Favorite Kylux moment

so bc I've only seen the first movie mine is actually from a comic! I find those easier than sitting through whole movie out of theaters; I think the phasma book will have the same effect so I plan on getting it from the library!!

It's probably the moment Kylo is talking to snoke as Hux is killing a guy, because so normally kylo is painted as the guy doing all the murder, and hux is just ABSOLUTELY shooting brooks to death and smiling as he does it and they just dESERVE EACH OTHER

(this is from Age of resistance!! there are a few other comics, and you can find scans online, because at this point local comics shops probably DO NOT have them unless they're doing a secondhand sale)

I would love to know more about what happened between these two moments. Snoke being a friend Kylo could to when scared, to becoming a master that hits him.

This was clearly not the first time, as Kylo seems to accept this treatment from Snoke.

I think Kylo always viewed Snoke as a master somewhat. Afterall, he killed Voe, claiming there was no point to her living without a master. So he must have already viewed Snoke like that otherwise there would be no point in him living himself, going by his own logic.

But when did Snoke start to frame himself as a master and not as a friend? What was Kylos reaction then?

i said this under someone else's post but i just wanna get this out there especially in the tags and PLEASE spread this around if you see people encouraging piracy for any of the age of resistance (or sw in general) comics! :(

i'm all for pirating disney movies including the SW movies but DISNEY DOES NOT OWN MARVEL COMICS and pirating them does not affect disney in any way, it only hurts the already-struggling writers and artists who work for marvel and it hurts our chances of getting more stories like these.

What I Love And Hate About This Comic Panel

These are visions in a hollow tree that is absolutely drenched in Darkness. Kylo is supposed to go in here and face his worst fears and defeat them.

This is his worst fear. That his parents really do love him and want him back.

Think about that. This is a fear. That all that he’s done, all that he’s going to do, no matter what they will still love him and that he is always going to be Ben.

And even knowing this is Not Real, that he needs to defeat this part of himself, he can’t even strike against their shades. He is so afraid of this and he still can’t slay it in his heart, his need to be taken back. 

That’s fucking heartbreaking, honestly. And that he’s able to keep it from Snoke who’s eavesdropping right outside, hides it well enough that his master has no inkling that he’s failed? Baby Haysus on a stick, Kylo, just how strong are you already in the art of deception? Not like you’ve had to hide everything your entire life or anything. 

Luke, you got so much to answer for. You didn’t start it maybe, but you sure ended it (/hashtag billy joel we didn’t start nuthin’)

Thoughts on Age Of Resistance:Snoke

I don’t know why I bothered expecting anything to see how Snoke turned Ben Solo or learn anything about Snoke’s character as this is the man who destroyed 30 years of peace and turned Han and Leia’s son to the dark side and destroyed Luke’s new Jedi Order and Luke’s spirit. But no, instead of any of that we just get Kylo already being Kylo Ren and Snoke training Kylo that shows Dagonah’s cave destroyed.

I wanted to see Snoke turning his heart and see that Snoke had him even before Luke entered his hut. I want to know who Snoke was and where he came from. I want to see how Ben Solo so easily turned on Luke and his family. These are interesting things that would enhance the Sequel trilogy. But they never show that stuff, so the ST remains a rather shallow husk devoid of any substance or any unique world building.

You don’t even use the fact that Snoke KNEW Han, Luke and Leia. Leia knew that Snoke was out there, so Leia sent Ben with Luke for his protection. So Leia knew Ben was being influenced and later figured it was Snoke somehow, but the writers never bother to tell us who he actually is and Luke failed (again) to stop the spread of Snoke’s influence and then made it worse. TLJ novel implies Snoke met Luke at some point and convinced him that he should rebuild the Jedi, so Snoke could kill them off at once at a later time. So Luke Skywalker’s Jedi were a ploy by Snoke to destroy them and Luke didn’t realize what was going on until that night. Even though Luke and Leia knew of Snoke and what he was up to, they still failed and not only that, but the writers took the time set this up, but not go through the hard work of explaining how this makes sense. So much of the ST is saying vague shit so they don’t have elaborate, which probably wouldn’t make sense anyway. I mean Luke’s says he sees great evil in Ben, but it’s never specified because what would be so scary that Luke would kill his nephew, his best friend and sister’s son when he could not kill Vader? You could explain that one last adventure that Luke, Han and Leia had they encountered Snoke and to prevent another Palpatine, they gave him the majority of his injuries, but he survived and went after Ben Solo as revenge. But fuck world building right?

And he just wears the same stupid robe from TLJ

Could I expect anything less from a creatively bankrupt “canon” writers? Where the hell is Timothy Zahn, Daniel Wallace, Matthew Stover and James Luceno when I need good world building? It’s sad and pathetic that my idea of Snoke being a fallen Whills or Darth Plagueis is better than what we actually got from Snoke in canon. “Your Snoke theory sucks” No you unoriginal hack, your inability to do ANYTHING with the character fucking sucks.
