BetelSnatch expressions? BetelSnatch expressions!!! If any of you are wondering what my idea here was, there’s a huge shared HC in the Beetlejuice fandom that Betelgeuse’s hair reacts based on his mood! So I figured, why shouldn’t BetelSnatch do the same thing? Here’s the end result, which I’m extremely proud of!! :3

Really diggin this Beetlejuice!au idea. Hopefully it still feels fun in a few days too. For now though I’m diggin the idea of Snatcher in the main role. So many possibilities. Might play around with the other characters too. HK as Lydia is gonna be my next attempt.

Oooh boy lookie here! A Hat In Time Beetlejuice AU! I had a lot of fun coming up with the idea and some designs, though the non-human characters' human designs were heavily inspired by @teenytinyhatkid designs. I highly recommend you go look at their stuff, they made things such as AHIT Burrower AU, Mer AU, Monster AU Etc... and their art is really good!

But back to the BeetleJuice AU. The AU is about Hat Kid (Harriet) and Mustache Girl (Mary), moving into a new home with their mother (Cooking Cat/Charlotte) after their father (Snatcher/Samuel) was murdered by Vanessa. The house they move into is haunted by a family of 3 ghost called the Maitlands (Bow Kid/Bridgette, The Conductor/Corey, and DJ Grooves/Garry), and two demons, one being their late Uncle (Moonjumper/Manny) and their father, both being on the run from the Empress. Oh yeah and our favorite Walrus Captain is Miss. Argen-tina who died via drowning. Oh yeah and the Mafia boss is Maxine but he's not important.

Bow Kid isn't anybody in particular, but she's Grooves and Conductor's daughter.

Say hello to BetelSnatch, who’s part of the Beetlejuice AU! I’m a huge sucker for the movie, as it is a classic, and the musical soundtrack certainly wasn’t helping my case. So here’s a nice lil’ design of “the ghost with the most” for you guys! I’m planning to (hopefully) expand on the ideas of this AU more in the future.

Ok, I'm actually curious so how are you gonna change Hat Kid's (aka Lydia's) role in your Beetlejuice AU? What's her reason for summoning Snatchjuice?

(For future reference, I call Snatcher “BetelSnatch” in this AU! Not Snatcherjuice, since that sounds a bit…weird. But no worries, just thought I’d clarify!)

Well, for one, Hat Kid is still her normal self! Or, she’s herself but a bit gloomier? (Since moving would probably make her a bit home sick) I might just go with both? But as for the role thing, what I mean is she won’t be a teenager. If you’ve seen the movie, you’ll know how Lydia acts and…well, I don’t think that would mix too well with Hat Kid. Since she’s a child and all, I prefer she stays the way she is in canon game!

Her main reason for summoning BetelSnatch though, later on in the story, is that she wants to be friends with him! That, and she asks BetelSnatch to “help her become a ghost” so she can be better friends Conductor and Grooves! Eventually though, the story plays out just like the movie and Hat Kid needs help saving her friends. But in return…BetelSnatch requires something from her.

BetelSnatch whips up a contract that Hat Kid has to sign in order for him to get out of the Nether World for good. And that contract states that they will literally be “Best Friends Forever” once she signs it, leaving Hat Kid in BetelSnatch’s place.

AU Ask Requests!

Okay so, turns out I have more HCs request than I thought... So since those are going to take awhile (and I certainly don’t want to spam you guys too much with HCs posts), I figured I can ask this now! And if you’re wondering what this is, I’m asking for specific asks!

I’ve got a few original AUs that I haven’t touched on in awhile. Right now, the two that I can think of are my Steam Punk Hat AU and my Beetlejuice AU! And since I want to expand on these two AUs a little more (or any other AUs that I may have), why don’t you guys send me some asks about them? You can ask question about the world, characters, or we can even do a bit of roleplaying with the characters if you’d like! (Just please no spamming asks-)

I know nothing about Beetlejuice, can you summarize it?

It’s quite a good movie! If you can get your hands on it, I highly recommend you watch it! (Although just a heads up, some of the jokes aren’t exactly “kid friendly”) But I’ll be happy to summarize it for you!

The story is about a lovely couple (Adam and Barbara) who both die and find out what it’s like being ghosts. And unfortunately for them it isn’t all that fun, with them being stuck inside their own house, unable to leave. And if that wasn’t enough, a broken family (The Deetzes) decide to move into their home after they’re deceased and remodel the whole thing!

The ghost couple tries to scare the family away to win their house back, but nothing seems to work. So, desperate to look for a solution, they call the “bio-exorcist” known as “Beetlejuice”. And Beetlejuice can only be summoned by saying his name three times. But let’s just say that once they summon him...oh boy, does it get wild!

That about sums it up! I don’t want to spoil it too much of course, in case anybody still wants to watch it ;3

But chances are, you might just have the unfortunate job of having to check on BetelSnatch when Moon doesn’t want to.
