Hotel Review: Apollonia Royale Hotel
As we grow older, our likes and wants change. One thing that I noticed about myself is that I am now slowly changing from being a shopaholic girl to an adventurous traveler. And one thing I enjoy apart from traveling and trying out new activities is having a staycation. Well, ya! Who doesn’t love it, right?
Staycation for me doesn’t only mean splurging on luxurious and expensive hotels but it’s that kind of vacation where you get to spend special moments with your family/friends may it be a budget room, hostel, airbnb accommodation, etc. What’s important is that it feels like a home away from home.
So happy I found Apollonia Royale Hotel, a 3-star budget hotel along Angeles, Pampanga. Yes it’s a small and budget hotel but for me the moment you enter the hotel, it doesn’t feel like it. Feels like you’re in an expensive one. With the choice of interiors, fixtures and the overall vibe of the hotel, not to mention the hospitable and very accommodating staff, it seems that you are getting more of what you paid for.
Hotel lobby. Love the touch of orange couch and the beautiful wall painting.
They gave us welcome drinks (glass of iced tea) while they check our reservation. I love that the whole hotel has FAST wifi, even in the lobby so you won't mind waiting.
We got the Double Superior Room on the fifth floor. Going there was a breeze as they have a nice elevator (with a nice full length mirror!!) :)
When you enter the room you’ll have a cabinet with a safety box inside and beside it is a mini fridge. They provide (2) complimentary bottled water and a snack loot that you can avail on your expense.
The rooms there are specifically designed for two persons only that’s why it’s kinda small. But nevertheless it’s still very comfortable and homey. We got one Queen sized bed and one double bed. We are 4 adults and one 6-year old kid but we fit perfectly. You can also opt to have one King size bed. Flat screen Cable TV, nice airconditioning unit and two single-seater sofa are the other stuff inside.
Hot and Cold shower, a bidet and a lavatory with a big mirror inside the bathroom.
They have an in-house cafe named Pipa located in the lobby. It’s also there where you can order room service and where they serve the breakfast.
We dined there for dinner and all I can say is that the food was superb. Big serving, delicious taste. Worth the price! They have a good chef who is kind enough to accommodate us and explain us the meals we had. They offer a mix of International and Filipino food.
We had Rib-eye steak and Cordon Blue with fries and some veggies as side dish. We love the quality of the steak, perfectly grilled and smoothered with delicious pepper gravy.
Also love the big serving or Cordon Blue, nicely wrapped with the right amount of filling. Wish it has more cheese inside though.
Overall, I’m giving this hotel a 5/5 rating. With how it looks and the service they give, it is really worth it! I honestly had a bad impression while we are going their because of the crowded and slightly neighboring streets that we saw on the way but the exact location of the hotel itself is very clean, safe and peaceful. We’ll definitely be back here for another staycation.
