Ok i’ve read a few codywan fics of sad desert hermit obi wan going back in time and trying to fix things but what i really wanna read is longish haired teenage obi wan going to the future where all his friends are dead and supposedly he is too.
Obi wan only lasts a few weeks before he ends up imprisoned by inquisitors, because good as he is, obi wan hasn’t a clue whats going on.
The food is rubbish and the torture isn’t great but at least he gets to meet a nice torguta lady during his escape.
Is ahsoka freaked out at having her grandmaster alive and now younger than her? Yes, yes she is but she ends up taking him back to the rebel base where a lot of very surprised people are waiting including one completely devastated commander Cody.
Having Obi wan back would be a dream come true for him normally but there is a difference between adult Obi wan who Cody was completely in love with and teenage Obi Wan who is forced to live with the knowledge that he is the survivor of a genocide.
Cody is almost happy that his Obi Wan is dead because he doesn’t think he could ever have looked him in the eye again.
Obviously nothing can happen between the two of them since Obi wan is like 16 and Cody is physically and mentally like 60 but theres a lot of guilt and regret on Cody’s part and a lot of confused pining on Obi Wan’s.
He has no clue why his romantic interests have changed from passionate blonde teenage girl to a depressed elderly man who tries to avoid him while also maintaining strangely long eye contact and honestly he’s not sure he wants to know.
There is a lot of guilt involved in trying to send Obi Wan back in time. Because they have to do it. Obi Wan Kenobi is an important historical figure and taking him out of the time stream could have disastrous consequences. They hope that he can change the past for the better, knowing what he knows now but there is a chance he won’t remember any of it and they are sending him back in time just for his own battalion to murder him.
Meanwhile Sad Desert Hermit Obi wan is getting really weird vibes from the force.
#there are probably a few other members of the 212th sitting around the base stewing in their regret#star wars#sw#the clone wars#tcw#obi wan kenobi#commander cody#codywan#ahsoka#ahsoka tano#time travel#star wars time travel

I loved seeing Anakin through Ahsoka's eyes, and how her older perspective blended with her younger. I loved how discomfited she was, seeing the battlefield again. I loved how Hayden played him, capturing his TCW self, and seeming like how she saw him back then, what he projected to her- this cool older brother, adapted to the field of war. I loved how his jokes weren't funny, either in retrospect or at the time. I loved how his tenderness, and her tenderness to the injured clone, and her youth, were all juxtaposed against the brutality of it.
I loved how even in the very first flashback of one her earliest engagements, Vader and Anakin were melding in her mind. I loved how her view of his apparent callousness about war and his methods of training changed with her knowledge of his future. I loved that she could no longer separate in her mind what he taught her from an adapted version of the jedi way and the way of Vader.
I loved his cocky confidence and her disillusionment, and the heavy feelings under them. I loved that he -in her mind or actually- was still proud of what a skilled warrior she had become, could see that she was more than that. I loved, and got chills, when he transitioned into vader and turned his blade on her, even in her siege of mandalore form, in a horrible echo of what may well have happened if she'd been on site for his fall.
He was larger than life, and he was lovable, and he was terrifying, and I understand why he haunts her.

Hayden Christensen - The first time
H.C x actor reader
In which you try to avoid him during training but it’s useless when Ewan puts you up against each other in a friendly match.
Word Count: 2099 words (que spiderman theme song. IM NOT JOKING THIS IS THE ACTUALLY COUNT)
You were new to the industry, you had only been in two movies thus far. The first one wasn’t big, it was just an indie film that horror movie nerds happened to like. From there you got picked for an audition for a bigger movie that would be put in a few theaters. However here, now, you’d never really expected such a huge change, you weren’t going to be playing a huge part. It was a flashback for the upcoming series Ahsoka, you were going to be a Jedi for a short time. They were doing another scene for order 66 in which Anakin goes against someone whom he’d become acquainted with during training. A battle was to be choreographed which meant you were going to be up against the actor who had single handedly started your acting career.
You were a huge Star Wars fan and without a doubt one of the kids who had lightsabers and a few Clone Wars coloring books. As you got older you looked into Anakin’s actor Hayden Christensen and grew to love the movies he’d done. Of course you thought he was hot, who wouldn’t love the nerd in Shattered Glass, or the punk in Life as a House? Sure he’s older now but that didn’t stop you from absolutely freezing up the second you walked into the training area. He’s significantly taller than you, that much you already knew but now it made you feel even more anxious. Interviews of him (which you of course obsessed over in your younger years) depicted him to be very nice, but you can’t always judge someone based on their interviews.
“Oh my god,” you whispered to yourself as you placed your hand to your cheek.
“Are you okay?” The trainer had questioned, a slight concern showing on her face. Hayden had also looked to you, the thin lightsaber prop swinging effortlessly to his side as he awaited your answer.
“Uh- Sorry I just got a… um- a headache is all.” You lied while your hands gripped onto the prop like it was the only thing grounding you.
“I have tylenol in my bag, or some water if you want?” Hayden’s hands gesture over to the black backpack that was leaned against the wall next to yours. Your throat ran dry as you opened your mouth to speak, before choking on your words and coughing… quite literally choking on your words.
“Yeah, the water should be fine.” Hayden walked over to his bag before pulling out two bottles and handing one to you. He stood there however as you took a small sip and placed it back down.
“Nervous?” He snickered lowly while he waited for you to collect yourself.
“Pfft… can you tell?” You questioned softly, looking up at his sparkling blue eyes. My god you’d dreamed about meeting him for practically half your life, but all you did was fumble. The casting crew never really gave you a lot of information, just that it was for upcoming Star Wars content and that they’d needed to fill a small jedi role. Nothing could’ve mentally prepared you to meet your living, breathing, wet dream.
“It’s just training right now, so there’s really no need to stress, we can all help you learn everything you’ll need to know.” His voice was so calm and endearing, maybe it was the daddy issues talking or the fact he is a dad, but it was so comforting.
Even three months into your training you’d distanced from Hayden as to not make a complete fool of yourself. He’s almost 40 at this point with a child you’d assume he was tired of the wild fans. Even so during training you’d often slip up while your eyes were trained on his swift movements. Sometimes you guys would get together and have little matches to see who could win. It was a random pick or whoever decided to challenge someone, and it was no different today. Everyone had finished training but the energy had been so vibrant that here you were on the cushioned floor in a circle. At this point it was no secret your character and Anakin were to have a final battle, but you had never gone against each other in these matches.
“Okay before we start, would anyone like to call someone out?” Rosario Dawson, Hayden’s childhood friend who’d been training for a separate project, questioned the small group.
“This isn’t a call out but I’d actually like to see Hayden vs Y/N without their choreography.” Ewan suggested while sitting on the blue mat cross legged, a childlike smile on his face. On one hand you were a shell of a human around Hayden, but with Ewan it was like he was your favorite uncle. Had you at some point in time found him incomprehensibly attractive? Yeah, but he’s the kind of nice that makes you feel like you’ve known him your entire life.
“Oh come on, is that even fair?” You whined, alluding to the obvious experience points he had on you.
“Are you calling me old?” Hayden jokes lightly as he steps forward into the circle, the group collectively letting out a low ‘oooooooh’.
“I mean your character is the chosen one, I don’t know if my three months of training can compare.” In all honesty you had tried your hand occasionally at a lightsaber when you were younger, so you had a little bit more experience than you let on. The amount of times you’d watched the behind the scenes, their practicing and training helped you recognize his moves.
“I’ll go easy on you, how about that?” His arms were outstretched to his sides in a shrug. A smirk was playing on his lips as he stared at you expectantly.
“Easy? Okay Christensen I’ll fight you.” Competitive couldn’t even begin to describe the drive that suddenly pumped through your veins. The way his eyes zeroed in on you, and the familiar smirk you had only dreamed of seeing in person made your adrenaline kick in. All the information you’d ever retained while watching those extras, would finally be useful for more than proving a point in a dumb argument online.
“Let’s not forget who’s had more training.” Hayden said with a scoff as you both got into your beginning stances. Yours mimicking the form Obi-Wan took while fighting Grievous, Ewan didn’t miss it, how could he? He simply stood with his left foot pointing towards you, his right braced for a sprint, and his saber behind him ready for a strike. You were reading him like a billboard, he never strayed from the forms he was taught, but you were a fan with too much time so you had a few of your own moves.
“May the force be with you Master Skywalker.” You said before he charged, you dodged the first strike but he had already begun to recover from the miss. A huff came from his chest as he swung the flimsy pole back down, meeting yours with a loud clash. The group let out sounds of shock and excitement as he pushed you down to one knee, he was stronger than you. It was no secret as height wise he’s an entire foot taller than you, so you quickly rolled from your position in front of him. He stumbled forward slightly, then twisted around to meet your blows. One to the head, down to the legs, up to the arm, then back down to his torso since it would be an awkward position for him to hold. You were both fast, you’d spent so much time learning basic defense in case one of you made a mistake it was too easy. Stamina was probably the only way you’d win this, or so you thought.
“You’ve learned well, young one,” he tripped you up, while you were focused on his words he’d hit you with the same move Anakin used on count Dooku. “although you’re too focused on me,” your ‘saber’ swung upward to slash his torso, but with a small step back, he dropped the pole to his open palm.
“And not my hands.”
“Fuck.”
The cool, thin, dented metal was up against the side of your neck as your arms were still tilted up in your last strike. Heavy breaths left the both of you as your small ‘audience’ went silent. The sound of your pole hitting the mat, signaled your defeat and in true style you dropped to the floor. The room erupted with groans and yells of victory from those who bet on Hayden. A few seconds of lying on the floor Hayden walked over, standing above you holding out his hand.
“Come on loser.” His smile was so genuine it made your face blush softly as you rolled onto your back.
“I can’t, I’m dead, rigor mortis.” You mumble, letting your tongue hang out the side of your mouth. You felt two arms scoot under your back and knees, quickly feeling your body lifted into the air. A scream came out of your throat as your hand quickly gripped onto Hayden’s loose shirt. The group laughed as he basically tossed you up and down, pretending like he was going to drop you.
“I don’t know why you’re screaming! Dead people don’t scream!”
“Oh- OH MY- PLEASE! GOD PLEASE! OBI WAN PLEASE!” He’d even managed to flip you on your stomach, your fingertips almost meeting the ground before he flung you back up again. Sure it wasn’t a crazt high distance from his arms, but add that with his height it was terrifying enough.
“So uncivilized!” Ewan mocked in a bad Obi-Wan voice, Hayden finally held you against his chest as he laughed with the rest of the group. Ewan came over with Rosario, both of them cooing softly at your semi panicked state.
“Put the poor girl down already!”
“She’s as red as a tomato Hayden!”
He let you down to your feet, still holding onto you as you stumbled lightly. Your chest heaved as you rested your hands on your knees, completely oblivious to how you practically pushed against Hayden’s crotch. His hand came down to rest on your lower back, rubbing softly while you regained your breath.
“I’m-… I’ll kill you for that one day Christensen.” You said through heavy breaths before standing straight again. Hayden’s hand coming up to rest on your shoulder, sporting a smug smile as the group began to discuss the next match. Hayden pulled you off the far walls where your bags lay, you both sitting in front of each other while he pulled out water bottles. For a while you sat in silence, just leaning against the wall watching Rosario and Ewan go at it.
“Were you ever going to tell me about your tattoo?” Hayden questioned, his voice staying low in contrast with the yelling from the group. At first you almost didn’t know what he was talking about, but then your cheeks turned to a dark red. On your wrist was the japor snippet Anakin gave Padme when they first met, and under it read ‘Skywalker’ in Huttese. Usually it was covered by a scrunchie or bracelet, but it must’ve slipped your mind today.
“I wasn’t planning on it, it feels too embarrassing to show you.” You held your arm out to him, since he’d already seen it there was no use in hiding it now. His hand pulled your wrist closer as he traced it with his fingers.
“I always wanted to get a replica of the japor snippet but I never did. I think this is really cool Y/N, you don’t need to be so nervous around me all the time.” He said quietly as he set your arm down on your thigh. Hayden was nice, but you were feral, you still couldn’t grasp the fact you avoided him like a schoolgirl avoided her crush.
“I-… I am not! The job is just so… overwhelming you know?” Lies, you shook as bad as a chihuahua when you were alone with him, practicing lines, fighting, and in general.
“It’s been three months and you still get distracted by just staring at me mid-fight.” A chuckle resonated in his chest as you looked at your blushing face.
“Okay… I just didn’t want to look like some nerdy, obsessed fangirl, I didn’t know how well that would go over.” Holding the cool bottle against your face you let your hair shield your face from the older man.
“I think it’s cute.”
And for the first time, you felt like maybe the star would align, maybe you would have a chance with the man you’d worshipped during your teen years.
I need to be his controversially young girlfriend HIS BIRTHDAY IS THE DAY AFTER MINE idk i think its a sign or whatever🤞🏼 hope you liked this! feel free to make any requests! i might make a part two but idk yet

In light of the new Ahsoka show pissing me off, I have decided that---at some point after I finish up mitptt and get going again on bcc---I'm going to write a spite fic.
----------
In said spite fic, Ahsoka---at the age and time she is in the Ahsoka show---goes back in time to the Prequel Era, where her younger self discovers her.
Now, it's obvious that older Ahsoka- (who we'll call O!Ahsoka) -is younger Ahsoka- (who we'll call Y!Ahsoka) -at a different age, so O!Ahsoka can't really lie her way out of being discovered. After that becomes obvious to her, O!Ahsoka figures- "Oh the Force must've sent me back in time so I could save myself and Anakin from the stupid dogmatic Jedi!" -and decides to do just that.
Then, after O!Ahsoka basically treats the other Jedi- (barring herself and Anakin, and maybe Plo) -like shit, shits all over the Order and their practices, and just generally acts like an ass about everything and shows a surprising amount of ignorance---Y!Ahsoka is like- "What the fuck is wrong with you? Have you forgotten that these people are our family? Have you forgotten how the Force works? Have you forgotten why we practice certain things? What the hell?"
So O!Ahsoka tells her everything---all of her opinions on why the Jedi and especially the Council are bad/hypocritical/whatever/etc, everything that happened in The Wrong Jedi arc, how Obi-Wan was apparently "playing politics" and "betrayed her" or whatever, everything Anakin did and what that lead to, how Anakin's actions are apparently the Jedi's fault, etc---in hopes that hearing all of that will turn Y!Ahsoka against the Jedi and make her help her "save Anakin from them."
Cue Y!Ahsoka going off.
Y!Ahsoka absolutely rips O!Ahsoka and her arguments to shreds---defending her fellow Jedi and their beliefs, both through logical emotional arguments, and just expressing her shock that O!Ahsoka could so easily forget all that they were taught and be so fucking callous about the death of their family.
Y!Ahsoka then uses the information that O!Ahsoka has given her to help her fellow Jedi stop Anakin from fucking everything up and killing them all---as well as take out Palpatine and win the war.
All the while also having an identity crisis because- "how could she turn into such an asshole???" -but everyone, particularly Obi-Wan, helps her through that.
Meanwhile O!Ahsoka has to deal with the fact that she actually is wrong and an asshole, and also work out her own issues in a healthy way instead of just ignoring them, absolving Anakin of any agency, and blaming the Jedi.
----------
This fic will also be full of a healthy dose of Rex finding out what Anakin makes him and his brothers do---how easily he was ready to cast them aside---and, after dealing with all of the bullshit that Anakin has been pulling throughout the war, he decides that he's just fucking done with him.
He just walks away from him, decides that he's not putting up with any of this anymore.
In a similar vein, I'm thinking about Padme also learning about this stuff and---paired with Anakin's now super erratic and crazy behavior, plus they've just recently "made up" from the Clovis stuff---she does some serious thinking and finally sees Anakin for what he is, and makes the decision to leave him because she hates the person she's become by being with him.

Older sisters
post war, O66 never happened, Au.
Ahsoka had been loved, cherished as a little sibling.
She'd dealt with a rash of over protective brothers, that despite their physical circumstances managed to hit all the awkward preteen sibling experiences. Like giving her stern lectures on boys. Cheering on her first crush. Being generally awkward about puberty. And stuttering around obvious sex jokes they wanted to make so bad, but couldn't because she was there.
She'd been the kid sister, in all the little mundane ways that made their relationships rich, that swelled her heart with affection.
But she'd been more than that too. She had to be. Through whatever cruel circumstances, men that would slap their hands over a chatty brother's mouth to keep him from making a dick joke in front of her would also bow to her order. She held their lives in her hands. It was a concept she never truly wrapped her head around. And maybe never would. But it was a responsibility that she took very seriously.
First on the battlefield doing every damn thing she could to keep them alive. Then in front of the senate and al over the holoweb and anywhere she could get people to listen to her; To listen to them. Then briefly in the war again. And now, now she was the shepherd leading them into the galaxy. Not as soldiers but as free men.
Ahsoka was responsible for the clones in a way that many of them did not comprehend. They still believed that she was their kid sister. Little 'soka, come to play house with them while they all figured out how to live. And she allowed them to think that. She enjoyed it. Needed it even. Needed them to believe that they were taking care of her and not the other way around. Needed them to feel useful. Needed them to not feel indebted towards her. Not like some of the clones did.
Dogma, Rex, Cody, Tup. Too many brothers still looked to her with gratitude in their eyes. With a knee jerk response to do whatever she commended of them.
She didn't want that. She wanted them to figure out on their own how to be men. men who ran their own live. Who made their own calls.
But that didn't release Ahsoka of her responsibility. She may have left the public advocation for clones in more trained hands, Like Senators Chuchi and Amidala. Or the Jedi council. Or the new Mandalorian government. But Ahsoka handled the nity grity. the detail work. Ahsoka taught them as individuals, how to budget, how to pay bills, how to travel without GAR resources. All things she'd had to learn on her own.
She has a unique perspective living amongst men who were simultaneously much older and much younger than her.
Or, at least, she'd thought it was a unique experience.
When Echo turned up, he brought company. And lots of it. Clone force 99 were some of the roughest men she'd seen outside of the outer rim. Certainly rougher around the edges than any clone she'd ever worked with.
They were pleasant enough. Just strange for clones. Wrecker was a trendous help to have during the building process of the little compound they were putting together. As was Hunter. He was an excellent leader. He was deffinitly no Clone Commander. Every CC that Ahsoka had worked with had the same bow to bow acknowledgement of Ahsoka. Recognizing her rank and trusting her intuition. Hunter had no such inclinations.
It was actually refreshing. He argued with her more than anyone else did. Never hostile arguments. They were all civil. He as just a particular man with many opinions about how she was running just about any aspect of the compound. He argued with her the same as he would with any other clone. He broke the seal on making crude jokes in front of her. And was generally a pushy crass soldier in her presence.
And the compound benefited from it.
CF99 didn't strike her as the kind of solders who were ready to settle down yet. They still had that itch under their skins to get out there and do somthing. Anything.
She hadn't expected them to make any real effort to stick around until she met the reason that they did.
Omega was just the most perfect ray of sunshine that Ahsoka had ever met. She was kind, resilient, and optimistic. Even in the face of her most brazen and unlikable brother, Crosshair.
In a sea of brothers Ahsoka found herself a sister. She blames the little blonde girl for how Hunter puts up with Ahsoka's presence. Ahsoka and Omega clicked in that primal almost telepathic way that young girls do. Like magnets drawn to each other and disrupting the electromagnetic fields around them, bringing something young and untamed out of Ahsoka who at barely 18 often felt old.
They were close, which is why it didn't take Ahsoka long to recognize a pattern she wasn't aware even existed in anyone else, or ever could.
Despite her physical age Omega had a lot of authority with her brothers. They were quick to do almost anything she asked of them. Like a herd of new parents scrambling to keep their child happy. Many children would have become spoiled on the attention. Getting anything they wanted out of their guardians. But not Omega. With her big heart and her many years more life experience than her brothers. She used to her influence to take care of them.
To lure them to sleep with bleary eyed stories of bad dreams. Or forcing a decent eating schedule on them by insisting on having one for herself and making everyone else join her. Or railing in their wandering spirits with games, and challenges, and new emotional frontiers instead of the endless expanse of the galaxy. Or smoothing over their arguments with a subtlety that Ahsoka admired.
She was wise far beyond her years, and as much as she could twist her face into the bright eyed gleam of innocence Ahsoka often caught her looking contemplative and nurturing as she studied her brother. She ruled their lives with a gentle care almost motherly.
Another little big sister dedicating herself to keeping her brothers alive and together.
It was the only way Ahsoka could live her life after the war. And it seemed whatever happened in the labs on Kamino had the same effect of Omega.
She opened her heart to her little sister. Made a space where they could exist, exactly as they were. Kindred spirits in the galaxy. Living for love and learning to love living again. That dimming of something old and wizened in their eyes slowly transformed from something painful to something contented.
As they played their roles of kid sisters and eldest siblings.

Stars Collided || One
Previous
Lovisa scaled up the vines, that led to her balcony, in the castle, after another late night, or you could say early morning, and it was a rough one, she was excited to crawl into bed, and sleep it all away.
"WHERE IS MY DAUGHTER?!" She had heard the king bellow, just as she climbed over the railing, which had frightened her so much, she ended up toppling onto the cold hard ground, right in front of the open doors, to her bedroom.
"Oww." She groaned.
What the Princess hadn't realised, either, was that her father's voice was coming from her very own room.
"Lovey!?" Her mother's panicked voice paced towards the balcony, as other footsteps followed.
"Oh... shit" She whispered to herself, as she flicked her long dark hair, back over her head, looking up at the group of people staring at her.
Padme, her mother and her father, an man with light brown hair, that was cut into a mullet, who she recognised as Obi-Wan Kenobi, someone she hadn’t seen since she was a young girl, and beside him, was a blond, younger looking man,as well as a very serious faced man, who she knew as one of the council members of the Jedi Force.
Beside him, was her Royal Guard, who looked as though he had been sweating bullets.
"Wow, I sure am glad that I decided to wake up this early to watch the sunrise, isn't it magnificent?" She asked the group of people, who were still staring at her, in silence.
"Princess, are you quite alright?" Kuna asked, moving to help her up from the floor.
"Lovisa, where the hell have you been?" Her father demanded, not believing her lie for a second.
"Isn't it obvious, she snuck out to go into the village, again" Padme, told him.
"Hey, Pad, shut up!" Lovisa told her.
"Why were you not watching over her, Kuna?" Her mother asked, turning to the man, quick to pass blame off from her youngest daughter.
"Your highness, well you see- I-" the man stuttered over himself.
"Well, now that we know that the young princess is in fact, okay, why don't we give you all some privacy, and wait downstairs, yes?" Obi-Wan suggested, politely.
"Yes, thank you." The queen nodded.
"Kuna, you may pack your things, your job here, is done" The king said, not taking his eyes off his daughter. “You have been useless to the princess, for years.”
"What?!" Lovisa jumped up. "But father! He didn't know, don't fire him!"
"He is not needed, because you have new guardians, now, who I am sure will do their job"
Lovisa paid attention to the three men who were walking out of her room, the young blond was looking over his shoulder, at her, a smirk on his lips, it looked almost familiar to her, but she was not sure why.
"What's going on?" She asked
"Ahsoka will be in to help you get properly dressed, then you will meet us in the dining room." Her father said. "This is important, Lovey, I beg that you to take this seriously, just once."
His voice turned weak, as he said that, then her family turned, and they left the room, too.
As they walked out, Lovisa's handmaiden, Ahsoka, and also her best friend, entered.
"Thanks for the warning." Lovisa grumbled, as she got up, stripping from the small sparkly number she had been wearing.
"Sorry, Lovey, I had no chance, a lot has happened." Ahsoka apologised, as she raided Lovisa's large wardrobe, picking out an elegant pale blue, long sleeve dress.
"What happened? Why are the Jedi here?"
"There was another attack" Her friend replied, in a low and hushed tone. "In the castle, this time. I don't know much else, Luckily they had got here, to help, but the attackers escaped."
"And everyone's okay? No one was hurt?"
"Not badly, no, but... they were after Padme-"
"Of course they were"
"And you, Princess. They were after the both of you, that's why everyone was in your room, the attacker had tried looking for you, but for once, your rebellious tendencies had saved you."
"But, what were they after me for?"
"I am not sure." Ahsoka hummed, as she helped Lovisa dress herself.
Once her tiara was placed upon her head, Lovisa left her bedroom, her arm linked with Ahsoka, as they made their way to one of the dining rooms.
"Princess, I see that you were located." One of the guards, Colo, said, as he opened the door for her.
"Yes I was, thank you, Colo." She smiled, as she bowed her head, at him. "I hear that my hiding did a great fortune, for my life."
"You are very lucky, Princess." He winked, knowingly.
"Lovisa, get a move on!" The king barked.
"Bye, Colo." She quickly dismissed, as she entered the room full of people, as they sat around the table. "Well, good morning, everyone." She greeted.
In front of her seat, was the usual shot that she was made to take, after events, followed along with the strawberry milk, her favourite.
She threw back the glass, a shiver taking over her body, before sipping on the pink drink.
"I hear we have serious business to attend to-"
"Sit down, and be quiet."
"Yes, father." She sighed, sitting down next to her sister, she looked over her shoulder, spotting her friend stood by the wall, with Padme and her mothers handmaidens.
"I assume Ahsoka has caught you up on what has happened." Her mother said, as she nervously flicked her eyes around the group of people.
"Yes, but, why? What do they want with me?"
"Well, Princess" Master Windu started, his fingers laced together on the table. "We believe that it could ultimately be three things, either, use you as an bargaining chip, to force your father into meeting whatever demands they have, or they want to kill the both of you off, ending your bloodline, or ... at least one of you."
"What do you mean?"
"They only need one princess to marry into the royal family." The young blond man spoke up, the one who had smirked at her earlier.
"Anakin." The man with the mullet, Master Obi-Wan Kenobi told him.
"And you know this, how?"
"Because they do!" Padme snapped at her.
"So who is they?"
"We are not sure." Master Windu, answered, with a heavy sigh.
"But the Jedi have promised to find out who it is." The king said.
"We will, I assure you." Obi-Wan answered.
"But, after last night, we have decided that the two of you are just not safe in the Kingdom."
"Mother!" Padme gasped.
"What?!" Lovisa demanded.
"It's too much of a risk. So you will be travelling to The Lake District, for the foreseeable future."
"No." Lovisa stood up.
"Pardon?" The king challenged his youngest daughter.
"Im not going into hiding, they only want Padme, anyway, besides, I can protect myself." She folded her arms across her chest.
"You will be going." The king also stood up. "Because Master Obi-Wan, and his Padawan, will make sure of it."
Lovisa scoffed, as she looked at the pair.
"They can try."
Lovisa almost missed the way, Anakin's face had screwed up in offence, as she turned to continue staring down her father.
"Please, Lovey" Her mother almost begged. "We just want to make sure you are safe."
"And at least we can assure you're not sneaking off to god knows where." Her father commented with a grumble.
"If I hadn't, I'd be dead, by now." She replied.
"You will leave within the hour, I suggest you pack, you are all dismissed." The king of Naboo stepped away from the table, and towards one of the many doors.
"Mother, this isn't fair." Lovisa looked at the woman.
"Well, honey, we didn't ask someone to assassinate our only daughters." She snapped, following after the man.
Padme got up from the table, her handmaiden, Sabé, following in her steps, as they left for her chambers, knowing when her choices were limited, better than her sister.
"Princess, would you like me to begin packing?" Ahsoka asked, as she sat back down.
The Jedi at the table, were also leaving the room.
"Very well." Lovisa answered, defeat clear in her voice.
"Princess, I am very good at my job."
She looked up, at the blond man, or boy, who looked similar to her own age, Anakin.
"My name is Anakin Skywalker, and I will lay down my own life, before I let anything happen to you." He told her, as she looked at him, he was quite handsome, she noticed.
"Don't worry, Im not the important sister" She said.
"No, but I aim to prove you wrong, Princess, I won't be trying, I will succeed." He told her, his face full of sincerity. Then he turned and walked out the room, his robes flowing behind him.
"We'll see about that." She muttered quietly, to herself.
"Lovey, there is no need to make his job harder than it needs to be" Ahsoka chided, having watched the whole thing, as she had not left, yet.
"Well, Snips, I don't like to be proven wrong." Lovisa continued to watch his back, sensing a new task.
"So you're happy to wage your life?"
"If that's what it takes" She shrugged.

Sabine Wren & Ezra Bridger
Family's End - and Beginning (Part One)
Story Summary: What if the events of Ahsoka had happened differently? What if Sabine had made darker choices in her quest to find Ezra? What if the Ezra she found waiting on Peridea was no longer the heroic young Jedi from her youth? The return of Ezra Bridger to the known galaxy should have been a cause for celebration. But, instead, it heralded war . . .
*Art done by my fantastic friend, Scragon!
Seatos - The Fall
The scarlet blade of her adversary whipped in the space where her head had been mere seconds before; Sabine ducked into a low side-ways roll, her combat reflexes serving her well in this life-or-death duel.
She came back to her feet and ignited her lightsaber in a guard stance. The emerald blade sprang into existence with a satisfying snap-hiss.
Shin Hati, the dark-side mercenary, eyed her with grim amusement. The tree her blade had struck, instead of Sabine's head, began to tip over having been cut clean through. The crimson line of cauterized wood hissed and sparked as the top began to slip off the trunk, before falling completely over with a deafening thunk.
The red forest around them rustled and whispered with echoes from the fallen tree - and then fell silent. Sabine felt her skin break out in goosebumps at the eerie silence enveloping them like a funeral shroud.
Shin stared at her malevolently. The young woman's eyes were devoid of humanity; it only reflected the scarlet of her blade.
"You are amusing," Shin said. "So much fun to play with you."
Sabine tightened her grip on the lightsaber hilt. She stepped cautiously to her right, her eyes never leaving the mercenary. Sweat dripped down her brow; her breathing was tight and controlled.
Control your fear, she thought. I need to get through this.
For Ezra.
Her friend's face, as she remembered it, flashed through her mind; a bright, earnest face with piercing blue eyes that looked as though they could pierce through durasteel. She had always found those eyes to be magnetic, almost arresting in their gaze. When she was younger, Sabine quietly admitted to herself - and no one else - that she liked Ezra looking at her.
His face, his smell, his voice, his laugh and the quiet, easy confidence he gained as he grew in his Force powers and Jedi training - all of it surged through her mind like raw voltage, giving her surety and courage.
The fear dissipated like mist in the early morning dawn. Sabine stared at her adversary and said, "I'd appreciate it if we could speed this up. It's getting a little boring for me."
Shin seemed disappointed by that statement. "You're not enjoying this?"
"No, not really. You don't exactly meet my preference of dance partner."
The mercenary cocked her head. "You prefer Bridger?"
"Keep his name out of your mouth," snapped Sabine.
An evil grin slowly spread over Shin's face. "You'll be seeing him soon enough," she whispered.
And then she struck forward with a Force-enhanced dash. Sabine met her scarlet blade with her own emerald one, emitting a battle cry. The two blades erupted into hissing, sparks flying from where the plasma connected.
"I'll be sure to send him to you after I kill you," snarled Shin. "You can be reunited in whatever existence comes after this."
Sabine gritted her teeth, pushing with all her might against Shin's blade. "You talk too much," she replied tersely and forced the mercenary back with a shove.
Shin slid back a few inches only but it gave Sabine an opening. She slashed forward, her lightsaber a green-white blur against Shin's blade.
Shin parried her strikes, eyes narrowing with murderous intent - and then widening in surprise.
Too late, Sabine thought smugly.
Always be aware of your surroundings, Ahsoka had taught her.
The fallen tree trunk that Shin had slashed now lay directly behind her. Sabine pressed her attack -
Shin tripped with a cry over the trunk. She sprawled onto her backside, scrambling to get clear -
Sabine leapt up, the tip of her emerald blade pointed down towards Shin's chest -
Shin raised a hand at the last second.
Sabine froze in mid-air, gripped by an invisible force.
"Damn it!" she yelled. The point of her lightsaber was mere inches away from the mercenary's sternum. It might as well have been a hundred miles away, for all the good it did her.
Panting, hand still raised, Shin acknowledged her. "Not bad, Wren. Almost had me."
Sabine fought with all her strength but she could not escape the Force-grip the mercenary had on her.
Shin sneered at her. "Almost being the operative word there."
With casual contempt, she flung Sabine backwards. Sabine hit a tree, hard; the Mandalorian armor absorbed most of the blow, but it still left her winded when she collapsed onto the leaf-strewn ground below.
Get up. Get up!
Sabine had barely gotten her legs back underneath her when she was lifted yet again in another Force-grip. Shin was walking towards her, malicious glee lighting up her dead eyes.
Sabine waited until the mercenary was within range . . .
Shin stopped a foot away from her. Close enough, Sabine thought.
She twitched her right forearm, pointing it towards Shin - and then squeezed her hand into a fist, activating the flamethrower mechanism within the vambrace.
A gout of bright, orange flame erupted with a howl at Shin. She screamed and dove to the side.
And, more importantly, lost her concentration for the Force-grip.
Sabine was ready; the moment she felt the grip dissolve, she dropped into a low roll and came back to her feet with the lightsaber ready.
Shin, with a snarl, threw off her burning cloak and glared at Sabine.
"So many tricks," she hissed. "But they cannot hide the truth."
Sabine leapt at her, her emerald blade a blur in the furious strikes she aimed at Shin. The mercenary danced around them, parrying it away with a sickening grin, constantly moving.
They fought to a standstill in the middle of a familiar clearing - Shin was maneuvering them somewhere -
No. Maneuvering her.
The mercenary laughed and gave Sabine a vicious Force-shove.
The fallen tree trunk. Shin was using the same tactic on her.
And she had fallen for it. With a scream of rage, Sabine fell over the tree trunk, like Shin had mere minutes ago.
She tried to roll over onto her side, fighting to get the wind back in her -
Shin stood over her, a grim monotone colored ghost against the red backdrop of the forest. With a cackle, her boot came down on Sabine's neck, pinning her to the ground.
Sabine struck out with her lightsaber, hoping it would drive the mercenary off her -
Shin swatted her strike aside with contemptuous ease. Her boot dug deep into Sabine's neck, choking off her air.
The mercenary leaned down, eyes wide with sadistic glee. "You have no power here, Wren. That is the truth your tricks cannot hide."
Weakly, vision fading from the lack of air, Sabine tried to strike at Shin again. This time, the mercenary grabbed her hand.
"This lightsaber belonged to Bridger, didn't it?" asked Shin. "He gave it to you."
Ezra . . .
You know I can always count on you.
She was fading.
F a d i n g . . .
"A Jedi's life is their lightsaber," continued Shin, oblivious to Sabine's pain. "It is a gift, rarely given."
The mercenary glanced down at Sabine and gave her a wicked sneer.
"What a waste. His faith in you was misplaced."
With a grunt, Shin drew on the Force for extra strength and brutally crushed Sabine's hand, her lightsaber still in it.
Sabine screamed as she watched the metallic cylinder warp and dent in her grip - before the emerald blade whimpered out of existence.
Laughing, Shin stepped off Sabine's neck. She watched Sabine's hand fall limp, the crushed lightsaber hilt still sparking feebly in her grip.
"No," whispered Sabine. Ezra's lightsaber. His last gift to her.
You know I can always count on you.
Something dark and poisonous began to bloom inside Sabine's chest.
She heard Shin's lightsaber activate with a sinister snap-hiss.
Sabine didn't care. She just stared at the broken lightsaber in her hand.
You know I can always count on you.
The thing inside her chest began to roar and shake. Beating at the inside of her sternum, howling to be freed.
A scarlet blade appeared over her face. She could feel the heat radiating from Shin's blade.
"Time to die," Shin declared. "I'll send your beloved Bridger to see you soon, I promise."
Ezra.
Something
inside
Sabine
snapped.
There was a howling in her head, as she reached deep within - deeper than she'd ever delved before - reaching inside that dark, swirling abyss she'd kept at bay all these years -
Touching some raw power that had lain dormant. Waiting for her to break through with the strength forged from rage, from despair, from grief -
Sabine touched the Force.
And it leapt to obey her.
She snarled and twisted her other hand in a vicious motion.
Shin's arm snapped with an audible crack in the quiet forest. Screaming, in shock, the mercenary dropped her lightsaber.
Sabine quietly got to her feet and picked it up. She looked at Shin's lightsaber and then back at her own ruined one.
She clipped her own lightsaber back onto her belt and then activated Shin's.
Falling to her knees with the pain, the mercenary stared at Sabine with some new emotion in her eyes.
Is that fear? Sabine thought.
The idea made her feel a little sick - but she also recognized the private thrill of satisfaction underneath it, running like a cool stream of water underneath the heat of battle.
Shin was helpless before her, staring at the scarlet blade in Sabine's hand.
Sabine stepped in front of her. The glow from Shin's blade threw the mercenary's face into sickly light in the dim forest; she shied away from the deadly hum and heat emanating from the lightsaber.
"What are you going to do now?" asked the mercenary. Her voice, thread through with pain, was still surprisingly steady. "Are you going to kill me?"
Sabine considered her words, cocking her head.
Shin smirked. "You can't do it. You don't have the - "
Sabine made a single, swift slash.
Shin's body fell to the ground. Something rolled away from it, softly thumping against the forest ground.
Sabine felt sick inside, staring at the mercenary's headless corpse.
"Like I said before," she said coldly. "You talk too much."
Fear, anger, violence - a warning through the Force.
Sabine mentally shook herself, focusing on the new sensations. Somewhere, up ahead, an intense battle was taking place.
Ahsoka. Baylan Skoll.
Her master needed her. She closed down Shin's lightsaber, grabbed the map, and dashed through the forest, drawing on the Force for extra speed.
And tried not to think about the body she had left behind.
She arrived just in time to see Ahsoka being backed up against a stone pillar by Baylan's brutal attacks.
Heart hammering away inside, Sabine yelled for her master. "Ahsoka!"
Ahsoka spared a glance at her and yelled back, "Sabine! We take him together!"
Sabine didn't need to be told twice; igniting Shin's lightsaber, she leapt into the fray.
Baylan immediately noticed Sabine's new weapon. "No - it can't be. Shin - "
"Won't be joining us," Sabine replied coldly. "She lost her head in the fight."
The distraction worked. Ahsoka slipped out of Baylan's attack and slashed away with her pure-white blade. The former Jedi was put off his guard and forced to give way in order to defend against Ahsoka's attacks.
Sabine waited for a moment when the battle gave her an opportunity -
There. An opening. She dipped her blade low and slashed at Baylan's lower leg; a hole in his defense opened up by Ahsoka's strikes.
The mercenary pivoted with a grunt, parrying away Sabine's blade -
Forcing his flank to be wide open for Ahsoka. She took the opportunity to dash forward and grabbed for Baylan's wrist.
He cried out in frustration as the Jedi Knight twisted it in a classic disarming move. The big man was forced to his knees and dropped his lightsaber.
Sabine scooted forward and kicked it off to the side. Ahsoka, not taking any chances, kept Baylan's arm twisted and locked in position. He couldn't move without causing enormous pain.
"Surrender. You are beaten," she said.
Baylan growled, "Never."
"Suit yourself," Ahsoka replied. Clenching her teeth, she Force-shoved him into the nearest stone pillar, knocking him unconscious.
And the battle was over. Sabine let out a breath she didn't even realize she was holding and deactivated her - no, not hers, Shin's - lightsaber.
"Nice work," she said.
Ahsoka looked at her, frowning. "What happened to your lightsaber?"
Sabine gestured at the broken weapon clipped on her belt. "It broke, unfortunately. Shin's fault."
She looked at her master, a smirk forming on her face. "I paid her back for it, though."
Ahsoka's frown deepened even more. Sabine felt a gradually rising sense of annoyance from her master's disapproval.
"Did you really kill Shin?"
"Yes," snapped Sabine. "She didn't leave me a choice."
With a grimace, Sabine pulled out the map. "It doesn't matter. Look, we have the map. Ahsoka, we can find Ezra now. We can bring him home."
Something beeped on Baylan's arm, drawing their attention away. Ahsoka walked over, examined the source.
"What is it?" asked Sabine.
Ahsoka cursed. "An alarm. We must have tripped it during the battle. They'll be sending reinforcements."
"Well, let's high-tail it out of here, then. They can't do anything without the map, right?"
Ahsoka just looked at here. "And then what, Sabine?"
Sabine blinked at her in confusion. "And then we figure out a way to get to Ezra. What else?"
"They'll never stop chasing after the map, Sabine. Wherever we go, there will be a fight," Ahsoka pointed out. "Innocents might get caught in the cross-fire."
Sabine felt her stomach sinking at what Ahsoka was suggesting.
"You're not serious," she said. "We're not doing this. We have the map, Ahsoka!"
"The enemy will never stop! We discussed this. The map has to be destroyed, we have no more time."
Sabine gritted her teeth. "I'm not leaving Ezra out there to die alone, far away from home! I've come too far to stop now."
She stepped forward, pleading. "Please. Please, let's just re-consider this and think of another way."
Ahsoka's gaze softened into sadness. She shook her head. "I'm truly sorry, Sabine. I know how much Ezra means to you. But we cannot risk the return of Thrawn."
The wind howled through the desolate stone structure. A storm was approaching. The beeping emanating from Baylan's vambrace began to intensify in speed and volume.
Ahsoka held out her hand. "Give me the map, Sabine."
I know I can always count on you.
Gripping the map tightly to her chest, Sabine shook her head and took a step back.
Ahsoka sighed - and then reached out with the Force. The map snapped from Sabine's grasp into Ahsoka's.
No, thought Sabine. It can't end like this.
The howling inside her chest began to grow once more . . .
Ahsoka placed the map onto the stone pedestal.
No.
The Jedi Knight ignited her lightsaber. Raised it up -
I know I can always count on you.
"No!" screamed Sabine. The scarlet blade erupted in her hand and she brought it slashing at Ahsoka's face.
Ahsoka pivoted to block her attack. Eyes wide with shock, she shouted over the buzzing of their locked blades, "What are you doing!"
"I have to save him," said Sabine desperately. "I need to save Ezra!"
"Sabine!" yelled Ahsoka. "The whole galaxy is at stake! Don't let your feelings for Ezra cloud your judgment!"
The whole galaxy.
Numerous, countless, faceless beings. All living peaceful lives; free of war, free of terror, free of the cruelty that was all too common-place under the Empire's reign.
And none of them were Ezra Bridger.
The galaxy had long asked for the unquestionable math from her and others: one life, balanced against trillions more.
But no more.
Sabine decided to choose the one life; the only one that mattered to her now. This time, she would ignore the math and do so gladly.
She reached down into the deep, dark, red burning core that existed at the center of her being - and drew deeply on the Force.
Ahsoka sensed her intent, her face lighting up in shock at her Padawan.
"Sabine," she whispered. "You can use the Force?"
Sabine replied with a scream, full of rage, and Force-shoved her master away.
Ahsoka deftly pivoted to the side, dodging it fully. The Jedi Knight pulled out her second lightsaber, ignited it, her face full of regret - and determination.
"I'm sorry, Sabine," she said. "But this must be done. With or without you."
Sabine narrowed her eyes, raising her lightsaber to a guard stance. But she knew it was no use; despite her having access to the Force now, Ahsoka was years and years ahead of her in experience.
It would be a short fight.
I'm sorry, Ezra, she thought miserably. I tried.
And then Baylan appeared behind Ahsoka.
Sabine cried out a warning, purely on reflex. Ahsoka turned -
It was too late. With a grunt, Baylan seized her by the throat and threw her at a stone pillar. It shook with from the sheer force of Ahsoka hitting it, dust sloshing off in a sudden cloud.
"No!" screamed Sabine. Her anger at Ahsoka had evaporated, turning into terror as Baylan began to press his attack. She ran at him, slashing away with her lightsaber -
Baylan, without looking at her, waved his hand in a dismissive motion. Sabine felt herself forced backwards, stumbling onto the ground in a sprawl.
Fully focused on Ahsoka, he raised his other hand in a tight fist. Ahsoka rose into the air, her hands scrabbling at her throat.
Baylan said regretfully, "Such a pity. I didn't want to kill you, Ahsoka Tano."
His expression hardened. "But I'd like to even the score with your apprentice. So I'm afraid this is farewell."
And with a mighty yell, he sent her flying over the cliff edge.
Sabine could only watch in horror as she saw her master disappear. Somehow, despite her mind frozen in shock, she found herself scrambling to the stone pedestal to grab the map.
Baylan turned around to look at her. Sabine ignited her lightsaber and held it over the map.
He chuckled. "It's too late for that, Sabine Wren."
"Stay away!" she shouted. "I'll destroy it!"
His chuckle turned into a full throated laugh. "No, you won't. You would have done so already, as your former master asked."
He was right. She knew he was right.
She aimed the lightsaber's scarlet blade at Baylan, desperation seeping through her voice. "I'll kill you if you don't stay back!"
He cocked his head at her statement. "Like you killed your master?"
Sabine froze. "No. No, that was you! You threw Ahsoka over the edge."
"But you struck at her. Giving me the opening I needed. Quite the team we make." Baylan took a step closer.
"We are not a team. We will never be a team!"
The mercenary took another step forward. His face was weathered, but not unkind. "Such loyalty you display towards Ezra Bridger. I know how deeply you care for him."
Another step closer . . .
He held out his hand. "You don't have to give me the map, Sabine. Come with me, instead. We can find your friend, Ezra, together."
Ezra.
I know I can always count on you.
Another step closer. He was almost directly in front of her now, mere feet away. "You've already come so far. You've betrayed your master. You've betrayed the principals you once staked your life on."
"What's one more step, Sabine? What is Ezra Bridger's life worth to you?"
A whole galaxy at stake.
He took another step forward. Inches away, his hand was from hers.
She knew, deep down, that she had already made the calculations on that math.
Sabine closed her eyes, took a deep, shuddering breath - and reached out to take Baylan's hand.
When she opened her eyes back up, she saw Baylan smiling.
"Well chosen," he said approvingly.
And then Baylan said something that chilled her to the bone.
"Welcome to your first steps into a wider universe," he said. "My new apprentice."

Home isn’t a place, it‘s a feeling.
pairing: Fem!Reader x Ezra Bridger
warnings: none, there’s fluff at the end
word count: 2,7k
summary: Home. Such a simple word and it still was so hard to describe. Since Ezra disappeared from your lives, you didn’t really acknowledge the building you lived in as your home. It all changed though when an unauthorized imperial shuttle caught your attention.
authors note: Finally! I started writing this one last week 😭
however, we were ROBBED of Heras and Ezras hug, literally robbed. anyway, here’s another ff dedicated to our underrated spaceboy c:
enjoy <3
Home.
Such a simple word.
And it still was so hard to describe.
Most people would say that it’s the place where you grew up.
Your house, your room or your Planet.
It’s meaning being completely forgotten.
To you it was more of an emotion then a place.
Memories and people that defined who you are today.
People that grew very important to you.
People that managed to work together, as a family.
People that made you feel safe.
How long has it been now?
10 years?
10 years since you last saw him?
10 years since you kept your hopes up for the best?
10 unimaginable long years that seemed to never have a happy ending for you?
10 years of living with the fear of not knowing if he survived or not?
If you knew better back then you wouldn’t have let Ezra go this easy as you did.
He told you that he’d be alright, that he’d be careful.
But when the purrgils took off with the Chimarea, jumping into hyperspace, somewhere into the unknown, you couldn’t help but feel helpless.
Helpless because you weren’t able to stop him.
Because you couldn’t do anything more then to watch him go.
That the last ‚I love you‘ he ever heard from you was from your filtered voice trough his comm link.
He was gone and nobody believed in his return, at least not the ones who’d have the resources to bring him back.
Only Hera, Sabine, Ahsoka and you were determined to find him.
When Ahsoka found a map, leading to a unknown galaxy, your hopes of finding him again went up. A feeling of excitement made it’s way back to you, a feeling you didn’t feel for a long time now.
There was still hope.
And when Hera told you that Ahsoka and Sabine made their way to possibly find Ezra, you couldn’t help but feel the most excited you ever felt during the last decade.
Little did you know that today was the day.
-
„I have a strange feeling about something..“
You, Chopper and Jacen were sitting on the ghosts couch, talking about different things.
Jacen often wanted to hear you tell him stories about the rebellion, about your missions, his father, his mother and ‚that guy‘ named Ezra.
He never met him, how could he?
Hearing you all talk about him most of the time confused Jacen, so he decided to take the things into his own hands and try to understand why everyone was so fond of him by hearing your stories about Ezra.
„About what?“
You asked the younger boy while you tried to pick the next story you wanted to tell him.
He just shrugged, looking around and then returning his gaze to you.
„I don’t know.. something just felt off earlier“
Just before you could answer anything to him you heard Heras voice calling out for you.
„y/n! I need you on the main hangar now, an unauthorized shuttle requested to land here“
She said, somehow stressed? But why? That wasn’t something new after all.
„Isn’t this something.. I don’t know… common?“
It was a small shuttle after all?
„It belongs to the empire“
Her voice was stern now, hiding something more important.
The empire? This whole thing just got more interesting.
„… and?“
„The shuttles ID is kinda old..“
This caught your full interest now.
„How old exactly?“
„…“
„Hera?“
„I don’t know how but..“
There was a short break before she continued to speak.
Trying to understand what was happening herself.
„The ID… is registered under Thrawns flagship..“
You expected everything, everything but this.
Your eyes widened at the news, you felt your heart starting to beat faster.
„The Chimaera…?“
„Yes.. this shuttle… somehow managed to return“
Jacen noticed the shift in your behavior, you seemed to be lost in your thoughts.
"Are you still there?"
He heard his mother ask you.
"y/n?"
Knowing that it was some star destroyer that 'took' Ezra away from you, he came to a conclusion of his own.
"That ship.."
He finally catched your Attention, you turned around, looking at him while he tried to find the right words.
"The Chimarea.. was this the ship that... uhmm.."
"Yes"
There was a silent moment between the three of you until Hera decided to speak up again.
„We don’t know who’s flying the shuttle right now but… You may want to find this out so I guess that you should start and make your way to the hangar“
„Okay“
„Take your blasters with you, just in case“
-
You made your way to the hangar. A lot of people were here, everyone holding his blasters tight, waiting for the shuttle to finally land.
Hera stood next to, both of you having your eyes trained on the unexpected visitor.
„Don’t shoot unless they try something stupid and Jacen, you stay behind“
Commanded Hera.
The shuttle now finally touched the hangars floor. The sound of the ramp opening now echoing freely around this place.
It took some seconds for the person to walk out but you soon recognized the stormtroopers armor. It was pretty worn, had a lot of scratches, even some fabric strips holding some parts together. Compared to the other imps, this was the dirtiest armor you’ve ever seen.
The person stepped put of the shuttle, his hands up, signaling that he didn’t want to start a fight.
Everyone including you and Hera raised his blasters, the trooper on gunpoint.
However, something about all of this felt off. Something was familiar to you but you didn’t know what exactly.
Whenever you looked at the armored person in front of you, you couldn’t help but think that it’s presence was familiar.
Not only that, but you felt the person staring at you trough his or hers visor.
Despite not being force sensitive at all, it almost felt like as if the force was trying to tell you something.
The way how the person was walking seemed familiar, even the way how they raised their hands.
Chopper seemed to recognize something though, not much time after the person left the shuttle, he started to roll towards him, you assumed that it was a man.
„Chopper!“
Hera was just as confused as everyone. The droid didn’t hesitate to roll up to this stranger, letting him even pat his head while he gave happy beeps from him for everyone to hear.
Was this really a stranger? Chopper recognized Someone so dear to him to even let him pat his stubborn head.
The first started to murmur, not knowing what to do. You at the other hand tried to solve this mystery.
The shuttle belonged to the Chimaera, the trooper seemed familiar to you and Chopper didn’t waste a second after realizing something you now tried to realize too.
Chimaera.. Chopper…. Stormtrooper.
Wait, this was a Stormtrooper… a Stormtroopers armor.
„Oh my..“
You gasped at the realization, your eyes wide as you let your blasters fall down.
„y/n..?“
Hera was even more confused by now. First her war criminal of a droid starts to warm up to some random stormtrooper who was supposed to be dead and now you seem to see something that she still can’t muster.
„This can’t be..“
You continued.
„I can’t believe this..“
Tears started to form at your eyes, threatening to spill over as you started to walk towards the said ‚trooper‘.
He never really moved his gaze away from you and as you started to walk towards him, he gave Chopper a last head pat before starting to make his way to you too.
„y/n..! What in the force are you doing?“
Hera wanted to go after you but she was stopped by her son.
„Stay back.. and watch“
He said, seeming to also know who the person behind that mask was.
„Tell me.. who is this?“
„You’ll soon find out“
You now just stood inches away from him.
He lowered his hands, standing still, seeming to be overwhelmed by something.
And you knew what that something was, depending if your guess of him was right.
„I can’t believe this..“
You started, looking up to him to where you assumed where his eyes.
„After 10 years…“
You trailed off, moving your hands up to his face, placing them on the helmet as you tears started to spill over.
„You came back…“
There was a shiver in your voice when you managed to break the lock, slowly taking of his helmet.
„Please.. please let it be you“
You removed the helmet as gently as you could, holding it while you found yourself mesmerized once again.
Vibrant blue eyes were looking straight to your eyes. The same loving look you used to see on a daily basis a decade ago.
His hair had grown since the last time you saw him, his curls pressed because of the helmet. He even had a beard.
You were at a loss of words, it was him. Ezra.
Your Ezra.
„Hey y/n… it’s me.. it’s really me..“
He said, his eyes never leaving yours as you let the helmet fall.
As if you were acting by some hidden instinct, you threw your arms around him, taking him into the most heartfelt embrace you’ve ever given to anyone in your whole life.
Your tears had no barriers now as you let them stream down freely.
„Don’t you ever dare to do this again..!“
Was all you managed to say between your sobs.
Ezra didn’t waste any second, wrapping you tight in his arms while you two fell down to your knees, holding each other close.
„Ezra..“
Hera was shocked, speechless, not knowing what the hell was happening right now. Jacen at the other hand smiled, sensing the relief in her. Something he didn’t sense in her for a long time now.
„Given them a moment.. I have a feeling that they need it“
He then said, looking back to the reunited couple.
„I missed you so much“
You heard him say, the shakiest you’ve ever heard his voice.
„The thought of you was the only thing that kept me sane..“
He said while you nuzzled your head in his neck, not wanting to ever let go of him again.
„Knowing that this day would come“
You felt something wet drip on your cheek, you raised your head from where it was resting on his shoulder to look at him.
His eyes were filled with tears. He seemed to be happy, relieved… at peace.
Nobody except him knew what he had to face until he was finally back.
What horrors he had to endure while he was stranded somewhere alone.
Something in his eyes told you that he didn’t care about anything that had happened in the past 10 years, instead they seemed to tell you something else.
Something that the both of you knew.
Everything that mattered right now was that he was back, back by your side.. back to the people that cared for him.
„You’re an idiot.. do you know that?“
You somehow managed to chuckle while you looked at his loving eyes.
And there it was, there was the smirk he used to give you whenever he tried to be romantic.
„I‘m your idiot“
„That’s correct“
The last time you heard his voice was when he used the force to talk to you all for one last time before he disappeared.
It also reminded you that the last time he heard your voice was through the filtered comm link.
„I love you“
You moved your hand to cup his cheek, the once which still held his prominent scars.
And he did it too, he placed his hand on the lower side of your face, his other still wrapped tightly around your body.
„I love you too“
Your faces moved closer and when they were close enough, you connected your lips, sharing a long kiss.
It somehow replaced everything you both could’ve said to each other.
You both didn’t say a word, deepening the kiss while you didn’t let go of each other.
As of you were both scared that the other would vanish the second you’d loose the grip on the other.
Chopper started to beep in a teasing way, catching you both off guard as he managed to get a chuckle from Ezra.
You pulled apart and, while you both still held each other close, you also felt a warm feeling inside you. Safety.
A few seconds passed and the sound of boots walking closer to you got louder.
Ezra looked over your shoulder and his eyes widened again.
„Welcome home.. Ezra“
Hera stood in front of them, fighting against her own tears as she looked at her, technically, ‚adopted son‘.
She knelt down to be on the same level as you two.
„Can I..?“
She asked and you two instantly pulled her closer into your hug.
Let’s just say that it was a very heartwarming reunion.
-
A week passed now since Ezra’s arrival.
You invited him to live with you in your apartment, even offering him the other side of your bed.
Which indeed was an act of true love for you since your most treasured furniture was your bed.
Your sleep being the only thing that you enjoyed.
Considering this, letting him have the other half was indeed something very important to you.
However, there was something different now.
For 10 years you somehow developed a feeling that didn’t seem right.
This was the place where you lived, the place where you spent day and night.
But you never felt complete here.
No matter how much you‘d add there, be it any kind of furniture or decoration, there was something missing.
Something or better.. someone.
With Ezra being back, the building that most of the people would call home, was finally complete.
It’s crazy that you lived here for many years now but you never felt that it was your home. Not until he was again right by your side.
You were cuddled up against him, resting your head on his chest.
It was early in the morning and he was still sleeping.
You at the other hand were already awake, nuzzling your face against him.
The effect he had on you was crazy.
And he made you realize something.
No matter where you were, where you lived or where you stayed.
No matter the conditions.
Wherever you were.. wherever he was with you..
That’d be the place you’d call your home.
Because even if you lived here for many years, you never really felt at home.
But since the moment he returned, this warm feeling of knowing that you had somewhere to go.. the word ‚home‘ instantly regained its meaning for you.
He made you feel safe, loved and cared for.
He was your safe space.
Your everything.
Deep in your heart you knew the answer to the question you used to ask yourself in the past years.
He was your home.
And you were his.
He didn’t tell this to you but when he was back in Perridea, he of corse didn’t feel at home at all.
Not only because he was trapped in another galaxy. No.
He even had his own ‚home‘ when he travelled with his new friends.
He spent 10 years of his life there and not one of those years, not even for a second, he was able to somehow feel as if he had a home there.
Because you weren’t there.
And when he came back, when he walked off that Shuttle.
When he finally looked into your eyes.
He instantly felt something that literal buildings didn’t manage to do.
He felt at home.
In his case, his home wasn’t just a lifeless building… instead it was something bigger… a Person.
The Person he wanted to spend his entire life with.
You.

The fact fandom sees Obi-Wan as an uwu baby at 25 years old while also considering that Anakin should have got his feelings over his mother together at 9 show how bad it can get when we infantilize the characters to suit our vision of them imo.
At 25 Obi-Wan was a grown young adult when he started taking care of Anakin, in fact many people in real life marry and have children at that age, in light of that his hurt feelings and jealousy over Qui-Gon asking him to be knighted, which is supposed to be a good thing, a recognition of his skills, so he could take care of Anakin, show Qui-Gon was right in that Obi-Wan still had some maduration to go but that he was ready to be a Jedi Knight.
ObiWan defeating Maul sealed the deal for the council but it also presents a very problematic precedent, it wasn´t his emotional maturity and wiseness the thing that made Obi-Wan a knight but his dueling skills in his combat with Maul after his master was killed.
In Anakin´s case at 9 he was old to be introduced to the Jedi because he isn´t 4 or 5 but he is very young to be made a padawan, they usually start at 13 or 14 like Ahsoka did. So given Obi-Wan wish to train him to make a reality Qui-Gon´s dying wish, Anakin was made a padawan sooner than when he was supposed to be one, not because he was a kind child who worried about others and wanted to make a lasting change in the galaxy for the slaves, he was made a padawan because of his power potential and the Jedi Order didn´t try to make adecuations to the fact he was old enough to remember seeing slaves being blow up by their masters and the fact his mother was still a slave and in constant danger of this happening to her as well. Nothing of this was addressed with Anakin, he was told in no uncertain terms that his responsibility and compromise with the Jedi Order, which he made at 9, didn´t involve him thinking about his mother or seeing her ever again. Anakin obeyed this dictate until his mother was tortured killed and he had his first fall to the dark side by taking revenge on the tuskens for the murder of his mother.
Later at 19 he is made a Knight not because he had shown a grown in his control over the force or his own feelings but because he was an able soldier with leadership skills which served him well to survive a war in which the majority of the padawans of his generation were killed , at 20 he was made a Jedi master for Ahsoka during war time, he was responsible of teaching her how to be a Jedi while also making sure she didn´t die while also taking care of his troops and giving victories to the Republic all of which he did, even when his padawan was expelled, even when his men were killed for knowing too much like in Fives case and at 23 he was a general and one of the leading Jedi in the war, married to Padme with a child on the way, so Anakin was two years younger than Obi-Wan was when he was still a padawan and meet Anakin for the first time. Anakin fell to the darkside and became Vader when he was 23 years old, two years younger than padawan Obi-Wan.
So If I use the age argument it wasn´t Obi-Wan the one who got pushed into a situation he could not have managed on his own for his age but Anakin definitely was, because of his particular power and skills even if the popular take is that Obi-Wan was a baby at 25 taking care of an ungrateful, unstable almost teenager Anakin as a 9 year old, for many fans Anakin never was a child but he was, the fact he didn´t had an actual childhood is another thing.
But well if we take this in consideration then it makes all the sense in the world Yoda choose to let Anakin´s twins grow up with their families, train Luke when he was an adult and not make him a Knight at 23 if he didn´t deal with his inner conflict over his father but it was Luke´s choice of not wanting to fight or kill his father but rather ask him to come back to him, to the person he used to be, the thing that made the difference. Anakin came back to save his child from his master, himself and the Empire, he gave up his life to give Luke and Luke´s dreams a chance.
So while age certainly is a factor it isn´t everything when it´s about a character grow and choices imo.

So i was talking to a couple of friends the other day about those hyper-realistic baby dreams a lot of women have, and it obviously got me thinking about whether any of the star wars women would have dreams like that and how they'd react to them.
Hera having one of those dreams when she was younger and dismissing it, then meeting Ezra and Sabine and realising that they make her feel the way she felt towards the child in that dream.
Satine dreaming about a toddler with auburn hair and grey-blue eyes and being briefly happy until she wakes up in an empty bed and remembers why it can never be a reality.
Padmé dreaming about playing on the beach on Naboo with a son and a daughter right after she marries Anakin and being sad when she wakes up. When she finds out she's pregnant, she's overjoyed, and thinks to herself that her dream will finally come true, except- well...
I also think Ahsoka, Bo-Katan and Ventress would have dreams like that too, but different. In their dreams, they'd have a little girl who's crying because she's upset or hurt or afraid, and they'd be trying to comfort this child only to realise at the end of the dream that it's not their child, it's them when they were a child, and the whole thing is just their brains trying to reconcile all the messed-up stuff that happened to them as little girls.
And Leia having dreams about her baby when she's pregnant, except they turn into nightmares when the baby opens its eyes and they're Sith yellow.

Obi wan anakin and ahsoka family soap blurb
So i just rewatched one of @zengers star wars ai videos on youtube (which i can only highly recommend they're the best) and heard obi wan calling anakin and ahsoka 'kids'. And this combined with their relationship what was always big bro little sister and their tired single dad i had an idea of soap about obi wan ahsoka and anakin and their daily life:
Anakin and ahsoka being the kids, anakin the older broher and ahsoka the younger sister and obi wan is their tired single dad raising them (also the mom role with their mom satine already passed away who had loved her beloved kids and husband uncondicionally and was so fun and warm and sweet and is missed every day so badly) and r2 d2 being their pet which dad never wanted but the kids found it lost without a home and begged him that they please could keep it an that they would ofc take care of it (obi dad has to take it on walks and feed it and we know it) but in the end he still loves it aswell. Yoda being their unhinged great grandvather already in retirement home telling dirty jokes at the dinner table on thanksgiving and qui gon being their grandfather living nearby teaching them dumb shit joining them on their stupid adventures. Mace windu being their neighbour who hates kids but especially them two who always destroy his peace and quite, windows and lawn. Yelling over the fence to kenobi to get his fucking brood in control while they always play pranks on him all the time. Padme being anakins girlfriend, rex their cousin and cody, quinlan and obi single dad besties, a bros since childhood trio.
Them (the kids and the dad bros) spreading chaos wherever they go. Kids making the dumbest decisions and going on the stupidest adventures together every day, going on their dads very last nerve and not listening to him most of the time. Them accidently almost blowing up the entire city by trying to get him the best gift for fathers day/ his birthday (they probably forgot it in the first place and gotta apologice) trying to show him how much they love and appreciate him and how sorry they are. They would do everything for him and love him uncondicionally. Obi dad sometimes even joining them on their dumb adventures or himself making the stupid decicions and them experiencing all kinds of chaotic days in normal day to day life.
Episodes where the dad bestie trio and all their kids together go on roadtrips camping and get lost and then get chased by a moose through the woods while some funny song playing the background. Or a funny day trip and then at the drive home anakin would be like "...and that was so funny you should have heard that loud splash when i threw her into the fountain, she was so mad tho. But it was so worth it cause it was sooo funny" "Well certainly not for your poor, soaking wet sister" "oh by the way while we are talking about her....where is she?" "What do you mean anakin? She's right th..." and obi dad then turning blank white in the face after looking in the backmirror while driving realising they had forgotten her in the hotel lobby (still dripping wet) and him than doing a 360. turn weels screaching and yeeting of to get her. Her pouting all the way home and obi wan apologizing the whole time "dear i'm so sorry i don't know how that could have happen your brother was going on my nerves with the pool animal and" and anakin just laughing.
Then in the end of the episodes they'd be sitting on the couch in the living room like "dad you know that we love you so much thank you for being the best of all dads" and these were the rare moments they'd be so serious and he'd be like "aw kids even tho you k*ll my very last nerve every day of course i love you guys too more than everything and i could never imagine my life without you two in it" "and r2" "yeah ofc and r2" and then after a cute warm cuddle anakin would say something like "even tho you're old as f*ck" and crack the moment with the invicible audience laughing and obi dad shaking his head sighing and laughing and then the episode ends.
Just their daily life that would be an awesome, fantastic family comedy soap.
Any show title ideas anyone?
#someone please make and 80s family soap intro for this#i'd watch the shit out of it#anakin and ahsoka either being partners in crime or fighting and trolling each other no in between#he would definetly have a mug that says best dad in the galaxy which he got from them and hell he loves it#i would love that#it would be so funny#obi wan kenobi#star wars#star wars prequels#star wars fandom#attack of the clones#revenge of the sith#the phantom menace#the clone wars#space jesus#anakin skywalker#clone wars#ahsoka tano#star wars ahsoka#ahsoka#anakin

Wait you're making a fic for your torgruta au?? Tell me more please
Yeah, I've been thinking about writing a fic about it for a while now. Most likely it's going to be a series of oneshots so I can hop around to different parts of the story I find interesting.
A lot of the ideas are coming from the hyena discord, so I can't claim them as my own. But they are just too good to pass up. Like togruta making infrasound with their montrals and constantly projecting their moods. So when Anakin first gets to the Temple he's constantly screaming for him mom at a pitch that only other togruta can hear.
I've decided that that's actually how he first meets Ahsoka. She hears him making his lost, scared, where's mom, where's family sounds and seeks him out to comfort him. Ahsoka would be about four here, and would have left Shili recently enough that she could still remember what those noises mean, even if Tatooine togruta sound different from Shili togruta. (to a Shili tog Anakin's distressed noises sound like he's being maimed, but that's just because of the generational trauma and general awfulness of being a togruta on Tatooine. What they would think of the vocalizations he makes when actually being maimed we will not think about)
So Anakin and Ahsoka end up growing up together right from the start, and the main reason Anakin is so insistent on being knighted early is so that Ahsoka can be his padawan. It's a private thought he has to himself at first, but as Ahsoka gets older and no masters are showing any interest in taking her on she starts to panic. Anakin tells her that he'll just have to get knighted before she ages out so that he can be her master. And then the Clone War starts and he realizes that keeping his promise means bringing her onto the battlefield with him where she could die and he's not sure if he'll be enough to keep her alive :)
Because Shmi is a togruta too she does not get bought by Cleigg Lars. I am just. not dealing with the implications of that. (Listen. I want to read Shmi's marriage to him as a good thing, but I have a very hard time doing that.)
Now, there's actually a comic (Legands, I think, not Disney canon) where Gardulla goes to Watto and tries to buy Anakin back after he wins the Boonta Eve Classic. So have some fun thoughts about what would have happened to Anakin if he hadn't gone with Qui-Gon.
In the fic, Gardulla goes to buy Anakin but of course he left with the Jedi, so Gardulla decides she'll take Shmi as payment for Watto's debts. After all, if Shmi already had one child who turned out to be a talented podracer, well, she might have more. Hence the younger sibling that comes about shortly after Anakin leaves.
When Anakin goes back to Tatooine because of the nightmares about his mom he finds out that Watto sold his mom back to Gardulla and has to go to her to buy his mom's freedom. Which would be traumatic, on multiple levels. Anakin finds out that a month before he arrived, Shmi tried to escape with the sister Anakin didn't know he had, and Gardulla had their chips detonated. Gardulla even gives him their triggered remotes as proof.
(Of course unbeknownst to Anakin, Shmi and the sister survived and are living with a village of other escaped togruta.)
A lot of canon still happens the same, including Anakin's fall, Order 66, Mustafar, etc. But when Bail Organa sees Ahsoka at Padme's funeral he tells her that he can take her to a mutual friend of theirs. Ahsoka thinks (hopes) it's Anakin at first, and is devastated when she realizes it's Obi-Wan (and then hates herself for feeling disappointment because she should be happy that Obi-Wan is still alive, but he's not Anakin, and this means that Anakin must be dead).
There's no Lars family and the Organas would have a harder time explaining a non-human daughter, so Ahsoka and Obi-Wan end up taking care of the twins. They eventually find their way to Tatooine because it's out of the Empire's notice and, well, because it's a connection to Anakin (Ahsoka's trying to hold onto anything she can that connects her to her brother and Obi-Wan is in his self-harming phase.)
And it's there that they eventually run into a little community of togruta and a woman who looks suspiciously like Anakin who has the last name Skywalker. But hey, Shmi gets to meet her grandkids at least. Even if it happens at the same time that she finds out that son she thought she'd sent away to a better life and hasn't seen in 13 years is dead. (Obi-Wan sees how much Anakin's death destroys Shmi and decides to never, ever tell her what he became. Vader will be his burden and it's a secret he will take to his grave. Anakin Vader is dead, and he'll save them from ever finding out how it really happened)
Of course, 15 years later Ahsoka goes to rescue some rebels from a walking death omen in black when she realizes the infrasound calls he's shrieking out of his mangled montrals is devastatingly familiar.

Everyone has my absolute sympathy for trying to sort this stuff out, because there is so much source material to sort through and so much of a game of Telephone being played (ie, one person says something they believe to be true, the next person picks it up as hard fact and repeats it as such, then the next person also believes it but adding a bit of their own assumptions to what the previous posts said, on and on until we get to where we are now in fandom) that it can be hard to sort it all out. My best advice is to just start paying attention to sources on things--like when someone posts a quote from Wild Space, I automatically think, okay, that's in the Legends continuity, because I've looked up which books are in which continuity enough to know that. Once you start doing that often enough, you start naturally understanding what comes from what continuity. Like, for a specific example--the idea of Jedi aging out at 13, when someone posts about that, where does that come from? It's always sourced back to the Jedi Apprentice books, so, okay, that's a Legends thing! Can you think of any time that came up in the movies or in TCW? If not, then it's not Lucas' continuity and it never happened there. In fact, The Clone Wars (Ahsoka's 14 in the movie and said to be on the young side for being a Padawan) + Disney (the Dooku: Jedi Lost audiodrama has a 16 year old Initiate who will have to wait another year before trying to be a Padawan again) both show that's not part of those continuities. That's pretty much it, I just constantly go after the source, figure out where something is from, and if I can't find a source, it's probably Legends or fanon. (Which is no shade! People should do what they want! But I do like knowing what's fanon and what's not.) For the Jedi stuff, I can definitely help you out--I have a Jedi reference project, which is a collection of citations from Lucas continuity + Disney continuity (if it's quoted from Lucas, the movies, or TCW s1-s6, then it's Lucas continuity, everything else is Disney on that list) and Part II has an intro section that lists the different continuities as I see them. But I would say the primary differences between Lucas/Disney and Legends Jedi are: (None of these are value judgements! I have read so many good fics that mix and match all of these things and I hope people continue to do what makes them happy, re: what goes in which continuity!) - Aging out does not seem to exist, the AgriCorps do not exist in the same fashion if they exist in Disney canon. - While Bant and Siri have been recanonized, Garen and Reeft do not exist in Disney canon, nor does Feemor or Komari. Rael Averross is Dooku's other Padawan in Disney continuity, he does not exist in Legends. - Male Cereans are not endangered, Ki-Adi-Mundi is not married in Lucas or Disney canon. - The post-ROTJ world is massively, massively different, like Luke married Mara Jade and they had a son, Ben Skywalker, Han and Leia had three children (Jacen & Jaina the twins, Anakin their youngest son), Luke trains more Jedi as adults, while in Lucas' views and in Disney, he trains younger students. - The clones are not Mandalorian, in Lucas canon and Disney canon, they consider Kamino their home and they've never spoken any Mando'a. Honestly, I'm not sure any Mando'a has ever been spoken in any of Disney's stuff? (Also, Mando'a was heavily linked with Karen Traviss' writing and, given that she's a Trump supporter and anti-BLM irl, some people really don't want to touch her stuff.) - The Jedi meditation mantra of "there is no emotion, there is peace" is purely a supplementary canon thing, it started in an '80s roleplaying book for the OT, then made its way to PT Legends stuff, and is referenced in Disney's continuity, but it does not exist in Lucas' continuity at all. Also the "emotion yet peace" version is a prequels era thing, a lot of people will say it's an "older version" of the Jedi Code, but the only time we see it is during the Clone Wars (from the Kanan comics' flashbacks). - Grey Jedi do not exist in Lucas Canon or Disney canon. I’m not sure if they’re around in some form in Legends (a lot of wild stuff happened in Legends), but they seem to be actively impossible to have in these canons, given the story group’s commentary about how you cannot use the dark side without consequences. You can’t be a Jedi and use the dark side, pretty much. Oh, no, I'm kind of stuttering to a stop on trying to think of more major differences between the continuities, because honestly I'm better at answering direct questions than trying to come up with something. (And even then, if I can't write a 25k essay, I feel bad, like, "Is this enough?? Or am I FAILING here??" because sometimes Star Wars just Does Not Give Us Answers. orz)

Omg I couldn’t find the suggestion anymore because I was stupid and I think I deleted it I’m so sorry but I loved it!
“That’s all I ask”
Summary: Being the new medic for the 501st was very intimidating to say the least- but hopefully some friends will help you along the way
Warning: Rex x GN Reader (reader is said to be younger so it’s platonic!)
Word count: 1333 ( NOT PROOFREAD YET sorry this one wasn’t my best)
Notes: I just put together the Lego Rex helmet and I’m in love! Also PLEASE send me request I’m on spring break and need something to do!
The strap of your bag prickled you skin as you ran it up and down, up and down.
The loud bustling city of Coruscant was drowned out by the constant noise of your heartbeat ringing in your ears.
Taking a deep breath as you started walking again while the hanger came into view
To say you were nervous was an understatement. You need money being fresh out of school and the GAR gave you enough to start off your life.
As you entered the huge room, the large ships loomed over you. Sure you loved Coruscant but there was a whole galaxy to see, maybe that’s another reason you jumped on this job.
“Well you must be our felid medic for the time being.” A tall man came smiling over closely followed by a young torgruta and a clone trooper dressed head to toe in armor.
“I’m Anakin.” He stuck his hand out to you which you gladly shook. “This is Ahsoka my padawan, and this is Captain Rex.” Anakin nodded to either side.
All you got from the captain was a small nod but the padawan, Ahsoka you reminded yourself seemed more then thrilled to meet you.
With the ok from her master she led you inside one of the larger ships in the hanger.
“It’s so cool that you’ll be working with us.” She started to ramble on. “New faces always do some good around here. I’m sure the boys will love you.”
You gave a small laugh, her confidence in you help you calm down just a little.
“Ooo look there’s Echo now! He’ll love to meet you!” She dragged you over by the hand. The bag you still haven’t put down nearly fell to the floor in the hassle.
“Sir” Echo nodded to Ahsoka as she smiled back at him. “I’m not sure if I met your friend here Ahsoka, I didn’t know someone else was join us on this mission.”
“Oh no this is our new medic remember they were coming in today.” He stared at you for a moment before it really clicked in his head.
Worried for a moment while he didn’t say anything you added. “I assure you I’m very qualified.” You held your hands out to him.
Echo laughed for a second, the sound put you at a little ease. “Oh I’m just worried when you meet the others and the problems they might get into.”
Before that a loud bang was heard down the corridor. The three of you faced that why with Ahsoka’s and Echo’s hand just hovering over there weapons.
A split second later a man in only half of his armor and something in his hands came bounding down the hallway. His laugh bounced through the halls, as did another very angry voice.
You watched Ahsoka ease up a bit and Echo slam his hand to his face. As the running man came closer Echo called. “Fives what did you do this time to piss off Jesse?”
This Fives person skidded to a stop, with his free hand he held onto echos shoulders and shielded himself from who you could guess was Jesse stomping down the halls.
“And using your own brother as a barricade, not cool.” Ahsoka joked now.
You watched as Fives realized you were there and stood up straighter giving you a small nod. “Sir” he said before he was interrupted by Jesse.
“WHY CAN YOU NEVER KEEP YOUR GUBBY LITTLE HANDS TO YOUR OWN THINGS- I MEAN IF I HAD A CREDIT FOR EVERY TIME…” He trailed now looking at all the members of group that was watching him. “You must be our newest recruit.” He turned to you. “I’m sorry for that sir.”
You took a moment to figure out just what had happened her before you let off a small chuckle. “That’s quite alright, at least I know this won’t be a full group.”
With proper introductions and a lot less yelling Ahsoka now continued through the ship and finally showing you where you could stay.
Rex wasn’t sure on two things:
1. If that was the right person for their open medic position.
2. If you could last more than a few minutes on the battlefield without getting your head blown off.
With all the reckless people he had to watch over already adding one more who seemed fresh out of the tube was already giving him gray hairs.
He stood in the bridge, datapad in hand. He thought about writing a report, thought about talking to Anakin, thought about doing a million things to get you as far away from this war as he could. It was bad enough Ahsoka or even Anakin for this matter were knee deep in it.
In the makeshift ship mess hall you sat with Ahsoka now glued to your side and a few of his brothers with their backs to him.
It pained him just a bit- but he couldn’t simmer on that. What mattered is for now you seemed to fit in really well with the others.
Rex sat to the other side of Ahsoka at the end of the table after getting noticed by the group. The other were tables unoccupied at the moment.
Rex slid into the background of the conversation, weather it was a blessing or a curse Rex was quite an observer.
He noticed a few things. Ahsoka sat close, looking up a few times at your face then at other bumping arms with you. Rex didn’t know how the force worked but he did know how first day jitters worked and clearly so did the torgruta.
He saw the way the others sat, not a care in the world and if he could reassure you that you definitely made the first impression you needed too he would. Sure some would be a little more stoic and closed off like Rex but this was good.
Then he noticed the small way half of your body shook from a light tap of your leg on the ground- or the way your fingers traced small patterns on the table or picked at the table palm of your hand
Rex couldn’t blame you, what were you just out of school? Shipped off into his spiraling war already. He could remember his own deployment and countless others after that.
Simultaneously comm links from all around the table buzzed signaling to departure out of hyperspace.
The shaky breath you let out was lost to the sound of armor and boot hitting different surfaces.
Standing at the door now the newly introduced Medic that you learned was Kix stood next to you. You hands shook slightly as you waited to exit onto the planets surface.
With almost unnoticed steps the Captain stood next to you now. You turned to him for a moment, giving a small smile that you hope was not a window into your sole.
Clearly you did a bad job at hiding that.
“Don’t worry kid.” Rex said almost softly? His voice was less gruff as you heard when he was giving orders. You just nodded looking back to the door. “If my men, my brothers, even my own life are in your hands then we have nothing to worry about.”
You held your breath for a moment before returning your gaze to him. A stern look was on his face- trying to portray the message that he was genuine.
Another breath escaped your lips. “Thank you Rex. For you and the safety of the others I will do everything that I can.”
“That’s all I can ask.” Was all he said before returning to the side of Anakin who stood waiting near by.
Little did Rex know that in that moment those words were what were going to carry you to save countless of his brothers lives in that battle, but in many others to come.
He was proud. And to serve next to people like Him and the 501st made everything seem better.

after death
A/N: Hey guys! Hope your all fantastic! @techs-goggles9902 and @transmascanakin I figure you both want to be tagged so here! In a sad but happy kind of mood. Please send requests people, if you like my stuff, please!!! Enjoy!!!
Anakin sucked in one last breath, his eyes staring at his son. He smiled at the swimming blue eyes staring back at him. He remembered eyes like that once, staring back at him through the mirror. Luke had his eyes.
Brown eyes had always been Anakin’s favourite, the colour of Padme’s eyes. Her chocolate coloured ones swimming with warmth, with passion. He’d felt blessed every time they landed on him, the angelic appearance of the girl more ethereal than the angel he’d met on Iago.
He vaguely remembered asking her if she was an angel the first time he’d met her, and he’d always cringed remembering it. Now, he would give anything to go back then. I’ll see her soon, he smiled internally.
Blue eyes were Anakin’s second favourite. He saw them when he looked at Obi-Wan, and at Ahsoka. They were the eyes he stared into as he killed both of them.
He remembered the moment of peace before Obi-Wan had died, the way his eyes had conveyed comfort. Comfort for Anakin, something he was sure he didn’t deserve. He remembered the raw pain in Ahsoka’s before she’d tumbled away, into the darkness. The Temple had collapsed moments later, and Anakin had felt his heart shatter with it.
He’d killed his sister, and his brother.
He’d killed Padme.
I’ll see them again soon.
“You were right,” Anakin breathed out. Only a moment had passed, but the realisations within the moment made it feel longer. He stared into the blue until his vision danced with black dots and he forced his eyes to close.
The last thing he heard was the alarm of the Death Star blaring, and the sound of Luke letting out a single, quiet sob.
And then nothing.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Waking up after dying was something Anakin never wanted to experience again, and luckily, he wouldn’t have to. It felt as if someone had sucked his soul out of his body with a vacuum cleaner, which was exactly what had happened, aside from the vacuum cleaner part.
He gasped as he looked down at his body, and saw his entire body was emitting an eerie blue glow. He smiled as he saw the old Jedi robes he’d always worn. Out of instinct, he reached up to touch his head, grinning when his hand landed on wisps of fluffy hair. He grabbed one strand and pulled it down to see. His skin felt so smooth and soft.
And then, he looked at his dead body.
The one encased in black metal, more machine than man. Anakin grimaced, disgusted, and looked away. As he did, he caught a glimpse of Luke leaving. He smiled.
“Took you long enough,” a familiar voice called, and Anakin spun around. His face split into a grin when he spotted his brother, white hair and beard making him almost unrecognisable. But staring back at him were the comforting blue eyes he knew so well.
“Obi-Wan,” he breathed out helplessly, before rushing forward. He threw his arms around his brother, a tear falling from his eye and rolling down his cheek. Obi-Wan flinched, and didn’t hug back for a moment. “Oh, Obi-Wan, I’m so sorry.”
Obi-Wan wrapped his arms around, cooing soothingly in Anakin’s ear like he had done when Anakin was a frightened Padawan. The brunette sniffled, rocking their hug back and forth.
“I’m so sorry.”
“I know.”
They stood like that for a minute, embraced in a long-awaited hug. They were both crying by the time they separated; tears of relief and tears of happiness.
“Where’s Padme?” The younger - at least he was still younger - croaked out, glancing around for his wife.
“You’ll see her soon enough, she’s with your daughter right now,” Obi-Wan murmured fondly, reaching up and patting Anakin’s hair reminiscently. “We made a deal yesterday, I’d follow Luke and she’d follow Leia. We wanted to make sure they weren’t alone.”
Anakin nodded thankfully, before his smile faded. “What about Snips?” Oh, Maker, Obi-Wan had mentioned her. What if she hated him? Anakin was lucky Obi-Wan seemed to have forgiven him, but his heart seemed to think Ahsoka wouldn’t have.
Obi-Wan’s smile faded too, and Anakin wanted to cry out. Yes, Ahsoka hated him. That was clear. Oh, he’d ruined her life. He’d ruined Padme’s too, and Obi-Wan’s, and so many other people’s lives. Oh, he was a villain, he’d done horrible things.
“Anakin,” Obi-Wan whispered, and Anakin felt another tear fall from his eye. He waited for the confirmation that Ahsoka hated him and wanted nothing to do with him. “Ahsoka isn’t dead.”
Anakin’s heart plummeted, straight into his stomach. His blood seemed to freeze as he flinched back. His brows raised, and he shook his head a few times, spluttering. “Wha-what?”
Obi-Wan looked at him with such sorrow, Anakin thought he might topple over with guilt. “You didn’t kill her, she’s okay.”
Anakin did cry out then, tears of pure euphoria rolling down his cheeks, leaving trials of ecstasy. He threw his arms around Obi-Wan again, crying into his shoulder for a moment before pulling away. “How, how?!”
Obi-Wan laughed, and Anakin felt his heart start to slowly rise up from his stomach, Obi-Wan placed a hand on his back, and began guiding him in the direction Luke had fled. Anakin now realised that they were standing in space, flames and fragments of the Death Star all around him.
How that had happened without him noticing, he had no idea.
“She’s strong, Anakin,” Obi-Wan murmured fondly. “Possibly stronger than you.”
Anakin scoffed, shaking his head. “I don’t believe that.”
Obi-Wan smiled, a smile he only used when he was with Anakin and Ahsoka, a smile that was quick and small, and a smile that conveyed the same energy as a small laugh. “Ezra saved her, he pulled her into the World Between Worlds.”
“Ezra?” Anakin asked, turning to his former Master with a brow raised. “World Between Worlds?”
Obi-Wan laughed, draping his arm over his brother’s shoulders. “Don’t worry, I’ll tell you everything.”
