[ water ]
“Kid, are you okay? Like genuinely so?” Lambert had met this boy exactly…maybe four? Five times? In nearly all of those he seemed to have this haunted look behind his eyes which always left the professor wondering what could’ve caused it. Seeing him from afar he seemed fine, a friendly prince with an easy smile. But as soon as he got a closer look…
…well, now the kid looked like he had just seen a ghost in full resolution, and Lambert worried that he might pass out on the spot. Something about that look in his eyes made his heart break a little bit, though he wasn’t sure why.
Maybe he had an idea why.
But it sounded ridiculous to his own mind.
“Drink some water and rest for a moment, will you? You look horribly pale, boy.” The party had just started too, did he manage to get plastered in record time somehow without Lambert noticing?! "I shall stay here until you look like you are not going to drop dead. Just rest."
Dimitri had come to recognize the voice when it spoke, not through any will of his own or any attempt at recognition, but because there was a section in his mind which had already seemed reserved for the sound, the rumbling timbre scratching a particular itch that he hadn't even been aware of until he heard it and felt the breath come out of him.
When he turned to greet the professor of Abyss, it was with a smile on his face, but the smile stuttered and flickered from his face for a moment -
"Mitya, drink some water, rest for a moment - you look - "
"Horribly pale, boy."
"A-ah?" He cleared his throat, fingers closing around the glass of water on instinct. "Do I? Perhaps I have been sleeping poorly..." He did not think that it had been much more poorly than any other night, but if this stranger came to him with such concern, he would not brush it aside so carelessly.
He forced the smile back onto his face, turning subconsciously to the warm glow of lights from the ballroom and taking a gentle drink of the proffered water. "I'm quite well, though, I assure you! It is a lovely night, and I would be loath to miss it!"
It was a lot of pomp and display, if he were being truthful, but there's no reason for him to extend this burden for this professor to shoulder - what need have he to bear it in the first place? It was for Faerghus, in the end, and so it was Dimitri's alone.
"You are too kind. Please, if you've other guests to attend to, I'm not so frail that I'm defeated by such an event as this."

fic stats meme
tagged by @seamayweed. TY bb!!!! :D
rules: give us the links to your fic with the most hits, second most kudos, third most comments, fourth most bookmarks, fifth most words, and fic with the least words.
most hits: Sleeping Beauty (thorki, smut, 6.2k words). One of my relatively early thorki fics from back in the kinkmeme days, full of somnophilia and various other kinks and delicious bottom!Thor with a side of Loki angst. (I bet I know why this one has a disproportionate number of hits to kudos. seems like it has a lot of. ah. reread value *waggles eyebrows*)
second-most kudos: Thunder and Other Things (thorki, 22.7k words). My take on the standard thorki arranged marriage with Jotun Loki trope... but because it's me writing it, he quickly gets Thor pregnant.
third-most comments: LMD (thorki+ (it's complicated), IW/EG AU-ish, 67k words). I guess it makes sense for one of my longer and serially posted fics to have lots of comments, even though it was written after the fandom had gotten so much quieter in recent years.
fourth-most bookmarks: Fimbulwinter (thorki, Wintersmith AU, 28.7k words). I still have a huge soft spot for this one. I love the way the story just seemed to be waiting to be uncovered, the way the roles just slipped over them, perfectly fitted. I love it when I get to play around with mythic references and resonances.
fifth-most words: What You Are in the Dark (thorki, horror, 37k words). One of my spookyfics, but one that started out from a single scene/concept of Thor getting consentacled by tentacle-monster Loki who was horrified by what his transformed body was doing, and it grew to a pretty sizeable story to explain that scene. Figuring out how to make that work was fun XD
least words: Two Thefts (Brothers Karamazov, Mitya/Alyosha, 100 words). It's a true drabble, what can I say? I come from old fandom where the art of drabbling was an important skill. Of course it's exactly 100 words long.
(Alternatively, if we stick with Thor fandom fics, it would be Jotun Thor Is Thor's Fursona, which is 377 words. I still recall hastily writing and posting it in response to a mutual's shitpost while getting ready to run out the door to head down to Comic-con and then not realizing how it had landed until I was able to actually sit down and scroll tumblr hours later XD good times, good times.)
Tagging anybody who wants to do it! Seriously, just say I tagged you. It's all good.

[ Say 'Fromage'! ] - The alumna is already in town with her Photo-Artifex replica and, thanks to many of you, she's done with her testing much earlier than anticipated! She promises a one-of-a-kind keepsake in the form of 'photos' ranging from serious to silly, a variety of props to choose from included. If you're feeling particularly daring, maybe you'll even try out the artifex-box?
Breathe.
In. Out.
It had been something of a strange night - the overwhelming ambiance of the party aside, the fluster of duty and expectation alongside the desire - in spite of himself - to enjoy, to mingle as one was meant to do at these things, to forge strong the bonds that had already began to be created throughout the rest of the school year.
And then...
In. Out.
Dimitri still hadn't quite come to terms with the professor from Abyss - didn't think that he could, 100%, not entirely, not right now.
But neither could he deny the warm blanket of sensation at the man's presence, the way their eyes glimmered in mirror to one another, Mitya, the name he had only heard from select lips.
And the Crest of Blaiddyd. He could not deny that, either, no matter how his brain sought explanation, skimmed through his mental catalogue of relatives, of all their known dalliances, of every -
No. Breathe. In. Out.
It couldn't be another. And he wasn't sure if he would like it to be.
But what he did know, now in this moment, was that while looking upon this man was a scorching, seething pain in his bones unlike any other he had felt since Duscur... it was also the drag of cool water, the vibrant flutter of wings in his chest that came with... hope.
He cleared his throat, stood just a bit straighter as his footsteps stilled. "Excuse me - ah, er..." Couldn't decide the level of propriety. Who could? How many encounter their dead father at a school ball?
The veneer of courtesy faltered just a bit, etched in nervous lines and an abashed fidget of his fingers. "I... I was wondering, if you're amenable I'd... I don't have many portraits of...in..."
He trailed off, clearing his throat again, before shaking his head, trying again; "Would you...sit in the artifex-box with me? Please?"
Father?
This had been by far the longest night he had ever gone through so far. Longest, and most difficult.
From the very start things began to take on odd turns, and he was bombarded with information in such a small timeframe that it left him nearly dizzy. Students accosting him and asking him bizarre questions, others reacting in strange and extreme ways, his crest choosing the worst moment possible to awake from its slumber, the very fact that he had a crest. Realization upon realization, yet nothing truly concise. Nothing that he could deem as a torch lightning his path- but rather pieces of a torn map showing up here and there, as if someone walked down the trail slowly ripping it apart.
And then, Dimitri.
His entire existence still felt like a huge question mark in Lambert’s mind- so much could be just a mistake, a misunderstanding on his part out of his own desperation, and yet that boy happened to be the one thing that, in his mind, was no longer covered by a veil. His heart was sure of what it felt for that child, and his mind did agree as the boy’s features matched perfectly many of his still hazy memories. That boy was his child, his soul knew it. His blood knew it.
But his brain refused to believe it, not yet. It still stubbornly clung to the idea of needing more confirmation, more certainty, a definitive and solid answer that couldn’t be taken back. Logic and heart never walked the same path, but right now it felt as if they found themselves on nearly opposite lanes, and it hurt.
Dimitri’s reaction also hurt. That fear, that apprehension, that sadness in his eyes- it was clear that his presence meant something to the boy, but what could it be?
Was he a bad father, after all? Did he cause this child pain now he felt distressed by his return?
It was one of the things that scared him the most, the idea that this ‘real self’ he was slowly working towards uncovering was in reality an awful person. That turns out he wasn’t a good parent, or a good friend, or a rightful knight. Perhaps he was just pretending to be a sacrificial lamb, concealing claws under wool, tricked into being a good person out of sheer ignorance and lack of memories. It was a horrifying idea.
But amidst the raging storm inching closer and closer, wind picking up speed and static in the air making his hairs stand, he was clipped to a rope by another. That way they’d walk the same path, and if one fell the other could retrieve them safely. The boy stood before him- Dimitri searched for him, and sought his presence.
His words seemed lost in the wind, all sentences left unfinished or badly trimmed, feet stumbling on loose rocks and they slowly trudged forward, yet Lambert couldn’t identify the source of that hesitation. It didn’t seem to be the distress of a child trying to avoid a bad parent, or a student intimidated by a harsh teacher.
"Would you...sit in the artifex-box with me? Please?"
Such an innocent request.
He tugged on the rope, marching on to take the lead and spare his companion from unraveling the trail in shaky feet.
“...of course. I am happy that you wish to take a photograph with me.” Happy was an understatement, his heart soared. The trail was still rocky, still troublesome, but a stumble or two couldn’t rival the feeling of acceptance he felt. That he wasn’t dragging the boy through loose stone- but instead simply trying to match each other’s pace, carefully, hesitatingly, but surely.
“Let us go. Ah-” His hand sat still in the air for a moment, before he allowed himself to gently adjust some wild hairs atop Dimitri’s head. “...there, better. You looked like a ruffled cub for a moment.” Lambert smiled fondly before entering the booth.

"Ah, fuck" He mumbled under his breath, struggling to balance the present and flowers he brought with him. It was just a simple art book, about some art movement in history he didnt know much about but it looked pretty and smart enough that Mitya would enjoy it. Upon spotting the pretty male he shoved the present and bouquet at him, an embarrassed flush on his face as he held it out. "Happy birthday"
Tumblr media
Mitya had mentioned his birthday but he also didn't assume that Binnie would remember it or really care about that information. He would let Binnie know that he would come back for some birthday fries. Sitting in his little booth he was surprised when, instead of fries, there were suddenly gifts on his table. Both his brows raised and he blinked back at Binnie. "You absolutely didn't need to buy me anything, or gift me anything." His gaze wandered over the shorter man, dressed in normal clothes. "You're not working today? Or did you just get here? Because if you were here to not work.." He gestured for the spot across from him. "I could share my birthday fries with you?"

“Why worship the goddess when I have someone more worthy of my devotion?”
Dimitri whispers the blasphemous question into Claude’s ear, disrupting their heated make-out session taking place within a dimly lit corner of the Garreg Mach library.
Trembling with anticipation, the question has Claude almost forgetting how to breathe. Desperate to keep his composure, Claude displays his signature, damnable smirk
“Ah, that is very unholy of you to say, your princeliness.”
Dimitri nips his earlobe, Claude gasps out.
“Would the so called ‘Holy Kingdom of Faerghus’ accept such a sacrilegious King?”
Dimitri lets out a huff and proceeds to kiss a trail down Claude’s neck,
“Anyone would be a fool not to see you for the divine being that you are. Unfortunately for them, I’m quite possessive. I alone will worship you.”
Dragging his teeth down sun-kissed golden skin,
“Mine,” Dimitri growls out.
Claude releases a sinful moan as Dimitri bites down.
“Yours, I will always be yours, Mitya.”

[ 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝 ] : sender takes a hold of receiver's both hands.
The sparring session was called to a halt by the older man as he slowly approached Dimitri. “Show me those hands of yours. Both.” The boy wore gloves and gauntlets much like himself, but he could see blood seeping into the black fabric. With a sigh, Lambert put his lance away to fetch a first aid kid. “Sit down, we will take a look at that together. I refuse to allow any student to fight while injured.”
“You will genuinely hurt yourself if you continue to do it like that, kid. Look at your hands…”
A tug here, another there, and he removed the house leader’s glove to better inspect the injury, frowning slightly at the sight of bloodied blisters. Gloved hands held into slightly smaller ones, carefully as if any wrong move would be enough to cause them to shatter. Lambert was no faith mage, so he couldn’t offer the near instantaneous comfort of a healing spell. It would have to be the old way.
Lambert took his own gloves off, so he could have at least better sensitivity in handling the bandages.
Somehow, it was as if he had done this before, with that very same hand- though the blurry image in his mind envisioned a much smaller one. Instead of blisters, was a scrape from a fall.
“You should be more careful, Mitya. You are a strong boy, but it pains your father to see you hurt. Promise me to take care next time.” “You should be more careful, kid. You are a strong one, but no teacher enjoys seeing their students hurt. Promise me to take care next time.”
The bandages were wrapped just right. Not too tight, not too loose. Enough to do their job, but they wouldn’t restrict Dimitri’s movements or his hold on the lance. Lambert held the prince’s hands into his own for a moment, mouth open as he was going to continue his advice, until his mind bugged for a short second. He blinked, then shook his head. “Ahaha, sorry about that. You almost remind me of someone.” In reality, he felt uncomfortable for some reason. As if his mind were yelling at him for whatever reason but he couldn’t comprehend.
“So, prince. Rest those hands for today, am I clear? Do not go around trying to destroy it all.” Lambert then got up, slipping his gloves back on.
With his back turned to Dimitri, he hummed.
“Also, go to sleep earlier today. Chamomile tea does wonders for that.”
He had never seen this kid before, but he somehow knew he didn’t sleep well. Odd coincidence.
"Oh, I..."
Hadn't even noticed.
There was the bashful hesitation that always came after - after his displays of strength, unprompted and unwelcome, or after his body failed to behave in the ways that a body should, to temper that strength, to show him his limits. Dimitri was not unused to the attention, but it always settled too heavy on his chest, the one thing that his strength could not help him lift.
His hands had been smaller last time.
He jerked at the thought as the professor's fingers began to tug at his gauntlets, though blessed be the Goddess above he seemed to take it as a matter of delicacy, as though in the bowl of their hands combined they held the world. He had never seen this man before today, there would have been no last time, but still his hands fitted into the cradle easily, comfortably, relaxing as though the motion were practiced and expected.
"A-ah, I suppose...that I had not expected them to be so bad..." Not the splinters, nor the blisters nor the callouses borne of them, nor the strange crook of his fingers, the tremor in them that the fought to control at the best of times and ignored at the worst, nor the terrible thoughts in his mind that if he ever were to take the precious hands of someone else he loved that they would shatter-
It felt strange, to be handled in this same way, he realized, to be held in such a way that he were so fragile he might fracture into shards at the slightest breath wrong, or for someone to understand exactly what it meant to have strength beyond their body.
That hadn't happened since-
The scratch of gauze against tender flesh jerked him back into the present moment and Dimitri suddenly felt vulnerable, small and weak in a way that he had not for some time, and he lifted his gaze to meet the man's eyes, familiar in their way, like looking into a mirror at night, through heavy steam, and he attempted a smile.
"Yes, you are right. Of course. I...have a tendency to push myself too hard. Perhaps I will spend the rest of the evening in the library." He wasn't ignoring the chastisement, the direction to go to bed earlier, but it felt more pointed than if another had said it, if someone like Dedue or Ingrid held his ear.
A short, chuffed laugh. "I...yes. I favor chamomile, myself. I shall prepare some, then. Ah...thank you. Professor."
Who was it who had told him about chamomile's properties as a sleep aid? It felt like it had been so long ago now...

Rambling; doll talking and generic nonsense
The doll head I had ordered for my oc teo, sw/itch's sculpt sehan, is supposed to be delivered by December! My order hasn't updated yet so I went on the sw/itch tag on insta to see if anyone received theirs yet.. and seen someone was selling the huisa sculpt, one I've been searching to get for mitya !!! So now I have him on his way too !!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The sculpt I'm getting for teo on the left and mityas on the right! Their noses are near perfect I think ;^; with some contouring I hope to fit the faces even better ! I'm really looking forward to doing their faceups, and I'm going to save up to order some alpaca fiber to make their wigs!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I went to pull up their actual faces in similar angles ! yes I think they'll be perfect ;_; it almost looks as if I had referenced the doll in that mitya drawing which makes me so much more excited to see it in person!! ah they'll be without bodies proooobably for a long time... unless I sell somebody 🤔... but im excited also to sew a tiny corset binder for mitya.. I may have to make their eyes as well but I hate making those but also 😭 I want slightly slit/pointy pupils for teos in reference to his original snake design.
I'm clinging onto this project a little bit honestly, it's something I have to look forward to so I'll probably keep talking about it. Tbh im not actually doing well, and I've been inactive and really out of touch with everyone. I feel very sorry for it. But every day I'm doing my best with what I have. Please don't take my slow replies personally ! I don't mean to write this in a woe is me type way lol more like, a statement that I'm not doing well but I'm trying to take care of myself, so I just need time and I don't want anyone to feel like my quietness is a sign of anything but that. But anyways.
Slowly getting through drawings which is something. Animal crossing update came out. The temperature is low enough to wear a wool coat !

wake up sleepyhead | Bell/Belikov Hunter Killer-verse
It all started with another usual bantering argument between the Mi-24 gunship pilots and the hotshot MiG-25 fighter pilots. In true Soviet fashion, it devolved into a drinking contest between the two platoons.
Dimitri and yourself were the elected representatives for your Mi-24 gunship platoon in the drinking contest.
And, of course, the hotshot fighter pilot sitting next to you with the bottles of vodka and shot glasses ready took one look at you.
“You chose a woman to outdrink me, cowboys?” the fighter pilot laughed, leaning against the wooden bar counter. Your comrades simply shook their heads while smirking.
You smiled. That hotshot had no idea…
For more than several years, you’ve been unintentionally training for this. All those sleepless nights working on your dual major degree in mathematics and aerospace engineering resulted in increasing your alcohol tolerance.
You glanced at Dimitri next to you. He nodded with a confident smile.
“Good luck, Mitya,” you said, clapping him on the shoulder. Although, you knew he didn’t need it. You and your comrades could outdrink those hotshot fighter pilots any day of the week.
After all, you all rode in “drinking glasses.”
With cheers erupting around you, you turned to your opponent, who had filled the shot glasses up with the clear liquid of vodka.
“Cheers!”
And so the games began.
________________________________________________________________
“Chunga changa, the blue sky!” you sang merrily, giggling against Dimitri’s shoulder. It was you and Mitya’s song...of victory this time over those arrogant fighter pilots.
You blinked, seeing your vision swim every so often.
The barracks...the platoon barracks was that way, right?
“Chunga changa, summer all year round!” Dimitri joined you in singing this time with his arm slung around your shoulder. You stumbled once more, leaning against him with your hands grasping the fabric of his coat.
“Chunga changa, we have fun!” you sang along with him happily. The street lamps on the airfield base became a blur as you stumbled your way to the barracks with Dimitri.
“Chunga changa, we sing a song!” you exclaimed with a laugh. Ah, you loved this song so much. Your brother never understood why you loved the song like you did. But then again, Tasha was roped into singing the song along with your comrades before every mission…
Suddenly, the bright blurs in your vision disappeared. Looking up from Dimitri’s shoulder, you saw the familiar interior of the platoon barracks.
You sighed against his shoulder. The exhilaration of your victory and the song faded away into sudden drowsiness, “I’m tired, Mitya,” you murmured sleepily. You fought to keep your eyes from closing.
You needed a bed...to sleep.
You grasped Dimitri’s hand and pulled him with you as you stumbled towards the bed.
“Sleep, Mitya,” you said, tugging him closer, “Sleep.”
He laughed, “Alright, my friend. We’ll sleep!”
Just as Dimitri stepped ahead of you towards the bed, you suddenly found yourself falling. You braced yourself for the usual pain and soreness from cracking your head against the hard wooden floor only to blink at the lack of said pain.
You found yourself staring down at Dimitri. His own surprised gunmetal eyes met yours. The military hat laid askew on the bed. You leaned back only to realize something.
You were straddling him.
You blinked before murmuring, “Sorry, Mitya,” Your weight must have been uncomfortable for him. With a sigh, you rolled off of him and flopped onto the bed space next to him.
You sleepily stared up at the white ceiling.
I...I should move, you thought sleepily. But the bed was so comfortable, and it was always cold in your corner of the barracks.
And Mitya was warm, you noted.
Just as you were about to ask Dimitri, you noticed the slight calmness in his breathing.
He was sleeping.
You sighed.
Really you should get up and move-
But maybe for just several minutes, you decided, sleeping here was okay.
Really it would take only just a few minutes…
And with that, you closed your eyes-
-And promptly fell asleep.
_______________________________________________________________
“Wake up, соня!”
Your brother’s familiar voice shouted.
“Дерьмо,” Dimitri cursed under his breath, groaning. His arm shifted underneath your head at the sudden shout and opening of the blinds at the windows.
You blinked at the glaring sunlight boring into your eyes through the open blinds of the window. Sleepily, you pulled yourself up and noticed the sudden murmuring and whistles going around the room.
“What’s going on?” you asked, bringing a hand to your face and shielding your eyes from the harsh sunlight. It was morning already…?
And there he was.
Anton Charkov, your brother, stared at you in shock with his usual morning mug of tea in hand. In fact, he was in the process of drinking it-
“Tasha?” you asked confusedly. You glanced down at yourself, noticing the disarray your clothes were in. Your uniform jacket was uncomfortably at your elbows, while your telnyashka was rumpled and partially ridden up at your middle.
Gusev whistled, “Hit a home run, Dimitri?”
Anton Charkov proceeded to choke on his tea.
The next thing you heard was the thump of a knife sinking deep into the wooden post right next to Gusev’s head. You looked down to see Dimitri glaring at Gusev.
Mitya used the knife under his pillow, you thought drowsily.
“Отвали!” Dimitri scowled at Gusev. He pulled the blankets over you, covering your disheveled appearance. He got out of bed with a sigh, straightening the wrinkled appearance of his olive-green uniform jacket.
“Careful, Dimitri! Charkov here might break out the shotgun for his little sister.” Pavel said with a grin. He always did love some drama. Although, you didn’t quite get what the fuss was about.
This wasn’t the first time you slept with Mitya.
After all, you had fallen asleep with him in the supply closet while listening to late-night broadcasts of baseball games with the short-wave radio there.
“Nothing happened, idiots.” Dimitri sighed.
“It’s okay. You’re practically already married to Bell,” Pavel gestured to you with a smug look in his eyes, “I’m sure Charkov wouldn’t mind you being his brother in law.”
“I have another knife, Comrade Pavel.”
The said man nervously laughed, “Now, now, Dimitri-you know I’m just teasing here. Does that mean Bell here is available…?”
Dimitri smiled, although you couldn’t quite see the look in his eyes. Then again, Mitya was always so friendly. He simply said with a low chuckle, “You are not helping your case here, my friend.”
Pavel paled.

Author’s Note: This is a snippet from the military years of Bell and Belikov in the same helicopter assault platoon they worked as MI-24 gunship pilots in the Hunter Killer AU I’m working on. The Hunter Killer AU fic focuses on the KGB years of Bell and Belikov but experiences they shared prior to that will be referenced in the fic. I find it interesting to think about their years in the platoon together so I might write some more snippets about their time together there.
Anyways, I wrote this as a fun little idea I came up with haha. It is based on the “wake up sleepyhead” meme lol. Also, just in case there were any misunderstandings, Bell and Belikov literally only slept together in the same bed haha. And to clarify, Bell is Anton Charkov’s little sister in this AU haha. This was fun to write. Well, thanks for reading!

To @samatedeansbroccoli, this is their idea, i just wrote a oneshot based off their bigger, and better fic. Go check out what they write!
Adler and Bell celebrate Christmas:
“Dyadya! Dyadya!” Bell exclaimed, tugging on Adler’s jacket sleeve.
“What?” He turned from his conversation with Lazar.
“It’s Christmas Eve!”
Adler froze. He’d been so wrapped up in the Perseus deal that Christmas was the last thing on his mind.
“Yeah, you're right.” He turned to the group, “Hey uh, what gift would I get a 7 year old?”
“A gun,” Sims said proudly.
“Anyone else?”
“Get her a knife, self defense is important.” Woods provided.
Adler just glared at him and sighed. “She’s 7. Parks?”
“A colouring book.”
“Good idea,” Looking back down at Bell he told her, “You’re going to stay with Belikov while I go into town for some business.”
“Mitya!” Bell said excitedly and ran to where Belikov was standing, talking to Mason.
He looked at her and smiled.
“Luda!” He looked up at Adler walking over to him and asked, “Need me to look after her for a bit my friend?”
“If you don’t mind…”
“Of course not!” Belikov put a protective arm around Bell and went back to talking to Mason.
Adler walked out of the safehouse, racking his brain for where to get a gift for Bell.
Coming back into the safehouse from being in town Adler heard Belikov and Bell singing.
“Чудо-остров, чудо-остров, Жить на нём легко и просто!”
“Жить на нём легко и просто, Чунга-Чанга!” Bell responded to him.
Adler smiled at her, he didn’t know how Belikov always found a way to entertain Bell. Adler walked over and ruffled her hair.
“Dyadya! Mitya sang me a new song!”
“That’s good. Thank you Belikov.”
“Ah, it was nothing.” He answered. “Did you get her a gift for Christmas tomorrow?”
“I did. I’d hate to let her down.”
“Tomorrow’s Christmas!”
“Yeah, indeed it is…” Adler answered. “If you want Santa to come then you need to be off to bed.”
Bell gasped and ran off to bed.
Adler sat down and sighed.
“Anyway, where were we?”
When Adler woke up the next morning Bell was shaking him awake.
“Dyadya, Santa came!”
“What? Oh, right.”
Adler rubbed his eyes as Bell dragged him into the main area of the safehouse. He sat down and watched her open a poorly wrapped present with her name on it. She pulled out a coloring book and a set of markers with a grin on her face. Adler smiled as she talked his ear off about the pictures inside. The others came out of their room to start their day and saw Bell sitting on the floor coloring.
“I’m glad she liked it.” Park said, sitting down next to him with a cup of coffee.
“Me too. Thanks for the idea.”
“Of course.”
