Hn, the Queen of Raspberries is a hookah bar, huh? I'm sure 42 will fit in perfectly there. A smoke-ridden lounge is exactly the spot for a secret agent.
EDIT: ... Alright. Stop mocking me. How was I supposed to know he has asthma?

Oh, 42 is wary of Olive ! That is very interesting... he is curious of what crime she has committed. I am, too ! For what means does she steal ? It seems like she was willing to risk everything for it . . . how interesting haha!

Your fave is problematic: 42
Well, we all expected that this would come. No one would argue that Agent 42 is devoid of faults, but it's about time we examine just exactly how problematic he is. None shall go unscathed.
As of the end of the party's time in Sinncitti, I'll be starting the continuous list for 42's crimes. I'll keep adding onto this if necessary. Otherwise, an entirely new post may be in order. Considering everything that's wrong with him, it wouldn't exactly be surprising.
The first and most obvious issue is that 42 is a man in a party of non-men. Not only is 42 a man in a party of non-men, but he does not ever make the effort to acknowledge his male privilege in a space where many nonbinary and femme-identified exist. Seems entitled to me.
The very first thing that 42 does upon waking up is get dressed up in a suit. Wow. Suits are inherently used as a class indicator. Not only is 42 a man, but he chooses to flaunt his masculinity and his status within his society. So, you're classist now, too, huh? Wow.
Next, 42 notably leaves a note for his roommate to clean the dishes. Wow. Ever the misogynist, huh? 42's roommate is a nonbinary and more generally femme-presenting individual, and 42 immediately burdens them with emotional labor and the task of household duties. These are the actions and demands of a chauvinist.
It almost goes without saying that 42's career choices are obviously problematic, but I'll say it anyways. Hitman. Enough said.
Also, 42 is a government lackey, meaning that his very existence upholds a toxic system that oppresses its peoples. In short: cop energy. Boo.
42 also clearly takes place in workplace bullying, as he chases after a poor unsuspecting coworker by the name of Agent 53. Remember, workplace bullying is never acceptable. Always notify HR if you have to interact with someone like 42.
42 is an animal killer and therefore abuser. Don't believe me? Ask Winthrop the Elephant.
Not only is 42 an impersonator and an identity thief, which is a terrible thing in and of itself, but he's also a known gaslighter. He impersonated Brandon Holder, Vincent's ex-boyfriend, to his face, and used Holder's appearance to gain leverage over and lie to Vincent. Actually manipulative and disgusting. #VincentDidNothingWrong
So, to summarize, 42 is misogynistic, classist, murderous, oppressive, bullying, animal abusing gaslighter. So don't you dare 'stan' him. 42 is fucking problematic.
Signing off (for now),

This conversation was absolutely rife with tension. This conversation proves that Holder is gay, since Vincent is clearly his ex. As I suspected. There also is something inherently intimate about acting as someone else.
Heh. 42 is doing a good job keeping up the Holder act. He knows what it means to be dark and twisted. To live a life that others scorn, like those in the Queen of Raspberries. It makes me think he can understand the inside of Holder's mind like no one else can.
EDIT: Stop bothering me. I didn't realize 42 had mixed up with the drink thing. How was I supposed to know Holder didn't drink?
HOLY FUCK AAAA THE CONVERSATION BTWN 42!HOLDER AND VINCENT I -- ?!??!
HE CALLS HIM BRANDY??? help why is that kinda --
BUT THERE'S SOME GOOD INFO HERE LIKE: “There are people who don’t want anything to do with with your work. Plenty of ppl don’t want to see your face around here.”
HH GUYS I'M PRETTY SURE THEY BROKE UPPP
42: take care
V: you can’t say that after everything
42: what do you want me to say
V: THE TRUTH MAYBE
I SORT OF THOUGHT THAT WAS YOUR WHOLE THING

So, 42's true form was revealed to the whole party. Heh. They all reacted with shock, as expected. 42's plan is quite genius, of course. If 42 is able disguise himself as and mimic Holder perfectly, they'll be able to sneak wherever they want to go. He must have experience with this, considering his aptitudes.
It begs the question -- is "Agent 42", too, an act? A mask he has to wear?

42 seems to fit in well to this place. Hell, he even has a cyanide capsule tooth. This only raises further questions...
Under what circumstances would 42 need to use his cyanide capsule? Would it be under his own orders, or Minister Therefore's? What kinds of missions are within his jurisdiction? Would the Ministry be willing to lose 42 like that?
Much to think about.

The Boatman must be very powerful.
It appears that they have control over Agent 42's ability to move forward in time and they are exacting time using the watch that is on 42's wrist which is interesting and he probably deserved it. This likely is what was owed to the Boatman in the "you owe me" note and I think that it is good that 42 is paying for his crime which was likely a deal that he made and I wonder if that has anything to do with the Traitor card also which he probably deserved to receive and he should get shot again right now.

The Grey Eye finale.
This part was quite exciting. Heh. Here are a few of my overall notes.
The Grey Eye (Credence Clover) on 42: “Is anything precious to you? You don’t even know, do you? Your boss knows more about you than you do.”
The Grey Eye shoots Max. Good. She also couldn't get a single hit on him, a fact which he seemed to be aware of beforehand. Embarrassing.
Tucker goes down. Agent 42 valiantly shoots down the Discerning Eye chasing them immediately after, turning on a dime to get them. The tension is undeniable.
42 brings Teeth back from being downed, and she isn't happy. Teeth: “Don’t fucking touch me.” Tch. So much for friendship.
42 tries to give Max smoothie to help her, and she rudely refuses. What, she thinks she's better than 42 just because she denies herself any happiness? Tch.
42 gets Credence Clover's pistol -- the silencing pistol. Heh. I'm sure he'll put that to good use.
Overall, I found Credence Clover's interactions with 42 to be quite... informative. Clearly, Clover can see and respect a person like 42 like no one else. Additionally, Clover's specific statements on 42 are quite interesting "You don't even know" and "Your boss knows more about you than you do". I believe my previous suspicions were correct, as expected.
42 likely does not have all of his memory, or has blocked out some sort of trauma. Minister Therefore, however, does have this information. Minister Therefore must be withholding this information -- but with what intentions? That, I'm not quite sure yet. But I know I'll be the one to find out.

I knew it.
Agent 42. There was something about him that was different. I just knew it. I could sense it from the very beginning. And as of this episode, my suspicions were confirmed
Agent 42 is a changeling.
Of course. He's clearly incredibly talented at his job. He lives a life of mystery. Exceptions have clearly been made about him to his job, as he doesn't live with ordinary, lesser agents. He has the wherewithal to not only work directly for Minister Therefore but to get into a deal with another member of the pantheon within his world. Heh. An enigma, through and through.
Think of the opportunities this allows... What are the lives Agent 42 has lived? What ways has his changeling nature been used by the Ministry he works for? Are changelings particularly sought-out or defined within his society? Has he always been Agent 42, or has he taken on other forms?
A complex figure, indeed. Hn. I will be investigating further.
Signing off,
Agent 24 (AKA X)

42's person.
This has occurred twice over the course of Sinncitti. 42 has been affected by the drugs or influence of this world, and he has seen the same thing -- person -- twice.
Who is he seeing?
It seems even he is confused by this development. Does he now know who the person is? What has occurred to separate him from this person that he clearly holds dear? Did he forget them? Were they taken from him? Even 42 himself clearly wants to know more.
Just another addition to the long line of characters who are romantically intertwined with 42. Heh.

Sinncitti fanfiction.
Tumblr media
Sinnicitti inspired me, so I decided to finally write a 42-centric fic. It's just a short piece. I'll likely get around to a longer one later.

42 got shot.
42 got shot.
I didn't think this was possible, but that bitch Max tricked the party.
It seems that she mistook them as the same forces that they mistook her for. Hn. How irritating. And to think that she managed to get a shot in on 42.
Obviously, Max is nowhere near as talented as 42 is. It appears that 42 was unnaturally slowed. It seems that it has something to do with his "watch", and therefore the Boatman.
It seems that the Boatman is exacting what is "owed" to them by 42 in seconds. Hn. This does not bode well for 42, as it seems the Boatman is taking it in increments where it would be most dangerous to 42. Still, there are 59 seconds left on the watch face currently. The light teal on his body is clearly growing, despite how he tries to conceal it. What happens if the teal overtakes him? And will it stop once the watch has ticked down to its last second?

Vincent and 42's last interaction.
Absolutely fascinating.
42 decided not to stay disguised when he approached Vincent. I recorded a few of the lines that they shared with one another.
“Somebody got lucky -- or unlucky?” - Vincent likely said this because 42 was still wearing Holder's clothes. The tension is undeniable.
42 revealed to Vincent that Holder chose to die by cyanide, and that he was planning to mark Vincent. Vincent took this relatively well.
“You fucked up. Holder doesn’t drink.” - Vincent. Heh. He's pretty clever.
“How’d you do that?” - V, in reference to appearing as Holder.
“It’s a party trick.” - 42
The tension. I hope these two cross paths again. Clearly they have much to discuss.
