Okay quick update. So my new EP Exoskeleton will be released by @aharecords and @udontdeservethisbeautifulart. The release party will be at Century in Philly on March 16th. Norwegian pop group a-ha has announced its first musical release since “Cast In Steel” from 2015. Containing twelve new songs, the band’s new album will come out in 2022.

“True North will be a-ha’s musical travel letter from the high north – a live concert made for films, with only new material. This is our melancholy tribute to the sea and northern Norwegian nature,” a-ha member Magne Furuholmen told VG.

The project is a collaboration between a-ha, Bodø 2024 European Capital of Culture, Svømmehallen Scene, Parkenfestivalen – and Arktisk Filharmoni, who collaborated with a-ha on all the songs.

The last time Norway’s largest pop group came out with new music was in 2015, when a-ha released the album Cast In Steel.

A commitment to environmental issues forms the very foundation of the project.

“The sea has laid the entire foundation for Norway’s development – first through fisheries, then through oil. The troubled duality between the welfare that this has created, and the simultaneous destruction of natural resources that will be absolutely crucial for future generations, is a reasonably potent theme for artistic processing and reflection,” said Furuholmen.

So after years of releasing music and booking shows me and @marko_level are finally putting our catalog together. @aharecords stands for artists helping artists. It doesn't stand for "us doing all the work and you're just chilling" records. We're not signing anybody. We're not giving hand outs. There's only 3 people doing most of the production which is me, Level and @scott_lanc_lanc and we barely have time to work on our releases.
