My tr!Ros perception so far: a very long ramble about how my pov of her changed
(For clarification, all the following names are 100% /rp, I think Ros' streams are very chill and she is definitely very talented in building and roleplaying, if she wasn't I wouldn't make a post about her character obviously)
I like Ros more and more tbh... Well, that's not true, actually I dislike her vey much, but in a facinated way. I find her very interesting and complex and I love to see her evolving both in what she wants and in who or what influences her.
At the beginning, my opinion of her was very negative. I saw her as an attention seeker, victimizing herslef by saying how defensless she was against big bag guys who harrassed her, even though she was already quite strong and the harrassement was never that serious or menacing. Even her complaining that she wasn't appreciated enough annoyed me.
Then she actively worked to become stronger, wanting to be able to protect herself and others, craving respect and appreciation. And I think that's when I started noticing how her need for approval made her such an easy target for manipualtion. Her many talks with Bad, Aimsey, Foolish and others made her reflect on who she wants to be and how far she'd be willing to go. Each passing day seemed to leave her more and more confused about her line of actions.
But I was forgetting something. Ros isn't just a product of her surrounding, she is her own person. And although, yes, I still believe she can be manipulated as much as any person of the Realm, I think she knows what she's doing. Will she regret it? Maybe, but the more I see her, the more she seems to choose carefully who to listen to.
Like she seems to take Bad's advice pretty seriously, and tbh, I don't really think he influenced her that much. Ofc he started joking aroung, telling her to kill everyone to be their friends, but when he saw that she was seriously lost, he just pushed her to think about her own happiness and setting up her own goals. Yes, he'd give her advice on how to cause drama and kill if that's what she wants, but I'm sure he'd help her the same way if she said she'd love to be the biggest flower gardener or whatever her answer would've been.
And my idea of her either falsely being naive and influencable or simply choosing who to be manipulated by is more and more confirmed by her "breaking up" with Aimsey. She could've followed the advices of her very close friend, maybe the one she confided to the most, but no. Ros made a real personal choice here, she CHOSE violence.
In her perspective, it's entirely justified, I know, but still. Yellow faction (maybe mostly her king) has her loyalty, she doesn't want to be seen or treated as a lesser member of it, and she's willing and ready do defend her reputation by any way possible, no matter the cost.
Now, she has taken a path that may be hard to come back from, but that his her life, her choice. Some people might still give her advices or encourage her in a way or another, but she seems to finally be ready to stand for herself.
So my opinion of her now is way better. I still don't really like her because of how she's still trying to act as if she has no choice she only had to do what she did (ie kill Aimsey), but where she annoyed me before, she interests me now and she's a great antagonist to some of my faorite povs. So thank you Ros for existing (and GG at cc!Ros for the rp and content <3)
#maybe one day i'll make a post about how her relation with other players shows her true motivations in my opinion#but enough rambling for today#keep in mind that i didn't watch a lot of her pov#some streams but not all#so i'm only perceiving her through other povs#trsmp#the realm smp#tr ros#roscumber#my two cents analysis#mentions of:#tr badboyhalo#tr aimsey

okay granted i'm pulling from a lot of liveblogs but just a thought on bad's analysis on the kingdom's treatment of ros from a kingdom pov, could be totally wrong here 😋
so after bad left ros and aimsey he went back to his base to discuss the kingdom's treatment of ros. he describes them as putting kid gloves on ros but not protecting her enough, and also underestimating her abilities.
i think he's right on some level but also not right? the kingdom does not protect ros enough, but that is because they are mostly off doing their own thing. however, every single kingdom member cares deeply for ros and has told her to tell them if she is in trouble, that they will come running and scare off anyone messing with her. i think there is some disconnect just because yellow is typically only all together AFTER something has happened. which sneeg has expressed his frustration about since he hasn't been able to intervene. the kingdom does care deeply about ros and they do want to protect her and keep her alive, they are just unfortunately always too late to stop the initial death. you can see the kingdom rallying together afterwards, but they're just tragically too late to help ros almost every time. (i also think there is a bit of fault that lies with ros when she has time to dm someone for help and just doesn't... but i do get why she didn't do that in regards to the 2nd pili death)
i think the kid gloves metaphor is related to underestimating her and also about sneeg dropping in on their conversation. which i do think the kingdom both does and does not underestimate ros. her peers see her forgetting to eat and not watching her health, they see her at her worst in terms of awareness. they are also showing her their bases and their pvp tricks. they know ros can be strong, they are helping her achive those goals even! but they also see ros being her silliest, and therefore worry. i do think they underestimate her, but i also think they have been shown to have good reason to do so. and despite that they are trying to help her grow stronger.
for some sneeg context for the conversation: he eavesdropped at the end of the bad, pangi, and ros convo. sneeg heard bad encourage ros to kill pili. all of the kingdom knows that pili is strong, sneeg knows that clown wants to kill him and that he killed ros twice. he KNOWS pili is strong, and he hears bad telling ros to kill him and assumes that he and pangi are manipulating her into getting herself killed. i think bad'a conversation later with ros and aimsey where he's lowkey trying to tell ros that the kingdom doesn't care about her only backs up sneeg's point of view. which is that the kingdom's enemies want ros dead and are willing to manipulate her for that to happen. sneeg points out how she is often isolated in these conversations, which i think lends to his pov that they're going to get ros to kill herself by picking an unwinnable fight.
hell, aimsey even pointed this out when ros tried to trap pangi!!!! she followed the words of advice and ideas bad gave to her, and then pili (and also pangi still) had all the justification in the world to kill her. from the kingdom's and aimsey's pov, bad really does look like he is trying to get ros to kill herself via picking fights. Of Course the kingdom is going to feel the need to fret over ros with the kid gloves metaphor, because there is a very good reason for them to believe that people are manipulating her so that she'll die, and they can justify that they killed her. and nobody wants ros to die.
tl;dr yeah bad's right on some level with his analysis regarding ros but also i think there are justifiable reasons for the kingdom to act the way they do, as a big fan of the kingdom^^ and also bad will get ros killed if she listens to him
#the realm smp#trsmp#im not the biggest bbh enjoyer or pov watcher so ghosties feel free to correct me#and also other kingdom mains i want to see peoples thoughts#cause bad telling ros to her face that the kingdom doesnt care about her#as he aimsey and ros r chatting#WHILE SNEEG IS DMING HER AND WORRYING ABOUT HER#screaming he thinks he knows their dynamic and he does but also he doesnt#he doesnt get the losa trio like i do 🤓#also all /rp forgot to add that

I am so normal about the two Jesters in the kingdom's card deck! (owen and clown). Rewritten lore analysis time!!!
Real long analysis thing under the cut, you are warned. /Some "spoilers" for both of their povs/
Funny/non analysing - both jesters have a very specific addiction that haunts them every day they are on the server (owen - trial chambers, clown - enchanting/grinding)
More serious lore stuff under the cut!
Less silly - their relationships to the kingdom is really interesting.
Surprisingly it's more similar than expected. Owen has a high position in the kingdom (royal advisor, jester /and accountant ig lol/). He is happy but feels bad after he is disregarded by the king in some way (listening to clown more etc). Was going to betray the kingdom due to this but after king's death decided to fully commit to being a part of it and help yellow.
Until something happened erm.. So it turns out his full plan was mostly set after thinking of killing the king. He wants to tear the kingdom apart (reason? hell if I know man) and his taunts against the other factions are somehow probably part of it (disband the kingdom and make the server hate them because yellow operates in - you mess with one you get the whole pack angry at you, making it difficult to like be friends with other factions?). The blue vs yellow conflict was started by him, the bridge thing was also by him.
Clown also has a high position (archmage, kinda jester). He likes his title but feels bad about being disregarded in some ways (example - Owen being more of a jester than he is so he kinda started hating him off the bat after they first met). Initially even before joining planned to betray, but after everything red has done committed to being more serious about helping his faction.
And he actually stuck to that! He fought with tr!Mocha for Ros and for everything he has done against the kingdom and won. He doesn't have anything against his faction members, tr!Sneeg and tr!Ros are his closest allies. It does not mean his loyalty to the entire kingdom but he most likely will stay if they do. He considered wiping all of green faction after tr!Mocha's death if they were going to retaliate against Ros after all.
As a character both of them are evil creatures who greatly enjoy violence and doing things for their own fun. (The whole red team joining day, Clown immediately being down to kill Pili, Owen setting up a murder plot and poking other faction being like "dang I wonder why they hate me" after). Sure they do care about the kingdom but violence is a need they always will partake in regardless of what happens after.
For both of them consequences don't exist. Owen doesn't care for his own death and loves instigating others. (it bites the whole faction back but dude does not care). And for Clown - he is capable enough to defend himself and those he cares about. Owen is all bark and no bite and Clown is all bite and no bark essentially lol.
Relationships with their kingdom members!! This is when they start to differ significantly
Ros
With Owen - he noticed the change that happened (being more murderous) and was against it at first, not fully understanding what led to it. He still thinks that Ros who wants to kill people is not her. He is wary of Aimsey and Ros's friendship and wants to make sure she is still loyal to the kingdom. His first priority is the kingdom and it's prosperity above his friendships. I personally don't think he cares all that much for tr!Ros, he saw her being close to tr!Aimsey and saw it as a liability and wanted to drag her back to the kingdom (or away from it from today's stream idk man what is wrong with him)
With Clown thought - he saw the change and was encouraging if Ros truly wanted to go all the way with it. He doesn't exactly care if her murderous nature is truly her, he would just support her if she wants to kill, he is excited for her but doesn't push her to it if it makes sense. He was surprised that she killed Aimsey or the falling out if yellow and blue faction. But still his first priority is Ros. Despite being loyal to the kingdom he values his friendship with her significantly more. If Ros straight up leaves after the shit tr!Owen pulled there is like 90% chance tr!Clown would ban tr!Owen off the server and join Ros in wherever she goes next.
Foolish and Sneeg
This is a fun one. Two people closest to them (for Clown after Ros but shh)
Foolish and Owen - King and royal advisor! Gonna be honest probably tr!Owen's closest friendship in the kingdom. For good reason but still, he respects his king and holds him in high regard. But also he knows the king is swayed easily and wants to reel him in most of the time to focus only on their faction instead of the whole server. Tr!Foolish is incredibly skilled in solving things diplomatically or lowering the tension in the room. Tr!Owen is a polar opposite, he wants conflict and chaos and due to tr!Foolish's nature he pushes him to be less forgiving.
Sneeg and Clown - Theeese guys. They are pretty similar in their grinding addiction so they get along well and descended into banter after the alchemy grind. Most recently I think tr!Sneeg is tr!Clown's other closest friend. He asked for his help for if the aftermath of the fight with tr!Mocha went wrong and trusts him more than the other kingdom members. Honestly if tr!Ros left I think it could drag tr!Sneeg to be with the two of them on wherever tr!Clown and tr!Ros go next (please please please I would be so sad if not, Clown please bring a guy you got divorced from with you and Ros on the "Owen got what he wanted so we are leaving" field trip please)
Clown and Owen's relationship with each other!
Despite barely interacting (Clown stop eating bottles please log in and hang out with people once I am begging on my knees). They are basically each others least favourite person in the kingdom.
The kingdom of fools is known for their loyalty and protectiveness of each other, it's basically their whole thing, if you beat up one there is a 90% chance the others will hold a grudge too.
Except Clown and Owen. Sure if Owen got killed Clown would most likely kill those who did if the kingdom wants it, not for tr!Owen but for the faction (or the love of killing people for fun yknow). And if someone is mean to tr!Clown tr!Owen would just instigate with them or don't help, let's be so real.
Their fundamental differences are - the power they possess (Clown's is the physical ability to protect himself + being not that involved in the drama, mostly just going along with his faction, Owen's is mostly his words and influence in the kingdom despite being the weakest in terms of physical strength). And the relationship to the kingdom. Owen puts it above personal relationships and Clown is the complete opposite.
tr!Clown's goals are - Protect people he cares about first and everything else after, he would not care if the kingdom disbanded tomorrow, he would just grab the two people he likes and don't ever look back, there is not much there for him. He barely cares for control over the whole kingdom if at all. Yes he likes bloodshed he can cause by slaying the enemies of the kingdom but he can do the same if it wasn't there. He doesn't care for anything other than the people he holds close and he wants to do his best to protect them. He is chaotic, yes, but it is a heavily controlled chaos, murder is fun for him but I doubt he would do what tr!Owen does when trying to cause it. He doesn't really care about mind games and is the first to jump to violence, it's the thing he knows best and can use to his advantage easiest.
tr!Owen's goals are most likely (I don't know what this man is planning so I am taking a best guess I have) - Power and control over the kingdom above the people in it (if he has to get rid of those who don't listen to his words blindly - he will, no hesitation). Or just chaos he can cause to have his fun. He is not weighted down by his relationships with others. Yes, he appears friendly to his faction but he is not that close to them. He doesn't care for death either and can do whatever he wants with no downside, his loyalty to the kingdom is mostly him playing cards he was given. If the kingdom disbanded tomorrow he would lose a lot I think. His strongest suit is his words and manipulation and by god does he use them.
They started out more or less the same (only different in the weapons they use) but it changed completely after a certain time. Two jesters in the kingdom's deck! One is loyal, the other wants to tear it down.
\silly rambles part - Also if they ever teamed up it would be so over for the server (a person with nothing to lose who would be extremely down to taunt anyone without a care for what comes after. And a person who wants to protect those he cares about and who could back it up if it's ever needed by destroying anyone who fell for a taunt). This has a REALLY LOW, next to 0 chance of happening but I am begging on my knees for it to happen, it would be so funny, jester duo come back to me I miss you.....\
\realistically tr!Owen kinda does not need close allies to get what he wants and tr!Clown cares for tr!Ros and would beat tr!Owen into paste because he was mean to her before ever trusting him enough to be protective over him lmao\
Thas kinda it idk how to end it. Erm subscribe for more bangers, I am usually this normal about characters who barely interact on a cube smp yerp.
#holo tired rambles#the realm smp#not sure about main tagging it but eh why not#what almost a month of no clownpierce realm stream does to a man#slightly rewritten due to tr!Owen being a menace. Idk why he has done allat man#idk how but tr!Clown's motivations are more straightforward then tr!Owen's. royal jester is doing his job a bit to well I think#rambling in tags whoopsies

tr!aimros are at it again guys… so here’s yet another analysis about yet another argument. yay… (please read the whole thing, i like all of it but I feel like it gets better the more I wrote, I got into the aimros zone, I guess)
I don’t know how to start this so I’m just gonna jump right into it, their argument about tr!ros not really listening to tr!aimsey is so interesting because ros is misunderstanding what aimsey’s means by listening, ros assumes they mean not literally listening or not listening to anything they say, when they don’t mean that, yes, ros, and everyone else, do listen and they do take some of the stuff they say in, they don’t take the rest of that information in, the actual important information in, and ros is sadly the one who does this most, because ros is the one they try to talk to the most and try to get through to the most, so she ends up the one not really listening and dismissing it most.
Then later, ros brings it back up to clown as well as saying to him that aimsey has just been keeping her company while he’s been gone, which she definitely didn’t mean to sound like that, but it’s clear that that’s how it came across to aimsey and you can’t really blame them, since the way it was worded along with aimsey’s current mindset towards how they’re thought of by others, that something meant completely harmlessly and kindly can be misinterpreted like that through the lens aimsey is seeing it from. And when aimsey even starts to mention it, ros instantly gets defensive and raises her voice to do so, she is always so quick to defend herself, because to her, she’s not doing anything wrong, that she can’t actually consider her actions having mistakes or consequences, her first thought isn’t to try to comfort aimsey and reassure them that’s not what they meant, she just instantly goes “aimsey no” because one of ros’s main problems is that she can’t see her faults, she’s trying to do good, so why would anyone get upset, it just constantly happens where she can’t see why aimsey is upset at her actions and words, because she didn’t mean it that way and to her, she’s just doing a good thing, so why would anyone be upset by it, and she shows that in the way she first responds to those criticisms, which is to deny them, not reassurance or to explain, just to deny, because she doesn’t want anyone taking her the wrong way even though that she’s failing to see they maybe it’s not her actions being taken the wrong way but just her actions themselves being wrong.
Ros also says, to explain her getting loud, that aimsey makes her angry, which is because she is always defending herself to aimsey, due to their criticisms of ros and her thoughts and plans, but ros doesn’t process the criticisms, so just looks back on her getting defensive as her getting upset and angry because of aimsey, because her mind refuses to acknowledge the flaws in her ideas and any criticism of those flaws.
And to bring up to clown how aimsey said she doesn’t listen to them is similar to how she brought up her fight with aimsey to bad and pili, these are things that are between aimsey and ros and are personal things and problems and shouldn’t be said to other people constantly, like in bad & pili’s case as it literally being the reason they fought in the first place and directly said by aimsey to ros how they don’t want anyone to know what happened, and this time with clown, it being brought up almost in a dismissive way, as basically saying to clown “aimsey said I don’t listen to them, can you believe that” which is still coming from that misunderstanding about what was meant by listening, but even if ros was right about how it was meant, it still shouldn’t be said to other people, especially after already making it clear last time with saying to bad & pili.
And after that, aimsey walks away and lets ros and clown continue talking, which of course ros doesn’t do and instantly comes to talk to aimsey, because ros genuinely wants to and is trying to fix this but she just can’t, and she can’t see that she can’t and won’t be able to until she addresses her very flawed world view and ideals. And then the first thing she says is saying sorry for if she said the wrong thing, which you can see she’s trying to apologise and doesn’t want aimsey to be upset but again she has no idea what she’s done wrong, because she can’t say, she doesn’t start off with anything she’s actually done wrong, she just said “if I said the wrong thing” which not only is not actually addressing anything but it’s not even admitting that she did say the wrong things, she’s saying IF she said the wrong thing, even in the actual apology itself, she still can’t see any of what she did wrong. And when they start talking and aimsey is clearly very frustrated, because they’ve had this conversation so SO many times now, and asks what was it she’s apologising for and ros, again with no realisation for her mistakes, asks did she make it weird, which she very obviously did, and she keeps apologising for it. Which aimsey then brings up how she is always apologising but she never knows what for and never learns from it, so the apologies are becoming meaningless, since ros takes nothing from them, both about what she is even apologising for and what she should learn from the apology. Because how many times has ros repeatedly apologised only to continue those bad ideas and flawed views the literal second she walks away. It’s the same thing with them over and over and over, ros does something, aimsey tries to talk to ros about it and how to better go about it without doing or resorting to the things she’s doing and ros defends herself but eventually apologises for those things, only to leave and do those exact things again, not learning or realising at all, destined to repeat again and again until ros eventually, inevitably, goes too far and dies.
Then after that, aimsey brings back up what ros said to clown about just hanging out with aimsey while he was gone, and ros defends herself because that’s not what she meant and starts to explain herself and genuinely does explain and apologise, very well, and you can clearly see that ros knows how it was taken the wrong way and explains and reassures them on how they meant it, a true genuine apology, which is what she should’ve done when it actually happened, instead of just instantly defending herself without trying to explain or reassure aimsey and just told them they were wrong, but then aimsey also brings up how this just shows more of ros’s priority to the kingdom and how she will always put the kingdom first no matter what, which ros then again tries to defend herself but it instantly gets shut down, because she herself have admitted and shown, time and time again, how no matter how much she talks and goes through with aimsey, the kingdom will always come first for her, to a detrimental extent. She deeply cares about aimsey and she will always try to put aimsey first, more than anything, but then when it actually comes down to it, she chooses the kingdom every time, she wants so badly to prioritise aimsey, she says it over and over and tries to show it over and over but it just can’t happen for her, the kingdom is such an important thing to her that she can’t let go and loosen that hold it has on her, even if she needs to just a bit to learn and grow, which is another reason she’s constantly making the same mistakes, because she wants more than anything to keep her relationships with the people around her and never wants to lose any of that, which adds to her need to protect everyone and please everyone, despite being told not to and how it is hurting her relationship with the people around her and more importantly, hurting herself.
That’s the most heartbreaking thing about ros’s descent into violence and her need for respect, that she is such a kindhearted person, and that kindheartedness is still always front and centre but it’s still being corrupted by these ideas she has, and the reason she’s doing this, for herself and her friends, is so important to her, that she can’t listen when the people around her, the person most important to her, is telling her not to do this, and to give up on this needless quest for respect and protection, because she needs to do this for them, she knows and can see that these people can protect themselves but she still won’t stop because she views her own value from her value to other people, so she’ll stop at nothing to try help, whether she really should be or actually is or not.
Now the not listening comment comes back up, and ros starts to explain why she disagrees, because she talks to aimsey everyday and takes her advice and does what aimsey says, like she’s starting sleeping more since they told her to because of her constantly getting attack by phantoms for not doing it. And how she’s started sticking up for herself more because of her talks with aimsey and she says how she does take their advice and even if they don’t take all of it, they said they don’t have to take all their advice. Which is true but missing the huge point that there’s a difference between not taking all their advice and only taking the advice that doesn’t go against her own view that aimsey is constantly trying to talk her down from, most of the advice and talks aimsey says to ros is about ros’s view and ideas on respect and violence so for ros to only really listen and take in the one or two pieces of advice they say that doesn’t affect that idea is missing the point. Like yes, you don’t have to take all the advice but the ones she is taking are the wrong ones, ros does sleep more because of aimsey’s suggestion and talks with her about it, but her sleeping really doesn’t matter that much, yes, they want her to do that and they’re happy she is, but it is so much more important to them that ros stops this doomed crusade to be feared and to protect others at her own peril. So for ros to only listen to the small pieces of advice that don’t change much either way over the many, many things they’ve said to her about her stopping trying to be more violent and trying to give better solutions to ros about these problems, is obviously going to be taken and viewed by aimsey as ros not really listening, but ros can’t see that because she is technically following what aimsey has said but she can’t see that some things they’ve say have a lot more weight and meaning than others so it can’t all be viewed the same way.
Ros then mentions how she feels like aimsey is angry at her and the way she talks about it shows this is something she genuinely believes and thinks is justified against her, even if she can’t see herself why, and aimsey starts explaining that they’re not really angry, more just doesn’t understand, because they can see what a genuinely good person ros is, and how much she is genuinely trying to do good but just keeps falling down the same path, making the same mistakes, having talked to aimsey so many times about this and clearly trying to do better and fix things but just can’t, and just keeps getting herself hurt and killed by making the same mistakes over and over, aimsey just doesn’t understand what she’s doing, what her actual plan is, how many times she has said to them that all she wants to do is be there for the people she cares about and to make her friends happy, only to then turn around and go completely against that by doing something that not only has clearly been said to be something her friends don’t want her to do but also that ends up just getting herself hurt, which is clearly not what the people who care about her want. To which ros says that the reason she doesn’t explain to aimsey what she actually wants or is doing is because she herself doesn’t know what she wants or is doing half the time, and ros just doesn’t realise that if she isn’t sure what she actually wants or is doing then she shouldn’t commit to doing something that hurts everyone around her, and always leads to getting herself killed, she should stop and figure out what she wants and what she actually wants to do, instead of just staying on this path that clearly isn’t working for anyone, including herself, and she wants so deeply to not let anyone down but doesn’t realise that keeping doing this and keeping making these mistakes is always gonna let her loved ones down, because they can see how much this is hurting her, so why can’t she see it.
And aimsey counters ros’s repeated statement of wanting to make them happy by asking what has she actually done lately to make them happy, and ros names giving the flowers, building the teal titans hq, helping with the gravel and armour trims, which are all very nice things she has done, definitely, but the fact she doesn’t mention the constant quest she has for violence and trying to gain respect, or doesn’t mention anything from her talks with bad or pili, because she knows that’s not what aimsey wants, she’s clearly been told that time and time again, and yet that is still the main thing she has been doing, and still doing that even after aimsey and tried to get through to her over and over, that they don’t want this, is obviously gonna make them upset, even if she still does other things to make them happy, like the flowers or the base, because those things are nice, but they don’t erase the genuine sadness and worry they have from ros staying going down this path, with seemingly no signs of stopping.
And aimsey tries asking what it is ros actually wants, what she is actually doing all this for, because she’s given so many different answers that it’s not even clear what all this is for anymore, is it to gain fear? to gain respect? to stand up for herself? to stand up for the kingdom? to get others to stop? to make her friends happy? to protect her friends? What is any of this even for anymore, and ros… doesn’t know, she says it changes from day to day, which, like she says, is fair, but if she’s gonna keep risking her life, keep losing her life, for this goal, and now for the goal to not even really be there or matter and to change day to day, what is this even for anymore, she’s losing herself, her morals, her life. And for what? She doesn’t know. She’s doing all this, hurting herself, hurting the people she cares about, just because, mainly, she’s already started doing it and the longer she does it, the more she’ll be committed to doing it but also the more it’ll lose all meaning of what this is even for, she’s in a cycle that can only end in pain and heartbreak, that already has ended in pain and heartbreak, many times over, and yet here she is, still going along this path, still repeating this cycle. She can tell herself she’s doing this for her friends, to make them happy, to protect them, but none of that changes that fact that her friends, that aimsey, wants her happy, with them, not dead on a battlefield because of a need to protect them, to see her dying over and over, to see her dead over and over. And for them to think, she’s telling herself she’s doing this for them, to protect them, and they’ll think, maybe if they could just get through to her, if they could just get her to see, maybe this would stop, maybe she would be okay again, maybe she would be content again. No one who loves her, ever wants this to happen to her, and yet it does keep happening, over and over, and they want more than anything for this to stop, for her to stop, and they’ll keep thinking, why won’t she stop, aren’t I enough for her, will I ever be enough for her, or will this always end up back on that battlefield, back with her dead, back with her trying and trying and trying to fix something that doesn’t need fixing, to keep dying and dying and dying for a mission that shouldn’t even exist, why can’t they be enough for her, why can’t she see that she has always been enough for them, they don’t want her on this crusade for them, they just want her. They just want her here and they want her safe, and if they have to fight a million fights for that, then so be it, but they don’t want her trying to fight those fights for them, trying to cause those fights for them, they just want her alive, and why is it that so hard. They’re here, they’re always here, so why can’t she just talk to them before giving her life for a meaningless goal in their name.
And now all the old wounds come back, their constant back and forths, ros’s betrayal of trust to bad and pili, her doing it again with clown before, but none of it stays, because aimsey don’t want for it to stay, they don’t want all this coming back up, they just want ros to figure out what she wants, what her real priorities are, they can’t keep hurting themselves trying to help ros figure something out that she is seemingly so desperate to not figure out, they can’t keep doing this, so now they just need to tell ros and put their faith in her to figure this out herself. Because they can’t keep doing this, they can’t keep seeing ros thinking she needs to die to help others, ros has become so desperate to protect others, to die for others, so desperate to become a martyr that all she is now is a sacrifice, a meaningless sacrifice that changes nothing and will just happen again, because it keeps happening again.
Ros tries to get aimsey to see it from her point of view and mentions how they jumped in to protect her against pangi the other week, without seeing that what she’s doing isn’t jumping in to protect them, she’s throwing herself at them for the idea of protecting them, there is no actual protecting happening, because there is no actual harm happening, just someone desperate for a mission, desperate for a purpose, that she’s throwing herself over and over to her death with the idea that she’s protecting people when she’s just hurting them, because they don’t want to see her hurt, especially not for them. They don’t want her to want to die to protect them, they want her to want to live for them, to keep living for them, because what’s the point of sacrificing yourself for someone if they don’t even have you with them anymore.
Aimsey is someone so intrinsically linked with death with both their constant experience with it yet still complete denial of it and their longing for it after so long, so not only for them to gain a connection as deep as they have with ros, which they don’t like making because it always ends the same way, with them outlasting them and eventually losing them, seeing them die, over and over, but also to see that happening to ros now, to see her keep dying over and over, but this time not because of aimsey’s curse, aimsey’s destiny to always see their loved ones die before them, but because of her own need to protect people, to protect them. Why does death taunt them like this, is making them keep dying over and over without the actual relief of death not enough for them, is making them come back with the scars, with the pain, with the reminders of how much they’ve been through, how much they’re still cursed to go through not enough, must death also taunt them by having the person they care about so deeply get herself killed, over and over, in their name, while they’re cursed to remain, always remain, knowing no matter how much they wish they could switch places with them, how much they wish they could let ros live while they die instead, they can’t, they’re stuck here, not dying but not really alive either, just here, watching while the people they love die, watching ros be so desperate to protect them that she’s dying for them, getting herself killed for nothing, while all they can do is watch, because no matter how much they try to talk to her, to help her, or how much they want to die in her place, to let her live instead, they can’t, they never can. Knowing they’ll eventually lose her isn’t enough for death, death needs more, wants more, so they’re making it happen now, right in front of them, for no reason, while they’re cursed to remain.
Sooooo… aimros, am I right? This took so long, and it’s the longest one I’ve done by far, I hope you liked it and I hope my ramblings made sense!! They’re both such good characters and so fun to analyse and write about!!

While I’m here, have some incoherent glass thoughts, cuz I just cannot do a proper analysis. So I’m just going to point out things I noticed.
First some chapter 14 things I’m not sure I pointed out. Tommy is fine with Wilbur touching him, but he flinches when Phil or Techno does it. That’s gotta sting for them. Also, Wilbur got goosebumps when walking past Kristin’s statue. Though make that always happens. I do feel like that’s a sign that she’s watching him.
Then chapter 15. So in my head, the cafeteria was a lot bigger than it probably is. Either that or they were a lot closer to the wall. For context in my head Niki and Jack were in the middle of the room. In reality, they were apparently very close to a wall. Rip Wilbur. Thought it was possible it was the momentum of the push. Either way, very unfortunate, but probably the best outcome for Tommy and Jack’s relationship since Tommy didn’t stab anyone. So Wilbur accomplished his mission at the cost of a head wound and blood loss.
It’s also important to point out that neither Jack nor Niki seem to have beef with Wilbur. In chapter 14 we saw that Niki and Wilbur are similar in their devotion to their friendship. So Niki and Jack do seem to understand that Wil is just siding with Tommy because it’s Tommy. Though Niki seems to be dead said on ignoring Wilbur’s existence until he gets hurt. Then she wants to make sure he’s alright. So I’ll take my rainduo crumbs when I get them.
I do think this will make sure that next time Wilbur steps in between Tommy and Jack, no one pushes him. Which doesn’t mean that no one else will try to get him away for his own safety. It is interesting how we do continue to get characters hurting each other without actually meaning any harm. Tommy kidnaps Wilbur but doesn’t actually want to hurt him. Wilbur tries to kill Tommy because he had a vision even though he doesn’t actually want him dead. Tommy pushes Jack of a roof with the intend to kill him because in his mind that’s better then death by the cops. Jack accidentally get Wilbur a head wound by pushing him away to get to Tommy.
A lot of actions and varying different consequences. As in. Tommy pushing Jack is kind of the only action to get proper consequences. Like Wilbur being kidnapped still has consequences, a lot of them, you could argue that everything that happens after is a consequence of the kidnapping. Wilbur trying to kill Tommy gets Tommy better lungs (at least Sam is working on it). Then Tommy pushing Jack sort of directly resulted in Jack pushing Wilbur, which then results in the hair washing scene and wilbur letting Tommy see his face and telling him he’s 22.
Speaking of which. HE’S 22?!? I knew you afed him down, but for some reason I thought he’d just been the Pythia for longer. But nope. He’s just 22. No longer 24. That’s only 4 years older than Tommy. And so much younger than everyone else thinks him to be. And Wilbur is right, for him and Tommy a 4 year age difference is a lot, but for someone like Phil who probably in his thirties, both of them are very young. I do also wonder how Phil is going to react to Wilbur’s injury.
-🌲
Tommy doesn't normally flinch when Phil or Techno touch him, but he's just very jumpy after everything and since Wilbur immediately showed him nothing but worry and care he's the one person he knows he can trust right now :(
yeah the cafeteria has this very specific layout in my head that's really hard to put into words?? but there's kind of two halves to the room, with tubbo and ranboo and aimsey usually sitting near the left wall when you walk in, and jack and niki sitting near the right wall, with an open path in the middle for people to walk down to get their food. I could draw out a blueprint at some point if it would help lol but yeah jack and niki were near the wall
unfortunately yes the best outcome to that entire situation was wilbur getting knocked in the head instead of either jack or tommy getting injured bc that would've just made things way worse.
exactly! niki and jack don't have beef with wilbur. jack didn't want to hurt wilbur and was horrified by what happened. niki was scared for wilbur's safety and wanted to make sure he was okay. they're on opposing sides, but wilbur himself did nothing to wrong them. niki understands why he's standing by tommy, but unfortunately that puts them at odds.
actions have consequences :) even if you don't mean harm, that doesn't negate the hurt you did to someone
well, I wanna point something out. sure, the only proper consequences, as in a punishment, happened to tommy after he pushed jack. but I'd argue the entire development of crimeboys relationship is a consequence. sure, it doesn't seem like a negative thing, and in a lot of ways it's helping wilbur. but at the same time, they are already extremely attached to one another and it's only growing stronger. codependence isn't healthy. I think it's an interesting dynamic to explore, but it's not the healthy direction for either wilbur or tommy to take. so many actions have had consequences of pushing their relationship further in this direction. so yeah, the only thing that got a proper punishment was tommy pushing jack. but there are consequences to what's been happening. just less obvious ones.
lmao yup he's only 22. tbh I was debating heavily between 22 and 23 but I ultimately decided to make him 22 more so for tommy's perspective than anything to do with wilbur because there isn't a huge difference between being 22 and 23. the difference lies in how tommy perceives wilbur. to an 18 year old, a single year DOES make a difference. they're only 4 years apart. to tommy, that puts him on a much closer level with wilbur than if he was, say, 24.
meanwhile for phil who is in his late thirties/early forties (haven't decided specifically but leaning towards forties), and for techno who is in his early to mid thirties, 22 and 18 are definitely young.

up until today i thought serena was just guqqie’s irl name, found out they were separate people while looking at fanart, tried to figure out who serena was by searching diff name combinations on tumblr, ended up finding some beeduo theory posts, found your blog, and i spent a few hours reading through your conspiracy theories tag(like istg it was 7pm like 10 minutes ago and now it’s 10pm what happened)
and now i 1. still don’t know who serena is and 2. i’m now going absolutely insane because that was some of the most genuinely insane apeshit stuff and yet a lot of it makes sense ???
you have made me mentally unwell and i can’t tell if it’s /pos or /neg
hi anon, happy to have you here! to answer your questions
1) serena is aimsey's ex-partner, they were together before aimsey and guqqie and broke up do to conflicting mental health issues
2) it makes sense because it's critical analysis from a birds eye view. although we do go a little batshit here i try to at least be logical and present a cohesive argument that's easy to digest. that's why i get so frustrated when people purposefully misinterpret what i'm saying
anyway, welcome to the land of mental illness, hope you enjoy your stay! (read: much like the hotel california, now that you know you can never leave)
#ask#i like to think it's /pos being mentally unwell but you can decide that for yourself#glad my conspiracy tag is putting in the leg work

Re: describe the female character or anvil falls on thee
Vent about AnXiEtY DisOrDeR under cut
Not rereading that so there may be stupid autocorrect typos
There was a time i made only female characters and struggled to make male ones. All of them had different personalities, as good as a 10 year old could make them. Moved on to making male and non-binary (not realizing they're non-binary yet) a whole lot later.
My problem here is that, while there are female mcyts i like... I'm just not into them as much as Etho and Bdubs. It goes for literally every other mcyt as well. In my dsmp era, there just weren't creators that caught my interest; i really liked Aimsey and Crumb, but i could not for the life of me stay on stream for as long as Tubbo's streams, and after a while i stopped forcing myself because what fun is it, forcing yourself to watch a steamer for some sense of moral goodness? If anything, i think watching a female streamer for the sake of watching a female streamer is actually worse than being honest in saying "there just aren't any that i enjoy" cuz it's true that there are less of them, and/or they are less popular, so you're less likely to come across one you like.
Hermitcraft/Life Series/Empires/whatever is the first time there are female mcyts that i can confidently say i enjoy a lot. Pearl, Cleo and Shelby in particular are my faves. But i watch each of them fairly casually. I probably couldn't write an in-depth analysis of their character as well as i could ethubs. But that sort of goes for literally everyone else on those servers. The post doesn't talk about an analysis, i know, but when harsh wording like this comes up... Not only is it the situation where you're asked for something, and you immediately forget everything about it, it's also like being backed into a corner and forced to answer calmly. Oh AND a "don't think about X" situation where you're bound to think about X.
The post originally doesn't talk about mcyt tho. It's about characters. Last time i was fully into written characters was Kagepro, where admittedly i was also into 2 guys that i shipped the hell out of, to the point of shoving everyone else in the background. I could still write them fairly well - helps that there aren't real people behind them whose decisions often contradict, but also I'd say they're pretty simple characters once you break then down (i could talk a lot about kagepro). I particularly liked writing Ene for how much of a troll she is. Being nerdy about games and technology certainly helped.
Lastly, there's Winx which I am. Sort of? Into rn? Where all 6 of the main characters are girls and the male characters, each of their boyfriends (yeah all of them conveniently have boyfriends) are the one-dimensional guys with very little going in terms of their stories and personalities. But In Winx, their characters are very typical, so it's easy to describe them. All of them can be described as "she's A and B, but also C and D" They're not bad characters, they're certainly not one-dimensional, but they are very simple.
So, what do i want to say with this? I guess this could be called sort of a vent. The deal with those kinds of posts is that i know they address a problem that exists. I know they're targeted at a specific type of person that exists. I know it's likely a rhetorical question just to bring to light how female characters are often treated. But this kind of post also makes me start looking within myself, even when i know I'm ok with writing female characters, i KNOW i don't have the problem being described!!! I'm not saying I'm free from misogyny, but this problem I KNOW i don't have. It makes me feel bad though when i don't want to describe a female character or when i fall flat on any description, whether it's cuz i just don't want to or because I'm not in right mood. Idk, it's just something anxiety does where it makes me question myself.
Tldr I agree with the message of the post but i don't like it because of the way it affects me personally.

It's been a while since I've done this.
Analysing why both cTubbo and cAimsey's actions make sense via the most recent lore stream!
(usual disclaimer, these are only about the characters, it does not reflect my opinions on the streamers or the streamers opinions on each other.)
So. Tubbo and Aimsey's actions both make a lot of sense with regards to the Ghostboo thing. Even as someone who isn't well versed in the BearSMP lore.
Let's start with Tubbo, then. Since I know his lore the best out of the two of them.
So. The ghost thing. I think that's what hurt the most. Tubbo is very blunt with everything. If he is going to say it, he'll say it in the most straightforward way. So him repeatedly telling Aimsey that Ranboo was dead makes a lot of sense in that he isn't going to beat around the bush. And we joke but I do think Tubbo is still grieving. Denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance if I remember correctly. We saw denial when he saved Michael. We're in anger now. Tubbo said it himself, Aimsey just happened to be around when he decided to do some evil shit.
To Aimsey, the house was lent to them by Ranboo, someone they thought was alive. They thought he could give them the house. But at the same time, Aimsey doesn't touch the rooms that have clearly been decorated for people. I don't know if they've seen Michael's room or if Ghostboo closed up that room. So when they meet the other half who is telling them they can't have it... It makes sense there would be confusion there.
And their reaction to Ranboo being dead is heartbreaking. But as they said. Death seems to follow them wherever they go. I think, though, that Aimsey needs to realize that Ranboo dying was not their fault. I think that could be why Tubbo said they were an "angel of death" jokingly. Because Tubbo knows what it's like when death follows you. This is the man who grew up in a country the kept dying and who fought in wars where he and his allies died. He lost both of his best friends due to the prison. I think Tubbo's tease about aimsey being the angel of death is a slight pick at how little they know of death in this server. A ghost following Aimsey around is nothing in comparison to the death Tubbo felt in the final control room. It's nothing in comparison to dying at a public execution. It's nothing in comparison to your own life being threatened because of your best friend.
Tubbo has stared death in the face and accepted it on multiple occasions and Aimsey looks him in the eyes and says death follows them? At least they have the ghosts to keep them company. Tubbo is alone.

You know every ghost has things that are different from their alive counterparts, often things they'd never show while alive or things opposite of their alive selves. But some things remain the same. ghostbur likes history and oration and ghostboo actively lies about what happened or is happening to him (hiding the wound/that he's dead).

The third and final part of my glass divine chapter 9 analysis:
I like how you added signing into this story. It makes sense for it to be in this world and for the Deathlings to use it. I don't doubt they would need to use it often.
Oh boy, Tubbo, Tubbo, Tubbo...where do I start. I am so biased toward Wilbur. Understandable, considering we are seeing the world through his blindfolded eyes (meant both figuratively and literally)
Tubbo is difficult. He isn't bad, I don't think. Like, he isn't an antagonist. Not a big one anyways. Currently, he seems to be some kind of obsticle, but again, he isn't a bad guy. He just wants what's safest for his friends and home. And eliminating the risk of the Pythia is the safest option in his eyes.
Plus Wilbur did almost murder his best friend so...
I think Sam is the same way in this regard. I don't believe he wants the Pythia dead necessarily. But he understands where Tubbo is coming from. How they aren't treating him like he's a prisoner. He knows how weird and confusing and dangerous it is to keep going as they are with Wilbur. And like Tubbo, he wants to keep the temple safe.
Aimsey. I don't know much about them yet but I do like them. I like how they aren't afraid to stand up to Tommy when he shoves Tubbo in his anger. They don't really know what's going on between the two but still don't want whatever it is to escalate into a physical fight. And when they learn about Tubbo's intentions they are immediately against them. Probably because they have something against killing and violence in general.
And Ranboo's just like: "Leave me out of this..."
Phil and Techno have no idea what to do with Wilbur. They had absolutely no plan for him. I guess it just serves more to the view that the Pythia is more of an object or political figure rather than a person. Like what did they think was going to happen? What was their plan? They have a person in their captivity like what??
Just thinking about it makes me upset for reasons I cannot explain. It baffles me to no end. What was their plan????
Oh God, Wilbur. Poor guy is a mess. His trauma is like a bunch of tangled threads. You come close to undoing the first knot and start thinking you're getting somewhere, but then you look at the rest of the pile and think "oh lordy-loo tha's a lotta knot"
It's clear that Wilbur doesn't want to die. He feels such an obligation to Clara that he "knows" it's the most "sensible" thing to be done. In his mind, he serves no purpose to Clara in the temple. It isn't Her domain. It's Kristin's. He's already starting to feel abandoned by Her due to Her lack of responses. And he "knows" it makes sense. Because he's disappointed Her. He's failed Her. Because he's been taught that his entire existence is meant to serve Her and only Her.
And he can't do that anymore.
I feel frustrated for him even though I know that that entire mindset is so unbelievably toxic. He's lost all sense of purpose without Her. And he's doing everything he can with what little power he does have to "make it up to Her." But it isn't enough and he's clearly doing something wrong because She isn't responding. She isn't telling him what to do to get out of this mess and back to where he belongs.
Tommy is so protective of Wilbur already. How did that happen so quickly? Who tf cares it's amazing. Again, their relationship is so strange but it fits so well in places it shouldn't. I love this crimeboys. I love this story so much!!
wow this was longer than i had anticipated. can't wait to start on chapter ten!!
-🧭
the signing actually does have more of a purpose than just being useful for the deathlings to know. I haven't really had a chance to get into it yet, but glass!tubbo is hard of hearing and wears ~futuristic~ hearing aids. they're not perfect though and when he has them on for too long he gets headaches, so usually in the later evenings or early mornings he won't have them on. it's in these times that tommy, ranboo, and aimsey will talk to him with sign language. besides tubbo, those three are the most fluent in it, but the rest of the deathlings all have varying levels of proficiency in it just through exposure and wanting to learn for tubbo
(but this also means the signing can be used for other things as well. like tubbo wanting to talk about the pythia in front of him without him knowing)
tubbo isn't a bad guy, but at the moment he is playing an antagonistic role. I mean this in the sense of the definition of an antagonist though more than a moral stance or anything like that. he just wants to keep the rest of the deathlings safe, and the pythia DID try to kill tommy. remember, while tubbo and the pythia didn't get along, tubbo didn't start bringing up that they might have to get rid of the pythia until after his escape attempt
sam is similar but a bit different. he also wants to keep the temple safe, but he's a bit more pragmatic about the whole thing. he thought the pythia was a threat from the beginning, so he's kind of more going "see? I was right I knew things were going to go badly" but he's also got zero backbone so the minute someone in authority (ie: phil or techno) challenges him he backs down.
yeah aimsey only defended tubbo against a possible physical fight, but the moment they realized what the conversation was about, they were firmly on the side of not hurting the pythia. aimsey is a very kind and peaceful person in general who doesn't like to hurt people if it's not necessary, so they're really not game for tubbo's idea.
ranboo is a centrist he's not getting involved lmao
yeah unfortunately phil and techno also fell into the trap of viewing the pythia as more of a figurehead than a real person. now they're dealing with the consequences. good job, guys.
wilbur is in such a complicated spot. he doesn't want to die, but he feels like clara might want him to. and he's dedicated himself so wholly to serving her, that now he's stuck trying to figure out if he NEEDS to die to continue serving her. he's lost his sense of purpose without her and now he's spiraling because of it. he needs to be dragged out of this mindset but of course that's not an easy thing to do
protective tommy is one of my favorite tropes :D
i'm so glad you're enjoying!! thank you so much!!

I feel like not enough ppl are talking about how it seems that the DSMP is the only server in the SMPverse ( that is wild to type ) that has a three life system!
Aimsey was incredibly shocked to find out they weren’t dead after they got pushed off the prime path and reiterated that when confronting ghostboo today!!
Like that’s so interesting!! It seems like any person who comes into this server is automatically given 3 lives so even if they’ve come from another far away server where it’s one they now have to obey the 3 life rule!
I personally think it’s most likely because of XD. He LOVES chaos. And what’s more chaotic then having a system that allows revenges, torture, and betrayals? It’s fascinating and I hope it gets explored more :D
