She knew Aang was proud of her. She knew that Zuko was probably proud of her too. Katara wasn’t one to take her anger out on people, to seek revenge... at least not on innocent people. Yon Rha was anything but innocent. Part of her was glad that she didn’t kill Yon Rha, but a small part of her wondered why she didn’t.

She knew why.

She was not a killer.

Sighing loudly, she was... glad that she was finally able to forgive Zuko. Looking back, he had changed and matured so much from their first encounter. “I’ll save you from the pirates,” echoed in her mind as she thought back.

“Hello, Zuko here.” Laughing a little at her memory of when he wanted to join the Gaang, she sat at the shore under the moonlight, and she gazed down at the water, down at her reflection. He was an awkward guy, sure, but he had proved himself worthy of her trust.

Spirits, he even sat and waited outside her tent all night! She was glad she gave him her forgiveness, proud of him for all he had moved up from and grown, and her heart swelled a bit.

She didn’t hear the footsteps behind her and Katara sighed, waving her hand through the water.

He was much too quiet for much too long and Katara really thought she had messed up. Why would she out and say it? Because he asked you, the logical part of her brain told her. She felt like he was going to try to say they couldn’t be together, and she swallowed thickly.

So she was very surprised when he suddenly took a step forward and held her chin. Her face erupted into a blush and her heart was hammering; she could barely breathe at this anticipation. Gazing into his eyes, she thought he was going to kiss her, and she closed her eyes as his lips brushed against her forehead.

Sure, it wasn’t her lips but it still caused her breathing to be labored from her nerves. Her teeth caught her bottom lip and she wondered what all was going through his mind right now, hoping he would just say something.

“Zuko...?”

I'm fucked," Zuko slurs. "So fucked."

Jet laughs, and Zuko, in his hazed and drunken state, does not miss the way his friend's hands linger too long on his hips, scratching at his vee and abs. The action in itself makes the blood pool in his already half-hardened state, and he groans.

What the hell, he thinks, and he wraps his hand around Jet's strong arm. I'm already damned.

So he does what his drunk brain has been begging him to do for hours, and pulls Jet close, kissing him hard.

Jet doesn't hesitate. He pushes Zuko's shoulders, shoving him back until his back meets the cool wall, making Zuko gasp. Jet's mouth is demanding, unrelenting, and he kisses Zuko hard. There's spice and moonshine on Jet's tongue, filthy and dirty, and Zuko moans, hands scrabbling at Jet's back.

"Fuck, Zuko," Jet says, pulling away from Zuko's swollen mouth. He peppers soft kisses down the column of Zuko's throat, fingers imprinting their mark in Zuko's abs, his pecs, his vee. Zuko groans, cupping Jet's ass, panting, and Jet pulls away far enough to meet Zuko's heat filled gaze. "Wanna get out of here?"
