@Brindisi: Wer ein Ticket bei Swiss bucht, erhält nicht immer Swiss sondern wie heute Morgen früh die lettische Air Baltic, BT. Der grün-weisse Airbus A220-300 ohne Schweizer Kreuz auf dem Heck fliegt uns im sogenannten Wetlease-Betrieb im Auftrag der Swiss mit Flug LX 1718 nach Brindisi Casale.

Bei unser Ankunft am Flughafen Brindisi erwarten uns Carchauffeur Udo Wilke und unsere Reiseleiterin Marilena in der Ankunftshalle. Nach der Anwesenheitskontrolle durch Udo anhand der Teilnehmerliste geht es mit dem Reisecar von Twerenbold ins malerische weisse Städtchen Ostuni, das auf drei Hügeln in der Nähe der Adriaküste liegt. Führung durch die Altstadt mit ihrer gut erhaltenen weissen Stadtmauer und dem einzigartigen Ausblick in der Ferne das Meer. Anschliessend steht der Besuch einer für grössere Reisegruppen geeigneten apulischen Masseria (befestigter Gutshof) an, wo wir drinnen am langen Tisch mit 35 Personen ein Mittagessen mit lokalen Spezialitäten und Weinbegleitung geniessen. Am Nachmittag Weiterfahrt nach Savelletri di Fasano und Zimmerbezug in unserem Hotel La Sorgente, in dem wir die nächsten fünf Nächte übernachten werden.

took the last opportunity to go on a spontaneous daytime hike (goodbye, sweet unemployment) on a trail i found at trailwalkers.co and was rewarded with a very cute winding path surrounding an oblong lake. picturesque and miniature. the ladders and ropes on trees marked the most popular swimming spots (and a testament to the lake’s depth.) another indicator of the popularity was the unfortunate amount of trash around the site, despite bins at regular intervals on the path. don’t know if i’d like it there on a summer’s evening - all signs pointed to the area being a gathering place of people who like to bestow the gift of horrendous music upon everyone who’s also decided to spend some time relaxing in nature.

however, i quite like it when trees huddle close around a lake, as if they all would like to gaze over the water and see themselves reflected.

If you'd told me a year ago that I would go on a vacation with my mom and also that it was my idea i would've thought your crazy. Turns out it takes a really bad day for me to start making plans. That was a few months ago. Now I'm sitting next to my mom in a car on our way to the baltic sea. I can't say I'm chill about it. But this is a big step for me. I'm sick of being afraid of things, I even had a hard time leaving my flat for a while if it wasn't for work. I know that this might not change a lot for now, but it's a start that I'm proud of.
