Typing here because notes don't give notification but here are the fundamental points of disagreement I take with this framing.

As stated in my reply, it is no secret that Hamas considers itself to be acting on behalf of the Palestinian people or is aligned with their interests, including an end to Israeli occupation. Whether the Palestinian people are aligned with them I do not know, but let's presume for a second that they are, and that every single Palestinian believes that every Israeli citizen is fair game for any amount of brutal violence one chooses to inflict. This still changes nothing other than how Westerners view the moral position of the people. But even if a people had an entirely "bad" national character, it would still not justify their occupation and intentional genocide, which is at least a major part of the fundamental project of Israeli occupation and always has been.

No two situations are exactly the same, but consider the case of Aghanistan. There is a nonzero percentage of Aghans who actively support the Talbian. There is an even larger number who saw their lands and lives and livelihoods and families outright decimated by two decades of war between the occupying US forces and the various fighter groups trying to wrest control out of US hands, and wanted absolutely any end to the war possible even as everyone knew that would mean imminent rule by the Taliban. The US occupation of Afghanistan was terrible and violent and only added to the overall level of violence surrounding everyday people. Neither the fact that the US occupation was horrific, nor the fact that some Afghans support the current Taliban government, means that those egging on the end of US occupation were cheering for the Taliban. The fact that some Aghans support the Taliban does not mean I think women and girls should, in fact, be barred from school and most public life. But even if the national character of the Afghan people was such that every single one of them supported the Talbian during US rule, that wouldn't mean they deserved occupation and genocide for people of poor character. The West has had to outright lie about the levels of Nazi sympathizing and violent elimination of dissent baked into the Ukranian state's character. I acknowledge that this is a position you could call that of a "Soviet sympathizer," but among those in the left with this view of Ukraine, we still don't think the Ukranian people deserve to be tossed into a meat grinder and made to die in tremendous numbers for no reason. Ironically, it is the West with its talk of support that takes this view of the value of the lives of these people. So talk of what a people support or like in a region of the world where of course people have different values and ideas and goals than I would is not a useful barometer for anything imo.

If every Palestinian wanted every Israeli dead tomorrow, the state of Israel would continue to exist. If every Israeli wanted every Palestinian dead tomorrow, the Palestinian people might see a conclusion to their ongoing genocide in the region, because Israel has a state, it has a military, it has almost a whole nation of potential conscripts and gives itself 18 years to militarize and shape the viewpoints of those potential conscripts, it has its Iron dome, it has American backing, it has the aporoval of the "international community" and has been pushing the bounds ever more in the direction of internationall illegal actions for every year of its existence. It is not surprising that it's not the case that every Israeli wants that- it's a function of the fact that human beings generally dislike violence and do not wish to see war. But functionally, I could say the same, that everyone who is sending #prayersforIsrael thinks the people on the receiving end of IDR bombs signed by Israeli children deserved to die, and that every Israeli must answer for some Israelis setting up beach chairs to watch a bombing; ultimately that's what this sounds like to me. I legitimately think the national character of Americans is absolutely awful, and the project itself rotten beyond use, but if some new occupying force showed up tomorrow determined to enact a genocide on the whole nation, I would find that bad in the same fundamental way that I despise all genocide.

Layla Karnes and Liam Carr switched coaches from IAMO to John Kerr and Nikolai Morozov in Florida

they did well with their RD at Championnats in August, then went to the British qualifier Aug 21-25, and were 3rd (of 3 i think) after Lilah and Lewis and Bekker/Hernandez. they maybe weren't welcomed with open arms by British figure skating or team Britain - there were a lot of photos of skaters being warm and posing together, and Layla and Liam weren't included in any of them, and there was a coach who appeared inconsiderate at best towards them on the stream

i don't know if British Ice Skating encouraged them to move to a British coach, or if they thought it would help their prospects. John Kerr was a 7x British ice dance champion with his sister Sinead who placed 10th and 8th at the 2006 and 2010 Olympics. He coaches at the Iceberg Skating Academy and the Pines Ice Arena in Miami. I can't find any teams who are competing internationally from there this season- Jillian Prever/Aghan Berk Dortkol were on the JGP last season representing Turkey but not this one. Katarina del Camp who skated for a season with Ian Somerville also trained there last season with her new partner/husband, but they left for Matthew Gates in North Carolina in June

How I Met Lived a Year With Osama Bin Laden in the Tora Bora Caves with My Father As Northern Alliance and Osama Bin Laden Negotiator.

As you can see in the early 1970s when my father worked for Chas T Main the infamous NSA/CIA contracting company my father was first and foremost the boss of the author of the NY Billion dollar best seller and his book is entitled "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man." Secondly during the early 1970s, Saudi Arabia was in turmoil and became an ally of the USA. As you can clearly see in my father's resume, my father was stationed in Saudi Arabia, and I went a long of course while my father managed the project of building Saudi Arabia's first 14-billion-dollar Nuclear Power plant. Then the CIA threw in a sweetheart deal for the Saudi's, they decided to pave all the roads leading to both Mecca and Medina yearly to help the Muslims on their yearly Hajj yearly over the Ramadan holiday.

The CIA designated my father, and we are both Jewish, the job of talking me over and hiring the Bin Laden Contracting Company to conduct all of the paving of those roads. I am very proud of this. Anyway, I became extremely close with all of the Bin Laden family. Osama and I always used to take karate lessons together. And me and his sister used to go to the amusement park and Blue Mosque together. Thern, I watched as Osama became increasingly radicalized and begam bombing the royal family there demanding they leave the country etc etc. He needed a country to go to which brings us just about up to the Afghan-Soviet War. As the war began my father became stationed in Aghan in Kabul Afghanistan at the USA Embassy there. I remember it quite vividly because 6 days a week the Afghans still went to their single ballpark in Kabul and used to practice for the Olympics 6 days a week. on the 7th day there was no ball practice and the ballpark because the assassination site for all women for such things as adultery etc. A bag was placed over each women's head and one bullet they were each shot once behind their right ear the professional mark of a hit man. Most of the females killed were innocent. Anyway, the CIA needed to use Bin Laden as a buffer against the Soviet Republik at that time and armed and my father trained him. The CIA also allowed him to go and leave Saudi Arabia and run things in Afghanistan. My father became the sole negotiator between Osama Bin Laden and the Northern Alliance.

I had lots of good times in those caves play9ing handguns and guns along with Bin Laden's son Omar now married to Hajo. In fact I remember when Bin Ladens' 9th and most beloved wife Haji came from Yemen/ My father brought her family in Yemen his 10 Million dollar dowry and no one else knows that is the price even Joe Biden does not so I can easily prove I was indeed living in those caves with Mousousi about one year. What weas it like. I gave me odd habits. There were no showers and we all slept on the dirt ground on a tiny mattress. Once every 5 months we poured some water for a shower over our heads. We ate cold food out of old world war cans and Bin Laden HAD a generator for electricity. Bin Laden always carried two things 1) A 25.000.000 check the exact amount of his bounty cashed in any deniomination and 2) A CELL phone which he rarely used and when he did he was caught and assassinated. PS: The Pakistani's are a bunch of liars taking USA dollars saying the can not go into the Northern part of Afghanistan because "it is too dangerous there." I can not be too dangerous because I was there at age 7 with Daddy and Osama Bin Laden. What do they do in Northern Pakistan. That was where Bin Laden had his "strong-hold complex," as he called it and he lived there with all his wives and "widows." They used to walk me around his complex and hold my hand.           Aghân was one of the Drûghu, known also as the Drúedain, who lived in the Forest of Brethil. He was skilled in the healing of wounds, and had special knowledge of the venoms used by orcs. Aghân was friends with his neighbor Barach of the Haladin, and during a time of orc-raids in Brethil he took pity upon Barach’s young family and devoted himself to watching over their homestead. Barach and his wife Lareth had two young children at the time, Dannach and Ranceth, and they greatly appreciated Aghân’s kindness.           But Aghân could not protect Barach’s family in every moment, and soon he was called away to help an injured kinsman. In his place he left a watch-stone carved in the shape of a Drûg, assuring Barach that this would protect his family in his absence. Barach was doubtful, but many days passed without incident—yet as soon as he relaxed, a party of orcs attacked and attempted to set his home ablaze, only for a mysterious Drûg to appear and beat them back.           Barach afterwards discovered that it was the watch-stone itself who had saved his family from the orcs, miraculously coming to life and putting out the flames. When Aghân returned the next day, he too appeared to have suffered burns from the connection he had with the stone, but his wounds were already healing.           Barach thanked Aghân profusely, and they remained in friendship for the rest of their days. When Dannach and Ranceth grew older, they passed the story of the Faithful Stone onto their own children, and even as the Drûghu retreated into their own private realms their faithfulness and valour remained in the legends of the Edain.
