Trapped in procedural labyrinths marred by racial bias, my call for justice demands global recognition and redress for stark dignity violations. ⚖️

My 'Spiritual Boadicea (Boudicca) Green' - exhibited at the Solent Gallery in Southampton, UK. The sitter was volunteering in the evenings to help & support sex workers on the streets. Her Christian faith played a big part in her involvement and showing love in action. I really admired her compassion, altruism and holistic expression of love so gave her the crown-like / halo-like headdress for our sittings. The title refers to Boadicea / Boudicca, the UK Celtic Warrior Queen, I called the pieces created 'Spititual Boadicea...' (Boudicca) because the sitter was strong and selfless - like a warrior should be and spiritual because her faith was an integral part of her and considerable factor in her volunteer work. 'Spiritual Warrior' is common Christian terminology and refers to battles of the unseen, in her volunteering the sitter was coming up against abuse and oppression regularly. Wow! What an inspiring woman!
