AGL ~ 33 Get to know my character #13 & 39

So I’m not sure if you wanted me to do all my characters that I have listed on my page… so I did! So buckle up as this will be quite the lengthy response! Thank you for asking! I had a lot of fun with this!

13. What are your character’s sleeping habits? Heavy or light sleeper? Blanket stealer? One that always rolls onto the floor? Pushes their lover onto the floor? Sleep talker or walker?

The Royal Decree:

Enryn - So after living a life of comfort and ease technically due to his upbringing as a prince, he is a pretty heavy sleeper. When he has a bad nightmare that can make it easier for him to wake up, but he’s still a pretty heavy sleeper even then. He definitely loves to cuddle as he likes to be feel safe.

Kendall - She’s a pretty average sleeper. Not particularly light nor heavy. She definitely sleep talks though almost in an animated gibberish way. She definitely hogs all the covers and likes to be curled up in them wholly.

Meirion - He is a very light sleeper. Living a life as a warrior and now a mercenary he has made many enemies and has been trained to sleep lightly so that in case of emergency that he could be awake and alert quickly. Isn’t against cuddling, but doesn’t need it nevertheless. If he’s being haunted by nightmares or his memories he tends to thrash around quite a bit.

The Pupritz Saga:

Edvard - He is a very light sleeper. Like he only needs a few hours of sleep a night thanks to his type of species. He doesn’t take too many blankets which is good due to his love who is a cuddler and definitely steals the blankets.

Emilio - He loves his blankets. He is a cuddler. He likes to snuggle. He is a very light sleeper, due to the stress of his life and often not feeling safe. He mumbles in his sleep on occasion and he can sometimes gets too pushy and will accidentally roll Draegen once he’s with him onto the ground. He definitely snuggles and cuddles with Draegen once they’re together.

Zeon - Average sleeper when he sleeps. Often drinks a lot of elixir to rejuvenate his magic and to stay awake. He can be a sleep talker, though what he sleep talks about more often than not is his magical theorems he’s working on and other experiments.

Carlisle - Light sleeper? He doesn’t sleep often (I’m beginning to notice a pattern whoops), and when he does I say he’s about an average to light sleeper. There are moments when he sleep walks, but it doesn’t happen that often.

Nova - Heavy sleeper, definitely. Like she’s lived such a privileged life and everything that she’s definitely a deep sleeper and a blanket hogger. Doesn’t often like to cuddle, but when she’s in a cuddly mood she definitely gets desperate for it. Often pushes her lover to the floor.

Gray - He’s a cuddler like his father — Emilio — and he’s a superbly heavy sleeper. Like sometimes people think he’s dead he’s so asleep. He’s a blanket hogger but he often kicks the blankets off of himself in the process of it too. Definitely mumbles and talks in his sleep.

Janet - Average sleeper. When she feels safe she can fall a bit deeper into sleep. Doesn’t really do anything too interesting. She’s not particularly too cuddly, but she doesn’t mind it once she gains up trust.

Jakobi - He’s a cuddler since he’s definitely protective of his love. Especially since his love likes to get into trouble it makes him nervous. He’s a heavy sleeper when he sleeps. His love and him work in a pretty busy and chaotic environment so more often than not they don’t sleep often. Definitely likes his blankets. Prefers to have Samuel wrapped in the blankets though while he cuddles around him. That’s ideal.

Friend and mine’s Unnamed Book:

Xavier - Light sleeper. Doesn’t often sleep with blankets since he lives in the desert. If he leaves the desert he gets cold easily and then definitely hogs the covers. Often likes sleeping on the floor as he doesn’t normally have a bed. He prefers harder surfaces with just a small bit of padding.

39. When people look at your character, is there some assumption they might make about them just by appearance? Is that assumption correct?

So for this question I hope you don’t mind but I’m going to answer for a handful of my characters!

The Royal Decree:

Enryn - Due to him being a prince a lot of people just write him off as pretentious and distant. But I wouldn’t say that’s true. He tries really hard to understand his people and his best friend came from the servant class and is now part of his courts and is a spy for him.

Kendall - She has a lot of assumptions based on her appearance. When she’s part of Enryn’s court she dresses quite nicely and due to the rumors surrounding the amount of time they spend together people find her either stuck up or a whore. I wouldn’t say that’s wholly true at all. As she’s very down-to-earth when she’s not playing the part of a noblewoman and of course she has her reasons for being as close to Enryn as she is.

The Pupritz Saga:

Edvard - He’s a huge name in the book’s world, so everyone thinks he’s pompous and snooty. Distant and if you see him on tv he can be seen as very funny and charismatic. I would say it’s half true. He has lived long enough now with money that he can come off as very, very privileged; however, he did start off pretty badly off. Definitely rags to riches if you may. As for funny and charismatic, that’s definitely his brother’s forte, as he’s definitely much more cold and distant, but knows how to play the charismatic part when he has to.

Emilio - He comes off as very flamboyantly gay and personable. I’d say that’s a pretty accurate look at him. He’s very openly gay and deals with the push back from it with grace. He is definitely personable and he likes to even be more feminine at times.

Gray - So when he’s a child he’s very loud and open about what he wants. He changes at about puberty. As an adult he’s viewed as charismatic, more masculine, funny, and kind. A lot this is accurate. He definitely would like to be more feminine and have a more flamboyant side as he cares about how he looks to the point that it’s his werewolf compulsion, but it also embarrassing to him. He can give in to the peer pressure surrounding him for being a face in social media and having people know him and it can sometimes be hard for him to get out of his head, so there’s definitely a disconnect to what people see and who he is.

Quin - they spend most of their time in the lab, when not being called on to deal with situations. They like it there, it allows them to work on their projects and to speak with the others in the lab about projects. His apartment is in one of the buildings smaller rooms as he kept refusing to leave. 

Donjae - most his time is spent in his living room or in the Commons, depending on whether he’s working or not. He likes the comfortable set up of his living room, and he doesn’t have a set job within the Network, so he sticks to the commons so he can easily be found if something comes up.

NASA's Juno Spacecraft Completes Flyby over Jupiter’s Great Red Spot

#PHnews: 5 of 6 new Covid-19 cases in Cabanatuan City asymptomatic

CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija – Five people without any manifestation of illness were among the six new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in this city that raised the total number of infections to 201 as of Sunday.

Four of the asymptomatic patients came from AGL Heights Subdivision in Barangay Caalibangbangan here, as per report of the City Information and Tourism Office (CITO) on Monday. They are three men and a woman aged 30 to 33 years, all without work and travel history, the report showed.

The other asymptomatic patient is a 31-year-old female resident of Purok Pulo, also of Caalibangbangan village.

The only symptomatic patient in the latest batch of infected individuals here is a 44-year-old male driver from Barangay Imelda, who complained of loose bowel movement (LBM) and was tested positive on Saturday.

He also had no history of recent travel, the report said.

Of the 201 confirmed Covid-19 cases in this city, 33 are active, 162 have recovered and six died.

Meanwhile, the city government is continuously giving away 10 kilos of rice to every resident who undergoes rapid anti-body testing under its expanded targeted testing program in the 89 barangays.

Mayor Myca Elizabeth Vergara said additional food packs are given to people who test positive in the rapid testing even if they later turn negative in the swab test. (PNA)

राजस्‍थान में पंचायती राज व्‍यवस्‍था.

1.राजस्थान में पंचायती राज एवं शहरी स्वशासन :

भारत में पंचायती राज व्यवस्था का अस्तित्व प्राचीन काल से ही रहा है। ऐतिहासिक ग्रन्थों के अनुसार ईसा पूर्व से ही हमें पंचायतों के अस्तित्व का उल्लेख मिलता है। उस समय ग्राम पंचायत का प्रमुख ‘ग्रामणी’ से होता था अथर्ववेद में ‘ग्रामणी’ शब्द का उल्लेख मिलता है। यहॉ गठित महासभा विस: कहलाती थी बौद्धकाल में शासन की ईकाई ‘ग्राम’ थी जिसका मुखिया ‘ग्रामयोजक’ होता था जो ग्रामसभा द्वारा चुना जाता था ग्राम पंचायतों को ग्राम सभा कहा जाता था मौर्यशासन में भी पंचायतों को सुदृढ बनाने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमि का का निर्वहन किया गया मुगलकाल में प्रशासन की सबसे छोटी ईकाई गांव ही थी जिसका प्रबंध पंचायतों द्वारा किया जाता था तथा जिसका मुखिया मुकद्दम कहलाता था आधुनिक भारत में निर्वाचित एवं जनता के प्रति जवाबदेह स्वायत व्यवस्था का प्रथम बीजारोपण ब्रिटिश शासनकाल में सन् 1667 में मद्रास नगर परिषद में हुआ गवर्नर जनरल व वायसराय लॉर्ड रिपन ( (1880-1884)) ने सर्वप्रथम 1882 ई. में जिला बोर्ड, ग्राम पंचायत एवं न्याय पंचायत का प्रस्ताव कर देश में स्थानीय स्वशासन की ठोस बुनियाद रखी इस कारण रिपन को देश में ‘स्थानीय स्वशासन का पिता’ कहा जाता है। सन् 1919 में ‘माण्टेग्यू चेम्सफोर्ड सुधारो’ के तहत स्थानीय स्वशासन व्यवस्था को वैधानिक स्वरूप प्रदान किया गया सर्वप्रथम 1919 में बंगाल में ‘स्थानीय सरकार अधिनियम, 1919’ पारित किया गया उसके पश्चात सभी प्रान्तों में अधिनियम पारित कर पंचायतों की स्थापना की गई परन्तु उनमें पंचों का चुनाव जनता द्वारा न होकर सरकार द्वारा मनोनयन किया जाता था राजस्थान में बीकानेर पहली देशी रियासत थी जहां 1928 में ग्राम पंचायत अधिनियम पारित कर ग्राम पंचायतों को वैधानिक दर्जा दिया गया जयपुर रियासत में 1938 में ग्राम पंचायत अधिनियम लागू किया गया था ।

महात्मा गाँधी ने ग्राम स्वराज की कल्पना की थी पंचायती राज ग्राम स्वराज्य का आधार है। उन्होनें पंचायती राज व्यवस्था का उल्लेख अपनी पुस्तक ‘ माइ पिक्चर ऑफ फ्री इण्डिया’ में किया गया है। उन्होने गाँवों से सर्वांगीण विकास का सर्वाधिक प्रभावशाली माध्यम ग्राम पंचायतों को बताया था पंचायती राज व्यवस्था के महत्व को दृष्टिगत रखते हुए संविधान के अनुच्छेद 40 में भी इसका प्रावधान है। इसके अनुसरण में विभिन्न राज्यों में पंचायती राज संस्थाओं के लिए अधिनियम पारित कर इन्हें साकार रूप प्रदान किया है।

ग्रामीण विकास में जनस‍हभागिता प्राप्त करने एवं अधिकार व शक्तियों के प्रजातांत्रिक विकेन्द्रीकरण हेतु सलाह देने के उद्देश्य से जनवरी 1957 में श्री बलवंतराय मेहता समिति की स्थापना की गई इस समिति ने 24 नवम्बर 1957 को अपनी रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत की जिसमें सत्ता के विकेन्द्रीकरण पर बल देते हुए देश में त्र‍िस्‍तरीय पंचायती राज व्यवस्था की स्थापना की सिफारिश की गई इन सिफारिशों की क्रियान्वित में 2 अक्टूम्बर 1959 को सर्वप्रथम राजस्थान में नागौर जिले में तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री जवाहरलाल नेहरू द्वारा पंचायती राज व्यवस्था का उद्घाटन किया गया इस प्रकार ‘पंचायती राज’ के बापू के स्वप्न को पूरा करने की ओर कदम उठाया गया उस समय राजस्थान के मुख्यमंत्री स्व. श्री मोहनलाल सुखाड़िया लोकतांत्रिक विकेन्द्रीकरण के प्रबल समर्थक थे राजस्थान के बाद 11 अक्टूम्बर 1959 को आंध्रप्रदेश में त्र‍िस्‍तरीय पंचायती राज व्यवस्था लागू की गई त्र‍िस्‍तरीय पंचायती राज व्यवस्था में ग्राम स्तर पर ग्राम पंचायतें, ब्लॉक स्तर पर पंचायत समितियां व जिला स्तर पर जिला परिषदें गठित की गई पंचायतों की व्यवस्था के लिए तो पहले से ही राजस्थान पंचायत समिति और जिला परिषद अधिनियम, 1959 बनाया गया। 2 अक्टूम्बर, 2009 को पंचायती राज प्रणाली के 50 वर्ष पूर्ण हुए हैं अतः इसकी स्वर्ण जयंती है। इस उपलक्ष में नागौर में 02-10-2009 को इसका स्वर्णजयन्ती समारोह मनाया गया ।1965 के बाद पंचायती राज व्यवस्था में गिरावट आने लगी तथा ये संस्थाएं लगभग निष्प्रभावी सी होने लगी जिसका मुख्य कारण अधिकांश राज्यों में उनके चुनावों का बार बार स्थगित होना उनको अधिकारों का विकेन्द्रीकरण बहुत कम मात्रा में होना तथा वितीय साधनों की कमी होना था ।पंचायती राज व्यवस्था का मूल्यांकन करने तथा इस प्रणाली को और अधिक कारगर बनाने हेतु सुझाव देने के लिए समय समय पर विभिन्न समितियों का गठन किया गया ।

सादिक अली अध्ययन दल पंचायती राज व्यवस्था में सुधार हेतु सुझाव देने के लिए राजस्थान सरकार द्वारा 1964 में यह अध्ययन दल गठित किया गया। इसकी महत्वपूर्ण सिफारिश यह थी कि पंचायत समिति के प्रधान तथा जिला परिषद के प्रमुख का चुनाव इन संस्थाओं के सदस्यों द्वारा किये जाने के स्थान पर वृहतर निर्वाचक मंडल द्वारा किया जाना चाहिए, जिसमें ग्राम पंचायत के अध्यक्ष तथा सदस्य सभी सम्मिलित हों।

गिरधारीलाल व्यास समिति – 1973 में राज्य सरकार द्वारा गठित समिति जिसने प्रत्येक क पंचायत के लिए ग्राम सेवक तथा सचिव नियु‍क्त करने तथा पंचायतीराज संस्थाओं को पर्याप्त वितीय संसाधन दिये जाने पर बल दिया।

अशोक मेहता समिति - पंचायतीराज व्यवस्थाओं का मूल्यांकन करने तथा इस प्रणाली को और अधिक कारगर बनाने हेतु सुझाव देने के लिए 1977-78 में अशोक मेहता समिति का गठन किया गया। इस समिति ने जिला स्तर और मंडल स्तर पर द्वि-स्तरीय पंचायती राज प्रणाली स्थापित करने की सिफारिश की थी। इन्होने मण्डल स्तर पर मण्डल पंचायत को लोकतांत्रिक विकेन्द्रीकरण का केन्द्र बिन्दु बनाने का सुझाव दिया।

एल.एम. सिंघवी समिति – 1986 में गठित इस समिति द्वारा पंचायतीराज संस्थाओं को स्थानीय शासन की आधारभूत ईकाई के रूप में मान्यता देने, ग्रामसभा को महत्व देने आदि की सिफारिश यह थी कि पंचायती राज संस्थाओं को संविधान के अन्तर्गत सरकार का तृतीय स्तर घोषित किया जाना चाहिए और इस हेतु संविधान में एक नया अध्याय जोड़ा जाना चाहिए 73 वें संविधान संशोधन अधिनियम के द्वारा संविधान में नया अध्याय जोड़कर पंचायती राज संस्थाओं को सरकार का तीसरा स्तर प्रदान कर इन्हें संवैधानिक मान्यता कर दी है।

2.पंचायती राज हेतु संविधान संशोधन :

16 सितम्बर 1991 को पी.वी. नरसिम्हा राव सरकार द्वारा पंचायती राज के संबंध में 72 वाँ संविधान संशोधन विधेयक लोकसभा में प्रस्तुत किया गया। लोकसभा ने इस विधेयक की समीक्षा हेतु श्री नाथूराम मिर्धा (राजस्थान) की अध्यक्षता में संयुक्त प्रवर समिति का गठन किया। इस समिति की सिफारिशों के आधार पर 22 दिसम्बर 1992 को लोकसभा द्वारा तथा अगले दिन राज्यसभा में 73 वाँ संविधान संशोधन अधिनियम, 1992 पारित किया गया। 17 राज्यों के अनुमोदन के पश्चात राष्ट्रपति ने इसे 20 अप्रेल 1993 को अपनी स्वीकृति प्रदान की तथा एक अधिसूचना द्वारा 24 अप्रेल 1993 का यह अधिनियम मिजोरम, मेघालय, नागालैंड, जम्मू कश्मीर, दिल्ली राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र व मणिपुर के कुछ पहाड़ी क्षेत्रों को छोड़कर संपूर्ण देश में लागू हो गया। इस संशोधन अधिनियम के द्वारा संविधान के अनुच्छेद 243 को नवें भाग के रूप में जोड़ा गया तथा 11 वीं अनुसूची में जोड़ी गई। जिसमें पंचायती राज संस्थाओं के 29 कार्यो को सूचीबद्ध किया गया है। इस अधिनियम के द्वारा पंचायती राज व्यवस्था को संवैधानिक मान्यता प्राप्त हो गई है। इस अधिनियम द्वारा यह अपेक्षा की गई थी कि देश की सभी राज्य सरकारें इस अधिनियम के लागू होने की तिथि से एक वर्ष के भीतर अपने पुराने प्रचलित पंचायती राज अधिनियमों को निरस्त कर 73 वें संविधान संशोधन अधिनियम के परिप्रेक्ष्य में नए पंचायती राज अधिनियम तैयार कर लागू करें। इन्हीं निर्देशों की अनुपालना में राजस्थान सरकार ने अपने पुराने दोनों अधिनियमों को निरस्त कर एक नया पंचायती राज अधिनियम तैयार कर 23 अप्रेल 1994 से लागू कर दिया जिसे हम ‘राजस्थान पंचायती राज अधिनियम, 1994’ के नाम से पुकारते हैं। इस अधिनियम के संदर्भ में ‘राजस्थान पंचायती राज नियम, 1996’ बनाए गए हैं जो 30 दिसम्बर 1996 से लागू कर दिए गए हैं। राज्य में वर्तमान में 249 पंचायत समितियां, 9177 ग्राम पंचायतें व 33 जिला परिषदें हैं। 73वां संविधान संशोधन अधिनियम, 1992 प्रमुख प्रावधान

ग्राम सभा: प्रत्येक ग्राम पंचायत क्षेत्र के लिए एक ग्राम सभा होगी जिसके सदस्य उस पंचायत के अन्तर्गत आने वाले गांव या गांवों से संबंधित मतदाता सूची में पंजीकृत व्यक्ति होंगे।

प्रत्येक राज्य में पंचायती राज की त्र‍िस्‍तरीय व्यवस्था होगी जिसमें ग्राम , मध्यवर्त व जिला स्तर पर पंचायतों का गठन किया जाएगा परन्तु 20 लाख तक की आबादी वाले राज्यों में मध्यवर्ती स्तर की पंचायत का गठन करना आवश्यक नहीं है।  

कार्यकाल पंचायती राज संस्थाओं का कार्यकाल प्रथम अधिवेशन के लिए नियत तारीख से 5 वर्ष तक होगा।

कार्यकाल की समाप्ति से पूर्व ही चुनाव कराने आवश्यक होंगे किसी संस्था का विघटन किये जाने की स्थिति में विघटन से 6माह के भीतर उसके चुनाव कराने आवश्यक होंगे।  

चुनावग्राम व मध्यवर्ती स्तर पर पंचायत के सभी सदस्य प्रत्यक्ष मतदान द्वारा तथा जिला पंचायत के सभी सदस्य राज्य विधान मंडल द्वारा बनाई गई विधि के अनुसार चुनें जाएंगे।

अध्यक्षों का चुनाव ग्राम स्तर पर राज्य विधानमण्डल द्वारा विहित रीति से एवं मध्यवर्ती व जिला स्तर पर निर्वाचित सदस्यों द्वारा अपने में से होगा।

किसी भी पंचायती राज संस्था का चुनाव लड़ने के लिए न्यूनतम आयु 21 वर्ष होगी।  

आरक्षणसभी पंचायतों में सभी पदों पर (अध्यक्ष पद सहित) अनुसूचित जातियों एवं जनजातियों तथा अन्य पिछड़े वर्गो के लिए उनकी जनसंख्या के अनुपात में सीटें सुरक्षित होगी सभी पदों पर सभी वर्गो में 1/3 स्थान महिलाओं के लिए आरक्षित होंगे।

ऐसे स्थान किसी पंचायत में भिन्न भिन्न निर्वाचित क्षेत्रों को चक्रानुक्रम से आवंटित किए जाएंगे। केन्द्र सरकार ने अब पंचायती राज संस्थाओं में महिलाओं के लिए 50 प्रतिशत आरक्षण के प्रावधान को 27.08.09 को मंजूरी दे दी।

राज्य के विधानमंडल को यह छूट होगी कि पंचायतों में पिछड़े वर्गो के लिए भी स्थान सुरक्षित रखें।

निर्वाचन आयोग प्रत्येक राज्य में इन संस्थाओं के चुनाव निष्पक्ष व समय पर करवाने हेतु पृथक से चुनाव आयोग की स्थापना की जाएगी, जिसका प्रमुख राज्य निर्वाचन आयुक्त होगा इसकी निुयक्ति राज्यपाल द्वारा की जाएगी तथा उन्हें उच्च न्यायालय के न्यायाधीश की तरह ही राष्ट्रपति द्वारा संसद् में महाभियोग प्रस्ताव पास होने के बाद हटाया जाएगा।  

वि�� आयोग पंचायती राज संस्थाओं की वितीय स्थिति सुदृढ करने तथा पर्याप्त मात्रा में वितीय संसाधन उपलब्ध कराने हेतु सुझाव देने के लिए प्रत्येक राज्य के राज्यपाल द्वारा हर 5 साल में राज्य वित आयोग का गठन किया जाएगा जो अपनी रिपोर्ट राज्यपाल को देगा।

This Week In VR Sports: Higher Resolutions All Around

VRFocus is back once again to bring you another entry of This Week In VR Sport. With a number of sports related virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) stories, this week has a theme of looking to the future at bigger, better and more immersive quality content. The BBC reveal their plans to provide Ultra HD and VR coverage of the Fifa World Cup 2018, UAE deliver the first real-time, 360-degree VR broadcast and NextVR release a new high-resolution format alongside highlights from the NBA Finals.

BBC To Show World Cup 2018 In Ultra HD & VR

Ahead of the upcoming Fifa World Cup 2018 in Russia, BBC Sport have announced that they will be able to enjoy the event in Ultra HD and VR in new trials of the technology. This will include a fully immersive stadium experience which will be put the viewer into their own hospitality box thanks to the power of head-mounted displays (HMDs). All 33 matches that will be broadcast by the BBC will be available to watch for free on the BBC Sport’s VR 2018 World Cup application. 29 of those matches will be shown on BBC One in Ultra HD as well.

The Ultra HD experience will be access through a high-speed internet connection and will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis. The HD stream will be available to watch from BBC iPlayer as soon as programme coverage beings but users will be limited to “tens of thousands of people”. Those wanting to have the optimum viewing experience are encouraged to have a 40 megabit per second (Mbps) internet connection.

Matthew Postgate, BBC chief technology & product officer, said: “From the very first tournament on TV in 1954 and England’s finest hour in 1966, to the first colour World Cup in 1970 and then full HD in 2006, the BBC has brought major live broadcasting breakthroughs to UK audiences throughout the history of the World Cup. Now, with these trials we’re giving audiences yet another taste of the future.”

The VR app will be made available in the coming weeks for iOS and Android devices along with a release on Samsung Gear VR, Oculus Go and PlayStation VR.

UAE Creates History With Live VR Telecast Of Football

By taking advantage of the latest technology and a dedicated 600 Mbps connection, video feeds from camera rigs of up to five cameras were captured and stitched together into one single 360-degree video in real time, being distributed to viewers with low-latency. This achievement was made possible by Spanish broadcaster and producer Mediapro, UAE telco Etisalat and, most importantly, the UAE Pro League Committee (PLC) and premiered at the final of the UAE Arabian Gulf Cup at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain.

Viewer were able to download the Etisalat’s AGL VR Seat Experience app, which is available on both iOS and Android, and immersive themselves in a virtual VIP seat where they were able to take in the full excitement of the match. The broadcast of course required a lot of planning and work on the day to ensue that the five camera wre stitched together into a single 360-degree video in real time.

Ammar Hina, TV Broadcast and Production Director at PLC, recalls: “We at PLC launched our strategy two seasons ago. Part of this strategy was to work more intensively on technology to redefine the audience experience of live football. The idea for broadcasting in VR also came two seasons ago.”

The project started back in 2017 were the team was tasked with designing the workflow to allow for this broadcast to take place. One of the biggest roadblocks for the event was the bandwidth required. For the VR requirement and the multiple camera rigs that were being used a strong connection was needed. The end result was a dedicated connection with a minimum of 600 Mbps that was offered by Etisalat, a long-time partner of PLC.

Humaid Sahoo, CEO of E-Vision, the broadcasting arm of Etisalat, said: “We are delighted to partner with the Pro League Committee to unveil the region’s first virtual reality app to broadcast live football matches, enabling our consumers to experience the thrill of the games from the comfort of their homes.”

NextVR and NBA Digital To Feature The 2018 NBA Finals

Lastly this week, NBA Digital and NextVR will give fans a chance to see the highlights of the 2018 NBA Finals featuring the Golden State Warriors vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers for free, available on-demand in VR. Alongside this, NextVR are also making a new high-resolution format publicly available that will deliver the most realistic and immersive VR experience to date.

The day following each game of the Finals, fans will be able to access the highlights in the NBA Finals channel within the NextVR application and see the key moments from the games in stunning VR. The new high-resolution format will deliver increased resolution and sharpness to head-mounted displays on all existing VR platforms, with higher-end displays such as the HTC Vive Pro realizing the most dramatic impact for fans’ viewing pleasure.

“Improving fidelity and realism is critical for the success of virtual reality media. This upgraded format adds detail, sharpness and enhanced 3D depth to our broadcasts, greatly increasing realism and overall sense of presence,” said David Cole, NextVR co-founder and CEO. “While all users will see an immediate improvement, this only scratches the surface of the capabilities of this format and our technology platform. More advanced headsets slated to ship in the future will take even greater advantage of this new VR broadcast technology.”

Fans using the NextVR app on headsets such as the HTC Vive Pro and Samsung Odyssey will be able to enjoy the most visually stunning VR experience to date, with other platforms seeing a range of benefits from the new high-resolution format. The NextVR app is available now on Oculus Go, PlayStation VR, HTC Vive, HTC Vive Pro, Windows Mixed Reality, Samsung Gear VR, and Google Daydream.

今大会は例によって政治面で喧嘩中のサウジ・UAEとカタールで中立地でやるかやらないかで揉めていたものの, AFCはこの3カ国の対戦については中立地開催を認めないことにし, それにサウジもUAEも渋々同意したので, 無事現在の形で西地区は開催できることになった. ちなみにサウジとイランについては今年も中立地開催. UAEとイランは特になし. この驚き?の決定にはbeIN Sportsが色々動いたらしいと囁かれている.

D組と比較すると全体的に落ちるが, そのD同様に拮抗していそうな組.

Tractor Sazi(Iran) / トラクトゥール・サーズィー(トーラクトゥール, トラクトル・サジとも)

昨季成績: 3位(勝ち点56) 今季成績: 10位(勝ち点28) 本拠地: ヤーデガーレ・イマーム・スタジアム(サハンド・スタジアムとも), タブリーズ アジアでの最高成績: R16(2016) 現監督: E. サラム氏(2018～) 著名な選手: メフディ・キアニ(6番, MF), オミド・アリシャー(7番, MF. イラン代表歴あり) 今冬加入選手:エフサン・パフラヴァン(15番, MF. イラン代表歴あり, 期限付き移籍),  メフディ・メフディプール(9番, MF, 期限付き移籍) など. Memo: タブリーズの雄. イランの4大人気クラブの1角を占める. 事実上軍隊(陸軍)が所有するクラブで, 兵役に就くことになった選手はここでプレーすることも多い. 但し似た性格のクラブである韓国の尚州尚武と違い, 兵役でない選手や外国人選手も所属できる. 補強の手段として兵役を利用しているという批判も存在する. ACLに出場するためのライセンス取得の為に様々な金銭関係の問題を一気に処理した結果, 一時期口座の中身がすっからかんになってしまっていたらしい.

Al Gharafa(Qatar) / アル・ガラファ

昨季成績: 5位(勝ち点, 14チーム) 今季成績: 6位(勝ち点20, 12チーム) PO成績: 2-1(vsパフタコール(UZB)) 本拠地: サーニ・ビン・ジャーシム・スタジアム, アル・ラーヤン アジアでの最高成績: QF(2010) 現監督: B. ウユグン氏(2018～) 著名な選手:カシム・ブルハン(1番, GK. 元カタール代表) 今冬加入選手:ヴェスレイ・スナイデル(10番, MF. オランダ代表), メフディ・タレミ(9番, FW. イラン代表), アッシム・マディボ(4番, MF. カタール代表) Memo: 昨季4位のエル・ジャイシュがレフウィヤに吸収合併という形で消滅した為, その分の出場権を得た形での出場. 前半戦の残念な結果を受けて, 監督交代等を含めカタール勢の中ではこの冬最も派手な動きを見せたクラブ. その豪快な補強はこの国でもそこそこ報じられることとなった. 補強の甲斐あってか, 開幕時よりはやや持ち直しているが上位3チームとの差は感じられる.

アル・デュハイルの実力が抜きん出ている. 残りでもう1枠を争うことになりそうな組

Al Duhail(Qatar) / アル・デュハイル

昨季成績: 1位(勝ち点63, 14チーム) 今季成績: 1位(勝ち点42, 12チーム) 本拠地: アブドゥラ・ビン・ハリファ・スタジアム(レフウィヤ・スタジアムとも), ドーハ アジアでの最高成績: QF(2013, 15)(レフウィヤとしての成績) 現監督: D. ベルマンディ氏(2015～) 著名な選手: ユーセフ・ムサクニ(28番, MF. チュニジア代表), ユーセフ・エル・アラビ(9番, FW. モロッコ代表歴あり), ナム・テヒ(10番, MF. 韓国代表) 注目選手: アルモエズ・アリ(19番, FW. カタール代表) Memo: 昨季まではレフウィヤSCと名乗っていたチーム. エル・ジャイシュを吸収して新体制となったが, 実質中身はほぼレフウィヤそのものだと言っても過言ではない. レフウィヤ時代を含めてもまだ創立から10年未満の新興クラブであり, 戦力は国外に修行に出ていた有望な若手選手をカタール他クラブにそのまま貸し出せるほどでかつ資金力も豊富だとされるが, ファンの数はまだまだ少ない.

Al Wahda(United Arab Emirates) / アル・ワフダ

昨季成績: 5位(勝ち点39, 14チーム) 今季成績: 2位(勝ち点36, 12チーム) 本拠地: アル・ナヒヤン・スタジアム, アブダビ または ザーイド・スポーツ・シティー・スタジアム, アブダビ アジアでの最高成績: SF(2007) 現監督: L. レゲカンプ氏(2017～) 著名な選手: イスマイル・マタル(10番, FW. UAE代表), セバスチャン・タグリアブエ(11番, FW) 今冬加入選手: ナセル・アブドゥルハディ(15番, MF. 期限付き移籍から復帰) Memo: UAE代表の英雄的存在であるマタルがほぼずっと在籍しているクラブ. また, かつて日本代表監督であったJ. アギーレ氏が昨季まで率いていた. 先日開催されたスーパーカップではアル・ジャジーラ相手に快勝し, 1つタイトルを獲得した. UAE内でも熱烈的なファンを多く有するクラブの1つであり, 観客動員数の低迷に悩むAGLの中でも比較的良い値を残しているクラブの1つである. ここのファンは, クラブカラーと一致するラトヴィア国旗をよく自チームを示す際に使用している.

Lokomotiv(Uzbekistan) / ロコモティフ

昨季成績: 1位(勝ち点70, 16チーム) 今季成績: 開幕前(12チーム) 本拠地: ロコモティフ・スタジアム, タシュケント アジアでの最高成績: QF(2016) 現監督: A. ミクルヤエフ氏(2015～), 事実上はM. ジェリチッチ氏(2015?～) 著名な選手: イグナティ・ネステロフ(1番, GK, ウズベキスタン代表) 今冬加入選手:サルドール・ラシドフ(27番, MF. ウズベキスタン代表),  フスニディン・ガフロフ(19番, MF. ウズベキスタン代表歴あり) など Memo: PFL並びにウズベク杯を連覇した, 現在のウズベクで(多分)1番強いクラブ. 12年のPFL復帰以後上位争いを始めた新興勢の1つで, その過程で他クラブから大量に引き抜いたこともあり, 現在はウズベク代表選手の数人が在籍している. ウズベクの4強の1つとも言っていいが, 観客動員の面ではナサフ等に比べるとどうしても劣るのが現状. ウズベクのクラブチームの中で現時点で唯一公式Twitterが認証マークを貰っている.

Zob Ahan(Iran) / ゾブ・アハン(ゾブ・アーハン, ゾバハンとも)

昨季成績: 4位(勝ち点46) 今季成績: 2位(勝ち点38, 暫定) PO成績: 3-1(vsアイゾール(IND)) 本拠地: フーラード・シャフル・スタジアム, エスファハーン アジアでの最高成績: 準優勝(2010) 現監督: A. ガレノイー氏(2017～) 著名な選手: モルテザ・タブリーズィー(11番, FW/MF), モハマド・ラシド・マザヘリ(12番, GK. イラン代表) 今冬加入選手: アクバル・イマニ(4番, MF. イラン代表), ハレド・シャフィイー(66番, DF) Memo: エスファハーンの緑の方. 4大人気クラブには彼らは含まれない. カップ戦王者のナフト・テヘランがライセンスを取得できなかった為に繰り上がりで出場権を得た. オーナーが製鉄会社であり, クラブ名称は鉄を溶かす的な意味をしている. ACLの成績は特に近年苦戦の続くイラン勢の中では優秀な部類に属し, 通算成績での勝率は5割を超えている.

3強1弱という構図が予想される組. 3強の実力はほぼ同等と見ている.

Persepolis(Iran) / ペルセポリス(ペルセポリースとも)

昨季成績: 2位(勝ち点61, 14チーム) 今季成績: 2位(勝ち点40, 12チーム) 本拠地: ハリファ・インターナショナル・スタジアム, ドーハ アジアでの最高成績: 優勝(2011) 現監督: J. フェレイラ氏(2015～) 著名な選手: シャビエル・エルナンデス(6番, MF. 元スペイン代表), ハッサン・アル・ハイドゥス(10番, MF/FW. カタール代表) 今冬加入選手: アブドゥルカリム・ハッサン(14番, DF, カタール代表, 期限付き移籍から復帰), アクラム・アフィフ(96番, MF. カタール代表, 期限付き移籍) Memo: 最後に西地区からこの大会を制覇した古豪クラブ. ついでにここ10年でこの大会を制した西地区のチームもサッドのみとなる. カタールの中でも最も人気のあるクラブの1つであり, ファンも数多い. 愛称は“The Boss”などがある. 最近新スポンサーとしてカタール航空を手に入れた. シャビは今季限りでの引退を表明しているが, サッド自体もここ2年はPOで敗退という結果に終わっていた為, 彼にとっては今年の大会が最初で最後のACLの本戦となる.

Al Wasl(United Arab Emirates) / アル・ワスル

昨季成績: 2位(勝ち点57, 14チーム) 今季成績: 3位(勝ち点32, 12チーム) 本拠地: ザビール・スタジアム, ドバイ アジアでの最高成績: GS(2008) 現監督: R. アルアバレーナ氏(2016～) 著名な選手並びに注目選手: ファビオ・デ・リマ(10番, FW) Memo: UAE内でも屈指の人気を誇る強豪クラブ. 熱狂的なファンが多く, ガラガラなことも多いAGLの試合でもここの試合は大抵それなりに人がいる. かつてあのD. マラドーナ氏が監督を務めていたこともある. カイオ, リマ, メンデスのブラジル人3人が引っ張る攻撃面の破壊力は大会屈指のもの. ACLへの出場は2002-03以降に限れば08年の一度しかない. 大会形式がほぼ現在の形となった09年以降毎年出場してきたアル・ジャジーラとは対照的に, こちらは09年以後に限定すると初参加.

Nasaf(Uzbekistan) / ナサフ

昨季成績: 2位(勝ち点62, 16チーム) 今季成績: 開幕前(12チーム) PO成績: 5-1(vsアル・ファイサリー(JOR)) 本拠地:カルシ・マルカジイ・スタジアム, カルシ アジアでの最高成績: GS(2012, 15, 16, ACL), 優勝(2011, AFC Cup) 現監督: R. ベルディエフ氏(2012～, 現在ウズベク代表の暫定監督を務めている) 注目選手: アジズ・ガニエフ(6番, MF. ウズベキスタン代表), オディル・ハムロベコフ(7番, MF. ウズベキスタン代表) 今冬加入選手: ジャホンギル・アリエフ(21番, MF, タジキスタン代表) Memo: 近年4強体制の様相を見せるPFLにおいて, 唯一本拠地が首都タシュケントでは無いクラブ. ナサフという名前はカルシの古名. 最近はタシュケント方面への主力流出が続いているが, その穴を若手の積極起用等で埋め, その強さを維持し続けている. ACLでの実績は皆無に等しいが, AFC Cupの優勝経験がある. ME勢以外のAFC Cup制覇はこのナサフと15年の(棚ぼた)決勝を制したジョホールDTしか達成したことがない.

昨季成績: 3位(勝ち点51, 14チーム) 今季成績: 3位(勝ち点35, 12チーム) 本拠地: アフメド・ビン・アリ・スタジアム(アル・ラーヤン・スタジアムとも), アル・ラーヤン アジアでの最高成績: GS(7回) 現監督: M. ラウドルップ氏(2016～) 著名な選手: ロドリゴ・タバタ(10番, FW. 元カタール代表), セバスティアン・ソリア(23番, FW. 元カタール代表) 今冬加入選手: アフメド・ヤセル(3番, DF, カタール代表, 期限付き移籍) Memo: カタールの古豪クラブの1つであり, アル・サッドと並ぶ人気クラブ. 14年に降格, 15年にQSL復帰, そして16年は圧倒的な強さで優勝とここ数年は波のある成績となっていた. 2部と1部を連続優勝した初めてのチームとなったようだ. 意外にもACLでの成績は散々であり, なんと一度もGSを突破したことがないという結果に終わっている.

Al Ain(United Arab Emirates) / アル・アイン

UAE代表), 塩谷司(33番, DF. 日本代表歴あり) など. 今冬加入選手: アフメド・ハリル(20番, FW. UAE代表), フセイン・エル・シャハト(74番, MF. 期限付き移籍) Memo: この地域屈指の強豪の1つであり, また日本に所縁のある選手も複数所属していることからこの国での知名度も高いクラブ. 通称はこれまた “The Boss”. 合併で誕生したシャバーブ・アル・アハリ・ドバイがライセンス取得過程から除外され, また自身も財政面の問題により一度はライセンス取得を認められなかったものの最終的には認められた為に出場権を得た.   2002-03より現名称で始まったACLの初代王者である. それ以降暫くはパッとしなかったが, 最近ではまたこの大会の上位常連となっている.

16年以降の成績のみを計算対象とし, AFCから計算式に関する何の発表もないことから取り敢えず17年と同じ計算式を用いつつもクラブ点のみを使用し, かつめんどくさいのでクラブ点の100点満点換算をしていないもの. の西地区のみ版. ちなみに東西合わせた1位は中国で, その点数は40.517点となっている.

また, タジキスタンの値は公式での値と本来の計算結果にズレがある(本来1.6点加算されるべきところで0.89点の加算となっている)為, 下に本来の計算結果を載せている.

2021年以降のACL並びにAFC Cup出場枠を割り当てる為の順位は19年11月下旬(または12月)に発表される予定のものと予想されている.
