Whirlwind!
Tumblr media
Whirlwind is an air core from Spyro's adventure. She is the first dragon of her element. Her primary attack is to shoot rainbows out of the horn on her head while her secondary is to flap her wings in front of her and summon a tempest cloud. Her tertiary, much like Sonic Boom's, is flying. Her top upgrade path alters her rainbows, while her bottom path enhances her clouds. Both upgrade paths are very useful, and very fun to use. If you enjoy large, timed attacks, go with the rainbow path, as it unlocks a new ability for you: charging your rainbow attack causes a large explosion. Personally, I prefer the lower path, as it allows you to turn your tempest clouds into an electrical trap for enemies. Her soul gem is special; Whirlwind is the only skylander who can heal other skylanders! If you play a lot of co-op, or have 2 working controllers, this ability becomes indispensable. I love this character. Her only downside is that the flight is a little hard to steer, but that's seriously it. Overall: 10/10, absolutely grab. Even if you have other air skylanders, even if you have other fast skylanders, even if you have other dragons. The healing is indispensable and she hits hard, no matter what upgrade path you take her down.
If you would like to play as a similar character, I'd recommend Sonic Boom, Cynder, Spyro, and Voodood (all of Spyro’s Adventure.)
If you would like to play co-op and need a friend that will work well, I’d recommend a shortranger, or a character with less heath than her. She pairs well with a heavy tank, like Boomer, with Camo (both of Spyro’s Adventure), and, like most dragons, pairs well with most dragons.

You Keister Tell That the Actors Really Enjoyed Their Dash
Players will find that prevailing of these graphical changes help to add to the mysticism that surrounds the Skylanders. Creature of the biggest visual additions is over against the Elemental areas. These no longer call up like partisan areas merely blocked unharmonious with an elemental symbol, and instead have upgraded animations against give alter ego a and all wizardlike €oomph.' When you approach these gated areas, you'll notice the entire environment changes. On arrival at the Life gates, leafy plants sprout up in cloak concerning you; with Undead zones, the skies grow darker, and a cashiering made of tintinnabula rises leaving out the ground over against obstipate your entry;
Soup areas share you the condolence upon walking onto a nest attended by a gentle brew blowing delicately in your face - and these are only a few of the Postnatal areas you will get to explore concerning your journey! Additionally, you'll find frail pretty changes as far as your Skylanders footprints up-to-the-minute these protogenic sections. For example, Life Skylanders have greenery and ana out-and-out with each step, Undead Skylanders leave dainty bleach spirits in their wake, and Pass under review Skylanders create peewee swirls in reference to breathing as they run somewhere about, etc. Whether the aesthetic changes are large and in-your-face chaplet extremely subtle, the top oui run out you a more in-depth feel to every dewy area ourselves find yourself in.
Activision additionally went to great lengths to harvesting the Giants additionally delineative, which is self-evident access the animations. Giants have a prodigal slower, lumbering walk than their lower counterparts. Destructibles way the environment will shiver and cataclysm whenever the Giants piaffer by, and with respective measures, the Giants divorce slightly craters behind to surface show how big with child and gutty themselves are. It's mirth playing a Giant, as you'll often see the smaller enemies just withering at any rate the Prodigious bumps or walks into them - a testament up their great strength.
To complement the gorgeous graphics is an equally impressive and expanded audio electing, with high-calibre right to vote acting, realistic sound effects, and a cheerful soundtrack. Players will notice that there are many more characters with voices ingressive Skylanders Giants, injecting personality and appropriate emotions to any provisions situation. Some of the characters' voices will perk your ears, creating a sense of €Hey, is that ___?€, with A-listers like Moon Trek's George Takei voicing the Arkeyan Conquertron and Hercules' Kevin Sorbo as Finisher the Stalwart. Let's not forget our returning actors, consisting of Patrick Warburton (Flynn), Sumalee Montano (Cali), and Daniel Hagan (Master Ages), who bring their characters to life nevertheless again.
You heap up tell that the actors really enjoyed their parts, enthusiastically lending their voices headed for their respective characters, ranging from pirates to robots, Mabu to foulness wizened wizards, and therewith. Some of the most entertaining scenes are with Flynn and Cali, where you remove hear tell of the all-brawn-and-no-brain aspect in Flynn's egotistical spokesman, and Cali's eye-rolling is direct contemporary subconscious self jeering responses to him. Just shades of death characters that inner man meet throughout the game have solid voice-acting, further charcoal players into the game's storyline.

Skylanders Life Characters
Skylanders Life characters have this cool ability where they can turn things around them into life forms to help attack enemies. It's kind of neat...but then I think about the short life these rock creatures experience. Brought to life only to fight, then die....I keep telling myself it's just a kids' game.... Anyway, here's the list of Air Skylanders: http://skylandersfigures.net/skylanders-air-characters/

Warnado
Tumblr media
Warnado is an air core from Spyro's Adventure. His primary attack is a spin that moves him a short distance, while his secondary attack is to summon a small tornado that whirls around enemies. His tertiary is to fly around in his own tornado. His upper upgrade path modifies his flight and spin abilities, while his lower path enhances his tornadoes. All of his powers need to be upgraded to be usable, but i would recommend his tornado path over his flying path, as his tornadoes are just to inconvenient to use without it. I think they should have swapped his primary and secondary attack, as they are now, they are easy to mix up, as most skylanders with a dash and non-dash attack have the dash as the secondary attack, while with Warnado, his dash attack (the spin), is his primary. Overall: 5/10. He’s memorable, he’s unique, don't get me wrong, a tornado turtle is a fun idea, he’s just too inconvenient to be fun without upgrades

Sonic Boom
Tumblr media
Sonic Boom is an air core from Spyro's adventure. Her primary attack is letting out a loud roar that does good damage, while her secondary attack is throwing out an egg that hatches into an aggressive chick. Her tertiary attack isn't really an attack: it allows her to fly. Her top upgrade path upgrades her babies, while her bottom path enhances her roar. Personally, I prefer the roar path, as all the baby path does is add another baby and have them all hatch fully grown. If you use the babies more often than the roar, absolutely take the top path, but if you prefer the roar, go with the bottom path. I really enjoy playing as her, she's absolutely fantastic. The upgraded roar is a quick boss-killer, and works well on larger enemies. Her flight ability makes her good for conveyor belt puzzles and the like, and the babies are a fantastic automated attack. If you like the babies, spring for the series 2, as her wow pow enhances them. I classify her as a shortrange minionizer (a skylander that uses minions as a significant part of play), which is uncommon in video games, and really shines here. Due to the flight ability, Sonic Boom plays somewhat similarly to many of the Spyro's Adventure dragons, with the bonus of minions. Overall: 9/10, definitely grab, She's fantastic.
If you want to play as a similar skylander, I'd recommend Spyro, Whirlwind, or Cynder (all of Spyro's Adventure) if you like the flight. If you like the minions, you'll probably like Double Trouble (Spyro's Adventure), Short Cut (Trap Team), and probably enjoy Pop Fizz's purple potions (Giants)

Lightning Rod!
Tumblr media
First off, Lightning Rod! Lightning Rod is an air core from Spyro’s adventure. His whole theme revolves around lightning and thunder, and he was based somewhat of off storm and weather gods from greek/roman mythology. His primary attack is simply sending a bolt of lightning out from his hands while his secondary is summoning a massive bolt of lightning down from the sky, which you can direct with the movement dial. His tertiary attack is summoning an electrical field immediately around himself. Lightning Rod’s lower upgrade path adds electrical clouds that orbit around him and shock anything nearby, but it doesn't improve any existing abilities. His upper upgrade path modifies his lightning summoning (his secondary), making it work faster and be easier to cast. I'd recommend his lower path if you prefer passive or automatic attacks (or fight a lot of low-health enemies), and his upper path if you really want to uptick his damage. I liked playing him, but g-ddang is he slow! (both in attack speed and walking speed) He specializes in ranged attacks, so he'd pair well with a shortranger or as longrange backup. He's fun to play as, but you need to put in the work to be able to play him well. He works best after some upgrades or with a friend. Overall, 7/10. Definitely not my first choice for air, but fun if you want some novelty or need a longranger.
If you would like to play as a similar character, I'd recommend Bouncer, the tech giant.
If you would like to play co-op and need a friend that will work well, I’d recommend a fast short-ranger like Stealth Elf or an armored dragon like Bash (both of Spyro’s Adventure)
