I love this piece so much, I knew I needed something big from you to commemorate the end of the Axia campaign, I was so satisfied with Agarona’s arc, and how her interactions with Quentin progressed! (As is often the case, there just wasn’t enough communication and I was so glad they were eventually able to talk things out in the end!)

Always thought they’d get along, there was just so much that kept getting in the way- the thing with Aloria, Quentin’s role as the champion of Heriot, and Quentin being kept in the dark about everything going on with Agarona and ITH.

Commission done for @jade-mod of a campaign end piece. Quentin and Agarona had a pretty rough relationship, neither really getting along with the other, but they found some sort of mutual ground in the end.

@bluebrush09arts ‘s Quentin and my Agarona end up snapping at each other after she tries to apologize for him being left in the dark about the issues with her patron: which had resulted in the death of Cammy (temporarily, thankfully: but the risk had still been too high)

Finished up a couple of (much-older) Axia sketches, back from when Agarona nearly died very shortly after joining the crew!

Agarona's familiar Gnyarly says that ally NPC Niera has been marked for death by Agarona's patron ITH, "It That Hungers". Looking for any other option, she thinks killing a downed enemy would be an acceptable alternative - @rosexknight's Cammy, in the process of trying to redeem said foe, is having none of it.

Thanks so much again Rose! This was such a fun surprise to get- I remember how excited you were for her to join! (And how unready yall were for her situation XD). I’m so happy with how good a fit she ended up being for the game, was a very good time!

On the Docks of Curoq

I've had this in my WiPs for FOREVER and I am very happy to have it done~! Agarona was a later addition to the Axia campaign, but no less welcome! Here she is on the docks of Curoq, SO excited as the Light's Lament comes into port. She couldn't wait to meet them, though her familiar Gnyarly was less enthused.

Thanks so much Zen, this is so cool!!! Love the palette swap, and the other subtle touches (the scythe taking on a more vampiric aspect, moon emblems on belt instead of tentacles!). She’s terrifying and I love her! Definitely a lot of fun looking into alternate paths one could have taken- and reassuring to know that there’s more hope on her current one, as sinister as her patron is

Necessitating a slight wardrobe change, @jade-mod's Agarona being found by a vampire instead of her current Patron presents a harrowing possibility!

A scene from out-of-session rp from our "pirates of Axia" campaign, in which my character Agarona has a relaxing evening smoking with @zenaquaria 's Captain Thunder, resulting in heavier conversation with the crew's newest member, who has been behaving oddly. Thunder reinforces her point about life being fleeting but precious with a magically-frozen orb of ice.

(refs are from d&d but she can definitely be adapted into a modern or other setting)

Agarona would definitely find Pel attractive and be up for some fun (&/or trouble…). Early in her story she’s just looking for a good time as she’s been led to believe the world is going to end soon and nothing really matters. Later she manages to escape her cult and start trying to figure out her own morality and what to live for.

Constellation of Threads

Guess who actually died tonight. Don't worry, she got better thanks to a clutch revivify from her friend. Another player, Agarona, ended up making a deal with a dark entity, and wanted to sever the link and deal in that. As we were warned, the entity would not let go easily, and we ended up fighting a hydra with the heads of angler fish. Cammy, being a big source of radiant magic, was targeted, and got focused by eight heads. She was made quick work of, and eaten. Her injuries included many broken bones, severed fingers, a broken horn and tail, a slash across her face that took out her eye, and several other gashes along her body. Can the injuries be fixed? We'll have to see.

Her last thoughts are to her friends. Her family. Her admiral. I wonder if I've done enough...

On the other side, between the Halls of Silence and reality, she asked Heriot what path her judgement was destined for. She had done so much bad. "I just want to do more good in the end than bad..." Heriot plucked a thread from the sky, and one thread became many, until countless threads were streaking across the sky like constellations. "You have done more good than even he has done bad." The relief that washed over her, the knowledge that she was given, almost made dying worth it.

Looking back on this year I got a lot more art done than I thought! With at least 51 complete pieces finished (excluding additional unfinished sketches!) that's almost one a week! (Though it was a bit more heavily loaded towards the end of the year, with half of them being completed in fall of this year)

Aster got the most attention with 12 pieces: Agarona was next with 6. Ula got 3, and Jade&Petunia 2. (The rest of the Phandelver team showed up at least thrice, Curse of Strahd and Axia crews at least twice each, and Trit's Thorne twice as well!)

I'm hoping to get momentum back going into the new year, and keep it up! D&D in particular has been a great inspiration!

Revamped ref of Agarona, since I’ll be playing her in D&D soonish!  (Lots of credit to @rosexknight for helping out with the redesign, since she ended up drawing her before I even finished this haha!  In particular helped a lot getting the more “scythe”-like shape of the halberd, tentacle patterns on the shirt, colors, and tattoo (mostly hidden in this image)

In D&D she is a fathomless warlock, with Gnyarly (the octopus on her shoulder) as her familiar and... definitely not conscience, but “external brain” of sorts.  I’m very interested to see what the DM does with her patron, Ith, since I left most of the details up to him aside from the general concept.
