ice, and you sang a powerful, disorienting note, the combined force of your quirks driving the villains back. For a moment, amidst the chaos and the danger, you felt a surge of pride and unity. Here, in the heart of the battle, you were not alone. You had friends, allies, and the strength to face whatever came your way.
The chaotic skirmish at the USJ escalated quickly, sending shockwaves through your class as villains poured through the portals. Amid the frenzy, the group was split apart, each student forced to confront threats on their own. You found yourself separated from Todoroki and the others, dodging attacks and desperately trying to regroup.
Suddenly, a massive figure emerged from the chaos—a Nomu, its grotesque appearance and monstrous strength making it a formidable opponent. Before you could react, its powerful grip closed around you, lifting you off your feet and carrying you toward the center of the battle.
Panic gripped you as you struggled against the Nomu’s grasp, trying to break free. Through the haze of fear, you caught glimpses of your classmates fighting valiantly, their shouts and powers blending into a chaotic symphony of battle.
As the Nomu carried you closer to the heart of the villain’s side, a figure stepped forward—a man with disheveled hair and a hauntingly familiar air. His gaze locked onto you with chilling recognition, his lips curling into a twisted grin.
“Well, well, what do we have here?” Shigaraki’s voice sent a chill down your spine, but his face triggered no recognition in your mind. You were too focused on the immediate danger to grasp the significance of the encounter.
Your heart pounded as Shigaraki’s gloved hand reached out, his expression a mix of amusement and malice. “You look lost,” he taunted, his voice low and mocking.
Struggling against the Nomu’s iron grip, you managed to summon enough strength to shout for help, hoping your quirk might have any effect on the monster squeezing the life out of you. But the chaos of battle drowned out your voice to anyone nearby, the Nomu continuing to hold you in a crushing grip unaffected by your qurik.
Shigaraki leaned closer, his eyes narrowing with predatory interest. “Don’t worry,” he whispered, his breath chilling against your ear. “I’ll make sure you remember me.”
His words sent a shiver down your spine, but your mind raced with thoughts of survival, focusing on escaping rather than on the cryptic threat of the villain before you.
The USJ building reverberated with the chaos of battle as heroes and villains clashed in a cataclysmic struggle. Ida escaping had led to All Might's arrival which had initially brought a surge of hope, his towering form casting a momentary calm over the frantic scene. But that calm was shattered as the Nomu, a grotesque amalgamation of muscle and malice, set you down beside Shigaraki and burst into the central plaza, its very presence sending a chill down your spine.
All Might was quick to approach Shigaraki and the Nomu who had achieved its mission in grabbing Aizawa. You let out a gut wrenching scream as you watched your beloved teachers face get pummeled into the concrete, collapsing to the ground in sobs at your failure. All Might had been too late in his arrival, only approaching after Aizawa’s defeat.
“You were a secondary trophy among my mission to defeat the final boss, I am so glad he finally decided to show,” his voice was gratingly calm as he reached out a hand to grip your arm. “Make a move to leave my side and I will kill you,” he warned, four slim fingers wrapping around your bicep, sending a fridgid shiver down your spine in response. “I wasn’t expecting to find your name among those enrolled in the hero program, though any flashes of you always include you talking about heroics, so I shouldn’t be that surprised.”
Your heart sank at his words, tears threatening to spill down your cheeks from fear, your brows furrowed in confusion at his words. The only person you shared dreams of heroics with was Tenko and he was dead, so how the hell did this villian know about it?
“Unhand my student, villian!” All Might called, his smile beaming as he looked to you, “stay strong, kid,” he nodded purposefully.
You turned your head to meet the wide, fearful eyes of your classmates as they watched you closely. It was Todoroki’s eyes that caught yours, holding your gaze as you both silently communicated, his reserve strengthening you from afar. You weren’t sure of the villians quirk, but you knew it activated when he touched something with all five fingers, so you obeyed, not wanting to test your luck.
In the midst of your silent moment with Todoroki, the villian had send that huge beast called the Nomu after All Might, the two of them matched punch for punch in a battle of sheer strength. Most of your classmates had collected Aizawa and stood by the doors to the exit with the injured thirteen as well, leaving only Midoriya, Bakugou, and Todoroki to whitness the big battle first hand with you. The portal guy had seemed to appear at the villians side, encouraging him to return to his base with you when the fight between the Nomu and All Might seemed to be swaying in the winning direction of your teacher.
The villian argued a while, but was eventually convinced, tugging you along with him as a portal appeared at his side.
Panic surged through you as you began to fight against his grip. “No!” you cried out, voice barely audible over the battle, but seemingly to catch Shoto’s attention, his heterochomic eyes widening when he realized the situation.
As if acting on fear alone, he shot a powerful wave of freezing ice at Shigaraki, shouting at you to “hold on!” as the ice berg shot rapidly across the battlefeild, growing in size, but untimately grumbling when the villian raised his hand, touching it and watching it simply collapse into ash.
"Shoto!" you shouted, your voice raw with desperation as you struggled against his hold. But Shigaraki's grip remained firm, his expression a mix of determination and a haunting sadness that you couldn't comprehend amidst the chaos and the weightless feeling of the portal surrounding you.
Meanwhile, All Might's battle with the Nomu reached its climax, the sound of thunderous blows echoing through the chamber. With a final, devastating punch, All Might defeated the monstrous villain, his victory resonating through the building as he stood triumphant amidst the wreckage.
As the dust settled and the heroes began to regroup, the gravity of what had transpired sank in. Todoroki stood frozen in place, guilt and frustration etched on his face as he realized he had been unable to save you. The sense of failure weighed heavily on him, a stark reminder of the harsh realities of heroism.
For you, caught in the clutches of Shigaraki and thrust into a world of uncertainty, questions lingered. Who was this man who claimed to remember you? And what did his cryptic words mean for your future? As you were whisked away into the unknown, the events of that fateful day at the USJ left an indelible mark on your journey as a hero in training.

Beetober 2024 Day 1 - Raise a toast
It's the most wonderful time of the year! Like always, the prompt for the day is the title of the fic and we're starting off with a real banger, because it's 7k long, so if you want to read it on AO3 you can do it here.
Hitoshi is aware of the glances he gets throughout the day. It’s unavoidable with the purple bruise right there on his chin, but it’s not as if he could have hid that. His foster father really fucked up, when he socked him straight in the face, and there’s only so much make-up can do, Hitoshi learned that by now.
At least it’s not his eye, Hitoshi thinks as he prods the bruise, because he knows from experience that trying to read along with his teachers with a swollen eye always gives him headaches and makes him nauseous.
The bruise on the chin he can totally take. It’s not as if he has anything to eat for lunch anyway, so there’s not even a chance of making it worse by chewing.
Predictably, no one asks him about it. It’s not as if he’s on speaking terms with any of his classmates either, so of course no one would bring up the glaring red flag.
A small part of Hitoshi had hoped that maybe U.A. and all the aspiring heroes going there would be different, but it was of course foolish of him to hope. Not even the established heroes had offered their help and with All Might teaching as well now, it shouldn’t be that much of a surprise. Hitoshi had learned his lesson in that regard early.
Especially when he saw how they treated the winner of the Sports Festival. Yeah, Hitoshi is no longer holding out hope that the teachers here are any different than what he is used to.
Still, he can’t deny that it stings when not even Present Mic does more than give him a concerned glance when he comes in for their English lesson. He doesn’t even ask Hitoshi to stay after class. He doesn’t even pretend to want to know, doesn’t even take time to alleviate his consciousness by asking a question he doesn’t really want the answer to.
It’s always the same, in the end, no matter how hard Hitoshi wishes it were different.
But the sting of disappointment from Present Mic’s lack of a reaction shows him that there’s no way he’ll be able to take Aizawa’s indifference either. Hitoshi can admit that he admires the man more than he probably should, given everything and to imagine that he’ll have the same indifferent reaction to Hitoshi’s bruises as everyone else makes him want to throw up and hide away for the rest of his life. At least Mic-sensei has an excuse. He teaches every single class in this school. Aizawa took him on as his personal student.
If even Aizawa thinks it’s not worth investigating then there really is no hope left for Hitoshi and he’s not ready to face that reality.
Still, cancelling training is out of the question, because Hitoshi knows from experience that Aizawa will still hunt him down should he deem his excuse unacceptable and Hitoshi would really rather get it over with already.
So he’s at the gym at exactly the same time as always, carefully stretching his sore muscles. He prefers it when the soreness comes from a good sparring session rather than a beating, but beggars can’t be choosers, Hitoshi bitterly thinks, and when a sharp pain shoots up his side he wonders how he’s even going to survive today’s training session.
The door to the gym opens again before Hitoshi can find an answer to that and he has to admit that he did not expect Aizawa to be accompanied by Present Mic today. Normally Aizawa warns him before he brings the other teacher with him, but clearly this day is just going to fuck Hitoshi over on all fronts.
The pair is silent as they approach Hitoshi, which makes the fine hair at the back of his neck prickle uncomfortably, and he almost wants to squirm under their gazes, but he forces himself to keep still.
Wouldn’t want to give them any reason to add to the colourful painting on his body, after all.
“What happened there?” Aizawa asks once he and Present Mic come to a stop in front of Hitoshi and he taps his chin as if there could be any misunderstanding in what he means.
Hitoshi shrugs.
“Nothing.”
“Doesn’t look like nothing, little listener,” Present Mic chimes in and oh great, now he cares.
“Yeah, well,” Hitoshi shrugs in a ‘what can you do’ kind of gesture and it only prompts both men to narrow their eyes at him.
Aizawa regards him almost clinically for a moment before Present Mic elbows him in the side. They exchange glances, clearly having an entire silent conversation, before their eyes slide back to Hitoshi.
“Are you safe at home?” Aizawa wants to know, cutting right to the chase and Hitoshi can’t help himself, he lets out a snort.
“What is that supposed to mean?” Present Mic asks, clearly taken aback by Hitoshi’s reaction and fine, this is it then.
At least they cared enough to ask, he reminds himself, even if this is where their interest ends. But he has their attention now, however briefly, and so he’s going to lay himself bare once more, only to have all his hope crushed to dust when nothing happens, again. It’s not the first time he dances this particular dance with teachers, after all.
“It means that between the starvation, the physical and psychological abuse, being locked into my room or a closet or out of the house entirely and the muzzle, there really is not enough time to feel safe at home,” he mockingly says and he takes a sick sense of satisfaction in the surprised gasp Present Mic lets out.
“How long has this been going on?” Aizawa demands to know, his eyes burning with anger and Hitoshi wonders what he could possibly be upset about. They were the ones asking, Hitoshi is only giving an honest answer.
“My parents gave me up when I was four,” Hitoshi gives back because even though he doesn’t quite remember the first few homes he was sent to, he can’t remember ever being without this dread filling him up whole, so it must have started pretty early.
Maybe even with his birth parents, who knows.
“And you never—why didn’t you say something?” Present Mic almost desperately asks him and now that makes Hitoshi laugh.
“Right,” he finally says, still catching his breath and determinedly not noticing the horrified looks on his teacher’s faces. “Because between your treatment of Bakugo at the Sports Festival and All Might teaching here I was real desperate to bring attention to myself,” he spits out and he doesn’t even bother to mention that teachers in general are really not all that trustworthy.
At least not when it comes to him. These two are not the first ones who let him down after all. Far from it, actually.
“Bakugo?” Present Mic looks honestly confused and Hitoshi has to wonder just how good an actor he is to sell that so convincingly.
“What happened with Bakugo at the festival?” Aizawa asks when Hitoshi doesn’t speak again and now this is just some kind of new cruelty he wasn’t quite prepared for.
Hitoshi saw it happen; he knows what his punishment will be if he makes any of the teachers mad at him, but making him say it, too, is just—cruel.
“You were there,” he vaguely says, because even the memory makes it hard to breathe, bringing the phantom imprint of his own muzzle back and he reflexively raises a hand to touch his lips, making sure that nothing’s on his face.
“Humour us,” Aizawa shortly says and Hitoshi glares at him, deciding to latch onto that anger, rather than give in to his fear.
“Fine,” he snappishly says, pretending that the way his breath comes faster now has nothing to do with the impending panic attack and is just due to his anger. “He was chained to the podium when he didn’t want to accept his medal, quirk supressing cuffs on his hands and a fucking muzzle on his face to keep him quiet. I know what happens if I mess up, there’s no need for you to make sure.”
“They did what?” Present Mic yells out, his quirk slipping in and rattling Hitoshi’s teeth.
“Who was there when that happened?” Aizawa demands to know after sending Present Mic a sharp glare and Hitoshi shrugs.
“Midnight, Cementoss and All Might. Because of course All Might would be there,” Hitoshi mumbles at the end, since it’s not as if he expected any different from him but it only makes Aizawa frown.
“What do you mean by that? You mentioned him before, too. Why?”
Hitoshi just opened his mouth when Present Mic cuts him right off, an almost desperate “Why did you never ask for help?” leaving him and Hitoshi huffs out a breath.
“Yeah, right, because that needs to be my fault, too, doesn’t it? Well, I asked. I begged. I told teachers and my social workers and the police and everyone was real sympathetic, right until they learned about my quirk. And let me tell you, you kinda lose courage when the literal symbol of peace tells a desperate and beaten eleven-year-old that maybe, if it puts the people around you at ease, wearing a muzzle is simply what you have to do, you know?” Hitoshi spits out and watches with satisfaction how all the blood drains out of Present Mic’s face.
It’s a hollow victory, seeing him like that, but Hitoshi learned to take what he can get.
It’s all kind of fun, right until Aizawa flares his quirk just as Present Mic is about to speak and sternly tells him “Do not say a word right now.”
Present Mic closes his mouth with an audible click and Hitoshi didn’t know it would feel like this.
Aizawa has never been scared of his quirk, always encouraged Hitoshi to ask questions and answering them without hesitation and to see this now, to have all that trust thrown right into his face, hurts worse than Hitoshi expected it to.
“Go take a walk,” Aizawa orders Present Mic, who turns around on his heels without a look back and leaves the gym as silently as he entered it.
He almost gentle klick of the door makes Hitoshi flinch as if someone raised a fist at him and he feels vaguely like throwing up.
“I wouldn’t,” Hitoshi whispers, because for all that he never truly expects anything else, he still feels the almost desperate need to defend himself. “I never used my quirk without permission before, even though I want to.”
It would make things easier, Hitoshi knows that. He could order his foster parents to let him into the house instead of locking him out in the middle of winter. He could order them to give him food when he’s approaching the third day without so much as a scrap. He could order them to stop hitting him when his foster father’s temper flares and he could stop them from ever putting the muzzle on him ever again, and yet—
He never does. Because it would make him into exactly what they all say he is—a villain. And Hitoshi would rather die than prove them right.
“Are there other kids in your current home?” Aizawa asks and Hitoshi feels as if his stomach plummets straight to his feet when he realises it’s because Aizawa is trying to figure out just how many people Hitoshi puts at risk at the regular.
“I make sure they are safe,” Hitoshi hisses out because how dare Aizawa imply that he’d ever hurt the other kids. Makoto is only nine and she’s the oldest of his three current foster siblings and there is no way in hell they deserve any of this shit. Hitoshi would rather take a beating than let his foster father anywhere near the other kids and he has done so, too.
“I need the names of the people you told about this before,” Aizawa says after a moment of silence and Hitoshi glares at him.
“What, so you can all raise a toast to keeping a villain in the making in check? Hell no,” Hitoshi snaps and takes a step back when Aizawa moves towards him.
He can’t quite decipher the look on his face, but he’s not about to stay and figure it out, not when he still feels so horribly betrayed by Aizawa’s reaction.
“I really hoped you might be different,” Hitoshi mutters under his breath as he gathers up his stuff and then sprints out of the gym without a look back.
Aizawa stays devastatingly quiet.
~*~*~
Skipping training like he did means Hitoshi comes home earlier than he was supposed to and that alone is enough to get himself locked up in his room. At least it’s just the room this time, and not the closet because with how much hurt is still swirling in Hitoshi’s stomach he’s pretty sure that being locked in that small, dark place would have sent him straight into a panic attack.
His room might not be the biggest, his mattress touches the wall on three sides after all, but there’s a small window and he can stretch out completely. It’s way better than the closet, even though Hitoshi can’t go to the bathroom and will be forced to skip dinner, too.
Still, it could have been worse, he tries to remind himself because at least the muzzle hasn’t made an appearance. Yet.
But being locked in his room, with his phone taken away and nothing to do but stare at a wall gives him way too much time to think about the looks on Aizawa’s and Present Mic’s faces.
They had seen more horrified than Hitoshi is really used to, but in the end they still hadn’t done anything. It still makes him tremble to remember Aizawa flaring his quirk and Present Mic walking out like that.
Hitoshi knows himself well enough to know that his nightmares now have more fodder than before and he’s almost glad for his insomnia.
He dozes off with nothing but the dust particles dancing in the air as his entertainment and he startles badly when the doorbell rings. It takes a while for the tension to leave him again but it’s not as if he can leave his room to check who would ever want to visit this godforsaken place, but just as he’s about to completely relax again, steps approach his door.
Hitoshi slowly sits up on his mattress, facing the door and tensing all over, because this can only mean more trouble.
His foster father made it very clear that he would be staying inside of his room until the next morning so if he’s coming back now that must mean a beating is in Hitoshi’s immediate future.
He wonders what could have possibly upset the man enough to make him change his mind.
There’s a brief cursory knock on his door before the key turns in the lock and Hitoshi gets up. He’d rather force his foster father to beat him down first, than giving him the opportunity to start kicking him directly but he was not prepared for the sight that greets him when the door swings open.
There’s a man with a cat head on the other side.
“Shinsou Hitoshi? I’m Tamakawa Sansa, a police officer, and I’m here for you.”
It feels as if all the blood leaves Hitoshi’s upper body, leaving him cold and faint and he does not enjoy the way his fingertips prickle.
He can only blink.
“Are you okay?” Tamakawa asks him and Hitoshi sways on the spot, trying desperately to not let the feeling of betrayal sting as much as it’s currently doing.
He expected Aizawa and Present Mic to do nothing. He did not expect them to call the police on him but then again—he did admit to wanting to use his quirk, so it’s probably just right.
The teachers are just looking out for everyone’s safety, just like they are supposed to. It doesn’t matter that yet again, Hitoshi’s safety is a lesser priority.
“Fine,” he eventually mutters out and Tamakawa nods.
“Alright. I’m here to escort you out, so if you would please follow me,” Tamakawa says and Hitoshi sways on the spot.
“Why?” he asks and immediately cringes back because he’s in enough trouble as he is, he doesn’t need to set this officer on edge on top of that.
“To make sure that nothing happens, of course,” Tamakawa answers him without hesitation and of course.
They can’t trust him to come quietly.
“Do I—” Hitoshi trails off, unwilling to test the patience of this officer any more and instead rephrases his question. “I need my stuff.”
It’s not much he has, anyway, but he’d feel a little more comfortable if he could bring it.
“Someone else will come back to get your things, but I’d rather have you out of the house as soon as possible,” Tamakawa says, sounding almost sorry and Hitoshi nods numbly.
Of course they want him out as soon as possible. Every second longer they allow him to spend here is another second he could put them all under his quirk. Of course no one wants to risk that.
Hitoshi has had nightmares about being arrested, being sent to Tartarus for his quirk, but none of the dreams could have prepared him for how bad it feels to be arrested like this.
The officer leads him out of the house and Hitoshi notes that he doesn’t see even a hair of any other inhabitants of the house and with how dangerous they clearly think he is he wonders why they haven’t brought quirk suppressing cuffs. Well, a quirk suppressing muzzle, more like, because he knows those are out there, but he’s not about to ask of course.
No reason to upset anyone further.
Hitoshi keeps his mouth shut as Tamakawa leads him to the police car and he keeps it shut when they drive and he keeps it shut, shut, shut, right until they stop in front of a building.
It doesn’t look like a police station and cold fear slides down Hitoshi’s back.
He never asked for a badge, never asked for the charges and now he’s possibly about to be murdered or sold off to who knows where and he won’t even get to know why.
“This is not the police station,” he says when Tamakawa comes around the car to open the door for him and he tilts his head, just like a confused cat would do and it’s almost enough to make Hitoshi relax.
Almost.
“Eraserhead and Present Mic are waiting for you, seeing as you’ll be staying with them,” Tamakawa informs him, and now that just makes Hitoshi want to burst out into tears.
Great. He thought he wouldn’t have to see them again but of course his life loves to spit right in his face. Now they are going to be his jailors and isn’t that just fantastic.
Hitoshi wonders what kind of security the place he’s about to walk in to has, but it’s probably nothing he can escape from. Not if those two are there to make sure he doesn’t run.
He wonders how long it’ll be until his trial and if he’ll ever get to make a statement or not.
Tamakawa is silent as he leads Hitoshi up the stairs and he’s silent as he knocks on a door.
It’s being yanked open not even a second later and Hitoshi drops his eyes as soon as he sees Aizawa.
He doesn’t think he can look at him without starting to cry right now and so the floor seems like the safer option.
“One Shinsou Hitoshi, delivered safely and unharmed, just like promised,” Tamakawa says with a note of amusement and Hitoshi hears the harsh breath Aizawa lets out at that.
“Thank you,” he says with more feeling than Hitoshi has ever heard him and it just makes his eyes burn even more.
He didn’t know Aizawa thought of him as so dangerous that he would attack a police officer.
“No problem at all. I’ll let you get settled then, someone will be by with his things later. Tsukauchi will drop by in a few days as well.”
Hitoshi wonders who this Tsukauchi is and if it means he’s in any danger but Aizawa only answers with a soft “Okay” before he pulls Hitoshi into the apartment.
Hitoshi dares to take a quick look around and what he sees surprises him. The place is more home-y than he would have guessed and there are no security measures he can spot at first glance. The windows are certainly not barred, though he doesn’t doubt that this could change in a second should he try anything.
“So this is where I’ll be detained,” he mutters, not quite making it a question as he trains his eyes back on the floor and so he’s startled when a new voice suddenly speaks up.
“Detained? I mean we expect we’ll have to ground you eventually, because you’re a teenager and all, but like, not right off the bat, right, Shou?”
Present Mic doesn’t sound quite as energetic as he does at school but it’s unmistakably him and Hitoshi lets out a shuddering breath.
He can’t believe that these two will have to guard him. He would rather have it be any other hero or police officer and he wonders if he can make a request like that. He doesn’t want the people he once looked up to be his prison guardians.
“Shinsou, are you okay?” Aizawa asks and he sounds just concerned enough to make it believable but Hitoshi knows better than to trust it.
He’ll stay here until he is being sent to prison and even with Erasure at the ready, he’ll probably be required to wear quirk suppressing cuffs because Aizawa can hardly keep his own quirk up all the time. Either that, or the muzzle and Hitoshi knows which he’d rather take.
“I’m not wearing quirk suppressing cuffs,” he informs them, because Tamakawa didn’t put any on him and they at least deserve to know that.
“Why would you be doing that, kiddo?” Present Mic wants to know, shuffling closer until his socked feet make it into Hitoshi’s field of vision, seeing as he still has his gaze locked onto the floor.
“Because I’m a danger like this and I’ll have to wear them in prison eventually anyway,” he explains because he doesn’t understand why they haven’t put them on him as soon as he stepped into the room.
“In prison?” Present Mic yells out and makes the glass vibrate.
Hitoshi jerks back, expecting him to turn his quirk on him for real, but he doesn’t get very far when he collides with a solid chest. It makes him freeze like a startled rabbit because for a moment he forgot that Aizawa was behind him.
“Breathe,” Aizawa instructs him and Hitoshi sucks in a desperate breath even as he scrambles away from Aizawa.
“I’m sorry,” Hitoshi miserably gets out as he wonders what the punishment for this will be.
Because there will be a punishment. He’s in detention, just waiting to be shipped off to prison, and touching the guy who is supposed to guard him is most likely a no-go.
“Shin—Hitoshi, what do you think is happening right now?” Aizawa asks after a long moment of silence and Hitoshi curls in on himself.
“You informed the police about what I said. About wanting to use my quirk. I’m marked as dangerous in my file, so they had to pull me out of the family. I’m being put into detention here until there will be a sentence and I’ll be shipped off to prison.”
Present Mic sucks in a surprised breath and Hitoshi feels as if the temperature in the room just dropped by several degrees. He braces himself, just in case.
“I understand why you did it,” he dejectedly says and he wonders where his spunk from a few hours ago went, but in all honesty, he knows.
He still had some kind of hope when he snapped at Aizawa and Present Mic in the gym, but now—there’s nothing left. No reason for him to fight anymore, to pretend no matter what because his future is clear now.
He will never be a hero. He won’t even be a citizen any longer. Hitoshi will rot in prison until he dies and maybe that’s for the best.
No one has ever done anything—not to protect him and not to bring him to justice.
He always wished for either or to happen, just so that it could all be over, but in all honesty, he wasn’t prepared for this. For the hurt and the desperation to almost swallow him whole and he’s pretty sure he’ll never be able to face his teachers—former teachers, there’s no school in prison—ever again.
“Hitoshi, will you look at us?” Aizawa asks, his voice more gentle than Hitoshi has ever heard it and he presses his eyes closed, wanting to stave off the tears.
“No,” he gets out and startles when a finger under his chin raises his head anyway.
It’s more careful than he expected it to be and he can’t help but to open his eyes again.
The first thing he notices is that Present Mic is not in his hero costume. His hair is down, there are plain glasses on his face and he’s dressed in sweatpants and a shirt. Clearly he’s not taking his duty seriously enough, Hitoshi can’t help but to think.
“Hitoshi,” Aizawa says, effortlessly capturing his attention away from Present Mic and Hitoshi is almost more startled by his look.
He has his hair up in a messy bun and he seems almost small without is capture weapon and the black suit bulking him up.
“I’m sorry,” he reflexively says again because what else is there to say in face of the teacher who wasted so much time on him.
“There is nothing you have to be sorry for. We’re sorry for not explaining. You’re not in detention and this is not a punishment. We enacted the Emergency Foster Protocol to get you out of your current situation,” Aizawa explains to him and Hitoshi blinks because he knows those words, individually, but put together like that, they don’t quite make sense.
“Why don’t you sit down, kiddo?” Present Mic gently suggests and it’s so ridiculous and so stupid but all Hitoshi can think is that he doesn’t even know his name.
And clearly his brain-to-mouth filter has left him at one point because instead of moving and doing what he said he blurts out “I don’t know your name”.
It makes everyone freeze for a second and Hitoshi watches how Present Mic’s face falls so he scrambles to explain.
“I mean, you’re Present Mic, I know that, but—I don’t know your name. And you’re not—” he gestures at his entire get-up, “that. At the moment. But I don’t know your name.”
“Ah,” Present Mic breathes out, understanding washing over his face and he gives Hitoshi a soft smile. “Yamada Hizashi. I really would prefer it if you didn’t call me Present Mic in our home,” he admits and it makes Hitoshi balk.
Our home. As if he belongs there as well.
“I really have no idea what’s going on anymore,” Hitoshi admits as he allows Aizawa to sit him down on the couch and Aizawa clicks his tongue.
“That’s more than obvious and it’s entirely our fault,” Yamada gives back as he sits right down next to Hitoshi. “We’re sorry for that.”
“So you said,” Hitoshi gives back because it’s still no explanation at all and he turns pleading eyes on Aizawa, who sits down at the edge of the coffee table right in front of Hitoshi.
“After you told us what happens to you in your family, we informed a detective we trust about the abuse taking place. We enacted the Emergency Foster Protocol to get you out as soon as possible before filing for permanent custody. If that is something you want, of course. But until then, you’re staying here, with us. You’re safe now.”
Hitoshi blinks. He hears what Aizawa says, he does, it’s just—
“That doesn’t make any sense at all.”
“How so?” Yamada asks, a concerned look on his face and Hitoshi scoots away from him.
“There is no way this is real. Just a few hours ago you were afraid of me using my quirk on him,” he nods towards Yamada. “There’s no way you’d let me stay here.”
“I was about to level the entire school to the ground,” Yamada blurts out even before Aizawa can open his mouth to say something and Hitoshi frowns at him. “What you told us about your treatment and the Festival and All Might,” he hisses the name more than he says it, “made me so goddamn angry that I nearly destroyed every building in the vicinity. It would have killed you two, too, so Shou erased my quirk. It wasn’t about you at all, kiddo.”
The familiar way Yamada says Shou really throws Hitoshi off and with a hint of hysteria he wonders if he’s stepped into some kind of alternate universe where everything is just not quite right.
It certainly would make more sense than whatever is happening right now.
“Hitoshi, of course we acted based on what you told us,” Aizawa says after a lengthy pause that doesn’t help Hitoshi to organise his thoughts at all. “Of course it affected us to hear how much you have been hurt.”
And now this, this is something Hitoshi knows how to do again, so he scoffs right in Aizawa’s face because—
“Sure. You acted based on what I told you. So what? You went to confront the Principal? You went to confront All Might? Don’t lie to me. I’m no safer at school than I was yesterday.”
“We did, actually,” Yamada says, without missing a beat and Hitoshi would really appreciate it if they stopped doing this.
This is not what’s supposed to happen, this is not at all what Hitoshi expected, what he learned to expect, and it leaves him speechless yet again.
“I’m sorry you learned not to expect anything to happen when you tell people what was and is still currently going on, but we did confront both the Principal and All Might. Well. Hizashi confronted All Might and I suspect he’s still with Recovery Girl because of it,” Aizawa drily says and Hitoshi whips his head around to Yamada.
“What?” he breathes out and he can’t spare even a single thought to the fact that he’s asking so many questions right now because nothing at all makes any sense anymore and a small part of him thinks that if they get angry at him for asking a question it would at least be a familiar comfort.
“I yelled right in his face, quirk activated and all,” Yamada proudly says and he doesn’t even wilt under Aizawa’s glare.
“You could have killed him,” Aizawa points out and Yamada shrugs.
“Could have. Didn’t. Please, Shou, give me more credit than that, you know I normally have great control. I even asked him to change his form before I did it, so really, what’s the damage, huh?”
“The damage is enough to keep him in Recovery Girl’s company for at least another three days,” Aizawa gives back, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“It’s the least he deserves,” Yamada argues back. “Be glad I didn’t jelly-fy his insides,” he huffs out and Aizawa huffs out a laugh.
Hitoshi just looks back and forth between them, trying to make any sense of what they are saying.
He kind of feels like a broken record but—
“I really don’t understand. Like. At all.”
“Oh, kiddo,” Yamada breathes out and reaches out to take Hitoshi’s hand in his.
Hitoshi fights the instinct to pull it away, even as he braces for pain, but Yamada’s hand is gentle around his and Hitoshi dares to relax a bit.
“When I left you two, I went straight to find All Might, to ask him about what you said,” Yamada starts to explain and now that makes Hitoshi huff out a breath.
“As if he even remembered me,” he mutters because All Might certainly has other things to do than remember every crushed kid he leaves behind but Yamada shakes his head.
“He did actually. He knew exactly what I was talking about. And he still—” Yamada cuts himself off here, but Hitoshi can guess where this is going.
All Might still maintains his position that it would be better for him to be wearing his muzzle.
“He’s lucky he isn’t dead,” Aizawa says with a nod. “And that I wasn’t there. It was nice of you to ask him to change into his muscle form but I would have erased his quirk right then and there if I had been present.”
“So it’s a good thing you weren’t,” Yamada gives back and Hitoshi watches their interactions with new interest.
It’s only now that it hits him that if he’s not here to be detained then that means this must be the home of one of them. But—Yamada had said ‘our home’, so maybe they are roommates? Hitoshi watches them have another entirely silent conversation just with their eyes and he realises that they have been doing that a whole lot.
Not roommates then but partners?
“What’s going on in that brain of yours?” Yamada asks because of course he would notice Hitoshi staring and Hitoshi can feel himself go red in the face.
“Are you two—sorry if it’s inappropriate to ask but I was just wondering about your relationship.”
“It’s not inappropriate for you to ask, but you’re not even doing that. You wanna try that again?” Aizawa gives back and Hitoshi huffs out an annoyed breath.
“Are you two together?” he asks, trying to stare Aizawa down and realising thirty seconds in just what a horrendously stupid idea it is, since staring people down is literally in Aizawa’s job description.
“Married, actually,” Aizawa says once Hitoshi admitted defeat and blinked first and it’s so surprising that Hitoshi doesn’t know what to say to that so he simply nods.
“Anyway.” Yamada claps his hands together and dispels the weird silence hanging in the room. “Once All Might was dealt with I went straight to the principal. That is where Shou caught up to me and we went in together. Turns out, Nezu hadn’t known what happened to Bakugo at the Festival either, because he was busy dealing with the third years, but he did learn about it afterwards.”
“Let me guess. He congratulated them on a job well done,” Hitoshi bitterly mutters because he knows how these things go. He knows not to expect anything from authority figures.
“The opposite, actually, though it wasn’t well communicated to the students at large,” Aizawa cuts in. “You know about the strike system?”
“Yes,” Hitoshi confirms. “But that’s just for students.”
“It’s not actually. A strike for every serious offense, and you’re out after two, that’s the rule. It doesn’t just apply to the students, though, but to the entire school body, staff included. Nezu marked down a strike for Midnight, Cementoss and All Might, had them write a formal apology to Bakugo as well as have them apologise in person and he offered every support Bakugo thinks he might need. Additionally to that he wiped every recording of the ceremony off the internet, because he’s scary like that. He just didn’t communicate any of that publicly.”
“That’s—” A whole lot, actually, and Hitoshi doesn’t know how to react to it at all and so he decides to concentrate on that bitter feeling rising up in him.
“That means All Might is still around.”
“He’s not, Hitoshi, of course he’s not,” Yamada tells him with a comforting smile. “There are camera’s everywhere in the halls, so Nezu has it right there on tape that All Might still thinks that—well. Nezu wasn’t too pleased and it marks All Might’s second strike. He’s no longer allowed to come to U.A., let alone teach. Nezu would love to have his hero licence revoked as well, but given the current political state, that just seems like a disaster in the waiting, sadly.”
“If he has that on tape, then what about you? Did you get a strike, too?” Hitoshi feels sick thinking about it, because if Yamada loses his job because of him, he doesn’t know what he’s going to do.
“I didn’t, no need to worry, little listener,” Yamada reassures him. “Nezu might be a scary psychopath most of the time, but he has his moments. He understands emotionally charged situations and he let me off with a slap to the wrist, so to speak. I’m on thin ice for the foreseeable future, though.” Yamada shrugs as if it doesn’t mean anything to him and Hitoshi feels a bit faint.
“We’re sorry Sansa didn’t actually explain anything to you when he pulled you out of the house, but I guess he was under the impression you knew what’s going on and he just wanted to get you to safety as quickly as possible. It wasn’t done out of malice.”
“He was concerned for my safety,” Hitoshi mutters out, completely taken aback by that because that never happened before. No one has ever been so clearly concerned for his safety, rather than the people around him and it leaves him flabbergasted. “I was his priority.”
“Of course you were. We told him how important it is to get you out as soon as possible.”
“Why weren’t you there?” Hitoshi demands to know because if they had been there from the start maybe things wouldn’t have been so confusing for a while.
“Because us being there would have hindered the proceedings. We applied to be your foster parents. Us being pro heroes gives us more leeway than most, but interfering with an ongoing investigation into your current foster family could actually be damaging to our application, so we thought it best to stay back and simply welcome you home. We realise now that one of us should have went anyway, though, if only to explain things to you immediately.”
“You—really did that? Apply to foster me properly?” Hitoshi can’t help but to ask, since it doesn’t make much sense.
Nothing about today makes any sense at all, but this is just—Hitoshi can’t wrap his head around this.
“We did. If that is something you want, of course,” Aizawa says again. “As long as the request is being processed the Emergency Protocol will stay in place, so there’s no danger of you being shuffled around or temporarily placed into a group home. If you don’t want to stay here, we’re going to make sure you get a good foster family, one we personally approved of. And we would still do weekly home visits, just to make sure everything is fine. It’s your decision, really.”
And that right there is not okay at all. It can’t be his decision. Hitoshi doesn’t get to make decisions about his life, not like that.
“I don’t know—” Hitoshi starts but trails off because he doesn’t think he can admit to not knowing how to make this decision.
“It’s okay if you don’t yet, kiddo,” Yamada gently tells him. “There’s no rush.”
“No, I—” Hitoshi takes a deep breath and pretends he doesn’t realise that his hand tightens on Yamada’s as if he’s clutching a lifeline. “I just—I don’t get to make decisions.”
“Oh,” Yamada breathes out, barely audible in the space between them and Hitoshi can’t quite meet his gaze.
He knows that it’s a fucked up thing to admit to.
“That’s okay, Hitoshi, there’s no rush. You’re safe here with us, for however long you want or need, and when you figure out what you want, you can just let us know. There’s no time limit to this. If there’s no other application then you’ll stay with us until you feel comfortable making a decision,” Aizawa softly says and it’s too much, it’s all too much for Hitoshi.
“I think I want to sleep now,” he mutters, because maybe things will make more sense in the morning, once he’s rested and no longer as confused as he is now.
“That’s okay, too. You don’t have to go to school tomorrow, so don’t worry about setting an alarm. Sansa said someone will be by with your things later, so for now you can just borrow some of our clothes to sleep in. Are you hungry? Do you want to eat something before you go crash?” Yamada asks as if going to sleep in the middle of the day is an entirely rational thing to do.
Hitoshi shakes his head though, because his stomach is still kind of filled to the brim with anxiety and other fun emotions, so he doubts he could keep any food down.
“Alright, let me show you your room then,” Aizawa nods and gets up, clearly expecting Hitoshi to follow after him, which he does.
The room he’s being led to is spacious and even though it’s clearly just a guest bedroom it looks more home-y than anything Hitoshi has ever known and he is so perplexed that Aizawa’s voice turns to static in his ears.
It’s not long before he’s left alone, spare clothes shoved gently in his hands but all Hitoshi can do is fall face first onto the mattress.
He still doesn’t quite dare to trust this—anything Aizawa and Yamada have said, really—but he thinks that if things stay the same tomorrow, he knows what his first ever decision regarding his living arrangements is going to be.
Hitoshi is going to stay here. Aizawa and Yamada made the offer first, and seeing as they actually did something when Hitoshi told them about what’s going on, it makes him hopeful.
Hopeful enough to make him fall asleep with a small smile on his face.

Sweet Dreams
Aizawa takes to parenthood surprisingly well.
It’s okay for spouses to keep a few innocent secrets from each other. Your husband’s never confessed how many hours he’s spent at the local cat cafes over the years, and you’ve never thought to ask. On your end, you’d never admit that you may have had a few early concerns about Shouta becoming a father, and you’re definitely not going to mention them at this point.
Your greatest worry, that he’d be too exhausted from work to raise a newborn, couldn’t have been more wrong. You’re surprised he’s been able to put such a hard limit on both his teaching duties and hero work; the other faculty have stepped in to help with his lessons, and nothing short of a true unavoidable villain emergency can summon him to the streets while he’s on leave. For the first time since you met, his schedule is almost completely clear to rest and prioritize his personal life instead of the entire country. Besides his regular training with Shinso and caring for Eri, which neither of you has ever considered real work, Aizawa is free to spend all the time he wants with your new daughter.
It’s a welcome relief that Yume is a dream baby to care for. It’s clear she takes after her father; you think your little girl would happily sleep the entire day away if you didn’t keep rudely waking her to eat every few hours. You’d been more than a little worried about her sleeping habits in the first few weeks, but her pediatrician’s declared her to be a perfectly healthy newborn who just wants some extra nap time. It doesn’t take long to establish a perfect system; no matter how grumpy she is at being woken up for a meal, the moment you pass her to Shouta it’s like flipping a magic switch. She stares up at him with sleepy eyes and, as if it’s an extremely niche second quirk he’s been hiding his whole life, almost immediately yawns and drifts back off. You’d be lying if you said you weren’t jealous.
You treat yourself to a long shower this afternoon and relax under the steam until the hot water runs out. You stop to pull a bottle out of the fridge and warm it up before wandering back into your bedroom and smile at what you find. Shouta’s asleep in your bed with Yume cuddled into his chest, one strong hand splayed across her tiny back to keep her steady. You fish your phone out of your robe pocket as quietly as you can and take a few quick pictures, but your hero has razor-sharp instincts and notices immediately.
“You know unauthorized photography is a crime,” he yawns, and you sigh dramatically.
“Oh no, Eraserhead’s caught me. I’m a repeat offender, I guess you’re gonna have to haul me off to jail,” you plead in mock-distress until you’re overcome with laughter. “She’s due for a meal, can you feed her?” He nods, with a bit of effort manages to sit up and shift the baby into the crook of his arm without disturbing her. He takes the bottle in his free hand and taps your daughter’s cheek with it while you step over to change your clothes.
“Nap’s over, kitty.” You can’t help but smile at the nickname he’s given her. It came so naturally that you’re not even sure he’s aware that he calls her that, but it warms your heart every time you hear how gently he says it to her. From the corner of your eye you watch him tap her cheek with the tip of the bottle until she lets out the tiniest whine and opens her mouth for it. Her eyes slip closed again after a minute, and you realize she’s fallen back asleep as she drinks comfortably in her father’s arms.
“You’re just showing off now,” you pout, dropping your robe on the floor and reaching for your fresh clothes.
He shakes his head, smiling faintly at Yume. “I’m not showing off, we just have a lot in common.” He looks over to catch sight of you changing and gives you a low, teasing whistle of appreciation. You roll your eyes, but his attention still sends a flicker of butterflies to your stomach after all this time.
“My eyes are up here, Eraser.” You can’t pretend to actually be annoyed when the three of you are in the middle of such a nice moment and instead climb into bed next to them. You stroke Yume’s dark hair and she gives you a little coo as the empty bottle slips out of her mouth. “She really is amazing,” you murmur, reaching over to take her from Aizawa and leaning her against your shoulder to burp. “I was expecting her to be way more work.”
He flops back down onto his pillow. “It’s almost suspicious,” he agrees. “You think she just wants us to let our guard down before she turns into a screaming monster?”
Satisfied that she’s taken care of, you lay her down between the two of you and stare down at them. “She’d be the worst villain in history, don’t even joke about that!” Shouta looks back at you with a wide grin, and you wonder if there’s ever been a time in his life when he’s been so openly happy. You stroke your baby’s face and she barely stirs. “Hey kiddo, you think you might wanna wake up when Eri’s done with her classes for the day? You know how much your big sis loves playing with you.” There’s the slightest lift of an eyelid in response, and you take that as a yes.
“Hey, Shouta? I think we got really lucky with our family.”
He’s already halfway back asleep himself and lets out a tired yawn before he answers you. “Me too, kitten. Can you get the light?” You drag yourself off the bed long enough to hit the switch before returning to lay down with them. You’ve earned a bit of a nap yourself, and you’ll need all the energy you can get if Yume really is a little monster in disguise.

❛ 27 . a kiss to end the sexual tension . ( don't look at me, this is for isamu )
Quiet, it was an odd word to describe his personal lodgings. Aging photographs && incantations that bared themselves upon the walls, as if someone was afraid, all that was impure could follow the effigy of a ghostly man. The smell of black tea && liquorice, cigarette smoke tinged with vanilla, he laughs && smiles breaking the chilling nature that spoke with a stabbing precision. “Heroes get days off? Weird, thought the whole fighting villains thing never ends” it’s taunting, teasing, without malice as dark eyes linger upon him. “So, you decided to spend it with me? Doubt you’re here for driving lessons, I’m terrified of teaching the students, that’s my only fear” a snort as porcelain fills with the strong brew, favored from the past, but he can never recall which figure spoiled him in such simple luxuries.
How long have they managed to play innocent? Glances that linger too long, the sigh of relief whenever another mission was over that left his lips, innocent flirting met with a monotone grin - relief && joy whenever they were in each other’s presence. He didn’t want to linger upon it, the life of a manger was plagued with difficulties, even if he long forgoed the thought of a promotion by blood he was still that of a medium. Death followed each step, even when he wished to turn away from the echoes of the ancients, they knew him all too well.
Close, too close, the smell of rain && cologne entangled together, icy blonde locks that gently hang in rivulets, the desire to seal the space between them gnawing at his stomach. “Hey, I thought we were just having tea” he’s devilish with a studded tongue, charming underneath the stoic exterior, one singular kiss pressed against his cheek - a soft flame. Then, it moves closer, firm, pulsating, tempting as he nips at Aizawa's bottom lip before withdrawing. The hunger within his gut is unsatisfied, every memory that floods in from the exasperated bickering over his antics to the moments his slender shoulders would tremble, the softness of his voice eking out delicately; I’m glad you are safe. He tastes like intoxication, easy to become drunk on, the metal stud making a quick swipe as Isamu pulls away. Thumb caressing over his bottom lip as he snickers, “We’re going to ruin whatever it is we have” there was no question or hesitation, just a statement. The expression that was daring, head cocked innocently to the side.
“Or it can be just for fun, tell me now, I’m aching to kiss you again”
#answered: isamu järvinen.#intcritus#// INHALES DEEEEEPLLYYY#// physically restraining him since he can be rather shameless so it is TAME#// I know they've had those way too close of moments or their bickering grew too intense#// now it's just isamu wanting to ask: how many times have you dreamed of me?#// he's a little too forward sometimes

TheLreads, Vigilantes ch 121, Replies Part 2
1) “Aizawa what the fuck, you guys are the cavalry
Well, until All Might get here that is
Sorry koichi, you already got put on the bench for the finale of your own story.”- Koichi’s fine with that. He likes the bench, it’s his comfort zone. 2) “Apparently yes it is. Can’t believe that Groose came back for the finale.
Suck it, Captain Celebrity, you’re less important than fucking Groose.”- Well, up until the epilogue and Koichi needs a “friend” overseas to emigrate with.
3) “I have a feeling you’re having fun with this, Aizawa.”- He’s protecting a child, fighting a villain and teaching a valuable life-lesson (always listen to Aizawa) all at the same
4) “YOU MOTHERFUCKERS KNOW THAT’S NOT HIS NAME WHAT WERE THE LAST THREE YEARS EVEN FOR AGAIN?”- Some things never change. Frankly, Koichi had to leave the country before he could get away from the name.
5) “THANK YOU TENSEI, YOU’RE ABSOLUTELY DOING A PHENOMENAL JOB GETTING PEOPLE AWAY FROM THE MONSTER.”- It’s not like he can knock them out to transport them away from the danger that way. Heroes have to convince civilians to leave the hot zone without physically manhandling them unless in cases of immediate danger, least they risk a lawsuit being filed.
6) “PFFFTTT-
Alright that never gets old. Can’t wait for him to yeet Koichi into the crowd”- Aizawa’s not in it for the fame, but dam if it don’t sting every time somebody brings up his anonymity.
7) “oh my god every single motherfucker to ever show up decided to appear for the finale, we’re going full shonen now”- It’s like All Might vs AFO again. Unfortunately, Nomura ego is much more fragile than AFO’s and everybody egging on Koichi to win against him just makes him spiral into his final self-destructive attack. 8) “good fucking job Koichi
Besides, they don’t even know your actual name even after three years.”- The advantage of fame is not always a good one. Ironically, Izuku’s completely avoided that with the masses in his own series through sheer chance, despite being the guy that AFO’s evil plan is not focusing on going forward. 9) “How many times are we gonna make the Nomu cry in this story honestly?”- As many times as it takes to make him sympathetic and tragic, like Tomura. I think it’s a bit of a wash at this stage, frankly, but Furuhashi’s not on to quit. 10) “Oh you’re still thinking? Even though your brain is pretty much frying from the inside out?”- What Nomura’s focusing on doesn’t require a lot of brainpower. Just killing Koichi and hating him for how he’s getting everything in life he ever wanted.
11) “Well he never asked for it. Also, to be fair, it all happened because you decided to mess with him, otherwise he literally would have stopped and lived a normal life.
Good job McBee.”- Villains traditionally create their own heroes, but Nomura truly went out of his way in his efforts to become the hero of his story, and in the end, all he did was pave the way for Koichi to rise to success through his one-sided decision to antagonise him. 12) “…
I swear to god if we have another one-winged angel transformation…”- Well, kina? Less transforming into a new form and more splitting what he has down into a more-unstable version of his humanoid plasma self. 13) “Fear not, all those building were conveniently empty.”- And now Nomura goes out the same way he introduced himself to the public; sic’ing a bunch of exploding “minions” on civilian targets. 14) “Poor Groose, hopefully he had a hearing aid support item after going to school with them.”- Honestly, as his best buddy, Aizawa should have one of his own, after being around him all the time.
15) “OH MY GOD WHAT THE FUCK IS IT NOW”- It’s another excuse to crack out the booze! @thelreads

Midnight Headcanons!
Alright you cool kids and groovy cats, here's the deal! This is my favorite Pro Hero, Midnight's, turn to have my headcanons bestowed upon her, and I adore them so you're getting them!
So without any further ado, here we go!
Family Headcanons!
She's the oldest of three children, the daughter of a former Yakuza and a Perfumer. Her baby brother Neruteno is part of the HPSC black ops team and her baby sister Aikita is a streamer/influencer that helps get business to her family alongside her.
Nemuri's parents, Fuwame and Ayaka, raised her lovingly and had her siblings at least three years apart each. So when Nemuri was three her brother was born and when she was six her baby sister arrived.
Being born so close together made the bonds between the Kayama children as tight as they can be, with Nemuri being a fiercely protective older sister and absolutely a father's daughter because Nemuri had a tendency to pick up on her father's trick lessons and be a complete rebel in her school days.
Nemuri Kayama was known as the one girl every guy was afraid of and for good reason because her Dad looked like he could benchpress all of them and she probably could too.
Although the real danger was Mama Ayaka. Neruteno admires his older sister and absolutely is the little brother who'd annoy her but at the same time be very supportive and protective.
Personality Headcanons!
Nemuri surprisingly has a fine line between herself and the Midnight Persona that spouts out innuendoes and poses sensually. She takes her job as a teacher very seriously, especially towards the girls because she knows that Hero Work is more than just Super Cops, it's selling your soul and your privacy even.
She does have her moments of strict teaching, but it's mostly because she wants her students to listen and to care about what she's teaching them.
Sometimes it goes beyond her subject, and when she hears about some of her former students getting hurt or killed, and even allies getting hurt or killed it breaks her heart.
Shirakumo affected her for years, and she did go with Aizawa and Mic to see if they could get him back out of Kurogiri, and they started to. She was their friend too and tried so hard to get him to remember.
When she got home that night to Sushi and Koyurei she just... broke down. The fear and the stress and the constant nights mourning one of her friends and imagining how it must've been finally got to her.
She was one of the teachers who absolutely fought against using the kids in the War. While she knows they're far more experienced than they should be, that's precisely the problem.
They're just kids, just starting out, they shouldn't have to worry about life or death situations, it's the adults problem and they should handle it.
She is definitely a motorcycle girl, she rides it into work every day and takes extremely good care of it. She adores her cat and partner (My OC Koyurei.) but doesn't bring him up often because she wants him to get better.
After the War, she does have some scars left over, and was luckily rescued by her husband melting down her motorbike and getting her out of there and to somewhere safe.
She becomes a vigilante to continue protecting people alongside her husband, often being the one with more guts and violent tactics because she wants all the villains to remember who took them down for years after.
She's sweet, sure, but also very vindictive and sometimes cruel. But not without good reason and cause. She's a very playful, passionate woman who loves her friends, students, and family very deeply.
That's why she really became a hero. Because she loved so many people and wanted to protect them. She became Midnight because her sister's quirk put her in danger.
Life kept taking from her, so when she met Koyurei, an almost equally broken man but without the support system she had, she saw a kindred spirit.
That's why they got together. They were both broken and decided to support one another.
Also her quirk smells like whatever the recipient associates with falling asleep, or a happy childhood memory, something warm and comforting and wholly theirs.
To Koyurei, she smells like the scent of his mother's laundry. I know, weird but some scents just calm him down. Slowly though, her shampoo, her body wash, her scent becomes what he smells through somnambulist.
Romance Headcanons!
Nemuri is a very caring partner. Some days she's overworked and stressed out, so having someone there for her at the end of the day gives her something to look forward to.
Nemuri is a top tier cuddler. I headcanon her to be very soft and her hair to be just as soft too. She's like a living bed almost. (Weird analogy I know.) She doesn't mind using her quirk on her partner because some nights he just can't sleep.
Plus sometimes he's just the right temperature to send her off to dreamland, too.
Physical touch as well as words of affirmation are her go tos. She tends to wrap her arm around the shoulders of her lovely husband and just praise him, then lean down and kiss him.
She loves being the cuddler, but sometimes she's the cuddlee. Oftentimes feeling Koyurei bundle himself up behind her and nuzzle her wavy locks.
Bathtimes are very, very special for her. Bubble baths, bathbombs, candles, mood lighting, music... the works. She loves just soaking her aching body from all the hero stuff she does in the water.
Sometimes she lets Koyurei join her, and by extension her partner, where they share some quiet time in the bath together.

“Ah, welcome back Aizawa-chan. How are you today?”
“…”
“…we shall get started on where we last left off, Aizawa-chan.”
*rustle of papers in the background*
“From our last session with both of your fathers included, they had mentioned how your academics had severely improved compared to a year ago. If by chance… Did your kidnappers get a private tutor for you?”
“… three of them. Tutors I mean.”
“Three tutors, you say? Do you mind to elaborate on what they taught you?”
*soft ruffing against furniture*
*sighs* “you know… the basics of general education? Math…English… Science…History… P.E…”
“Could you perhaps describe each of the tutors? It could help with the investigation…”
“…the tutor who taught both English and History was a more older man… grayed hair slicked back. He always had his cat in his arms or on the table as he did the lessons…. Kinda like a grandfather if I could say… it was always nice to listen about his life stories…”
*soft scribbles against paper*
“The second tutor for science and math…he’s a year older than dad. He had his hair half-black and other one half-white and wore this fluffy soft fur coat everyday…. He was strict while teaching but he cared about safety when it came to science… he calls me pup most of the time…”
“It sounds like you were fond of this tutor… especially with the nickname for you.”
“… before you could write down such disgusting accusations, He was more of a dad than anything… he cared about my wellbeing and education… I accidentally called him papa once and it went from there…”
*the scribbling stops*
“… Aizawa-chan, you know you don’t have to protect these people right..? You went missing for a year… you have lots of people wanting to find them and to bring justice for you…”
“They didn’t do anything to me! If anything… they made me feel… accepted… I felt accepted by them more than anything.”
“They made you feel accepted..? How?”
“They just did. Even though they had magic quirks, they made me feel accepted… like I was one of them even though I was the odd one out…”
*silence*
.
.
.
“Our time is nearly out… we seemed to have made a slight bigger progress in this session than any other of our sessions… before time is definitely out, your dad had mentioned, before the start of this one, you created this plush animal. A cat with blue flames coming out of the ears… he said you named it and carry it with you everywhere but I don’t see it on you…”
“… I didn’t want to bring him to these sessions…”
“Him?”
“Yes… I didn’t want to bring Grim here with me… the plush that is…”

*************
TWENTY-THREE.
A week after being saved by you from drowning and possibly losing a limb, Aizawa’s dorm room is finally ready to be moved into again and he sees you everywhere: on the news; in the papers; on Twitter.
And he fucking hates it.
It’s bad enough you’ve been all up in his mind, but now he has to see you in your hot-ass Night Claw outfit in every magazine and newspaper now?
Not to mention the viral videos. You were kicking Aqua Master’s ass in that pencil skirt and blouse. Though you look good and you certainly deserve your fame, he can’t help but also be extremely worried about how your life could go from here.
Since last Friday’s mission with the Aqua Master, he hasn’t heard anything negative from Principal Nezu, the HPSC, or the police chief whom he was sure would slap some cuffs on you on Friday afternoon.
Aizawa would’ve damn well bailed you out himself if not raised hell to the police department if that shit happened. He hasn’t heard much from Endeavor’s hot-headed ass either, thank God. The man knows what’s good for him. Aizawa thought he had lost his mind talking to you in that manner.
To say he wasn’t ready to teach Endeavor a lesson right there in front of everyone is an understatement, but Aizawa knew better. He didn't want his little Eri to see Daddy fucking up another pro on TV.
All he can hope is that things go well for you here. He knows for a fact that the UA kids are talking as are the streets of Musutafu about the sexy, skilled cat girl hero who singlehandedly took down a villain and saved dozens of lives, including Eraserhead’s.
Though you’re absolutely insane, he has the utmost respect for you for kicking ass without your disguise, knowing fully well you’d be plastered all over Japan and possibly the world as a new hero stepping onto the scene. He just hopes the HPSC doesn't try to scoop you up. He’ll fight to keep that at bay, but if it happens, it’s ultimately your decision.
These thoughts have been bugging Aizawa all week, so on a beautiful Saturday morning, he decides to take Eri to the park. There aren’t many people here yet, so he lets Eri have free range of the playground area. “Daddy, can I go on the swing?” she asks, eagerly looking up at him.
He smiles, nodding. “Go have at it, but be careful and try not to get your clothes too dirty.” As she skips away in her baby blue dress, he takes a seat on a nearby bench to watch her. The air is clean, the breeze is cool, and the sun is warm on his face.
Definitely, some good weather to clear his head and figure out this you problem. He hasn’t spoken to you since last Friday when you saved his life. He wants to be angry at you for being so reckless like that, but his respect and adoration for your decision overpowers that.
“Dammit,” he sighs, running a frustrated hand down his face. Why do you have to be so stubborn?
“I knew I recognized that voice!” a familiar, cheery voice exclaims from beside him. “I’m not used to seeing you out and about, Aizawa.”
Aizawa turns, finding a small mouse wearing a kind smile and a red tracksuit with a UA sweatband around his forehead. “Principal Nezu,” he says. “You’re out here? Aren’t you afraid of the gettin’ swiped up by a dog or something?”
Nezu titters to himself, waving his paw. “Oh, no,” he laughs. “That’s what I’ve got this for.” He slides something out of the tiny fanny pack wrapped around his waist, revealing it to be an animal repellent. “But don’t worry; it doesn’t hurt ‘em. Just gives off a very unpleasant smell.”
Aizawa nods, struggling not to laugh at the idea of his boss carrying that around. Nezu hops up next to him, already knowing Aizawa won’t mind his company.
“I see you’ve caught wind of the new hero that hit the streets too, huh?” he chuckles. “I will admit, Ms. L/N looked incredible in that news clip the way she handled herself. I’m shocked she never decided to be a pro hero.”
A record scratches in Aizawa’s head as he turns to the mouse. “Wait,” he says, furrowing his brows at Nezu. “You know?”
“Well, of course, I do!” Nezu laughs as if it should’ve been obvious. “I always have! I will admit that I was worried about how it would affect the other staff and students here or how it could potentially affect her job, but Y/N has never disappointed me on that front. She knows how important it is to be an outlet for the kids.”
He looks at Aizawa, seriousness in his eyes. “Besides, after she saved your life when Toyoma attacked you, I could never go and fire her. She has a pure heart.”
Aizawa sighs, his muscles relaxing. He has never felt so relieved. This means your job is safe! Nezu is still giving him that serious look though which puts him slightly on edge.
“I am sorry for what happened that night, Shouta,” he solemnly says. “To you and Eri. I’m just glad your dorm is ready to live in again.” He turns to Eri still on the swings, giggling happily. The two wave at each other, filling Aizawa with joy.
“So am I,” the pro sighs, relieved. “And you have nothing to apologize for. I’m just glad I’m here and breathing.” Nezu smiles fondly, patting Aizawa on the arm. “That’s the right attitude.”
Silence then descends on them, though not awkwardly. It is peaceful, but guilt eats Aizawa up with every second they sit in silence. He has to tell him the truth.
“I have something to tell you,” he sighs, the guilt winning him over. Nezu turns to him expectantly and he swallows the lump in his throat before continuing. “A couple months ago, I adopted a cat for Eri to keep her company and help her make her feel more like a kid. Unfortunately, that fell through, but I’m sorry I went against your rules. I just wanted to give Eri as much happiness as I could when I’m not able to be with her.”
Nezu says nothing for a while, just blankly staring up at Aizawa. He stares down at his boss, wondering what he’s thinking. Is he going to be fired right here, right now? Will he be banned from the dorms? Who will Eri live with then? “Shouta, I already knew about the cat,” Nezu matter-o-factly says.
Aizawa’s eyes widen, shocked. "You think cameras don't exist in the faculty dorms? I’ve seen that cat walk in and out of that building time and time again!”
Nezu just laughs like this is the funniest thing he’s ever heard. “But since she never gave me or anyone else trouble, I never bothered. Plus, I could see how happy she made you and Eri since you adopted her. It's always nice to see a smile on your face. You’ve always looked so down.”
Aizawa doesn’t know how to handle hearing that. So Nezu has worried about him too? What of everyone else? What of Eri? Had she noticed too? Maybe he needs to get better at hiding things. ‘Or maybe just express how you feel to the people you love, ass,’ he critically thinks. ‘No matter how embarrassing.’
“Pardon my saying,” Nezu continues, “but I feel as if that smile hasn’t always been from the cat though.” He stares at Aizawa, a knowing smile playing on his lips. “It’s from Y/N, isn’t it?”
Aizawa’s flushed cheeks say everything he needs to know, and he chuckles to himself. “I could always see you two had a special relationship which I’m sure can be just as strong now. It could just about be unbreakable with a little communication.”
Aizawa raises an eyebrow at his words. He can't help but feel like Nezu is saying them for a reason. Does he know you and him are on awkward terms right now? Does this mouse have eyes in the back of his head or something to know everything that happens in his school? Whatever it may be, it is good and critical advice. “So you really don’t mind pets?” he asks.
Nezu rubs his paw along his chin, thinking. “Well, I do have a condition for that,” he replies, making Aizawa’s heart leap. “If you are to have pets, you have to be sure they won’t eat me and you’ll have to carry me in your jumpsuit for the next five months…starting now.”
Aizawa rolls his eyes, but unzips the top half of his tracksuit anyway. Now he’ll be cleaning out mouse fur from his tracksuit and scarves for weeks. “Come on,” he sighs.
Nezu happily laughs as he scurries across the bench and up onto Aizawa’s chest before burrowing himself under his tracksuit. When Aizawa zips it up, Nezu’s head pops out from under his scarves, peeking at the world.
“And thank you,” Aizawa softly says, smirking down at the little creature. Nezu smiles up at him fondly. “It’s my pleasure. Now let’s go to the swings!”
The rest of the afternoon is spent at the park, playing on the swings with Eri and Nezu and walking along the hiking trails to help Eri pick flowers. After dropping Nezu off at his office back at UA, Aizawa takes Eri back to their dorm.
It feels so good to finally be back in the familiar halls of the faculty dorms after so long. Though the apartment Nezu rented for them was very cozy, Aizawa missed the cherry blossoms blooming outside his window and the homely feeling he got from his dorm room.
Eri must’ve missed it too from how she was skipping down the hallway next to him, happy as a clam. “Daddy, are we still seeing the new Spider-verse movie tomorrow?” She asks, then gasps excitedly. “Do you think Y/N would wanna go with us? I think she’d really like it!”
This isn’t the first time she has mentioned your name. She’s been doing so ever since Toyoma's attack, wondering if she can visit you at your office or your dorm.
And Aizawa always has the same answer: “I could ask her, pumpkin, but Y/N has been very busy lately. I don't think she’d–“
He suddenly pauses when they get to their door, noticing something there that is out of place. A little wicker basket with a soft, plush blanket on top sits in front of the door.
“What the hell?” Aizawa whispers. He furrows his brows in confusion at the basket, holding Eri’s hand a little firmer now. It could just be fruits or chocolates, but if he knows anything, you can never be too careful when it comes to receiving unexpected gifts.
His defenses go up even more when the blanket begins to move. He swears his soul nearly leaves his body. “Daddy, look!” Eri gasps, pointing at the moving blanket. “It’s moving! I think there’s something in it.” She manages to escape Aizawa’s hold and runs over to the basket, kneeling beside it.
Anticipation for something horrible under that blanket fills Aizawa’s gut as Eri pulls back the blanket. 'It better not be no baby,’ he thinks. ‘I’ve already got one of those.’
But his mind isn’t even close to the truth. Settled within the blanket with a side of cat food, toys, and litter, is a little calico kitten with the pinkest nose and prettiest swirl pattern Aizawa has ever seen.
Eri gasps, her eyes growing wide at the sight of the animal. “It’s a kitten!” she squeals. “She’s so, so cute! Look, she's got a scar just like you, Daddy!”
Aizawa looks closer at the cat, finding a tiny scar under her left eye the shape of an upside-down present moon. Speaking of her eyes, they are so, so big! He can practically see the entire forest in the beautiful green shade of them. “Yeah,” he agrees, reaching a finger out to her. She sniffs him once with her little pink nose before brushing her head against his finger. “Where’d she come from though?”
While Eri starts to gently pet her head, he searches for a card. There has to be something here to tell him where she came from. Luckily, he finds it. Taped to the bottom of the basket is a little white card scribbled in fast, pen-inked handwriting. He reads it over, his heart melting at the sweet words:
A furry cure for loneliness and a great addition to any family. Meet Nea (for Neapolitan, like the ice cream). Enjoy! Feel free to change her name. -Love.
A laugh bubbles from Aizawa’s chest once he finishes reading the card. Though they didn’t leave a name, he knows exactly who this precious gift is from and makes a mental note to thank them personally. After making a few calls first, of course.
“Who is she from, Daddy?” Eri curiously asks, still petting the kitten.
Aizawa just smiles as he kneels down next to the basket and the excited, mewing kitten. “A very good friend of mine,” he answers before gently stroking the kitten’s head. “Nice to meet you, Nea.”
*********
“Anybody want another one?” Mic asks, already whipping up another delicious, pineapple, mint-flavored cocktail in Nemuri's dorm kitchen.
You sigh, pushing away the second cocktail you haven’t even finished yet. “Not unless you want my clothes off,” you joke, leaning your cheek on your fist. Mic pauses in his kitchenette, a wolfish smile curling onto his lips. “Well…”
As you laugh, Nemuri pegs a pillow at him from her spot next to you on the couch. “Mic!” she gasps. The pro catches the pillow in one hand as he lowers the ice shaker of his mixed concoction with the other.
“C’mon, I’m kidding! Look, I got a smile out of her!” He nods at your lips curled into a grin after your laughter dissipates. “You truly are a magician then, darling,” Nemuri hums, sipping on her drink.
You gape at your friends, slightly offended by their words. You haven’t exactly been the most chipper person in the world since your reveal last Friday, but you’re not walking around like the world is about to end either.
“Hey, I smile,” you protest. “I’m just…thinking about things.”
Things like if you’re going to keep your job. Things like if the police chief will change his mind and charge you as a criminal. Things like if things will change for you for the worse. Even now, the halls of UA are talking.
You get kids coming into your office just to gush about your moves, especially Izuku Midoriya. He’s even put you in his notebook, asking you all kinds of questions about your quirk and hero fit. “What does it look like?” he asked with stars in his eyes earlier on Monday. “You’re really, super flexible! Can you still move in it? Does it come with claws?”
Though it was adorable, you had to hustle him out of your room just to get a breather in. Even worse are the news people who seem to know everywhere you go now.
Just yesterday, you were taking a jog in the park and you were accosted by a newsman and his camera crew, asking you about your day and if you’re a professional hero.
You know that it’s only a matter of time until someone starts asking questions like, “Do you go to the bathroom in a litter box?”
To be honest, you don’t even know if you want to be a pro-hero. Though the idea of it is fantastical and alluring, that also comes with brutal training, fighting villains almost every day, and constant, unwanted attention. You don’t know if you could handle all of that, let alone the transition from being a nobody into a celebrity. The idea of it frightens you.
Mic shakes the ice shaker filled with the contents of his cocktail, definitely having the means of a bartender if he wasn’t a hero. “Like about how you kicked that villain’s ass last week and ate up the cameras in the process?” he chuckles. "I’m still thinking about that too. You were amazing!”
You smile despite your indifference. You don’t feel too amazing. “As nice as this of you to say, Mic, that doesn’t change the fact that I could possibly lose my job now that everyone knows who I am.”
Though Nezu hasn’t visited your office lately, you still can't help but be fearful of the police storming into your office or dorm room in the dead of night one day.
Nemuri slings an arm around the back of the couch, her knees curled up under her sundress as she sips her drink. “Well, the chief didn’t take you in, so I’d think you’re in the clear.”
You shake your head, getting yourself worked up as you think of all of the possible things that could go wrong. “For now!” you argue. “Now that the chief has officially met me, I doubt he’s just gonna let me go free with all the buzz on me now. I still don’t have a license or–“
There is a sudden loud knock at the door, making you and Nemuri jump. “Who the hell is that?” Mic asks, scowling at Nemuri’s door.
You go to get up, but he beats you to it, already making wide strides toward the door on his long legs. Anxiety shoots into your body, making your heart pound in your chest. Nemuri puts a hand on your knee and you realize it’s to stop it from bouncing. “Yes?” he firmly calls.
“Amazon package,” a very gruff, deep, and familiar voice answers. A smile curls onto Mic’s lips and he winks at you before opening the door.
You nearly spill your drink at how fast you get up from the couch. Aizawa stands there in the tightest shirt you’ve ever seen on a man and jeans, his black locks calling carelessly down his shoulders. It’s so harrowing to see him there after not seeing much since last Friday. “Shouta?” you softly gasp. “What are you here?”
He doesn’t say a single word as he comes into Nemuri’s dorm and storms right over to you in four, long strides. You can’t do anything but gasp as his large hands cup your face and he smashes his lips against yours in a hot, toe-curling kiss.
Your eyes close instinctively, your senses overtaken by the softness of his lips, the mint on his tongue, and the scent of his cologne. The hairs on the back of your neck and the fur on your tail stand on end, excited by the stimulation.
“Oh, my!” Nemrui gasps from the couch in delighted shock. Knowing Mic, he’s probably just grinning at you two, knowing full well this was going to happen. That’s why he opened the door.
Finally, Aizawa pulls away from your mouth, his charcoal eyes soft yet intense. “That was for your sweet ass apology,” he breathlessly explains.
From the door, Mic clears his throat. “U-Uh we should give them privacy,” he says, already heading for the balcony. “Come on now, Nemuri. Give ‘em some room.” Though she huffs in protest, Nemuri gathers her drink and meets Mic out on her balcony, shutting the door behind them.
Your dizzy mind manages to piece together Aizawa’s cryptic words and your ears perk up excitedly. “So you got your present?” you ask with a beaming smile.
Aizawa returns your smile, looking unbelievably more beautiful with it. “Eri was so excited when she saw her all wrapped up at our door, I had to get Mirio to come over to calm her ass down. You didn’t have to do that, you know.”
“Yes, I did,” you pointedly argue. “I’ve been lying to you and her for so long.” You plant your hands on his broad shoulders, breathing in his scent. God, you’ve missed his smell. “Neither one of you deserved to be deceived like that,” you mutter, staring down at your shoes, ashamed of yourself and your decisions.
“I know why you did it though,” Aizawa replies, holding you by your waist. “You felt if you didn’t, you’d be taking away the happiness you thought you gave us while pretending to be our pet. But you’re totally wrong about that, Y/N.”
He tilts your chin up towards his face with his thumb, making you look into his eyes that sparkle with adoration. “It’s you who makes us happy. You make me happy.”
You swear you could touch the moon now. You’re just about bursting with joy as you wrap your arms around him, pressing your face into his chest. “You make me happy too,” you softly giggle. Aizawa returns your embrace, his arms wrapped securely around your small frame. With the wall between you now broken, you feel like anything is possible now.
“So how’d things go once I left on Friday?” you curiously ask. “Did Endeavor pop a gasket?” Aizawa smirks down at you.
“Several,” he replies, making you laugh. “Oh, and Hawks told me to pass you his number since you told him we’re friends. I threatened to skin him like a turkey if he tried it.”
You let out another belly laugh, imagining Aizawa giving Hawks one of his death stares. But the happiness you feel doesn’t last long when you remember one important part of that day. “What about the police chief?” you nervously ask. “And Principal Nezu?”
Aizawa’s smile doesn’t falter. “Nezu already knew you were Night Claw.” You blink up at him, baffled. “W-What?” you stutter, wondering how in the hell your boss is this smart, or if you’re just that stupid. “Why didn’t he say anything?”
Aizawa presses a hand to your cheek, his thumb stroking the corner of your lip and making your tail embarrassingly quiver. “Because he never had a reason to unless you were a threat to UA, which you aren’t. You’re a big asset here according to him. Plus, even if he did wanna kick you out, I’d vouch for you. It’s what I owe to you since you’ve saved my life many times.”
You smile, grateful for him having your back. “As for the police chief, we had a chat earlier and he agreed to let you off the hook despite the buzz. The HPSC is on my ass about wanting you to join them too.”
You sigh, feeling relief overflowing inside you like a warm wave. You can’t believe your luck! Is God or the universe throwing you a bone?
“But,” Aizawa continues, making you stop short and not celebrate so quickly, “if you wanna continue fighting as Night Claw, you’ll have to take a few heroes courses and get your license. Lucky for you, there’s an adult six-month program that UA offers to staff for free here. If you take it, you’ll learn everything you need to know about being a pro, if you want that.”
You laugh softly to yourself, not believing your luck. This is just too much. “I don’t know what to say,” you confess, grasping Aizawa’s shoulders. “It’s almost like I’m dreaming.”
A secretive smile crosses his plump lips, a hidden message in his dark eyes. “Wanna check?” he murmurs.
Do you ever! He lets you make the first move this time, his lips ready and willing when you press your mouth against his in another kiss. You softly moan at the taste of him, forgetting how amazing it feels to be kissing him. He holds you closer as your lips move against each other, his big, calloused hands moving to cup your ass while your arms loop around his neck. You want him as close as he could possibly get after so many days without him.
When he suddenly pulls away, you whine in protest, earning a throaty chuckle. “I almost neglected to tell you that I’m a professor for the adult pro-hero program,” he huskily informs you. “I teach training.”
At his heated stare, a warmth begins to pool between your inner thighs that you have missed. You haven’t gotten this horny in weeks. “Oh?” you purr, playfully smiling up at him. “What kind of physical activities do you specialize in?”
Your head leans to the side as he swoops in, devouring your neck and bathing it in kisses that have your eyes fluttering closed. “Hand-to-hand combat,” he murmurs against your skin, "fighting with quirks, stuff along those lines.”
One of his hands trails down farther while one strays gripping your ass, making your clit jump excitedly. “But with you, I believe you could use additional…”
His fingers gently brush your trail, earning a soft moan from deep within you. “Hands-on training,” he purrs in your ear.
God, yes. You don’t care what the fuck he wanted to do, as long as he ends up on top of you. “Can we start now?” you mewl pathetically, moving away to stare at him pleadingly.
Though he has the same lust in his eyes, he has way more self-control than you, obviously. “Not that I don’t mind somethin’ kinky now and again,” he chuckles, “but would you rather have an audience for that?”
His eyes trail over your shoulder and you turn, finding Mic and Nemuri’s heads peeking from behind the balcony door. You put your hands on your hips, staring at them pointedly as if you were a Black mom staring at her badass kids. Mic immediately breaks and points at Nemuri, terrified. “She made me do it!” he cries.
Nemuri’s eyes flick between yours and Aizawa’s, her face beat red. “U-Uh…don’t mind us!” she hurriedly exclaims, shoving Mic back outside. “Go on and finish chatting!” She then disappears back onto the balcony and shuts the door though you can hear her yelling at Mic about being a snitch.
You and Aizawa look at each other once and immediately burst into laughter. It feels good to laugh with him. To talk to him. The feeling you get being with him is unlike any other you’ve felt. It feels like being wrapped in the warmest, softest blanket you’ve ever had the pleasure of touching.
When your laughter finally dies down, Aizawa speaks once more. “I actually also came over to ask if you wanted to join Eri and me for dinner later.”
Your heart leaps at the invitation, already on the cusp of saying yes despite Aizawa still speaking. "We’re having pizza…nothin’ homemade though. And watching Into the Spider-verse ‘cause Eri is hellbent on seeing the sequel tomorrow.” He looks down at the floor, bashful all of a sudden. “She also asked if you wanted to go too, but I told her to may be busy, s-so–”
You stop him with a kiss, hoping he’ll get the message through your action: I’ll go anywhere you go.
But instead of saying that, you pull away and give him a smile. “I’d love to,” you whisper.

You know….while that is absolutly messed up…..it is kinda a good thing to teach if they’re gonna be heroes, who’s identity’s will be knows so their loved ones could be at risk
Though if they should have been told it was a training exorcize or not is something I’m wondering
Cause on one hand, it was absolutly traumatizing for them and they did have a lesson simular to this where they were told it was fake, and they still treated it serious
But on the other hand, them not knowing did show how they would naturally react, and what they would do if they actually thought their loved ones were in danger
So moral of the story
Teenagers should not be put through hero classes, and should wait til they’re adults
Like it is important to teach.
But like.
I don't even think it's a teens vs. adults thing here because that would've been traumatizing for adults too.
The whole point of them having a school for Heroes is that they should be able to learn in a safe environment where danger is minimal, and if something goes wrong the adults can handle it.
So it would've been fine if they were told beforehand 'we're going to do a training exercise of a hostage situation where your parents are playing the hostages'. Even with knowing that the danger is minimal, the addition of their family members as hostages would still have caused that extra uptick in high-emotions that can cloud vision.
It's also....
It's not really 'teaching' is it? It's sink or swim teaching. Yeet the child in the water and they'll either learn to swim and be fine, or they won't and they'll end up with a near-death experience, trust issues, and a fear of water for the rest of their life.
'Teaching' would be Aizawa observing but giving instructions on how to handle such a situation. How to negotiate, how to distract the Villain and rescue the civilians, how to handle a civilian going rogue and trying to be a Hero themselves, etc. Not just setting up a scenario and saying 'figure it out'.

How Is This Place Worse Than Australia?
Chapter 1: Welcome to UA, Here’s A Quirk Assessment Test, Have Fun With That!
AO3
Chapters: 0, 1
"What did you want to talk to me about?” I politely question the mammalian principle, who continues to sip his tea thinking for a moment before putting it down on the small coffee table between us.
“I was wondering how Eraserhead got you to agree to teach here, after all you are known for being one of the busiest heroes in the world, you work 19 hours a day almost every day of the year and offer to work on overseas cases in your free time.” He stated as I took a sip from my teacup.
“He called in a debt that I owed him from when he saved my life a couple of years ago, I cleared some of my schedule and switched my cases in Australia for the Japanese cases that I was working on prior and here I am.” I tell Nedzu, who looks at me with his intelligent eyes which seem to be looking into my soul.
“So, he didn’t mention the whispers of an attack at UA then guilt trip you here using the debt as a secondary reason, his persuasive skills need improving then.” Not looking into my soul then, just reading my body language to get the data that he was looking for.
“Well, he did that too, but I didn’t think that you would appreciate knowing that one of your more senior staff was looking down at the school’s security and the student safety protocol. Also, you seem to be getting rusty, he mentioned that you were letting All Might teach here and the only teaching position that had constant free lessons when he was teaching was International Studies. So, I’m here to make sure that All Might doesn’t do anything too stupid because he is underqualified for teaching. If you don’t mind it's 20 minutes until class starts and I want to talk to Eraserhead before he starts his first lesson,” I say as I stand up and walk to the door before bowing respectfully to Nedzu, grabbing the class notes and putting them into my book bag before leaving his office to hunt down Aizawa.
I caught up with Aizawa 10 minutes before class started in the staff room. He was laying under his desk in his sleeping bag looking over some notes from what I can assume is either a case file or his class files. I sat down on his office chair that was pulled out from under his desk, lowering it so that I could sit comfortably while talking to his caterpillar self. “Which training ground are you going to use for their quirk assessment?” I asked, looking into his eyes as he shifted his gaze away from the papers.
“P.E. Training Grounds, do you want to act as a student for it? It would give them a comparison with what someone their age can do with a bit of training once we reveal it.” I shake my head in response.
“I’d rather blend in with the class but analyse their quirks instead.”
“Well, you better get on your way then or else I’m going to have to lecture you for being late,” Aizawa snarks as he slides out from under his desk looking over at the clock that reads 8:23, two minutes until homegroup starts. I quickly walked out of the homeroom towards class 1-A which was thankfully just around the corner managing to slip past three students who were talking in the doorway. I walked to the lonely desk at the back of the room that I can assume Nedzu or Aizawa had placed there for this exact reason. The table was placed in the middle at the back of the room between a tall brown-haired student and a student with red and white hair and a scar who I can only assume to be Endeavour's son, Todoroki Shouto.
I placed my book bag on the ground next to the table resisting the urge to take out the class file that I was given in Nedzu’s office to discover the names and quirks of the students in this class. Instead, I looked across the room seeing that the conversation that the three were having in the doorway had come to a halt as Aizawa was lying on the ground in the doorway still in his bright yellow sleeping bag.
“Welcome to UA’s hero course. It took eight seconds for you all to shut up, that's not going to work, rational students would understand that. Hello, I’m Shouta Aizawa, your teacher. Right let's get to it, put these on and head outside.” He instructed the class pausing between sentences to look over the classroom making eye contact with me. The class walked hurriedly to the front and grabbed their P.E. uniforms before heading to the changing rooms, I was slightly thankful that nobody had noticed or commented on me not wearing the proper uniform, considering that I was only wearing the uniform dress pants and a white button up shirt.
Once in the changing rooms I realised that changing might be an issue, my scars would be an obvious signal that I wasn’t a regular student, so I used my shadow to create a thin layer over my skin in areas with lots of scars while I slipped off my shirt and into the P.E. uniform. It attracted a bit of attention but was easy to wave off as part of my quirk. I was changed quickly and hurried out onto the P.E. grounds for the quirk assessment, I got there as Aizawa walked out of the building, he looked me over giving me a slight nod as some other students started to slowly finish changing and headed over to where we were, he subtly gestured to a notebook sitting open in the shadows of the building with a pen lying next to it. I looked over at it using my quirk to lift the pen resting it on the page, prepared to take notes on the students' quirks and what I think that they could do to improve control over them. Slowly the rest of the class approached the group, and I could tell that Aizawa thought that they took too long changing.
Once Aizawa had scolded class 1A for taking so long he began to introduce the quirk assessment. Aizawa informed the class that it was like their usual school physical assessments in P.E., but they were allowed to use their quirk to assist them in any way that they can think of. He then got an angry blonde student with an explosion quirk to toss the ball as far as he could using his quirk, the ball flew 705.2 metres as shown by Aizawa’s phone.
The class went through the quirk assessment with only a few weird looks as to why I wasn’t joining in that I brushed off, focusing on analysing their quirks noting that a green haired otherwise plain looking boy wasn’t using a quirk seeming to struggle, a bit anxiety getting the better of him. I noticed Aizawa looking critically at him, seemingly judging his worth and possibly considering expelling him. I looked directly at Aizawa, getting his attention and shook my head at him. Aizawa was too far away to hear it, but the green haired boy was analysing his classmates' quirks with the same quality as a trained analyst while doing the assessment, probably as a nervous reaction.
When the class went back to do the ball toss Aizawa singled out the green haired boy, Midoriya, about how he was planning to use his self-destructive quirk recklessly after cancelling his quirk. Midoriya looked taken aback by what Aizawa had said for a second before nodding to himself grabbing the ball and throwing it, I could see that he was going to try something and that his quirk was either new or he hadn’t had the ability to train it by how he pushed all of the power that it generated into and out through his finger to propel the ball 705.3 metres. The finger was purple and obviously broken from the amount of force that was pushed through it.
He turned to Aizawa and said something while I was focusing on the reaction of a blonde-haired student who yelled at Midoriya while he threw the ball. He moved towards Midoriya aggressively, explosions bursting forwards from his palms as I wrapped a shadow around his ankle and Aizawa erased his quirk. I released his ankle as Aizawa wrapped him in his capture weapon and pulled him towards him staring into Bakugou’s eyes as he scolded him for attempting to attack a classmate.
Once Aizawa had put Bakugou down he turned to the screen and displayed the results. They were just about what I expected with the recommendation students ahead of the class and Midoriya who hadn’t used his quirk until the ball toss in last place.
“Are you going to expel any of them, they all show some potential though I don’t like how Mineta looks at the girls?”
“No, I’ll have a conversation with Mineta if anyone complains or you notice him acting on his impulses.”
The class turned towards me and Aizawa, Midoriya looking clearly put out expecting Aizawa to follow through on his earlier plan of expulsion. “I am not going to expel any of you, it was a logical ruse.” Midoriya relaxed and some of the students started to grumble about being tricked when a recommendation student, Momo began talking.
“I thought everyone knew that it was a trick to get us to do our best, nobody would approve of a student getting expelled on the first day of classes.” I sighed clearly, even the recommendation students don’t know how free UA’s teachers really are with their teaching, especially Aizawa.
“Actually, Aizawa has a history of expelling students including several first day expulsions. In fact just last year he had expelled his entire first year class in the first week of school and he has the highest overall expulsion number in the whole school despite being a relatively new teacher. If you don’t meet his standards, you won’t last long in this class, especially if you don’t show that you can or want to improve and become the best that you can.” Class 1A looked at me in shock as Aizawa sighed, shaking his head at my antics.
“Yes, I do have the highest number of expulsions of the teachers, but you all showed that you are interested in trying your best and improving your skills, hopefully both with and without the use of your quirks. Anyway, get changed out of your P.E. uniforms and head back to the classroom where I will run you through the curriculum, teaching staff, rules and expectations of being a UA student and especially one of my students.” I turned and headed to the changerooms as he finished his sentence followed a few moments after by Momo the other girls.
I entered Class 1A after changing out of the P.E. uniform. Aizawa wasn’t in the class yet, most likely getting the class's time table and curriculum guides from his desk in the staff room. I wandered back over to the desk at the back of the classroom leaning back in the chair and staring up at the ceiling as the rest of the class filtered into the room with Aizawa following shortly after calling me over to hand out the curriculum guide as he ran through the main subjects for the first-year hero course on the board. After giving everyone their timetables and curriculum guide, I sat down at the back of the class and pulled out a different notebook than the one that I had used for analysis earlier and started to make a lesson plan for the following day’s international heroics lesson.
I focused back onto what was being said as Aizawa was explaining the optional classes for 2nd and 3rd years and that while they had to be completed before graduation you could choose what year you did them in, these classes included international heroics, underground heroics, support heroics and forming a hero agency. Aizawa then faced the class and with the most tired of life expression asked, “Are there any questions about how things will be running this year?”
Immediately several hands shot up across the classroom. Aizawa’s eyes slid across them looking to see who he should ask first, most likely trying to identify the more responsible students. Finally he gestures for Iida to ask his question. “Didn’t you say there are only 20 students per class, and why aren’t you strictly enforcing the uniform policy, there are several people in the room not wearing their uniforms correctly?”
“There are 20 students in the class, the table at the back of the room is for the international heroics teacher when they supervise All Might’s foundational heroics lessons as he is yet to get his full teaching license, in fact they have been sitting in here the whole time as they don’t have anything better to do today. As for not enforcing the uniform policy, the ties are optional and as the years go on less and less people wear them.”
“What, are you not going to introduce me to the class Aizawa? That's a bit rude isn’t it.”
“Class 1A this is the international heroics teacher, Jonni Mohanjot more commonly known as the Australian vigilante Midnight Hunter or the Pro Hero Eclipse, if there are any more questions about them, please direct it their way otherwise. Put your hands up for questions about the class work.” There was silence and nobody put their hand up to ask a question.
“Then feel free to use this time to get to know each other. Just keep the noise down, only wake me up if there is an emergency.” As soon as Aizawa crawled back into his sleeping bag, he slid under the table and seemed to go to sleep.
The class paused, seemingly processing what Aizawa had said. I started to gather my stuff before people got up and started to move around the room. I headed towards the staff room hoping to find All Might and run through the lesson plan for the first foundational heroics lesson. Upon entering the staff room, I noticed All Might wasn’t there despite having a free period. Assuming that he was out on patrol I put my analysis notebook on Aizawa’s desk and sat down at my desk to finish my international heroics lesson plan hoping to catch All Might in the staff room before his first year heroics lesson tomorrow.

Seat 21 - Chapter Two
A/N - welcome to chapter two y’all! i’ve actually had this one written for awhile, i just wanted to make sure it was perfect before posting. enjoy!!
Aizawa Shouta, my homeroom teacher. The man who will decide my fate at this school. Is the famous underground hero; Eraserhead.
He would have to be daft to not recognise my name.
It was her case that brought his career briefly up from the underground society.
Though, seeing him now, I can’t imagine he’s one for fame and praise.
Aching legs match my heart. There’s no point trying to fight my case.
“Mayumi…” Dark Shadow’s concerned whisper echoes behind me. Tokoyami’s eyes mirror her tone.
I’ll be fine. I suspected this would happen.
My shoes have a lonely echo in the change room. I savour putting on the U.A uniform; with its short lived life. Other girls enter just as I leave.
The pink girl, then the bubbly girl from before class.
The classroom is still empty when I go back.
Footsteps, and a door. I hurry to pack quicker.
A deep sigh.
“Put your things back. No-one’s getting expelled.” Aizawa-sensei. I can’t bring myself to look at him.
I understand you don’t want me here. I failed your test. My hands flick instinctively, before catching myself. I can’t just assume he understands.
I reach for a pen.
“Yes, you did come last. That doesn’t mean you failed.” A bone-deep tiredness resides in his voice.
Even so. You don’t want me. It would be idiotic to think you didn’t know who I was.
“It would be idiotic of me to not know who you are.” Heavy footsteps come closer, and fear pricks at my eyes.
The ragged man crouches down before my desk, looking up at me.
“I do know who you are, Hinode Mayumi. But you should not be punished for Kaori’s actions.” He says it so simply. So, factually.
“You can stay.”
I feel my lip warble, brushing against my mask.
Thank you. I sign, tears swelling.
I don’t question his confidence. I don’t question how he understands my hands. I just bask in gratefulness.
A firm nod, and Aizawa sensei stands; shoving his hands in his pockets and wandering to the front of the class.
Not long after, my peers start filing in. I get a warm nod from Tokoyami, and an affectionate bump from Dark.
Maybe, just maybe.
I’ve finally found a place for me.
-
Week one passes smoothly - and quickly. Classes settle into a new routine. Friendships start to form; Iida, Midoriya and Ururaka becoming the predictiblly popular triad.
Homeroom with Aizawa sensei is always a generally stress-free start to the mornings - especially considering the following classes. Oddly enough, Aizawa sensei is the only teacher who prefers for us to use his given name.
So, the next class is English with Present Mic sensei; though he insists that Mic sensei is fine. Thankfully, he read my email along with my student records so is more than happy for me to skip oral exercises for the moment. Though, he was very hopeful that I’d be “comfortable and confident enough” to speak with him before exams came around.
Despite his near-obnoxious demeanor; he is easily the kindest teacher I have.
Cementoss sensei is also kind, though a little bland in his teachings. In his defense, there is only so many ways to make Modern Literature engaging.
Midnight sensei is lovely. Her sexual nature in the media admittedly had me a little nervous, but she’s a splendid teacher. She’s so passionate about not only art and heroics, but her students. Despite this, some still seem to chalk her up to her media presence. I’m not fond of how Mineta acts around her.
Ectoplasm sensei isn’t unkind; but he doesn’t have that same connection with the class like our other teachers. But his maths skills are more than admirable.
But there’s only one class that truely matters at U.A.
Heroics.
Aizawa sensei has been teaching us theory lessons, leaving us with a promise of practical lessons in the near future. Rumours of us getting taught by All Might himself circle around the school.
And lo-and-behold, when the day of our first practical lesson arrives; it is none other than the Number 1 hero; All Might, waiting in Ground B.
If the excitement of All Might wasn’t enough, everyone is buzzing with the chance to wear their hero costumes for the first time.
The sunset leotard is tighter than expected, and the overskirt more sheer. But, the gloves fit perfectly, and the slit in the skirt is high enough for me to fully extend my limbs.
Other girls in the changeroom mumble similar problems; Uraraka and Yaoyorozu being the most uncomfortable. At some points, I want nothing more than to join in. To comfort them, or confide that I’m also uncomfortable with how my design was interpreted.
But, these girls seem far too kind to risk.
Eventually we all file out of the changerooms, joining the rest of the class. Unsurprisingly, the boys have no issues with their costumes.
The exercise is simple; everyone is to pair up. Half will be assigned heroes, and the other half villains. The hero team will need to infiltrate the building and capture a faux bomb that the villain team are protecting.
I go towards Tokoyami without thought nor question, and he does the same.
“All Might sensei? How can we work in teams when there’s an odd number of us?” Midoriya pipes up, anxious voice warbling. I do a mental tally; only to realise that yes - he’s right.
“Good observation Young Midoriya! Miss Hinode will of course, not be participating due to the danger she poses to the class.” The teacher’s voice booms.
My brain goes numb.
I’m dangerous.
All Might thinks I’m a danger.
He thinks I would hurt my class.
He thinks I’m just like her.
Stunned silence.
Heat burns my neck, burns my ears.
My lungs burn with shame.
Eyes bore into me; burning me even more.
With a loud clap, All Might gets the class moving.
I sit in the fabricated street as the faux battles go on. The roughly woven fabric leaves itchy, angry marks on my skin.
I don’t dare move.
I sit there, labelled too dangerous to participate, as another student delivers grievous wounds.
I sit there, called everything but a villain, as Midoriya is rushed to Recovery Girl by All Might.
Part of me longs to go after the boy I relate to so much; to be a helping hand. To be a friend.
But if the number one hero deems you a threat, it seems best to stay away from his number one fan.

Note
I sincerely apologize if I insulted you. That was not my intent at all.
You are correct that Aizawa’s practice is terrible if we take only canon information before 254 into account and is probably still pretty terrible after.
However, just because this trait isn’t productive as shown in the series doesn’t mean it doesn’t have the potential to be. I have been trying to prompt you to imagine such a scenario since you are clearly a very creative individual who writes amazing stories, but if this is the thing that is beyond your ability to imagine, that’s fine. I can spell it out for you.
Here’s the problem: We don’t have that much canon information to work with in the first place. We get the minimum possible information to establish Aizawa as expulsion happy and are expected, as readers, to fill in the many blanks ourselves. You have clearly chosen to do so in a way that paints Aizawa as being that bad or worse all the time given your vehemence that this is the only possible interpretation of events.
You keep pointing out that this is a permanent black mark on the student records. What about the other side of the coin? Where the hero industry is incredibly dangerous and quirks can be highly lethal? You know, the very thing that the USJ lesson was supposed to be highlighting according to Thirteen before the LoV attacked?
These kids have potentially lethal abilities and training and are going to be going into a profession that will threaten life and limb on a regular basis. I myself would sooner put a permanent black mark on a student’s record than risk them being one more corpse on the streets or getting others, like a classmate, killed. First year should be the safest a hero course gets, and there are several close calls in the series itself, some of which aren’t even related to villain attacks.
Honestly, for as expulsion-happy as Aizawa is supposed to be, there are spots where I honestly think he isn’t expulsion-happy enough. Such as Katsuki in the battle trial. He should have booted him that same day or at least the next morning and we all would have cheered him for it.
I think a lot of Aizawa hate comes from the fact that he is seen as an obstacle for our favorite protagonist, Izuku. I agree that Aizawa should have done more to help Izuku overcome his self-destructive issues, but he isn’t wrong that a kid so self-destructive that he cripples himself with each use of his quirk is a bad fit for heroics. A conclusion that Izuku proves right by wrecking his arms past the point that Recovery Girl can heal them. Aizawa isn’t right about Izuku, but he’s not necessarily wrong either and Izuku pays the price for not learning that lesson soon enough.
The main issue with Aizawa as a teacher isn’t just the threat of expulsion, it’s the fact that he’s very hands-off in his sink-or-swim style. There’s a lesson to be had in his expulsion threats, but he just isn’t involved enough in canon to make it viable. Most writers lean into tired hands-off Aizawa and drop the expulsion aspect to make him palatable. However, to fully explore the expulsion-as-teaching method, we have to make Aizawa more involved with his students.
So here goes:
Aizawa prepares some very well-researched files on each of his students and is very concerned at Izuku’s listing him as quirkless (among other things), but chalks it up to him being a rare late bloomer and puts together a list of trustworthy quirk counselors who specialize in late bloomers/difficult quirks that he intends to give Izuku day one.
The expulsion scare for the quirk assessment test is half a logical ruse to light a fire under the class’s butts. He was still prepared to follow through if someone got last place from half-assign it, but that didn’t happen.
When Aizawa hands out schedules after the assessment, Katsuki nearly explodes at seeing guidance counseling on his. This prompts everyone to check and see that, yes, they all have scheduled guidance counseling as well. Aizawa tells them that regular guidance counseling is mandatory under threat of expulsion. Because every pro hero needs therapy and far too few get it, so they’re going to be developing good habits starting now.
Aizawa takes Izuku aside after dismissing everyone that first day and tells him that he needs to get his quirk under control and if he breaks any more bones in class, he’s expelled, listing off several heroes that Izuku’s never heard of who all were crippled in the line of duty by being reckless. He follows that up with the list of quirk counselors for Izuku to look into.
The battle trial happens as in canon and Aizawa is livid. Bakugou is expelled to Gen-Ed the next morning before class starts, very publicly, for reckless endangerment of his classmates and “excessive force in a load-bearing environment”. He has to write a 10-page research paper on the dangers of destructive quirk use indoors, citing at least 5 different news articles where someone lost their lives as a result and will not be allowed back in the classroom until he can produce a paper worthy of at least a 90 grade. Also, because Aizawa believes in equal-opportunity unfairness, the rest of the class has to write a 2-3 page paper on the same topic referencing at least 1 news article.
Aizawa tells Izuku that Katsuki’s deadly attack is the only reason he isn’t being expelled as well and to see him after class. Talking with Izuku about what happened makes Aizawa realize just how damaged Izuku really is. He’s a natural self-sacrificing idiot (good for heroics, bad for self-preservation) with a self-destructive quirk and a potentially fatal lack of self-worth. He understands in that moment that threatening expulsion will not work on Izuku because he doesn’t care enough about himself to give that any teeth, but he needs something to keep the kid from crippling himself in the short-term so he can get to the point that he isn’t breaking himself all the time. So Aizawa does something he really didn’t want to ever do and threatens to expel Uraraka as well if Izuku breaks any more bones in class. He does not mean this and is praying like crazy that Izuku does not call his bluff even as he is listing incidents where people died because the hero on scene was too injured (from being reckless) to help. He then starts suggesting everything Izuku can do to get it under control, from daily quirk counseling (starting that same afternoon) to just talking it out with his classmates or even just practicing with activating his quirk without doing anything with it. Whatever it takes to get him past the bone-breaking stage. (Izuku shakingly takes this to heart and attacks his own quirk in counseling and study groups with an analysis fervor beyond anything he’s ever shown before, figuring out Full Cowling before the USJ and Aizawa is so proud and relieved when he can rescind the expulsion threat against Uraraka and just limit it to Izuku himself.)
+1 - “I am here to help you be the best heroes you can possibly be, and if you ever make me think that your best potential is a corpse or an enabler of corpses, I will expel you so hard you would think All Might punted you out the door himself and then <I>re-enroll you just so I can expel you again</I>. Hate me if you want, <i>I don’t care</I>.”
+2 - Aizawa has a near encyclopedic knowledge of heroes getting themselves or others crippled or killed on the job through recklessness, showboating, or incompetence. He will cheerfully whip out such examples any time they seem appropriate to the situation.
I know you like quoting canon at me, but the point of fanfiction is to go beyond canon. To fill in the gaps that the original creators left. If on this point you honestly can’t look past canon to see potential, then I genuinely have nothing more to say on the subject. Thank you for taking the time to debate me.
On 254 being a retcon for Aizawa’s expulsion tactics: I’m not so sure. I think the intention was always to go that way, but the writing was never able to focus enough on class life to the point that it could be established and built upon as we just jumped from crisis to crisis. I agree that the practice as shown is detrimental, but I disagree on the idea that it is completely devoid of potential. To me, that is as shortsighted as declaring certain quirks inherently villainous.
what.
I--
sorry hold on let me see if I can understand this.
You're suggesting that me saying Aizawa placing a permanent black mark and traumatizing his students for no benefit is bad, is the same as me declaring that a Quirk is inherently Villainous.
Not only is that one of the single dumbest takes I have ever had the displeasure of reading with my own eyes, you're also leveling personal insults at me. What the fuck. Why-- are you okay? WHat the fuck.
Honestly I've blocked people for less. I could easily justify deleting this ask, blocking you, and going about the rest of my life a happier person. But I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt. Don't waste it.
So let's ignore your strong implication that I'm discriminating against poor little aizawa who just wants to cause unrelenting and incredible stress to his students for again, no benefit, and focus on the actual meat of your argument here.
Are you aware that in Japan, High School is not compulsory? From the perspective of his students, Aizawa is not only threatening their time at UA, but any high school at all. That Black Mark is still on the records of the students he expelled! I'm not making that up! I'm not exaggerating!
He never indicates that he transfers them to Gen-Ed for 250 chapters. We have no reason to believe that he transfers them to Gen-Ed before this. Even if it was hypothetically planned from the start instead of something to retroactively make him look like he isn't ruining he futures of these students by throwing them out of the top school in Japan with a Black Mark damn-near ensuring that none of them are ever accepted into a High School, it's still a shitty retcon because there's no foreshadowing! There is no reason to believe otherwise! Hell, we're given every reason to believe him at face value!
If Aizawa really did renroll them, then it should've been listed there in the records All Might read, or Aizawa should've said something about it. The line about ending half-assed dreams is practically confirmation that they are kicked out of UA. There is no reason to say that if he intends on renrolling them.
Unless, of course, it was a retcon thrown in later.
Funny how when Shinsou talks about the possibility of taking someone's place in 1-A and them being move to Gen-Ed, he calls it a Transfer and not fucking Expulsion.
And we are now something like five asks deep in this chain of your insistence that Aizawa's expulsion do in fact have some level of value, but you've yet to identify a single case where they would be useful except when Bakugou knowingly and deliberately used lethal force against Midoriya. Congrats. The burden of proof is on you and all you can do is repeat the same line but slightly louder. That's not even Aizawa's expulsion scare tactics, that's how literally any school would function in the real world!
You want to convince me that Aizawa's expulsion threats have value? That's your fucking job to prove! Give me a decent example! What the fuck makes you think it's okay to tell me to convince myself and insult me for not doing so?!
