History of AMARG:

The 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG), commonly known as the "Boneyard," has a rich history deeply intertwined with the development of military aviation in the United States. Established in 1946 at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona, AMARG has played a vital role in the storage, maintenance, and eventual disposition of thousands of military aircraft.

▪️ПАССАЖИРЫ ⠀ Есть в Бангкоке одно интересное местечко-Airplane Graveyard. Там прямо на дороге, посередине жилых кварталов каким-то чудом оказались остовы нескольких самолётов. ⠀ Как они туда свалились, никому не известно, так как произошло это еще при царе Горохе. Однако в Азии ничего не пропадает, поэтому халявную жилплощадь тут же заселили. ⠀ Самое интересное, что территория частная, а пассажиры, проживающие в самолётах, там не только живут, но и охраняют территорию, попасть на которую стоит 300 бат с носа. Работает этот музей аэронавтики строго с 9:00 до 18:00. Я приехал туда в 18:10 и попасть внутрь так и не смог. ⠀ На все мои уговоры крупный осанистый и татуированный транс невозмутимо отвечал, что, мол, братан, завтра приход��-сегодня рабочий день закончен. Ему поддакивали чумазые дети и подкудахтывали курицы. ⠀ За забором виднелась целая банда из потягивающих пивко мужичков и суетящихся по хозяйству тётушек.Живут они здесь припеваючи. I can now say I’ve sat in all types of airplanes. I just had to pay the local homeless to get access to Economy Plus seating here. Also, the plane never took off and we were grounded the entire time. I deplaned obviously.
