Because radical economic changes sucks ass. It's not based on national borders so much as existing economic situations (which are shaped by national borders via national economic policy). The idea is less "that if your nation can't pull its weight in productivity then their citizens get fucked" and more the transformation of and economy towards equity will necessitate large changes for some area and drastic economic and social changes really suck. Especially when in the context of " to each according to their need" the UK need is gonna be sitting alongside the building of basic infrastucture in the central African republic. Like yeah maybe you get enough food and clothes but spending your time building factories or migrating to places work exists while you survive of what food aggricultural regions can spare is gonna really really suck. Like when you produce very little and your living standard is way above the international average socialist revolution sucks.
me when i have a reliable public transport network and guaranteed housing and food and water and electricity and healthcare and democratic control over my workplace and no boss who can threaten to fire me and destroy my life and no landlord who can threaten to evict me and do the same but i can't buy a banana at the grocery store: my life has been immeasurably ruined

At the farm, they don't tell us how many hours we will be working for during the day until we have worked to the maximum and found out ourselves. Sometimes this is understandable (heavy rain could start at 12 or 1 or 2 or 3 and you just don't know) but most of the time that is not the case.
They also said during the first day that: take breaks as you need them, don't over exhaust yourselves.
BUT they look so dissapointed and displeased when you go on your by law (paid) 12 minute coffee break and your half an hour (not paid) lunch break. If the day is 8 hours long it by law includes 2 12 minute coffee breaks, and they look so butt hurt when I take them, the other Finnish workes don't take them for that reason and even I have started to take my snacks with me to the work area so I can eat them in peace. AND I don't think the foreigners know about the coffee breaks. If I don't know how many hours we will work it is so difficult to plan the breaks and I end up not taking them even though I need them and they are by law for me to take.
I'm happy that one of the Finnish workers started to question how this place is run, cause there are so many ways for the employers to screw people over in small scale berry farms. It is a some what known problem in Finland but not addressed.
So remember to read your collective labour agreement and make sure your rights happen, if you don't act on them your boss probs won't remind you.

Farmers are the most valuable citizens. They are the most vigorous, the most independent, the most virtuous, and they are tied to their country and wedded to its liberty and interests by the most lasting bonds. The people, related with the agriculture, cultivation, they are most respected person...... They work hard in their daily life, inspite of all these they don't get sufficient benefits. We have neglected the truth that a good farmer is a craftsman of the highest order, a kind of artist. . LATEST TECHNOLOGY ON AGGRICULTURE
Transforming agriculture with e-technology
Agricultural practices and advancements differ globally—since plants have their own differences and the location plays a role on their development as well. But through the exchange of knowledge from different agriculturally-involved individuals from all over the world, improvement of techniques can be experienced as well.
Transforming rural India with the help of digital technologies:
• ICT is becoming the facilitator of socio-economic development in rural India with its obvious facilities by way of health, education, financial services and employment avenues, etc. It can help the bridge gaps by providing ‘e’ and ‘m’ services. ICT offering meant for rural sector can be classified into three categories: 1.Those solutions which aim are aimed at empowerment 2.Those which would do enablement. 3.Those for market expansion.
Historical Transformations in Agriculture
The invention of the plow and irrigation is what allowed farming villages along the Euphrates and Tigris rivers to grow into the earliest cities, examples of which include Ur, Eridu, and Uruk. Eridu may have, in fact, been the first urban center in the world.
Modern agriculture is a term used to describe the wide type of production practices employed by American farmers. It makes use of hybrid seeds of selected variety of a single crop, technologically advanced equipment and lots of energy subsidies in the form of irrigation water, fertilizers and pestisides
farmers and agribusinesses in developing countries are less able to increase food production and engage in value-added processing. New technologies, such as solar food dryers and solar water irrigation, allow farmers living off-grid to replace expensive diesel generators with cheaper and cleaner technologies. This segment of the energy access market is still in the early stages of development but much progress is being made in our work with companies that offer modern energy solutions to boost productivity and economic growth. at are making farms smarter and more efficient than ever before
Agricultural technology refers for the production of machines used on a farm to help with farming. Agricultural machines have been designed for practically every stage of the agricultural process.
2.
Anulek Agrotech
Set up by Mumbai-based entrepreneurs, Anulekh focuses on increasing soil fertility to achieve higher agricultural productivity and crop yield with lower resource use.
3. Mitra
A Nashik-based startup, MITRA (Machines, Information, Technology, Resources for Agriculture) aims to improve mechanization at horticulture farms with the use of R&D and high quality farm equipment.
4. CropIn Technology Solutions
5. Eruvaka Technologies

PSA about summer jobs at finnish berry farms.
There are a bunch of berry farms that let the workers live on the farm for very cheap during the work months. My rent per night was less than 2 euros. I slept in a nice hundreds years old clean granary, the air was good and there were no mosquitos.
If the farm does it right, the living space is Ok, you have access to the laundry machine and shower room at all times, the kitchen has all the important tools and stuff and the workers toilet works. And the boss drives the workers to the grocery store at least once a week if they don't have a car or there isn't public transportation.
But I have also read about farms that are absolutely horrible to live and work in, and in general, I don't think berry farms are under proper supervision. (I read about cases were people are over worked and sleep in animal sheds without enough personal room to strech in.)
I recommend working on a berry farm during a summer once in your life because you will save and make some money and get to experience the best part of finnish summer for almost free, but try to find aggriculture students from that area so you can find out if the farm is horrible or good. Most are good but you never know. During the two summers I have had coworkers from all around the world and everyone has been nice.

I have always had the fantasy, the dream, that I will write something really good (multiple things) and get so much money for it that I could escape the 5am-2pm low wage job thing that is waiting for me when I graduate from uni. On the other hand it would be cool to work as a aggriculture expert for the government, that would be important and maybe even satisfying work. One other dream I have is running/working in a public speeking company that makes presentations and speeches (is there a company that does this?).
