'Restricted area' was more of a challenge than a warning, especially to the two agents who made it their personal mission to scope out every square inch of Alterna.

New Agent 3s Viorel and Veronica had been scoping out a particular building that happened to have a very breakable door. They hadn't found much of note- Only servers too heavy for them to feasibly pocket. It had been easy. Too easy...

No amount of enemies or perilous parkour could compare to the greatest danger the pair of cephalopods would face in the building: A set of sprinklers and a tripped fire alarm.

Not even ink sprinklers, mind you (though the inkling found them just as annoying)- They sprayed water. Because of course they still had functional waterworks, ORCA loves it some safety regulations that'll get an inkfish killed.

Between the blaring alarm and the flecks of water that slipped past the cover they made with part of the door, it's a small miracle they noticed him say anything at all.

They snort, and grin up at him.

"Race to the exit?" They suggest half jokingly, shifting their footing in case they might need a running start.

My design for Agent N3O.

I wanted to make them slightly infected with the fuzzy ooze. Their ears are like a dog’s, they developed claws and some fluff because if the ooze. Additionally their tentacles have strands of messy hair and their spots are rainbow like the ooze. Their eyes are pink and blue with yellow pupils.

I like to think they are slightly similar to Captain 3 that they are less expressive but instead of having a neutral face they always look slightly angry due to their survivalist nature after living in splatlantis and working at Grizzco (before small fry). However, they become super soft with small fry due to their close relationship.

Assorted Andromeda Aster / N3O headcanons

Andi has lived 'alone' in the Splatlands desert for seven years. Her father escaped an Octarian dome with her, but died before they reached Splatsville. Untrusting of anyone she meets, she decides to stay in the desert rather than run to an orphanage.

Of course, she's not actually alone. Andi is accompanied by a young Goldie ( often jokingly called a 'Goldie-Fry' ) named The Stellar Halo of the Little Cloud, or, Cloud for short. Cloud is basically her little brother.

Andi speaks passable Inklish and Octarian, and is fluent in Salmonid. She tends to get tripped up by idioms and other turns of phrase. She reads rather slowly, due to her lack of schooling, but she loves to learn new things.

For a few years now, Andi has made a home out of an old van-bus, which is rusted and barely running. She doesn't actually drive it much, and most of the inside has been gutted to make room for a bed and cooking supplies. She has a large collection of cassette tapes, a few of which are old school audiobooks. Andi uses them alongside print copies of said books to try and learn to read at a higher level, though her progress is slow.

Andi makes her money by scrapping junkyard machines for good parts and useable metal. Cloud helps her find things that she would otherwise miss by being so small.

Because of her history as a scrapper and Octarian escapee, Andi is incredibly mistrustful of new people. She rarely turns her back from anything she's scrapped, and booby traps things she hasn't had the chance to break down yet.

This mistrustfulness initially extends to the New Squidbeak Splatoon, as they are strangers in her territory. However, Captain Cuttlefish very quickly gets her affection ( based on his ambient dialogue, he seems to genuinely check in on N3O and tries to feed them, the instant key to Andi's loyalty. )

Andi's relationships with the other agents: - Agents 1 & 2 / Callie and Marie: Andi refers to them as 'Aunties.' This is a sign of respect, though it could be taken as an age-related insult, due to Andi's flat affect. - Captain 3 / Tsunaomi: Because Tsunaomi takes time to make sure Andi is well taken care of and safe in Alterna, Andi quickly is endeared to her. She accidentally refers to Tsu as 'mom' enough times that she just gives in, and asks to call her that. Tsu agrees. - Agent 4 / Rayne: Andi's interactions with Rayne during story mode are limited, but she does 'meet' him over voice call. She thinks he's very energetic, and that's not always praise. Don't worry, he wins her over. - Agent 8 / Eden: Eden stops by in Alterna when she can, mainly to repair weapons and offer words of advice. Again, Andi sees a very familial tie there, attaching to Eden like a niece. She also likes 8TRCKS, but doesn't connect the tapes she has to the agent she meets.

Of course, that was a suggestion. However, knowing the Squid Sisters they wouldn't back down with a fight-- And since this squid was their Agent...Well, the obvious might happen! They weren't going down without a fight!

Captain 3

obviously 3 HAD to be the leader and founder. also since shes the oldest LOL for the rap battle bit alone i made her the main rapper. grungy tone cold flow scalding lyrics and hype as hell.. i don’t listen to kpop much but i guess like rap monster from bts? also dj sango just had to make her the main mixer. she’s over the shoulder of any producer with a death glare and she likes to freestyle dj and look for inspiring samples in her free time.

Agent 4

since the face of the group is basically the PR member getting invited out to places, agent 4’s always stepping up and representing the group with quick wit and loads of charisma. i wanted to make her the main dancer originally but i had to save something for neo LOL so i think main still works! doing most of the dancing at the front and hyping up neo

Agent 8

ok so i never got this far in my draft but i took inspo from marina being the vocalist of oth. agent 8 canonically likes poetry and whatnot so i feel like she’d do some singing to herself. she fits the flowey shape language of a singer i could stick her in a dress and drop her off at a jazz gig. Her importance across all the stories makes it make sense that she’d be lead vocal which is Important i think. also she just looks ethereal she deserves visual most visuals in kpop girl groups that i really like have her long hair and catlike features

Neo Agent 3

I just think the youngest getting center so they’re always visible is Nice. out of all of the agents only second to 4 i feel like neo gets out the most and would be a cypher cat (a breakdancer who does a lot of dancing in the midde of the circle/cypher). idk i just think itd be nice

💤 - How does your muse sleep? Are they a light sleeper, or are they out the moment their head hits the pillow? Do they nap? Do they struggle to sleep due to things like insomnia, or nightmares?

Late sleeper early riser. If he could afford to nap at any chance, he could. But he doesn't get much sleep because of depression and anxiety- It is more prominent when he takes the N3O Agent. He manages three struggles at once: Saving the world/finding a cure for his mom, managing the flower business, and visiting his mom in the hospital. Which leads to him eventually developing a mild case of insomnia.

He's also.. a party goer and he goes hard when he parties; so you can only guess where that's going: Up all night and sleep all day! That's only if his schedule allows him to.
