@bluebrush09arts ‘s Quentin and my Agarona end up snapping at each other after she tries to apologize for him being left in the dark about the issues with her patron: which had resulted in the death of Cammy (temporarily, thankfully: but the risk had still been too high)

🔥Agarona Gunnbataar

(refs are from d&d but she can definitely be adapted into a modern or other setting)

Agarona would definitely find Pel attractive and be up for some fun (&/or trouble…). Early in her story she’s just looking for a good time as she’s been led to believe the world is going to end soon and nothing really matters. Later she manages to escape her cult and start trying to figure out her own morality and what to live for.

A scene from out-of-session rp from our "pirates of Axia" campaign, in which my character Agarona has a relaxing evening smoking with @zenaquaria 's Captain Thunder, resulting in heavier conversation with the crew's newest member, who has been behaving oddly. Thunder reinforces her point about life being fleeting but precious with a magically-frozen orb of ice.

Artfight revenge for @jade-mod ~! I knew I had to draw Agarona this year, and I am so proud of how this came out. She is so ready to fight, and her familiar, Gnyarly, is on the same page as her. They are completely in sync and nothing nefarious is happening, nope!

Revamped ref of Agarona, since I’ll be playing her in D&D soonish!  (Lots of credit to @rosexknight for helping out with the redesign, since she ended up drawing her before I even finished this haha!  In particular helped a lot getting the more “scythe”-like shape of the halberd, tentacle patterns on the shirt, colors, and tattoo (mostly hidden in this image)

In D&D she is a fathomless warlock, with Gnyarly (the octopus on her shoulder) as her familiar and... definitely not conscience, but “external brain” of sorts.  I’m very interested to see what the DM does with her patron, Ith, since I left most of the details up to him aside from the general concept.

Tabletop RPG character babbling time again!  (cause I was looking through some old art recently)

Here’s Agarona Gunnbataar!  (Above, original design drawn back in college, a collab and a commission by @s-ockhead (the 2nd one there I finished a sketched they scrapped while working on the commission)

She was an Infernal Exalted whose initial concept went something like ‘genghis/eowyn/pirate’- she’s a tall scary lady who wants to prove herself and rule the seas as a pirate queen.  

The campaign she was in was unanimously dubbed “Sea Bitches”, referring both to us the players, and our foes.  For we were all playing villainous women, but we actually had a noble goal:  to destroy the “Sea Mothers”- goddesses of the ocean who were responsible for the superstition that ill would befall ships that allowed women aboard- for the jealous goddesses could not abide other women entering their domain.  

Agarona excels at both combat (using her scythe or her ridiculously oversized cannon strapped to her back in the first picture) and running ships, but outside of her areas of expertise isn’t the brightest.  To that end she has Nyarly, a small squid demon (sadly, not pictured here) who rides along on her shoulder (or head), serving as a sort of external brain.  He also makes paintings to commemorate the awesome things she does. 

Agarona’s Lunar Mate, ITH (It That Hungers, sadly also not pictured), desires to consume all of Creation (including itself and Agarona- last, of course).  Luckily ITH is not remotely close to finishing this goal.  Though ITH did get to eat their last captain.

Agarona is very fond of the campaign’s “theme song”, and has it running 24/7 on loop through the ship’s speaker system (installed by the previous captain to make speeches, which were not much liked by the crew.  They disabled the speaker system, and eventually mutinied.  No one has dared mutiny against Agarona yet, though some have been nearly driven mad by the perpetually cheery music)

Thanks so much Zen, this is so cool!!! Love the palette swap, and the other subtle touches (the scythe taking on a more vampiric aspect, moon emblems on belt instead of tentacles!). She’s terrifying and I love her! Definitely a lot of fun looking into alternate paths one could have taken- and reassuring to know that there’s more hope on her current one, as sinister as her patron is

Necessitating a slight wardrobe change, @jade-mod's Agarona being found by a vampire instead of her current Patron presents a harrowing possibility!

Fiercely and jealously guarding that "gift" of eternal life, no matter who or what from!
